Amen You're there in Revelation chapter 22 and we are obviously Concluding our series through the book of Revelation. So hopefully it's been a good study and it's been simple It's been easy to be understood. Obviously. We were getting into some complex things throughout the book of Revelation But this is the finale and this is the last thing that we have written in the Bible And it's a lot of good stuff in here and a lot of stuff that I could go even further with when it comes to what said here, but I Want to get through the whole chapter and not belabor any specific point but this is really coming from chapter 21 where we're dealing with New Jerusalem coming out of heaven and we're dealing with the new heaven new Earth and this is just a continuation. So if you think about Revelation 21 22 is being the same thing I mean, it's obviously put into two chapters, but it's just one continuous thought and it just keeps flowing Into chapter 22 and verse 1 here. It says and he showed me a pure river of water of life clear as crystal proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb and in the midst of the street of it and on either side of the river was there the tree of life which bear 12 manner of Fruits and yielded her fruit every month and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations So we see that there obviously we saw the dimensions of the city and we saw the gates and we saw You know, basically the wall and all that stuff now we're talking about some other things that are in the city and Notice that it talked about this river of life that's flowing and proceeding out of the throne of God and if you remember when we were talking about the throne of God and other places like in a Revelation 4 and 5 and and when we went back to Ezekiel that there's this sea of glass And all that's around the throne that's in heaven. And so when you're talking about what's the finale or Finality however you want to word that Is that there's this river that literally proceeds from the throne of God this river of life that's there but then it says that there's In the midst of the street of it and on either side of the river Was there the tree of life now? For many times. I'm wondering myself. Is there multiple trees of life? Or what does this mean? and I personally believe that they can very well be the case is that there's multiple and the reason that I Thought about the river that the tree of life is on either side of the of the river Because that's clearly what it's saying is that on either side of the river There's a tree that maybe this tree like branches over the river and it's kind of like this tunnel You know and and you basically have this tree of life And then it's basically rooted into each side of the river But it says in the midst of the street of it and on either side So when it says in the midst of the street of it, it's talking about the street of the city, right? So like I said This is coming back to chapter 21 and that we're talking about the city and the streets are pure gold and and all that I believe that there's there's probably multiple trees of life that are in this new Jerusalem And the new have a new earth and Now when it comes to tree of life, you know, it says the fruit of righteous is a tree of life You know and and the idea of the fact that there's obviously multiple trees of life when you think about Salvation and people that are saved So you could take that how you want You can say well in the midst of the street of it's talking about the street of the river I don't know like you'd have to somehow say that the street is talking about the river But I think it's basically stating this is a a new thought about the tree of life Is that in the midst of the street of it talking about the city and then and on either side of the river? Was there the tree of life meaning that there's a tree of life on one side of the river There's a tree of life on the other side of the river and there's a tree that's in the midst of the street in New Jerusalem, that's how I take it If you disagree with that, that's fine. And you say there's only one tree of life It just has to be one. Okay, that's fine I I don't I'm not gonna fight you over that but just grammatically I'm Struggling to see that there's not maybe more than one tree of life here And you know what three is a good number anyway, you know, so, you know, you're gonna fight me on that I'll talk about the Trinity a little bit for you. So anyway But when it comes to the tree of life, there's some things to see about it here first of all, it bears 12 manner of fruits and Yieldeth her fruit every month and so you know when it comes to you know, there's that that verse in Revelation 10 where it says there shall be time no longer people have taken that to To an extreme that it shouldn't be taking me. They basically like once it once there's time no longer There's basically no more time. No more months. No more seasons. Nothing right now I think that maybe the seasons won't be there as far as like winter and stuff like that, but I Got three preset servant about glory glorying in the winter But But that being said is that I do think that there are 12 months and the reason I think there's 12 months and listen You know when it comes to the new heaven, there's gonna be a Sun there's gonna be a moon and there's gonna be stars I believe that obviously the Sun Moon and stars are given for the seat, you know for the times and the seasons, right? And so the idea there is that I believe there's gonna be different months now I don't think it's necessary gonna be extreme winters like we're dealing with right now But there may be some different seasons going on. Who knows maybe it's just not as extreme Maybe I don't know. There's not gonna be deaths. I don't think there's gonna be fall unfortunately because that's my favorite month So I don't think the leaves are gonna be dying and you know all that stuff But but 12 meter fruits and it yielded her fruit every month. Well, it shows you there's months But there's also 12 fruits now What I personally believe is that each month there's a different fruit on there Now you could say well, no, there's 12 fruits And every month it yielded its fruit But to me that doesn't really make sense because isn't fruit on it all the time I mean like I think what it's stating is every month that yields a different fruit and it's basically stating that every month There's a different fruit and there's 12 fruits. So there's a fruit for every month. That's how I read it and then it also talks about the The Leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nation's and it's interesting too because you're dealing with this is the finale but it's talking about healing the nation's and stuff like that and the fact that That's something that's still continuing on for each pernity as far as God healing and just you know You think about leaves obviously you think I think of an aloe. It's not a leaf, right? It's a plant but I think about how leaves can cause healing and you can use it for medicine or whatever the case may be and You know, it's just interesting how it's mentioning this but the one thing I get out of this is that we're gonna be eating stuff Okay Now it's fruit. Okay, but we're gonna be eating things and I and the thing is is that you know Jesus said that he's not going to be he's not going to eat or Drink of the fruit of the vine or eat of this bread until he's in his kingdom, right? Until it's new in his kingdom now you can say well, that's the thousand year reign and this is new having new earth I think he's talking about both but at the same time I think we're gonna be eating and drinking but not eating and drinking so we survive And you say well, you know, we're gonna be in glorified bodies We don't need to eat or drink anything tell that to Jesus when he said give me do you have anything to eat? And he gave him a broil they gave him a broiled fish and a honeycomb and he didn't eat it Okay. Now obviously he wasn't gonna die if he didn't eat it because we're not gonna die but at the same time I think You Want to know one good thing about heaven about eternity and new heaven new earth we get to eat and not worry about getting fat Okay And we're eating just you know for I believe for pleasure You know and obviously these leaves are for the healing of the nations and there's like, you know This healing aspect and all this other stuff that's going on there But yeah, there's gonna be fruit I don't know what types of fruit are gonna be on there, but strawberries better be on there and you know I don't know what type of fruit but I'll say this is that whatever fruits on there's gonna be better than anything we've ever had Okay, and you know my kids and I used to say this to be like man. I hope there's diet coke in heaven, you know My kids never said that okay, or there's like I hope there's Reese cups in heaven or the you know You kind of think of like thinking you're like man. It's so good. I hope this is in heaven Let me let me let me say that I know where I know where how you're feeling about that But whatever's in heaven is gonna be like just a million times better than anything that's made down