It was sent from heaven above. There never was a sweeter melody. Tis a melody of love. In my heart there rings a melody. There rings a melody with heavens harmony. In my heart there rings a melody. There rings a melody of love. I love the Christ who died on Calvary. For he washed my sins away. He put within my heart a melody. And I know is there to stay. In my heart there rings a melody. There rings a melody with heaven harmony. In my heart there rings a melody. There rings a melody of love. It will be my endless theme in glory. Let me please let me sing. It will be a song with glorious harmony. When the courts of heaven ring. In my heart there rings a melody. There rings a melody with heavens harmony. In my heart there rings a melody. There rings a melody of love. Amen. Wonderful singing. Let's start our first service with a word of prayer. Dear Lord God, Heavenly Father, we thank you for giving us another day, Lord, that we can come to your house and we can fellowship with our brethren, Lord, and spend time under this roof and hear the preaching of your word. I thank you for every precious soul that's in the building this morning, Lord, and I ask that you please bless his service today. I ask that you please fill past me here with your spirit as he preaches unto us, and please give us attentiveness in the congregation that we may leave here edified. We pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen. You may be seated. Please turn your songbooks to song number 63. Song number 63. What a day that will be. Song number 63. All together, nice and strong in the first verse. There is coming a day when no heartache shall come. No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye. All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore. What a day, glorious day that will be. What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon his face, the one who saved me by his grace. When he takes me by the hand and leads me through the promised land. What a day, glorious day that will be. There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear. No more sins to bear, no more parting over there. And forever I will be with the one who died for me. What a day, glorious day that will be. What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. And I look upon his face, the one who saved me by his grace. When he takes me by the hand and leads me through the promised land. What a day, glorious day that will be. Alright, great singing. Thank you so much for being here this morning. Welcome to First Works Baptist Church. Just a few announcements here before we sing our next song, which will be 325 Trust and Obey. If you want to get that ready in your songbooks, 325. If you did not get a bulletin, go ahead and raise your hand and one of the ushers can get one for you. Some important information on there. Of course, our Sunday morning service is at 1030 Sunday evening at 5 p.m. And then we have our Thursday night Bible study at 7 o'clock. We are currently going through the book of 2 Samuel on Thursday evening, so I hope to see you there. And just as a reminder, we are a family integrated church. And what that means is that the infants and children stay with their parents in the service. We don't have nurseries or Sunday school classes. But for your convenience, there is a mother baby room located in the back of the building should your child need some diversion. And there's changing tables, screens, and speakers available in those rooms as well. And you can come back into the service at your discretion. Of course, you see there the sowing teams and times, the list of expecting mothers. Congratulations to Ms. Debbie. I think they had their son this morning. I think it was at 2 a.m. or something like that to their baby boy, Elijah. I don't have all the stats, but I know his name is Elijah. So congratulations to Brother T and Ms. Debbie with that. And then you see the important reminders there at the bottom. The upcoming church events next week is the Belize missions trip. Saturday, February 26th through Sunday, March 5th. Of course, we've got a good group going out there. Different churches are also joining as well. And so pray that they would have a fruitful trip there. Pray for traveling mercies. Pray for a lot of people to get saved. And pray that we'd be able to collect a lot of information and keep in touch with the converts there. So that, Lord willing, in November we can have a preaching service and also baptisms. And so be in prayer over that. It might be a skeleton crew here next week. Because I know a lot of people are leaving for Belize next week. And so be in prayer over that. The men's prayer night is coming up on Friday, March 3rd. And then the ladies tea party is on Saturday, March 18th. Just the regular reminders there at the bottom. No food or drink allowed in the main auditorium except for water and coffee. Please make sure you abide by that. And then no loitering in the foyer or fellowship hall during the preaching service. And then of course quiet time is this afternoon from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the whole building. And please make sure you silence your phones during the preaching so as to not be a distraction during the service. And that is it. Let's go ahead and sing our next song. 325, Trust and Obey. Song number 325. Song number 325, Trust and Obey. All together on that first verse. When we walk with the Lord In the light of His word What a glory He sheds on our way While we do His good will He abides with us still And with all who will trust and obey Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus But to trust and obey Not a shadow can rise Not a cloud in the skies But His smile quickly drives it away Not a doubt or a fear Not a sign or a tear Can abide while we trust and obey Trust and obey To be happy in Jesus But to trust and obey Not a burden we bear Not a sorrow we share But our toil He doth richly repay Not a grief nor a loss Not a frown nor a cross But His blessed if we trust and obey Trust and obey For there's no other way To be happy in Jesus But to trust and obey But we never can prove Until all on the altar we lay For the favor He shows And the joy He bestows Are for them who will trust and obey Trust and obey For there's no other way To be happy in Jesus But to trust and obey Then in fellowship suite We will sit at His feet Or we'll walk by His side in the way What He says we will do Never fear, only trust and obey Trust and obey For there's no other way To be happy in Jesus But to trust and obey Amen. Wonderful singing. At this time the ushers will come forth to receive the offering. You can turn your Bibles to Judges chapter 16. You can turn your Bibles to Judges chapter 16. You can turn your Bibles to Judges chapter 16. Thank you. Judges chapter number 16, the Bible reads And it came to pass afterward that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. And the Lord of the Philistines came up unto her and said unto her, Entice him, and see where in his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him, and we will give thee, every one of us, eleven hundred pieces of silver. And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee. And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green wits that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man. Then the Lord of the Philistines brought up to her seven green wits which had not been dried, and she bound him with them. Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson, and he break the wits, as the thread of the toe is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known. And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me and told me lies. Now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man. Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound them therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there lies in wait abiding in the chamber, and he break them off from his arms like a thread. And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me and told me lies. Tell me, wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web. And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he waked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam and with the web. And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? Thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lie. And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him so that his soul was vexed unto death, that he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hast not come a razor upon mine head, for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb. If I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man. And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath showed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. And she made him sleep upon her knees, and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head. And she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as of other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him. But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Geza, and bound him with fetters of brass, and he did grind in the prison house. And he made him grow again after he was shaven. Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together, for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice, for they said, Our God hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand. And when the people saw him, they praised their god, for they said, Our God hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us. And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house, and they set him between the pillars. And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me, that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them. Now the house was full of men and women, and all the lords of the Philistines were there, and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women that beheld while Samson made sport. And Samson called unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee and strengthen me, I pray thee only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars, upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might, and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life. Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtael in the burying place of Manoah his father, and he judged Israel twenty years. Let's pray to the Lord God, I just thank you for this church, and for our pastor just ask that you would bless him with your Holy Spirit now as he preaches your word unto us, and just continue to bless our church, and in Jesus' name we pray, Amen. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
