Hey everybody, Pastor Steven Anderson here from Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona with another Trinity moment proving that the Trinity is the Truth and that modalism is a lie and in this series so far I've mainly talked about the Father and the Son But I want to mention also now the Holy Spirit as the third person in the Godhead Listen to what the Bible says in John 16 beginning in verse 13 Howbeit when he the spirit of truth has come he will guide you into all truth for he shall not speak of himself But whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak and he will show you Things to come so that right there shows that the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Jesus Christ These are three persons within the Godhead Father Son and Holy Ghost. They're not one person Okay There's one God made up of Father Son and Holy Ghost because it says right here that the Holy Spirit will not speak of himself So if the Holy Spirit and the Father and the Son are all the same person then that would be him speaking of himself The modalist claim that Jesus prayed to himself that he sent himself that he obeyed himself, you know But whenever you look up the word self in the Bible, you see that Jesus says I didn't send myself You know I I'm not speaking these things of myself and now the Holy Spirit is even brought in and it says that he will not speak of himself That shows there's another person Jesus he's gonna take of Christ's words and show it unto them. He's not gonna speak of himself If modalism were true, if oneness were true, then he would be speaking of himself The next verse says he shall glorify me So he's not glorifying himself The Holy Ghost is glorifying Jesus. It says he shall glorify me for he shall receive of mine And shall show it unto you all things that the Father hath are mine Therefore said I that he shall take of mine and shall show it unto you a little while and ye shall not see me And again a little while and ye shall see me because I go to the Father So right here in this passage, you have all three mentioned the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost clearly as three persons You know one goes to the other one glorifies the other one gives the words to the other and they say hey I didn't send myself. I didn't speak this of myself. The Holy Ghost didn't speak of himself It's crystal clear folks. You have to deny hundreds of clear scriptures in order to believe in this modalist oneness heresy
