So you're there in Matthew chapter 6 and we're continuing our series if you will on exposed false religions and what I'm gonna be hitting on tonight is the Catholic Church. So Catholicism exposed. Now you say why are you hitting on this? You already preached on this like a year or so ago because it's a it's a big one to hit so it needs to be hit again but but all that's a big thing on this too is that in our area Catholics are predominantly around here so and and Methodists so I'm obviously gonna hit on some religions that we're dealing with all the time or that that are prominent and by the way I used to be a Catholic you know my mom's side of the family was Catholic we have other others that are in this church that came out of the Catholic Church and so that's a very prominent religion actually there's there's 1.3 billion people that have been baptized into the Catholic Church okay that's not even just counting people that probably just go sometimes because you know family members and all that but all that to say is that there's 1.3 billion and there's approximately 8 billion people in the world I mean so you're dealing with with over an eighth of the population being Catholic so I mean that's a huge number okay and so I want to get into the history of the Catholic Church I want to get into some of the misconceptions because this is the big thing with the Catholic churches they're saying what they'll say is that we are the original church you know we are the church that came from Jesus we are the original you know Church that was ordained by Jesus Christ and that everybody just broke off of that meaning that all the other sex of Christianity are basically reformed people that were protesting the church and let that that is not true okay and I want to get into that a little bit because the Catholic Church really started around 300 AD around that time okay and and it definitely was not the fact that was the only people that claimed to be Christian at that time either and so but what they want you to think is that Peter was the first Pope and I don't want to get into that because I got into that in the sermon it was called the abominations of the Catholic Church and I got into Peter definitely having a wife having children and that if if he was the first Pope then this whole idea of being celibate doesn't fly and that aspect but first of all where did the Catholic Church come from well I'll say this there's always been the idea of a universal one ecumenical type of religion okay and that's what the Catholic Church basically represents is if you will Babylon the Tower of Babel and that idea of bringing everybody together having this universal religion okay and Catholic means universal okay that's what that word literally means so if you've been in Methodist churches or something like that sometimes you'll get that the Apostles Creed and I'll say we believe in one holy apostolic Catholic Church well a lot of times in those places they'll still change Catholic to universal because they're supposed to be Protestants right so they don't want to say we're part of the Catholic Church they'll say we're part of the universal church okay so I'm gonna get into that a little bit later but this idea of you know the Catholic Church being from the beginning is a lie but at the same time there's always been this idea or the spirit of this universal church from the very beginning okay so it's not like it's new it's just the fact that in 300 AD it was kind of like this imposter Christianity is taking over and I want to get into a little bit now Emperor Constantine now you may remember Emperor Constantine he was an emperor of Rome he was very famous because he had some vision like about Jesus or something like that about the cross okay and if you remember he put the cross on all his shields okay so Constantine people they make movies about you know like Constantine and it has to do with a cross and Christianity and all this stuff and so basically Emperor Constantine in 313 AD made Christianity legal okay he made it legal in the Roman Empire and specifically Constantine it they were more so in the Byzantine Empire okay and where is the Byzantine Empire well you probably heard of Constantinople which is Istanbul Turkey Constantinople Constantine right you can see it in the name there but basically the Byzantine Empire was like the Turkish area and basically in 300 AD around that time Constantine was the Emperor there and he made Christianity legal now if you remember before that there was a lot of persecution through the Roman Empire on like killing Christians and feeding them to the Lions and a lot of persecution that was going on well Constantine made it legal and he's the one that ordered the first Council of Nicaea okay now here's where people just just believe all kinds of weird things about this Council of Nicaea you probably heard him say well that's when they figured out what was in the Bible have you ever heard that you know I've heard people say they'd be like well I can't didn't the Catholics they're the ones that figured out what was even in the Bible or they're like the Catholic Church is what gave you the Bible and what universe okay but I want to talk about the Council of Nicaea a little bit because I want to kind of wash away some misconceptions about what the Council of Nicaea was so the first Council of Nicaea was held in Nicaea but it was basically where Constantine was wanting to get a whole bunch of Christian bishops that were in that Byzantine area and get them together and all basically come together and unify on doctrine this this is what you would call the first ecumenical gathering and trying to basically unify on doctrine okay so this goes against a lot of Christian principles here okay we're not gonna come together and I'll say this even among independent fundamental Baptists I'm not gonna come together with them and come together and try to unify on doctrine I'll take it a step further in a new independent fundamental Baptist movement I'm not gonna come together with a whole bunch of my Baptist friends and unify on doctrine now obviously our churches believe right on salvation they believe right on the King James Bible but there are differences between what this church stands on and some other new IFB churches okay I think they're minor I don't obviously think that they're gonna be something that I'm gonna split on or I wouldn't be friends with them but at the same time I'm not gonna come together and be like all right you know how we do the Lord's Supper let's unify on that that's what you're pretty basically kind of dealing with on a short small scale here no we're not gonna hear it enough we do it what we do it the way I believe the Bible says that we should do it and if another church does it another way let them do it the other way but we're not gonna unify on that that's called ecumenic ecumenicism okay and that's kind of on a smaller scale because that's kind of like you can understand like that's not that big of a deal but that's dangerous okay now I'll take it on a bigger scale let's unify all Baptists oh now you got a problem because now you're gonna have a bunch of Baptists that believe you've got to repent of your sins for salvation or they're free will Baptist and they believe you can lose your salvation and so you see how that's just in the Baptist realm good good night let's go into the Methodist the Church of Christ the Pentecostals all that stuff and then let's bring everybody in so you see how this is a bad idea from the beginning I'm bringing all these people together so he organized this and this is basically where he was trying to get you know all these doctrines nailed down and say hey you know this is what the Christian religion believes okay and okay so what they weren't doing is trying to figure out what was in the Bible okay so some of the things the big thing they were trying to figure out is that the divine nature of God the Son and his relationship to God the Father okay there's a big thing that they were trying to like nail down okay I'm gonna admit to you they got it right okay Wow okay so this is where you get the modals would be like so you're Catholic you know you're agreeing with the council of Nicaea well blind squirrel finds another every once in a while and I mean the Trinity is a pretty basic thing but they were fighting against I think it's a billion ism or whatever they called it back then but it's basically a form of modalism to basically say that God the Sun wasn't always the Sun and that it's you know God isn't three persons in one they denied the Trinity so some of that was part of part of what they were trying to do and then they were trying to construct the first part of the Nicene Creed so I'm gonna I'm gonna read off the Nicene Creed to you just so you know what that's even talking about they're establishing uniform observance of the date of Easter whoop-dee-doo okay I don't see okay is that really that big of a deal if we celebrate Easter on the actual time of the Passover and all that stuff okay and then it says and they're basically trying to figure out unifying canon law