(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) Hello everybody, it's me, MrTall23 back in the video, going to do a quick sound check. Alright so the sound is working. This is part 2 of the video that I started yesterday, in which I exposed this false prophet named Colin Michael. And one thing I just want to kind of mention before I start this video that I learned yesterday is that his real name isn't Colin Michael. I think Michael is his middle name, but if you talk about his first and last name, his name is something like Colin Rutkowski or something like that. You'll find that on his old videos. I found an old channel of his where it says Colin Rutkowski. So that's his real name, but his channel is called Colin Michael and that's easier to say, so I'm just going to say that. I'm going to continue to say that. But anyway, just as a recap, we're going through three of his videos. One of the videos I went through mostly yesterday, it's called The Five Deceptions in the Church. I talked about the first four deceptions. In this video I want to talk about the fifth so-called deception that he speaks about in this video and then go into his other two videos which are a bit shorter. So I don't want to spend much more time in introduction because I already gave an introduction yesterday. Getting into it, the last so-called deception that he mentions in his video is that once saved always saved, also known as eternal security, is a false doctrine. Now that's typical. There's a lot of so-called Christians who reject that. There's a lot of people who don't believe in eternal security, but let's just see what the Bible says and whether it teaches that we have everlasting life, that we will never lose our salvation. First of all, eternal security is just as much of a taught doctrine in the Bible as salvation by faith. It's very important to understand this, that this is part of our salvation. I want to start off with the verse John 3.16. It says, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Now notice what is given here, everlasting life. That phrase, just like the word believe, is not a difficult phrase to understand. The word everlasting means it lasts forever. Likewise there's a similar term, eternal life, and eternal means does not end. Therefore if we have eternal or everlasting life, we have life which lasts forever or does not end. That's eternal security right there, the fact that if we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, we have everlasting life, meaning a life that will never end. Since the Bible calls hell death and the lake of fire the second death, that means that we'll never go to these places if we believe. Why? Because life is everlasting. If we were ever to end up there for any reason, if we were to lose our salvation and go to hell as He teaches that we can, then it would not be everlasting, it would be temporary or conditional. But that's not what the Bible teaches, it teaches that we have everlasting life. And for those of you who might say, well we don't yet have everlasting life, that's just something that we're given in the future, but it says a few verses later in John 3.36, He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. Hath is present tense. Jesus says this again in John 6.47, He says, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life. The moment you believe, you have the everlasting life. That's why it says in Ephesians 2.1, you hath he quickened, which are dead in trespasses and sins. He's not saying you're going to be quickened, you're going to be given life, which means, because quickened means to make alive, He's saying that you've already been quickened, you were dead in trespasses and sins, but you have been made alive by the Spirit. So the moment that you believe on the Son, you're given life. It says the same thing in Colossians 2.13, and you being dead in your sins, and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. So we were dead, we were made alive when our trespasses were forgiven, when we were saved. So the Bible repeatedly tells us that forgiveness of sins or remission of sins is when we have faith. It says blessed is a man whose iniquities are forgiven, that's present tense, and whose sins are covered. Salvation is not a process, it is a moment in time, that's why the Bible calls us saved. It's past tense, it has a D on the end, saved. We are saved, it's not we are being saved or we will be saved. We have been saved from our sins already because we trusted in Jesus Christ. Now consider the next verse, it says in John chapter 5 verse 24, verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is past from death unto life. Again if it wasn't clear enough already, we have another clear verse telling us that those who believe hath everlasting life. Again it's present tense. Remember what everlasting life means, it means life that lasts forever. So don't misunderstand his saying, or in case you do misunderstand his saying, he says right after that, he shall not come into condemnation. Now shall not is not a hard phrase to understand either. If Jesus says it won't happen, then it won't happen. So if somebody hears the word and they believe on Jesus Christ or they believe the one that sent Christ because Jesus said he that believeth on me believeth on him that sent me in John 12. So if we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we have everlasting life at that moment and we shall not come into condemnation. As he said back in John 3.18, he that believeth on him is not condemned. So that means if I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, no matter what, I will not be condemned to hell. If you say otherwise, then you're saying that Jesus is lying here because he said that those who believe on him shall not come into condemnation. Or here's another thing that Jesus says in John chapter 5 verse 24. He says that those who believe on him is past from death unto life. Again, the use of the word is shows that this is present tense. So again, all who believe, they've already passed from death unto life. They've already been quickened who were dead and trespasses and sins. They've been given eternal life or everlasting life, which means that it lasts forever. It's very simple. Or how about John 6? This is a very clear passage verse 38 to verse 40 says, for I came down from heaven not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the father's will, which has sent me that of all which he hath given me. I should lose nothing, but should raise it again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me that everyone would see if the son and believe with on him may have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day. So in verse 38, Jesus makes it clear that he came to fulfill the will of the father. He makes that clear throughout his ministry. He said, not my will, but thine be done when he was praying to the father. So what is the will of the father that Jesus came to do? Well, according to verse 39, the will of the father is that all, which means all unless you're Calvinist, which I know he's not, but all which he has given me, I should lose nothing. Nothing is not a hard word to understand either, but he says, I should raise it up again at the last day. So if we belong to Christ, then we're not going to be lost. All who are his will be raised again at the last day. Now that's not clear enough. Verse 40 says everyone, everyone, not some people, everyone that see at the son and believe it on him may have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day. Again, it doesn't say he might raise them up. It depends. They may lose their salvation. No, if you believe and thus become a son of God, then you're not going to be lost. You will be raised again at the last day when Jesus comes back. That is a promise. Now here's another verse just a little bit later in that chapter, John 6, 47, I already quoted from it. Barely, barely, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life. Again, if you believe on the Lord Jesus, you have everlasting life. That's present tense. Those who are trusting in Christ right now, regardless of what else they do, they have life which will never be lost. They will not come into condemnation. They were dead, but are quickened together with him. Now in John chapter 10, verse 28 to 29, Jesus says, and I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My father, which gave them me is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my father's hand. So in case you still don't get what eternal life or everlasting life means, Jesus says to those who have eternal life that they shall never perish. Perishing or death is the opposite of life. A three year old understands that death and life are not the same thing, they're opposites. If you're not alive, you're dead. If you're not dead, you're alive. Therefore if the life lasts forever, which is what eternal means, then it makes sense that those who have eternal life will never perish. So again, if somebody believes that today or somebody believes in the Lord Jesus Christ today, the Bible says they have everlasting life. These false teachers like Paul and Michael say that if a person fall into sin later, they will go to hell, they will lose their salvation. But if that happened, then the statement they shall never perish would not be true because they did in fact perish. Jesus said, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Perishing is the fate of the lost and the unrepentant. It simply means to die. So if somebody's soul dies and goes to hell, then they perished. But Jesus said they shall never perish. Do you believe that or not? If you say no, then you're calling God a liar and his word is not in you. In John chapter 10 also, Jesus makes it clear that no man is able to pluck you out of Jesus's hand or out of the father's hand. Now some will twist that and say that the father will let you go if you sin, which is again stupid because God said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. In Hebrews chapter 13 verse five, he didn't say I might leave you, I might forsake you. It just depends on how good of a person you are. No he said that he will never leave us nor forsake us. Not only that, but we already read in John chapter six earlier, Jesus said that all of them that are given to him, he should lose nothing. So if Jesus or the father casts you out of his hand, then they're losing somebody. And that verse would henceforth be meaningless. These people just have to flat out deny these scriptures in order to teach that you can lose your salvation. And here's another one that they have to flat out deny. John chapter 11 verse 25 to 26, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection of life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Now that's one of my favorite verses because there's no denying what it says. Every time I talk with somebody who says that you can lose your salvation or that once saved always saved is false, I show them this verse and I ask them the same question that Jesus asked to Martha, believeth thou this? And every single time without fail, I made a video about it a couple of weeks ago and you can find these throughout videos I've made about eternal security where people are commenting on my videos that almost every single time they'll just dodge the question or just not respond or change the subject because they don't have an answer. If never perish is not obvious enough, then what about never die? According to the scriptures, whosoever, meaning anybody who liveth and believeth in Christ shall never die. Again, that means if at any point down the road in our Christian's life, if you were to lose your life and go to hell, the statement wouldn't be true. Know what? I actually believe what the Bible says. Colin does not. And the Bible says, he that is of God heareth God's words. He therefore hath not because you're not of God. This man is not of God. He does not believe John 11 26. Now here's another verse that's very clear. Romans chapter 8 verse 38 to 39. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate them or separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So he says things present nor things to come. Basically everything that exists right now and everything that will exist in the future cannot separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. If we are saved, we become the children of God. God loves us but there are some people God says to, I will love them no more. In Hosea chapter 9 verse 15. There's nothing that can cause God to ever say to us or ever say that to us that he will love us no more because it says that nothing could separate us from the love of God. We're saved from the wrath of God through the blood of Christ according to Romans 5 9. We're no longer under his wrath nor ever will be. Only those who believe not the son have the wrath of God abiding on them. He said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. His love will never depart from us. That's a promise in the Bible. Here's another clear passage Ephesians chapter 1 verse 12 to 14. It says that we should be to the praise of his glory who first trusted in Christ in whom ye also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth the gospel of your salvation in whom also after that ye believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession unto the praise of his glory. So of those who trust or believe in Christ it says in verse 13 that they are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Isn't that what we see throughout the Bible that the Holy Ghost indwells us once we believe? Jesus said in John 7 38 he that believeth on me as the scripture hath said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water and specifically defines that in verse 39 it says in verse 39 this spake ye of the spirit which they that believe on him should receive. So if we believe on Christ we have the Spirit of God. The Bible says know ye not that ye are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 so that those who believe and are born again are given the Spirit to indwell them. But notice what Jesus said when he prophesied to his disciples on the night of his arrest concerning the coming of the Holy Ghost. He said and I will pray the Father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever even the Spirit of truth John chapter 14 verse 16 to 17. So according to Jesus Christ the comforter which is the Holy Ghost defines that you know verse 26 he abides with us forever. To say that the Holy Spirit can ever depart from us is a false doctrine. We are given the Holy Ghost which according to Ephesians 1 is the earnest of our inheritance. The inheritance of the kingdom of God until the redemption of the purchased possession. We've already talked about the time of redemption of the body. That's speaking of what the Romans about this time of the redemption of the purchased possession that this is speaking about the redemption of the body according to Romans 8. That takes place at the rapture. Now there's another verse in Ephesians which talks about this. It says in Ephesians chapter 4 verse 30 and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby you're sealed unto the day of redemption. Again if we have the Holy Spirit of God inside of us then we are sealed. He abides with us. It's not a temporary indwelling. That's why it uses the phrase earnest of our inheritance here in Ephesians chapter 1 and also in 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 22 it says he has sealed us and given us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Now if you look at what the word earnest means it's a sign or promise of something that will come. So if the Spirit is the earnest of our inheritance that is a promise that we will inherit the kingdom of God because Jesus said except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he shall not enter into the kingdom of God. The Spirit is that sign which seals us which seals our bodies until our bodies are redeemed as well at the moment at the rapture when we are changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. They were received up into heaven at the rapture and reign forever as kings and priests with Christ in the kingdom of heaven. Here's another passage which clearly teaches eternal security. Psalm 89 verse 31 to 33 it says if they break my statutes and keep not my commandments then will I visit their transgression with a rod and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my loving kindness will I not utterly take from him nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. So this is speaking particularly of the descendants of David who take his throne. God promises that even if they disobey him he will visit their transgression with a rod and what does that mean? It means that they'll be punished. They'll be chastised or disciplined because God promises to chastise believers in Hebrews chapter 12 but it says his loving kindness will not be utterly taken from that man even if he breaks their commandments or even if he breaks God's commandments and his statutes. That's exactly what we saw in Romans 8 verse 38 to 39 that no matter what nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I mean just think for a second about how stupid and wicked this doctrine that you can lose your salvation is or that you can go to hell if you sin because when you think about it the Bible teaches that we are the sons of God when we're saved. It says in first John 3 one beloved now are we the sons of God then in Hebrews 12 it says whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If your children disobey you are you going to kill them? If your children disobey you does that make them not your children anymore? No. That's ridiculous. We're the children of God. God loves us as children and therefore he visits our transgression with a rod with chastisement as the Bible says a loving father should do but his loving kindness is never taken utterly from us. So the Bible says that we have eternal life. It says we shall not come into condemnation. We shall never die. We shall never perish. We will not be lost. God will not cast us out. He will never leave us. He will never forsake us. We're sealed with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a promise of our inheritance and on and on and yet these people still say that we can lose their salvation. That's not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that if we have faith in Christ you will never die on 11 26. Let's see what Colin Michael says about this whether or not he agrees with this clear doctrine in the Bible. Deception number five once you are saved you are always saved even if you sin as we talked about before with first John three eight he that commits sin is of the devil you're not of God if you're committing sin you are of the devil and we've already talked about that passage and how it's speaking of those who are born of God it says whosoever is born of God does not commit sin. That is speaking of the inward man the born-again spirit and not the flesh as it's written Romans 7 is no more I that do it but sin that dwelleth in me so if a Christian believes they are saved if they sin from man's perspective it is the flesh that's sitting it's sin that dwells in them not the new man falling into sin because the new man cannot sin according to first John three nine we've already talked about that so I'm not going to spend a lot of time on that particular verse so just moving on he does not give an explanation in this video and in another video the one one of them will discuss later about losing your salvation he quotes from the verse he doesn't explain it and in that video that were launched later in this part he just says that the context says that you can lose your salvation and then he doesn't even quote from the context or prove what he's saying just like what he did with Romans 3 and you'll if you watch the last video but I found another video by him called top seven scariest Bible verses that actually scare me and first of all just saying by the title that video the Bible says that God had not given us the spirit of fear so that should show you something about Colin Michael in the video he says that the verse indicate that Jesus's atonement is no longer effective for us because it says there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins and the eternal security deniers claim that that's referring to Jesus's sacrifice now that's probably one of the most used verses for those who believe in conditional security but if you actually do read the context that Colin Michael lies about here's what it actually says verse 10 to verse 18 by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all and every priest standard daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can never take away sins but this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever sat down in the right hand of God for henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool for by one offering he has perfected forever them that are sanctified where of the Holy Ghost also was a witness to us for after that he said before this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days saith the Lord I will put my laws into their hearts and their minds will I write and in their minds will I write them and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more now where remission of these is there is no more offering for sin when he says in verse 26 there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins what is he talking about he's talking about the animal sacrifices and offerings of the Old Testament that's the subject of the entire chapter up to that point that the blood of bulls and goats can never take away sins so Jesus Christ offered himself once for all he made one sacrifice for sins forever Jesus's sacrifice is eternal and therefore as it teaches throughout the entire book of Hebrews the animal sacrifices are done away with as it says in verse 18 there is no more offering for sin why because where remission of these is now what are these it says sins in the last verse that their sins and iniquities will I remember no more that's their mission of sin so when he says these he's talking about the sins that are remitted when we believe on Christ so where were missions of these is there is no more offering for sin people who are saved they don't need to offer up animal sacrifices is what it's saying what's being said in verse 26 to verse 31 is that if you willfully sin against God you can't just offer up a sacrifice to cover your sin since the sacrifice is no longer remain if you willfully sin you will be punished as it says in verse 30 it says the Lord shall judge his people so are we still his people yes we still belong to God even if God judges us and punishes us he does that to discipline us just like remember in Psalm 89 that he will visit our transgression with the rod and it's spoken of that in a few chapters later in Hebrews 12 it says in verse 5 to verse 7 my son despised not now the chastening of the Lord nor faint when thou art rebuked of him for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth if you endure chastening God dealeth with you as a sons for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not so if you're a son of God you will be chastened and rebuked by God according to this passage it says that he scourgeth every son of me receiveth now if only the only people who are who are real Christians or those who remain in obedience to God's commands if those are the only people who are truly God's children as this guy's claiming then what would be the point of chastening or scorching he chastens and scourges scourges us for a reason to get us on the right path because we've sinned against him just like if a child breaks his father's commandments the father is supposed to discipline them with the rod to get them into obedience so just because the Lord punishes us upon this earth just because he scourges and chastens us that doesn't mean that we lost our salvation that doesn't mean that we're not the children of God anymore he visits our transgression with the rod for those who break his statutes and commandments but he will not take his loving kindness utterly from us or as it says after that in Hebrews 13 he will never leave us nor forsake us so verse 26 has nothing to do with what he claims it has to do with moving on Galatians 5 verses 19 through 21 now the works of the flesh are manifest which are these adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness idolatry witchcraft hatred variance emulations wrath strife seditions heresies envying's murderies drunkenness revivals and such like of which I tell you before as I have also told you in time past that they would do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God revel we've already discussed that in part as well that it says in first Corinthians 6 verse 9 to 11 the same thing that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God it says that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God but it also says in verse 11 such were some of you but you are washed you are sanctified you are justified in the name of our Lord Jesus and the Spirit of our God so the Corinthians were considered wicked in the eyes of God in time past but they are washed according to Titus 3 5 those who are washed they're not done so by the works of righteousness which they have done but by his mercy by the washing of regeneration or renewing of the Holy Ghost so it's not by our own works so if we are washed we are washed because the grace of God because of the grace of God and not because of anything righteous which we have done which shows us that the Corinthians did not turn from their sins they were born again they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and they were given the Spirit of God that is why they're no longer considered sinners in God's eyes because if you read Romans 4 verse 7 and verse 8 again it says that the Lord has a forgiven their iniquities and covered their sins and it says blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not imbued sin so remember first John 3 9 says who serve is born of God does not commit sin we're talking about the Spirit not the flesh the born-again spirit and that's just obvious just from reading Galatians 5 the the passage that he quotes from all the things that lists are works of the flesh so all the things drunkenness the murder the adultery the fornication the idolatry the hatred etcetera those are all works of the flesh well that doesn't concern the born-again man because the Bible