Amen this evening we are in Romans chapter number 11 Romans chapter number 11 and this Romans chapter 11 is a great chapter it's a continuation of what we saw in Romans chapter 9 and as well as Romans chapter number 10 now a common theme that we'll see in the book of Romans obviously is this matter of justification right it's constantly talking about this matter of justification how it's not by works it's only by grace that you're justified only by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ but a second thing that we see a common theme as we mentioned before is this matter of the Jews ok Paul over and over and over again reiterates this matter that the Jews are not God's chosen people they're not the the seat of promise as the Bible talks about that save people are the people of God now this is a very important doctrine because there is a false doctrine out there called Zionism ok and it teaches that that Christ rejecting Israel is still the people of God even though there's clear scriptures throughout the New Testament that teach on the contrary for instance Jesus said himself the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and be given into a nation bearing forth the fruits thereof Jesus called the Jews the sons the children of the devil he says you have your father the devil and and he was a murderer from the beginning a boat not in the truth therefore he speak at the light when speak of the light speakers of his own for he's a liar and the father of it and he was speaking to the Jews at that time now there's plenty of scriptures to teach us and of course Romans chapter number two talks about it Romans chapter number three and four and then we pick up in Romans chapter 9 and 10 to talk about the same thing now Romans chapter 11 is basically the nail in the coffin ok I mean Romans 9 10 do a great job ok Romans 2 does a great job Romans 3 does a great job but Romans chapter number 11 is what Paul uses to just hammer this point down to solidify to confirm that the Jews are not God's chosen people now here's the ironic thing about this ok because those who believe that the Jews are God's chosen people the only part that they'll take you to is Romans chapter number 11 ironically now if you read Galatians now we'll look a little bit of Galatians today or tonight but much of Galatians basically destroys this doctrine of Zionism but if you quote any kind of scripture from Galatians chapter 3 or Galatians chapter number 4 or even Romans chapter number 2 or John chapter 8 or Revelation chapter 2 where it talks about the synagogue of Satan you can give them all kinds of scripture and they'll come up and they'll say yeah but you know what Romans 11 still says all Israel shall be saved ok by the way the Bible does say all Israel shall be saved ok but this is what this is how false doctrine is conjured up is by just taking one verse and ignoring the entire chapter ok so we're going to look at today we're basically tonight's basically the last night that we talked about this all right simply because Romans 11 deals very thoroughly in regards to this but let's look at verse number one Paul writes here I say then have God cast away his people God forbid now to those who believe that the Jews are God's chosen people I mean that's the end right there they'll quote that they'll say you know had God cast away his people God forbid they'll say there you go God hasn't cast away his people that's it you know let's pray but that's not what he says he says for I am also an Israelite of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin now you're in Romans 11 go to Romans chapter number 10 and verse 16 the latter part look what the Bible says here the Bible says but they have not all obeyed the gospel for Isaiah saith Lord who hath believed our report so then faith cometh by hearing hearing by the word of God but I say have they not heard yes verily their sound went into all the earth and their words and to the ends of the world but I say did not Israel know first Moses saith I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people and by a foolish nation I will anger you but his eyes is very bold so Moses is the first guy to come to kind of step up to the plate and say look God's gonna provoke you to jealousy Israel but then he's Zias which is Isaiah is very bold the Bible says and says I was found of them that sought me not I was made manifesting to them that asked not after me but to Israel he saith all day long have I stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people and look if you study the Old Testament for any length of time you will see a pattern of the nation of Israel that they're constantly going out and and and worshipping false gods they're worshipping Baal they're forsaking God in his covenant over and over and over and over again and that's why as Isaiah says this is a disobedient and gainsaying people and by the way he's speaking through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost God is saying I've stretched out my hand to you talk about the hand of the Lord that can save to a disobedient and gainsaying people so he finishes off Romans chapter 10 on a hard note okay he's like man I've been stretching forth my hand to you guys you're gainsaying you're disobedient and he finishes off chapter 10 on that note but then he starts off he says I say then had God cast away his people so it's just like it almost seems that yeah it looks like he cast them away because it seems in Romans chapter number 10 that he just fed up with Israel right and those who believe that the Jews are God's chosen people would use verse number one but you got to understand some here Paul here stating that God has not cast away his people why because Paul who is a saved man right is of Israel the seed of Abraham and of the tribe of Benjamin now it'd be different if Paul said you know had God cast away his people God forbid for Nicodemus right is of the is of Israel that would be different like okay maybe these guys have a point here because Nicodemus before he spoke to Jesus wasn't even saved right or anybody else or what if he said for the Pharisees right are of Israel of the tribe of whatever and so on and so forth but he's not saying he's at Paul who we know is a saved person now go to Philippians chapter number three hold your place there in Romans chapter 11 we're gonna we're gonna go back to that now if there's anyone who can talk who has weight when it comes to this subject is the Apostle Paul and why is that look at the look at the Philippians chapter 3 in verse number 3 says for we are the circumcision which worship God in in the spirit and rejoicing Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh now often within the New Testament the Bible will refer to Jews as the circumcision okay and they refers to everybody else as the uncircumcision well Paul saying here we are the circumcision but then he clarifies who that is he says which worship God in spirit and rejoice in who in Christ Jesus so when he says that we are the circumcision he's actually