Will he give him a stone or if he ask a fish? Will he give him a serpent if he then being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children? How much more shall your father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you do you even so to them for this is law and the prophets Enter ye in at the straight gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be Which go in there at Because straight is the gate and narrows the way which leads them to life and few there be they find it They were a false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing, but in really they're ravening wolves You shall know them by their fruits do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit But a corrupt tree bring it for evil fruit a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them Not everyone that say them to me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven But he that do with the will of my father, which is in heaven Many will say to me in that day Lord Lord Have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils and in thy name have done many wonderful works And then while I profess unto them, I never knew you depart from me you either work iniquity therefore whosoever heareth Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and do with them I will take liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon a rock and the rain ascended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell not for it was founded upon a rock and everyone that heareth these sayings of mine and do with them not Shall be likened unto a foolish man Which build his house upon the sand and the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell and great was the fall of it and it came to pass when Jesus had ended these sayings the people were astonished at His doctrine for he had taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes Let us pray dear Lord. Please be with pastor today. Let us get something free message and leave with us all when Jesus and I pray And so you're there in Matthew chapter 7 and I'm preaching a sermon on Basically knowing them by their fruits and this is something that preached on before going through the book of Matthew But I've never done a whole sermon on at least. I don't think I have I don't see any Kind of looked up to see what I had preached on when it comes to this But when it comes to fruits, obviously, there's a lot of there's a lot of preachers out there and even save preachers That will basically equate fruits with works and they'll say well, you know We'll know whether someone's saved by their fruits because Bible says we'll know them by their fruits. Well One fruits doesn't mean works because the Bible actually uses the terminology of the the fruit of thy works So work is something that you do the labor fruit is the product Okay now in the Bible the term fruit can mean depending on the context something different, right? It's the product of something the fruit of the womb is his reward The Bible says and the fruit of you know, basically husband and wife is a baby right so it's a person and But there's different types of fruit. I preach a whole sermon on the fruit of righteousness Right and how that equates to the effect of righteousness Which is the outcome of being righteous or certain things happening to you? Peace and long life and different things like that as far as if you do good Then there is a product that comes from that if you do evil There's a product that comes from that in this passage though when people try to use this term You shall know them by the fruits. They just rip it out of context and say well, we're talking about Christians we're talking about like knowing a saved person by their fruits and In knowing whether someone's saved by their fruits, but let's look at the context. Look look at verse 15 there Beware of false prophets Which come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves you shall know them by their fruits Now let's stop right there Them is what you know, it's referring back to something, right? It's referring back to who? Saved person someone just got saved, you know a Christian Is that what it's referring to or is it referring to a false prophet? Okay So in context when people try to use this idea like well, I'm a fruit inspector brother You know, I'm gonna I'm inspecting your fruit to see whether you're saved It's like well in context. This is talking about false prophets. Now. I believe that Jesus gives Basically, we're gonna be talking about false prophets and comparing that to good prophets, right? So the actual good prophets that are preaching right but know this that when we're talking about knowing them by the fruits We're talking about prophets. We're not just talking. I don't believe we're just talking about You know any unsaved person here okay, and When it gives the converse to that when he talks about the good tree I don't believe we're just talking about saved people in general We're talking about false prophets and what's the opposite of false prophet a good prophet, right? Now let's keep reading here and let me read the the whole You know passage you're dealing with this knowing them by their fruits And I'm gonna explain to you what I believe the fruits are And we're gonna be getting into another passage to where You know, it kind of deals with this as well But really you're gonna see in Matthew 7 Matthew 12 where it's gonna be mentioned and you're also gonna see it in Luke chapter 6 now we just got done with going through Luke chapter 6 and I kind of just Breeze through that real quick because I knew I was gonna be doing a whole sermon on this But but basically that's where you're gonna see this idea of knowing them by their fruits But we're dealing with false prophets. That's the premise know. So it says in verse 7 and verse 16 Or actually, let's just keep reading. Let's read there in verse 15 to begin with beware of false prophets Which come to you and sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves so in context are we just talking about false prophets in general or are we talking about False prophets that are coming in sheep's clothing, right? So The whole reasoning of why how you can know them because if there's a false prophet and they're not wearing sheep's clothing Then you don't really need to look at their free. Do you? You're just like well, they're a false prophet. I mean, it's straight up a wolf standing over there, right? But if they're in sheep's clothing, that means that they're looking like they're they're actually a brother They look like they're saved and then at that point there's a way that you can look at them and figure out is this is this really a is this really a True Christian here or is this a false prophet? Okay, but then it goes on to say you shall know them by their fruits Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Okay, so he's just kind of giving you a comparison here that if you're gonna go get grapes You're not gonna go to a thorn bush okay, and Obviously grapes and figs are good fruit Thorns and thistles not okay Obviously, that's the curse that's put on the earth and then it goes on to say in verse 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit Verse 18 a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is shewn down and cast into the fire whereby Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them Now the thing that to note here and I think it's very important that if we're gonna look at this and say what's this fruit? How do we know whether they're false prophet? What is the fruit? You have to understand that a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit So that's gonna take a lot of stuff out of the equation, right? Okay, you say well that's works, you know their works Okay. Well, let me ask you a question Christian, you know those that are that are sole winners. Do you ever do anything that's wrong? Are you gonna say that you're not a good tree then because obviously if we say that we have no sin We deceive ourself in truth. It's not in us Can it can a false prophet not do anything good like at all they can't like do anything good Okay Well, so that can't be the measure of what the fruit is. But second of all like works aren't fruit. It's the product of something But is it things that we say You know, is it based off that and I'm gonna be getting into that later because there is a passage where it It's kind of talking about this on top of this but The thing they understand is that if a good tree can't bring forth evil fruit. What is that fruit? You know