okay now canon law meaning like doctrines canon doctrines okay so the Catholic Church would look at canon doctrines as far as like the Pope will decide what's canon as far as the Catholic Church and this isn't necessarily talking about Bible this is just talking about like how they do administration type stuff or how they you know what prayers they do in their eulogy or their their liturgy and like how they do all this stuff so when people see Canon they just like Bible canon Bible you know like what books were in the Bible nothing in the Nicene Creed or in the Council of Nicaea had anything to do with figuring out okay we're gonna say that the the 66 books are canon and the Apocrypha is not and the book of Enoch is not and you're like no that's not what was going on so if anybody comes up to you and be like Council of Nicaea you know that's when they had to figure out what was in the Bible that's hogwash that's not what was going on okay and now with this I want you to think about this Constantine invited 1800 bishops you say well bishops they must be an all Catholic listen I'm a bishop that's a biblical term you know if any man desire the office of a bishop he desires a good work and so bishops not a bad term so when they say he he asked all these bishops Debbie like asking like every pastor that's in the area to come to this meeting you know how many people showed up to it well one guy you used to be BS of Caesarea counted more than 250 okay they said at most it was like 318 people bishops made it to this meeting all right here's a percentage for you you know what that gives you 14 percent to 18 percent of those bishops actually showed it up to the showed up to the meeting okay now what the why I bring this up is because this Creed in this council is what was made into the Roman Catholic Church okay now on top of that let's say you took and you invited all the pastors in America to a conference are you gonna get some good pastors in there and what's the percentage that's actually gonna be good in that you know for example let's say let's say right now they said hey you know let's say Trump came out President Trump came out said listen we have this council we're gonna bring all these pastors all the pastors are invited that are you know in America to this council we want to unify on doctrine what Bible believing Christians got to show up to that meeting really I mean but who's gonna show up Joel Steen Rick Warren Jack Treiber probably yeah and just all these sellouts all these people that are obviously false prophets and that's where you're gonna get your 14 or 18 percent of people that are actually gonna show up to that meeting and then that's what's gonna be made into the Roman Catholic Church okay so just on the surface do you see how it's not even a majority of the pastors that were there I mean it's not even close it's not even half 14 percent 18 at best and that's not even 18 it's like 17.6 or something like that but I don't want to bore you with the numbers all that to say is that do you see how this is not an all-encompassing like this is what everybody believed but that's what the Catholic Church wants you to think they want you to think that this was the all-encompassing majority of what people believed and that's what the church was back then no most people said hogwash to your meeting that's what happened and you know I'm not saying that everybody that didn't go was like a Bible believing like good Christian but I guarantee most of them were just like we're not gonna unify in doctrine you know we're not all about this ecumenism of unifying on this and so yeah that's just show you something right there now the that the whole point of the council was basically to get the church laws and the in the canons of that as far as just stuff like that had nothing to do with it is not about like that the is the book of Matthew actually can it you know it's not like that's what this was about but here's the Nicene Creed okay I'm just gonna read it off to you and it's kind of one of these things like did you really need to come together figure this out yeah we believe in one God the Father Almighty maker of all things visible and invisible and in one Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God begotten of the Father the only begotten that is of the essence of the Father God of God light of light very God a very God begotten not made being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made both in heaven and on earth who for us men and for our salvation came down and was incarnate and was made man he suffered and on and the third day he rose again ascended into heaven from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead and in the Holy Ghost so that last part is just they believe in the Holy Ghost okay so basically this is what they believe we believe in the Father Son and the Holy Ghost that's the Nicene Creed and they just what they did is they expounded on who the Son was that was their big thing is that he is the Son of God he's the Trinity so this is a very Trinitarian type of Creed okay and I'm not gonna say that I agree exactly with the wording there because a lot of this is not biblical wording okay but I don't necessarily just on the surface see a problem with what's being said here those in editors in brackets of what's being what was just said it says but those who say there was a time when he was not talking about the Sun obviously and he was not before he was made and he was made out of nothing or he is of another substance or essence or the Son of God is created or changeable or alterable they are condemned by the holy Catholic and apostolic church okay so you know this is the Nicene Creed okay now you say well what is this Catholic thing well again Christianity was legalized in 313 this this council was in 325 so when it was made legal there's basically this push for this universal well that's the whole point of this council does that make sense the whole point is to make this a universal all-encompassing all these doctrines line up and all this stuff so yeah I mean the Nicene Creed it's fine I guess I mean I'm not gonna I'm not gonna hold to it I'm not gonna put that as a moniker of our church here but at the same time you know that's not everything it was about okay so they got the Son of God right but at the same time this is what I want to get to because you had you had basically 14% or 18% of these bishops that came together well there's gonna be another Roman Emperor later on in 380 so this is really where the Roman Catholic Church stems out of okay and so in 380 AD there's another Roman Emperor Theo Theodosius I think is how you say it Theodosius I'm not sure if that's how you say it but either way that Emperor on February 27 380 he he basically made this decree and he decreed or declared that the Nicene Trinitarian Christianity to be the only legitimate Imperial religion okay and the only one entitled to call itself Catholic so you kind of had like this Catholic group and they were kind of holding to the Nicene thing a little bit or yet other people are trying to unify being ecumenical with being universal Catholic all that but basically this is where it became the state religion so when you think of Roman Catholic what is that the state religion of the Roman Empire okay I know this is you know I'm just going in a little bit of history here then I'm gonna be getting into Bible okay I'm gonna give you getting into the doctrines of the Catholic Church and how that doesn't mesh with the Bible and we're gonna get into that here in a second but I want to just just get out of the way that hey the Catholic Church is not something that we came out of okay or and it definitely wasn't the majority of people that believed in what they were saying okay those Canon laws and all the stuff that they are talking about that became the Imperial religion was based off of a percentage of bishops that were invited so let's just say for sake of argument you know if they were to make some counsel today that pastor Robinson isn't invited to that council right pastor Anderson isn't invited to that council any Bible believing Christian that actually believes the Bible probably wasn't even invited to that council but even out of the people that were invited to that council only about 18% of them even showed up and the state religion was made based off of their their doctrines okay not even close to majority okay so this idea is like well that's what the majority of Christians believe back then yeah doesn't look like it and so now has it grown to be the majority of maybe people out there that call themselves Christians yeah now but that's not the way it started the way it started was an Emperor instituted it an Emperor instituted as the state religion and that's where everybody got on board and by the way you want to know why there's so much idolatry because it was from the Roman Empire the Roman Empire were basically they borrowed all the Greek gods and made him into Roman gods and what the Catholic Church did is they took all the Roman gods and made him in the Saints you know you had the Saints of you know the