says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God so we're not going our flesh and blood isn't going to go to the kingdom of God anyway it's the spirit so of course those who do the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God because the flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of God our bodies are changed according to 1st Corinthians 15 the corruptible becomes in corruption the natural body becomes the spiritual body were changed in a moment in the twink of an eye at the last Trump that hasn't happened yet our bodies are still sinful so is Galatians saying that if a Christian falls into sin that they will lose their salvation no it doesn't say that it just says that those who do the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God well remember it is no more either do it but sin that dwelleth in me for I know that in me that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing that's what the scripture says not only that but as have you already seen from Ephesians chapter 1 verse 13 and 14 and 2nd Corinthians 1 22 the Spirit of God which indwells believers is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchase possession so the fact that we have the Holy Ghost which Jesus says abides with us forever shows that that shows us that there is a promise or a guarantee that we will inherit the kingdom of heaven that we are indeed joint heirs with Christ as the Bible calls us so moving on his next verse revelation 21 8 but the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whore mongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death again it's the same thing with Galatians 5 21 it doesn't say you'll lose your salvation I mean just stop for a second and just ask the question what is salvation because I don't think these people really understand what salvation is according to the Bible Jesus came to save sinners it's written thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins Christ came into this world to save us from our sins that's why it says in the scriptures that they which are in Christ Jesus there is no more condemnation in Romans 8 1 we are not we were condemned to hell we were dead trespassing the sins our souls were dead but now we're saved our sins are forgiven we're passed from death in the life there's no condemnation and we have everlasting life so if God says blessed is a man whose iniquities are forgiven his sins are covered blessed as a man to whom the Lord will not abuse sin that means that those who are justified have had their past sins wiped away and in the future sins will not be imputed unto them in the eyes of God we are justified we are made righteous through Jesus Christ we're no longer sinners even if our flesh sins remember the verse John 11 26 whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die so in Revelation 21 8 it says that the lake of fire is the second death so if the scriptures say that those who are saved will never die that means that they won't partake of the second death now if this were talking about people who lost their salvation here in this verse that he quotes then how in the world could it be said of believers that they should never die that's what Jesus said they have to deny those verses in order to come up with these weird false doctrines moving on verse 24 but when the righteous turn away from his righteousness and committed iniquity and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth shall he live all his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned in his trespasses he have trespassed and in his sins that he have sinned in them shall he die okay and notice what the verse actually says it says if they turn away from his righteousness and committed iniquity we're talking about a person here who is self-righteous who in their own righteousness turns away so there it says all his righteousness which he hath done shall not be mentioned that's basically what James chapter 2 verse 10 teaches that whoever will keep the whole law and yet offended one point he is guilty of all because he's still a transgressor he's still a sinner even if he just breaks one point that he fails to follow he's still a sinner so what Ezekiel 18 is actually showing us is what the New Testament explains in such passages as in Galatians 3 10 that anybody who tries to obey the law is under a curse because all have sin says curses the man who does not continue in all things were in the book of the law to do them so because everybody has sinned which there are plenty of verses in the Bible that says that there is none who becomes righteous through their own works in their own obedience to the law that's why it specifies this man's own righteousness however if we are saved we are justified by the righteousness of Christ as I mentioned the last video that the Bible says in Philippians 3 9 not having my own righteousness which is of the law but that which is through the faith of Christ the righteousness which of which is of God by faith so moving on so we can see very clearly from the Bible that if you are committing sin it says you will not inherit the kingdom of God because honestly if it is obedience that saves it is sin that leads to hell I mean the Bible has it but it's not obedience it says it's faith for by grace you saved through faith we've already looked at that from the Bible that that's not true so moving on change when the Bible says wages of sin is death doesn't change whether you're a Christian or not yes it does because Romans 6 23 the verse that says the wages of sin is death it also says that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord you can't just ignore the second half of the verse if the gift is eternal life that means it doesn't end if you say that we will iron our sins if you commit sin after being saved then this verse and a multitude of other verses such as Jesus's continuous promises of eternal life everlasting life that we will never die we'll never perish those would be meaningless because if you could lose your life then it wouldn't be eternal if you could lose your life then they shall never perish doesn't make any sense Romans 4 8 again says blesses the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin once we are justified by faith the Bible says that God does not impute sin unto us so therefore if we have eternal life and if our flesh sins it's not the new man that is sinning it's the old man the outward man if you commit sin the wages of that sin will be death but if you turn from that sin obey God you will have everlasting life no the Bible says whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die Jesus said he that believeth on me hath everlasting life has nothing to do with our obedience or our works it says in Jonah 3 10 God saw their works that they turned from their evil ways turning from your sin is a work in the eyes of God but the Bible makes it abundantly clear such as in Ephesians chapter 2 verse 9 that salvation is not of works plus any man should boast or Titus 3 5 not by works of righteous which we have done and I already talked about that a little bit in part 1 and I'll go into that a bit more when he talked about the next video where he which is called that Jesus taught a work salvation gospel which obviously is false but we'll get to that eventually so just finishing up this video idea that you can get saved at one point and then go off and sin every single day till the day you die you're gonna stand before God and he's gonna say well done my good and my faithful servant you weren't good you weren't faithful you're breaking God's commandments every single day nobody believes that saved Christians who don't do works after they're saved will be called a good and faithful servant the parable in Matthew 25 where Jesus uses that term is about receiving rewards in the kingdom of heaven not about salvation and that's another problem that you often see with work salvation is they don't understand the difference between being saved and getting their words in heaven Jesus's Jesus promises to reward every man according to his works but it does say also in the Bible that we are not saved by our works it says in Romans 4 4 to him that worketh is a reward reckoned not of grace but of debt and then right after that it says to him that worketh not will believeth on the justified the ungodly his faith is kind of righteousness so we are saved and justified by our faith and not of works but we receive our words by our works because God is paying us by debt so we're saved by grace but if we work after we're saved we are rewarded by debt and not by grace so the term good and faithful servant has nothing to do with salvation in the first place so I don't know where he's saying why he's saying this idea nobody has that idea it's not your fault and you're thinking that God's gonna be pleased with you God is not pleased with you as a sinner the Bible says in Psalm 5 5 and some 11 5 that his hatred is toward the sinner if you choose to live in again those who were justified by faith do not have their sins imputed unto them according to Romans 4 8 we're forgiven of our sins we are washed from our sin that we are born again we're not sinners in God's eyes although our flesh may take over and that's why God will chastise us upon this earth but he won't hate us as Colin Michaels basically saying he's saying that he will send us to hell that he will show hatred towards us now that contradicts several scriptures such as Romans 8 38 39 which we read already that says that nothing can separate us from the law of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord and then again Psalm 89 it says that even if somebody breaks his commandments and his statutes he will visit their transgression with the rod but he will not utterly take his loving kindness away from us so we are the sons of God if we have faith therefore God loves us as children and deals with us as with sons to whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth but there's no verse in the Bible that says that God will send our souls to hell or hate us because of what our flesh does he said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee you are willfully disobeying God and we see constantly throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament God is going to destroy sinners what you need to do is what James chapter 4 says submit yourselves therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you cleanse your hands ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double-minded be afflicted and mourning weak let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he shall lift you up you need to submit yourselves to God submit to God and not to the devil you are not under the devil's authority you under God's authority and you must obey him and not sin you need to cleanse your hands you need to purify your heart you need to turn from that sin that's what the self-cleansing is you cleaning yourself up cleaning you're wrapped up turning from those sins and say no I am not going to follow sin I am submitting to God I am bowing the knee to the king of kings and I'm going to follow him have godly sorrow for that sin and turn from it say enough I'm making the 180 I'm going to live my life for Christ he is Lord of my life don't be the people Jesus was talking to in Luke 6 46 when he says why do you call me Lord Lord and not do the things which I command you're going to call Jesus your Lord you must obey him I agree with all of that I agree that everything with everything you just said that we should obey Christ we should follow God and turn from our sins not in order to be saved because that's impossible that's another thing that these work salvationists don't understand they think that because we say that salvation is by faith alone that means that we don't do everything for God or anything for God which is false now that we've been born again we serve God we don't serve God in order to be born again because the flesh cannot be subject to the law of God we serve him because we love him and he is our father and because we have the power now we're free from sin we have the spirit which enables us to not do the lust of the flesh and I plead with you to leave these false doctrines leave these false teachings behind pick up the bible read it as is and that's what we've done in light of the scriptures Colin Michael is a deceiver and all of his doctrines are false and what he's saying here goes against what the bible teaches so that's the end of that video uh moving on to the next video it's called jesus taught a work salvation gospel so what do you do all right add okay so it's called jesus taught a work salvation gospel which of course is stupid and false word gospel means good news and it says in sick in a first Corinthians chapter 15 that the death burial and resurrection of Christ is the gospel now if the gospel has something to do with ourselves those scriptures wouldn't make any sense it has to do with what Christ did not what we do now Colin says in the beginning of this video I want to present you a biblical case for work salvation well let's see what the bible says does the bible say that we are saved by works Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 to 9 says for by grace are you saved through faith and then not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works