referring to saved people why is that because Romans chapter 2 verse 28 says for he is not a Jew which is worn outwardly neither is that circumcision of that of the flesh made by hands but he is a Jew which is worn inwardly and circumcisions that of the heart so what he's referring to is the circumcision of the heart in the spirit not of the letter whose praises not a man but of God and look what it says verse number 4 says though I might also have confidence in the flesh if any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he must he might trust in the flesh I more circumcise the eighth day of the stock of Israel of the tribe of Benjamin and Hebrew of the Hebrews as touching the law of Pharisee concerning zeal persecuted in the church touching righteous the righteousness which is in the law blameless so man this guy has a pretty pretty legit pedigree right I mean he has where of to talk in other words right he said look I know what you guys are talking about I'm a Pharisee of the Pharisee I was zealous I was persecuted in the church I'm of the tribe of Israel but look what he says in verse number seven but what things were gained to me those I counted loss for Christ yea doubtless I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but done that I might win Christ so you know what he's saying all those things don't mean anything to me they're done and by the way done means crap if you guys didn't know that if you see them in the Bible you see the word dung means it means feces okay a dung hill all right that's how Paul views his pedigree of being a Pharisee and the funny thing is is that you got people today that believe that the Jews are God's chosen people they said well they're of Israel don't you know they have a covenant don't you know they're of Israel they're of Benjamin they're of all these things they're steaming they're done whereas Paul the Apostle says I count this stuff but done it doesn't mean anything to me why it says there in verse number nine and be found in him not having my own righteousness which is of the law but that which is through the faith of Christ the righteousness which is of God by faith so he says the reason I counted but dung is because I have no righteousness according to the law why because the Bible says as it is written there is none righteous no not one the Bible says we are all as an unclean thing and our righteousness are as filthy rags and if there's anybody who we would say is or was a righteous man was Paul why because he tried to obey the law to the T I mean this guy was zealous he was persecuted in the church he was he would be the one who we would say yeah that guy's a definitely an Israelite trying to keep the law gain the righteousness by the law but he said it was done okay he said it meant nothing so go back to Romans chapter number 11 so we see here that he's when he talks about the circumcision in Philippians chapter 3 is referring to safe people so well I think he's still talking about himself as far as like you know being an Israelite well that wouldn't make any sense because the Bible says who worship God in spirit and rejoicing Christ Jesus you say well what difference does that make well Jews don't do that Jews don't rejoice in Christ Jesus read the Talmud and see what they think of Jesus Christ and by the way if you think it's offensive for me to get up and say that all that stuff is crap you ought to see how offensive they treat the Lord Jesus Christ in the book of Talmud when they said that Jesus Christ is burning in hell in his own dung beat that he said they're saying that Jesus Christ is in in hell burning and fiery excrement the Bible's not the Bible the Talmud says their Bible okay that's what they believe I mean I don't know of any religion that would so blast that's so blasphemous towards the Lord Jesus Christ as Judaism okay even Muslims they revere Jesus Christ as being a prophet a good man and any other religion well it has some sort of reverence to him if you talk to any religion you say is Jesus burning in hell they'll be like no I think he was a prophet that he was a good man now they don't believe he's God but they wouldn't go as far as to say he's burning in hell whereas the Jews of Judaism actually say that guy's the son of Belial the son of Baal the the bastard son of Mary who's burning in hell now that's that's obviously blasphemy now Romans chapter 11 so he says there look God hath not cast away his people why he says because I'm a Benjamin I'm an Israelite and I'm saved so obviously he's not cast away right verse number two goes on to say God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew okay now go go back to Romans chapter number eight go to Romans chapter number eight now what does that mean which he foreknew look at verse 29 of Romans chapter number eight the Bible says here for whom he did foreknow he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the firstborn among many brethren moreover whom he did predestinate them he also called and whom he called them he also justified and whom he justified them he also glorified what shall we then say to these things if God be for us who can be against us so on and so forth so it's talking about again who save people because whom he did foreknows referring to saved people go back to Romans chapter number 11 it says why ye not what the scripture saith of Elias so that word what means don't you know you know when he says what you know I'm he's like don't you know these things and let me say there's a lot of people who believe in this false doctrine that the Jews are God's chosen people they don't know what the scripture saith they simply don't know and by the way we were all there at one time I was I was there believing that the Jews were God's chosen people at one time I never preached it but I believed it if you're at asking I'm like yeah God's chosen people you know but I never looked into the subject myself until I actually started studying it and the Bible clearly taught that they're not but why because of ignorance why you not what the scripture say then look what says why you know what the scripture saith of Elias who's Elias let's talk about Elijah how he maketh intercessions to God for Israel so it says look what it says maketh intercessions to God against Israel now that's good that's contrary to what a lot of Christians are teaching in churches today right pray for Israel you know bless them that bless thee and curse them that curse you and you know pray for Israel pray you gotta pray for Israel if you want God's blessing you gotta pray for Israel well I guess Elijah wasn't blessed because he made into it by the way the word intercessions means pray right but he made it against Israel and by the way side note Elijah is a godly man he's a man who's subject to like passions right he's a very integral character of the Old Testament but even he prayed against people so when people say oh you shouldn't pray against you know people and all these things Elijah did and by the way the Bible says that the Old Testament was written