Alright we are in 2 Corinthians chapter number 7 we will begin reading in verse number 1 It says here, having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Now what is he making reference to there? Well if you look in 2 Corinthians chapter number 6, I'm sorry I forgot to make one more announcement I just remembered right now. We're just going to segue into the announcement real quick. That wall's coming down next week, amen? Monday so they're going to work on it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and they say they'll have it done by Thursday. So it's not for sure by the next weekend but it's coming down because this Sunday was crazy. There was 96 people in here. Now that's with people missing like the Perry's weren't here, there's a couple people that weren't here, we had visitors so we had 96. So for sure within the next couple weeks, I might be wrong, we're going to be running over 100 within the next couple weeks. Now this Sunday, the wall's not going to come down this Sunday. So Jericho, the wall of Jericho is not coming down this Sunday yet. So this is what we need. So on Sunday if it starts getting really packed in here, all the single men need to give up your seat for a family, for a mother, for visitors, whoever it may be. So if you're single and you're a guy, why do you got to put me on the spot like that? I'm talking about single means like obviously you're single but you're going to get married too. I'm talking about guys who are single. I don't want to call out the guys because now you're making me compare who's a single and who's not. If you're single, you know who I'm talking about. Let's not make this uncomfortable. So you say are you being a respecter of people? Well you know what, just for this Sunday, yes I am. For the sake of our visitors and for people who are coming, if there's a mother who's carrying a baby, obviously you want to give up your seat for them. But this is just something we have to do until, and by the way we got more chairs. So we got about 10 more chairs that we can put. We can use those but to be quite honest with you, we have nowhere to put them. So maybe by the bookshelf or something like that. But we need to prepare. So don't have a bad attitude because you got to get up your seat. Just grow up. If you're like no, I don't want to give up, I already have my seat, then you know what, then go sit in the PA booth or go lay down and go take a nap or something. But obviously we want to be courteous to our visitors and those who are coming. And so make sure, and look, be aware on Sunday. If you're sitting there and I'm just like fact, fact, fact, and you're just like, make sure you're paying attention and you're looking around to make sure, and look, the thing about our church is that that door once it opens it makes a beeping sound. You guys notice that? Don't let it be white noise. It will make a beeping sound so make sure, guys, you're paying attention who's coming in because if it's like a family, that's kind of your cue to kind of help out with the seating, so on and so forth. And so we might be a little crammed this Sunday. And who knows, we might have like 20 on Sunday or something like that. But I don't think so. I think we're going to continue to grow. And thank God for the growth, amen. That's a blessing. It's good that the church is growing. But the wall is coming down so they're going to be tearing that down. The owner finally said, go for it, just do it. And so thank God for that. And look, that thing's not even supposed to be there, to be honest with you. It doesn't belong, okay? So we need to cast it out and we'll have a little bit of growth. Hopefully that'll suffice for the next couple of months. And I think even within the next couple months it's still going to get a little full in here even with that wall down and chairs somewhat in the hallway. But until then, until our next year anniversary, we're going to have to look for a new building and we're going to have to just get something bigger. And that's a good problem to have, amen. We're not looking to buy a building or anything like that, but we're looking to have something that'll facilitate the growth. So it's okay if when we tear that down it looks a little empty when everyone's in here. That's okay. Because here's the thing, right now everyone's side by side on Sunday morning. And we've got to be good Christians and just, hey, we're in church, we're here to hear the Word of God. And people like to have like a seat in between them and the stranger whom they don't know, you know what I mean? The brand new person. So we're trying to accommodate that. So thank you for your patience and continue to pray for more growth, amen. It's going to be good. All right, back to our regular schedule program, all right. Read in verse number one, it says, having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness and the fear of God. In Corinthians chapter six, the chapter prior, in verse number 17, what's the promise he's giving? Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you, and I will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. So in verse number one of chapter seven, you know, it's telling us, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit. It's talking about being separate, okay? So we've got to make sure that, yes, we're saved and we know we're going to heaven, but we've got to make sure that we try to perfect holiness while we're here on this earth. What does that mean? Be separate from the world. Be separated from bad habits and sinful things that would destroy our lives and be a bad testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ. You know, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein? You know, knowing that so many of us were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into his death, therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that like as Christ was raised up from the dead, even so we also should walk in what? Newness of life. So even though, yes, we can sin, and I just had this conversation with this Pentecostal person during the soul-winning, even though we can continue in sin after salvation, we won't suffer the consequences of hell, we still are going to suffer consequences on this earth. It's not like God's going to be like, all right, yeah, you're good to go, you know. Nothing's ever bad that's going to ever happen to you in this, no. You know what? God will judge you, and we'll get into that in just a little bit. So we need to make sure that we're perfecting holiness in the fear of God. And it says, having therefore these promises, and the promise is the one we see in verse 18, where it says, I will be a father unto you, ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Now, according to John 1-12, the Bible says, but as many as received him, to them gave you power to become the sons of God, even unto them that believe on his name. So the promise there is that when we believe on Christ, we become the children of God. In fact, the Bible says that we are adopted whereby we cry, Abba, Father. God is our Heavenly Father. We are his children, but in order to establish that relationship where we can be blessed of God, we need to make sure that we live separated lives. Because someone who is saved, the person who's saved, but they're staying home, they're not going to church, they're not reading their Bibles, they're not soul winning, they're not perfecting holiness in the fear of God, guess what, they don't have God's blessing on their life. Especially if they're involved in fornication, and they're in drunkenness, and they're smoking pot and doing things that are not pleasing unto the Lord, they don't have God's blessing. Now look, they're breathing, and he blesses the just as well as the unjust, but they're specific blessings that we get when we're obedient to God. So we need to make sure that as we have these promises, to be reminded that we need to perfect holiness in the fear of God. Look at verse number two. He's talking to the Corinthian church and he says, receive us. We