(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) Let's look back at verse number 16. The Bible reads, and he that steals a man and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. And my evening sermon is going to be a counterpart to this morning's sermon. I want to continue talking about this issue. This morning I preached on American black culture. And just a quick recap, there's nothing wrong with culture. There's nothing wrong with having a difference of your nationality or where you're from or preferences when it comes to food choices or clothing choices or basically heritage or history. But when culture crosses a certain threshold where it's in violation of God's word, it's a part of culture that should be rejected and preached against. And it shouldn't be something we embrace or we should tolerate. And you say, well, why don't you preach against whites? Or why don't you white culture or whatever? One part of white heritage is slavery. In American history, there was a long portion of time where Americans, especially whites, had enslaved black people from Africa, generally speaking. And that's a horrible part of our history. That's a horrible part of our culture. And I'm not going to embrace that or pretend like that was a good thing. And some people will say, oh, well, that's why I reject the Bible because the Bible teaches slavery. And people use the Bible to teach slavery. Well, they were misusing the Bible because the Bible does not teach the form of slavery that was existent in America for several hundred years and a lot of the segregation that even happened. The Bible teaches that what most people think of slavery is wrong. And it condemns it very strongly. Verse 16, we clearly have. If you're literally selling another person into slavery, if you're selling another man, if you steal somebody and you sell them, that is a capital punishment. That is something worthy of being put to death. How could you then take this verse and exonerate any type of slavery that we see today? And there's all kinds of slavery. Unfortunately, there's millions and millions of people in the world right now that are literal slaves. And not just the sex trafficking arena, but even in Africa and in Muslim countries and other parts of the world, there are literally still people that are in modern day slavery. And slavery is wrong. Slavery is not a biblical concept. We see in this chapter, it's talking about how someone was only supposed to serve for six years and then the seventh year they were supposed to be let free. And if you cause them any kind of physical punishment that goes beyond normal punishment, where you actually cause them permanent damage, losing a tooth or hurting their eye or something, they would be immediately let go. They're immediately set free. And the only way that someone would be a lifelong servant is if they chose it. The Bible says there could be an example where someone just chooses, I just want to serve with you for the rest of my life. And they end up becoming an indentured servant for their entire life. And so slavery as we think of it, and most people picture it, is wrong according to the Bible. And you've got to think about this. The children of Israel were just enslaved for a really long time in Egypt. It's not like they're strangers to the idea of slavery. And God is condemning it for them. Go to chapter 23 in the verse 9. It says, and also, thou shalt not oppress a stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger, seeing you as strangers in the land of Egypt. So when they come out of Egypt, he's not going to say, oh, yeah, slavery, it's OK if you have the right person that you're enslaving. Now, slavery is just always wrong. Slavery is always just not an appropriate form of living, or it's not an appropriate behavior. It's not an appropriate culture. God does not want slavery. And when you look at his commandments, it's very clear. Now, this is where some people get confused. They'll say, well, I've seen portions of the Bible where people are enslaved. Well, there's a difference between history and what God wants. There's a big portion of the Bible dedicated to the kings. God never wanted the children of Israel to have a king. And there's certain groups of people, like the Canaanites, that were all appointed unto destruction. And Joshua ends up making a bad deal with these people. And they end up becoming indentured servants or a type of a slave for the remainder of their life. But that wasn't God's will. That wasn't what God wanted them to do. He had rather them just been killed. He'd rather them just put in put to death. And so they get a lighter punishment of just being indentured servants for the remaining portion of their days. But the Bible still makes it clear. There's no justification to sit here and beat people up or cause them permanent damage. That would never be acceptable. God is love. His laws are righteous. There's nothing unrighteous about any of God's commandments. Go to Deuteronomy chapter 24. Deuteronomy chapter 24. Let's find another place where the Bible strongly condemns this ideology of slavery. And it's sad to understand that throughout American history, pastors, preachers, and churches got up and justified slavery. And you say, who would do something like that? I don't know. Maybe the Southern Baptist Convention. Ever heard of them? The largest denomination? Yeah, they literally segregated themselves from the Northern Baptists on the issue of slavery legitimately. They had missionaries that the Northern Baptist churches were unwilling to financially support. They said, I can't support this missionary because he owns slaves. I mean, I feel like I agree. Imagine if I'm like, hey, we've got this new evangelist. He's a really good guy. He preaches a lot of Bible. But he does own a couple of people as slaves. It's like, why would I want to support that guy? They're saying no. And the Southern Baptist Convention, as I typically recall them, the bastard convention, but they literally split because of that. And that's what formed SBC, was literally slavery. And you ask some of their leaders, like there's a guy in Houston, the pastor of the largest church down there that's SBC, Greg Mott, the pastor of First Baptist Church there. He loves the Holman Christian Standard Bible because it uses the word slave more than any other modern translation. It uses the word slave over 300 times in that Bible. Whereas the King James, it's only used twice. And they're both negative. Now look at Deuteronomy 24, verse 7. If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel and maketh merchandise of him or selleth him, then that thief shall die, and thou shalt put evil away from among you. How can you get up and read these verses and then justify slavery, justify what people were doing? It's evil. It's wicked. It was a twisting of scripture. And you know what? The same thing happens today. And the same thing is happening today. But instead of it being a physical slavery that's existent today, it's a mental slavery. And the title of my evening sermon is this, Mental Black Slavery. Mental Black Slavery. Because in this country, people are being enslaved today, but not physically mentally. They're being enslaved. And they're basically being mistreated and taken advantage of. And they don't even realize it. If we go to Revelation chapter number one, Revelation chapter number one, now let me teach you a little bit of doctrine, then I'm going to get into very close specifics. But there's a couple of aspects of culture that I haven't touched yet that are part of the American Black Culture sermon I preached this morning. And I really want to focus this section more on the mental slavery that's happening to black people today. But if you want to enslave people, one thing that you have to do is you have to keep them dumb. You have to keep them stupid. Because knowledge is power. It's just reality. And so in order to enslave people for a very long period of time, one of the aspects often is to try and de-educate them, dumb them down, keep them unsophisticated. Because if they start realizing that they are bigger in number or they have the ability to think for themselves, they can often rebel or there can be a lot of problems. And so one way to enslave people is by literally making them stupid on purpose. Look at Revelation chapter 1, verse 3. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein, for the time is at hand. You know, the Bible teaches you that you need to read. And reading is a very important skill that we all must have. If we want to know who God is, if we want to draw close to Him, it's through reading. Go to Proverbs chapter 1. Go to Proverbs chapter number 1. Let me show you a couple more verses here. Proverbs chapter number 1, but I believe that it would be a sin if you are an adult and you have no mental disability and you can't read, that's a sin in my opinion. You know, the Bible makes it clear, blessed is he that readeth. How can you even read the scriptures when you're unable to? How do you understand the Bible? How do you comprehend things? How do you study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth? How can you study when you can't even read? And it's a shame, it's an embarrassment, it's a reproach. And you know what, there's a lot of adults today that either can't read or can't read well. And it's crazy today, but that's a sin. Proverbs chapter 1, look at verse 22. How long, ye simple ones, will you love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Look, he's contrasting the righteous with the wicked. The wicked love simplicity. They love to be stupid. They love to reject wisdom and to reject knowledge. And let me tell you one of the best ways to reject knowledge, not reading. If you want to be stupid, never read. And if you want wisdom, read. Readers are leaders. And if you want knowledge, if you want information, don't get spoon fed by MTV. Don't get spoon fed by the television. You need to get spoon fed by reading. Hey, you want to learn how to spell, read. People that can't spell don't read. Obviously, someone could have dyslexia or some kind of mental problem, but that's an exception. If I run into somebody and they don't have a mental problem and they can't spell, I know something about them. They don't read. Because when you read and you read and you read, when you misspell a word, you just look at it, it just looks wrong. Because you've seen it spelled right so many different times. And if you want to actually gain information, it's through reading. Look at Proverbs chapter 1, just go back to verse number 5. A wise man will hear and will increase learning. And a man of understanding shall attain in a wise counsels to understand a proverb and the interpretation, the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. So if you want wisdom, if you're going to be righteous, if you're going to do that which is good, you need to understand the words of the wise. Here's the thing, if you're not educated, if you don't even have a big vocabulary, then it's going to be hard for you to even understand the words of the wise. But it's literally something that you should strive to do. You should strive to understand the words of the wise. When you read a word in your Bible and you don't know it, look it up. Look it up. Figure out what it means. You should strive to understand the word of God and to draw closer to the Lord. Go to Proverbs chapter 7, Proverbs chapter 7, and look at verse number 7. Now, let me show you some slavery here in the Bible that's a mental slavery. That's not necessarily a physical slavery, and in fact, someone weaker than you can enslave you through a mental means, okay? Look at Proverbs chapter 7, verse 7. I beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youth, a young man void of understanding. So this person is what you would classify as simple or frankly speaking, stupid. He's just ignorant at best, okay? But he's going to be taken advantage of by a young woman. Okay, look at verse 21. With her much fair speech, she caused him to yield. With the flattering of her lips, she forced him. Now, what is slavery? Being forced to do things that you don't wanna do, okay? She's literally gonna force this guy, enslave this guy through what? Through her flattery, through what she's saying, why? Because he's too foolish, he's too stupid to understand the trap that she's laid out there for him. It says in verse 22, he goeth after a straight way, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks. Meaning he wants to, he's just immediately going for it. There's nothing stopping him. Verse 23, till a dart strike through his liver, as a bird hasteneth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Harken unto me now therefore, you children, and tend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways. You are not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded, yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. Let me tell you something, stupidity will kill you, and stupidity will take you to hell. Just ask Muhammad, just ask false religion today. Hey, Muhammad couldn't read. Hey, maybe if he could read, he would understand that all the stuff he believes about the Bible's wrong. Because every time he brings up a Bible story, it's inaccurate. Why, because he couldn't even read. And you know what, a lot of people, I think that, frankly speaking, education is a part of their problem when it comes to getting saved. They're noted as the simple, as the foolish, and because they hate knowledge, because they're not interested in learning, or growing or getting information, they end up not getting the education of the Lord. The rod and the proof bring wisdom. They give wisdom. And you know what that does? It also helps your children not wanna go to hell, because they understand there's a punishment for their sin. These kids that grow up and they never have any punishment, and no one ever teaches them anything, why do they need to worry about hell? And they basically just get fed lies, and they're flattered and told how special they are and how wonderful they are, and just come on into hell with me, and just come on into death. And let me tell you something, stupidity will literally kill you. Stupidity will literally destroy you. Not being educated will kill you. As I evidenced this morning, not even knowing how to swim will kill you. You know, you should learn how to protect yourself from danger in this world today. Go to 1 Peter chapter number four. Go to 1 Peter chapter number four. Let me show you another verse here. But there is a mental slavery that can happen where because of your ignorance, because of your foolishness, because of you not understanding something, people can trick you, people can deceive you, people can lie to you. You know, I feel like that's the picture of modern day Christianity. There's so many people today that are being led astray, why, because they don't know what the Bible says. Yet, you know, the goal of this church, you know, should be one of the goals is we give so much Bible to these children that are in this room that it's impossible for them to ever go to Joel Osteen's church. You know, they could get backslidden, they could be in the world or whatever, but they couldn't ever sit through a Joel Osteen sermon because they know so much Bible. They're like, this guy's lying to me. You know, it's possible for anybody to get backslidden. It's possible for anybody to, you know, be sinful or to draw away from the Lord. But when you know that what the person's telling you is just straight lies and they're not preaching the Bible, it's a lot harder to get led astray by it. It's a lot harder to fall for that trap when you realize it's a trap, literally. And I think a lot of people are going to these stupid churches because they don't know anything. You know, I don't feel like I run into people that go to these non-nom churches and they just, they can quote the Bible and they can tell you all the stories and they know everything. They usually have no idea what's in the Bible. They're quoting Gandhi. They're quoting all kinds of mantras from CNN and what people just love to spout off that's not even in the Bible. First Peter chapter four, look at verse 11. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God. Now I believe the primary interpretation of this would be in an authoritative sense, okay? The oracles of God said, thus saith the Lord, okay? But I think you could also extrapolate that you should try to communicate the same way that the oracles or the messengers of God did. And so there's all kinds of different commandments on reading, studying, on how you should speak, on communication, on language, and all these different aspects. And let me tell you what, the American black culture today is attacking people through language, okay? Go to Isaiah chapter 29, Isaiah chapter 29, trying to dumb people down. You know, I quoted it a few weeks ago. There's articles saying that teaching children how to read and write is somehow racist. You know, teaching them math is somehow racist. That couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth. Educating someone is never gonna be racist. Educating someone's always beneficial. It's always a blessing. It's always something that's good. And really, what's racist is to tell people they shouldn't learn how to read or they shouldn't have to learn how to speak well or understand language. Look at Isaiah 29 and look at verse number nine. Stay yourselves in wonder, cry out and cry. They are drunken, but not with wine. They stagger, but not with strong drink. For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep. And it closed your eyes the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, read this, I pray thee. And he saith, I cannot, for it is sealed. And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, read this, I pray thee. And he saith, I am not learned. Wherefore the Lord said, for as much of this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me. And their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men. Therefore, behold, I'll proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work in a wonder, for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. So God's talking about a severe punishment that's gonna come on the children of Israel. The punishment is that everyone will literally be stupid. The smartest guy will be a complete imbecile. You show them things in the Bible, like the resurrection, and he'll just deny it. You show them pictures about Christ saying, you have to eat my flesh and drink my blood, and they're gonna get the knife and the fork out. You show them all kinds of, you show them things in the Bible, and they'll say, oh, I think there's more than two genders. That's your wise men today. And you know what, he's doing that to America. Our wise are becoming literal fools before our eyes. And not only that, then just the rest of the people, the non-learned people, they're so stupid, they can't even literally read the text. They're so foolish, they can't even read. They say, hey, read the Bible. I can't. What a punishment, what a shame. We need to have a whole nation. And look, with the way texting is going, and the way all this lingo and all this trash, you hand people King James Bible, what do they say? Oh, I can't understand that, I need something easier. Do you have a Dr. Seuss version of the Bible? Oh wait, we canceled that. Do you have a picture book? I mean, you hand somebody a King James Bible today, and they act like it's a foreign language. There was a man sent from God, his name was John. It's like, how hard was that? Like, what? God, John, from God, understand. What point do you have to dumb it down? And look, yeah, I guarantee there's portions of scripture that are a little bit more sophisticated than the Gospel of John. Yeah, praise the Lord. You know what, God's a little bit more complicated than Dr. Seuss. God's a little bit more complicated than your unlearned, ignorant, buffoon head, okay? Now, I've given you a lot of principles, and I wanted to use this before I get into what I wanna basically apply this to. But when it comes to language, you know, there's a lot of lies going around that are trying to justify a broken version of English. Okay, and let me tell you what this is called. It's called AAVE, like African American vernacular English. Okay, let me read you a little bit about this. It says, although AAVE does not necessarily have the simple past tense marker of other English varieties, it does have an optional tense system with at least four aspects of the past tense and two aspects of the future tense. Now, AAVE is being told to people that it's like a legitimate language, okay? And you say, what is this? Well, I'll just give you examples, because I feel like the examples helps you understand. But if you're gonna tell someone that something happened in the past, this is how AAVE sounds. I've been bought it, okay? A recent past would be, I done buy it. Prepresent, I did buy it. Past inceptive, I do buy it. Prepresent, I be buying it. Future, I'ma buy it. Post immediate, I'ma gonna buy it. Indefinite future, I gonna buy it. They're saying this is a legitimate language, okay? Let me give you more. So another example, he be working Tuesdays. How standard English sounds is, he frequently works on Tuesdays, okay? Another example of AAVE, he stay working. Standard English, he is always working. AAVE, he steady working. Standard English, he keeps on working. Perfect progressive, he been working. He has been working. And then in the future, he finna go to work. And then it says, he is about to go to work, okay? Now you laugh, but let me explain a couple things, all right? First of all, what's happened, why would someone communicate this way? Well, it's slang, okay? Or it's just a not full comprehension or understanding of the English language, just broken English. It just means someone either hasn't been educated or is being sloppy, okay? Now, I'm not gonna say that slang or being sloppy is a sin inherently, because it's not, you know? If it was a sin, then I would never be able to learn Spanish because guess what? My Spanish is real gringo Spanish, okay? It sounds like this. When I talk in Spanish, I mix up verb tenses with noun because they do it all backwards in Mexico, okay? They take like the verbs and nouns and they throw them all, you know? Instead of saying like green house, you would say casa verde. So in like English, it's like house green, you know? So like me, I'm not used to that. Or if you're gonna use the word it, a lot of times you say, I'm gonna go find it. But in Spanish, it would be used the word lo and it'd be before the verb. So it'd be like lo, you know, buscad or something, depending on exactly which word you're trying to use. And so because they're backwards, I mix them up or I make gaffes, you know, like Biden. But it's because I don't speak Spanish, okay? You know, Biden's primary language is English. There shouldn't be gaffes, okay? That's a problem. That means he doesn't have a command of the English language or there's some kind of issue. But let me read more about AAVE, okay? This is based on the Wikipedia information about us. As educators, traditionally have attempted to eliminate AAVE usage through the public education system, perceiving the dialect as grammatically defective. In 1974, the teacher-led conference on college composition and communication issued a position statement