for our admonition and our what learning right so if these guys are written for our admonition or our learning guess what I'm learning from Elijah to pray against certain people look what it says pray excuse me how he maketh intercessions to God against Israel now look what he's saying skip down to verse number oh excuse me what verse are we in here what you not that what the scripture say that relies how he maketh intercessions to God against Israel saying no I'm sorry this is what I was gonna say so he's now you can see a distinction it's talking about Elias which is Elijah and it's talking about Israel well hold on a second I thought Elias was part of Israel right but here it's saying the Elias is praying against Israel therefore he's not with Israel but we would obviously say that he's an Israelite according to the flesh right so who is this talking about look skip down to verse number four and it'll tell you who it's talking about but what say it the answer I've gotten to him I have reserved to myself 7,000 men who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal so according context who is who is Elijah talking to he's talking to Israel yes but he's talking to people who are bowing down to the image of Baal okay now let me ask you just a logical question can you be the people of God and yet bow your knees to the image of Baal Baal in the Bible is just another word for Satan the devil okay and we're gonna go there just a bit in first Kings chapter 19 of this story but it says this Israel obviously because Elijah wasn't bound his knee to Baal right who's bound his knee to God he was the one who's standing up for the Lord during this time in first Kings chapter number 19 but he's praying against Israel why because they're the ones bound down their knees to Baal so you can't be the any even those who would disagree with us on this subject would agree if you're a Christian if you're saved you're not gonna buy your knees to Baal who's the devil you know unless you're some sort of infiltrator that's not really saved obviously but a safe person who has the Holy Spirit of God living within them someone who believes in Jesus Christ he has him as a Savior would never bow their knees to Baal I mean a Christian can get into some pretty crazy stuff wouldn't you agree they can get into drunkenness they'll get into fornication they'll get into slander they'll get into all kinds of sins but you know one sin they won't get into is bowing their knees to Baal it's a false God right even though what with the most backslitting Christian do you ever meet you know we'll never do something like that I mean you have to be a son of the devil to buy your knee to Baal because there's people who are there who are not even saved who wouldn't do such a thing you know they have like a certain reverence towards God they believe in God they believe in Christ Catholics who obviously we wouldn't we wouldn't say that they're saved but they they understand that Jesus Christ is the Son of God right they believe in what and what the Bible teaches about the Trinity so on and so forth but they wouldn't necessarily bother now they're bound to images of Mary obviously but I'm talking about to say are you bound down to the image of Baal where obviously they're being deceived not knowing that Mary obviously is a devil but to say hey would you bow yourself to the image of Baal who is a devil they would say no of course not so these people has a specific category of people who obviously are not children of God they're not they're not the people of God they're the they're the people of the devil okay now go to first Kings chapter 19 because we're gonna go to where this is referenced here in first Kings chapter 19 I like Elijah's example amen he made intercessions against Israel and anyway some some anybody anybody who tells me oh you're pray for Israel you know we should say yeah you're right we should pray for Israel pray against them okay because they're Christ rejecters okay first Kings chapter 19 and verse 14 excuse me let's see here first number four let me turn to myself just in case I got this wrong here first Kings chapter 19 verse 14 the Bible says and he said I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts this is Elijah speaking because the children of Israel look what it says have forsaken thy covenant and by the way the reason why the Jews in Israel have been replaced as well we would believe as replacement theology it's because it's for this reason right here they forsake him the covenant that God made with them they began to serve other gods they forsaken thy covenant throw down thine altars and slain thy prophets with the sword and I even I only am left and they seek my life to take it away verse skip down to verse number 18 the Bible reads here yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel this is God speaking now all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal and every mouth which have not kissed him okay so he's saying look I bow that I've reserved them to me I've left them to me seven thousand prophets who have not bowed the knee to Baal now were these seven thousand prophets like all in legitimate just like all no they're actually hiding right Elijah was the one who was actually out there doing the work of God but these people were saved there were seven thousand prophets who God reserved so what it's saying here is at this point in time in Elijah's time okay does the ratio of safe people to unsaved people just like it is today was seven thousand to everyone else because there's a bunch of people who are who are bowing down the image of the bale and read the whole entire chapter but there were seven thousand who had not bowed the knee to Baal save people so go back go to Hebrews chapter number eight Hebrews chapter number eight now this is very important to understand okay this is very important to understand because some for some reason people think that the Jews are God's chosen people simply for the fact and they'll tell you because they have a covenant with God I mean I ran into Jews I ran into a Jew who said that I'm going to have a wife because I got a covenant with God but the problem is is that they broke that covenant okay and look at Hebrews chapter 8 verse number 7 the Bible says here for if that first covenant had been faultless then should no place have been sought for the second look what it says in verse number 8 for finding fault with who them he saith behold the days come saith the Lord when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel with the house of Judah not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt because they continue not in my covenant and look what it says and I regard of them not saith the Lord for this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days saith the Lord I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people so the Bible say and by the way this is a quote from Jeremiah and in Jeremiah it says that they kept not the covenant and he was a husband unto them okay Hebrews chapter 8 says I regard