if a if a in a corrupt tree can't bring forth good fruit. What's the fruit? okay, and Notice that right after it states this What's it say about these people? These are people are obviously not saved It says in verse 21 not everyone that said to me unto me Lord Lord shall enter in the kingdom of heaven But he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven many will say to me in that day Lord Lord Have we not what? Prophesied in thy name. Here's your wolf in sheep's clothing. Okay, they're obviously The wolf in sheep's clothing is not someone like preaching like some other religion It's not like a Muslim Okay, we're talking about someone that's claiming to be Christian claiming the name of Christ preaching in the name of Christ These are preachers that are that that people are gonna look to and think that person's a Christian that person's say that person believes the Bible okay, but But what's the Bible say it says they're gonna say have we not prophesied in thy name and thy name have cast out devils And then they named them many wonderful works and then will I profess unto them I never knew you depart from ye that work iniquity now Obviously people try to take this and say well you can lose your salvation Well, the Bible says Jesus says I never knew you and he says he said, you know, my sheep hear my voice and I know them And they follow me and I give unto them eternal life so If he if anybody ever believed it says he know what them that trust in him So if someone ever trusted in him, that means he knew him at one point That means that they were never saved. These people were never saved. These aren't people that lost their salvation They were never saved and by the way They didn't do the will of the Father and this is the will of him that sent me that Everyone would see it the son and believed on him may have everlasting life and I'll raise him up the last day That's the will of the Father is that you believe on the son. They didn't do it. They didn't even claim it They're just saying we didn't we prophesy in your name didn't we cast out devils didn't we? Do many wonderful works and Jesus says I never knew you so when you're dealing with these people the people that work iniquity, by the way, is These people here are a Certain group of people. Okay workers of iniquity those that work iniquity. We're not dealing with the typical sinner here We're dealing with people that are corrupt trees That are what the Bible calls reprobate, okay now What what fruit are we talking about? Well go to go to Proverbs 11 Proverbs 11 and verse 30 Proverbs 11 and verse 30 I want you to look at this verse. I know you you've heard this verse many times, but once you look at it And I just want you to think about this simply okay, what's the fruit of an apple tree An apple what's the fruit of a fig tree a fig What's the fruit of a person another person a baby, right? So when you think about the fruit of something it's very simple what it is, right It's the product of that plant. It's the product of that person. It's the Basically the duplication if you will of that Okay and so But notice what it says here in verse 30 Proverbs chapter 11 verse 30 It says the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life Okay. So what is the fruit of the righteous now? This isn't fruit of righteousness. This is the fruit of the righteous Okay, you say well, you know, are we righteous, you know, who's righteous Well, the Bible says that they have imputed his righteousness unto us and he's declared us righteous by what faith So By faith, we are the righteous because the the righteous the just the just is just another term for righteous The just shall live by what faith? So the fruit of the righteous meaning a saved person someone that's been declared righteous is what a tree of life okay, and And what I'm gonna say to you the the next portion here is talking about the same thing but Mentioning it in different different terms. Okay, it says and he that when his souls is wise, okay so the fruit is what we're winning right that the fruit is what the souls the tree of life and we're winning that by producing that and When we win souls, that's why I saw winning is a biblical term Okay, but when we win someone of Christ, that's our fruit Okay, and go to go to Isaiah 61 you say all you know your tree of tree of light Well, Matthew 7 is is calling there's good trees and there's corrupt trees Okay So this is biblical that that a saved person would be likened unto a tree. Okay, and The fruit is gonna will show you what type of tree it is Now just because an apple tree doesn't actually bring forth apples doesn't mean it's not an apple tree, okay So if someone's not bearing fruit doesn't mean they're not saved doesn't mean that they're not a good tree. Okay? But you can't really know for sure right? I mean you can there's there's things you can look at and look at the leaves look at the bark Look at all these different things, but if it's not bearing forth a tree, it's not super evident. Like that's an apple tree, right and When it says When it says every tree that bringeth not forth good for you to tune down and cast into the fire It's talking about those bringing forth evil fruit. Okay, it's not talking about like if if you're a good tree that doesn't bring forth fruit It's talking about that you're bringing forth evil fruit. Okay, meaning the fruit that you're bringing forth isn't good, right? Another way to look at that is if you're bringing forth fruit and it's not good You're gonna be hewn down and cast into the fire because that means your fruit is evil Okay, if you're not bringing forth any fruit then obviously you're not productive you're not profitable, okay I remember in my parents backyard. We had this pear tree And just never brought forth anything And it was just this worthless pear tree in the backyard I think every once in a while like I think it got trimmed at one point and it started bringing forth some pears a little Bit and then like something happened to it. It fell over or something. I forget what happened to it but Anyway, all that to say is that doesn't mean it wasn't a pear tree though. It was a pear tree. Okay, but but go to Isaiah 61 and what I want you to show you here is that We're called trees of righteousness, okay So when it comes to the fruit of the righteousness of the tree of life this makes sense because we're bringing forth that grown own kind right and And That's what says here in Isaiah 61 in verse 1 It says the Spirit of Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the me He has sent me to bind up the broken heart and proclaim liberty to the captives and opening of the prison to them that are Found to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord in the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all that mourn So obviously this is talking about Jesus the New Testament You know in Luke 4 actually Jesus quotes off a lot of this passage and says that it's been fulfilled right except for the day of the Lord But it says in verse 3 It says to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion to give unto them beauty for ashes the oil of joy for mourning the garment of praise for the Spirit of heaviness That they might be called the trees of righteousness the planting of the Lord that he might be glorified Okay, so the idea of say people being called trees of righteousness or a tree of life Makes a lot of sense actually go to Galatians chapter 6 Galatians chapter 6 So when we're talking about the fruit of a Christian the fruit of a Christian is another Christian just simple as that You say well, I haven't won anybody well that doesn't mean you're not a Christian but When it comes to bearing fruit, that's what we're talking about. We're not talking about your good works We're not talking about you come in the church Now do good works that there that's not fruit in itself But you will end up having fruit for doing good works and that's you know, it could be a blessed life It could be you know health It could be you know It could even be wealth that God could give you just because that's the fruit of righteousness. It's a fruit of doing good. Okay? Now in the world the fruit of doing good sometimes is persecution and tribulation, isn't it? So when you're dealing with fruit, it depends on the context depends on what you're talking about but if you're talking about a Christian the person as a Christian their fruit is another Christian and Galatians chapter 6 here in verse 7 Galatians chapter 6 and verse 7 Be not deceived God is not mocked for