lest any man should boast so let's break down this verse because it's very easy to understand if we ask the question how are we saved the answer is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved which is the answer that Paul and Silas gave to the jailer at Acts chapter 16 likewise here it says that for by grace are you saved through faith now grace means unmerited favor kindness which is not deserved or earned as it says in Romans 3 24 we are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus grace is free that's why Jesus said whosoever will let him take the water of life freely we don't have to earn it if we're willing to take the water of life we take it that's further expressed by the fact that in verse 8 of Ephesians 2 it says it is the gift of God now what is the gift of God our salvation as according to Romans 6 23 the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord so just stop and think about what a gift is if it's a gift that means that you do not earn it but it's given to you by a person who paid for the gift himself that is why it's written that we are saved by grace because something that is by grace is not earned just like something that is a gift is not earned now if you doubt that read Romans chapter 5 in verse 15 to verse 18 it says but not as the offense so also is the free gift for through the offense of one many be dead much more the grace of God and the gift by grace which is by one man Jesus Christ hath abounded unto many and not as it was by one that sinned so is the gift for the judgment was by one to condemnation but the free gift the free gift is of many offenses unto justification for if by one man's offense death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life so notice what the passage keeps saying over and over again it says the free gift the gift of righteousness in verse 15 it says the gift by grace remember Ephesians 2 says that salvation is a gift of God and we are saved by grace so the gift salvation comes by grace and for this reason it's called a free gift again we don't pay for it we don't earn it so who does Jesus Christ because it says in verse 18 by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life so according to the bible it is by Jesus Christ's own righteousness that the gift which is eternal life comes not by our own obedience not by our own works of righteousness which we have done but by Christ that's what a gift is if I already give you a gift I would pick up my bible but I have my I don't want to like set dislike some stuff on top of it so let's say I'm just going to give you this water bottle as a gift just as an example okay if I were to give you this gift that means that I pay for it and then it means that you don't pay for it if you pay for it it's not a gift it's a purchase all you have to do is accept or receive the gift and according to Ephesians 2 you accept or receive that gift by faith so with all of that in mind we come to the next verse Ephesians 2 9 which says it's not of works that's what free means if the gift is by grace and the gift is free according to Romans 5 then why would we have to do works in order to receive the gift as we'll see when we get to Romans 11 a little bit later grace and works are opposites and since salvation is by grace it cannot be of works but right now just looking at Ephesians 2 8 to 9 it's simple salvation is by grace through faith and not of works we do not need works in order to be saved Titus chapter 3 verse 4 to 7 says but after that the kindness and love of God our savior toward man appeared not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing regeneration and renewing of the holy ghost which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our savior that being justified by his grace we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life it's not by our own works of righteousness remember what Romans 5 says that it's by the obedience or the righteousness of one which is Jesus Christ by mercy he saved us mercy is sparing from wrath and judgment even though we don't deserve it the fact is that he withholds his wrath from us the fact that he does that means that he's shown mercy unto us but this is not by our own works it's through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the holy ghost which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our savior meaning that we're washed from our sins through Jesus Christ now that's clear from the bible it says also in verse 7 that being justified by his grace we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life so here we have another clear verse which says that we are justified by grace not by our works of righteousness which we have done but by grace and listen to the next scripture Romans 11 verse 5 to 6 even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace and if by grace there is no more of works otherwise grace is no more grace but if it be of works that is no more grace otherwise work is no more work so are we elected according to grace absolutely we've already discussed Romans 3 24 Ephesians 2 8 Titus 3 7 it says that we are saved by grace and there are plenty of other scriptures which is the same thing Romans 4 16 Romans 5 2 Titus 2 11 other places so since it's by grace there is no more of works according to this scripture so it makes no sense to say that salvation can be both by works and by grace Juan Michael says that the bible teaches a work salvation and to say that we're not saved by grace would just be denying several verses which flat out tells us by grace are you saved or being justified by his grace however since there's no doubt that the scriptures teach us that we are saved by grace and that means that it's no more of works otherwise grace is no more grace as the bible says in Romans 11 and of course that makes sense because again the definition of grace in of itself excludes works if we were saved by grace that means we don't earn it we don't deserve it and if we were saved by works that means we did earn it we did deserve it that would be a contradiction you can't deserve it and not deserve it at the same time so the fact that Colin Michael directly admits that we are that he believes that we are saved by works according to Romans 11 6 shows that he does not believe that is by grace which means that he denies a multitude of scriptures here's another passage which clearly teaches us that we are not saved by our own works Romans chapter 4 verse 1 to 8 it says what shall we say then that Abraham our father is pertaining to the flesh hath found for if Abraham were justified by works he hath whereof to glory but not before God for what saved the scripture Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness now to him that worketh is a reward not reckoned of grace but of debt but to him that worketh not but believeth on that justifies the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness even as David also described the blessedness of the man unto whom God and righteousness without works saying blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and his sins are covered plus it is the man to whom the lord will not impute sin because I've already discussed these scriptures in detail in the last video I'm only going to go over it briefly again in verse three it clearly tells us that Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness that's not his works that's not his own obedience that's his faith in God which was counted for righteousness and thus it says in verse five to him that worketh not but believeth on that justifies the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness but we take a person who is saved how were they justified according to the bible they believeth on that justifies the ungodly and faithless kind of righteousness but it also says to him that worketh not now to say that those who do not have works are not saved would again make this verse meaningless the fact that it's written scripture shows that people are justified by faith even if they do not work likewise it speaks in verse six of the blessedness of the man unto whom God imputed righteousness without works these people are justified they are just in the eyes of God because righteousness has been imputed unto them and is imputed unto them without works it's very clear then it defines what that blessedness is that their iniquities are forgiven and the lord will not impute sin unto them this shows that that shows us that there exists people out there such as myself who have had their sins forgiven and who do not have sin imputed unto them but do have righteousness imputed unto them in other words their sins have been remitted they have been justified or saved from their sin and it says two different times in the same passage both in verse five and in verse six it tells us that one who does not have the works but does have the faith they are saved so are we saved by faith yes are we saved by works no so here's another verse which shows us that we're not saved by our own righteousness romans chapter 9 verse 30 to 33 says what shall we say then that the gentiles which followed not after righteousness have attained to righteousness even the righteous which is of faith but israel which followed after the law of righteousness hath not attained to the law of righteousness wherefore because they sought it not by faith but as it were by the works of the law for they stumbled at that stumbling stone as it is written behold i lay in zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed according to these verses the gentiles even though they did not follow after righteousness meaning they did not do the works they've attained to righteousness why because of the righteousness by faith now by contrast the physical nation of israel had not attained to righteousness because according to verse 32 they did not seek it by faith but by the works of the law and as i proved in the last video when the bible says works of the law it means that all things that are commanded in the book of the law not just the ritual law as colin michael will fallaciously claim so we see in romans 9 that there is a contrast those who have not been righteous they have attained to righteousness because they sought it by faith those who tried to observe the law of righteousness they did not attain to it because they did not seek it by faith but by the works of the law so those who try to be justified are made righteous those who think that they have righteousness because of their adherence to the law of god and the commandments of god rather than by trusting in christ alone they do not attain to righteousness which means this guy colin michael who is trusting in his own righteousness and his own works in his own obedience he's not righteous in the eyes of god because he's broken the commandments whatever he may say he might say i've never sinned i don't sin the bible says if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us i'm going to believe the bible and not you it's not difficult to figure out why the bible tells us that that we can't be saved by our own righteousness that it's not by the works of righteousness which we have done because the bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of god in romans 3 23 and whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend at one point he is guilty of all so considering that all have broken the law that means all are guilty so those who try to be perfect by the obedience to god's commandment they fail because they seek righteousness by the works of the law and not by faith now the scripture says in galatians 5 4 christ has become of no effect unto you whosoever you are justified by the law you're fallen from grace those people are justified by the law people who think that they're righteous because of their adherence to the commandments of god they do not have the grace of god they're fallen from grace according to the scriptures in other words they're not saved anybody out there who tells you that they are just because they obey god's commandments are not saved because their faith is in themselves and not in god the bible says in romans chapter 10 verse 3 of the jews for they being ignorant of god's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of god now back in romans 3 21 it says that the righteousness of god is by faith of jesus christ unto all and upon all them that believe so the jews since they establish their own righteousness meaning that they think that they're righteous because of the works of the law because they think that that doing the things of law will justify them as we saw at the end of romans 9 but the righteousness which is of god is not the good things we do it's the good things which christ has done in his death burial and resurrection that's the gospel and therefore we are saved by grace through faith in jesus christ that is the righteousness of god so there are plenty of other scriptures that we can use to show you clearly that they were not saved by works but uh or that we're not saved by the law or by our own righteousness or anything like that but that we're saved by faith there are plenty of verses in the bible that teach that but what does colin michael say let's listen video i want to present to you a biblical case for work salvation so i want to cover in this video is