here Okay, you think a Reese's Cup is good. I guarantee that whatever we're gonna be eating and having it's gonna be way better than that Okay, and I know you're thinking in yourself in your head. How is that possible? you just gotta take it by faith, but So that being said I just kind of want to point that out and there's just little things like that that there's 12 months I think for eternity you're gonna have time Okay, and you're gonna have 12 months Maybe in a year and there's there's a still this this, you know time frame that's going around for all eternity And some because when you think about eternity, you're kind of like what's it gonna be? Like what are you gonna have? You know, does this time stop and we're just in this vacuum of you know, whatever I think that Time is still going on but word. It just never ends for us It just goes on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever. Okay, and When it comes to this tree of life This tree of life is obviously mentioned in in Genesis chapter 3 So this tree of life was in the Garden of Eden and the point I want to make here go to Genesis chapter 3 Is that the new heaven new earth is going back to paradise? You kind of see that and I kind of mentioned that that you had paradise or you had the Garden of Eden Which was basically this paradise. There's no death, right and then you had the fall of man So death came into the world and then you had this curse put on the earth But it was pre flood meaning that the earth basically people were living longer and You know the basically things were bigger like all that stuff and you kind of see that Just in what you see as far as you know Fossils as far as what you believe they find in fossils and stuff like that But people there were definitely skeletons of people being taller the Bible records people being you know, 900 years old. Obviously, that's true So then you have the flood and then it's just like even it's even worse Okay Now people are living let you know Like they're not living as long and all these different things that are going on there when you have a thousand year rain I believe you're kind of kicking back to pre flood conditions because it talks about how You know, everybody's gonna live to at least 100 years old That's basically what it states about You know, like they're gonna live 100 years old like you're not gonna have Miscarriages you're not gonna have like children dying at a young age. That's basically what it states in and Isaiah and That's no sermon of a But then when you get the new have a new earth, you're back to paradise You're back to the Garden of Eden. And so it makes sense that you're coming full circle to now We got a tree of life again But notice what it says after this after the fall it says in Genesis 3 22 it says in the Lord God said behold the man has become as One of us to know good and evil and now Lest he put forth his hand and take also the tree of life and eat and live forever Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden to till the ground from whence he was taken So he drove out the man and he placed at the east of Eat of the Garden of Eden cherry bins and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life So there was a tree of life here on earth That makes sense like that. There was a tree of life and it was being guarded after they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden before the flood So, you know whether you believe that the tree of life is still somewhere just underneath water. That's possible, right? That's another theory for another day and something that I went into as far as the the cherry bins The angels that were in the river Euphrates that are loosed Maybe the same cherry bins that were guarding the tree of life and that they were loosed and the Euphrates was so I you know, if you want an adventure, you know, everybody's wanting these adventures Let's go to the river Euphrates and find the tree of life, you know, no I don't think that's a smart idea considering he has the cherry. I don't think you're gonna make it. I'm just saying that but now Revelation chapter 2 dealing with this it talks about the tree of life and It says that it's in the midst of the paradise of God now the paradise of God is talking about the third heaven Okay, because in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 It states that I knew a man that was caught up in the paradise They were caught up into the third heaven and it equates those that the third heaven as far as where God's at his thrones at is called paradise and Paradise is you know where God's throne is at But when you're dealing in Revelation 2 for 7 here It says he that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches to him that overcometh Will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God? So there's a tree of life in the midst of paradise of God and you say well, okay So there's a there was a tree of life that was down on the earth and then obviously these angels were guarding it And then there's this tree of life that's in heaven Well, that's what I believe we're getting in Revelation 22 because what happened in Revelation 21 Literally the throne of God and everything came down from heaven and is now here on the new earth that was created, right? so that Same tree of life that's in the midst of paradise of God that he's talking about Revelation 2 is that same tree of life that we're seeing in Revelation 22 So I just kind of wanted to show you that but also go to Psalm 1 Psalm 1 and how it likens You know us as being trees of life, you know Because it says the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and he that win his souls is wise So the soul I'm talking about the tree of life that you're winning right or the soul that you're winning is It becomes a tree of life because you just reaped life everlasting You've just that person just received eternal life and now they are in eternal you know living tree if you will and And that would be a good tree by the way and not a corrupt tree. But the thing is that It's interesting how the Bible likens us unto trees and trees of life And then what it says will be like if we you know Keep his commandments and we do what we should be doing and in Psalm 1 in verse 1 It says blessed is the man that walketh not in the counseling ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seed of the scornful but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law that they meditate day and night and He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit and his season His leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper look familiar I Mean literally when you're talking about the tree of life it talks about the fruit bringing forth, you know, the tree bringing forth fruit in its season and You know 12 months 12 different fruits right as far as this tree of life is concerned But also it talks about the leaf shall not wither and talk about how the leaf is going to be for the healing of the nations So that is very interesting on how it mentions that this is also you don't have to turn there but in Jeremiah 17 Jeremiah 17 verse 7 says blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters and that spreadeth out her roots by the river and shall not see when heat cometh But her leaf shall be green and she and shall not be careful in the year of drought neither shall cease from yielding fruit Is that interesting how it likens obviously us the tree of life which is in heaven That's literally by a river of water and so it's interesting how the Bible obviously when you think about how God's giving us his word he's literally looking at the tree of life and Liking that you want to be fruitful then have your your roots next to a river I mean if you get a chance look at Google Earth look in Egypt and and look at the Nile And I want you to see everything's brown Desert then look at the Nile and it's like green this green line that's going down that river Because it get that that river is giving life outside of that everywhere else is just dry Okay, and anywhere else you could find that where you're dealing with some a place That's very desolate and doesn't have a lot of you go to the Amazon. That's not gonna work out very well Okay, now Google Earth, you know the Amazon and or the Congo Obviously, that's all getting all kinds of rain. But where it's very very dry and you have a river There's gonna be life at that river. There's gonna be fruit at that river. Okay, so Something to think about there. Also, it says there's no more curse. So in Revelation 22 in verse 3 It says in verse 3 it says in there shall be no more curse But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it and his servants shall serve him And I already mentioned that but obviously the throne of God is now down here on earth Okay, but it also says there's gonna be no more curse. What curse are we talking about? well, obviously the curse that was put on the earth when man sinned and If you have a finger still in Genesis Genesis 3 and verse 17 and I love how Revelation 22 is just coming It's like coming full circle You're in like what caused the fall of man and how it's all fixed is coming full circle at