of them not why because in the Old Testament he was a husband unto them but because they kept not the covenant of God and Hebrews chapter 8 guess what he doesn't regard them anymore okay now does it regard save people who are in Israel absolutely but you got to understand that we're referring to the nations okay nation of Israel by and large has rejected Christ and because of that they're no longer the people of God go back to Romans chapter number 11 so look at the contrast there so it's saying Elias prayed against Israel made intercessions against Israel God responded answered his prayer and he basically said look there's seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Bell so why is Paul sharing this testimony of Elijah in Romans chapter 11 what significance is there of that story in Romans chapter 11 well the significance is this look at verse number five says even so so what does that mean just like likewise right at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace so you compare that to verse number one where says have God cast away his people God forbid why because even at this present time there's a remnant the remnant is referring to the seven thousand just like in Elias's day there is a remnant according to the election of grace now what is the election of grace that simply means someone who is saved okay you said all the elect are referring to Jews they're God's chosen people that's why they call them the elect well this chapter is going to debunk that real fast okay so there's still a remnant of those who believe in Paul's day but not just in Paul's day there's there's people who are Jews or no longer Jews obviously but they're of Israel who are saved today and even just all around the world the remnant the elect are us save people okay look what verse number six says and if by grace then it is no more of works otherwise grace is no more grace but if it be of works then it is no more grace otherwise work is no more work now verse six is a very popular verse that I like to use when I go out soloing just just to show the distinction between works and grace and you can't trust in your works and you can't trust and Christ to be saved it can't be both the Bible says for right grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works that steady man should boast not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us the Bible says therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law okay I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck the mind of my hand so over and over and over again the Bible teaches us that salvation is by grace is by faith alone not by works you can't have both so someone who says they believe in Christ but they say but I feel like you know you you got a you got to still work you gotta keep the laws of God you got to maintain a good relationship with God that person is not saved why because it has to be 100% and this verse proves that and if by grace then it is no more of works otherwise grace is no more grace what does that mean if you say you're trusting in Christ but you're still trusting in your works you've just made null and void the grace of God to save you it has to be 100% faith in Christ alone to save you okay now why would Paul the Apostle put verse number six in Romans chapter 11 simply for the fact that those who are Jews according to the flesh what are they trusted in their works work what kind of works the works according to the laws okay now go to Romans chapter number nine Romans chapter hold your place on Romans 11 Romans 9 and verse number 30 says what shall we say then that the Gentiles which followed not after righteousness have attained to righteousness even the righteousness which is of faith but Israel which followed after the law of righteousness hath not attained to the law of righteousness so even though they were keeping the laws they were doing everything they were supposed to be doing outwardly in the flesh the Bible says they didn't attain to righteousness and in Romans chapter number 10 says they're going about they're going about to establish their own righteousness and they're ignorant of God's righteousness how are they going about to establish their own righteousness by doing the works of the law okay look what it goes on say verse 32 wherefore because they sought it not by faith but as it were by the works of the law for they stumbled at the stumbling at that stumbling stone that is rich as it is written behold I lay in Zion a stumbling stone a rock of offense and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed who's that referring to Jesus Christ you see the Bible tells us that he Jesus came into his own and his own received him not so those who did not receive him stumbled at the stumbling stone which is the rock of offense referring to Jesus Christ okay why because the Bible says that when John the Baptist was preaching he says think not within yourselves that you have Abraham to your father for I tell you now that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham so these people these Jews these Israelites according to the flesh we're trusting in the fact that they were Jews according to the flesh and therefore there were sons of Abraham well the Bible tells us clearly you know we which are of faith are children of Abraham okay now go back to Romans chapter number 11 so that's why it says that in verse number six if it be of grace then there's no more of works otherwise grace is no more grace so they can't say well you know we trust in Christ but we still got to make sure we keep the law of Moses it doesn't work that way and look one thing that they failed to understand is that the law was never given to them to keep in order to be saved the Bible says in Galatians that the law was their schoolmaster to bring them unto Christ it was a schoolmaster something that teaches you you know you you see the Ten Commandments and by the way there's far more than Ten Commandments but the most common of the Ten Commandments and you realize I can't keep all this how am I supposed to be saved I can't keep all this and it helps you to recognize your need for a Savior it's supposed to lead you to the feet of Christ where you can be saved verse number seven what then Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for now remember when we said that there's people out there to believe that the Jews are God's elect they'll tell you that they'll say the Jews are God's elect they're the elect of God you know well then you're gonna have to explain verse number seven to me then okay what then Israel hath not obtained that which you seek it for but the election hath obtained it and the rest were blinded so if Israel is the elect then Paul's like schizophrenic or something because he's like Israel is not tamed but the elect have to obtain it well if the elect are Israel that would make no sense okay it makes no sense whatsoever he's saying Israel have not obtained that which you seek it for well what is he seeking for he's seeking for righteousness according to the works of