whatsoever man, so it that shall he also reap So what are we talking about here we're talking about sowing and reaping okay, and It makes sense when you think about what are we reaping we're reaping trees of life, right? We're you know reaping these trees of righteousness So the idea is in order for that to be reaped you have to plant it Okay, it says for he that soweth to his flesh shall reap of his flesh reap corruption So if you live if you if you walk after the flesh, you're gonna reap corruption That's the fruit of walking in in the in the flesh is corruption but he that soweth to his to the spirit shall of the spear reap life everlasting and Let us not be weary in well-doing for in due season. We shall reap if we faint not now Unsafe people will look at this and say well see you need to do all this You need to not be weary in well-doing so you can get everlasting life and go to heaven Right, and they're just like completely spiritually discern and not knowing that he that believes on the Sun hath everlasting life and it's not about Sowing anything or anything like that. We're talking about Reaping life everlasting because every time you win someone to Christ, what are you reaping a tree of life? That's the fruit of a righteous is the tree of life So therefore every single time someone gets saved What do they get if you got everlasting life when you believe what do they get everlasting life? So every time you win someone to Christ boom everlasting life You're reaping everlasting life and you know what it's stating here It says let us not be weary in well-doing for in due season We shall reap if we faint not go to Psalm 126 Psalm 126 Psalm 126 in verse 5 Psalm 126 verse 5. I know this is more like a Bible study because it is okay, but This is really just nailed down. What are we dealing with when we're dealing with the fruit here in Matthew chapter 7? We're dealing with The product of the person themselves, okay, so the product of a false prophets gonna be corrupt fruit The product of a good prophet or a good tree, right is Going to be good fruit. It's gonna be you know, what what I'm showing you here, which is whether the fruit What is the fruit of the righteous a tree of life? We're gonna be called the trees of righteousness Because when someone gets saved, what do they get they get everlasting life and they get righteousness imputed unto them, don't they? So for for someone's for to say that your fruit is the tree of life or it's the tree of a tree of righteousness that makes perfect sense because that person is now made righteous and they now have eternal life and That is your fruit And notice what says and so in Galatians 6 when it says let us not be weary in well-doing for in due season We shall reap if we faint not notice what says in Psalm 126 in verse 5 It says they that sow in tears shall reap in joy He that goeth forth and weepeth bearing precious seed shall doubtless come again with rejoicing Bringing his sheaves with him. So that's why I saying don't faint don't be weary and well-doing Just keep going because you're gonna if you go for we fourth weeping Meaning you have compassion and you go with bearing precious seed That means the work the incorruptible seed of the Word of God You're going forth with that you will doubtless come again with rejoicing. You're going to get someone safe. That's what the Bible's teaching Just keep going. You're like I have been going out for you know months and I haven't just keep going Don't be weary and well-doing for a due season You shall reap and what you'll find is after you win that first person It's gonna be a lot easier the second time and the third time and the fourth time And listen if you win one person in your whole life, that's more than most Christians The majority of Christians aren't winning anybody But obviously if you win one person, why not two why not three? Why not four? Why not just keep going? No, and go to John chapter 4 John chapter 4 John chapter 4 John chapter 4 and I'm going to show you another place where talks about reaping life everlasting So between obtaining everlasting life, which is by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and there's another thing on reaping it, okay and That's what we're called to do. We're called to Reap life everlasting to go out and sow and plant and water so that someone will get saved. So someone will Someone else will believe on Christ as you know If you have therefore received the gift even so minister the same one to another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God Meaning you got saved. Why not? Show someone else so they can get saved and that's your fruit now in John 4 and verse 35 Jesus is speaking here. It says say not ye there are yet four months then cometh harvest So he's basically saying, you know, obviously, you know, you say you plant and then there's four months and then harvest That's the typical way that you're gonna do things, right? It says but behold I say to you lift up your eyes and look on the fields for they are white already to harvest Now he's not talking about a physical field. Is he? He's kind of alluding to a physical harvest or physical like crop if you will but then he's saying but You know basically lift up your eyes because it's already it's ready to harvest and right now Listen, the fields are white on the harvest. They're ready to harvest There's not you don't have to wait and be like, alright. Well, we got to wait for that crop to get ready No, there's people out there right now that are ready to reap for you to reap and for you to To get saved and to bear fruit. Notice what it says in verse 36 and he that reapeth receiveth wages Notice that you receive wages now is salvation a wage or is it a gift? You know the wages of sin is death right that's what you that's what you earn right But you know if it's by works You have where of the glory but not before God Because then it's by it's by debt, right? They owe you know God owes you salvation if it's by a wage if it's like some wage that you've earned No wages is something you earn because of your work, right? You're laboring you get a wage and gathers fruit unto what life eternal Listen one one thing that can never be taken away from you. Okay is someone that you won the Christ This is as much as salvation can't be taken away from you and That you know, if we come on to him, he'll know wise cast us out Listen everybody did you win the Christ that receives everlasting life that is for that's forever and that fruit will last forever but that that is the fruit is the you know, you're gonna receive wages you're receiving a reward and You know, I'm gonna be preaching a whole sermon on crowns as well here soon, maybe next week But it talks about people that we win the Christ as being our glory and crown and something that is gonna be there forever Listen the people that you win in Christ will be in heaven forever and you'll be forever Rejoicing that they got saved and I'm sure they're gonna be forever rejoicing that you won them The Lord right and so that's something that's gonna last forever But it says gathering fruit unto that life eternal and both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together So there may be a different person sowing than the person reaping right because some can sow the word But then there may need to be watering that occurs there Then the person that's reaping but we're all in this together. We're all laboring together No So says herein is that the true saying one so with another reap it I sent you to reap that whereon you bestowed no labor Other men labored and you are entered into their labors meaning this is that there's people that have already sowed the word to certain people and then you come along and You're watering it and you get to reap it And that's just the fact of the matter right and there's gonna be times where you sow the word They don't get saved and then someone else comes by and reaps well, we're all laborers together We're all gonna get a reward and our wages concerning our work Based off of that notice in first Corinthians chapter 3 dealing with this as well Now when we're talking about this fruit that you're gathering We're talking about people believing okay this sowing and reaping watering planting Why are we doing it so we can get fruit, right? That's the whole point. Why do you have a garden? So you can get produce right? I mean you think of the produce stand You know, I mean, I guess you could say well you plant flowers because they're beautiful or whatever but in the end Flowers aren't gonna really