(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) All right, Psalm chapter number one. So we're gonna start a new series and it's gonna be once a month, either it might be on a Wednesday, it might be on a Sunday night, but we're gonna take one service a month to go over the Psalms. A lot of Psalms, a lot of information to go over and so we're gonna start that tonight. Now, tonight we're gonna kinda quickly go over chapter number one, six verses, and then we're gonna get into chapter number two and then we'll stop it there until the next month. Now, you're in Psalm chapter number one. I'm just gonna give you the title. The title comes from Psalm chapter two, which is all about the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a prophecy. It's about the kings and the rulers of the world and how they fight against God. They rage against God and what's gonna happen to them and as well as an option that God has given them and a call that is out there for every king, every ruler. So I'm gonna title this sermon Agitation Nation. We'll get into that here in a second, but before we get into chapter two, like I said, let's go over chapter number one because chapter number one sets the stage and sets the standard, which basically sets the tone for the rest of the book. It starts off with a blessed person and what you get by being blessed and by following the wisdom in these six verses. So if you would look at verse number one, the Bible says, blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Okay, so obviously, you know, we've probably heard that a lot in your life. Definitely very true. I've seen people take this a little too far. It's not very common, but I have heard it in my life. I've heard people say that if we're gonna not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, you should never read a book by somebody who's not saved. You should, you know, try to find a job at a Christian place. You know, that's just nonsense. That is not what this means. This is obviously talking about people giving counsel contrary to the word of God, okay? I take courses for my job. I read books by all kinds of people every single week that are not saved and they have good things to say and they've taught me a lot, okay? That is different than what this is talking about. It's very straightforward here, okay? Ungodly people, you know, we don't wanna take their advice for marriage. We don't wanna take their advice on how to run a church and so on and so forth, okay? But then it says, nor standeth in the way of sinners. Again, going back to what he just mentioned, the heathen, the people that reject God, they have a certain way that they like to do business. And kinda like we talked about on Sunday morning, it revolves around vanity, okay? And so there's a blessing for those who reject those things. So we wanna reject the counsel of the ungodly. Then he says, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. So what is a scornful person? Somebody who's scornful is somebody who's very disrespectful, very arrogant, constantly just insulting people, rude, things like that, okay, and oftentimes you'll notice in our society, people that have that attitude will often rise to positions of influence and people will look at them and they'll be like, man, that guy just says it like it is or that guy just says it like it is and they don't take any garbage from anyone and people will begin to look up to that person. But the problem is they're oftentimes scornful, scorners, okay, and we don't want to adopt their attitude. So notice those three things. Right off the bat, we are blessed if we reject those three things. Now look at verse number two. It says, but his, now who's the his there? Well, it's the blessed person. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate day and night. So obviously a great bit of wisdom there for us to make sure that you read the Bible every single day but not only that, you also want to meditate on it. You want to read something and really try to internalize it and I think just a great way to do that is in the morning and right before you go to bed. Okay, just pick something. You say, well, I'm not a big reader. That's fine. You know, what's today's date? The 21st, right? Well, go read Proverbs chapter 21 and pick something out of the beginning of the chapter in the morning to just think about and internalize and then at the end of the day, do the same thing for maybe the last half of the chapter. I think that's a good format to follow. If you're lost or you don't know maybe where to start, for me, I have sermons all over the place. I've got written down on sticky notes here and bookmarks at home. I got them everywhere. So I have no shortage of having to follow this. This is my job but if you don't have that job which most of you don't, you know, maybe just pick something like that. Pick your favorite book but just make sure that you meditate meaning thinking about this, not just reading for the sake of reading although we do need to read the Bible that way as well. You need to read through it but you also want to meditate. You want to think and really try to understand these concepts in the Bible. Look at verse three. He says, and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. This is a guarantee here, okay? But notice that it says that in his season, meaning what? It's not always our season. Sometimes God has to prune things. Sometimes God has to make cutbacks. Sometimes God has to teach us things and we have to be okay with that. We have to have patience and just realize that if we follow this program here, God will take care of the rest. So it says that we're gonna be rooted, built upon that strong foundation. Look at verse four. It says the ungodly are not so, okay? So here's the opposite of that. The ungodly are not so