the law but the elect hath obtained it and the Bible says and the rest were blinded the rest is referring to Israel okay now look at verse 8 says according as it is written God have given them the spirit of slumber eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear unto this day man that's scary okay what does that saying because Israel by and large has rejected Christ this is the way it works okay the way it works is this when you reject Christ God actually rejects you and there comes a point in time where you could no longer be saved okay there comes a point in time and you say well what if they what if someone just doesn't understand the gospel that's different I'm talking about people who clearly just say I don't want it don't give me the gospel I don't want it I don't like God I hate him whatever that person's been rejected of God okay and someone who's rejected of God according to Romans chapter 1 someone who's given over to a reprobate mind God gave them up but the Bible says to a reprobate mind so I don't believe God will do something like that according as it is written God hath given them the spirit of slumber God is the one who's given the spirit of slumber eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear so God is the one who did that to them he said all right you want to reject it then I'll give you a spirit of slumber so you can't see and you can't hear can't see what the gospel can hear what the gospel so they can be saved okay and this is not this is not just something for the Jews this is for everyone okay now this is a quote from Isaiah chapter 6 and verse number 9 you don't have to turn there go to Mark chapter 4 Mark chapter number 4 I'm gonna read you from Isaiah chapter 6 and verse number 9 where the Bible reads here and he said go and tell this people hear ye indeed but understand not and see ye indeed but perceive not make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and convert and be healed man that's rough he's like shut their eyes I don't want them to see shut their ears I don't want them to hear that's in stark contrast to the God that people preach about today isn't it the God wants everyone to be saved which he does but there comes a point where someone rejects God to the point where God says shut their ears shut their eyes they're not gonna be saved you know wait a minute hold on brother Bruce forgot so love the world that he gave his only begotten son the who so ever believed in him should not perish but have everlasting life yeah but there's a select people a group of people in this world they will reject Christ I'm talking about from the very beginning where they just like I don't want Christ at all okay and the Bible says God gives them a spirit of some spirit of slumber excuse me mark chapter 4 verse number 11 look what it says and he said unto them unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God but unto them that are without are these things are done in parables that seeing they may see and not perceive man that's messed up you know people say like what I mean people have asked this question why would God say that I don't understand this scripture why is it saying in that verse that they may see and not perceive and hearing they may hear and not understand lest at any time they should be converted and their sin their sins should be should be forgiven them I mean that's rough he goes I don't want them to see I don't want them to hear because if they do then they can be forgiven look and if you don't disagree if you don't agree with this then you need to come up to me after the service and explain what that verse means right there you need to pull me aside and say you're wrong Caleb Robertson said went into the Greek and he said this okay no it says it right there that they should not see lest they should be converted and I should heal them right and their sins should be forgiven them this is I mean it's in the Bible you know and by the way this isn't referring to us we're saved already amen if you place your faith in Christ you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ you're once saved always saved thank God for that amen verse number nine says and David say it let their table be made a snare I'll go back to Romans chapter 11 excuse me I'm sorry Romans chapter 11 verse number nine so in Romans the letter end of Romans chapter 10 Moses gets on Israel Isaiah gets on Israel Paul's getting on Israel in Romans chapter 11 Elijah's praying against Israel then Isaiah jumps in again right and and and bashes Israel and then out David's getting in the mix now everything up until this point has been pretty rough I mean put your seat belts on because it's about to get even more rough okay because look people you know this whole thing with Caleb Robertson that I'm praying that you know he dies and all these things people and that you know all these things that I pray against them through the hall you shouldn't do that man that's that's what you know God wants him to be saved okay David in the Bible is a man after God's own heart this is a godly man right I think everyone would agree he wrote the book of Psalms I mean he's he's a very important character in the Bible okay yeah he's King David I mean he's a sweet psalmist of Israel this is a very important character in the Bible he's obviously he's a safe man obviously right and David say look at verse number nine this is David not me I'm trying to follow his example let their table be made a snare now snare is something like a trap so it's a preconceived trap that you place for someone it's like when you put place a snare for a foul the Bible says a bird you place a trap there you know a preconceived trap so they can be cock David is not just talking about a bird he's talking about the Jews here look what it says let their table be made a snare and a trap and a stumbling block and a recompense unto them let their eyes be darkened that they may not see and bow down their back all way okay now two verses right I mean that's pretty rough right there now let's go back to Psalm 69 where this is actually quoted from okay so Paul pulls out verses 9 through 10 he writes verses 9 through 10 thinking of Psalms chapter 69 where actually David said this so we can go back to Psalm 69 and he's talking about the same people right he's talking about the same exact people because if not Paul shouldn't be quoting them because Elias was talking about Israel Moses is talking about Israel Paul's talking about Israel so therefore David's talking about Israel as well now Psalm 69 is a lot more broad of a passage dealing with what we just talked about look what it says in Psalm 69 verse 22 the Bible says let their table become a snare before them and that which should have been for their welfare let it become a trap let their eyes be darkened that they see not and make their loins continually shake pour out thy indignation upon them man that's rough and let thy wrathful anger take hold on them this is not David praying like you know bless them let them build their wall on their building