I mean I get well I guess you could look at it this way the flowers will help the bees pollinate so you can get honey So I found you know, there's a reason for flowers. Okay, besides I'm being pretty but So anyway, but in the end, you know, like obviously you're planting something to gather fruit. Okay? But in where'd I have you turn in the first Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 5 it says Who that is Paul on who's a Paulist but ministers by whom you what believe even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted a Paulist water, but God gave the increase So when we're planting and watering, what do we what's the whole purpose so that this person will believe right? And if we're planting and watering what do we what are we trying to do? We're trying to gather fruit under life eternal Not for our own salvation not for our own eternal life, but for theirs. Okay, it says in verse 7 So then neither is he that planteth anything neither he that watereth But God that giveth the increase now he that planteth and he that waterth are one and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor So notice that what's the fruit here when you think about Until his own labor while the fruit would be someone believing right the the person that got saved but the reward also just be that safe person in general that believed and Go to go to first Corinthians chapter 4 first Corinthians chapter 4 So when we're talking about fruit, what are we talking about? We're talking about those that you win the Christ But what I want to show you here is that those that we win the Christ are technically our children in the faith okay, now if my children are the fruit of Holly and I right The fruit of us physically in our marriage is our children So You know that you can look at that and say I am a human being right obviously You see that well and nowadays you can say well They're actually a man and a woman, you know Because they can produce okay, because in this weird bending world that we live in You don't know who's who anymore but that's the fruit of us right the fruit of the womb and they are a Product of us and they look like us they they're a human being like us, right? We didn't give birth to turtles or birds Or anything like that. Okay, we gave you know, my wife gave birth to human beings and That's the product Notice what's the first green over 14 it says I write not these things to shame you but as my beloved sons I warn you now Paul is not married and he doesn't have physical children that we know of But notice he's gonna he's gonna clarify what he means by beloved sons. It says verse 15 for though you have 10,000 instructors in Christ Yet have you not many fathers for in Christ Jesus. I have begotten you through the gospel So he called them Sons because he won them to Christ. Okay. So what's the fruit of Paul? Those people right there, right? That's his fruit He's a good prophet and his fruit is that he won these people to Christ and he's begotten them through the gospel Go to Philemon 1, Philemon 1 and verse 10 Philemon 1 and verse 10 and I'm I'm gonna read to you just just some When you begin 1st Timothy and you when you begin Titus 1st Timothy 1 2 says unto Timothy my own son in the faith Titus 1 4 says to Titus my own son after the common faith So notice how he uses this term like his son his son his son his beloved sons But what is he talking about in the faith? Okay, notice it says in Philemon 1 10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus whom I have begotten in my bonds You gotten him how through the gospel He got saved and that's the whole premise of that that book is the fact that he's returning unto him Not only a servant in the flesh, but in the Lord that he saved now, but that's the fruit of Paul now The big thing to understand here go to go to Romans chapter 1 verse 16 16 is that when it says a corrupt tree cannot bring forth good fruit When you understand that that's getting someone saved someone believing a convert if you will to believe on Christ The corrupt we can't do that. I mean Hey Judas was a corrupt tree And listen, by the way Unsaved people that aren't even a corrupt tree Can't get anybody saved By the way, an unsaved person can't just read the Bible and get saved Because the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God and What the Bible teaches is how shall they hear without a preacher, you know, the Ethiopian eunuch said Or Philip said to the Ethiopian eunuch understand this without readest as he's reading Isaiah 53 and he says how can I accept some man should guide me and this is why because in Romans 1 and verse 16 it says for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believe it to the Jew first and also to the Greek For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith as it is written the just shall live by faith So, how do you become a tree of righteousness? How do you become a tree of life by faith in Christ Jesus? but how do you how do you understand that how does that reveal to you from faith to faith a Saved person a believer has to give someone else the gospel for that person to believe And just like Paul and Apollos it mentions I want you know, I planted a Paul's water, but God gave the increase and It says, you know, basically who are we who's Paul and who's Apollo's but ministers by whom you believe which God had given to every man Even as even as the Lord gave to every man so Gonna be people that are gonna have zero chance of getting saved No, God has dealt a measure of faith to every man. The Bible says that he had a ministers To for every person for them to get saved If he has to he'll send an angel to tell you to go call for somebody like Cornelius And so what's the fruit of a Christian another Christian Getting someone say Someone a convert meaning someone that believes on Christ. What's the fruit of a false prophet? Same thing a convert but not a convert to believe on Christ. Let's go to Matthew chapter 23 Matthew chapter 23. I Don't believe this is talking about The fruit as far as Says or their doctrine Okay, because I want you to think about this and I'm gonna get it to get to the verses that would allude to maybe that's what? This is talking about as well But I want I want to state this is that There's a ton of unsafe people that have said false doctrines and said things that were wrong that were damnable heresies Got saved. Okay So I don't believe they were a corrupt tree. Okay? And there's safe people that say some really bad stuff But there's they're still saved right, but they said something that has some really bad doctrine, right? The Bible says that a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit So if the evil fruit is like some kind of like thing that you're saying or anything like that That would make sense right because then not no one's a good tree Right, that's the case But if you're talking about converts Okay, that makes sense, right? You have to be saved in order to get someone else say because the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith So how could someone that doesn't believe bring someone to faith? It's impossible, right? But I also believe it's impossible for a safe person to actually produce evil fruit. Okay, and what is that? Go to Matthew 23 and verse 15 Matthew 23 and verse 15 Matthew 23 and verse 15 says well I want to use scribes and Pharisees hypocrites For you can pass sea and land and make to make one proselyte Now what's a proselyte? A proselyte is basically a convert, right? A convert Someone that they converted to their religion or whatever. So when you're talking about a proselyte it could be for anything, right? I mean you could say that we have proselytes, you know Because we have converts and all that but basically they're compassing sea and land to make one proselyte So they're they're going far and wide to convert people to what they believe to their religion or whatever, you know they're trying to follow right and But notice what it says here and when he is made You make him twofold more the child of hell than yourself So what are you dealing with here? You're dealing with children of hell. Now listen When it comes to unsaved people, when you're looking at this passage here, you're dealing with two extremes You're dealing with children of God, which is the good trees, and you're dealing with children of the devil Which are the corrupt trees. In the middle, okay, those are on the extremes. In the middle You just have unsaved people, okay And in that you say well you are are they a child of hell well these