the very end here Dealing with the tree of life dealing with there's no more curse and and all of this how about the fact that you know when when Moses was was You know before he fell God would literally walk in the garden and speak with him You know and and in the cool of the day and and all that and I believe we're gonna go back to that Obviously, it's gonna be different because now we're in glorified bodies. We're not we're not innocent anymore We're saved right meaning this is that Adam and Eve were innocent They didn't know the knowledge of good and evil and new heaven new earth. We have the knowledge of good and evil And now we are you know It's definitely different than Adam and Eve and and where we're gonna be at in the end But in Genesis 3 and verse 17 this isn't and unto Adam He said because thou hast hearken unto the voice of thy wife and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded the Saying thou shalt not eat of it Curses the ground for thy sake and sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee and shall and thou shalt eat the herb herb Yeah, the herb of the field In the the sweat of thy face shout thou eat bread till thou Return unto the ground for out of it. What's thou taken for dost thou art and unto dost shout thou return? And the reason I'm laughing at it because I'm always trying not to say herb There because scorby always says herb and I'm trying not to okay, and I understand that's the British way of saying it But we're not British and but the thing is here is that we see that there's a curse that's put on the ground and And What's the curse? Well, basically it's not gonna bring forth fruit like it normally would but also there's thorns and thistles I mean, I think of thorns and briars. That's the curse, right? That was not the original state There was no thorns and briars in the Garden of Eden and when God created the heaven and the earth It wasn't this thorn and briar bush Atmosphere that we're dealing with and listen if anybody's ever taken like had to chop down Thorns and briar bushes and they've gotten a big thorn branch to the face I Mean, you know that you hate thorns and briars, you know, and you can understand too why the Bible likens reprobates I'm the thorns and briars. I mean I hate them. I hate thorns and briars, I mean I detest thorns and briars and Every time I get stabbed by those stupid things. I'm always just thinking like thanks Eve for eating that fruit Thanks Adam for sinning because no obviously that is what caused it though You know the the sin of man is what caused that curse to be put upon the earth and You can read past this but really think about this no more that No more curse at all. No more death. No more sorrow Everything has been made new and everything has been regenerated. You know, we are it and basically paradise paradise for all eternity and And It's gonna be amazing And when I think about this chapter, I think about eternity if I have it, you know a title for it This is eternity. This is what eternity is. This is what the end looks like. This is what the finale looks like For all eternity, we're gonna be with God and we're gonna have no more curse on the land There's gonna be no more death. No more sorrow. No more crying You know We're gonna be eating this these 12 manners of fruit by this river of life and it's gonna be amazing it's gonna be paradise for all eternity and And go to Revelation chapter 22 again and The other thing that we see here in this finale is that we're gonna see the father's face Now when you read this verse you may read past it or you may not even see the significance of this But notice what it says in verse 3 It says and there shall be no more curse But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it and his servant shall serve him and they shall see his face And his name shall be in their foreheads. Now. I don't want to you know go too deep into this because I could prove to you that when it says His name shall be in their foreheads. It's talking about his father's name, right? The father's name is in their foreheads dealing with 144,000. So when we're talking about they shall see his face We're talking about God the Father and you say was no one seen his face. I don't believe so. I Don't believe anybody even in heaven has seen his face now. Have they seen God the Father? Yes, but that'd be like saying I've seen the Sun Right. I've seen the Sun but have you really seen the Sun though? I have you seen all the details of the Sun Okay. Now obviously you can say well, I've seen the you know The pictures where they you can actually look at like the black spots and stuff like that Okay, now picture that and I'll picture the fact that there's no way you could ever do that Okay, right meaning this is that the glory of the Father I believe is so bright That even people in heaven have not yet seen his face. Okay, and notice what it says here, and this is why Understanding the Trinity is so crucial when it comes to understanding these verses. Okay, and in John chapter 1 verse 18, John chapter 1 verse 18 And this is where the people say well, this is a contradiction, you know Have you seen God or have you not seen God because in some places they'll say yeah I've seen God or he's this person saw God and then over here says no man has seen God So what does it say here in John 1 18? It says no man has seen God at any time The only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father he had declared him So when it says no man has seen God at any time who we talking about God the Father God the Son or God the Holy Ghost The Father right because it's very clear that the only begotten Son Which is in the bosom of the Father had declared him who the Father Because no man has seen God the Father's face. Okay, and 1st John 4 you don't have to turn there, but go to John chapter 5 John chapter 5 verse 37 1st John 4 12 says no man has seen God at any time if we love one another God dwells within us and his love is Perfected in us. So another place where it says no man has seen God at any time and in John 5 37 notice what it says here John 5 37 it says in the Father himself Which hath sent me had borne witness of me He have neither heard his voice at any time nor seen his shape Now you have to take this verse into account when you go to John 14 and Jesus is saying, you know He says show us the Father and it suffices us Philip says that and then he says, you know what has thou been so long with me and has thou not known me Philip and he's basically saying no you not that I am in the Father and the Father in me He didn't say I am the Father You've seen me No, but he said but he has he does say if you see me you seen the Father why because he's the express image of his person Because he is the image of the invisible God the firstborn of every creature. There's your Colossians memorization there But that being said is that that's the different that's the Trinity why the Trinity is so important because there are people have seen Jesus And Jesus is God You say well, they only saw him in his flesh. How about the Mount of Transfiguration where they saw him in his glorified state? You know put that in your pipe and smoke it But the thing is is that what we're dealing with here is we're dealing with seeing God the Father's face and what I want to really say here is that there's gonna be a Monumental thing here. Okay, and you may just read this and be like we're gonna see his face and be like, okay No, this is going to be a reveal here where everybody in heaven has not seen his face like This is gonna be a reveal It's almost like now we can tone down the light not tone down the light That's probably a bad way to say it. Basically we can we can make out a shape we can see his face now Whereas before was like looking at the Sun like the glory of the Sun if you will to the point where we couldn't make out His face couldn't make out the features all that but at this point we will and Go to and just to show you that and I know I keep bringing it up I probably should have went to the verse first go to 1st Timothy chapter 6 1st Timothy chapter 6 because God is light God the Father's light God the Son's light God the Holy Ghost is light okay, but You remember what Jesus said about God the Father? That God the Father is greater than the Son and I believe that applies to the light meaning like as far as greater in light meaning that God the Father is more powerful He's greater. It's the hierarchy the Father Son and Holy Ghost and how that works as far as the Trinity. Obviously, they're all God You know The Godhead is the Father Son and Holy Ghost three persons one God But there is a hierarchy and so notice what it says here With that in mind and and like I said, I'm kind of trying to explain it to you. Like I'm explaining looking at the Sun Like have you seen like if you were it you'd be like you're telling me no one in heaven has seen God the Father sitting On the throne. Yeah, they've seen him sitting on the throne, but have they seen his face That's the question, right? And if in John I guarantee Saul Maybe saw the hand right in Exodus chapter 33 saw his back parts But where does it say he ever saw his