affirming students' rights to their own dialects and the validity of all dialects. Mainstream linguistics has long agreed with this view about dialects. In 1979, a judge ordered the Ann Arbor School District to find a way to identify AAVE speakers in the schools and use that knowledge in teaching such students how to read standard English. In 1996, Oakland Unified School District made a controversial resolution for AAVE, which was later called Ebonics. The Oakland School Board approved that Ebonics be recognized as a language independent from English. So there's literally school boards and community colleges, not community, but colleges, that have said that Ebonics is a legitimate language. Okay, not that it's a distortion or a broken portion of language, but rather it's its own special language. This is where you give everybody a participation trophy. Okay, this is where the guy comes in last in the race and you say, well, maybe last is a new category. You know, we'll give a trophy to him, too. This is silly. How, are we gonna, new language, gringo Spanish. My terrible broken Spanish is now its own independent language. Now, you know what I should do is I should learn how to speak Spanish properly. I should learn proper Spanish. Now, what you have to understand about language, though, is language evolves over time and it changes and it adapts and people have to adjust to it. You know, there's some people that speak Spanglish, right? It's just kind of a weird hybrid of English and Spanish. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't think there's anything wrong with even speaking Ebonics, okay? I'm not saying this is a sinful. What is sinful? Not being able to read the Bible. Not being able to study the Bible. Not being able to comprehend the words of the wise. Not being able to draw closer to the Lord. And here's the thing. If you have one of these weird hybrid languages that aren't a real language, guess what? You're not gonna be able to find a Bible. Hey, if you speak legitimate Spanish, read the Reign of the Larragomas, 2010. Hey, if you speak legitimate English, read the King James Bible. But guess what? We don't need any Ebonics Bible. Now, you say Ebonics Bible, who would do that? Well, just wait. Who's heard of the Hawaiian Pidgin Bible? Now, let me explain to you what Pidgin is. Pidgin is basically where someone does not speak a language appropriately or understand it completely. So they just basically have a broken version of that language, like a half or half, and they basically just have their own dialect. But it's not really a legitimate language, okay? It may turn into that, but it's not its own language. Now, Hawaiian Pidgin language is this. Because there's all these people that came from China, Japan, from the Philippines, from all these Asian countries into Hawaii, and they don't speak English. So you know what? They have a Pidgin language that's like a broken English. So guess what? Someone made it a Bible. Now, let me give you some excerpts, okay? This is the beginning. It's called Da Start. God Make Da World. That's the title. Verse one. The time when eriting winds start, God make the sky and da world. Da world come so no mo, nothin' inside. No mo shape nothin'. On top the wild ocean that cover eriting, never had like nothin'. Only had God's spirit day, movin' around over da water. Then, God tell, I like light fo' shine. And da light start fo' shine. God see how good da light, then he put da light on one side and da dark on da other side. Da light time, he give him da name daytime. Da dark time, he give him da name night time. So had da night time and da daytime as day number one. On the Bible app on my phone, it has this version as a legitimate Bible version. There are people that are reading this online, legitimate, and they're all like, we're gonna start reading the Hawaiian Pidgin Bible. Da time when erting start. It's like, what in the world? And if you're gonna tell me that Ebonics is a legitimate language, then you have to say this is legitimate too. You can't pick and choose. Look, no person that's rational would say this is a legitimate version of the Bible. This is blasphemous if you ask me. You know, the Bible says wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. And with all that getting, get understanding. Now look, if I'm from China, and I'm trying to communicate with someone from the United States and I don't speak English well, and I sound like this just to get a message across, so be it, there's no problem in that. But then why do I have to say that's a legitimate language that we need to make a Bible into? That's where you're basically just harming these people by telling them it's okay to speak a broken version of English. The same as it would be to tell these young black children, oh, don't learn how to speak English properly, it's okay, speak Ebonics. I know been good. That's foolishness. What are they trying to do? They're trying to enslave them. Because you know what, when you don't have a command of any language, how are you gonna understand the word of God? How are you gonna understand anything? How are you gonna be successful in the world that you live in? Now I told you Proverbs 4.7, wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. With all that getting, get understanding. Here's your why and vision version. You like come to kind guy, that know what foe do every time. This the number one thing, go all out for learn what foe do every time. And every thing you learn, make sure you understand them. Now who got the same comprehension from that? Go to Hosea 4, go to Hosea chapter number 4. You say, oh, you're making fun of people. I'm not making fun of any person, I'm making fun of bad ideas. You know what, if you're trying to learn how to speak, you know my toddlers, they sound like this. He no do good. You know, him bad. You know, that's what my kids sound like. But when I say, oh, this is a new language. My kids are brilliant. They've come up with new toddler talk. You know, let's glorify this. We should never teach them how to read and write. They already got it. That's the same philosophy. It's a foolish philosophy. And you know what, you end up getting to destroy yourself. Look at Hosea 4.6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me. Seeing thou has forgotten the law of thy God. I will also forget thy children. Notice these people, they rejected the Bible, they don't wanna hear it, they don't wanna know it, they don't want knowledge. And guess what, destroyed. And when you reject learning, when you reject reading, when you reject studying, when you reject being able to read and write and do these things, you are going to destroy yourself. Civilizations that are not able to read and write are not gonna thrive. Show me a successful country in this world that can't read and write. Oh, you wanna go back to Africa, where they're running around half-naked and they can't read and write and they're eating each other like cannibals? Oh yeah, that sounds great. Sounds wonderful. No, they're literally destroying themselves. The best countries are gonna be ones that can read and write and have the Word of God at the forefront of their learning. You know in America, in the early portion of our education system, while I don't agree with public education, at least, you know where they got their reading and writing from? The Bible. They would copy Bible verses to learn how to write. They would memorize Bible verses. They had the 10 Commandments. Again, I'm not for public education, but at least if you're gonna force them to do something, that sounds like a pretty good habit. Sounds like a pretty good education source there. I can see why our country's a little different. Let me give you Isaiah 4.6 from the Hawaiian Pigeon. My people stay come and wipe out, because they don't own me, and