their temple he's not saying that by the way Christians all around the world need to like take heed to Psalm 69 verse 25 let their habitation be desolate man he doesn't even want them to have a place to live and let none dwell in their tents so so not only does he want to you know he wants their homes to be desolate he doesn't want to have a tent verse 26 for they persecute him whom thou has smitten and they talked to the grief of those whom thou has wounded who is he talking about talk about Jesus they smitten Jesus so he's not just saying this just to say it okay David under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost obviously there's a lot of verses within the book of Psalms that are talking about the coming Christ okay and this is so he's referring to Jesus Christ and by the way they did reject them they spat on them they smote him they they lied about him they slandered him they nailed him to the cross so well those are the Romans no no the Jews crucified Jesus Christ okay they use the Jews to do it I mean excuse me the Romans to do it but they said his blood be on us and on our children so go ahead basically said blame us his blood's on us just crucify him and even when Jesus Christ resurrected from the grave the Pharisees went to the soldiers and say look say that he didn't say that someone took his body I mean this is bad you would think that every resurrected like oh dang we were wrong this guy was the Christ he actually resurrected from the grave let's go find out I want to believe on him no they're like here here's some money look we'll cover you just say that someone took his body I mean that's wicked that's evil okay that takes a special kind of evil all right verse 27 add iniquity unto their iniquity good night she's like they already have iniquity but just add some more to it and let them not come into thy righteousness now verse 28 is the coup de gras of this chapter what David remember this just keep in mind this is David saying this about the Jews verse 28 let them be blotted out of the book of the living and not be written with the righteous he's saying don't even let them be saved by the way the book of the living is the book of life okay whosoever's name is not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire okay David obviously knew about that scripture because that's what he's saying I want them to go to the lake of fire so therefore let their names be blotted out of the book of the living the Bible says this is David saying this so when people like tell me oh you know you shouldn't pray for this look I don't believe in violence I'm not a violent person okay I don't believe that we ought to lift up our hands against anybody but praying that people die or praying that some bad happens to evil people I'm not just talking about people you just have a grudge against that guy didn't pay me I'm gonna pray that he dies you know that's wicked okay the Bible talks about the workers of iniquity these are evil wicked people okay there is a people in this world there are people in this world that are wicked they're evil okay and God and look David's prayer is for those those types of people okay by the way the Bible says that God hates all workers of iniquity well doesn't God love everyone no he doesn't there's certain people that he hates and look and if there wasn't people that he hated then God would be an unjust God then hell wouldn't exist why does hell exist can you love someone and send them to hell absolutely not I mean you would if you were to describe hell it's it's the maximum it's the maximum representation of how much you would hate someone to send someone to an eternal fire forever where there's no rest day or night there's weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth okay that's a pretty bad place I don't think you could say you say you love someone then you send them to hell right there comes a time when when the Bible says that God does hate someone and look David who's a man well this was David was sinning when he said this this is under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and all scripture is given by inspiration of God is profitable for doctrine for reproof for correction instruction and righteousness but not only that people get on me because I pray that that's the some wicked false teacher who's leading people to hell you know pray that he dies they get mad at me but here's the thing the Bible actually commands us to sing this in Ephesians it says speak to yourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs well news flash Psalm 69 is found in the book of Psalms I don't know if that's it is that a song does anybody knows the name we put that to a song yet you know let's try it let's see let them be blown give me a tune someone give me a tune let them be blotted out of the book of the living and not be written with the righteous I don't know but the Bible says we're supposed to sing that it's a command he says speak to yourselves it didn't say if you want so speak to yourselves in Psalms and look when you pray for people who are evil for bad something bad to happen to them that's not evil in fact that's actually that's like a stress reliever actually because you're giving it unto the Lord you ever been frustrated with someone you know and well the Bible says that when you pray these things when you pour out your heart you think of a mother who's lost their child to a child murderer how is that mother supposed to be consoled other than to know that there's a God in heaven who's righteous he's just who will execute punishment upon that wicked doer that creates consolation within the heart of a person okay and so you know if you think that the Jews are God's chosen people then you need to take it up with David because David said a lot worse things that I have against the Jews okay they gave hike a strike they gave our channel a strike because of hikes and sermon you know a sermon against the Jews you know well you know they would give I don't know what they would give David if he had a channel they just just cancel his entire channel and look you said oh you're just hateful yeah but we got a lot of love too we see people I mean right before the service we saw I think six to seven people saved you know we're getting people saved and that's that's because we love sinners we want to go out there knock on doors put in our time from what we're doing to see people saved okay I spent too much time on that but I mean David said it all right go back to Romans chapter number 11 and then look that's a hard teaching if you've never heard something like that but here's the thing if it's foreign to you and you're just like I don't know about that if you're saved and you have the Holy Spirit of God living within you you can't deny that that's what the Bible saying right there okay bottom line all right verse 11 says I say then have they stumbled that they should fall God forbid but rather to their fault is come excuse me through their fall salvation is coming to the Gentiles for to provoke them to