first what do i believe what do i mean by work salvation and then i want to get into both verses in the old testament and the new testament that i believe support this work salvation belief so let's talk about what i believe to start i believe salvation is through faith and repentance you may be thinking okay where do we differ i believe that you know we need to believe on jesus we need to repent of our sins the part where i differ from a lot of other churches is i believe repentance is a requirement for salvation see most churches teach that salvation is by faith alone we're saved by faith alone and that repentance is something that follows after salvation so first you're saved by faith and then repentance is something that takes place after salvation i believe churches which teach free grace which is basically the theological term for the real gospel for what i'm talking about in this video that we're saved by grace through faith they do not say that repentance is not required for salvation uh i don't understand well i do understand where he's getting this from because he's just immediately assuming that repentance means turning from sin to repenting of your sins uh because some people will do that they'll say well the bible teaches you to repent when we're talking about repent uh because i don't believe that repentance from sin is necessary for salvation but that repentance is now what's the difference the word repentance does not always mean turning from sin repentance is necessary for salvation it's not turning from your sin and cleaning up your life repentance is a change of mind a turning from false beliefs to have faith in christ when you turn in christ turn to christ and stop trusting in yourself stop trusting in your own works or a baptism or in a false god or idol or whatever and you put your trust in christ that is repentance and we know this for several reasons first of all the phrase repent of your sins or anything like that is never used in the bible it never says repent of your sins repent of sins repent from your sins anything like that it's never in the bible if you ask somebody who believes this doctrine where the bible says that you need to repent of your sins they always point you to verses that just say repent but then they add on that extra little phrase of your sins or from your sins on the end they're just mentally adding that on but that's not what the verse says and then they'll say well the word repent that just means turning from sin well the bible says that god repented more than anybody else there's like i think like something like 35 times that it says that god repented in the bible the first time the word repent is used in the bible is in genesis 6 6 where it says it repented the lord that he had made man upon the earth or it says in exodus 32 14 that the lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto them unto the people referring to the wrath against those who made the golden calf so is god sinful no when it says god repented it doesn't mean that god turned from sin god turned but he was not turning from sin it was a turning or a changing of the mind which took place the word repent is also used in other ways throughout the bible such as uh in exodus 13 17 it talks about the people repenting when they see war and returning to egypt now that usage it speaks of people turning from god and and their physical march to canin and going back to egypt so it's not turning from sins it's basically turning to sins so just because the word the bible says repent that doesn't mean automatically mean turning from your sins now the only time a similar phrase is used in the bible which is a like to repent of your sins is repent of this thy wickedness in acts chapter 8 verse 22 but the problem is that that is being said by philip to simon who according to the preceding verses was already a saved and baptized believer who was in the church he had committed wickedness and he was expected to turn from that but it doesn't say that he'll lose his salvation or that he won't be saved if he doesn't uh turn from his wickedness so what colin refers to here as people who say that you need to repent of your sins after being saved or uh that's what colin refers to uh when he says that the bible says you have to repent of your sins or be saved that the bible does not teach that for salvation but the bible does teach that you have to do that after you're safe in order to be saved no there's no turning from sin for justification because the bible says in jonah 3 10 god saw their works that they turned from their evil ways so according to the bible turning from your evil ways is a work yeah the bible says clearly in the verses that we already looked at such as ephesians 2 9 that we are not saved by our works we are saved by grace through faith it's not by works of righteous which we have done but by his mercy so repenting from sin is not necessary for salvation but a turning or changing of mind and trusting in christ is necessary for salvation and we'll get into more verses about that subject a little bit later uh i want to play a clip from him first repentance is needed for salvation it's not optional it's not something that slowly comes on it is a complete full turning from sin to obedience to christ that is what repentance is that's what i believe we see in what you believe wrong there's a biblical definition of repentance for salvation is defined in the following verses we've already seen that repent does not always mean repent from sins because god repented because uh the people repented and go back to egypt meaning they physically turn around just because the bible says repent that doesn't automatically mean repent from sins they're adding that phrase on but here's what the bible does say matthew chapter 21 verse 32 for john came unto you in the way of righteousness and you believed him not but the publicans and the harlots believed him and ye when ye had seen it repented not afterward that you might believe him mark 1 15 it says in saying the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of god is at hand repent ye and believe the gospel acts chapter 19 verse 4 then said paul john verily baptized with the baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on christ jesus acts chapter 20 verse 21 says testifying both to the jews and also to the greeks repentance toward god and faith toward the lord jesus christ hebrews chapter 6 verse 1 says therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ let us go on unto perfection not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and a faith toward god so here we have several clear verses defining what the repentance is that we need to do in order to be saved matthew 21 says that those who repented not are those who did not believe on him repented not afterward that you might believe on him that's what repentance is that you might believe on him that's shown by jesus in mark 1 15 repent ye and believe the gospel they're synonymous acts 19 4 it defines the baptism of repentance and says that what john preached is that they should believe on christ jesus acts 20 21 repentance toward god and faith toward the lord jesus christ here repentance and faith are used interchangeably when you turn toward god that being repentance it's faith in the lord jesus christ that is what you're turning to but hebrews 6 1 tells us what we're turning from it says that this is the foundation of the principles of the doctrine of christ now if you don't understand this you're not even right on the foundation of our doctrine it says repentance from dead works and faith toward god so here it tells us what we turn from and what we turn to is it repentance from sin no it's repentance from dead works because works can't save you and therefore if you're trusting in your works you're not saved you have not actually biblically repented that's why you need to turn from trusting in your works and have faith toward god that is what we turn from our dead works but faith is the result of repentance they're not two separate requirements for salvation there's only one and that is faith included in that is turning from trust in other things so they all your trust and faith is on jesus christ scriptures has a requirement for salvation a complete 180 a turn from sin you're no longer in sin you are obeying christ so faith and repentance now this works salvation that doesn't mean we don't need jesus you know faith repentance obviously you still need jesus there's that is not what i'm trying to teach here what i mean i'm saying is when you come to christ through faith and repentance his blood washes away your sins well that's funny because the bible says in galatians 2 21 that if righteousness come by the law then christ is dead in vain and you might say well i don't believe it's by the law because that's what they'll try to do they'll kind of try to uh change definitions of what the bible says but the thing is yes they do believe that they're justified by the law because sin is a transgression of the law by saying that you need to turn from your sin and stop sinning and start obeying god you're saying you need to stop transgressing the law which means you are obeying the law of god you're not transgressing it and therefore if you think you're righteous by turning from your sins then you are justified or made righteous because of the law galatians 5 4 says christ has become of no effect unto you whosoever you are justified by the law because he thinks that we're just by obeying the law christ is no effect unto him so even though he claims i'm not saying we don't need jesus he is because jesus came to save us from our sins he didn't die arbitrarily for no reason he saved us because we cannot save ourselves because we cannot obey god the flesh cannot obey god it is not subject to the law of god neither indeed can be the bible says so i get out of the way there's a lot of times we're in the comment section i get a lot of people confused you say well why do you need jesus then if you can just save yourself i'm not saying that what i am saying is jesus has requirements for salvation and you have to meet those requirements faith and repentance in order to be saved so let's get into the verses let's see if there are biblical verses supporting the idea of work salvation and the first passage i want to look at is jonah chapter 3 verses 1 through 10 which say and the word of the lord came into jonah the second time saying arise go into Nineveh that great city and preach unto it the preaching that i bid me so jonah arose and went to Nineveh according to the word of the lord now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days journey and jonah began to enter into the city of days journey and he cried and said yet 40 days and Nineveh shall be overthrown so the people of Nineveh believed god and proclaimed the fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest of them even to the least of them for word came into the king of Nineveh and he arose from his throne and he laid his robe from him and covered him with sackcloth and sat in ashes and he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles saying let neither man nor beast her nor flock taste anything let them not feed nor drink water but let man and beast be covered with sackcloth and cry mightily unto god yay let them turn everyone from his evil way and from the violence that is in their hands who can tell hey and god repented of the evil that he had said that he would do unto them and he did it not isn't it funny that there's two verses in that chapter that says god repented and yet he's still trying to tell us that repentance means turning from sin are you saying that god is a sinner the bible says that the lord is holy it says that jesus knew no sin he was without sin so he's just going to ignore the fact that that it says god repent he's just going to kind of push that off and just focus on uh verse 10 which i've already pointed out shows that uh turning from your sin is a work he doesn't deny that he acknowledges that but the fact is that the bible says and i've already read plenty of verses that say that we're not saved by our works but by faith by grace through faith that last verse right there verse 10 and god saw their works that they turned from their evil way so when you read this passage if you ask the question what saved the people of inova was it simply belief was it simply faith alone no we've seen the passage that their works that they turn from their evil way when god saw those works he gave them mercy it was their works that brought about mercy it was their turning from sin their repentance that saved them nowhere in the passage of jonah three doesn't say anything about the salvation of their souls the whole book of jonah is about the wrath of god now that god will pour out upon the city of ninova for their wickedness we're not talking about spiritual salvation we're talking here about the deliverance of a city or a people of a nation it doesn't say anything about the individuals being saved from their sin through their repentance and it's ridiculous as i said that he knows of this verse jonah 3 10 and he flat out admits that turning from your sins is a work the new testament tells us in many passages that we're not saved by our works ephesians 2 8 9 by grace he saved through