because you priest guys know like, know me. As why I know like, let you guys be my priest guys. You guys forget the teaching that come from me. You're a God, the one in charge. As why I don't forget your kids. This is ridiculous. Go to Romans chapter number 10. Go to Romans chapter number 10. Look, you see, this is silly. Yeah, it's just as silly as them glorifying Ebonics, and praising Ebonics. Now look, I'm not saying using Ebonics would be wrong. Hey, if you get somebody saved using Ebonics, praise the Lord. I don't care. You know, if you have to use Pigeon language to communicate with someone, go for it. But at the end of the day, your personal understanding needs to go beyond that so that you can comprehend the word of God. You should be able to read the word of God. You should be able to study the word of God. You should be able to communicate in a way that's the same as the Bible. Not some blasphemous, you know, reading of the text like this. Romans chapter 10, I'll give you theirs. That mean, if you tell in front everybody, Jesus, he the one in charge of me, and you trust inside that God will bring Christ back alive after he make ye, then God gonna take you out the bad kind stuff you stay do. Who's gonna get saved from that? Go to Jude chapter one. Jude chapter number one. You say, this is silly. It's sad. It's funny at first, and then it becomes sad. And the names of these books are ridiculous, okay? I mean, the start, you know? And it's like the priest guys. Smart guys, who knows what smart guys is? Guess what chapter, what book of the Bible is smart guys? Proverbs. The Jesus guys. Acts. The show. Revelation. Hey, y'all guys speak Pigeon, I didn't know that. You're starting to pick this up. Jude chapter number one, look at one. Jude the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the father and preserved in Jesus Christ and called. That's, I like that verse. Aloha, this me Jude. Me James brother, you know? And I, one, work a foe, Jesus Christ. The special guy, God wins sin. I stay write this letter for you guys. God the father, tell you guys, foe come by him and be his guys. He get plenty love and aloha, foe you guys that stay tight with him, and Jesus Christ take good kind you guys. This is such a butchering of the word of God. And you know, I looked it up, all of the NIV changes, you know, Acts 8, 37, being missing. Luke 4, 4, miss, all that stuff's missing too. That's just a modern version, just bastardized to such a weird extent. It's so blasphemous, it's so weird. And you know, it's strange to me that they're gonna tell all these people, oh this is great, have your own language, just speak Pigeon, okay? Or just speak Ebonics to the young black men. But then they lift up people like Dr. King. Let me tell you something about Dr. King. While he was a wicked false teacher and an adulterer, he was very articulate. Let me give you part of his speech, of his famous speech, Dr. King. But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice and the process of gaining a rightful place. We must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. Now he doesn't sound like he's speaking Ebonics to me, number one. Number two, BLM needs to read that a couple times. He said, we're not gonna exhort to physical violence. We're not gonna be domestic terrorists. We're gonna meet physical force with soul force. Yet that's not what we see today. Says this, the marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people. Tell CNN that. He says, for many of our white brothers as evidenced by their presence here today have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. He also said that we shouldn't hate white people. Hey, tell CNN that one too. Let me tell you what, by telling black people they shouldn't be able to learn how to read and write, that it's racist, or to tell them to speak with Ebonics is trying to mentally enslave them again. Because you wanna know what they would do? Well, they didn't educate the black slaves in American history and they had no idea how to read and write. And when it came to voting laws, sometimes they'd try to pass voting laws that you had to be able to read and write, another way to hold people down and not allow them to vote. Now they claim having voter ID is racist, but that's not racist, okay. But at the end of the day, we need to reject things that are sinful, okay. What's sinful? Not being able to understand the word of God. And if you cannot read or write any language where you can understand the Bible, then you need to fix that. You need to fix that. You need to be able to read and write or be able to study the Bible in a language. Now if that's Spanish, go for it. If it's English, go for it. You know if English changes into another form and we get another Bible version in that form, then go for it, okay. As long as it's still, you know, matching with the original Greek and Hebrew, you know, I have no problem with that. I have no problem with foreign language or language of all, look English, there was a time when English didn't even exist in the world today, okay. So there's nothing wrong. Hey, there's nothing wrong with even speaking Ebonics. Hey, I had a little rap this morning. There's nothing wrong with that. What's wrong is the content. And what would be wrong is if I was unable to understand the Bible. You know, we're not gonna glorify stupidity here. I'm not gonna get up and I've heard this in Baptist churches where they say, I can't even understand half the words on the page but I believe in my faith, brother. Hey, there's a redneck version of this and we should reject it. Peter Ruckmanism is stupid, okay. And glorifying stupidity is a foolish ideology, okay. We're gonna glorify the wisdom of God. That's what we're gonna do. Now let me get to a couple other areas of, mental slavery. Go if you would to Isaiah 20 for a moment. Go to Isaiah 20. How about fashion? You know, when it comes to Hitler and the Jews, they would make them wear certain paraphernalia as a picture of their slavery. And let me tell you something. Wearing a mask is a form of slavery. Mental slavery. Enslaving people. And you know, it makes me sick. Makes me frustrated today. What would be the American black culture form of this? Not wearing a belt. It's sick. It's gross. You know, my mom would scream at me if my pants even sagged like a half an inch. And she'd say, you don't wanna be a fag, John. She said, you know, the guys in jail, they let their pants sag to let them know they're open for business. You don't wanna be a fag, John. And I was like, that's right. Give me two belts. Hey, I'm against like double mask, but double belt. I'm all for that. We wanna keep that up. And let me tell you what. Having your buttocks show is a sign of slavery. Let me prove it to you. Isaiah 20, look at verse four. So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptian prisoners and the Ethiopian captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt. Hey, a way to shame somebody is to uncover their nakedness, to uncover their buttocks today. It's a form of shame today. And you know what? They're encouraging young black men to show off their buttocks. It's gross. Pull your pants up. No one wants to see that. And the only person that wants to see it's not your friend. Watch sodomite deception, all right? Bible says to cover your nakedness. And you know what? Fashion, I don't care if you wanna wear Michael Jordan's or if you wanna wear baggy pants or you wanna wear, you know, whatever the cool threads are or anything like that. Black fashion, go for it. But you know what? Not exposing your nakedness. Not showing me your rear, okay? How about their cuisine? I have no problems with their cuisine, okay? I like their cuisine. Hey, you know there's a restaurant called Lolo's, Chicken and Waffles? It's epic, okay? And let me tell you what, they