but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. I mean, even culture teaches you that, okay? Culture changes all the time. What's in season is not in season very long and things change. That is driven by culture, by the heathen, by society. Okay, look at verse number five. It says, therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. And you say, what in the world is that? Now I've heard somebody say, well, you know, the Bible says right here, it was somebody who was mocking the Bible. They say the Bible says that church is not a place for sinners and then it says we're all sinners, okay? And you know, the Bible also says to be aware of foolish questions and to reject those sorts of things. But if you follow the pattern here, you follow what is being taught. It says, therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in what? The judgment, okay? The person who rejects Christ their entire life, they are not gonna be able to stand up. They're gonna have nothing to fall back on. They don't have a savior. They're gonna wind up going to hell. That is what this is talking about. It says the judgment. Then it says nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. That is a reference to the kingdom of God is what that is. Okay, people often will put this group and say, oh, you know, everybody, I think we're all the children of God. I think Billy Graham said something to that effect. You know, I think that we're all the children of God and people just have to look to the light that they can see in their nation and they'll be blessed and God's gonna let them in. That's false doctrine, okay? If you're not saved, you're not getting in to the congregation of the Lord, which is made up now of what? Every believer on the planet. So it says in verse six, for the Lord knoweth the what? The way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Now, obviously God knows everything and the way of the righteous is what? Well, the fact that we're not righteous and the way that you get righteousness is God imputes it to you. God gives it to you. So with that foundation in mind, okay, there's a blessing for God's people. If they'll reject these three things in verse number one, the counsel of the ungodly, the way of sinners and what? People that are scornful, okay? We wanna stay away from that, away from those things. The rest takes care of itself. Now go over to chapter number two and you're gonna see the exact opposite of that. You're gonna see what happens when a world basically is filled with people that are the opposite of what you just read in chapter number one. And so let's take a look here. Look at verse number one. The Bible says, why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? And that's a great question. Why do the heathen rage? And of course, if you go to this church, you see it all the time, okay, every other week. You get to see it on Wednesday and Sunday, out front here, just right before your eyes. Other churches see it every single service that they have. I mean, it just depends. You go soul-winding, guess what? There's a good chance you're gonna see why the heathen rage. You ever wonder about that? Why is it that sometimes you knock on that one door and somebody just comes unglued? Like you killed their dog or you killed their cat just for simply doing this. That's all it takes in some cases. I think it was last week we were at this apartment complex. It's tucked away just right up colder, just like a minute from here. We knocked on the door and the lady seemed like all smiley at first and kind of happy. She's like, hi. And then she must have looked down and saw the Bibles and she's like, oh, about to go into an aneurysm. Then she's, you know, I just went through the process, you know, told her who we were. And she's like, ah, no, no, no, thank you. We don't like solicitors here. And then bam, I'm like, okay, well. Did you really have to bring that up? You know, just no thank you, not interested. That's how like seriously most people are. But the heathen have a different attitude, okay? People that have already heard about the word of God and gone through things and have decided to reject it, they have a whole nother countenance when you talk to them. And the problem is our world today is absolutely filled with them. And so the question is put out right away, chapter number two, why do the heathen rage? And you say, what is it about this question? Why does this come right after chapter number one? Well, because chapter number one, if you remember, we just went over it, sets the stage for a blessed person. It pits the kingdom of God up here, the kingdom of the children of the world or children of the devil down here. And then it's trying to teach us something here. Psalm chapter two is trying to explain to us where they go and what is gonna happen to them. First of all, notice that there's no peace. Why do the heathen rage? And the people imagine a vain thing. And that's why I titled the sermon Agitation Nation because things are just getting worse every single day. People are agitated, triggered all the time. I mean, this was last Sunday, as soon as we pulled up to church, guys waiting with two middle fingers up. And it's like, I know you can't see me because my windows are pretty dark, pretty tinted, but he just had to get that out there. And then they made sure and stayed all service. And it's just absolutely ridiculous. But what does that mean there at the end of the verse? And the people imagine a vain thing. I mean, we could literally spend all night on this. There's all kinds of examples. Brother Joe Maples sent me a video, I think it was earlier this week. And it's about some schools in the United Kingdom. And these schools over there in the UK are actually being forced to go along with children that identify as cats, dinosaurs, dogs, horses, the