faith and not of yourselves as a gift of god not of works the sending man should boast titus 3 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us so we're not saved by works by faith god justifieth him that worketh not but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly so jonah 3 doesn't have anything to do with uh spiritual salvation it's god sparing the city because he was going to pour out his wrath on the city let's look at another passage if you kill 18 verses 23 20 through 24 it says the soul that sin if it shall die the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father even shall the father bear the iniquity of the son but righteousness of a righteous shall be upon him and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him but if a wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed and keep all my statutes and do that which is lawful and right he shall surely live he shall not die all his transgressions that he hath committed they shall not be mentioned unto him in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live have i any pleasure at all that the wicked should die save the lord god and not that he should return from his ways and live but when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness and committed iniquity and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth shall he live all his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned in his trespass that he hath trespassed and in his sins that he hath sinned in them shall he die so what we see in this passage is that if you sin you will die we see but if the wicked will turn from all those sins and do what is right he will live he will not die we see again the same message turning from sin turning from your wickedness follow what is commanded of you they'll be saved you will live and then we see in verse 24 which i feel is an important part of this if you then go back to your sin if you were in righteousness and you return back to that sin all those righteous things you do they're no longer remembered you're going to die in that sin you can't go to christ and return to sin and still live no if you go back to your sin after coming to christ you will die you have to turn from that sin follow christ you have to remain faithful to him that's some free ticket that's just handed to you and you can do whatever you want you have to stay obedient to christ stay turned from your sins living a life that's pleasing to christ i've already uh pointed out the verse where it says that just overlive with him believe with him he shall never die he said in this uh little passage or this little bit better just played for you that uh if you go back to your sin you will die well that goes against what jesus promised that you shall never die now i've already talked about ezekiel 18 24 but if we look at the preceding verses that colin michael reads here he misses the point of the verses the point that i've been making throughout this entire video is it says that if the wicked turns from all his sins you have to be perfect in order to be justified by obedience the new testament says galatians 3 10 verse 12 it says for as many as of the works of the law are under the curse for it is written cursed is everyone that continue with not in all things which are written the book of the law to do them but then no man is justified by the law in the sight of god it is evident for the just shall live by faith and the law is not a faith but the man that doeth them shall live in them galatians chapter 3 verse 21 to 22 is the law then against the promises of god god forbid for if there had been a law which could have given life verily righteousness should have been by the law but the scripture hath concluded all under sin that the promise by faith of jesus christ might be given to them that believe so those who are the works of the law such as colin michael they're under a curse because they've not continued in all things that are written the book of the law because the bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of god it says if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us it says in romans 5 12 that death has upon all men for that all have sinned so in order to be righteous by turning from your sins you need to turn from all of them but the bible clearly shows us that even christians have sin if you say otherwise you're not saved you're lying to yourself you're deceiving yourself verses 21 and 22 tell us that if if the law could have given life fairly righteousness should have been by the law which we know it's not according to galatians 2 21 and verse 11 of the same chapter but the scripture hath concluded all under sin that the promise should be through those that believe in jesus or to those who believe in jesus so because all are under sin we cannot be justified by the law because all are under sin we cannot have life through the law it's by faith ezekiel 18 is not saying that those of the new testament are not saved by grace through faith it's saying that those who only completely follow all the commandments of the law will be righteous but we know that that's impossible and by the way romans 11 6 which we talked about earlier shows us that if it's by works that is no more of grace so he's saying that it's faith plus works but that's impossible according to the bible him saying that we need jesus christ is contradictory because if you teach the salvations by the works as he admits that he believes then salvation is not by grace which means you'd have to deny dozens of clear scriptures which say that it is by grace so he's contradicting what the bible says now let's take a look at some of the verses in the new testament that support this idea of work salvation true repentance it's hurting from sin in luke 10 verses 25 through 28 it says and behold a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him saying master what shall i do to inherit eternal life he said unto him what is written in the law how readest thou if he answering said thou shalt love the lord thy god with all thy heart with all thy soul with all thy strength and with all thy mind and thy neighbor as thyself and he said unto him thou hast answered right this ado and thou shalt live so here we see jesus tell this certain lawyer that if he would love god and love his neighbor he would live by doing those commandments if he would obey two greatest commandments that you know of all time when jesus asked that question he said love god love your neighbor this may ask what must i do to inherit eternal life jesus tells him he's like what's written in the law not faith alone jesus didn't answer that way didn't say believe he said what's written in the law the man says love god loves your neighbor jesus says that's it you're right do that you're gonna live you're gonna have eternal life jesus taught works salvation he taught turning from sin and obedience to his commands no that's not what the passage is about and i discussed that in part one that if you continue to read it makes it clear in verse 29 that this lawyer was trying to justify himself if you read a similar passage in matthew 19 where the rich young ruler comes to jesus he asked what good thing shall i do that i may inherit internal life and jesus gives him the same reply jesus is answering the question of how to justify yourself because he's assuming that you have to do some good thing he's not seeking to come to christ he's not seeking to be saved by christ he doesn't believe on christ at all he's trying to justify himself that's the same thing that ezekiel 8 is talking about that you need to turn from all your sins if you're going to turn from all your sins if you're going to justify yourself but if we compare spiritual with spiritual instead of ignoring the vast quantities of scripture which tells us that we're not saved by works or by the law then we'll see that it's by faith without works faith without the deeds of the law now i suggesting i suggest uh watching the previous uh part to see more of what i say about this passage if this is new and you are watching the second part you haven't watched part one i don't know why you would do that anyway but some people might do that so i don't want to repeat myself i go into the luke 10 verse 25 the first 28 passage in more detail in the last video so just moving on let's take a look at another passage um matthew 25 this is basically versus 31 through 46 now i'm going to skip through some of these verses because it's a really long passage i want to keep this video short i encourage you to open up matthew 25 and just read the whole thing yourself um but i do cut it a little bit short uh so that way you can do this all in one video so matthew 25 i'm reading verses 31 through 36 and 41 through 46 it says when the son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory and before him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another as a shepherd divided his sheep from the goats and he shall set the sheep on his right hand but the goats on the left then shall the king say unto them on his right hand come ye blessed of my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundations of the world for i was in hunger and he gave me meat i was thirsty and he gave me drink i was a stranger and he took me in naked and he clothed me i was sick and he visited me i was in prison and he came unto me then shall he also say unto them on the left hand depart from me he cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels for i was a hungry and he gave me no meat i was thirsty and he gave me no drink i was a stranger and he took me not in naked and he clothed me not sick and in prison and he visited me not eventually also answered saying lord when saw we be in hunger or thirst or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister unto thee then shall he answer them saying verily i say unto you and as much as he did it not to one of the least of these ye did it not to me and these shall go away into everlasting punishment but the righteous into life eternal so when you read that passage what makes people go into everlasting punishment like what separates those people what makes some people with everlasting punishment some people to everlasting life according to this passage it's very clear it was their actions is what they did to the least of these those who love their neighbor who helped the sick they clothed the naked they visit those in prison etc those who loved their neighbor were given life eternal those who failed to love their neighbor failed to do those actions because they failed at doing those actions they ended up in everlasting punishment now i want to well if you read the matthew 25 passage from the beginning it says in verse 31 and identifies this event as when the son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him and sit upon his throne so this is at the end of daniel's 70th week in bible prophecy and it's the beginning of the millennial kingdom christ is now reigning on earth he has come back this is after the battle of armageddon he is upon this earth this is after the wrath of god has been poured out on the earth and the seventh trumpet and the seventh vial has been poured out upon the earth after the beast has been destroyed as recorded in revelation 19 in verse 32 it tells us that before him are gathered all nations and he separates them sheep and goats so these are the people who have survived the wrath of god being poured out on the earth it's not just everybody who has ever lived but those nations that are on the earth just the fact that those who inherit the kingdom of god or inherit the kingdom are called sheep helps us identify who he is talking about in john 10 27 jesus tells us that the sheep are those with eternal life and we know from the scriptures that the bible clearly teaches in many places that whosoever liveth and believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life in john 3 16 he that believeth on the son hath everlasting life in john 336 he that heareth my word believeth on him that sent me hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life in john 5 24 etc those verses alone along with many others could just prove calling michael wrong uh because he claims that you need more than faith you also need works in order to have everlasting life he said that these people have everlasting life because of their actions even though it doesn't say that it doesn't even talk about everlasting life it's talking about inheritance uh but uh whosoever means anybody when it says whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die that means everybody who does regardless of what else they do if they believe believe on the lord jesus christ and thou shalt be saved not that might be saved so if there's somebody who believed on christ and you still went to hell then those verses would be meaningless so the sheep are those who believe who believe and are thus born again have everlasting life but if you study the book of revelation and i'm not going to go into a deep chronology of the book of revelation in this video but uh this is the latter part of the seven years and uh the latter part of the seventh years or this the seven years the three and a half years after the rapture has taken place is when the wrath of god is poured out upon the