animals and Saints of healing and the Saints of this and you're supposed to pray to these Saints and I'm not joking but you're supposed to venerate and pray to these Saints for whatever purpose and you pick which Saint is basically the Lord over that okay and so they basically adopted that Babylonian kind of and you say what do you mean Babylonian how about Greece and Roman are one two of the heads of the seven-headed dragon that's in Revelation that represents Babylon so yeah I mean the Catholic Roman Catholic Church is the Babylonian religion okay and this isn't a whole end-time sermon here but I could get into you know revelation 17 and really get into that about this universal one-size-fits-all religion and that's obviously against God now to get into some doctrine you'd be like well why were you in Matthew 6 you didn't even say anything about Matthew 6 because I read Matthew 6 I think Catholic Church okay and listen I came out of the Catholic Church so yeah there's a lot of things in here where I'm just like yep that's the Catholic Church right there that's exactly what it is and the big thing that I think about is vain repetitions when it comes to their prayers and look down at verse 7 there of Matthew chapter 6 time would fail me to go into all the aspects of the Catholic Church of just the stuff that's wrong with it but I'm gonna go through some stuff some different things here so Matthew chapter 6 verse 7 says but when you pray use not vain repetitions as the heathen do for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking now what's interesting about this is that other versions will say instead of vain repetitions they'll say vain babblings okay you said well why is that different well because isn't it interesting that one of the vain repetitions the big repetitious prayers that they do is literally the next thing that said in this chapter that our father prayer okay by the way it's the only prayer that I remember I can never finish the hail Mary full of grace thing I'd always just Peter off at the end and be like I don't know what the rest of this is and but all I'd say is that notice what it says right after in verse 8 there says but be not ye therefore like unto them for your father knows what things you have need of before you ask him after this manner therefore pray ye now I went to Catholic Church and I remember this is the way it would work so those that aren't Catholic here's a little insight into the Catholic Church you would go to this confessional booth okay sometime the one that I had at least the one church I went to you saw the priest okay but you probably seen the idea where you go into one side of the booth and he's in the other and you can't see him I've definitely seen that and I've been in churches or been into a Catholic Church where they had that where you don't see them right and you're there like saying forgive me father for I have sin that's literally how you started off okay I'm skipping to my next point about how you shouldn't call them father but you'll basically confess like you know I you know hit my brother or I stole a cookie or you know whatever you're saying or whatever you're saying as a you know a teenager when I was you know still in Catholic Church but basically this is what they'll say they'll kind of talk to you for a little bit but then they'll say all right go up to the the altar area there and say five our fathers and five Hail Mary's now that's just kind of an arbitrary thing but they would if whether you said something really bad be like I hit my mom in the face they'd be like alright 20 our fathers and you know this or that vain repetitions so you're supposed to go up there and be like our father who art in heaven and then go through the whole spiel and then our father who art in heaven and then go to our father who art in heaven and just keep going and going and going and going and that's the way you're supposed to do it okay and I'd lose track and I just you know but I only knew that our father anyway so and but let's read this because you know the thing with the Catholic Church is that I have most dismemorized but they change there's a little piece that's different and it's still to this day I'm like you know curse you Catholic Church because I still have problems memorizing this passage but in notice in verse 9 there it says you know after this manner therefore pray ye our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and here's where it's different okay so all that up to that point that's the way that you would say it in the Catholic Church it says forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors but this is the way we go forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us peace be with you you know and like it's just like but I every time I read this that it's all I hear because it was a mantra you would see and listen it wasn't just it at confessions you would say this at every single Catholic service and every single Catholic services are pretty much the same on what you would say you would say that the Hail Mary you say that our father you would do all these different things and pretty much the whole service was the same except for one little sermonette that the guy would preach the the priest would preach or preach he would just say something some nonsense didn't make any sense at all and and so anyway going on from that it says give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever amen and they did they'd add on something you know after that and everybody would say it so they kind of added on to it at the end this is he's saying you know you know what Jesus is doing here he's not saying this is the only thing that you pray when you pray you must say this he's stating in here the things you should be praying for okay so it's a model as far as like okay we need to pray we need to you know say that God's will be done okay but it's not saying that you just that's all you say you can say Lord I want your will be done in this area over here I want your will to be done over here in this area and you're talking to God and you're telling them okay Lord I want you to come back right now because there's so much wickedness in the world I want your will to be done on this earth and then give us this daily bread I mean Lord thank you for this meal that we're about to eat and you're giving him thanks and you're asking him to give you daily bread it's a model prayer after this manner it's not saying repeat verbatim and then repeat this five or ten times over and over again listen God already knows what you need he wants you to ask him though okay but he doesn't want it to be insincere and the reason that they change this to babblings because if it says babblings there they're gonna say well that's not babblings that's the Word of God right because it's but vain repetitions different because you're not supposed to just repeat it over and over again okay so that's one now in the same chapter go down to verse 16 this one's very prevalent right now because we just had ash Wednesday if you will last week I think because there's there's so many videos of all these celebrities with ash on their head now on their foreheads and I'm supposed to really respect them and think that they're godly so basically ash Wednesday they would have fat Tuesday where so ash Wednesday is basically when you start Lent okay and let me tell you something none of this is in the Bible none of it so Catholics that are listening if you're if your feelings are heard show me chapter and verse on Lent show me chapter and verse where we can't eat meat on Fridays or eat meat any day of the week show me chapter and verse on fat Tuesday or ash Wednesday and I'm gonna show you a verse that completely annihilates what you do on ash Wednesday it's hilarious how backwards it is okay so on ash Wednesday basic fat Tuesday let's say you're gonna give up eating donuts okay till Easter okay it's kind of this idea of like 40 days of fasting okay that's the idea so basically on fat Tuesday you just gorge yourself with Dunkin Donuts and then on Wednesday you confess your sin of gluttony and you get they literally take ash and they put like a cross figure on your head so you're basically walking around all day on Wednesday with this ash on your forehead okay now this goes so against what the Bible says here verse 16 notice this says moreover when you fast be not as the hypocrites of a sad countenance for they disfigure their faces that they may appear unto men to fast fairly I say to you they have their reward so the whole point of fasting is that people don't know that you're fasting you're not supposed to be telling everybody I'm fasting guys you know and tell them exactly what you're fasting for you just lost your reward you know if I fast for 40 days not eating donuts I'm not telling the soul about that I want my reward okay but but all the also on top of that it's interesting because notice what it says in the next verse but thou when thou fastest anoint then head and wash thy face what do they do the complete opposite they literally put dirt on their face you know when you think about anointing