moon, and you know, I'm watching this and I'm like, this has to be Babylon B, okay? Like, what in the world is going on? Who came up, who imagined this? Well, the heathen did. The heathen imagined that. Jessica told me about one yesterday. There was a woman that went to the library and picked a children's book off the shelf and went to a school board meeting and began to read that children's book. And the school board told her to shut up or to get out because it was perverse what she was reading. And there's other videos online about this. People do this all the time. And she's like, why? I got this from the library, which you guys endorse. You're the ones that endorse this book. You guys allowed this stuff to be here, okay? What is your problem? Then what do they do? Instead of being like, oh, I guess we're hypocrites. Maybe we oughta change, what do they do? No, they rage, they foam at the mouth, they get upset. They get angry, and then who do they wanna blame? They wanna blame us. They wanna blame the fundamentalist. They wanna blame the Christian. They want to blame the haters. I mean, it just seems like we're living in the Twilight Zone. You know, in the West, you're taught that you can be anything you want, okay? You wanna be a male, you can be a male. If you're female, you know all this garbage. You can be a dog, a cat, doesn't matter, okay? You can be whatever you imagine. And we're also being taught, especially in this nation, to hate this nation because it's systemically racist, and it's just, you know, all this garbage. Meanwhile, these other countries, like China and Russia, and I'm not endorsing them. I mean, China hates the gospel. Putin has a law in place that you can only subscribe to, I think, Orthodox Christianity, their brand. So I'm not endorsing them, but you know what? At least they're not doing that to their children. At least their kids are learning science, math, actually getting an education, learning how to break down weapons and things like that. I'm bringing this up because something's going on, and it's gonna get bad at some point, not trying to scare you. It's just what I'm seeing here. But anyways, why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Well, let's get the answer here. Look at verse number two. The Bible says, the kings of the earth, very important here, the kings of the earth set themselves, okay? I think it's very interesting there, okay? Especially if you talk to a Calvinist, somebody who's taught that God, you know, that, well, God just chooses certain people and they're the elect, and it is what it is. He's got his reasons, whereas these people, they're just not gonna be the elect. They're just damned. Okay, well, here we see the opposite. Here we see the Bible says, the kings of the earth set what? Themselves. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed saying. Now, this is interesting. Several, several years ago, it was when I was still in the military, I remember going to this class on, I forgot, what did they call it? Sexual harassment, that's what it was called, okay? And this guy's teaching this class, and this is no joke, on the slide from his handbook, it said, here are people who we identify as terrorists or possible threats to the United States. It says, anyone who believes in the second coming of Christ, period, that's what it said. That was 2005. I got ahold of that book. I asked the instructor, can I take that book home? He's like, yeah, sure, sure. And I asked him what he thought about that statement. He's like, I don't believe that. It's just what I gotta teach, man. I'm like, okay, whatever. I can remember taking that book to other Christian pastors and saying, look, this is what we're being taught. And they're like, no, you know, that's just a misprint. That's just, you know, just gotta be a mistake. Our military wouldn't do that. There's no, you know, there's no reason for you to take that serious. I'm like, no, man, these people are crazy, and they hate Christians. They're like, no, they don't. You know, and I'm just getting sick of this. This was before I found out about any of this stuff that we're a part of today, about being a fundamentalist. And I'm thinking, you know, if I was smart in reading the Bible, first of all, I wouldn't have been in that church. But second of all, the answer's right here. This happens, okay? This is what the kings of the earth do. This is what the rulers do. And the judges, they gather themselves together, and they figure out how they can attack the Lord and his anointed, his people. This is what they do. Keep your place here and go to Ephesians chapter six real fast, Ephesians chapter number six. You know, people, oh, you know, the thing I don't like about you guys, you just got too many conspiracy things going on. Well, the Bible talks about it, okay? The Bible says that these people meet together for the sole purpose, to attack our God and God's people. That is what the Bible tells us. It doesn't say that the kings of the earth used to do this, or the kings of the earth in David's day did this. No, this is what they always do. Ephesians chapter number six, after we learn about why we need to put on the whole armor of God, verse 12 says, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Okay, so when you really think about that, now you can go back to Psalm chapter two, and you really think about that, and I've mentioned this many times here before, but these spiritual rulers of darkness, if you will, where do you find them? What does that verse say that they hang out? Well, in high places, in people of positions of power, okay? They go to influence your CEOs, your politicians, these elites in the world, that is where you're gonna find them, okay? And so because of that, if we rightly divide the word of truth, we learn that this is a real thing. This