earth so jesus said in the same sermon earlier because this is all one sermon in matthew 24 and 25 sometimes called the olivet discourse in matthew 24 verse 29 to 31 he says that immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun and the moon be darkened and that after that is when jesus returns and gathers his elect we see the fulfillment of that revelation six and seven when the sun and moon is darkened as a sixth seal and then soon after a multitude appears in heaven in revelation seven when the angel uh says that they came or which the angel says that they came out of great tribulation so there's this multitude which no man could number in heaven after the rapture uh the angel says that they came out of great tribulation so those are the people who have been resurrected in rapture those are every saved believer who is in heaven at this point but there's another group of people a special group among them that are called the 144 000 12 000 of every tribe of israel it says in revelation 14 verse 45 of these uh 144 000 it says these are they which were not defiled with women for they are virgins these are they which follow the lamb whithersoever he goeth these are redeemed for among men being the first fruits unto god unto the lamb and in their mouth was found no guile for they are without fault before the throne of god now it says earlier in revelation seven in verse two to four and i saw another angel ascending from the east having the seal of the living god and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea saying hurt not the earth neither the sea nor the trees till we have sealed the servants of our god and their foreheads and i heard the number of them which were sealed and there were sealed and 144 000 of all the tribes of the children of israel but these people the 144 000 are given the seal of god upon their foreheads but they're not harmed by the wrath of god which is at that point poured out upon the earth the vast majority of believers are going to be raptured to heaven and they're going to stay there but these 144 000 believers who are disciples of the lamb they remain upon the earth with the two witnesses while the wrath of god is poured out upon the earth and it does not hurt them it only hurts them which have not the seal of god on their foreheads so we fast forward a few years when the millennial kingdom begins jesus is separating his sheep from the goats the goats are not the sheep which means they never had everlasting life because obviously if one has everlasting life that means they can't lose it we've already discussed that so i believe that the sheep are the 144 000 that remain on earth through the outpouring of god's wrath while the goats are the others the unbelievers upon earth who survive the wrath of god we already know from the fact that the bible describes these 144 000 as people who follow the lamb wherever they go that they did that they indeed did do the work so they inherit the kingdom meaning not just that they entered but that they're given rewards that they are given the kingdom itself because back in matthew chapter 16 verse 27 jesus says for the son of man shall come in the glory of his father with his angels and then he shall reward every man according to his works now compare that with matthew 25 31 it's talking about the same event that the son of man comes in the glory of his father with his angels and then he gives rewards according to their works so these 144 000 they're given the reward of inheriting the kingdom because they were faithful in obedience has nothing to do with their salvation or as he says their everlasting life that's not even mentioned in this passage so by contrast the goats what do they do they boast about the things which they have done they say haven't we done all this for you jesus cast them out and he sends them into hell it's just like matthew 7 21 23 talks about that there's people who will call him lord and they'll brag about all the works that they've done in his mitten in his name but he says i never knew you depart from me you that work iniquity and these works salvationists will see will say see it says that they they work iniquity that means if you work iniquity if you do wickedness then you're not entering the kingdom here's the thing and the bible says that we are justified and saved that god will not impute sin unto us and by contrast it says he that believeth on the sun or he that believeth not the sun shall not see light but the wrath of god abideth on him but jesus came to save us from our sins he can't save sinners if somebody does not get justified their sins have not been washed away and righteousness has not been imputed unto them there are still sinners in the eyes of god so if i look at matthew 25 in the proper context that this is talking about the time of the end and you compare with both what jesus said up to this point matthew 24 and also with the book of revelation it's clear what he's teaching the sheep here are the 144 000 who were given rewards for their faithfulness while the goats are those who have never believed they're the other people the unbelievers upon the earth and therefore their lack of obedience or their sin is still imputed unto them because they've not been justified cover one more passage here before we wrap this up first round three verses seven through nine oh children let no man deceive you he that do if righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous he that committeth sin is of the devil for the devil sin it from the beginning for this purpose the son of god was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil whosoever is born of god doth not commit sin for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin because he's born of god i believe this passage really sums it all up if you do what is right you are righteous if you commit sin you are of the devil those are the two sides and there are there's a lot more passages i could get into in this video but i i really want to keep this short and straight to the point both whole testament both new testament we see these verses that tell us that our actions play a role in our salvation i've already talked about these uh verses that he quotes here first john three uh verse seven to verse nine first john three nine says whosoever is born of god not commit sin remember the one that is born of god is the one who is saved they're born again their flesh can still fall into sin but their spirit will not colin michael does not distinguish between these two things between the flesh and the spirit he instead teaches that even if a christian falls innocent on this earth that means that they aren't saved or that they will lose their salvation which is wrong and i talked about that more detail in the last video repentance is needed for salvation you can't just have faith and then you're slowly trying to get yourself out of sin no you don't get mercy until you're out of sin until you're doing what is right well titus three five says not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us now if you don't get mercy until we do works of righteousness as he claims that wouldn't make any sense we can't even do what's right until we're born again first of all that's what first john three nine is saying and then it says in first peter one three blessed be the god and father of lord jesus christ which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of jesus christ from the dead but we aren't even gotten again or born again until god shows mercy unto us it's not the other way around it's not we're born again we uh don't commit sin and then we are given mercy no we're given mercy and then we're born again if it's we're saved by grace which is mercy and thus god gives us eternal life we're born again we're given the spirit of god which allows us to resist the lust of the flesh as it says in galatians five but that's after salvation after mercy is bestowed i mean read romans 11 it says uh that the reason why the physical nation of israel does not have mercy is because of their unbelief not because they haven't turned from their sin but because of their unbelief that's the reason that god has not showed mercy unto them and you are capable of doing it i actually made a video uh talking about if you can't stop sinning uh leave that one link down below um that goes through a lot of verses showing you that the bible says you can live a sinless life you can obey him you can repent the people of jonah's time were able to turn from their sin and god saw those words that they turned from their evil way and they lived you have to turn from your sins in order to be saved that is what the bible clearly teaches no it doesn't the bible says believe on the lord jesus christ and thou shalt be saved it says if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord jesus and believe in thine heart that god hath risen the dead thou shalt be saved in romans 10 9 both verses say thou shalt be saved it's a guarantee it doesn't say believe on the lord jesus christ and repent of your sins that thou shalt be saved it just says believe on the lord jesus christ for by grace are you saved through faith and then not of yourselves is the gift of god not of worksless any man should post it's very obvious if you don't just quote like five passages in the bible which he did here without considering the larger context of scripture that's the end of that video i just want to go into one final video which is the shortest of them all it's only eight minutes long it's probably going to be an ad first so let me just get to that real quick okay so all right so um the final video by him that i want to address uh in this video that i'm making is uh his video giving 10 verses supposedly attacking the doctrine of once saved always saved it's called top 10 verses on losing your salvation and then after that it says once saved always saved slash eternal security refuted so he believes that you can lose your salvation if you continue to sin he gives these 10 verses which allegedly show that the video is only about eight minutes long it's super shallow just like the rest that you've seen and if you actually look into these verses none of them say that you can lose your salvation and i'll prove that right now i've already looked at a multitude of scriptures which show that you cannot lose your salvation at the beginning of this video i've already looked at the scriptures that say we have eternal life like john 11 26 hebrews uh 13 5 says that you'll never leave us nor forsake us so i'm not going to repeat all those verses again uh just if you want a reminder or refresher just go back to the beginning of the video uh but not only that of a few of the verses i think like two or three that he quotes here out of the 10 i've already addressed so i'm not going to go into too much detail about those since i've already talked about them but let's just see what these 10 verses uh are that supposedly teach that you can lose your salvation video we're going to be looking at the top 10 verses that show you can lose your salvation be here to stick around till the end because number one on the list is what i believe personally is the most convincing passage that shows you can lose your salvation number 10 is james five verses 19 through 20 which says brethren if any of you do err from the truth and one convert him let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the air of his way shall save a soul from death and shall hide a multitude of sins so here we see james addressing the brethren those who are saved and says if one of those brethren err from the truth and you convert him you bring him back to sound reasoning to sound doctrine it says that whoever converted that sinner from the air of his way shall save a soul from death and hide a multitude of sins not talking about physical death here we're talking about spiritual death that if this person erred from the truth and wasn't converted back they would have ended up in hell number so james 5 19 um to verse 20 is the scripture that he quotes here but here's the thing first of all brethren is a term used for christians but assumes that those being written to are christians however there are such there is such a thing in the bible there is such a thing as people who are considered brethren but are not truly saved in the first place for example in the book of galatians paul starts off by writing in verse six and seven i marvel that you're so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of christ into another gospel which is not another but there be some that trouble you and would prefer the gospel of christ for this reason paul rebukes those in galatia as he says in galatians 4 i am afraid of you lest i bestowed upon you labor in vain meaning he's afraid that all the preaching that he's done the churches of galatia were in vain meaning it didn't do anything it was worthless and thus paul refers to those who are bringing the heretical teachings and to that the galatians held on to he calls them false brethren unawares brought in they're still considered brethren but they're false brethren so let's illustrate this concept in the book of hebrews in hebrews chapter 3 verse 12 to 19 it's written take heed brethren lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living god but exhort one another daily