people are twofold Okay, twofold more than children of hell than themselves Now you can look at hell could be could be its own moniker, you know, its own its own statement The Bible says about unsaved people that they're called the children of wrath the children of disobedience Because unto them which believe he is precious but unto them which be disobedient The stone which the builders disallowed the same is made the head the corner That they have not all obeyed the gospel for Esaias said Lord who hath believed our report So then faith comes by hearing and hearing about the word of God, right? So when you're talking about disobedience Those that don't believe the gospel right when you're dealing with the children of wrath He that believeth on the son hath everlasting life and he that believeth not the son shall not see the light But the wrath of God abideth on him meaning that those that don't believe the wrath of God is abiding on them Okay, so they would be called the children of wrath And I still you know, obviously fleshly speaking. I still believe right now My body is a child of disobedience a child of wrath physically speaking right because it still has sin It's still gonna die, right? But we had that promise That it's going to be regenerated, right? it's just a matter of time whether when Jesus comes or whether you know, I die and then You know, we're not gonna prevent them which are asleep meaning that's you know, the dead in Christ shall rise first so the body eventually will be manifest with the the children of God as far as inwardly speaking When we're dealing with this so what do we what's the fruit what's the fruit of a good prophet Say a person right? Everlasting life someone that believes on Christ someone that's been made righteous Someone that has obtained that has obtained eternal life by believing on Christ What's the fruit of these false prophets these Pharisees these scribes these hypocrites a proselyte? That's twofold more the child of health in themselves Okay. So what's the fruit of the Pharisees describes in the Pharisees? these twofold child of hell That's corrupt fruit my friends Now when it comes to false prophets go to go to Peter chapter 2 there's a whole chapter on false prophets Just just so you know that there's false prophets today right which obviously that should be evident but in second Peter chapter 2 and verse 1 it Says but there were false prophets also among people even as there shall be false teachers among you. Okay, so There's false prophets back then there'll be here today and Even in the end times talks about there's gonna be false. There's gonna be false Christ false prophets There's gonna be Antichrist, you know like there's gonna be all these different things that are gonna be out there until until Jesus comes back and It says who privately shall bring in damnable heresies even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction notice that these people Had the opportunity to be saved because the Lord had bought them because Jesus is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe So he bought every single person eat all the people that are in hell He bought them with a price, but they didn't believe on him It wasn't imputed unto them because they didn't believe but that's what it says in verse 2 and many shall follow the pernicious ways By reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of and through covetousness shall they with fain words Make merchandise of you whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not in their damnation slumbereth not so the idea of these false prophets is to get many people to follow their pernicious ways and basically to convert People to what they believe and what they're they're doing. Okay, so that's the fruit of a false prophet The Bible says in verse 17 there These are wells without water clouds that are carried with a tempest to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever So notice that wells without water clouds that are carried with a tempest in Jude In Jude 12 it says these are spots in your feast of charity actually go to Jude Jude in verse 12 there Jude verse 12 Because what was that what was the proselyte called In Matthew 23, it was called a twofold child of hell Okay What does it say here in Jude 12? It says these are spots in your feast of charity when they feast with you feeding themselves without fear Clouds they are without water sound familiar to second Peter Carried about of winds trees whose fruit withereth without fruit twice dead plucked up by the roots Raging waves of the sea foaming out their own shame wondering stars of whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever So we're dealing with these reprobates that basically they're dead men walking, but it says that their fruit is withered fruit Twice dead Even without fruit so when it says those that bringeth not forth good fruit right without fruit twice dead Withered fruit, what are we dealing with here? We're dealing with these false prophets that are bringing forth corrupt fruit And what is their corrupt fruit a person that's twofold the child of hell? Someone that's twice dead and by the way being twice dead That means that there's no hope of salvation for that person The Bible says we're dead and trespasses is who had who had who he hath quickened who were dead and trespasses and sins But we were quickened what by what for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works with any man to boast We're quickened by the Spirit because we believed on Christ and it's by grace that we're saved But go to Hebrews chapter 6 Hebrews chapter 6 people that are twice dead There's no hope of salvation for that person Someone that's dead and trespasses and sins There's hope of salvation for that person. They need to believe on Christ but when you're dealing with these people These people are past the hope of salvation these corrupt trees They're they're they're made to be taken and destroyed right the Bible talks about them being brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed and notice what it says in Hebrew chapter 6 and verse 4 it says for it is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted The heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost and have tasted the good word of God and were me and the powers Of the world to come these are people that knew the truth and denied it These are the people that hold the truth and unrighteousness these are people that were never saved, but they knew it all they tasted of it They had all the information there, and they rejected it They turned from the Holy Commandment delivered unto them And they they're like the the dog turning is to his own vomit again And they rejected it and it says if they shall fall away meaning This is that if God if God basically darkens their eyes, and he hardens their heart That's what it says to renew them again unto repentance Seeing I'm sorry if they fall if they shall fall away to renew them again unto repentance seeing they crucify Themselves the Son of God afresh and put them to an open shame So when you're dealing with this it's impossible to renew these guys again unto repentance Why because they had to put Jesus to an open shame and crucify him afresh Let me ask you a question. Why would they have to crucify him afresh? Because they're twice dead. That's why If you're dead and trespasses the sins guess what Jesus died once for the sins of many Jesus died one time and read Hebrews because Hebrews says that many times over once for all and It's once forever, but listen if you're twice dead that means you need him to die again Right He already died for the one, but if you're twice dead that means he needs to be crucified afresh and Obviously that's not gonna happen Verse seven it says for the earth notice that it's gonna bring up fruit here it says for the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh off the pond it and Bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed receive a blessing from God. So we're dealing with herbs. That's good stuff, right? That's good fruit verse 8 but that which beareth thorns and briars is rejected notice What's rejected that which beareth? thorns and briars, right So what's the what's the the fruit is the thorns and briars but the people that are being rejected are those that are bearing thorns and briars What are they bearing people that are twice dead? This withered fruit, okay, and it says and is nigh unto cursing whose end is to be burned 2nd Samuel chapter 23 go to 2nd Samuel chapter 23 2nd Samuel chapter 23, so I