isn't us just being like, oh, let's try to get some views, or try to get people to feel sorry for us. No, this is what's going on. And it's kind of funny that people have been preaching stuff like this for many, many years. I mean, there have always been men of God in this nation and in this world that have preached this, have preached the word of God, you know, and people just blow it off. Oh, it's not that bad, it's not that serious. Now, we've got people saying, well, if you teach kids over in the UK, and I've even heard of this going on here, you have to allow that person to identify as whatever animal they choose to, because if not, then you're gonna get in trouble for offending them and discrimination, okay? So just understand these things happen. And it's even becoming more and more prevalent, okay? It's almost like they just can't hide it anymore with social media and the internet. Many of you probably already know about the Bohemian Grove. What goes on there? Okay, well, elites meet there and do perverted things and talk about what? Business, politics, and what are those ideas that come out of there do? Well, according to the Bible, okay, they are things that are against the Lord and against his anointed. That is what it is. What about the Bilderberger meeting? What about Epstein's Island? And you say, well, it got shut down. Yeah, because they got sloppy and got caught. How many more islands or how many more compounds are out there where those sick things take place where people meet up to talk and take counsel together to plan how they're gonna attack the Lord and go against his anointed? And you say, how could somebody do that? Because the heathen rage and these heathen that rage imagine vain things. They're so puffed up with vanity and pride, they literally think that they can fight against God and his people. I mean, why do you think Joe Biden and all of these other idiot politicians and his freak show of a cabinet put the sodomite flag equal with the American flag? Oh, what are you doing here? You're talking about the American flag? Shut up. It's a violation of the rules is what that was, okay? And the whole reason why they do that is because they hate God. They're not doing it to be all inclusive and to be kind. No, they hate God, okay? They hate the Lord Jesus Christ and they hate people like us. Look, you say you don't believe me? Just today, some fool, some clown, one of these stupid freaks, again, got her Google Business profile shut down, okay? They're like, how is that? Like, I'm the one that filled out the paperwork, you know, set all that stuff up, and all some fag has to do is just get online and submit some button and just say whatever, and Google's like, oh yeah, there's suspicious activity. We gotta shut you down because you violated our policies. They don't even tell you what it is. That stuff happens all the time. You know, they'll shut down our Google Voice so I can't even change the voice message. They'll take away five-star reviews every other week, okay? It's just, I mean, where do they come up with this stuff? It's because they hate God. We live in a world today ran by people that absolutely hate God, and let's continue. Look at verse number three. So here's their agenda specifically. Look at what they say. Let us, so remember, these people are meeting, okay? Their agenda is against the Lord and his anointed, meaning us, well, obviously Jesus Christ, but we're in Christ, so you see how that fits in there, but look at verse three. Let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. See, what in the world does that mean, they break their bands asunder? Well, bands in the Bible, you know, he's not talking about rubber bands. Bands are often described as groups of people, almost like a platoon or like a troop, a group of people, and so if you read the verse prior, what does it say? They want to attack the Lord and his anointed, okay, which is Jesus Christ, we're in Christ, we're in God, and so they want to break their bands asunder. They want to take the people, the children of God, and basically dash them into pieces and scatter them and remove them from the earth. That is what this is saying, but look what else they say. And cast away their cords from us. Their cords from us. Keep your place there and go to John chapter number 16, because I want to show you kind of how I see this play out here. Okay, so they want to break their bands asunder. They want to break the Lord's people. They want to, you know, scatter us, and it says they cast away their cords from us. What does that mean? Their cords from us. What does a cord do? Well, a cord, it reaches from one point to another, okay? So God has a cord from heaven to earth to other people. It goes, God, his children who can absorb and learn and preach truth, right? And we often preach that truth to the world, okay? And they hear this and they don't like it, and so they want to stop that here. But what does that look like for us today? Well, John chapter 16, look at verse number seven. This is Jesus speaking here, and he's teaching about the Holy Ghost. Look what he says here. John 16, verse seven. He says, nevertheless, I tell you the truth, okay? So just back up real quick, context here. Disciples are, they're sad, okay? They're upset because he keeps telling them he's going to go away, and they're like, no, what's going on? I thought the kingdom was going to be here now. So he's trying to comfort them. And he says, nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is expedient for you that I go away. For if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you. But if I depart, I will send him unto you. Look at verse number eight. And when he has come, he will reprove, look at this, the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. Now he's going to explain those three