while it is called today lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin for we are made partakers of christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast into the end while it is said today if you will hear his voice harden not your hearts as in the provocation for some when they had heard did provoke howbeit not all that came out of egypt by no moses but with whom was he grieved 40 years was it not them with them that sin whose carcasses fell in the wilderness and to whom swear he that they should not enter into his rest but to them that believed not so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief notice that paul uh he addresses them as brethren in this chapter now this is a collective that he is referring to he says brethren that's plural he's speaking to the church as a whole telling them to exhort one another daily why lest they have an evil heart of unbelief now he refers back to the exodus to make his point that those who had not entered into his rest are those who did not believe therefore he urges them to exhort one another so that they don't have an evil heart of unbelief in verse 15 he says today if you will hear his voice harden not your hearts so he's referring to people among them who are not saved who have heard the word of god but have not believed who have hardened their hearts because they've heard the word it doesn't mean that they're saved the bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of god once somebody hears the word of god they need to place their faith in christ or they will go to hell not everybody in the church just because they're among the believers is safe so in hebrew chapter three paul is writing to the congregation as a whole and telling them to make sure that the gospel is preached to in one another so that in case there's one among them who does not believe that they might believe and not have an evil heart of unbelief judas oscaria for example he was still chosen to be a disciple he was among the disciples jesus said to his disciples all ye are brethren in matthew 23 8 but it's also clear that jesus did not believe he said there are some of you that not that do not believe in john 6 64 and it specifies that he's referring to judas so what is said in james 5 is the same as what is said in hebrews 3 that we should convert one who errs from the truth lest their soul dies in sin now the fact that they erred from the truth shows that they were not christians in the first place because it's written in first john 2 19 they went out from us but they were not of us for if they had been of us they would no doubt have continued with us but they went out that it might be made manifest that they were not all of us if somebody leaves the faith that doesn't mean they lost their salvation it means they were never saved in the first place they were never of the brethren if they were john said they would no doubt have continued with us if they were actual christians then they would have continued with them in the faith and in their belief they would not have erred from the truth so there's no doubt if uh somebody is saved that they would still be a christian if somebody turns from the truth and abides not in the doctrine of christ that shows that they were not of us not that they were and they lost their salvation so james 5 does not teach that we can lose their salvation number nine colossians 1 verses 21 through 23 which says and you were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works yet now have he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight if he continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel which he have heard and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven where of i paul and made a minister we see from this passage that jesus christ is going to present as holy unbelievable and unreproveable in his sight if we continue in the faith and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel so we must continue if you continue in the faith all the way till the end then you will be seen as forgiven and blameless in his sight but you must continue you must endure if you don't endure then you aren't going to be pure in his sight so we see that there are conditions for jesus christ to wash away our sins we must continue in the faith and not be moved away back to our old sinful wicked lives number eight that's not what it says you're doing the same thing again where he's adding on and reading something in the text that's not written it doesn't say that if you go into sin you'll lose your salvation your sins won't won't be washed away that's not what the verse says at all it doesn't say your sins aren't washed away until you endure to the end or that you need to live a holy life in order to get saved the bible says in first corithian 6 after listing a multitude of sins and transgressions and unrighteousness it says and such were some of you but you are washed you are sanctified you're justified in the name of the lord jesus it doesn't say you will be justified or washed uh when you endure to the end of your life no you are justified you are washed that's why the bible says he that believeth on me hath everlasting life its present tense if it's everlasting it doesn't end if you believe that means that you have life that will never end or in other words you will never perish or never die as jesus said in john 10 28 and 11 50 11 25 to 26 so if we look at colossians one it's again saying the same thing that james five is saying that those who are saved will continue in the faith and not be moved away from the hope of the gospel remember john first john 2 19 they went out from us but they were not of us for if they had been of us they would have no doubt continued with us but they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us but somebody does not continue according to that verse it says that they were not of us because if they were of us they would have no doubt continued with us that's eternal security right there if one breaks the condition that is given in colossians one it does not mean that they lost their salvation it means that they were never saved in the first place jesus said in john 3 18 he that believeth on me or he that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of god there are two types of people according to jesus he that believeth and he that believeth not he makes it clear that those who believe not and are thus condemned it says he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of god that means that if somebody does not believe in the name of the only begotten son of god right now it means they have not believed they've never believed so that means that if somebody believes they are not condemned if somebody does not believe they are condemned already because they have never believed because he hath not believed that's why jesus said in john 5 24 he that heareth my word and believeth on it that hath sent me hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation colin michael seems to disagree and claims that even if somebody has faith if they sin they will go into condemnation which is a contradiction of what jesus clearly promised that those who believe shall not come into condemnation only he that hath not believed is condemned according to jesus in john 3 18 so collodion one does not prove that we can lose our salvation either moving on matthew 10 verse 22 which says and ye shall be hated of all men for my namesake but he that endureth to the end shall be saved so looking at this passage who will be saved whoever endures till the end you must endure you must continue just like that last passage said you must continue you must endure no that's not what it says if you get the context jesus is not talking about the salvation of the soul but the salvation of the flesh not every time the word saved is used is talking about being saved from sin for example in first peter three it says that the eight who were on nova's ark were saved by water meaning that they had not suffered death from the flood because they were on the ark not everybody on the ark was spiritually saved especially if you take colin michael's theology which teaches they have to do works in order to be saved because noah's son ham he was a sodomite reprobate he wasn't saved and yet it still says he was saved because he was on the ark because save just means deliver when we're talking about spiritual salvation it's deliverance from sin and the consequence of sin which is hell but if you look at the con in the context of matthew 10 22 this is what it says verse 16 to verse 25 behold behold i send you forth a sheep in the midst of wolves be therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves but beware of men for they will deliver you up to the councils and they will scourge you in their synagogues and you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake for testimony against them and the gentiles but when they deliver you up take no thought how or what you shall speak for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak for it is not you that speak but the spirit of your father which speaketh in you and the brother shall deliver up the brother to death and the father the child and the children shall raise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death and you should be hated of all men for my name's sake but he that endureth to the end shall be saved but when they persecute you in this city flee ye into another for verily i say unto you you shall not have gone over the cities of israel till the son of man be come the disciple is not above his master nor the servant above his lord it is enough for the disciple that he be as his master and the servant as his lord if they have called the master of the house beelzebub how much more shall they call them of his household so what this passage is referring to is persecution for preaching the gospel people persecuting christians delivering them up to be killed and put to death because they are christians now there's a very similar passage later in the book of matthew where jesus says the same thing that he says in matthew 10 22 in matthew 24 13 it says but he that shall endure until the end the same shall be saved and that verse also is used by people to teach that you can lose your salvation they say that you're only saved if you endure in the good works until the end but if you actually read the whole chapter uh you'd understand this is talking about the tribulation in which believers are killed and persecuted for their faith thus jesus says later in the chapter verse 21 to 22 but then for for then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time no nor ever shall be and except those days shall be shortened there should no flesh be saved for the elect's sake those days shall be sordid jordan so when he says saved in verse 13 of matthew 24 just as he says in the parallel passage of matthew 10 uh verse 22 it's talking about the salvation of the flesh because if the tribulation were not shortened by the second coming of christ all christians would be put to death it doesn't mean that all christians would just lose their salvation we're talking about the deliverance of the body the redemption of the body when jesus christ comes in the clouds and we're changing the moment and twinkling of an eye now the bible refers to they which are alive and remain at the coming of the lord and first thessalonians 4 or as it says in first corinthians 15 we shall not all sleep meaning will not all face physical death these are the people who endure to the end of the tribulation meaning they survive the period of great tribulation and thus their bodies their flesh never face death they are saved physically they're delivered from being beheaded by the antichrist when jesus christ comes in the clouds has nothing to do with spiritual salvation next one's kind of weird listen dude one verses five through six i will therefore put you in remembrance though you once knew this how that the lord having saved the people out of the land of egypt afterward destroyed them that believed not and the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day so we see angels who left their first estate who were righteous who went into sin god has reserved in chains for judgment day so if the angels that god has created can walk away from being righteous and be locked in in chains waiting for judgment day to be judged by god and thrown into hell how much more you and me if angels can lose their salvation or lose their place in heaven i think it's pretty good proof that we ourselves can walk away from the path of righteousness and end up back in sin as an enemy of god honestly i have no idea how anybody could possibly think that jude one five to six means that you could lose your salvation there's not literally there's literally not a single word of these verses that talk anything about salvation he's just extrapolating and saying well the angels lost their salvation so that means we can even though first of all it doesn't say the angels lost their salvation and it doesn't say because they did that we will as well now that statement is stupid because angels are not humans i did not come to save angels the bible says we trust in loving god who is the savior of all men especially those that believe in first timothy 4 10 it's