embrace the black culture. You go in there, it's just like all black, you know, pictures of people. And it's like, their menu's like from the hood, okay? It's Ebonics. But you know what? I don't care because I can read it. And you know what? Their chicken and their waffles is great. I don't care. Just because something's cultural doesn't make it wrong. And I'm not against all culture. You know, I love watermelon too. I'm not a pancake guy. I'm a waffle guy, okay? And you know, the food associated with white people, Spam, grilled cheese, and PB&J, I don't even want those things. I don't like them. Give me the fried chicken and the watermelon and give me the waffles. Hey. But you know what? Righteousness exalts the nation, but sin is your approach to any people. Let me give you a couple more things to think about on politics. How about this? The area of politics. Here's a quote from Joe Biden about Barack Obama. I mean, you've got the first sort of mainstream African-American who's articulate and bright and clean and nice looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man. Biden said that Barack Obama was the first articulate, the first clean, the first nice looking black guy to ever exist in America. What about Dr. King? He seemed pretty articulate. That's the most racist thing you could ever say. Finally, one that's not a deterrent, you know? He's literally racist, okay? And of course, they don't want to attack him. Let me give you some ideas about politics. And again, we'll get to a few more bio verses in a minute. Go to 2 John chapter one. Let me give you history, okay? The Republican Party was formed largely on an anti-slavery platform. It emerged in 1854 to combat the expansion of slavery into American territories and new states. The theme was free soil, free labor, and free men. 1865, the Republicans passed the 13th Amendment banning slavery. The first Republican Party president was Abraham Lincoln, who led the Union's war against the Southern Confederacy, a war that was not wholly about slavery, but slavery was a fundamental aspect. In 1865, the Republicans passed the 13th, I'm sorry, I repeated that one. In 1868, the Republicans passed the 14th Amendment granting citizenship to former slaves and equal protection under the law. Under President Ulysses Grant in 1868 to 1876, Republicans, backed by federal troops, sought to reconstruct the South and enforce federal laws granting liberties to blacks. They formed Union Leagues and fought the Ku Klux Klan and other segregationist forces. So the federal government literally came into the South and was fighting against the Ku Klux Klan to enforce equality for blacks. They had passed the law, but they weren't basically allowing it to exist, and so the federal government was trying to enforce equal protection for black citizens of the United States under Republicans. In 1872, the first seven black members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives were Republicans. In 1873, Democrats won the House of Representatives at the federal level and formed Redeemer Coalitions and gradually gained control over the state departments in the South. In 1877, the federal troops were removed from the southern states, and the era of Reconstruction ended. Democratic-controlled southern governments enacted segregation policies called Jim Crow laws, which effectively disenfranchised blacks and segregated all aspects of society. And Joe Biden gets up on television, and he says that asking people to have voter ID is like going back to the Jim Crow laws. Well, he should know all about that, since it was democratically created. Basically, they're trying to come up with laws to try and really segregate people. This is where you see the horrible things in society like a water fountain that says for whites only, and restaurants for whites only, and certain sections of the bus for whites only. What kind of a horrible ideology? Oh yeah, Democrats. Wonderful. The timing of the agreement was prompted by the presidential election in 1876, okay, between Democrat Samuel B. Tilden, governor of New York, and Republican Rutherford Hayes, governor of Ohio. When the votes were counted, Tilden led Hayes by one vote in the electoral college. But the Republicans accused the Democrats of voter fraud, saying they intimidated African-American voters in three southern states, Florida, Louisiana, and Southern Carolina, and prevented them from voting, thus fraudulently handling the election to Tilden. I've never heard of things like this. Congress set up a bipartisan commission made up of five US representatives, five senators, and five Supreme Court justices with a balance of eight Republicans and seven Democrats. They struck a deal. The Democrats agreed to allow Hayes to become president and respect the political and civil rights of African-Americans if the Republicans were to remove all remaining federal troops from southern states. This effectively ended the era of reconstruction in the south and consolidated democratic control, which lasted until the mid-1960s, nearly a century. That's amazing to me. That's just history, okay? But it's amazing to me how they say, if you don't vote for me, then you ain't black. Joe Biden saying that to a black person. Think if you don't vote Democrat. What have the Democrats done for them? And they say, oh, it's the South, the evil South. They removed the troops that were trying to enforce the equal protection of the law. They were the ones that came up with the Jim Crow laws. But now you have churches today, black churches. This is the title of an article. Black churches have been getting souls to the polls for more than 60 years. Did you know black churches today will round up all of its congregants and drive them to the polls to try and get the vote? And let me tell you what, they're not voting Republican, FYI. And then they might drive to the next poll. Then they might drive to the next poll. And they might get a gift card for doing it too. That's all just hearsay, all right? Second John chapter one, look at verse nine. Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not in your house, neither bid him God speed, for he that bid him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. Now let me say this, God is not a Republican. I am not a Republican. I have not voted any time recently, okay? Nor do I plan to vote unless Texas is gonna succeed. But, you know, just because I'm not a Republican doesn't mean I can't condemn the Democrats either. And whenever you go and vote for someone, guess what, you're a partaker of their evil deeds. How can any Christian ever vote for any of the Democrats of today? They are literally the party of Satan. Pastor Jimenez said it best, God's not a Republican, but the devil's a Democrat. I mean, the party that's literally murdering babies and just the most pro-transgender, just pro-Sodomite, just Communist, just all kinds of evil and filth, they hate the word of God, they don't have any truth. I mean, how can they do that? But they're literally dragging all kinds of people from these black churches up to vote for them, and the souls for the polls. From a historical perspective, I don't even get it. How did they become Democrat? Well, I think religion had a part to play. And we talked about mental black slavery, mental black slavery. Let me tell you a stronghold in the mental black slavery, it's religion today, religion. Let me give you the worst example and then we'll get to a few others. The black Hebrew Israelites, one of the most evil satanic groups. Man, this thing is a cancer. Want to talk about racists? Brother Dylan called some black Hebrew Israelites recently. And he was asking them questions about if he was going to go to heaven. And they're like, you know, because he's white. He's like, I'm white, can I go to heaven? He was like, yeah, but it's like