have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. But if you remember in the book of 1 Corinthians, the first letter that he wrote unto them, he had a lot of bad stuff to say about it. He was rebuking them quite a bit in 1 Corinthians, specifically the most famous thing that he was rebuking them for was the fornication that was being allowed in the church, and the fact that they were not exercising church discipline, they weren't casting out the fornicator. And throughout the book of 1 Corinthians, you kind of get the feeling that basically the Corinthian church were not receiving Paul. He's like, should I come to you with a rod? He's like basically like threatening them. And here we see that he's saying, receive us, we've wronged no man, we've corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man, and he's saying, look, you should receive us because we haven't done anything wrong. We haven't corrupted anybody, we haven't wronged anyone, we haven't defrauded anyone, there should be no reason why you're separating from us, in other words, is what he's saying. And so he's telling them, look, if there's something that we've done, obviously that's a cause for separation, but because we've wronged no man, we've corrupted no man, we've defrauded no man, you should receive us. Now, it's interesting that he says this because the same is still true today. You'll have Christians who are saved, and what happens? They separate from us, why? Because of the pre-tribulation rapture, you know, because we don't believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, because of the Jews, because of the fags, and all these other subjects that they hold dear, but you know what we say to that, we say, hey, we've wronged no man, we've defrauded no man, we've corrupted no man. And they accuse us of corrupting the people in their church, oh, you're going around, you know, Pastor Anderson, that's not corrupting anybody. You know, in fact, the people who I've introduced Steven Anderson to got sin out of their lives, okay? They got out of adulterous relationships, or they got right with God, it benefited them is what it did, but in their minds, what are they saying, well, you know, you've corrupted them, we haven't corrupted them, we're trying to help them perfect holiness and the fear of God. So they ought to be received. Now, you know, today, we have that somewhat of an issue, that problem within churches. You know, you got the new IFP, and you got the old IFP, and the old IFP is not receiving us because of like, for instance, Paul, the reason they were receiving Paul is because of the doctrine of casting people out of the church. You know, the old IFP will look at us and say, I mean, you guys are like a cult, you guys are just throwing people out of your church. You know what, if you're saying that the Bible's cultish, then yeah, I adhere to what the Bible says. Okay? Because that's what God says we should do. And they would not receive us because of those things. Now, but there will come a day, and it's happening, and it's coming more rapidly, where it doesn't matter. That's right, someone fainted right there in the back, I'm just kidding. It's not going to matter whether people receive us or not. You know why? Because our churches are multiplying. That's why. You know, there's going to come a day when people are going to look back at these days and be like, remember when they would even like accept us in the churches? When they would kick us out? You know, we're going to tell the second generation, I'm going to tell my grandkids, yeah, grandpa was kicked out of his church for believing these doctrines. They're going to be like, what in the world? Are you serious, grandpa? Like, yeah, they threw me out. And it's going to be like crazy to them. You say, why is it? Because after a while, you know, our churches are catching momentum. And it's going to come a point where there's going to be churches in every state, and many churches within those states. And people are just going to, they're just going to have the opportunity to just choose which church they want to be a part of. Now, let's read on here. Tell them I'm busy. Let me read to you from 1 Peter chapter 3 verse 16 says, having a good conscience that whereas they speak evil of you as evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. So you know, a lot of the people do today is they cast out our name as being evil, you know, because we hate people or whatever. And they're like, you know, you just don't believe that God loves everyone. Well, you know, I believe that God loves people. I do believe that. But there is a specific portion of the population that he hates. So I'm not saying he hates everyone. You know, I don't believe he hates people who are even backslidden. He hates the workers of iniquity. Okay. But these are the kind of evil things that they'll say of us. This is the kind of evil things that they'll cast our name out as, because simply for the fact that they don't understand what the Word of God says. Look at verse number three says, I speak not this to condemn you, for I have said before that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. So he's saying, look, the first letter that I wrote unto you, I didn't just do it to condemn you. You know, he wasn't just trying to rip face. There was a purpose behind what he was doing, what he was saying. He wanted them to repent is what he wanted them to do. And look, it's interesting, I was telling my wife this. You know, a lot of churches, we'll say like in the old IFB, they'll criticize us for posting our sermons on YouTube and for calling out the names, right? And they're like, you know, you shouldn't do that, you shouldn't call out the names. But I remember, okay, when I first got saved, there's pastors who would call out the names like we're doing, not just in church, but for everyone to hear. But they wouldn't do it through YouTube because YouTube wasn't really that popular. They would often call out names of other pastors through something called an open letter. How many of you have ever heard that before? You guys know what a letter is? You put it in an envelope, you guys know what a stamp is? There's these boxes outside on corners, they're called mailboxes, okay? I don't know if you know what those are, but people used to use them back in the day. And these pastors, what they would do is they would do an open letter, basically it was a letter that they would write rebuking another pastor. This is what we learned it from. The only difference is, we're not writing the letters, we're just speaking it, recording it and putting it on YouTube. So it's nothing different from what they used to do. I remember open letters towards Jack Scott, open letters towards other false prophets and teachers of pastors who were being rebuked. So we're not doing anything different, our technology is just more advanced. You know, who knows, maybe before it was like pigeons, pigeon, mailer pigeons or something they would do. But the concept was still the same. In fact, they were doing what Paul was doing. Paul was doing an open letter to the church at Corinth is what he was doing. Rebuking them for their sin, rebuking them for their rebelliousness, and that's basically what we're doing. But he did it with the intent of them repenting and getting it right, casting out the fornicator. Second verse number four, great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you. I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. For when we were coming to Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Without were fighting, within were fears. Now what does he mean by that? You know, as he's doing ministry, as he's traveling around, his flesh had no rest. What does that mean? You know, you ever just have like this problem, but maybe no one even knows about, but you got to go about your day. And it's just like that problem kind of looms over you throughout the day. And though you're taking care of your responsibilities, you have that specific problem that you're just constantly thinking about. Your flesh is troubled. And you