just want to make it very clear when we're dealing with the fruit of a good tree What are we dealing with? We're dealing with you reaping save people you're you're getting people saved You're the fruit of the righteous is the tree of life and he that win his souls is wise So what's the fruit of the righteous winning a soul? Right winning someone to the Lord. That's the fruit of the righteous It's a tree of life because they've they now have eternal life. They're made righteous because they believed on Christ. That's your fruit Okay The fruit of this corrupt free this false prophet Because remember the whole point of why you're inspecting this fruit or why you're trying to look for this fruit is Because there are wolf in sheep's clothing. Okay, you're like I can't tell whether this is a wolf or not But if they're bringing forth a whole bunch of twice dead withered fruits Okay, then you can look at that for me like this person isn't this person's a false prophet This person is like trying to put the wool over our eyes. Okay? But in 2nd Samuel chapter 23, notice what it says in verse 6 just so you know When we're talking about bearing thorns and briars, what are we dealing with? Verse 6 it says but the sons of Belial shall be all of them as what? thorns thrust away So what is the thorns representing the sons of Belial Okay, it says in because they cannot be taken with hands But the man that that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear and they shall be utterly burned With fire in the same place. So what's the end of the thorns that are in and Hebrew chapter 6? That which bear thorns and briars is rejected and is nigh in the cursing whose end is to be burned What's the thorns and briars? Children of the devil that's what they are. What's your fruit if you're a saved person? children of God Because if you if you have sons in the faith, guess what? You know, you're all the children of God by what faith in Christ Jesus as many as received him to them be gave power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on his name Who so ever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God? What so ever is born of God over cometh the world and this is the victory that over cometh the world even our faith Who is he that over cometh the world that he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? It's by faith that you become a child of God and it's by you know Those that go out that are already believers that the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith and the just shall live by faith You're gonna win people by the gospel of Jesus Christ by preaching that they become children of God. They are now a tree of life They are the fruit of the righteous. They are the souls that are won when you go out soul winning. That's the fruit of righteous So if someone doesn't go out winning soul and when people are just like, you know, well, what's their fruit? It's like well come out solar with me. Let me let me see what your fruit is So When it comes to people listen the Bible says These things have written unto you that believe in the name of Son of God that you that ye may know that you have eternal Life the only person that you could really know a hundred percent sure whether they have eternal life is yourself Okay, because can you see someone's heart? Can you see what they believe? But I'll say this It was funny with that that I've literally saw win someone to Christ I see their fruit Let me let me let me just embarrass brother Dave for a second Okay, just because there's some fruit. That's that's over here. Okay Brother Dave won brother Denzel to the Lord. He stole the door from Richie, but you know Forgive that, you know, but I was with brother Dave but I was there I saw brother Denzel get saved and You say well, how do you know brother Denzel's good fruit because he's winning people to Christ, you know It's like I see his fruit and we are you so when it comes to that There's there's certain people. I'm just like man. I am like almost a hundred percent sure this person I mean it really have to be this deceiving thing for me to be like, yeah that person's not saved But then there's other people that I haven't seen win people to Christ and listen, I'm not saying you didn't win anybody Okay, I'm just saying I haven't personally seen that fruit right? I haven't seen you win someone Christ It doesn't mean that you're not saved. It's just that obviously I have I'm gonna have a lot more like I'd be a lot more shocked if Dave ended up being a wolf Okay, and sheep's clothing gonna be like what in the world right? What's going on? So when it comes to spotting the fruit that is that is you'll know Does that make sense? Like it's not just like I think I know Right kind of like that same idea like I know that I have eternal life because I believe therefore I know I'm saved I know I'm going to heaven I can know that but I can also know Whether someone's a good prophet or not by their fruit. I know it. Okay now go to Matthew chapter 12 This is brought up again and I'm gonna get into this this last portion here Dealing with what people say, okay Like a false prophet. Let's say a false prophet, you know, can you judge? Can you know whether someone's a false prophet other than their converts and I believe you can But I'll say this is that it's not as cut and dry. It's not as like for sure Okay, when it says you'll know them by their fruits Like it's like, you know, there's no doubt, you know, that person's a false prophet right or you know that that's a good prophet But there's other ways that you can judge and discern whether someone's a false prophet besides that right? Like I don't need to go up to Joel's team and be like, where's your fruit? Okay Because I know he's a false prophet because of what he preaches and says, right So this next portion here, I believe is something that's on like, okay, you have the fruit idea You can see their converts that you can know that way but there's something else you can use To kind of judge whether this person is is a false prophet or a good prophet. Okay, Matthew chapter 12 verse 33 I Either make be good Good or else make the tree corrupt in his fruit corrupt for the tree is known by his fruit Okay, so that's a statement that's made and I believe Matthew 7 already covered that then it says old generation of vipers How can ye being evil speak good things for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh? So now I believe something else is being brought up besides the fruit That is stating. Okay. Well, but how can you speak good things being evil? It says a good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things But I say to you that every idle word that man shall speak they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment for by thy Words thou shalt be justified and by thy words that shall be condemned So I do believe that we can rightfully condemn somebody based off what they say, okay? But it's not as cut and dry, okay It's not as cut and dry as like seeing fruit. You're like, okay, like there's no doubt. I think you can have You know basically condemn someone based off what they say meaning when it comes to doctrine Or you can justify someone based off what they say, but let me read Luke 6 here And then I'm gonna get into explaining this a little more, but I just want to read both passages It says Luke 6 43 for a good tree bringeth not forth good fruit I'm sorry for a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit for every tree is known by his own fruit for Thorns men do not gather figs nor of a bramble bush Gather they grapes a good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good and an evil man out Of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil and of the abundance of the heart his mouth Speak it now what we're dealing with here is not the fruit of the person themself, but the fruit of the heart Okay, so two different types of fruits here, and it doesn't say fruits So, you know, I'm just gonna say that, you know, I think the principle of fruit is there Okay, because you're bringing forth something but it doesn't say fruit. It just says that you know, they're bringing out of their heart, right? What you're dealing with here is like the fruit of the lips Okay, so the fruit of the lips is different than the fruit of a Christian, right and So I believe that God is saying okay, you can know by their fruits you can know by their converts Okay, but you can also Look at something else, right and those who it says in Well in Hebrew chapter 13 verse 15, you don't have to turn