your face you think of you know someone being covered with sack cloths and ashes what does that represent morning and you know and they're in their deep sorrow he's saying wash your face don't be a sad countenance and what do they do they're sad countenance and they put ash on their face do you see how opposite that is and the Catholic Church is filled with that I'm giving you a little snippet of it okay now now in verse 18 just to finish this off it says that thou appear not unto men to fast but unto the thy father which is in secret and thy father which seeth in secret shall reward the opening listen I'm not against fasting if you want to take 40 days before Easter and fast on something more power to you but don't tell people about it unless you need to tell your your significant other you know like your your spouse for for reasons of like dieting or like hey honey don't make me this dinner because I'm not eating that okay that's that's legitimate okay because even in the you know it talks about not defrauding your your husband or your wife you need to have consent to do that so obviously you got to tell them okay so it's not saying you couldn't tell anybody but that's pretty much it is like people that you have to tell because you know there's no way you could fast without telling them okay now go to Matthew 23 because it's another place that the Catholic Church is just way off base with is calling these priests father baffling I mean the head of their cult church you know false religion what's his title the Pope which literally means father and they call him the Holy Father they're not even saying like you're a you know spiritual father unto me no they're calling him the Holy Father why don't you just call me everlasting father while you're at it so in math or Matthew chapter 23 Jesus is ripping face in this chapter okay on the scribes the Pharisees the hypocrites the blind guides knows what he says in verse 8 but be not ye called rabbi for one is your master even Christ and all ye are brethren and call no man your father upon the earth for one is your father which is in heaven neither be called masters for one is your master even Christ so you know put that in your pipe and smoke it when it comes to like I got a master in divinity well what did Jesus say should you be called master don't call me master and you say well we call you pastor you know what pastor means is a shepherd you call me a minister that means I'm ministering unto you meaning I'm I'm like your servant okay so Bishop is overseer but that's not master because you know why because we're not to be lords over the flock we're supposed to take the oversight there of not being lords of the flock okay so I'm not your master I'm your overseer but listen you can leave anytime you want you don't have to listen to me you know you choose to so and I think you know I'm glad you do but at the same time I'm not your master but we're not to call men that spiritual leaders father and this is what they'll say well you know are we not to call you know our physical fathers father you know what you've done you know what they've done with that and in Matthew 15 it says this in verse 6 it says thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition you know what you did is you took that commandment made of none effect now I'll say this I would stop calling my dad father which by the way I don't call him father come dad okay so you know you can do what you will with that but I would more likely say I'm not gonna call my my actual physical father father before I would say well I'm just gonna negate this verse completely that's what they're doing just completely this doesn't apply to anything then so obviously what we're talking about spiritual leaders because you just started off with rabbi and when you're talking about rabbi who you talking about you're talking about spiritual leaders in a religion okay so what are we dealing with in particular we're dealing with spiritual leaders being called rabbi so guess what Jews you shouldn't be calling yourself rabbis by the way you need to get saved second of all Catholic priests don't call yourselves father Baptist stop saying that you're a master divinity or that you're some like philosopher of doctrine or something like that like you're a doctor divinity those are lofty titles and the Bible says not to be called that so yeah in context that's what you're dealing with but I'll say this I'd rather stop calling my dad father then make the commandment of God of none effect so you know they but what do they do they call all their priests father holy father father forgive me for I have sinned you're talking to a man in a dress so I'm not even getting there's so many things I get on that right there is all their their their their dresses that they wear and just the weird you know I'm not getting into the pedophilia I already touched on that when it comes to the abominations I got into but I really want to park it on this Mary now listen I'm not against Mary I preach whole sermons about how Mary was a great woman of God and you know around Christmas time but today is not gonna be that day that I'm gonna be hitting on that today is gonna be the day that I'm really gonna take Mary and put her down a peg because and not that she does not that she would disagree with anything I'm about to say okay because I guarantee Mary be you know you know waving her hanky at me or something like that if she heard this because the Catholic Church literally worships Mary now say well we venerate her tomato some auto you burn candles under on tour and you pray in it and uh with like an altar with a picture of Mary you're like oh they don't do that I've been there I went to Catholic Church so you want to try to sell me a bill of goods go for it but I've been there I know that and all the idolatry that goes with that but Mary is like the big one okay now first of all is what they say go to Matthew chapter 1 they'll say well Mary remained a virgin after she gave birth to Jesus she never had physical relations with Joseph and she didn't have any children after that okay they also believe that she was void of original sin and basically just a sinless person okay but I'm gonna get into that now first of all she did have other children Jesus had brothers and sisters physically obviously they were half because Jesus didn't have a physical father Joseph was not his father but Mary was his physical mother okay that's why he was God in the flesh he had a physical mother with and he had physical brothers and sisters okay now Matthew chapter 1 and verse 24 it says then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel the Lord had bidden him and took unto him his wife and knew her not till knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son and he called his name Jesus how would that make sense at all first of all if he's the firstborn that he didn't have anybody else how are you the firstborn that'd be ridiculous feel like if I had one child and be like this is my firstborn well who's your other children oh that's all I got what you know the first it's the first day of the month there's only one though now if there's only one day in the month it would just be that day of the month okay but on top of that it says he knew or not till okay it wouldn't make any sense if he never knew her after that and this is obviously talking about how Adam knew his wife Eve okay you know the the the the due benevolence of a husband and wife but also go to Matthew chapter 13 Matthew chapter 13 because we're gonna see explicitly that it says he has brothers and names them off and actually you say wow this is just the Pharisees saying this well how about this one you know I in other the apostles Saul I none save James the Lord's brother in Galatians chapter 1 so James which is going to be one of the names you're gonna see here is the Lord's brother and we're talking physically right it's his half brother but in Matthew chapter 13 verse 55 it says is not this the carpenter's son is not his mother called Mary and his brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Judas and his sisters are they not all with us whence then hath this man all these things so they're saying don't we know Joseph don't we know Mary don't we know his brothers don't we know his sisters they're all here with us okay and they're not off the rocker because in other passages in the Bible you'll see where these men are brought up okay not the message James the Lord's brother we and he's the one that had the issues and and in the Church of Jerusalem with basically wanting to just stick with the circumcision and all that okay but how about this too you know what Jesus is talking to his brothers in John chapter 7 you know how to turn there but it says this in John 7 5 it says for neither did his brethren believe in him because this is when he says your time is already ready my time has not yet come because he's saying you know you don't believe on me yet his brothers didn't believe until later okay so his brethren he's talking about his brothers okay so they'll say well Mary's without sin we'll go to Luke chapter 