put on that smile, you go to work, you know, you play with the kids, or you do whatever you got to do. But there's just that issue that you're dealing with that's kind of looming over you. That's basically what he's saying here, but the issue that he was fighting was this, that the church at Corinth was not repenting. That makes sense? So he's saying there, without were fighting, what are the fighting he's referring to? The persecutions that he's receiving? You know, he's preaching the gospel, the Jews are trying to kill him, they're persecuting him in every way, but within were fears. What was the fear? That the church at Corinth, the church that he helped establish, the people he went to the Lord, were not getting right with God. Now that shows us the kind of heart that we as Christians need to have over someone who sins and is cast out, or someone who's just involved in sin who's saved. You know, we all don't have to hate them, we all don't have to look down on them, it ought to break our hearts when people get involved in sin. I'm talking about saved people when they get involved in sin. Why? Because we know the destructive capacity that sin can have on a human being. And because of that, that should rend our hearts, and that should cause us the fear to say, man, I hope that person gets right, I hope that person repents, I hope that person gets right with God, so that God doesn't have to destroy that person's life. Look at verse number six, it says, nevertheless God, that comforted those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me, so that I rejoice the more. Now hold your place there, go to First Corinthians, chapter number five. So he's kind of revealing his heart here, he's saying, you know, my flesh was troubled, without were fighting, within were fears, and he's just kind of expressing how he felt because of the Church of Corinth, but then he says, nevertheless, God, who comforted us, comforted us by the coming of Titus, now what is he referring to? Well, he's referring to the fact that Titus went to the Church of Corinth to go receive the report of what they were doing at that moment. He came back and said, hey, they got it right. So that was pretty comforting to the Apostle Paul, because remember, his flesh was troubled. Well, when Titus came, I don't know how exactly how he told him, he's like, hey, remember the whole problem with the Corinth, with the fornicator, where they cast that guy out? You know, their church services are not disorderly, there's not a hymn here and a tongue here and a prophecy here, everything's being done decently and in order. They're taking heed to what you're saying. And it says there, you don't have to turn there, back in chapter 7, it says, not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me so that I rejoice the more. So look at 1 Corinthians chapter 5, why does it say your mourning? Mourning means sadness, right? Look at verse number 1, it says, it is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much his name among the Gentiles that one should have his father's wife. So let that sink in for a little bit. There's a guy in the church who's having sexual relations with his father's wife. And the Bible says there that it's not even named among the Gentiles, unsaved people don't even do this garbage. And this saved guy is in church fornicating with his father's wife. Verse 2, and ye are puffed up, and look what it says, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. So it's saying you guys are being proud, okay? Your glory means you're proud. You know, we would relate it to today where churches don't cast people out, they say, well, it's because we love people, that's why. We're not like those new IFB churches that just kick people out. You know, we need to give people time to grow, you know, let them fornicate for like three years before we actually confront them and let them know that they're in sin. No, your glory is not good. You've not rather mourn. You see, fornication, if you study fornication in the Bible, it cures the wrath of God upon a people. You look at 1 Corinthians chapter 10, where God slew thousands of people because of fornication. Now fornication in the Levitical law was not punishable by death, but guess what? Most of the time, sometimes God just struck people dead because of it, at his discretion. And you're like, yeah, but it's not punishable by death, but do you want to play with that? You want to take your chances? Do you want to gamble on that? I don't. You know, we ought not to desire to see how far, how close we can get to sin and just bank on the fact that God is merciful. You know, God can just strike you dead right then and there. So he's saying that you're puffed up and you have not rather mourned. Skip down to verse six. Your glorying is not good, knowing not that a little leavened it, the whole lump. And what he's referring to there is saying this, don't you know that if you just allow a fornicator into your church, you're basically going to destroy your church. It's going to, the fornicator, your church is going to become a cesspool of sin. And let me just remind everyone here tonight that if you're involved in fornication, you have a few choices, okay? Number one, you can separate. Number two, you can get married, which is the best choice, okay? And that's pretty much it, right? Not too many choices, but they're the best choices. But the best one on the law is for them to get married. I mean, isn't marriage great? Right, Nick? Isn't it great? Yeah, amen. So, you know, people think, oh, no, fornication is great. You know, we get to have all kinds of fun. Yeah, you want an STD? You ever heard of gonorrhea, chlamydia, you know, herpes? How about AIDS? You know that one disease that fags carry? You know, heterosexuals can get that too sometimes through fornication. You know, I don't want to mess with that. And we ought to have this mentality, hey, I got to perfect holiness and the fear of the Lord because the fact of the matter is sin can just destroy my life if I allow it to. And specifically in the church, so you say, well, what if I don't want to do either of those? Then you got to get out. You can't be here. You know, we love you and everything, but you're not welcome here if you want to continue in fornication. And that's the same for drunkenness. That's the same for extortion. That's the same for railing. By the way, let me just park it here on this matter of railing for a little bit in regards to Samuel, the guy we threw out of our church. You know, Samuel text me, you know, brother Bruce, what gives you the right to do this? Matthew 18, you should have come talk to me. I don't need to come talk to you. It's reported commonly that you're railing, calling brother Perry a reprobate. Okay. And then by the way, he's going to people in our church via text messaging. He's text messaging, Chris Camacho. He's like, brother Bruce is lying. We need to stand together on the truth, brother Chris. And he's thinking like, Chris is going to be like, all right, you know, Chris did, hey brother Bruce, let me show you something. I'm like, that guy's an idiot. I mean, you really think this fool, this, this guy really thinks like no one's going to tell me about this. You know, what kind of people does he think are here? Idiot. And so look, if you're railing on someone in our church, you're out of here. We cast people out because they fornicated. We've cast the people out because they're drunkards, but we will cast people out after railers as well. You know, if you're constantly talking trash on someone in our church, trying to defame their character and get people to come to your side and try to cause this little militia against people in the church, we're throwing you out. We're throwing your hiner parts out. You're not welcome here. Well, I have, you know, I, you know, I just think that, you know, I don't agree with it. You know what? If you don't agree with me, then keep your mouth shut. You know? Now, if you don't agree with me on specific doctrine, that's fine. But you know what? Do you have to try to get people