face? okay, and That being said because he obviously saw the hand, you know him handing the book to the to the lamb, you know in Revelation 5 I understand that you obviously are seeing somebody sitting on that throne. Okay, but knows what says in 1st Timothy chapter 6 In verse 13 it says and I give thee charge in the sight of God who quickeneth all things and before Christ Jesus Who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession that thou keep this commandment without spot Unrevucible until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ which in his times He shall show who is the blessed and only potent ate the king of kings and Lord of Lords who only hath immortality notices dwelling in the light Which no man can approach unto whom no man hath seen nor can see to whom be honor and power everlasting Amen now this is where those that believe in oneness Pentecostalism or modalism will be like see no man has seen Jesus And I mean that's literally what comes out of their mouth they're like no man has seen him so obviously that's ridiculous and should be rejected out hand, but You got to read that carefully. It didn't say that. No way. No man can can see Jesus It's saying that he's dwelling in the light Which no man can approach unto whom no man has seen nor can see What can't people see The light that he's dwelling in does that make sense? Obviously in context you can see that that's the father Okay, so he's dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto which no man has seen or can see So that makes perfect sense and that's why it says no man has seen God at any time The only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father he hath declared him So, you know what when he when Jesus came down to the earth No one has seen God the Father's face But he said if you see me you seen the Father why because he's the express image of his person Okay, so I believe what Jesus looks like is what the father's gonna look like Okay, you want a little insight as far as what the father's gonna look like but You know what? He's Jesus said you haven't seen his shape nor his face right or heard his voice But yet he says the words that I speak unto you. They're not my words. They're the father's words If you see me you've seen the father Why because he's the express image of the father and everything that the father wants him to do He does everything that the father wants him to say he says Same thing with the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost You know that only does what what Jesus said it only says what Jesus says he doesn't speak of himself He's giving glory unto the Son, you know, it's just lock and stab as far as that goes Okay, this isn't a sermon on Trinity But I want to show that significance that when it says we shall see his face That's a big deal, okay, and you know, that's gonna be a time to rejoice and all that now go to Revelation 22 in verse 5 Another thing is is that we're gonna be ruling and reigning with him forever Forever Now the reason that I make the point about this is well First of all, it says it and revelation 22 in verse 5 It says and there shall be no night there and they need no candle neither light of the Sun for the Lord God giveth them light now we saw that in Revelation 21 It's kind of reiterating that a little bit and but then it says they and they shall reign forever and ever Who the saved that are walking in and they're gonna reign forever and ever because I've heard some people say well We're gonna reign for a thousand years We're not gonna reign forever Because if you go to Revelation 20, it'll say, you know those that are the first resurrection they will reign with him a thousand years No, we're gonna reign forever Okay, if you think about it think about this verse right here in 2nd Timothy chapter 2 because I Believe this applies to every believer whatever time you're born and It says 2nd Timothy 2 and verse 11 It says it is a faithful saying Or if we be dead with him we shall also live with him if we suffer we shall also reign with him If we deny him, he also will deny us if we believe not yet. He abideth faithful. He cannot deny himself The idea here is that the point I want to get across here is that if we suffer we shall also reign with him What about those that are thousand year reign that are suffering for him that are living for him? You know what? They're gonna reign as well if they suffer for him They live for him all that because by the way, they're gonna be saved by grace through faith just like everybody else They're gonna have I believe a judgment seat of Christ just like everybody else But we are in the first resurrection No doubt because Christ has not come yet And in that first resurrection are those that are alive at his coming or those that have died before So we're gonna be in that camp somewhere But those that are in the what I would call the end resurrection, right? We have the just and the unjust Then you're gonna have the fact that they won't be raining for a thousand years Those believers won't be raining for a thousand years. It's only those that are part of the first resurrection But all believers will reign You know now here's the thing You say well And I'll say this to you in Revelation 5 10 it says and has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall Reign on the earth. Okay Now obviously that would be true in a thousand rain But raining on the earth would also be true in the new heaven new earth, wouldn't it? Because where are we at? Where's New Jerusalem, but on the earth, okay now That being said is that you say well, okay Who are we raining over? Okay. Well the Bible talks about You know the the the parable of the talents, right where yeah The man that had different number of talents and obviously had the wicked servant that only has one he hides and all that I believe you're not even dealing with a believer in that one. So let's just for sake of argument that guy Bay, he's a Judas. He's an imposter, right? The other two it says well done now good and faithful servant that has been And I don't have this in my notes. So I'm gonna paraphrase a little bit here But that has been faithful over a few things. I'll make the ruler over many things okay, so In in an army or in let's say Any type of structure of authority? You have kind of a hierarchy where you have people that are over a big large group of people I think of Moses right Moses was over all of Israel, but then you had a put judges He set up, you know officers that were over hundreds tens fifties, whatever I believe that's what you're gonna deal with when you're dealing with heaven for all eternity is that depending on what you do and how much you suffer for Christ and how much you do you live For Christ now will determine on where you're at in that hierarchy You say well, what about the thief on the cross didn't do anything right So first of all You know well, I'll leave it at that I say he didn't not do anything because he even like kind of rebuked the person that was You know Casting stuff in Jesus teeth because he says Thus thou not fear God, you know, so that's not a sermon of day, you know, but the sake of argument He didn't do anything. Okay, you just believe Right, he believes on Christ and he died. Okay, that's pretty much what happened with the thief on the cross. Okay What about that guy? What about the person that just you know, they believe they don't do anything and they they take Roman four or five to the T But the him that work if not, but believes on him to justify being godly his face is accounted for righteous I mean, they're just like, you know what? I'm holding that one to the T. They don't do anything Okay, I still that I believe that person's gonna rain and you say well who over who over angels at least Because the Bible does not the Bible say in first Corinthians first Corinthians 6 that No, you not that we shall judge angels See right now we're a little lower than the angels and Jesus was made a little lower than the angels when he came and was born on the Virgin Mary and died on the cross for our sins That's not always gonna be the case The Bible says we're gonna be as the angels, but I believe we're gonna be above the angels We're gonna be joint heirs with Christ The Bible says or we're gonna be heirs of God and if we suffer with him will be joint heirs with Christ There's a difference. There's also a difference in resurrection. There's a difference in you know, having just a resurrection Which everybody I believe would have but then there's some that you know when it came to being delivered from tribulation It says they accepted not deliverance that they might receive a better resurrection so When it comes to raining, I believe we're all going to be raining But some will be raining over more than others So And you remember I was preaching on like having a treasure that you're presenting your heart towards. Let that be your treasure Now for all eternity do you want to be Lowest on the totem pole when it comes to who you're raining over or do you want to be one of God's mighty men? I mean, I don't know about you But when I think of David I want to be the three The three that no one could