1 Luke chapter 1 how would that make sense when it says for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God the only way that she could be without sin is if she's deity which she's not okay because their big thing is she's the mother of God that on the surface there should be something wrong with that the mother of God so God has a mother now you say well don't you believe Jesus God yeah I believe he's God but she's not the mother of his deity she's the mother of the flesh that he has of his humanity okay because in another place Elizabeth will say you know the mother of my Lord okay there's nothing wrong with that but it's not saying he's the mother of the deity of Jesus Christ because obviously the Son of Man was the Lord of the Sabbath you know the the physical man Christ Jesus you know was was Lord but in Luke chapter 1 notice in verse 46 this is Mary talking here so let's see what Mary has to say about herself okay Mary or Mary Luke 1 verse 46 and Mary said my soul doth magnify the Lord and my spirit hath rejoiced and God my Savior now let me ask you a question why would God be her Savior if she's not a sinner what is she getting saved from the wages of death you know if you want to be saved from something then it's gonna be sin it's gonna be hell and so obviously God was her Savior because she fits into the group with every single person that's ever been born the fact that she has sin now Jesus didn't have sin in him is no sin he was made in the likeness of sinful flesh but you know why it is because he didn't have a physical father because sin comes down from your father and and Adam through Adam all man all have sinned so you know where I got my sinful nature is from my dad now obviously Mary was sinful but that didn't get passed down through her seed that's why it's a big difference when it talks about her seed that's the common Genesis chapter 3 her seed doesn't have that sin nature okay the seed of man is where that comes from okay so I don't mean to get into the big deal with that but basically if God is her Savior then it'd be ridiculous to say that she never had sin go to 1st Timothy chapter 2 1st Timothy chapter 2 so this is just kind of a tour day force against the things they say about Mary she obviously was not eternal virgin because Joseph knew her after she brought forth her first born son she had four sons and cysts and and daughters we don't really know how many daughters but it's at least two okay so she at least had five children after Jesus okay it doesn't sound like an eternal virgin to me okay and there's nothing wrong with that listen that Mary was was married to Joseph of course they should be having children okay and so it's not like that's bad that's good because what does the Bible say I will do the younger women marry their children and guide the house that we're supposed to more you know we're supposed to multiply and replenish the earth I mean that's very biblical and very godly and there's nothing wrong with that but in their mind because they want their priests to be these celibate freaks they want marriage to mean something that's defiled listen marriage is honorable in all in the bed undefiled but whoremongers and vultures God will judge listen there's nothing sinful there's nothing unclean there's nothing that's that's not honorable when it comes to a man and his wife when it comes to those relations there's nothing wrong with that actually it's godly and actually you know what's wrong is if you don't do that with your with your spouse that's where you're defrauding your significant your your your your spouse your husband or your wife so but you can see why they're doing that though you know they're wanting to make virginity now listen virginity is great to hold on to if you're not married okay and if you don't want to get married then hold on to that that's great that's godly but listen if you're married and you're still a virgin you're in sin Mary would have been in sin and she would be disobeying the Bible if she was still a virgin married to Joseph for all those years okay obviously she's already a sinner but to say like that's godly that's completely opposite of godly that's not even my notes but I'm just bringing it up now the mediatrix okay I want to get to this because they say that Mary is the mediatrix okay well let's see what the Bible says about that go to 1st Timothy chapter 2 1st Timothy chapter 2 1st Timothy chapter 2 and verse 3 and again all this stuff I guarantee Mary would be up in heaven saying yes you know there's nothing wrong with it like I'm not I'm not demeaning Mary what I'm doing is putting her in a proper place as far as the fact that she's not deity she's not someone to be prayed to she's not this superhuman woman that the Catholic Church wants you to make her out to be by the way show me any place in after the Gospels where Mary's even brought up I mean did the Apostles mention her did anybody mention her after that okay the only thing I could think of is Revelation chapter 12 where you have the woman you know that gives birth to the child and then the dragon is trying to kill the child and obviously we know that's talking about Mary and how Herod and all that stuff but she's not even brought up by name okay and how about this woman what have I to do with thee that's what Jesus said to her when she said to Jesus they have no wine sounds like she's the Mediatrix here sounds like she's the high up person that Jesus regarded as her the mother of God he's didn't even call her mother he said woman what if I do they when he was on the cross he looked over at the disciple whom he loved and he says you know he already said to his to Mary he says woman behold thy son and then to John he said behold thy mother okay now I don't think he was being disrespectful I think he was just making a point because you know the same thing when they came to him and said you know why have you we've been we've been searching for you your father your mother have been working worrying about and Jesus said I must be about my father's business because he's making a point that Joseph's not my father I must be about my father's business and so again you know Mary is a great character in the Bible but we need to know that she's not what the Catholic Church is saying now first Timothy chapter 2 and verse 3 it says for this is a good and this is good and acceptable inside of God our Savior who have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth for there is one God and one mediator now can you underline one under that one mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time I don't know how the Catholic Church gets around this there's one mediator but what they tell you okay they tell you that Mary is the mediator mediatrix between you and Jesus you know like where they find that not in the Bible again chapter and verse chapter verse on that chapter and verse on purgatory chapter verse on all this garbage that you teach and put down people's throats because every time we go out soul winning people are like well you know there's purgatory where where do you see that well you know Pope so-and-so said it back in this day and they were a Pope so they made it canon whoop-dee-doo I don't care that that's not Bible that's not you know chapter and verse on any doctrine that I believe I'm gonna show you straight out of Bible I'm not gonna say well you know some Church Father back in the day said you know this is the way it was Josephus said over here Josephus was a Jew by the way so I'm not gonna look at you know historians and say okay this is what actually happened I'm gonna look at the Bible now there's one mediator that means Jesus is that mediator and this is this is uncanny okay this is what they say they say that Mary is the ladder to get to God okay it's almost like out of their own mouth you know out of the horses mouth they literally dig their grave okay I'm gonna show you that Jesus is actually the ladder okay go to Genesis chapter 28 Genesis chapter 28 actually you want to know that ladder is only mentioned one time in the Bible and it's in this passage okay so most of you probably a lot of you know where I'm going with this but I want to really just nail this down that if you're gonna talk about someone being a ladder you know who that's gonna be Jesus no Marvel because he's the one mediator between God and men there's no do you understand that if that just completely negates that verse because if you say well Mary's the mediator Jesus that means there's two mediators between God and men because you say well as mediators I don't care if you make it feminine it's still a mediator okay a mediator is just a feminine form of the word for mediator okay now in Genesis chapter 28 just to give you some context this is where Jacob is trapped you know he's kind of fleeing from Esau and you know getting into the fact of where he's gonna go to Laban he's gonna get married to Leah then Rachel and and all that that's going down and he has this vision or this dream if you will about this ladder okay so I don't want to go through the whole story for sake of time but in verse 12 there it