to come to your side? See, that's sneaky right there. Why don't you just come tell me, hey, I saw this in the Bible. I heard you preach this. I don't agree with you on this. That's fine. When you start trying to recruit people to disagree and try to usurp the authority, you ain't usurping this authority. I don't care if you get half of the church to agree with you. I'll throw all of you out. We'll start all over again. This is not about numbers. It's about integrity. It's about what the Bible says. So go ahead, Samuel. Text. Do a mass text message. Why don't you go ahead and do MailChimp? Contact everyone on your list. Try to recruit everyone to your stupid doctrine. Try to get people to defend you. It's not going to happen. And if it did happen, it still wouldn't matter. I still stand on what I said. You're thrown out. You're never welcomed back to Faithful Word Baptist Church. And when the church changes names, you're not welcomed to that one either. Why? Because the Bible tells us to do that. But that guy was like, he was probably like a good tither. Let his money perish with him. So here we see that they were mourning. Now they're mourning whereas in 1 Corinthians chapter 5, they were not mourning. And that goes to show us the principle that we sin ought to cause us to mourn. And look, I'm not mourning over the fact that Samuel left. That isn't mourning because I think he's an infiltrator. And I don't mourn for infiltrators. I don't sympathize with them. I don't feel bad for them. If they have little infants and children, I'll feel bad for them, but I will not feel bad for the infiltrator. I can care less about them. You know who I care about is saved people. That's who I care about. So the letter that Paul had written unto them caused him to have sorrow of heart. And that goes to show us that look, open rebuke is better than secret love. And some people are like, oh, you're going to scare people. How are you going to be preaching? I put a clip on my YouTube about Stephen Hawking, the one I preached on Sunday. People are ticked. I have more thumbs down than I have thumbs up on that video. And people are like, they're commenting, this is the most sick, disgusting human being on the face of the planet. You know, they're saying all these things. But you know what? Open rebuke towards Stephen Hawking is better than secret love. Okay. And I don't care. You know, someone even made a meme and it was like Stephen Hawking in a wheelchair, like kneeling down before Jesus Christ, it was great. So look, that's why, you know, when I get up here and preach and I rip face, you know, it's because I love you is what it is. I'm not trying to be cliche or anything. It's fact, you know, because I want to tell you the truth. And if I didn't love you, then I tell you, Hey, everything's going to be okay. Go ahead and be involved in fornication. God's not mad at you. Joyce Meyer's style kind of thing. And it just lets you go about your jolly way. But you know what? Is that real love? You know, real love is telling you, Hey, this is right. This is wrong. Don't do it. Or you're going to destroy your life. You know, look at verse number nine, go, go to second Corinthians chapter seven and verse number nine. Look, and Sammy tried to go to, uh, Santa Ana Baptist church. They cast them out of that church, too. He threw them out. Soon as he finally got thrown out here, threw them out over there. And guess what? We put it on YouTube. So all our pastor friends know who Samuel is. You know, verse number nine says, now I rejoice. Not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance for you were made sorry after a godly manner that you might receive damage by us or nothing for godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation, not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh death. Now we're going to spend most of the sermon on these two verses right here. Why is that? Because these two verses are often the verse that are taking the most out of context, right? And these are the ones that they'll tell you, you got to repent of your sin in order to be saved. And they'll use verse number 10, where it says, for godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation, not to be repented of. But not only that, they'll also teach that if you truly repent, if these people truly repent, they have to feel sorry. You know, a person's not really saved. If they confess Christ with their mouth, but they're not crying or something, if they're not like heartbroken over their sin, if they're not just falling all over you, that person really didn't get saved. Okay? Well, you're filled with junk. I've met, look, I've known people in my life that are very monotone in their personality. You know what I mean by monotone? It's like a dial tone. It's just like, doo. And I gave them the gospel, and they're just like, yes, no, yes. And then like, when I present the entire gospel to them, they understand everything. I said, would you like to get saved? Yes. And then they pray, and afterwards they say, thank you so much for coming to talk to me. I really needed this. I'm so thankful you came by. Everything is just like, it's typically those who are overly emotional. It's kind of annoys me, actually, when they're just like, I'll be in church on Sunday. You'll never see that person ever again. Let me just mark it down. That's what my old pastor used to say. You'll never see that person ever again if they're saying all that. But they'll use this verse to prove that that's what you've got to have. There's got to be sorrow in their heart. You've got to make them cry or something, you know? And look, I'm not saying that people who cry and actually get saved are not getting saved, but there's people with different personalities and different emotions, you know, and sometimes you just catch people on the right time of day of the year of something they're going through. They get saved, and they recognize that, and it brings them to tears, okay? But other people, you give them the truth, they just go on about their merry way. They don't cry, they don't do anything, but they're thankful, but they just go on about their merry way. So now, people will use this verse to say that you need to repent of your sins in order to be saved, and that repentance will be coupled with sorrow. Now these can easily be debunked. Go to Mark chapter, excuse me, go to Matthew chapter 27. I'm going to read to you from Mark chapter 14. First and foremost, we obviously understand this, but in case you don't, you don't repent of your sins to be saved. That is the most damnable heresy that has ever been created by Satan, okay? But let me just give you an example of someone who repented and did not get saved. Mark 14, 21 says, the son of man indeed goeth as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the son of man is betrayed, good were it for that man if he had never been born. Now who's that talking about? It's talking about Judas. Judas, God, Jesus Christ was saying to Judas, it's better that that guy didn't even like live, that he was never even born, that he never even had life. Why? Because what awaits him is hell, because being betrayed into the, he's betrayed the son of man. Now, look at Matthew chapter 27 verse number one, it says, when the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death. When they had bound him, they led him away and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. And Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself and brought again the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders saying, I have sinned. I mean, this guy is in tears, I've sinned, that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, what is that to us? See thou to that. Now let me ask you something, was Judas saved? Did he get saved? No. In fact, he's called the son of perdition. He's in hell. In fact, I will not doubt it if he's in the lowest hell today. He's got the lowest of the hell today, in my opinion. But here we see that he repented. He repented himself. He was sorry for betraying an innocent man. He even changed