there but it says but him therefore by him Therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually. That is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Okay, so so Again, context matters as far as what we're talking about. Okay, a Good tree brings forth good fruit. Okay The tree itself, but if you're talking about the heart of that tree It also at the abundance of the heart is going to bring forth So when you're dealing with let's say a false prophet, let me just put it on the bottom here a false prophet Eventually, it's gonna come out what they believe. Okay, and Go to Matthew chapter 13, Matthew chapter 13, I was actually gonna in Ecclesiastes 5 I'm just gonna read this Ecclesiastes 5 3 says for a dream for a dream cometh The multitude of business and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words the more that that The more you're going to see whether what that what that false prophet actually believes Listen, there are false teachers out there. I'll give you John Piper for example John Piper has a whole video where he's asked about what someone has to do to be saved and everything he says is right To I mean, obviously there's things I would nitpick. Okay, but he says by faith his eternal life all that, right? It's just by the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ not by works Anything like that, but then there's another video Where he's literally saying that if someone if this woman doesn't move out from living with her boyfriend. She's going to hell Someone that was already supposed to be a believer But she needs to turn from that or she's going to hell So you're gonna deal with with false prophets they're speaking out both sides of their mouth, okay at one point They're gonna say something right and then another point they're gonna say something Corrupt and evil right when it comes to rat poison, for example, most of rat poison if you got if you bought rat poison It's good food, but there's always that little bit of poison in there That's going to kill the rat, okay So when you're dealing with false prophets, there may be a lot of things they're saying that's like, well, that's right. That's right I mean, that's not wrong I mean they said that you should do good unto others and they'll quote off a verse says well they said that I mean How could they be wrong? How could there be a false prophet? I mean, they said something right Well Caiaphas said something right and Balaam said something right, but they're both false prophets burning in hell right now and They were false prophets when they said it But the thing that you have to understand is that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speak it and what I believe When it comes if you're gonna judge a false prophet You have to get the abundance of what they're saying like a multitude of their words and compare it and be like, okay They said all these good things over here But what about all this garbage right and when people try to justify false prophets, they always look at the good stuff, right? They're like, well look at this video. I mean, it looks right to me Like well, what about all this stuff over here? That's completely opposite what he said Okay, and it's where it's gonna take discernment to see what you're dealing with there go to Matthew chapter 13, Matthew chapter 13 Okay, so the fruit is like the end-all proof. Okay, so get that Knowing a false prophet the fruit is the end-all proof, you know, like by the fruit you're gonna know them, right? But by what they say you can discern and judge but it's gonna maybe take a little more of like, okay I need to get all the information. I need to see like everything they say I may have to dig deeper and be like, okay they said this over here, but what they say over here and Then you have to discern that right now if someone just straight-up comes out and says you were saved by works just by faith Case closed. I mean like do you really need to go any further when you're looking at that person, right? If they just straight-up tell you it's by works then I mean false prophet but some people are sneaky and There are those wolves and sheeps clothing we're like, well it's by faith by grace but faith works You know if you believe then I Believe you're gonna do good works Like well, do you believe that or do you think they have to? Right and you're like it's real sly and sneaky and all that stuff as far as how far they go with that Calvinists are like that Like well, you know someone say he's gonna persevere in the end. What if they don't what if they whether they don't go to church Well, then, you know if they don't go to church and they're not safe. Well, they're a false prophet, you know, then they're saying it's by works You know and that's gonna take the sermon And you're looking at that as far as okay based off what they say because they could lie to you But why would they lie, you know, it's kind of like you're having to just trust what they're saying is what they actually believe But like I said, you know Out of the multitude of word the fool is known. Okay I Matthew 13 it dealing with the terrors and the wheat. I Want you to see something here verse 24. It says another pair But he forth unto them the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man which sowed goods seed in his field but while men slept his enemy came and so tears among the wheat went and went his way and when the blade was sprung up and Brought forth fruit. Okay, notice that The Blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit then appeared tears also So the servants of the household came and and said unto him, sir, this is not thou So good seed and I feel from whence then hath it tears now What I want you to notice here is how do they know whether it was we protect by the fruit if you ever look look up Look up images of wheat and tears and you'll see that they look very similar Right, if you're just a look at it as it's growing you'd be like you wouldn't be able to tell the difference usually I Mean a typical person fine. I can tell the difference Actually the typical person probably look at tears and think it's wheat Even when it has the fruit Because you're just maybe not well known with it, right? But when you see the fruit, it's very much evident now I looked up Okay, there there's plants that look similar, but they're different, right? There's this Manchino Tree, okay, and the fruit on it it means like a little apple, but it's also called like the Manchino De La Morte. I'm like that which basically means like little apple of death Okay So this tree Looks like an apple tree the leaves look like apples the fruit looks like an apple, but it's the most deadly fruit on planet Okay called a beach apple If you're ever on the beach and you see this beach apple you see these little apples You may think twice before you eat it because you'll probably die Like I mean that's just I mean what I've read about it I think Like the sap in the tree will kill you There's sap in the fruit Like it's like the most deadly fruit that's out there, but it looks like an apple the tree looks like an apple free I want you to think about this you have an apple tree and you have this Manchino like little apple of death tree Or the death tree as they call it They look very very similar right you look at the leaves and you're like oh the apple tree the bark looks like an apple tree The fruit kind of looks like an apple. It looks like an apple, right? But the fruit itself will kill this one will kill you this one will give you nutrients, right? And So when you're dealing with what people say for example, let me just the fruit itself, you know Right the fruit itself will tell you like that's that's that's the correct tree right that killed somebody This didn't right, you know like you know, okay, so don't be the guy that's like, okay. I'm gonna test this theory out but and that's I feel like a lot of Christians do they're just like well, I'm gonna see you know, and then they regret it but Knowing what they say and the stuff that's coming out of their mouth will be kind of like this if that trees growing up and You're like, okay. I see the bark. I see the leaves. I see all this stuff it looks like an apple tree, but That is actually a little different than this than an actual apple tree that leaf right there it looks similar but it's not There's like little things in it that Aren't what an apple leaf would look like an apple tree leaf would look right, right? How do you know whether that's that's an actual like death tree Or if that's an apple tree by