attain unto right because you read through that passage of David's mighty men You're like, you know talk about Joab and talk about Benaiah and it's like They they were mighty but they didn't attain us at the first three Right and every time I'm reading I'm like I want to be that first three, you know I want to be the top three you want to be the James, you know The Peter James and John you want to be the top of the top and you know what? I'm not saying I'll ever be that I'm not saying that's where I'll be I'm not saying we're gonna be one of the 24 elders that's there casting crowns before Jesus feet or anything like that but what I'm saying is that you know what you should have that as an attitude of like, okay, we're all gonna rain but Are you gonna rain over 50s? hundreds? thousands? millions? trillions? You know obviously it's an innumerable number of people that are gonna be there But I just want to point that out that it's not just a thousand year rain It's not just that we're gonna roll and rain with Christ for a thousand years, but for all eternity forever Now go to Revelation 22 verse 6 it says And he said unto me these sayings are faithful and true and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show Unto his servants the things which must shortly be which must shortly be done so this the thing I want to point out here it says these sayings are faithful and true and and You know, you can just join me on this journey You don't have to turn all these passages but in Revelation 21 5 it says and he that sat upon the throne said behold I make all things new and he said unto me write for these words are true and faithful When it talks about Jesus it says in Revelation Revelation 3 in verse 14 it says unto the angel the church of the Laodiceans write these things set the Amen the faithful and true witness The beginning of the creation of God we're talking about the Lord Jesus. He's called the faithful and true witness How about this in Revelation 19? You could turn there if you want Revelation 19 in verse 11 Revelation 19 Verse 11. I just want to state this Jesus is called faithful and true But also the Word of God is called faithful and true How about this holding fast the faithful word it as he hath been taught that he may be able with sound doctrine both the convincing Both to exhort and convince the gains there How about study to show thyself approved unto God a man that needed not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth It's called the faithful word It's called the word of truth because his words are are Faithful and true or true and faithful and he is literally called true and faithful That's his name in Revelation 19 verse 11 says and I saw heaven open and behold a white horse and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and true and in righteousness he doth judge and make war His eyes were as a flame of fire and on his head were many crowns and he had a name written that no man knew But he himself and he was clothed with the vesture dipped in blood and his name is called the Word of God Jesus is the Word He is faithful and true and his words are faithful and true and the thing that I want to point out here Is that everything that we've gone through in Revelation will happen It will happen it is faithful it is true it's going to happen everything that we're reading right now This finale is going to happen if you put your faith in Christ, this is where this is where we're going to be We're gonna be in this paradise for all eternity that is faithful and that is true and it's going to come to pass Also go to go back to Revelation chapter 22 in verse 8 Revelation chapter 2 22 in verse 8 and I know I kind of hit on this that kind of I just since we're going through this Verse right here hit every verse but The angel that's showing them all this stuff is actually just a believer And notice what it says in verse 8 It says and I John saw these things and heard them and when I had heard and seen I fell down to worship before The feet of the angel which showed me these things then saith he unto me see thou do it Not for I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren the prophets and of them which keep the sayings of this book Worship God so that angel Which also shows you that when when God's writing to the angel of the church and that's a I'm sorry an emphasis and the angel And the church of Smyrna he's talking to a believer Okay, he's talking I believe to the pastor of the church, you know, the bishop if you will of the church because the bishops accountable Okay, that's why he's saying I have a few things against thee Singular, what are you doing? Get your church get the church in order, you know But also not only is he a believer but he's of the brethren of the prophets He's a prophet What prophet he is? I don't know and you say well is it Jeremiah? Is it Isaiah? Maybe it's a prophet never heard of If you think about that maybe there's prophets that have never unsung heroes You know the Bible says those that are unknown yeah Well, nothing Think about all the people that died and lived and died for Christ from first century AD that are not written in the Bible But if lived and died and done great things for God that died for the father Christ that barked for the cause of Christ No one knows who they are say well we know about we know about some of them like Martin Luther and John Wesley and you know all that listen I'm not saying William Tyndale was a bad guy because obviously we know about him But there's a reason we know about him because he's the first guy to ever put The New Testament into English. Okay, but let's put it this way most the time if you're reading about them They probably weren't the best Unless it's in the Bible Okay, obviously those in the Bible or I mean God's writing about it, you know, God's having them in there There's a reason for it But when you're talking about history books, you're talking about what you know today I guarantee there's a lot of unknown people that are well known in heaven and When it comes to You know this this man, that's that's that's a messenger and showing them these things They've used a prophet back Between you know Isaiah and you know, like and just unsung, you know He's just not someone that you even know it, but he was given this honor To do this not only an honor to show John these things notice who this angel is Or this man Revelation 21 verse 9 go back a little bit there Revelation 21 verse 9 it says and there came unto me One of the seven angels which had the seven vials full the wrath of the seven last plagues and talks with me saying come hither I will show thee the bride the land's white Did you know and I know I know I've preached this before and I'm kind of rehashing it But those seven angels that are pouring out those seven vials are believers Their brethren and God has given them that honor. I personally believe it's the same angel that's blowing the trumpet as well Yeah, based in one hand. They're blowing a trumpet another hand. They're pouring out a vial but God has given that honor to them and Just something to think about there, but obviously we shouldn't be worshiping angels either right, you know And the Bible talks about in Colossians chapter 2 about this voluntary, you know, humility and worshiping of angels We should not be worshiping angels. Okay. So if you have some angel statue you're bound down to and kissing you need to stop that But you know, there are people that literally worship angels though. I mean that there's that that is a thing and in Colossians He wouldn't be writing about if it wasn't actually happening but at the same time Obviously we look at that as being silly. That's dumb. Why would you ever do that? But I go to Revelation chapter 22 and verse 10 Revelation chapter 22 in verse 10 It says he saith unto me seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book for the time is at hand Now this lines up perfectly with how the book starts because in Revelation 1 3 it says blessed is he that readeth and they that Hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein for the time is at hand Now when it says the time it is at hand people, you know, the pre-trib is like see it's at hand It didn't say the day of the Lord was at hand did it it says the time is at hand Well, what time well relish 22 answers that it's for the time I'm sorry for the you know, these sayings of this book basically all these things that are being said in this book are at hand But when you link that with Daniel chapter 12 and not in verse 9 You don't have to turn there but at the end of Daniel it gives you a different response It actually says the opposite it says in Daniel 12 9 It says and he said go thy way Daniel for the words are closed up and sealed till the till the time of the end Till the time of the end. So what time are we talking about? It's at a hand and times okay, that means is that that Seven year period where the Satan's gonna be cast out of heaven and you're gonna have this Tribulation and the beginning of sorrows and all that That is that hint meaning that that could happen Whenever we don't know when that's gonna happen And So that is at hand and