his actions. Because they'll say, you know, if you change, repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change of action. That's what they'll say. But he changed his actions. What did he do? He changed the hand of silver. The guy still wasn't saved. You know why? Because you don't repent of your sins in order to be saved. Now, in, go back to 2 Corinthians chapter 7. So what is this talking about then? And here's the thing is these guys who preach a repent of your sins false gospel, they never read the context of anything. Never. Specifically this one right here. Because he's not talking to just any regular Joe Shmo. He's talking to the church at Corinth. So according to their mixed up theology, that would mean that the entire church was not saved. Right? Because he's saying, they sorrowed, they repented, which led to salvation. Well, he's talking to the entire church. That means that in order for that church and every individual within that church to get saved, they needed to cast that guy out. They felt sorry about it, they repented, and the entire church got saved. That's not, that's false. You know, that would mean that the entire church was not saved, and that's false, okay? But number two, repentance is necessary for salvation. But not repentance of sin. You see, repentance is a biblical word, and we all need to understand what it means. And look, when I'm preaching the gospel, I never use the word repent or repentance, okay? Simply for the fact that if you read the book of John, the word that's commonly emphasized in the book of John is just belief. But not only that, our world has so misconstrued the word repentance, even the person who has the most shallow understanding of the Bible will confuse that with repenting of your sin. And I'm trying to make the gospel as simple as possible for someone to understand. I don't want to confuse anybody and remove them from the simplicity which is in Christ. Now, if you use the word repentance, I'm not against you, but you need to be very clear what you're talking about. And clarify in great detail if you're gonna use that word. But I would just say don't use it. I would say believe is a good word to use. So what does repentance mean? It means to turn from something. Okay, that's what it means. Now, throughout the Bible, we see the action of repentance, but in various contexts, all right? Now, go with me if you went to Exodus 32. I'm gonna read to you from Matthew 21, verse 28. It says, but what think ye, a certain man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not, but afterward he repented and went. So we see there that he changed a course of action. Now, the problem with the repenting your sins crowd is they put repenting your sins, anytime the word repent is mentioned in the Bible, they put their definition of repent of your sins within that passage. So every single mention of repenting in the Bible to them has to do with repenting of your sins. But Exodus 32, verse 14, look what it says. And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. So obviously we can't use that to say that means repenting your sins because God has no sin. What it means there is that he just changed his course of action is what he did, because that's what that means. It means to change, it means to turn completely from something unto something else. So the times that people do repent in the Bible, you'll never see it in regards to actual salvation. When they repent of their sins, because there are people who repent of their sins, it's never in regards to salvation. The condition is never placed that when they repent of their sin, that they'll be saved, okay? Just like you'll never see in the Bible all kinds of commands given, like for example, the 10 Commandments, because people will bring this up, Pentecostals will bring this up all the time. They'll say, you know, you gotta keep God's commandments in order to be saved. Because the Bible says, the Bible says, thou shalt not kill. See, there you go, there's a command. But the condition is not, and thou shalt be saved. So we need to look at context, we need to look at the condition that's placed upon the commandment given, all right? Go to Mark chapter one. Mark chapter one, I'm gonna read to you from Romans chapter 10, verse 16, says, but they have not all obeyed the gospel, for as I say it, Lord, who hath believed our report? So the only command that we have to obey in regards to salvation is to believe the gospel. That is the only command we have to believe. Now, it's funny that I'm preaching this, and today we went soul-winning, and I just so happened to run into this hardcore repenting your sins lady, who, surprise, surprise, was a Pentecostal. Now, to me, Pentecostals are harder to win than any other group, other than Mormons, okay? Which, basically, they believe the same thing, because they think you have to repent of your sins as well. But there's far more Pentecostals here in the city of Omani than I've ever really run into. In fact, it's easier for me to win Catholics to the Lord than Pentecostals. At least they got a fairly decent foundation as far as the Trinity's concerned. They believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. You run into your Catholics who are like 140 years old or whatever, they've been Catholics all their life, and they're not gonna change. But for the most part, most Catholics, they believe that the Bible's the word of God. They have a very shallow understanding of doctrine, which is good, because they're not infested with all that false doctrine, and you can basically persuade them to believe what the Bible says, all right? But I ran into this lady, and she's like hardcore repent of your sins. And one question that I posed to her, I said, okay, and she goes, I did believe, I already believed. You know, I believed a long time ago. And I said, okay, let me ask you a question. What if I tell you that I believed, and then 10 years from now, I'm a drunk, I'm a fornicator, I don't go to church. I just named, I just went down the list of the worst things you can do. And then I said, what then? And she said this, well, I don't know, God knows. But as for me, she said, you know, I think all you have to do is believe. And I asked her, I said, so is salvation different for everyone then, or what? I thought it was the same for everyone. Is salvation different for you than it is for me? And at that point, the light bulb kind of went on, and I started giving more, I gave her Romans 3.28, where it says, therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. And she didn't get saved, which it doesn't surprise me, but the fact of the matter is, is that a lot of people are ingrained with this thought. And really, the repenting your sins doctrine is propelled by the sin of pride, where they're just not willing to admit that they can't repent of all their sins. They literally believe, like, oh, I'm down, you know, I'm not drinking anymore. You know, I'm not salsa dancing anymore in the clubs. You know, I'm not listening to the banda music and all this stuff, and I'm not doing those things. By the way, banda music, just get used to it, Jordan, okay? You know what banda music is? All right, you'll hear it. By the end of this month, you'll know. Just kidding. So, you know, they consider it as like, I don't do those things anymore, I repented of my sins. But it's like, do you understand that the Bible is filled with commandments? And if someone doesn't know the word of God perfectly, which no person knows the word of God perfectly, breaking a commandment is sin. So just because you don't drink, you don't fornicate, you don't go salsa dancing, or whatever, there's tons of other commandments in the Bible. And by the way, I'm not saying dancing is a sin, but salsa dancing is a sin. Okay, just let you know that. I should preach on dancing this week. But, you know, and I was explaining this to her, and it's just like, they weren't willing, she wasn't willing to just understand it, and just get through and understand, hey, I don't have to repent of all my sins. So, look at, where do I have you turn, Mark chapter one. Excuse me, Mark chapter one, verse 15, it says, in saying the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand, repent ye and believe the gospel. There you go! You gotta repent of your sins! I, people always use this. It says repent ye and believe the gospel, but it doesn't say of sin. Why do you keep inserting sin into that phrase? Repent means to change, what? Change what you believe in. Now look, if someone is worshiping Mary, then yes, they need to repent of that in order to be saved. Why, because that's something that they're trusting in in order to be saved, okay? Romans 10, or excuse me, go to Hebrews chapter six. Hebrews chapter six. So, we have to repent of what we're trusting in to trust in the living God, trust in Jesus Christ. And that would include works, right? Look what it says in verse number one in Hebrew six. Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on into perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God. So the Bible says we have to repent of our dead works, because if you're trusting in your works that get you to heaven, you know, you gotta repent of that, to trust in Jesus Christ, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, the Bible says. Go to Acts chapter 13. And look, you say, brother Bruce, I already know all the sermons. I've heard one saint always saved like hundreds of times. But here's the thing, you're gonna keep hearing this for decades to come. So, we gotta make sure we don't have an attitude that we always want something novel to be taught, something that you don't know. You know, I wanna hear like a new doctrine. No, you're gonna hear 66 books throughout your entire life, and it says the same exact thing. Because you know what, people forget, okay? And look, sometimes we just gotta go over the basics. And when you don't go over the basics, when you don't go over foundational doctrines, then you start slipping into heresy. Because you're not strengthening that which remains, okay? Now look at verse 38, it says, be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins, and by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which he could not be justified by the law of Moses. So there you go. When you believe on Christ, you're justified from all things. And the Bible says there that the law of Moses could not do that, all right? Now go to Matthew chapter three. Because Matthew chapter three is the verse that I get pulled out all the time when people try to debate me on this, or they try to bring this up in regards to repenting of your sins. I heard this even at my old Bible college, okay? They'll use John the Baptist as an example. They'll say, you gotta bring fruit, meat for repentance, though. Gotta have fruit. If you're not on fruit, you're not really saved, you know? And by the way, that and repenting of your sins, and all the other ones that are basically similar to this, it's all the same thing. It's all the same exact thing. It's just being wrapped up in a different way. Look at Matthew chapter three, verse number four. How many have heard people say that? Like, you gotta produce fruit. Or you're not saved. This is Calvinistic, John MacArthur crap. Look at verse four, it says, And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and his meat was locust and wild honey. Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judea and all the region round about Jordan, and were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and the Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Verse eight, bring forth therefore fruits, meat for repentance. There you go. You gotta bring forth fruit, meat for repentance. Verse nine, and think not to stay within yourselves. We have Abraham to our father, for I say unto you that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees, therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. I indeed baptize you with water into repentance, but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire, whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor and gather his wheat into the garner, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Now I've heard this many times where it's just like, if you're not producing any kind of fruit, the fruits of the Spirit, which the fruits of the Spirit of what? Or of the Spirit, right? I'm gonna say if you're not going to church, if you're not producing these, if you're not being separated from the world, if you're involved in sin, you're not producing this fruit, you're not really saved. And they'll use this verse right here to basically prove that. But let me ask you this, who is Jesus talking to? Not a trick question. The Sadducees and the what? Who were the Sadducees and the Pharisees? They were the religious leaders. You see, when it comes to leaders, people who claim to be preaching the word of God, people who are behind a pulpit, people who are expounding on God's word, the way you check if they're saved is by the fruits that they produce. Because there's a vast difference between the person who sits in the pew who's learning the word of God, they're not a pastor, they're not an evangelist, they're not any of that, and the person who's actually taking upon himself to teach the word of God. So the way you measure and you determine whether that person is saved or not is based upon the fruits that they produce. Now, go with me, if you would, to Matthew chapter seven. Matthew chapter number seven. And look, you go into any kind of church and just have normal conversations with the people within that church about salvation, and you'll find out if the pastor's saved or not. Bottom line, you know? And look, the only people who might give a wrong answer here are, number one, people who are not saved, who are brand new, who are visitors, or someone who's not really grounded in the faith and they don't necessarily know how to express, you know, other than the fact that I'm saved. They don't know a whole lot of deep doctrine. But for the most part, every single person, 99%, except for the Judas who's in here, 99% of the people in our church are saved. So if you ask them, how'd you get saved, they'll say, well, I believed on Christ. Or I watched a YouTube video and I got saved, or whatever it may be. But most of these churches you go to, these David Cloud-type churches, they're not saved. They have a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. Why, because they wear the suits, they have the shirt and ties, they have the King James Bible. You know, they're saying all the right type of things, but they're not saved. And why is that? Because the pastor is not saved. And any pastor who teaches a repent of your sins, a hardcore repent of your sins, is not saved, and they will never get saved. You see, someone who's in the pews, who's mixed up about repentance, they still can get saved. But the person who's propagating that false doctrine is not saved, and they will never get saved. Why is that? Because they have the agenda to teach false doctrine. So, sidetrack here, that's why it's good for you to understand that you don't have to waste your time with the Jehovah's Witnesses. And the Mormons. You know, when they come to your house, they'll be like, oh yeah, I got some good verses for this prayer, I'm about to stump them right now. No, you're just telling this, get out of here, you cursed of the devil. Excuse me, sir, you heard me, did I stutter? Get the hell out of my apartment complex. I can't believe you would say something like that. These people make it their agenda to damn people to hell. These aren't just regular people who are just mixed up. They work to send people to hell. How wicked do you have to be to get up every single day with the agenda to teach false doctrine and damn people to hell? They're a generation of vipers. You know why Jesus called them a generation of vipers? Because they belong to the seed of Satan. Satan is the serpent in Genesis chapter three, therefore they're the generation of vipers. They're a bunch of reprobates is what they are. So don't try to be all cute, yeah, come