jealousy now we won't have time to get into it necessarily but basically when it when the Bible talks about Gentiles in the New Testament it's actually referring to nations because if you go back to see where this is referenced from and Deuteronomy 32 and other portions and when you compare Deuteronomy 32 to Romans 15 Romans 15 says Gentiles rest of Deuteronomy 32 says nations okay so you can compare scripture with scripture and realize when the Bible talks about Gentiles in the New Testament's actually referring to nations all right now verse number 12 says now if the fall of them that be the riches of the world and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles how much more their fullness for I speak to you Gentiles in so much as I am the apostle of the Gentiles I magnify my office if by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh and might save some of them so verse 14 goes to show that Israel is not saved because he's looking to provoke them to emulation which the previous verse says jealousy provoked him to jealousy emulation means jealousy and it says that I might save some of them going to show that Israel is not saved okay verse 15 for if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world what shall the receiving of them be but life from the dead by the way that's that's all it will be okay it's not like they get some special spot in the kingdom of God you know if they turn to Christ that's what they get saved amen why because God is not a respecter of persons and once you get saved there is neither Jew nor Gentile nor bond nor free for all are one in Christ Jesus verse 16 says for if the first fruit be holy the lump is also holy if the root be holy so are the branches this very practical wording here verse 17 and if some of the branches were broken off and thou being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them and with them partake us of the root and fatness of the olive tree boast not against the branches but if thou boast thou bearest not the root but the root thee what is it saying those who are God's chosen people today obviously we should not boast in the sense of wall I'm God's chosen people because I'm Guatemala okay by the way I'm Guatemalan okay I'm what you would call a chappin you know I should never boast and say you know yeah I'm a Christian cuz you know and Guatemala is buying by and large a Christian nation you know which is obviously not true but that's what that's what that would mean to boast because that's what they did and by the way they made their boast in the law according to the Word of God okay verse 20 says well because of unbelief they were broken off and now standest by faith be not high minded but fear for if God spared not the natural branches take heed lest he also spared not thee so what is the same obviously when it's talking about the branches this is referring to nations just as the nation of the the kingdom of God was taken from from Israel given a given over to a nation bearing forth the fruit stir of that's happened throughout the years you know England at one time was a chosen nation why because that's where the hotbed of Christianity was where they're sending out missionaries the gospel was getting out you go to England today I mean it's as dead as last year's Christmas tree they're not for Christ anymore but there's always been nations all around the world where a gospel revival had taken place and by the way the United States was one of them it's vastly becoming one that is there's becoming anti-god though okay what's happening to the United States it's being taken from the United States okay now you know had God cast away all Americans God forbid for I am also an American right why because I'm saved that makes sense I think that's a way to put it right so he's not gonna spare America you know America with all its wickedness and abortions and all the sin and the smut that takes place all over the world that we promote and propagate throughout the world that's not gonna spare America okay verse number 22 says behold therefore the goodness and severity of God on them which fell severity but toward thee goodness thou continue in his goodness otherwise thou also shall be cut off and by the way that's not referring to salvation okay we understand that we can't God will never cast us off we're children of God forever this is referring to the nation's verse 23 and they also if they abide not still and if they abide not still and unbelief shall be grafted in for God is able to graft them in again so it's even leaving a door open to say if they choose to believe yeah they'll be grafted in they can be saved but you know what in my experience it's hard to get a Jew saved okay it's very hard okay but I mean he still he still leaves the door open that it's possibility they can't if they choose to believe they can come but they're not gonna believe okay by and large verse 24 let's see where did I leave off verse 24 for if thou were cut off of the olive tree which is wild by nature and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree how much more shall these which be the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree for I would not brethren that ye should be ignorant okay now verse 25 and 26 let me spend some time on this I know I'm going a little over time but this is very important these verse 25 and 26 are the verses that people use to prove that the Jews are God's chosen people and even when you show them all the other scriptures in the Bible the same that it's not you can even get someone to say okay maybe they're not God's chosen people however God still has a plan for Israel brother God's still gonna use them one day brother I believe that God's gonna use God's gonna save Israel Elijah cuz Romans chapter 11 and verse number 26 says all Israel shall be saved look at verse 25 for I would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this mystery so he's telling you if you believe that don't be ignorant ignorant means don't lack knowledge lest ye should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in now this is very interesting because earlier in Romans chapter number 11 he says Israel have not obtained that which is secret for but the elect hath obtained it and the rest were what blinded and it says in verse 25 let's say should be wise in your conceit that blindness in part it's happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in now there's a false doctrine out there called dispensationalism that teaches that we are in different dispensations and God has different salvations for different dispensations I'm not trying to make that rhyme that's just what they believe okay and they'll say this right now we're in what's called the fullness or excuse me the times of the Gentiles all right where the gospel is going to the Gentiles and as soon as the last Gentile believes you know it's just like the last person you give the gospel to that's the fullness of the times of the Gentiles then the rapture takes place okay and then we're gonna get into another false doctrine