(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) So theoretically, there are two ways to heaven, right? One way is so hard and it's literally impossible. And you got the other way, which is really easy. It's almost not believable. The other one requires you to be perfect, but hey, the problem is nobody is, right? Nobody is perfect. The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And you got the easier way only requires you one thing. You got to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, the Bible says. So practically speaking, there's only really only one way to heaven. Salvation, my point this morning is salvation is actually very simple, you know? People make it complicated. We like to make it all about ourselves and that's pride, right? People won't get saved the door because of pride, right? They think they're too good for hell. They think they're not that bad that God would send them to hell. And on the other end, they think they're too bad for heaven that they think that they're so bad that God cannot forgive them. But God made salvation super simple. He basically said that everyone is not good enough and everyone's not bad enough. If they can believe, they can be saved, right? The simplicity of the gospel is that it tells you that anyone can come and then that everyone needs to come. It doesn't matter if your sin is as big as murder. It doesn't matter if your sin is small as lying, right? It doesn't matter if you're 70 years old. It doesn't matter if you're 70 years old. It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. Everyone needs salvation. The soul meaning tip this morning is actually to emphasize the love of God, to emphasize the love of God. You might be thinking that's kind of a weird introduction since I'm talking about the simplicity of the gospel. How does the simplicity of the gospel relate to the love of God? Well, it's because of how it became so simple, right? It became so simple and on our end, it's because of that love that he showed to us, right? The love of God made our part in getting saved easy and simple. So this morning, I just wanna talk about the love of God and make a simple point at the end. So first point is this. Love was shown through the sacrifice of the father. You're there in 2 Corinthians chapter number five. But before we read that, I wanna quote to you John 3.16. In John 3.16, love was defined by giving. Love was defined by sacrificing. Bible says, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, right? Love is sacrificing something for someone. Loving is sacrificing, loving is giving. We're there in 2 Corinthians chapter number five in verse 21. The Bible reads, for he, talk about God the father, hath made him, talk about God the son, to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. And that's the father's love for us. It was demonstrated by him making his own son sin for us. And it's kinda hard to explain because I'm not a father, I'm not a dad, but I think I understand the point that the Bible's making. God gave someone who he values more, God gave someone that he values more than anything, even himself. I believe that that's the point that he was trying to emphasize. In human standards, any loving father would rather die for their kids. Any loving father would rather switch places if their kids are suffering. But God's love for us is on another level that he sacrificed someone whom he values more, right? The father is making a point that he loves us so much that he was willing to give his own son for you and I. Point number one, love was shown through the sacrifice of the father. Point number two, go to Romans chapter number five, Romans chapter number five. Point number two, love was shown through the suffering of the savior for sinners. Love was shown through the suffering of the savior for sinners. You're there in Romans five and verse six. The Bible reads, for when we were yet without strength in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man one will die, yet for adventure for a good man some would even dare to die, but God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And this is something that I cannot really wrap my mind or it's kind of, it's really unthinkable. I understand the how part of it, how God loves us. I just don't understand the why part of it. I say that because of the person that he loves. A sinner like myself. That's a part that I cannot really understand. I don't deserve it, nobody does. But he does anyway. Why, because he's love. And that's the verse that's actually emphasizing is that it's saying that it's rare for someone to even die for a good person, but God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. There's a hymn, there's a hymn that I used to sing or we used to sing at my old church. It's called Why Should He Love Me So? The lyrics just simply goes, why should he love me so? Why should he love me so? Why should my savior to Calvary go? Why should he love me so? And that's a question I keep asking myself, why should he love me so? You know, he sacrificed his life. He sacrificed his life for my sins, for that joy that in Hebrews 12 was talking about, for that joy that was set before him. And I believe that's talking about us, that fellowship that we're going to have in the future with a savior. The savior's love, he sacrificed his life so I can have life. He traded his righteousness for my righteousness, which is the Bible calls, is a filthy rag, right? For a sinner who does not deserve it, for a sinner who's going to keep sinning till the end of my life, who's going to keep on falling, who's going to keep failing, keep on failing, right? And Jesus died all three types of death, right? In Matthew 27, 46, he was calling out to the father, my God, my God, why has thou forsaken me? The father left him alone. Jesus was alone, bearing our sins on