Matthew Sucky here from Verity Baptist Church Manila providing another video on the topic of Calvinism and the perseverance of the Saints. And so in Jude chapter 1 verses 24 and 25 the Bible reads, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Savior be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and ever. Amen. And see the Bible says that the Lord is able to keep us faultless. He's able to keep us from falling. That does not mean we're going to be perfect. It doesn't mean that we're going to be without sin. But what it does mean is He keeps us safe. We are eternally secure. Once saved, always saved. So this does not guarantee that we're going to persevere unto the end and keep living a good life until the day we die like Calvinists like to say. But what the Bible says is He will keep us from falling. He will keep us from losing our salvation and He's able to present us faultless. Now look, we are still going to have sins. We're not perfect. We're never going to be perfect. But you know, we have our body and we have our soul. And when we get saved, our soul is made perfect forever. And there is no mark, no sin, no mistakes. There's nothing wrong with our soul. It's actually perfect. Now our body is going to choose to sin every single day. We're not perfect. We're still in the flesh. We have the Spirit of God, but we also have the flesh as believers. And we are going to make mistakes. We are going to choose to commit sin sometimes. But regardless of that, He's still going to keep us from falling. He's still going to present us faultless. Why? Because of the fact God promises once you're saved, you're always saved. So there's no doubt that that promise is in the Bible, but that is not the same thing as the perseverance of the saints. Perseverance of the saints teaches you will persevere and live a good life until the day you die. That's not what you see in Jude 1 verses 24 and 25. What you see is that God will keep you faultless even though you do commit sins. Thank you and God bless.