on in, come on in, yeah, yeah, and try to act all ignorant. Don't even let them in your house. Because if you do, you're a partaker of his evil deeds. Don't offer them coffee, don't say bye, slam the door on their face. This lady I was talking to today, she was like, her and her self-righteous self, she was like, you know when the Jehovah's Witnesses come, I welcome the men. People are like, no, I don't wanna talk to them, they're Jehovah's. And then I'm like, they're my brothers. Or no, I'm sorry, they're my neighbors. You know, I'm supposed to love my neighbor as myself. That's not my neighbor. I'll curse them in the name of the Lord, rebuke them sharply, and pray to God that they die. So they don't damn anybody else to hell, okay? So there's a vast difference between the person who's confused on repentance, and then the person who knows what they're saying, and they're not taking anything back. Okay, they're preaching this. Look at Matthew 7, verse 15, beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. So a prophet is someone who's proclaiming so-called, or excuse me, a prophet is someone who's proclaiming the word of God. A false prophet is someone who is perverting the word of God. They're not proclaiming it, they're perverting it. So when it says beware of false prophets, Jesus tells them specifically in the instructions of verse 16, you will know who they are by their fruits, because obviously if they're in sheep's clothing, you can't really tell who they are, because they look like sheep. But then Jesus says, but ye shall know them by their fruits. That's how you're gonna know who they are. And look, we won't get too deep into it, but obviously the Bible tells us in 1 John chapter four to try the spirits. What does that mean? You need to test what they're saying out of their mouth, specifically in regards to salvation, okay? Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire, just like we saw with John the Baptist. Cast into the fire, wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. So how do you test it? By what they say in regards to salvation? But not only that, you also test it by the fact of what they're producing, okay? And look, obviously someone can say the right things even when they go out sowing, they can preach the right gospel, but at the end of the day, people think, what about all those souls that Garrett Kirschway supposedly won, he didn't win them. Just get over it. They just didn't win them. Are you trying to tell me that, you don't think, at least one, not one, not one, because an unsaved person cannot see anybody's safe. They don't produce grapes or figs. They produce thorns is what they produce. They make people twofold more a child of hell, that's what they do, okay? Go to Matthew chapter 12. I'm gonna read to you from Luke chapter six verse 43, says for a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit, neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit, for of thorns men do gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of a good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. That's why, for example, Garrett Kirschway is a perfect example of it. You know why people didn't really know he was a false prophet? Because he kept his mouth shut. He didn't talk a lot. You know? And because ultimately a false prophet, they're gonna slip, they're gonna say something very perverted regarding the word of God. They're gonna say something very perverted regarding salvation. I mean, eventually they'll come out is what they'll do. But that's why he kept his mouth shut. And the Bible tells us there that a good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good. Look at Matthew chapter 12 and verse 33. Either make the tree good and his fruit good, or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt. For the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, look what it says, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy works, thou shalt be justified? No, it says by thy words, thou shalt be justified. And by thy words, thou shalt be condemned. So why does it say that? Because that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And if you read it in context, they were saying that Jesus had an unclean spirit. So by their own admission, they were condemning themselves, okay? Now, you don't have to turn there, but in Acts chapter 19, verse four, basically demolishes this whole preconceived idea that people have that John the Baptist preached a different gospel, you know? He preached repentance. You know, one of these fools is Robert Breaker, this dispensational dipstick who says that John the Baptist had a different gospel than Jesus, and Paul had a different gospel than Jesus as well. But it tells us in Acts chapter 19, verse four, then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. So he baptized them, but what did he say? Saying, as what you do with your mouth, you're saying to believe on Jesus Christ. That's what he was saying. So these dipsticks need to read Acts chapter 19 and compare scripture with scripture. Instead of just sticking to the gospels and seeing what it says there about John the Baptist, why don't you go to Acts chapter 19, see what it says, what he was actually saying, which is to believe on Christ. Now go back to 2 Corinthians chapter seven, because the question still remains, what does it mean when it says in verse number 10, for godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of? Because obviously we completely demolished what it doesn't mean. It doesn't mean repent of your sins. So what are they being saved from? Well, it goes without saying, go to Revelation chapter two. It goes without saying that the word salvation is not always in reference to being justified. We see that multiple times in the Bible. Where often the word salvation simply means to be delivered from something. It really means being delivered from your flesh, but it's also used in different contexts and different ways as well. But Revelation two is a perfect example of this. Why is that? Well, the churches in Revelation two and three, they all had something, they all had good attributes, but some of them had bad attributes. Look what it says in verse number two of Revelation two, it says, I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil, and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars, and hast borne, hast patience, and for my name's sake hast labored, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless, I have someone against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore, once there are fallen, and what? Repent, and do the first works, or else. You ever had your parents say that to you? You better do this, or else. What does that mean? I'm gonna punish you, is what I'm gonna do. So, God is telling the churches here, hey, you need to start soul winning, or else. Do the first works, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, except I repent. So, what do we see in churches today? We see that the, or else, has already taken place in those churches. Right, right. Right? Because they're not soul winning. And they can do all their visitation, all they want, and have their superficial attendances of bus ministry all they want, and make it look like they're growing. They could have a name that they are alive, but they're dead. You know why? Because God has removed their candlestick. Right. And churches can get to a point when that happens. So, what is God telling? We say, well, that's soul winning there. I mean, what we're talking about in 2 Corinthians 7 was the sin of fornication. Okay, let's read verse 19 then, of Revelation chapter two. I know that I works in charity and service and faith in thy patience, and thy works in the last to be more than the first. Now withstanding, I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which called herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication. And to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and then thou commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts, and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. There