so but the day the Lord's not at hand because none of that has happened yet because before The day of Christ there has to be a falling away first and the man of sin has to be revealed Okay, so it can't be at hand according to 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 but the time itself you could say that that's at hand Does that make sense? I want to make that very clear because and I'm saying this because Some free turbo you're gonna pull this out and be like see it says the times at hand You said it wasn't at hand there's difference between the time being at hand and the day of the Lord being at hand Okay, because I can say the times at hand I can say we're in the last days because the Bible says we're in the last days So but you know what's not at hand the day of the Lord Because we have not yet seen the Antichrist when you see the Antichrist in the temple of God Sitting in the temple and saying that he's God Okay I'll say it's at hand You got me why because those stipulations have been met now the stipulations of that set second Thessalonians Chapter two have been met. It's not that it'll never be at hand. It's just that those things have to happen first. Okay now Going on from there again I can go into detail on a lot of these things But I don't want to I just want to I want to get through the chapter as a whole and kind of hit on each piece here And in Revelation chapter 22 and verse 11 This verse right here is very interesting It says he that is unjust let him be unjust still and he which is filthy Let him be filthy still and he that is righteous. Let him be righteous still and he that is holy Let him be holy still So this verse is kind of it's kind of like this finale if you will But this verse always makes me think of Zechariah 11. Go to Zechariah chapter 11 I'm gonna give you my thoughts on this verse because I've heard it preached different ways and I've heard different thoughts on what people think this is stating or what what's the point of the verse and all that Well in Zechariah chapter 11 this verse always just sticks out to me when I hear this verse in Zechariah 11 I always think of Revelation chapter 22 when I hear this one, I think of the other one verse 9 it says It says then said I I will not feed you That that dieth let it die and that that is to be cut off let it be cut off and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another and Basically, this is a passage where he's just like, you know what that that's that's dying. Let it die That is being cut off. Let it be cut off and it's kind of like this attitude like what you know, that's dying Let it die That's being cut off. Let it be cut off and I think about this when I think about like the wicked people in this world You know what? Let them be wicked Let them do what they're gonna do You know what the judgments coming and that at you know, because that's an attitude that God reveals in the Bible You know as far as they're gonna be in just let them be unjust. They're gonna be filthy. Let me They're gonna be filthy still but in context We're dealing with eternity here, right? And I believe in context. I think that bad interpretation is not bad, you know when you think about You know what? Some people are just gonna do what they're gonna do and you can't you're not gonna be able to change them, okay But when you think about the finality We're in new heaven new earth where all the saved are there. They're all righteous They're all just and then you have outer darkness where they're all filthy They're all unjust and what I believe is stating here is that all of us that are righteous are gonna be righteous still We're gonna be just still so when you think about it that way, you know What he that is unjust let him be unjust still he that is which is filthy Let him be filthy still all those that are in outer darkness. They're unjust. They're gonna be unjust still not changing You see the finality there At that point whoever's unjust will be unjust forever At that point whoever's filthy will be filthy forever but also the nice part here is that he that is righteous at that point will be righteous forever and He that is holy will be holy forever. It's a finality, right? I mean you think about heaven hell you think about eternity with everlasting life forever That's going on. No sorrow. No pain. No curse in paradise with the tree of life being with God and Then you have the polar opposite over here And he's basically saying the righteous and the holy they're gonna be that forever and the the filthy and the unjust they're gonna be that forever We're Never gonna be kicked out of heaven or out of the new earth, but they're never gonna come out of hell Okay, that's a finale and you know what? It's it could be a harsh one and it's going to be a harsh one for those that don't believe And then we get to Revelation chapter 22 in verse 7 Revelation chapter 22 in verse 7 here. It says and Again, somebody you say man, we're not getting very far here Well, I'm not gonna be taking too much time on some of these points. Okay, some of them saying a little more time Some I'm gonna be blowing through and it's just gonna have to be a sermon for another day Some of you are looking at this to be like why were we got 21 verses you're on 7 What's going on here? Revelation 22 verse 7 says behold I come quickly Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book and then in Revelation 22 in verse 12 it says and behold I come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man a quorum as his work shall be I am Alpha and Omega the beginning in the end and the first and the last blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into The city and I want to kind of just if there's anything that I kind of get across here because some of these things I've already preached before in this chapter Is this verse right here and my thoughts on this because I think a lot of people maybe have questions about it I've had questions about it and just give you my thoughts on verse 14 there One thing is that it's preface to where it starts with behold. I come quickly and my reward is with me You notice that my reward is with me to give every man a quorum as his work shall be So we're dealing with works. What are we dealing with a reward? This isn't saying that if you don't keep the commandments, you're not going to be there Okay, you're not going to be in the city, you know what I'm gonna explain that okay But in verse 7 it says behold I come quickly blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book notice when It says behold I come quickly what comes after that and I'm gonna read some for you that are back in Revelation In Revelation 3 11 it says behold I come quickly hold fast, which thou hast that no man take thy crown Well, it's a crown but a reward It says in Revelation 16 15 which it doesn't say quickly, but it's kind of the same premise. So behold I come as a thief Blessed is he that watches and keepeth his garments lest he walk naked and they see his shame which keeping his garments and walking In a spirit obviously is gonna you're you know, walking in the spirit. You're gonna render rewards and be fruitful Go to Revelation chapter 20 in verse I'm sorry Revelation 2 and verse 25 Revelation 2 and verse 25. Okay, and I'm gonna explain What I believe this verse is saying in Revelation 22 So in Revelation 2 and 3 after every church There's a statement made that while he that overcometh shall not be heard of the second death or he that overcometh I will give the eat of the tree of life. He did overcome it and By the way, if you've read you should read first John first before you get the revelation But who is he that overcome at the world, but he to believe that Jesus is some God Okay, so he's overcome with those that believe on Christ those that are born again So those old apply to believers but in Revelation chapter 2 in verse 25 notice something here verse 25 it says but that which but that which ye have already hold fast till I come and he that overcometh and Keepeth my works unto the end Notice something different there kind of reminds me of Abraham who? it says Abraham believed God knows imputed unto him for righteousness and He was called a friend of God why because he did the works, okay So he that overcometh is applying to your faith. He believed on Christ, but keeping the works Unto the end to him. Will I give power over the nations? Here's something that's above and beyond I believe just being saved And he shall rule them with a rod of iron as the vessels of a potter shall be broken to shivers Even as I received of my father and I will give him the morning star So I believe there's an extra blessing on those that not just overcome They don't just overcome by believing on Christ but they actually do the works and I believe revelation 22 and verse 14 is stating that there's an extra honor or Blessing a reward to those that keep his commandments. Hey, there is a reward to those that serve him and it you know what there's got it it's not going to be that we get to heaven and it's this Communism thing where all right, the person that didn't do anything for the Lord gets everything you get Then what's the