things and why those three things are on this list here. Look at verse number nine. Of sin, because they believe not on me. So what does the job, what does the Holy Ghost do? Okay, well, the Holy Ghost does a lot more than I can speak about in the next few minutes. But the main thing that we need to take away here is that the Bible says, Jesus said he will reprove the world of these three things, okay? Now remember, the law of God is written on the heart of men, okay? So it says that he's going to reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. And here's why, verse nine. Of sin, because they believe not on me. This happens every single day in the world, because every single day someone preaches the gospel. Someone goes to another person and tries to get that person saved. And in the process of that, as you all know, people reject that, okay? Verse number 10. Of righteousness, because I go to my Father and you see me no more. Now what is the world filled of? It's filled of the way of the sinner. It's filled of the way of the scornful. It's filled with the arrogant and the proud, the ungodly, as we just read in Psalm chapter one. Now look at verse 11. Of judgment, and here's why. Because the prince of this world is judged. You know what I find interesting about that? You want to say, prove this to me right now. Sure, the attack on judgment, okay? The attack on judgment that our culture is trying to so-called fight, you know, the don't judge, you shouldn't judge. It's why are you judging? The Bible says don't judge. You'll often see that written in chalk out here on the sidewalk, don't judge. Where does that come from? Where does that don't judge me come from? It comes from the fact that the devil is judged. And you know who keeps reminding the world of that? People filled with the Holy Ghost, okay? So you see that chord? That chord is us today. God gave us his word, told us to go out and preach it, and the byproduct of that is people hear it and some of them rage, some of them imagine a vain thing, some of them want us removed from the earth and therefore we have all of these crazy laws trying to be put into place. Now go back to Psalm chapter number two and we'll get moving on here. So again, let's read verse two and three again. Psalm 2, two, the kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed, okay? Now obviously this is Christ, but we're in him, okay? Now when they're doing this, remember who's present. It's the prince of the power of the air, it is the devil himself. Verse three, let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. This is cancel culture right here, okay? This is your Silicon Valley people sitting around in a dark room eating cheese puffs saying, boy, I can't stand the new IFB, I can't stand these people out there that are saying that God created them both male and female. You know, they're sitting around, they're really focusing on how to cancel us and they're setting up our current infrastructure in the world so that one day no one can buy or sell unless they have a mark, you can already see that going on. Where does that come from? These types of people, okay? Look at verse number four. And so now here's the comforting part for us. Verse four, he that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh. The Lord shall have them in derision. Now this is just kind of a funny little tidbit. A few years ago I started writing down just little, little conspiracies that people would say on info wars and please don't get me, don't misunderstand me. I understand people get their news from there sometimes and they do report truth. But there are some people that they bring on that make some pretty elaborate claims, you know, and they'll say this is gonna happen in July or this is gonna happen on this date. Now I'll write it down and I'll wait and see if it comes to pass. And I have a whole mess of those I need to bring in one of these days. But you know what that is? That's God laughing, that's God having these people in derision because though they sit around and they come up with all these plans, the only way it's gonna unfold is the way it unfolds in the Bible, okay? So when someone comes at you with some of this stuff, you gotta kind of sit back a little bit and think, like how does that fit into the Bible, okay? How does that fit in there? Can I see that? And if not, you need to put that over here and just kind of let it, you know, see what happens, okay? Just, you know, that is part of the program. God laughs at these people. He mocked them. Look at verse five. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in his sore displeasure. Well, that's not the God of most people around this area, I'll tell you that. God would never do something like that. You must be reading from the Quran. No, this is the word of God. Look at the verse again. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in his sore displeasure. So God is saying here that he's gonna literally torture these people in his wrath. Now, how is he gonna do that? How does he do that? Well, keep your place there, but go to Hebrews chapter number one. Hebrews chapter number one. Now keep in mind, this Psalm is a prophecy about the Lord's anointed, about the Lord Jesus Christ. And this says here that God laughs at people who desire to attack him and attack God's people. But it also says that he's gonna vex these people. He's gonna speak unto them. So the question is, how does that look? How is that gonna happen? Well, here's your answer. Hebrews chapter one, look at verse number one. It says, God, who at sun-dry times and in diverse manners, spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets. So notice that verse there, notice verse number one. So at the time this Psalm was written, okay, so when David was alive, Old Testament, God used different ways of talking