says any dream and behold a ladder set up on the earth and the top of it reached to heaven and behold the angels of God ascended and descended on it and I didn't get the next verse there but it says that the Lord was on top of it I think in the next verse there I mean put some stuff on paper and then you don't you're like yeah I meant to put some more on there but bear with me for a second here so verse 12 27 it says in verse 13 and behold the Lord stood above it and said I am the Lord God of Abraham that thy father and the God of Isaac and at the land whereon that lies to thee will I give it and to thy seed okay so what do you have you haven't you have of this ladder where angels what did it say angels were angels of God ascending and descending on it right where's the ladder lead who's at the top of the ladder the Lord God right well go to John chapter 1 John chapter 1 and when you read through John chapter 1 you read this last version you're like where'd that come from you know what is this talking about but again when you see something like this when you see similar language you always want to find out where it was said before because a lot of times in the New Testament the Bible is using keywords or phrases to point you back to something it's like Revelation chapter 20 when it says Gog and Magog and it'll just kind of spit that out to you you know after the thousand rain it talks about Gog and Magog well the only other place that Gog and Magog are really mentioned is Ezekiel 38 and 39 talking about this battle okay and so it's pointing you back and this is exactly what Jesus is doing here but he just got done talking to the Daniel saying you know you're an Israelite indeed and whom is no guile but then going on in verse 51 there says and he says unto him verily verily I say unto you hereafter he shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon what the Son of Man and what were the angels descending upon in Genesis chapter 28 but on that ladder that led to God so Jesus is the one mediator between God and men he is the ladder between God and men not Mary okay say why you get upset about this because half my family grew up Catholic and half my feet and a lot of my family some of them I've won to the Lord okay praise God I got to win my grandma to the Lord and she's still alive but but she's kind of in the nursing home I won my mom to the Lord I won my brothers to the Lord I want you know like I won you know different people to the Lord and and influence other people some people may not have directly been one to me but cousins have been one to the Lord and that were Catholic or grew up Catholic okay now yeah so it yeah I don't like this religion do I love Catholics though yeah I do I love them I want him to get saved and listen when you out soul winning Catholics will 50% of time get saved they are not the most unreceptive group out there we're not talking about talking to Mormons or Muslims you know what's great about Catholics they believe the Trinity a lot of times and in a lot of times they grew up in Catholic Church they didn't really like it they were just like they were going there because their family went there but they had the foundation of like Jesus is the Son of God he died on the cross for my sins what they don't understand is that he paid for all of their sins and that is eternal okay so Catholics are some of the easiest people to get saved so I don't hate Catholics but I hate Catholicism and what it stands for you say are you done with Mary no I got one more okay go to Jeremiah chapter 7 because they literally call Mary the Queen of Heaven okay you don't believe me I mean there's literally there's a Catholic Church called the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church then there's the John the Baptist Catholic Church which is baffles me I'm like really John the Baptist Catholic Church okay but they literally have the Queen it you can look it up look it up online you'll find Queen of Heaven Catholic Church not Baptist Church Queen of Heaven Catholic Church now but even in their own literature and what they do they do these several literate logistical Marian feasts that celebrating throughout the the church year she is honored with many towns such as Queen of Heaven so when they do a lot of these fees they'll be they'd be like a feast to the Queen of Heaven if you will okay what's interesting is that term is in the Bible Queen of Heaven if you can imagine why the calmer Queen of Heaven because they call her the mother of God so if God's the king then that would make Mary the Queen okay but that is so unbiblical and in Jeremiah chapter 7 there is a Queen of Heaven but listen like I said with the Catholic Church it's not like the Catholic Church has popped up in 300 AD the Catholic Church has been before that it's been in Babylon it's been since Babel because the idea is a universal religion and listen it's not done because in the end times there's going to be our universal religion a universal currency and a universal government led by the Antichrist you say well as the Pope the Antichrist I I think he may be more so the false prophet he's gonna be something in that but you know but I do think that the Catholic Church is gonna be in that whole realm the Muslims the Catholic Church are gonna be lockstep in there pushing this ecumenism and we've already seen it where they're trying to hold hands with rabbis and you know all these these these Islam leaders and all this stuff so but in Jeremiah chapter 7 verse 17 it says seeest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah in the streets of Jerusalem the children gather wood and the fathers kindle the fire and the women need their dough to make cakes to the Queen of Heaven like well maybe they're just you know it's a prophecy of Mary okay you know and she's the Queen of Heaven that's to come well let's read about that it says in and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods that they may that they may provoke me to anger so is God happy about this now this is one of the big things that he's mentioning a wide Jerusalem is going to be completely destroyed and why Jerusalem is being taken over by Babylon verse 19 do they provoke me to anger said the Lord do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces therefore that's that the Lord God behold mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place upon man and upon beasts and upon the trees of the field and upon the fruit of the ground and it shall burn and shall not be quenched that's what God thinks about them baking cakes to the Queen of Heaven and what are they doing in the Catholic Church lighting candles and doing these these feasts to the Queen of Heaven you can't make this stuff up it's a conspiracy it's not a conspiracy my friends it's just the fact that this hat this is there's nothing new under the Sun the idea of someone else being the ladder to God the idea of baking these cakes to the Queen of Heaven this stuff has been around for a long time and the Catholic Church is just adopting it just like they adopted all their Saints from all these false gods that are out there so guess what this is exactly what the Catholic Church is doing they're baking cakes to the Queen of Heaven they're pouring out drink offerings to other gods insert they're baking cakes to marry and they're pouring out drink offerings to all the Saints that's what the Catholic Church is doing you say well you know the most Catholics don't understand yeah I think most Catholics are ignorant of what's going on here but does that make it right that cat you know I didn't understand all this you know I didn't I didn't know that the Queen of Heaven was something God was you know cursing to tough for and by the way right before this it talks about pray not thou for this people and then he gives the reason why you know and basically that God's not gonna hear the prayer and all this so now again I'm not against you know I'm not like here just hate on Catholics I'm here to open your eyes to what the Catholic Church actually believes and just some doctrines okay like I said I can't get them all because for sake of time but go to John chapter 6 so I hope that's very clear with Mary Mary is just she was a godly woman that that had you know the extreme you know honor of bringing in the Lord Jesus Christ I mean she was you know definitely blessed among women and I believe God picked her for a reason because he was actually just a very godly woman okay but all that other stuff that the Catholic Church attributes to her is just false okay now what I want to get into is transubstantiation transubstantiation be like what are you speaking in tongues it just means okay so transubstantiation is dealing with the Lord's Supper and basically what it means is that they believe during that whole process that they're doing up there with the Eucharist which is like their whole service that they're doing up there that that bread which is really styrofoam I mean has anyone been there's anyone else been the Catholic Church besides me and brother Anthony consider yourselves lucky you never tasted that garbage okay