which is the pre-tribulation rapture but they believe this that once that happens then all Israel shall be saved so they say that in Revelation chapter 19 that all Israel shall be saved so in other words there'll be a rapture when the fullness of the Gentiles become in and then it's the time of Jacob's trouble okay the seven-year tribulation the time of Jacob's trouble where Israel recognizes their need for a Savior the 144,000 you know they're getting saved and then you have the two witnesses and all these things and then what happens then they see Christ coming in the clouds and they look upon him and they said where have you been all our lives it was him because they're gonna look on him in whom they have Pierce and they'll say that's him right there and then they'll get saved by looking upon him right well that's false okay sorry for that big ol show but that's what they believe so we got to understand what is the fullness of the Gentiles now let's see here let me I'm gonna need to skip some verses verse 26 says and so all Israel shall be saved as it is written there shall come out of Zion and deliver and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob for this is my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins now if you look back in Isaiah and you look back in Jeremiah it talks about all Israel being safe talks about Judah Judah being saved and it says because there shall come forth a deliverer out of Zion okay that delivers referring to Jesus Christ now why is it that it says until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in boy if you look in Luke chapter 21 the Gentiles tra Jerusalem right during that time in Luke chapter 21 which in in in Revelation chapter 11 it takes place for 40 and two months okay now 40 in two months is what three and a half years so if you compare Luke 21 with Revelation chapter 10 which is talking about the last the last trumpet and that goes perfectly with Revelation chapter 11 where it talks about the Gentiles were trod Jerusalem underfoot for 40 and two months we're not in the times of the Gentiles right now I mean three and a half years is not very long okay three and a half years is not very long 40 in two months is not very long so it says that the times of the Gentiles is for 40 in two months which is three and a half years and what happens when the fullness of the Gentiles we come in all Israel shall be saved well between revelations chapter 11 and revelations chapter 19 gets how much time passes three and a half years 40 in two months after the Rapture okay and if you compare Revelation chapter 10 where it talks about the time shall be no more after the last trumpet well you got a problem there with the timing because obviously they believe that it's found in Revelation chapter 4 the rapture right so then now you got a whole bunch a slew of problems with this doctrine that Israel shall be saved in the last days in Revelation chapter 19 now we don't have time to look into it but Revelation chapter 19 is when Christ comes back he destroys the enemies of God and he sets up his millennial reign okay now you say well why is it say then that all Israel shall be saved well because it says the ungodliness will be taken out of Israel well how does that take place when Luke chapter 21 go to Luke 21 I know this is a lot that we're going through here but this is very important that we understand this Luke chapter 21 in verse number 24 excuse me let's start in verse number 20 and we shall see Jerusalem compass with armies then know that the desolation thereof is nigh then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains and let them which are in the midst of it depart out and let not them that are in the countries enter there into for these be the days of vengeance that all things which are written may be fulfilled so he's saying that these are the days when God will execute vengeance upon who verse 23 but one to them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days for there shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people so the vengeance is upon this people well who's this people verse 24 and they shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led away captive into all nations and Jerusalem shall be trodden down to the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled and there shall be signs in the Sun and the moon and then stars and upon the earth distress with of nations with perplexity the seas and the waves roaring men's hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth for the powers of heaven shall be shaken and then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory and when these things begin to come to pass then look up and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh so according to the Word of God the days of vengeance are upon those who are in Jerusalem then when we see those things come to pass by the way they're gonna look on them whom they have pierced because remember what they said his blood be on us and on our children right but then the Bible says when ye see these things come to pass lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh that's when we that's obviously when we get raptured so the Jews get destroyed obviously in Luke 21 specifically they also get destroyed obviously in revel in revelations chapter 19 okay so what happens when Jerusalem gets destroyed excuse me when the Jews get destroyed unbelieving Israel is taking out of believing Israel so all Israel shall be saved now when the Bible uses the word saved it doesn't always mean as being justified it means what reserved okay because remember he said earlier in the chapter I have reserved them to myself seven thousand prophets who have not bowed the need to bail well in Revelation chapter 19 he's gonna reserve all of Israel why because unbelieving Israel will be removed and if you remember in Jeremiah chapter 6 what does he say of the nation of Israel he says reprobate silver shall men call them for the Lord hath rejected them right so he compares them to dross that's what it calls when he says reprobate silver shall men call them for the Lord had rejected why because ungodliness was not taken out of Israel according to the prior verse when Proverbs it says this take away the dross from the silver and thou shalt come forth a vessel for the finer take away the wicked from before the king and his throne shall be established in righteousness so in order for Jesus Christ Kingdom millennial reign to be established in righteousness ungodliness needs to be removed from Israel unbelieving Israel needs to be removed so all Israel shall be reserved so won't just be seven thousand prophets who have not bowed the need to bail everyone's gonna be there every believer from the beginning of time up until now I know that was deep but you know we got to go over because it's in Romans chapter number 11 let's let's let's finish up the verses here let's see here where we at Romans 11 verse number 28 as concerned in the gospel they are enemies for your sakes but as you you you you you
