(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) Hello everybody, it's me, Mr. Tall23, back with another video. This is another video on the basic doctrines of the Bible. Today I want to talk about the subject of the free gift of salvation and eternal life by Jesus alone. We believe that salvation is a free gift by the grace of God and that Jesus is the only way in which we can receive this gift and that without Jesus Christ there is no salvation and no eternal life. It is written in Romans 6 23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Because of our sins we are all condemned to death and hell, but through Jesus Christ comes the gift of God which is eternal life. He is the one who paid for our sins, taking them away forever through His death, His burial and His resurrection. Therefore if we are to be given life, if we are to be revived and rescued and delivered from death, it is only through Jesus Christ. Jesus himself said in John 14 verse 6, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me. There is only one way to salvation. There is only one way to God, not many ways, but one way and that is Jesus Christ. He is the only way that leadeth unto life. As Jesus said in John 10 9, I am the door. By me if any man enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture. The straighter the narrow gate is Jesus Christ. We can only be saved by entering in through Him, not by ourselves, not by some other Savior or some other God, but only through Christ. Therefore it is written in Acts 4 12, neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved. Jesus' name has the sole power to save us from our sins. If we are going to be saved from our sins and to escape from the punishment and damnation of hell, if our sins are to be forgiven and we are to be given everlasting life, it is only through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one who paid for our salvation. And therefore because He paid for our salvation, it is a gift as it says in Romans 6 23. A gift is not something which the receiver earns themselves, but all they have to do is simply receive or accept the gift. The one who paid for the gift is the gift giver and that is Jesus Christ. He purchased our redemption with His precious blood and therefore He is the one who offers the free gift of salvation. As it is recorded in Romans chapter 5 verse 15 to 18. But not as the offense, so also as the free gift. For if through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God and the gift by grace, which is by one man Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift. For the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification. For if by one man's offense death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. The word grace means undeserved or unmerited kindness of God. We don't deserve anything, we don't deserve life, all we deserve is hell and death. But God so loved the world that He sent His Son into the world, to be the propitiation for the sins of the world. The grace by which we are justified, or made right in the sight of God, is only through one man Jesus Christ. The grace by which we are justified is offered to all people, as it is written in Titus 2 11, For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. As explained previously, Jesus died for all men. All are dead of their sins, but Christ died for all, and now offers the gift of life by grace which is given to whoever receives it. As it is written in Revelation chapter 22 verse 17, And the Spirit and the bride say, Come, and let him that heareth say, Come, and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. So how do we receive this gift of everlasting life? How do we take this gift? We do so by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written in Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 to 9, For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works thus any man should boast. Through trusting in the Lord, through faith in him and what he did, he bestows upon us that free gift, which he paid for himself. It is entirely by grace, it is undeserved, it is unearned, it is offered to whosoever will take it, to whosoever will admit that they have sinned, and trust in Jesus Christ to be their Savior. Thank you everybody for watching, and goodbye.