you go. There's your fornication example right there. And he told them he threatened them. That's called a threat. That's saying, look, if you don't stop doing this, I'm gonna do this to you, because God has no respect for people. So in 2 Corinthians chapter seven, what are they being saved from? They're being saved from the wrath of God. I'm talking about his chastisement is what they're being saved from. We're not talking about hell. God can, we can incur the wrath of God upon our lives even here. I'm not talking about hell. I'm talking about just his punishment. The Bible says in Revelation chapter three in verse 19, as many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous, therefore, and repent. You don't have to turn there. Go to Hebrews chapter 10. I'm gonna read to you from 1 Peter chapter four. Hebrews chapter 10. Go to Hebrews chapter 10. I'm gonna read to you from 1 Peter chapter four. In verse 17 where it says, for the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God, and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? So just remember, before you think you could just fornicate, nothing's gonna happen. No, you need to make sure that you live a clean life. Why? Because he says there that he can chastise us. He can punish us, and the Bible says there the judgment will begin at the house of God. So the house of God is referring to the church, our church specifically, right? We would use it in the context of our church. So we need to make sure that we're constantly exercising this matter of church discipline, holy living. Why? So God doesn't punish our church. You say, well, you know, I know an old IFB church, and they love faggots, and they let them in, and I don't see nothing bad happening to them. The fact that there's homos all up in the church, that's judgment enough. You know, you read the Old Testament, the way God would punish Israel is by sending a foreign nation to come and just rape and pillage the land. What do you think homos do? They come and rape and molest and pillage the land. You don't believe that. Just go visit the church at Wildomar, who's suffering the consequences of loving the homos. That's what you get when you love the homos. I think God's blessing is on that church. What? Go ahead and tell that to the victims then. Say, hey little person, little boy, do you feel like God blessed you? When that pedophile molested you, or hey person who got molested, you know, who got raped, you feel blessed? Because according to their theology, they're blessed. No, you know what that's called? That's called evil good and good evil. That's what it is. So we need to make sure that we have the right perception and understand, hey, you know, what are they being saved from in 2 Corinthians chapter seven? From the wrath of God, okay, from his chastisement. Look at Hebrews chapter 10 verse 28. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy. Man, under two or three witnesses. God is so merciful. Yeah, well, he wasn't to them. They died without mercy. Of how much sore punishment suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, now, for most of us, this is like our life verse, you know? Vengeance belongeth unto me. I will recompense, saith the Lord, amen. You know, vengeance is mine, saith the Lord. Okay, let's keep reading. And again, the Lord shall judge his people. You know who he's gonna strike vengeance on? His people, because God doesn't mess around. He's not some old guy in heaven with a white long beard who just doesn't know what's going on. You know, God is a God of justice. He's a God of righteousness, and he's saying, look, I'm gonna execute vengeance on you. Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, and I'm gonna judge my people. So you know what the Corinthian church did? They probably heard about that. They're like, yeah, let's go ahead and mourn. Let's go ahead and repent and get this guy out of the church because we don't want this to happen to us. Verse 31, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. And you know what I say to that? Amen. I'm scared of God. You know, these bunch of pastors who are afraid of homos, you oughta be more afraid of God. I fear God over a homo any day of the week. Homos are not even scary. I live in California. Homos are not scary. Bunch of light on their toes, little sissy faggots, don't scare nobody. What are they gonna do, smack me with their purse? No pastor should ever be afraid of a faggot. What if they say dirty things about you? Who cares? Grow some thick skin. Get some rhino skin is what you need. You know, you need to grow some stones and start bearing God. Because God can kill you. God can destroy your life if he wants to. If you mess up. They died without mercy, okay? You know, I don't care what a faggot can do unto me. You know, even if they kill me, I have salvation. And I'm coming back, okay? You're basically helping me get more rewards if you kill me. You know, when homos threaten me and they say, all manner of evil against me, that's like a drop in the bucket. I've heard worse things growing up in the hood, okay? You know, they wanna say all kind of manner of evil against, no, we need to be the kind of people that says, you know what, no, I wanna fear God because it's fearful to fall into the hands of a living God. It doesn't say it's fearful to fall into the hands of a faggot, right? It's because it's not. It's not. Verse 11, actually, we're gonna finish there because we're out of time. You read the remainder, I spend too much time on that. You read the remainder of the chapter, basically, you see what they do because they repent. There's zeal, there's a clearing of themselves, there's sorrow, there's indignation. And look, people say, you know, you guys are always angry. They had indignation because they repented and they got right. So you know what should be a part of the Christian's character? When they repent, they get right with God? Indignation. Hatred. Okay? Wrath. And I'm talking about towards sin and those who are workers of iniquity. That's what it should incur. What zeal, yet what revenge in all things you have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. Man, revenge. You know, the Bible says to have all readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. So revenge is quite all right. Obviously, we're not supposed to be revengeful towards anybody else, vengeance belongs unto the Lord. But as far as like, hey, because vengeance, all it means is to get back, to pay back, right? So someone does something in our church, how do we pay them back for doing that? We cast them out. They're involved in fornication, they're in drunkenness. We don't just turn a blind eye to it, we do something about it, okay? And yeah, I gotta finish, okay. So what's the message tonight? You know, we need to fear God. And it's good to preach a sermon on just fearing God every once in a while because we forget, okay? And you know, faithful, we're a Baptist church. We need to make sure we stay saved, okay? I'm not talking about being justified, I mean being saved from the wrath of God if we're disobedient. Well, how do you do that? Don't be a drunkard, single guys, single ladies, don't be a fornicator, don't be smoking pot, don't be drinking, don't be a railer, don't be a Samuel, definitely don't be a Samuel. You know, don't be an extortioner. You make sure that you are perfecting holiness in the fear of God, amen? As far as I have a word of prayer. Father, we thank you for your word and there's so much more we could have covered, Lord, and thank you so much for the fear of God that you placed on our hearts through your word. And Lord, I want your mercy. I know everyone else here wants your mercy. I pray that we'd continue to fear you and recognize that your eyes are always upon the righteous. You're always beholding the good and the evil and I pray that you'd help us to perfect holiness in the fear of God. And thank you so much again for all that you do for us. Bless the remainder of our evening. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Amen.
