We'll look at some announcements real quickly. If you do not have a bulletin just raise your hand and one of our ushers can get one for you. If you need a bulletin just put your hand up and we will get one for you. The verse this week Proverbs 21, 23. Who so keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. And that's a good verse there. We like that. If you open up your bulletin you'll see our service time Sunday morning service 10.30 am. We had a wonderful service this morning. We're glad you're back out of course for the evening service tonight. And we do invite you to be with us on Wednesday night for the midweek Bible study. If you look at our sowing times, our main sowing times on Saturday mornings at 10 am and then we have additional sowing times on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 2 pm. If you are a sowinger don't forget to add your salvations on the communication card so we can add those to the bulletin. If you have a map that you did not finish clearly mark what was done, what was not done and put it in the bin in the foyer so we can get that recycled through and get it done. And if you're running late you can call us or text us there at the number 916-868-9080 Let us know your plan on being there but you're running late. That way our team captains can make sure they have a partner and a map and anything you need. If you are a first time guest, if it's your first time here at Verity Baptist Church we're glad you're with us. We have a gift we'd like to give you as you walk out of the church building tonight. If you go out our main foyer or out our secondary foyer you'll see a little table set up and on that table you'll see these little gift bags. Please make sure you grab one on your way out as a gift from us to you for being our guest tonight. There are several resources in this bag that we'd like you to have but the one I like to highlight is this documentary that our church made. It's called Being Baptist and it's very well made, very interesting. We think you'll like it and want to give this to you as a gift so please make sure you don't leave here tonight without grabbing one of these gift bags and if you are a guest we'd ask that you please take a moment and fill out the communication card which is inserted in your bulletin. If you need a pen just raise your hand and one of our ushers can bring you by a Verity Baptist Church pen. You're welcome to keep the pen as a gift from us as well and we'd like to send you a little gift and we'd like to have a record of your attendance but we need your info to do that so please take a moment to fill the card out. When we're done with the announcements we're going to sing a song. When we're done singing we're going to receive the offering and as the offering goes by you can drop this card in the offering plate. If you look at the announcements there of course we are a family integrated church. Children and infants are always welcome in the service. We don't separate children from their parents for any reason. If you need to be baptized please let us know. We'd love to baptize you. The baptistry is filled, the water is warm and you can let us know on your communication card that you'd like to speak to somebody about that. If you look at the announcements and upcoming events of course we've got our sermon series that we're going through on Sunday morning's judgment, Sunday night declaring doctrine and then the book of Amos on Wednesday night and then the big announcements of the big event that we have coming up is the next generation youth rally. That's March 7th through the 8th and we've been preparing for this and there's a lot of work that has gone into it and this week we're one week away. This week just pray for us because we're probably going to be working around the clock just to kind of get everything where it needs to be so we would appreciate your help any way that you can. A couple of things the way that you could help if you'd like to help is to sign up for the Cookie Fellowship on both Tuesday night and Wednesday night after the services we're having a Cookie Fellowship and we've got clipboards in the foyer. You can sign up to bake cookies or buy cookies, bring cookies and we'll enjoy those after the evening services. I want to make sure that our church family knows that everyone is invited for the evening services so there are events all day long on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Obviously most of that is for the teens. It is a conference for teens but on the evening services everyone is invited to come and we want to encourage you to be here. Of course Pastor Anderson from Faith Forward Baptist Church in Tempe Arizona is going to be preaching for us on Tuesday night March 7th and then I'll be preaching on Wednesday night March 8th and the services start at 7pm so just get here, be here and I guess the advice that I would give you I feel like a lot of people, maybe people in our church or people in our movement I've never really experienced a youth rally or a youth conference but just get on board alright so the services are not going to be like a normal church service. They're going to be geared for the kids. We're going to have a lot of games and competition a lot of fun and preaching for the teens but just be excited and we're going to have teams competing and different games so make sure you're cheering for them and all of that. There have been questions about the wrestling shows. There's going to be a wrestling show after the services, both evening services we're going to have a ring set up in the fellowship hall for the wrestling show and the church family is invited to stick around for that but obviously the priority is for the kids, the kids that have registered for the conference and the delegates that are coming we have people coming from different states and all of that so in the fellowship hall we're going to have the ring set up and there'll be seats we just want to make sure the kids get a good seat but I'm sure we'll have enough seats for everybody or you can stand up in the back if you'd like. We're going to be open up the roll up doors and have chairs outside so we'll make it work and you're welcome to stick around for that but it's going to be a great event and if it seems like I'm not being that excited about it it's just because I'm very tired because we are staying up late and working on stuff and getting things ready but please be in prayer and be praying for our church family too. We've got so many families that are out sick right now and just pray that they can all be in the back and just pray that they can all be better by March 7th and make sure we have a good showing for the conference and that we can get everything done well. So if you look at the announcements there we have a baby shower for Ms. Skylar Thompson on Saturday March 18th at 3pm and Ms. Skylar is having a girl she's registered on Amazon and is a potluck so if you can please bring a dish to share if you'd like to attend you can sign up on your communication card and then we have the vision offering coming up on Sunday March 26th. I'm not going to go through the whole card but I do want you to be aware that there's a card in your bulletin about our vision offering and I'd love for you to just go through it read it and this is a special offering we take every spring and if you would just pray about participating we would appreciate that. Nine chapters a day go by and check for your name if you've not done that yet. BBC choir they started practice today homeschool group they've got a PE class this Thursday March 2nd at 10am and then there's other things there for you to look at please don't forget to turn your cell phones off or place them on silent during the service they're not a distraction to anybody. If you look at the back of the bulletin birthdays and anniversaries for the month of February we have Elijah Usher's birthday is tomorrow February 27th. Ms. Julissa Zuniga has a birthday on February 28th. Brother Mike and Ms. Blanca Beale have an anniversary on February 28th. Valente and Ms. Nicole Perez have an anniversary on February 28th and Ms. Denise Anderson has a birthday on March 4th. Praise report money matters all those things are there for you to look at and I think that's it for all of the announcements so let's go ahead and take our song books and we're going to go to page number 27 page number 27 and we're going to sing the old rugged cross as we prepare to receive the offering tonight. Page number 27 page number 27 the old rugged cross let's go ahead and sing it out on the first on a hill far away to an old rugged cross the emblem of suffering and shame and I love that old cross and fast the world of was sinners was swaying so I'll cherish the old rugged cross I told you at last I lay down I will lead you to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown page number 27 let's go ahead and sing it out on the second I realize it's Sunday night you're probably tired I'm tired but it's about the cross so let's sing it out with some passion on the second oh that old rugged cross so despised by the world and wondrous attraction for you for the near lamb of God let his glory above you bear it in thy glory so I'll cherish the old rugged cross till my trophies at last I lay down I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown in the old rugged cross a wondrous view what was on that old cross was a summer and night to find it and sanctify me so I'll cherish the old rugged cross till my trophies at last I lay down I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown to the old rugged cross I will never be true if shame and greed grows widely bare we'll call them someday to thy home far away where in glory forever I'll share so I'll cherish the old rugged cross till my trophies at last I lay down I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown Amen, good singing, we'll have the guys come up and help us with the offering at this time and let's go ahead and bow our heads to the Bible to prayer. Heavenly Father, Lord, we do ask that you bless the offering the gift and the giver. Lord, we ask that you meet with us tonight as we take some time to study the Bible together. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