judgment seat of Christ all about right? But at the same time it's not going to be that way at all. Actually, it's going to be it's going to be dealt out Justly righteously and the rewards are going to be Different types of rewards and one reward may be this think about this It says blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life Now let me hit that one. Okay, but they may have right to the tree of life All right. Well revelation 2 and verse 7 it says this Revelation 2 verse 7 it says he that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches to him that overcometh Will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of God? Did it say that they had right to the tree of life though? Could they go up and get that fruit? Just speaking out loud here Maybe When it's talking about the fact that those that keep his commandments the reward is you can literally go up and pick that fruit off And eat it whereas Not everybody can do that Meaning that if you're just a believer you can eat it But in Revelation 2 it doesn't say that they can go up and pick the fruit and eat it It says that he will give you To eat of the tree of life. So there may be some that will have to get the fruit for you So that you eat it so it's not saying you won't eat it Not saying you won't get any of the leaves. You won't get the benefits of eating of that fruit that fruit but You you don't have the right to go up and get it Okay And you say what about entering in through the gate? Well, if you have right that you may enter in through the gates of into the city go to Acts chapter 8 Acts chapter 8 Now You could probably think of this on another level but let's say you're going into a place that's kind of locked down it's it's it's a Privileged area but you can you can You have to have someone there with you to get you in right someone has the key code someone has the key card Right and you're allowed to be there, but you got to have someone basically have access to get you in there, right? It's not that you're not allowed to be there. It's just that you don't have that key card, right? Now that's kind of a futuristic kind of example of this but think about this with Candace I'm sorry. Yeah, Candace, or I'm sorry Ethiopian Eunuch that that Philip talks to here. It says in verse 27 Acts chapter 8 verse 27 It says he arose and went to behold a man of Ethiopia and eunuch of great authority Under Candace queen of the Ethiopian. So this eunuch has great authority. So he obviously has more authority than others and specifically who had the charge of all her treasure and had come to Jerusalem for to worship and I'm just giving you says an example that Under God he's gonna have people in authority and he's gonna have an authority structure and some people are gonna have Authority to do things that other people don't have authority to do And I believe that's what this verse is basically stating so maybe to come into the city you have to have a certain person that has certain authority to March you through those gates You have you can go into the city and it's not saying that you're barred from the city because all the safe are gonna walk In it, but just as much as the fruit on the tree Maybe God has to give it to you. Maybe you know, maybe someone else can give it to you. Everybody can eat it Right, but those that serve God those that keep his commandments are gonna have more authority Than others and I believe this is an example of showing you okay What what is that? What kind of authority what would be the difference, you know, like what's the difference? You know between the person that lives for God all their life And just gives up their life to serve God and the person that doesn't but gets a what's the difference? I Believe that's showing you a little glimpse into the difference as far as that goes and I don't know about you But for all eternity I think it'd be kind of nice that I could go up to that tree pick that fruit off and eat it That I can walk through those gates and I don't have to ask anybody for any type of key code or authority or anything like That to get into that gate to get through there Now those gates aren't closed day or night But you still have to have authority to go through it Okay, and I believe that that's what it's saying there you have right to go through and another way of saying that you have authority to go through and Not saying like again that don't get me wrong, you know, you're saying some say people can't go into the city That's not what I'm saying at all. I think every believer will go into that city Every believer will walk the streets of gold that are in that city I'm saying when you're coming in and out, you may have to have someone bring you in and If you want the tree of light you want the fruit tree of life, you may have to have God give it to you But some may have the actual authority To actually go up and get that fruit himself Okay, and I I like Like if I can get through the sermon I Like it shows us isn't it you could look at this verse and be like man. Why is that verse there? It's just confusing. It's gonna make people think you got to work the way to heaven But as a safe person, I love this verse because it really shows us some detail About what it's going to be like for eternity and God I don't believe God has to show us some of these things I think he does just to kind of give us a glimpse and Also give us a goal I'm about you but my goal is is that I have that blessing right there. I want that blessing you know and but going on from that in Revelation 22 in verse 15 It says for without our dogs and sorcerers and whoremongers and murderers and idolaters and whosoever loveth and make it a lie now This is very similar to Revelation 21 8. This is very similar to the last verse in Revelation 21 Basically that none of those people are going to be in that city Obviously without I believe you're talking about outer darkness You're dealing with the lake of fire and wherever you believe that is doesn't matter. It's outside of that city No doubt. It's outside of that city. I believe it's outside the whole earth It's not where even near the earth But it's making a point just as much as making that point about the finality of like heat is unjust Let him be unjust still it's making that point that hey There's people that are in outer darkness and there's people that are in this city and you know what? That's what you're dealing with there But when it's talking about dogs not talking about Fido, it's not talking about my wiener dogs at home It's not talking about you know a canine It's talking about people and when it says dogs You know what? We were actually talking about this on the way back and how like a fox and a wolf would be considered like in the dog Family you think about wolves and sheeps clothing They also think about Herod being the fox and but also the fact is is that sodomites are called dogs in the Bible So let's just put that out there and but it does use that term dogs to talk about reprobates in Philippians chapter 3 in verse 1 it says finally my brethren rejoicing the Lord to write the same things to you to me is indeed Is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs. Beware of evil workers. Beware of the concision and again He's not talking about like beware of dogs Like of the pitbull that's out on the porch when you go out soul-winding Yes beware of that but at the same time beware of dogs meaning like these evil people that are coming after you and Just give you a verse on that and you say well you just said that sodomites are dogs I didn't the Bible did well I am too, but the Bible said it in Deuteronomy 23 in verse 17 says there shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel Thou shalt not bring up the higher of a whore Or the price of a dog into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow For even both these are abominations unto the Lord thy God so this is one of those simple like Pick what's similar, you know, the whore lines up with the whore and the sodomite lines up with the dog Okay, so that's what we're dealing with there now Obviously, I believe someone could be a dog and not be a sodomite But when you're dealing with a dog when you call someone a dog That is not just an unbeliever That's someone that is You know ever learning never able to come out to the knowledge of the truth that you're talking about a false teacher You're talking about someone that is past feeling they're twice dead plucked up by the roots. Okay So just give me that so when you're reading through that verse you're like dogs. I Thought all dogs went to heaven But Obviously we're talking spiritually meaning dogs as far as that goes Revelation 22 in verse 16. I'm trying to blast through this. I'm We hit on some of these I've already done sermons on these I don't want to belabor this but in Revelation chapter 22 in verse 16. I Jesus have sent mine angels to testify unto you these things in the churches I am the root in the offspring of David in the bright morning star I've hit on this that he's rooting offspring of David because he's he was he was not only the root of David He's the root of David because he created David, you know before