that cross that he took to hell to pay for our sins, right? The father left the son, the spirit left the son. God had to forsake his son for your sake. He gave his son so I can become his son. He sacrificed his son for our sins. God is a holy God, put that in perspective. God is a holy God that he cannot stand sin. That's why he actually left the son, right? That's why the reason on the topic of suicide, that's why the reason of losing salvation because sin like suicide does not make sense, right? Because God did not just die for our past sins and our present sins. And Jesus died 2000 years ago, right? All the sins that I've committed so far, all future sins in that perspective, right? I don't know the sins that I'm going to commit. I don't know the sins that I don't know how, what kind of person I'm going to become, but God knows, right, in Jeremiah one, he said, before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee. Even knowing what kind of a person I'm going to become, God died for me anyway. And that's what that verse was emphasizing is that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God's love is so special that even knowing what kind of person I'm going to become, he died for me anyway. So point number one this morning is God's love was shown through the sacrifice of the father. And point number two, God's love was shown through the suffering of the savior for sinners. Point number three, love was shown through the safety and the security from the sealing of the spirit. Go to Ephesians one, Ephesians one. Love was shown through the safety and the security from the sealing of the spirit. You know, the reason why we have that assurance of salvation is because of the promises that come with salvation, right? In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie promised before the world began. You're there in Ephesians one, look at verse 13. The Bible says, in whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. In whom also after that you believe you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, answer the praise of his glory. The promise is the Holy Spirit, right? The Bible or Jesus called him the comforter. We are comforted by these words, these promises by God, right? The sacrifice of the spirit is that of the promise God will keep our salvation safe. God will keep our salvation secure because he promised that, right? How, how does God keep our salvation safe and secure? The Bible says you were sealed by the Holy Ghost, right? The spirit sacrificed himself to stay within you, inside of you. Like I said, put that in perspective how much God hates sin. He cannot stand it, but because he made a promise, he cannot ever leave you. In Ephesians 4.30 the Bible says, and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit dwells within you and will stay within you, he will stay inside of you in your highest and he will stay within you in your lowest. He stays with you wherever you go. No matter how much we mess up, we have the Holy Spirit of promise. What can separate us from the love of God? The Bible asks, right? If you're saved this morning, nothing, right? The love of the spirit is that he will never leave you and that he will never forsake you. Again, in our human logic, this is special because humans tend to give up on people, right? We all have our lines, right? People can cross lines and relationships can be over even between families. The spirit's love is that if you're saved, you can always come home and if you're saved, you have that Holy Spirit of promise that he will never leave you and that's the love of the spirit. We have that eternal security because of the Holy Spirit of promise. To conclude, go to 2 Corinthians chapter number five where we started. So what is the point? Well, the goal is this, right? If they realize, if people at the door realize this kind of love, this special love, there's no way they won't get saved, right? Sometimes when we give the gospel to someone, the only goal for us is to actually get them to agree, to listen because once they realize how simple salvation is and how much God loves them, there's no way they won't get saved, right? Sometimes it's like when they don't get saved, you're like, are you sure? Do you understand what I just told you? The Bible says it's just a gift, right? Like I said, the reason why our salvation is simple is because of God's love for us and not only that, like I said, the main point is to get them saved but not only that, if they can realize this love, maybe they won't just get saved. Maybe they can come here and they can grow and they can start living for Christ. You're there in 2 Corinthians 5, look at verse 14. Verse 14, the Bible says, for the love of Christ constraineth us. It means like it's binding us, it's a burden, right? Because we thus judge that if one died for all, then we're all dead and that he died for all, that they should live, should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them and rose again. You know, the love of God can convict them and the love of God can convince them for them to live not anymore for themselves, but for Christ, right? Knowing the love of God should make us realize that since he died for me, the least that I could do is I should live for him, right? Isn't that why we're here this morning? Because we love God, right? That verse, the Bible says, the reason why we do these things for God is because we love him. We love him because he first loved us and that's what the Bible says. So emphasize the love of God in your soul this morning. Let's pray. Your heavenly father, Lord, thank you for the opportunities to preach this morning. Lord, thank you for everyone that's here and thank you for the promises that you have, Lord, in our salvation. Lord, we love you, pray that you bless the day. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