now when we do the Lord's Supper we make actual bread here okay it's unleavened but it's not styrofoam it's not like packing peanuts okay this stuff is horrible now what they say though is that well when they're doing this whole like rigor moreau up there that that bread turns into the actual body of Jesus and the wine which by the way in the Catholic Church is alcoholic okay that's why everybody that when we had the first Holy Communion we're all about it we're like oh we're getting to drink wine by the way you don't want to do that and it's not for the reason that you would normally think it's because everybody's drinking out of the same cup so you know I wonder what they're doing right now with the coronavirus going around is everybody just passing on that but I remember when I was the Catholic Church I didn't drink the wine because it's like these old people up there just like you know like you're like all right now I gotta drink that you know their dentures are falling out it I'm exaggerating but that's what you're thinking of okay now all that to say is that on a serious note they do literally think that this turns into the body and blood of Christ now go to John chapter 6 because this is where they're gonna probably take you to maybe they wouldn't maybe they don't even know where to take you to but it's kind of like when you run into the Church of Christ and you're like what you got to be baptized and I know it's in there and be like I don't know where it's at and be like it's Acts 2 38 man that's where you want to go you always know it's it's funny when you run into people you actually know more about where to find their doctrine than they do but in this this is where they're gonna pull from now I want you to go to verse 48 here in verse 48 it says so John 6 verse 48 this is Jesus talking he says I am the bread of life now first of all I want you to think about this do you think Jesus is actually saying he's a loaf of bread okay is anyone reading this back that Jesus is literally saying that he literally came down to the earth as a loaf of bread and he's a talking loaf of bread no one would think that okay but the Pharisees in their their their warped mind are just trying to pick him apart at this okay so obviously it's a spiritual we're talking about him being the bread of life meaning that he gives life and that obviously his words are like bread that you eat and all this now in verse 49 says your fathers did eat man in the wilderness and are dead this is the bread which came down from heaven that a man may eat thereof and not die now to give you an example of this you remember he talked about the rock that was in the wilderness where the water came out it says Christ is that spiritual rock okay so what he's doing here is he's spiritualizing the physical that happened in the Old Testament okay verse 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven if any man eat of this bread he shall live forever and the bread that I give is my flesh which I which I will give for the life of the world the Jews therefore strove among themselves saying how can this man give us his flesh to eat just right over the head and this is where the natural man receive it not things they got and this is how far people go to get around the truth and you've seen this right you know when you go out and you try to give someone the gospel you try to talk to them about something in the Bible and they and for sake of not agreeing with you they'll go to some ridiculous extremes okay and you're just like are you crazy like what are you talking about but you know what I love about this passage is that Jesus just doubles down on it and just gives it to him and I love this about him because instead of saying listen you're misunderstanding me he's like this is what Jesus says here verse 53 then Jesus said unto them barely barely I say to you except you eat my flesh eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you whosoever eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day for my flesh is meat indeed and my blood is drink indeed he that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood dwelleth in me and I and him as the living father has sent me and I live by the father so he that eateth me even he shall live by me so you see how he's he's not only just saying yeah that's what you know yeah you got to eat my flesh he literally takes everything he just said about the bread of life and applies it to his flesh and blood okay so this is so we need to be cannibals now now this is obviously a hard saying and his disciples knew this was a hard thing okay but he's putting it to the Pharisees and I love it about it I love that he's doing this because they're a bunch of blind guides that are just trying to basically discredit what Jesus is saying and they're finding anything to say against them and he literally just puts it to him and notice it keep reading though because he's gonna explain what he meant when he said that okay which is the same exact thing he meant when he was talking about him being the bread of life okay that you weren't actually gonna eat him like a piece of bread okay pour butter on there and eat it that's not what he's talking about this is a spiritual matter now going on from that notice in verse where did I stop there in verse 58 says this is that man that bread which came down from heaven not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead he that eateth of this bread shall live forever notice how he goes right back into the man the bread okay what he did there is easy is it he was illustrating how he's like bread but then he he basically took what they said and flipped their words on their heads and said yeah actually you do need to eat my flesh and blood because it's by my flesh and blood that you live because I have to the body has to be broken not the bones but the body has to be broken on the cross and the blood has to be shed for you to live so just as much as you're eating that bread that symbolized the bread that came down from heaven you have to eat my body so to speak spiritually speaking because it's the body and blood of Christ and that death-bound resurrection and why we're gonna get saved but he's gonna explain it and notice in verse verse 59 these things said he in the synagogue as he taught in Capernaum many therefore of his disciples when they heard this said this isn't hard saying who can hear it yeah so no one is saying like this is an easy saying to hear okay but when you see it in context of who even brought that up CG I don't believe Jesus was was going to say that in general right I don't think he was about to say that he said it to basically rebuke what the Pharisees just said and to put them to task okay now it says when Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it he said unto them doth this offend you what and if you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before notice this this is the answer it is the spirit that quickeneth the flesh profiteth nothing the words that I speak unto you they are spirit and they are life the whole point of everything he's saying in here is that you need to eat the Word of God because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God and he just got done saying in chapter 5 he that here is my word and believe it on him that sent me hath everlasting life and he shall not come into condemnation but his past from death and the light it's always about here the word believe it here the word believe on the son you have everlasting life and he's just giving you a picture of that because guess what the word was what made flesh the Word of God was made flesh and blood and unless you eat that Word of God you have no life in you and he's just putting that and he's any putting it into a hard saying for them to choke on it that's what he's doing with the Pharisees but the Catholics just eat this up fork and spoon they're just like the Pharisees I guess we got to eat a slush and blood it's like you're as blind as the Pharisees that choked on it back then now Universal Church and I'm getting out of time here so but the last one I did want to get to is the fact that Catholic means Universal okay and so what they're gonna say is that well the church is just as all-encompassing all believers are part of this one church okay I'm gonna disbunk that real quick because church literally means congregation or assembly okay so listen Mountain Baptist Church right now is this congregation that's in here right now you can't say that some other church down the road is a part of this congregation it's not it's a different church different congregation okay in Hebrew chapter 2 in verse 12 I just want you to see a definition the Bible defining itself on what church means okay this is where the Puritans actually when the Bible is when they were translating the King James Bible King James didn't like the Gideon Bible because they wouldn't use words like baptized they wouldn't use the word church they were all about basically the word just spelling out the meanings okay so if for baptism wanted to say immerse and for church they always wanted to say congregation