Abraham was I am But he's at the offspring of David because he's born the Virgin Mary and he was the seed of David So he's both and this is why when they said, you know, you know, how is Christ? How's David calling Christ his Lord if it's his son, right and there's a it's just like paradox Like how can it be his Lord if it's his son, right? It's backwards. It doesn't make any sense Here's why it makes sense because he's a hundred percent man hundred percent God. He is God in the flesh He made he made David he's also born of David's line into this world. That's how that makes sense he's the bright morning star and Lucifer is not the morning star as the other versions say that's another sermon for another day there, but he is the bright morning star and And going down to Revelation chapter 22 and verse 17 Revelation 22 verse 17. Like I said when you get to this fan out and you're kind of hitting all these different points You Could do sermons on all these things Verse 17 it says in the spirit and the bride say come and Let him that hear it say come and let him that is a thirst come and whosoever will Let him take of the water of life freely and this is reiterate I mean it's stated before also in Revelation 21 6 and he said unto me it is done I am Alpha and Omega the beginning in the end I will give unto him as a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely and this really just shows you that salvation is free That's how the Bible ends. It's basically like salvation is free come and take Of the water come and drink come drink the water and you know what? It's free salvation It's a free choice to come and get salvation the bride saying come which is who's the bride? All the saints so believers are saying come the spirits saying come whosoever will Come okay, and just a call out to those to get saved So you imagine that if you're not saving you're reading this this this passage and you're reading through Revelation What you're and when you see the finale of an unbeliever and the finale of a believer Wouldn't you say yeah, I'm gonna drink that Give you that water of life because I want that I want the end of the believer. Okay? Now revelation 22 in verse 18 It says for I testify unto every man that here at the words of the prophecy of this book if any man shall add unto these things God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book and if any man shall take away from the words the book of this prophecy God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written In this book So this is this is a great verse Or a great passage here to show that you shouldn't add or take away from the Bible or from the Word of God Obviously it's stating that you're gonna if you add to it He's gonna add these plagues to you and I can think about how that would be adding that in hell You know with the plagues and all that stuff, but also taking away Your part out of the book of life And out of the holy city and I believe what that's saying and this is sermon about the book of life But the fact is is that I believe everybody's written in the book of life When you die in your sins without Christ you're blotted out if you become a child of the devil you're twice dead you're blotted out and you're blotted out before you even die physically and You know what all those that are saved I believe There's no way to be blotted out That's why it says he will not blot you out of the book of life because you have eternal life You can't be blotted out of the book of life. You have eternal life. Okay? So that being said this these verses here are something that a believer cannot do Say what if a believer adds to the Word of God what a believer takes away from God can't happen What if a believer takes the mark of the beast they have to cut off their head or cut off their hand No, they're not going to take it What if a believer gets deceived by the Antichrist Can't happen because the Bible says that it's impossible for it for him to deceive the very elect Said if it were possible, he would deceive the very elect. You know what that means? It's not What if a believer becomes a god-hating atheist not gonna happen There's certain impossibilities. Okay? so when you're dealing with People that take away and I'm not about willingly I'm not talking about someone has a typo someone you misquoted that verse took away from the Word of God You added a you know something to the verse when you you were reading there you took away from the way I've got you that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about people adding on purpose to change the Word of God God's gonna add to them these plagues and you know what that means? They're not believers if they take away They're losing their opportunity to be saved So all those that willingly took away from the Word of God with all these new versions That's what's waiting for them. You don't tamper with God's Word. You say well, this is just talking about revelation. Well They did it with revelation. So I you know, whatever you want to say with that now to add to that You know, some people will say they'd be like well This is only just talking about revelation you can add and take away from the rest of God's Word Well on the surface that should sound retarded. Okay? That's not PC, but you know what on the surface that should sound ridiculous, shouldn't it? Like yeah, you can take away from you can't take away from revelation But you can take away from everything else and you can add to everything else. Okay? Well Deuteronomy 4 and verse 2 it says you shall not add unto the word Which I command you neither shall you diminish ought from it that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God Which I command you how about Proverbs 30 and verse 5 and 6 it says every word of God is pure He's a shield unto them that put their trust in him add thou not unto his words lest you reprove thee and thou be found a liar So there you have Moses in the law you have Solomon and well, I guess I guess that's not Solomon that's Hagee or whatever his name is that's in Proverbs 20, but a proper story, but That being said You know what? I don't care what book you're talking about. Don't add don't take away now believers I don't believe that's possible for us to do that as far as what it's talking about here What it's talking about here is talking about tampering and literally trying to change the meaning trying to change what it Stating trying to take away from it and that's a harsh judgment that's gonna be put upon that Now when it comes to that Some people say well you're kind of you know What do you say when some when you talk to a Mormon or someone that's trying to add like books to the Bible, right? They're not like adding like necessarily words to this but they're adding on meaning like they have like Muhammad or they have you know, the Book of Mormon and all that the way I tackle that is not necessarily with those verses I'm not saying you're wrong If you try to do it that way The way I tackle that is the fact that Paul said that he was the last to be called He was the last to see Jesus and he and he was the least to be called an apostle meaning. He's the last apostle And The Word of God was framed on the prophets and the on the apostles if Paul was the last Then after the apostles died, there wasn't any more revelation being given. That's how I answer it. Okay Now the finale here is in verse 20. It says he which testified these things says surely I come quickly Amen, even so come Lord Jesus grace of all Lord Jesus Christ be with you all Amen That's how it ends I mean that's that what a what a finale To the Word of God what a finale to the book of Revelation and stuff so many things to look forward to revelation 21 and and 22 should be chapters that you should look at and just look forward to what we have to come and You know that stuff in there is stuff that's going to be after a thousand years of rolling and raining with Christ You know, that's gonna I look forward to that But even after that we have to look forward for all eternity what's written there and You know what? It's great. So when you go to sleep tonight, I mean just think about that I mean doesn't matter what happens in this life In the end, that's where we're gonna end up. So and it's all because of the Lord Jesus it's all because he died for us took our sins and What a Savior that he would not only save us from hell, but give us all that. I Mean the love that God has for us we can never comprehend Let's end with the word with the word of prayer to Heavenly Father. We think of today. Thank you for your word Thank you for the book of Revelation And I pray to help us to use the book of Revelation help us to look forward to the things That you prepare for us and help us to be prepared for the things that are to come You know with tribulations and persecutions, but Lord just look forward to the the glory That that's coming after that and Lord we love you and pray to be able to serve the rest this week in Jesus Christ's name Amen, but they will come and sing one more song and will be dismissed All right song 392 in your song books Song 392 will sing a soul winner for Jesus if you would stand sing song 392.