the lower heaven, you know. He's like, it's not so much if you're going to be there, it's more about what you're doing. And it's like, Dylan's going to become a permanent slave in their black heaven or whatever. He said, hey, if I believe all your doctrine, can I come to your church, can I be a part of your church? No, because he's white. White people are literally not allowed to come to the black Hebrew Israelite church. Whereas we have every color, creed, you know, in this church and they're all welcome. What kind of bizarreness? That's an evil, wicked religion today and it should be condemned. You know, and the person that called me up and said, hey, I really want to come to your church, you just have to ask one question. What do you think about interracial marriage? And it's like, who cares? Well, I'm not going to your church. It's like, great, I don't want you. I want your racist ideology coming and infecting my church. That's trash. There's one race, mankind. Now I'll give you a couple of history facts about religion too, okay? One of the most vexing questions in African American history is whether free African Americans themselves own slaves. The short answer to this question, as you might suspect, is yes, of course. Some free black people in this country bought and sold other black people and did so at least since 1654, continuing to do so right through the Civil War. For me, the really fascinating questions about black slave owning are how many black masters were involved? How many slaves did they own and why do they own slaves? The answer to these questions are complex and historians have been arguing for some time over whether free blacks purchased family members as slaves in order to protect them, motivated on the one hand by benevolence and philanthropy, as historian Carter G. Woodson put it, or whether, on the other hand, they purchased other black people as an act of exploitation, primarily to exploit their free labor for profit, just as white slave owners did. The evidence shows that, unfortunately, both things are true. The great African American historian John Oop Franklin states this clearly. The majority of Negro owners of slaves had some personal interest in their property, but he admits there were instances, however, in which free Negroes had a real economic interest in the institution of slavery and held slaves in order to improve their economic status. So as a historical fact, there have been free black men owning other black men in slavery. And let me tell you what, it's the same thing today, but it's not as physical as more mental today. And you know who's owning other men? These black false profit preachers today. These black false profit preachers today, owning people and taking advantage of them and taking their money. Look, how are they any different? They're enslaving them mentally. They're enslaving them, and they teach them about all this social justice and all this nonsense and all this crap and lies in order to keep them down and to just profit them economically. You know, Dr. King was also economical, or I'm sorry, ecumenical. This is what he said. He said, and when this happens and when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, free at last, free at last. Oh, you're gonna join hands with a Catholic and scream liberty? I'm never gonna join hands with a Catholic. What kind of a Baptist is he? Oh, a fake one, that's what. You know, let's talk about the worst slave owner in the world, in whom the God of this world is blind to the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ was the image of God to shine to them. You know who's the worst slave owner? The devil. He's enslaved the unsaved today. And you know what, his ministers are the same, and there is a litany of black churches today, of false prophets today, enslaving the minds of people, and they're not saved, and they're just raking in the prophets today, and there's tons of black people, they will only go to a church if it's a black church. And let me say this, there's nothing wrong with a black church. There's nothing wrong with a church having 100% black people, zero wrong with it. You know what's wrong? If you go to a church only because of skin color, and you reject the gospel, you reject the truth, you're not preaching the word of God, there's nothing wrong with 100% white church, or Hispanic church, or an Asian church, or any kind, it doesn't matter, that has no bearing. You know, some people will only go to a church based on skin color, the Korean church, the Spanish church, and you know, sometimes it's segregated based on language, and that makes sense, but it should never be segregated on skin color. And these people are just creating all of these denominations, and they're holding them. Let me give you an example, and we'll kind of finish on this, okay? But there's a big church that I pass every week, and it really makes me angry, based on venting, all right? It's called Friendship West Baptist Church. And this is a huge church, right off 20, and earlier in the year, last year, they had this huge BLM banner, you know, shining real bright on this stupid church. Now they say, we're not shut down, we're redeployed. You know, they're still not meeting or something, because of COVID or whatever. But you go to their website, and they literally have like, how to get involved, and this is the number one thing they have, how to support the movement beyond the March protest. And I was like, what? And they have like 10 banners on this thing. And it's all about, guess what, supporting BLM and these type of protests, this type of march. Let me give you a couple of them. Number five, how to support the movement beyond the March protest, 10 ways to be involved beyond the protest. Here's number five, continue to educate yourself and the people around you by sharing personal experiences on racism. Confront racism wherever you see it, including your inner circle of family and friends, start conversations about the importance of black lives and ending criminalization and state violence against black communities in your workplace, school, library, church, and family. So this church is literally trying to get their entire 12,000 congregate black church to just go out into this world and just infect everybody with this idea of everything's racist. Just hey, attack your family, attack your friends, attack your workplace, just tell everybody, confront them about racism, just make everything about race. What part of the Bible are they reading? This is the number one way to get involved in the church. Instead of soul winning, they're race baiting. That's their evangelism. Here's number nine, take care of yourself. Rest and self care are revolutionary acts. The criminalization of black communities, police violence against black people, and the devaluing of black lives is traumatizing. With the constant dissemination of news and images on social media, it can become overwhelming to continually process the recent event and attacks on black lives. Step away from your computer, TV, or social media and take time to remember what we're fighting for. I don't know the gospel, Jesus. Here's what it says, allowing yourselves to feel all of the necessary stages of grief and experiencing joy in these times is not only crucial but essential. Utilize resources to help process the emotions that come during these seasons, such as the Friendship West Baptist Church Be Made Whole Counseling Center. So they're basically saying, oh, you need to just take care of yourself because this is just a hard fight. And you need to constantly recharge yourself. What does this have to do with the gospel? What does it have to do with the Bible? Nothing. And they literally have a place on here where you can click and find other links. And they have these bail bond funds in the guise of Christianity, in the guise of Luke, to try and bail these protesters out of jail with the Christian funds, okay? They have a whole page called Justice. Okay, let me read some of this. Friendship West Baptist Church is committed to serving Jesus and fighting for justice. Our fearless leader and senior pastor, Reverend Dr. Frederick Douglass Hayes III, travels the world speaking truth to power, giving a voice to the voiceless, and providing hope and help to those in need. It is in our DNA to fight for justice with a focus on social, economic, gender, food, and environmental justice for everyone. So this church says that they need to fight for gender justice, literally. So they're having whole conferences where they're bringing in women pastors to fight for gender justice. It's sick. Not only that, they fight for fag gender justice. It's like, what does being black have to do with being a fag? And they have to embrace it themselves. Here's their, they have a gender justice page. Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, when claiming it, she stands up for all women. That sounds like Vashti. She stands up and she got put down. Now they have these two, I'm not even going all the information. They have these two women, you know, dyke haircut, women pastors, that are having a huge conference to try and, you know, push and educate. You know, why do they have to do that? Oh yeah, because all the men left them, I remember. Because they're not married. Because of all the other horrible abominations that are happening. Hip hop culture is ruining their culture, ruining their society, ruining these families, destroying their fabric, and then they're being mentally enslaved by the church that they go to. The church that they're going to is trying to say, oh, oh, the victimization of the police. You know, I wish they would get up and read all the statistics on it. That's fine with me, I did. I think it would change a couple people's attitude. Maybe they should start a swimming program. But you know what, they should start as a soul winning program. But you know what, these false prophets don't care. And they're taking advantage of people. Let me give you a couple more icons, you know, these feminist icons. How about Dr. King's wife? Coretta Scott King. You know, she spoke out on the racial and economic injustice. The title of this article is called 14 Black History Icons Who Changed the World and Didn't Eat Meat. What a weird name. Mrs. King spoke out on behalf of racial and economic justice, women's and children's rights, gay and lesbian dignity. There is no dignity. Religious freedom. Why would a Christian advocate for religious freedom? Like why, I hope that Muslims get a chance to have religious freedom. Why would you say that? Shut them down, you know. The needs of the poor and the homeless, full employment, healthcare, educational opportunities, nuclear disarmament, and ecological sanity. This is what she was advocating for. She was also advocating for animal rights. Because, you know, they're so non-violent that they can't kill any animals. It's like those PETA warriors who put roses on the steak that I cook, you know, when I go to the grocery store. I'm like, sweet, I don't even have to buy flowers for my wife now. It's like a double win. I hope they do that everywhere. You know, that's great. But, look, and I have way more than I wanted. I'm out of time. But through language, politics, and religions, there's a mental enslavement happening to black people today, and it's frustrating. And you know, it's not just black people. It's affecting all kinds of people. They're trying to enslave the stupid. They're trying to enslave people. They're trying to deeducate them. They're trying to race bait them. And you know, these churches are probably the worst. Go over to Colossians chapter three, this last verse I'll have you turn to. We should stop playing the race game and just become a Christian. Why can't everybody just become a Christian today? You know, who cares about being white, or black, or Native American? You know, I'm not even that white, okay? If I go out in the sun too much, I'll turn really brown. Like, so scary brown, they might not think I'm white anymore, okay? And my wife in the summer, she'd call me her little Mexie, you know, because I'd get so dark, you know? And I don't know what it's from, but I know that, you know, like everybody, I have a Cherokee grandmother or whatever. I guess they really got around, but. You know, I'm not gonna sit here and say, oh, I'm one of the first Native American, half Greek, you know, pastor, who cares about all that stuff? You know, all these politicians, they get up, I'm the first, like, half Native American Cherokee, Indian, Asian, you know, quarter black person, that's a woman, that's 63, to stand right here, and you're like, who cares? Elizabeth Warren, you don't look like a Native American. I'm more Native American than her, and I'm not gonna, you know, go around bragging about it. Who cares? Who cares what culture? You know, this is the only culture that matters, Christ. Everything else will be forgotten. What culture matters? Being a Christian. Look at Colossians chapter three, verse nine. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image him that created him. Where there's neither Greek, nor Jew, circumcision, nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bond, nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Look, who cares about all this stuff? You know, the world is trying to use this information to enslave people, and we need to rise above and not get enslaved. And we need to liberate people by preaching the gospel and getting them saved, and preaching them the truth. And you say, why preach a sermon like this? Well, you know what? The devil is trying to enslave the whole world. And, you know, as much as I think this is an important issue, the most important issue is that people are being enslaved with a false gospel, and with false hope of salvation. And we have to go out there and we have to preach the gospel. If you really care about slavery so much, if you really want to end slavery, it's by going out this weekend and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. And if you really care about black people, go in the black ghetto with me and preach the gospel. We went there today, and we got a lot of, unfortunately we got a lot of Hispanic people saved only. But, you know what? Hey, they got saved, praise the Lord. And you know what? We should keep going to these neighborhoods and keep going to these areas, and we should never get this ideology of trying to be segregated, or wanting to be segregated, or feeling distance from them, or letting CNN, or letting the government cause you to be a little bit more sheepish to talk to someone just because they're black. Now, I feel like a lot of people are, there's this race tension that exists out there because of what the world's doing. We need to bridge that gap. We need to come and meet them, and come across onto their side, and be kind, and loving, and compassionate, and with a tear in the eye, and reach across the aisle, and to love these people, and to educate them. Close in prayer. Thank you, Father, so much for your word. Thank you for letting us be set free today of all the lies and all the deception. And I pray that everyone in this room would stop worrying about where they came from, and their culture, and all these things that man has created, and worships, and idealizes, and rather just accept Christ into their heart, into their culture, just becoming a Christian, becoming a fundamentalist, becoming separated, getting the law of God deep into their heart. And I pray that we could motivate the people that are out in the world to come and join us, and to start a Christian culture. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