to people who talked to the prophets. There were different manners. You had the Urim and the Thummim and things they don't have time to get into today. But the Bible clearly says here now in our day, that was in times past, okay? Meaning there's a different way today. Look at verse two, hath in these last days, okay? This is where we fit in. This is how we read Psalm chapter two and apply verse five in our day. Look at this, verse two, hath in these last days spoken, past tense meaning one time, spoken unto us by his what? Son whom he hath appointed. Who is his son? The word of God. By his son whom he hath appointed, look at this, heir of all things by whom also he made the world. Verse number three, who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person and upholding all things by, look at this, the what? The word of his power. When he had by himself purged our sin, sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high. So you say, how does God speak unto the world today? How does he use his cords? Well, not only with the Holy Ghost, but obviously through preaching the word of God, okay? That is what it means. And so with that, we need to understand that these tough subjects that are brought up on a daily basis and these hard things in the Bible that go in the face of culture today, it is our duty, it is our job to stand up against those things and to use the Bible and to use the word of God to preach against them. And I have to bring this up because there are people out there that are saved that will often message and if you just tone it down, if you would just stop, if you would just take it offline and just preach it to your church, you would have a much bigger church and you would be much more profitable. Look, I've got no problems with working a job. I'm a workaholic, I don't care. I'll say whatever I want. And if it offends you, I don't care. And you know what, nobody in here cares either. So take that. So go back to Psalm chapter number two. So verse number five again, then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in a sort of displeasure. You know, it's our job to preach the word of God. A byproduct of that is it literally tortures some people. It literally vexes the rulers of the world and the kings of the earth. Hey, they know about us. I know this mayor knows about us. 100% she does. The governor knows about us. A lot of people here know about us. Other churches that are preaching the truth and standing on the word of God, their politicians know about them, okay? I guarantee you that people that are very high up in society know who we are. The FBI knows, all these different organizations know and they're upset, they're mad. Why? Because the word of God vexes them. But don't get discouraged, don't get mad, don't be afraid. God is using us to fulfill what this says right here. God is using us to preach truth and if that vexes those people, then so be it, let it be what it is. At some point in time, all these people are gonna be made the enemies, or I'm sorry, they're gonna be put under the feet of Christ is what the Bible says. They're gonna be made the footstool for the Lord. Look at verse number six. The Bible says this. Yet have I set my, and here it is, King upon my holy hill of Zion. You see, why does it say I have set my king? Whose king is he talking about there? He's talking about Jesus Christ because the Bible says in Revelation chapter 13, verse eight that he is the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world. What Jesus did, I mean, think about this. He's eternal, okay? He's eternal. The word of God has always existed, okay? So that's why it reads as present tense. So don't let that throw you off and be like, oh, which king is he talking about? David, who's talking about Christ. Okay, look at verse seven. I will declare, look at this word here, the decree. The Lord has said unto me, thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. Okay, so that's another clue for you today at who he's talking about. How many begotten sons does God have? One, the Lord Jesus Christ, which by the way is why another reason, like, you know, if you needed another reason to hate the modern versions, okay, most of the modern versions leave that out of John chapter three, verse 16, and they just say, well, for God so loved the world that he gave his son or he gave his only son. Well, all of us in here that are, I mean, we're all the sons and daughters of God. He has many sons, but only one begotten. It's very, very important. But look at the beginning of the verse there. This is God saying, I will declare the decree. A decree is an official order issued by a legal authority. That's what a decree is. In this book here, the Bible is a giant decree from God. So you see that there, that decree, and then you see son begotten, okay? What is that? You put that together, that is the word of God. That is Jesus Christ. Look at verse number eight. Ask of me and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance in the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. So there's another verse that goes right in the face of all these people. Jesus loves everybody and he accepts everyone and all are welcome. Not according to this, according to this, there's heathen here and Christ is able to ask for them. Look at this here in verse number nine. Here's what he's gonna do with them. Thou shalt break them, break them with a rod of iron. Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. The question is, how well do you know Jesus Christ? Okay, so when people say stuff like this, it really should make you wonder, are you saved? This is talking about Christ and he will take the heathen, he will take those who rage against him, those that imagine vain things against him and against his kingdom and he will break them with that rod of iron. He will dash them into pieces like a potter's vessel. Real quickly, we're getting close to being done but go to Revelation chapter number two. We're gonna go to two places in Revelation chapter two. We'll finish this chapter and we'll be done. Revelation chapter number two. Some similar language here. Revelation chapter two. Look at verse number 16. So this is the portion of scripture talking about the church in Pergamos. Look at verse 16. This is what Christ is saying unto that church but look what he says here in verse 16, Revelation two. He says, repent or else I will come unto thee quickly and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. This is the rod of iron that is also talked about in the Bible. It's God's decree, it's God's law. There's a lot of synonyms, a lot of different ways that you can say that. And God does this. He fights against people how? With the sword of his mouth, with his word. You see that so consistently through the Bible but yet what is constantly attacked today? The word of God. Oh, we need more versions. Oh, we need to dig up more truth and know this might be right. This might not be right. Go over to Revelation 19. Revelation chapter number 19. Look down at verse number 11. This is talking about the second coming of Christ. Look at this here. The Bible says in verse 11. So John describing the vision here, the second coming, he says, and I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse and he that sat upon him was called faithful and true. And in righteousness, he doth judge and make war. That is our savior that this is talking about here. That is who he is. Verse 12, his eyes were as a flame of fire and on his head were many crowns. And he had a name written that no man knew but he himself, verse 13, and he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood. That's a garment, okay? And it says, and his name is called what? The word of God. Verse 14, and the armies which were in heaven followed him upon the white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Verse 15, here it is again. And out of his mouth goeth a what? Sharp sword that with it he should smite the nations and he shall rule them with a rod of iron. And he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of almighty God. That is exactly what is being talked about in Psalm chapter number two, look at verse 16. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, king of kings and Lord of lords, verse 17. And I saw an angel standing in the sun and he cried with a loud voice saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, come and gather yourselves together into the supper of the great God, look at verse 18, that ye may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of captains and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of them that sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. And so just for context, say you go back to Psalm chapter two, remember the battle of Armageddon, these people gather themselves together to fight against the Lord and his armies. That is what the anti-Christ will basically trick people into thinking they can accomplish. And here we get to see the end, that God doesn't even have to come down and get physical. All he has to do is speak the word and he will dash them into pieces. So back to Psalm nine, I'm sorry, Psalm chapter two, verse nine, hopefully that kind of will help bring this verse out a little more. Thou shall break them with a rod of iron, thou shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. That is our savior, that is Jesus Christ. Verse 10, he says this. So the Psalm kind of changes gears here, okay? And shows God's mercy and the fact that God has given opportunity to the wise, opportunity to the kings and the rulers of the earth. Look what it says in verse 10, be wise now therefore. So he's like, hey, this is the warning, okay? So be wise, you already know this is coming. Be wise, he says, be wise now therefore, oh ye kings, be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. And then finally verse 12, kiss the son, lest he be angry and he perish from the way. What does that mean, perish from the way? You know what that is? That is the reprobate doctrine. What is the way? The way is what we preach, the way of God. Have God died on the cross for all of our sins, you put your faith and trust in him, you're saved forever, that is the way. The gospel that we preach is referred to oftentimes in the New Testament as the way. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father but by me. In the Bible here it says, kiss the son. The S-O-N, kiss the son, lest he be angry. Meaning if you don't do this, you see the son, which everybody does, everybody sees the word, everybody knows that God exists, whether they want to admit that or not, it is the truth. So he says, kiss the son, lest he be angry. And ye perish from the way when his wrath is kindled but a little. And then finally it ends where we started in chapter one. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. And it ends that way because it's some pretty heavy stuff. You know, some pretty terrifying things that are gonna happen in the end times. But we are blessed and regardless of what laws are passed, regardless of what the heathen rage about and the vain things that they imagine against us and our savior, it doesn't matter because we're blessed and they're gonna get smoked either way. So we're gonna stop right there. Let's bow our heads and have a word of prayer. Thank you so much, Lord. Again, for this church and for everything that you do for us. I just pray that you help us to remember these things but also to internalize them so that we can comfort people that need it, Lord. We thank you again in Jesus' name I pray, amen. All right. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Amen.