or assembly whereas you know King James and the translator they wanted to have some synonyms in there and wanted to be able to use other words than just those words but in a lot of these cases they'll use it in one passage and then in the passages quoted they'll use the other word and you can see what it means it's very clear in Hebrew chapter 2 in verse 12 it says saying I will declare thy name unto my brethren and in the midst of the church while I sing praise unto thee now this is a quotation from Psalm 22 so Psalm 22 this is this is uh you know basically in Hebrews is just a big quotation of Psalms and you know the Old Testament but Psalm 22 verse 22 says I will declare thy name unto my brethren in the midst of the congregation well I well I praise thee so listen if you're a part of a church you're only part of church if you're in that congregation okay this building is not the church this building is just made up of you know brick it's made up of steel made up of concrete the building we can meet out in the parking lot and that's church not the building so a lot of times I'll say hey we're gonna meet up at the church building okay that's why you know when you get into well should women shouldn't speak in the church we're talking about when that's congregated together and you have preaching time okay or well you the building can be used for other things then the church service as well so you got to understand that that they'll say well women can't speak in church to be like if you're in this building you can't talk you know just gets into this weird stuff like that but also think about this too there will be a time we're all congregated together you know in heaven as one great multitude and guess what's gonna be called in in Hebrews chapter 12 and verse 22 Hebrews chapter 12 verse 22 this is talking about in heaven right now you can say okay well there's there's a single church up in heaven because they're all congregated together though okay notice what it says in Hebrews 12 verse 22 but ye are come unto Mount Zion and unto the city of the living God the heavenly Jerusalem to an innumerable company of angels to the general assembly and church of the firstborn which are written in heaven and to God the judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect so the general assembly so in heaven you have the general assembly but what do you have down here on earth churches by the way revelation was written to the seven churches in Asia you have the churches of Galatia and you have all these churches that are mentioned the Church of Ephesus you have the church that's at Philippi you have the church that's in Thessalonica you have all these different the church that's in their house you know and it talks about with Philemon and all these different places you have separate churches the churches at Jerusalem the churches in Judea by the way there's more churches than just that Jerusalem and at that time and so there's separate churches but guess what Jesus Christ is the head of every single one of those legitimate churches okay you say well how can that be it has to be one church if he's gonna be the head no did you forget that Jesus is omnipresent okay he walks in the midst of the candlesticks which are the seven churches of God yeah so he is the head of those churches okay but guess what in the Catholic Church who's the head the Pope and they'll even say you know when he's sitting on that throne of his then he's infallible like the Heavenly Father okay blasphemous garbage but the last thing I just want to point out is the Catholic Church believes in a false gospel spoiler they believe that you you you have to do good works to go to heaven you have to keep the sacraments that you can lose your salvation it's not just by faith and I just want to read I just want to do a little tour day for us this I'm gonna end it go to Romans chapter 3 you know what's interesting about this I'm going through Romans and we're talking about the Roman Catholic Church here okay maybe the Roman Catholic Church should get some tips from the Romans but Romans chapter 3 verse 21 it says but now the righteousness of God without the law is manifest as being witnessed by the law and the prophets even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe for there is no difference for all of sin and come short of the glory of God being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of God to declare I say at this time his righteousness that he might be just in the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus where is boasting then is excluded by what law of works nay but by the law of faith therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law are you done no go to Romans chapter 4 Romans chapter 4 and verse 1 what shall we say then that Abraham our father as pertaining to the flesh hath found for if Abraham were justified by works he hath where of the glory but not before God for what set the scripture Abraham believed God it was impute and it was counted unto him for righteousness now the him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace but of debt but the him that worketh not but believeth on him to justify the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness even as David also described the blessings of the man unto whom God imputed righteousness without works saying blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered covered blessed is the man that to whom the Lord will not impute sin for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works does any man should boast and if if by grace and is it no more works otherwise grace is no more grace it or I'm sorry work is yeah grace is no more grace but if it be of works then is it no more grace otherwise work is no more work sounds like it's by grace by faith not by works of righteous which we have done but according his mercy he saved us by the washing and regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior that being justified by his grace we might be made heirs of the hope of eternal life do you want me to keep going I'm gonna go one more Galatians chapter 3 even as Abraham believed God it was accounted to him for righteousness no no ye therefore that they which are of faith the same are the children of Abraham and the scripture foreseen that God would justify that he then through faith preached before the gospel unto Abraham saying in these shall all nations be blessed so then that they which be of faith are blessed with faith with Abraham for as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse for it is written cursed it is everyone that continueeth not in all things which are written in the book of law to do them but that no man is justified by the law on the side of God it is evident for the just shall live by faith all throughout the Bible it's by faith not by works Abraham was justified by faith not by works David was justified by faith not by works and guess what that's how we're justified we are fully persuaded that what he has promised he was able to perform and therefore is imputed unto him and obviously to us as well as the Bible teaches so the Catholic Church is wrong on many levels okay but the biggest level that you need to be looking at is the fact that they don't believe salvation is by grace through faith now they can say that all day long but as soon as they put in some work out there guess what they just negated everything I just read so anyway hopefully you got something out of that as far as like where the Catholic Church came from a little bit getting rid of those misconceptions as far as this Council of Nicaea and the fact that hey that's when they gave us the Bible Canon that's wrong or they even gave us the Bible you know no the Bible has always been around God said he preserved from this generation forever it's not the Catholics that did any of that all they did was corrupt Christianity that's what they did okay we are not Reformed Baptists by the way we are independent Baptists we don't have a forefather you know that's the difference okay we're not protesting the Catholic Church we're rebuking the Catholic Church for being wicked from the very beginning we're not trying to reform any of it I don't want any of their their garbage we like well they got the Trinity right okay a lot of people get the Trinity right that aren't Catholic so but anyway I need to stop there let's name the word prayer the only father we think of today and thank you for your word and Lord we just thank you for salvation and how simple it is and how it's just by faith and Lord I do pray that you would lead us to a bunch of Catholics that need to get saved and Lord we we've already got a chance to witness to many Catholics and many Catholics have believed the actual gospel and and Lord just pray to open their hearts help them to see the folly of the Catholic Church and to believe the Bible when it says that it's by grace and that it's not by works and and Lord just pray to be with us throughout this rest this week I pray to give us safety in our travels and Lord just bless us and help us to bring glory to your name in Jesus Christ name amen