knowing the good tree. Well If you're someone that grows apple trees and that's what you do for a living and you just around them all the time You know that bark inside and out, you know what that Apple looks like inside You know what that or do not the app But you know what the leaves look like inside and out and then you see that that that death tree And you're just like there's something messed up with that there's something it's little subtle things that are really messed up with that and Though though it looks like a good apple tree though that the fruit even may even look like it's good to eat. It'll kill you so the job I believe of a pastor and Christians is to know the truth so well and know, you know, obviously Jesus is the good vine right and where the branches know that good wine So well that you can spot those little differences that that are making that corrupt tree look similar Okay Without even seeing the fruit. Okay, because you may not see the fruit But guess what the sap on that tree will kill you even if you don't have the fruit You know the Bible says when it comes to these false prophets So basically it says in Matthew 15 verse 13 dealing with the Pharisees The Pharisees were offended he says but but he answered and said every plant which my Heavenly Father has planted shall be rooted up Let them alone. They be blind leaders of the blind into the blind lead the blind both shall fall into the ditch So when you think about Matthew chapter 7 Do you remember a verse where it says give not that which is holy unto the dogs now to cast you your pearls before swine? Lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you You know the Bible says with these people it's like every plant that he hasn't planted it's gonna be rooted up and he's like let Them alone basically don't cast your pearls before swine or you know that which is holy unto the dogs, you know, basically let them basically devour themselves and When it comes to the Pharisees Jesus even says and the last thing I'll show you here go to Matthew chapter 23 Jesus says of the Pharisees, so he's ripping their face off in this chapter about is Matthew 23 He's about to go on a tour day for talking about how their fruit is corrupt, you know They're they're making twofold child of hell proselytes and but before he says that knows what he says here In verse 1 it says then spake multitude into this disciples saying the scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses see all therefore Whatsoever they bid you observe that observe and do but do not ye after their works for they say and do not Is he not saying that there's things that they say that you should go do Right because the false prophet is gonna say good things that are if it's straight out of the Bible Listen, you listen to the Bible, right? Obviously, that's what he's talking about He said they're sitting in Moses seat meaning that you know If they if they're telling you to do something according to the law then do that which is going to law but they're hypocrites Because they don't actually do it, right? So can can a Pharisee say something good and right and they command something that's good, right? I mean by definition Jesus is saying that But their fruit is wicked their fruit is corrupt and He does say in Matthew 16 verse 12. It says to beware the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees, right and It says they finally understood that when he said the leaven assisted but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and the Sadducees, right? So you need to be aware of that but there are things that they can say that are right They can say like they could say it, you know, like this is what the law said. Well, that's right and true, right? But again out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh and I believe in the multitude of everything that they say That's where you're gonna see those little bits of reason in there And listen, the false prophets are trying to beguile the unstable souls Okay That person that doesn't know those differences that doesn't see those differences someone that's naive, right? Someone that's a novice and naive the babes in Christ that don't know doctrine really well to where they'd be like There's something wrong there and they see that there's something wrong there And that's why sometimes when if I call out somebody and you may say well, that's a little harsh pastor. That's a little harsh How do you know that that person is a false prophet? How do you know that person is wicked? Well, listen There There may be things that I see that are according to the Bible that you haven't read before okay, there may be things that just based off experience of seeing that happen and Seeing like I've heard that same people say the same exact thing and those people end up being wicked You know when it comes to I mean you think about like the false doctrines that seem you know frivolous, but they snowball to bigger things and Listen obviously I'm a man I can make mistakes and There's gonna be times. I'm sure maybe where I think someone's a false prophet I think someone's unsaved and maybe they are saying maybe they're not right But in the end when you're dealing with what people say and what they preach You can only go off what they say and preach and if I don't see their fruit, I can't know for sure But there are people that I've seen their fruit, you know when it comes to Peter Ruckman, I've seen his fruit and it's corrupt Okay, when you think of like John MacArthur I've seen his fruit. It's corrupt all his little minions that come after him James White his fruits corrupt I mean you can think about it because you can see they're little minions that come out and they all believe the same false doctrine And false gospel and work salvation to the core or they deny You know clear scriptures in the Bible and you can see the fruit be like that's a corrupt tree. That's a corrupt tree No doubt but you can also go off what they say and what they say is corrupt and they're out of the abundance of the heart their mouth speak it and so When you're dealing with these people, they're gonna agree to speak great swelling words of vanity having men's persons and admiration because of advantage Even if they do good listen the Bible says in Titus that I'm through the pure all things are pure But unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure, but even their mind and consciousness defile They profess they know God but it works they deny and being abominable and disobedient unto every good work reprobate It's not that a reprobate can't ever do anything. That's nice or like do anything That's according to law the difference is is that they're doing it for advantage They're doing it to gain advantage if they're nice to you It's because they're trying to get advantage of you trying to get you to trust them When you're dealing with corrupt trees, I'm talking about I'm not talking about unsafe people just general unsafe people Okay, I'm talking about reprobates I'm talking about corrupt trees is that when they say something They're probably doing it trying to rope in people and trying to deceive people when they say something good but ultimately they're gonna add that poison in there and You know just as much as that manchinal Death tree can look good. It's growing up. It looks good. The leaves look right the bark looks right It's like the deadliest tree that's out there. Okay, and Obviously if you see thorns and briars, you know, you're not in a good tree. Okay, so You know, I hope that makes sense I just wanted to preach a sermon on this when it comes to knowing them by the fruits is that I Personally believe when it says that it's talking about their converts Talk about what they're producing when it's talking about You know out of a good treasure of a good man's heart and basically out of the bun is the mouth speaking I believe that's a way that we can discern it but it's not as concrete as the fruit Okay, the fruit is the end-all you know, that's corrupt Like you know it the other way you can justify and condemn people based off of it But it's gonna take a lot more it's gonna take the abundance of what they're saying It's gonna take a lot more of like out of the multitude of words You know that'll kind of justify condemn them. Okay, so just something to think about there Let's end with a word of prayer. The only follow that we think of today. Thank you for your word Thank you for these passes and I pray to be with us as we go out soul winning and Lord We love you in pray else in Jesus Christ name.
