Wednesday night, you're going to get teaching that you don't always get on a Sunday, just because Sunday we tend to do a lot of topical sermons, just things that are going on in the world, or just topics that I see in scripture that I want to preach on. But Wednesday, I mean, we're covering verse by verse. We go through entire chapters, so things that I might not even think to preach on, I'm forced to preach on that because we're going through the entire Bible. So there's a lot of things that get picked up on Wednesday nights. I encourage you, if you can, to make it out here. I understand people live far away. Some people it's not really feasible, but come out to Wednesday night service. There's a lot of great things that we see and learn from the Bible on those nights. We've got the soul-winning opportunities listed there, as well as the salvation and baptisms for the month as well as for the year. Let's go ahead and count up. Are there any salvations to report for the week? Anyone again, any salvations? Yes, sir. Friday one. One yesterday, amen. Royal Carter, was that at the wedding? Oh, okay, okay, all right, I was just curious. Anyone else have anything to report? All right, very good. Keep up the good work preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Of course, we're going out this afternoon. If you'd like to join us, just stick around after service. We pair people up. Even if you've never done this before, if you're maybe nervous, you don't know how it's gonna work, you have nothing to worry about. We'll pair you up with people who are very experienced. You don't have to say anything. Just come and join us. You go, we call it a silent partner. You just go alongside someone else here from our church to see how we show people, how we interact with people and try to discuss the gospel of Jesus Christ and just show them how to be saved from scripture. We only talk to people who are interested in talking. We're not trying to cram anything down anybody's throats. If they wanna talk, great. We'll have a conversation with them. If they don't wanna talk, we move on. So it's not that awkward, right? These people think that if you don't know what to expect, you know, you've never done it before, you might be thinking all kinds of things. I mean, I know I did before I started going out and talking to people. I had no idea what to expect, but you realize it's actually not that intimidating. It's not too scary. It's very normal actually. And it'll also help equip you to be able to show your friends and loved ones how to be saved from the scriptures and just kind of show them how, what the Bible says about being saved. So it's a great opportunity. Join us for that. Offering totals listed down there at the bottom of the page for the month of March. Prayer requests, we got a few additions here to our prayer requests. Of course, continue to pray for all of our women who are with child in the church. And then also everyone else who's been on the list. We added Earl Darby. This is Keith's father. And we're gonna pray for his health and his mental alertness recently he's taken a turn for the worse. So those of you who know Keith, if you're familiar with Keith, he's been coming for a little while now. And we've been praying for his dad. Many of you at least have personal conversations with him. But just pray that, he said he's taken a turn for the worse kind of mentally. So it's hard to even communicate with him anymore. And he's very concerned about his salvation. So please be in prayer that Keith's father, Earl, have opportunity to be able to hear and understand and also just be well for as long as God will allow. And then also just pray for, I don't have him on here, but pray for Keith too. He's under the weather. I talked to him yesterday on the phone. He's sick, he's got some kind of a cold or something. So just pray that he'll get well soon. Pray for the Goodwin family. There's a family from Steadfast Baptist Church that were involved in a car accident. And some of the children and people suffered injuries in that wreck. And then they also lost their youngest child. So very, very, very sad situation. Please pray for that family. I know they set up a fundraising campaign. And last time I checked, they'd raised a significant amount of money, which is great. Praise God for that. Because then that's one less area of stress that they'll have to focus on. If you're interested in donating, that you could ask me later or look online on social media, on Facebook and YouTube. I think there's videos out there that Steadfast definitely has put out to support the family there. But please keep them in your prayers for sure. This is gonna be a long process for them. It's a very traumatic experience. So please pray for them. And then pray for Caleb and Ben Dodson for the loss of their mother. That was in the month of February. Steadfast Baptist Church remains on our churches and pastors prayer request for the week as they are still, to my knowledge, still looking for a place to be a little bit more permanent in residing as a church, as they've faced their own battles and struggles with people who hate God. So please continue to pray for them. On the next page, congratulations to Brian Saab. Of course they're not here, they're on their honeymoon. They got married yesterday. So that was a great opportunity for me to be able to perform a wedding. It's my second wedding now in this church. And always makes me very happy to see that. So be sure to congratulate them when they get back. I think they'll be back next week. But that was a really good time. I had an opportunity to preach the gospel there as well during the reception. So that was very good. Continuing on here, we got the April challenge. And the challenge for this month is to spend one hour every day doing something spiritual, such as praying, Bible reading, memorizing, soul winning, any of those types of activities, things that you would probably normally think are spiritual activities. And even singing hymns is something, it's a spiritual activity where you're supposed to sing psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, and sing and make a melody in your heart to the Lord. Those are things that I do consider also as being spiritual things. And coming to church, yes, is a spiritual activity. I mean, coming up here, showing up, singing the praises, and dedicating your time to serve the Lord. So coming on Sundays, you've already got, you've got those days. You come to church, you've got your hour filled, right? For at least for the challenge purpose. But this is something that we're supposed to be doing every single day of the week, every day. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, dedicating an hour, just making sure you're keeping track that you are doing whatever activity. And pay attention to the time, don't just assume, like, well, I think it's been about 30 minutes. Sometimes, especially with things like prayer, you think you've been praying for a really long time. And it hasn't been. If you remember the prayer challenge, if you participate in that, you kind of realize, wow, you know, I didn't, you know, I feel like I pray a lot, but then when I look at the clock, it's like, okay, it's been like three minutes, so. So yeah, I just, you know, and the thought here is to grow, right? And also just to be able to be a challenge, something more maybe than you're used to, and to, you know, dedicate a little bit of your time to serving the Lord. You've got plenty of waking hours in a day if you sleep eight hours a day. That's 16 hours to do with whatever, with your time. So one hour for the Lord is not really asking much at all. That's not even a tenth of your time that's given to him. So anyways, that's a challenge for the month of April. Just a notice here that we will be observing the Lord's Supper or communion, whatever words you choose to associate with that. We will be doing that, observing that on Wednesday, April 13th here as a church. So hopefully you can make it out for that. And then on our Bible memory passage, we're on week six of nine of Hebrews chapter two. If you can memorize the entire passage, word perfect, without making any mistakes, we'll quote it out loud to someone else. You'll earn a prize for being able to do that. Upcoming events, we've got the soul-winning marathon in Macon, Georgia on April 16th. There's another homeschool field trip scheduled for April 29th now near the end of this month. And that's gonna be in Delonaga, and it's gonna be at noon at the Consolidated Gold Mine. The sign-up sheet is in the clipboard there, the metal clipboard over on the side. So any homeschoolers wanna go to this event. So it says at noon, noon is gonna be lunch. We're gonna be providing some sandwiches. So if you wanna show up early, you could show up right at the place. There's picnic tables out front. We'll have a picnic lunch for you. And then after, I think at one o'clock is the tour. The tour is approximately two hours. So it's gonna be gold mining, gem, stuff like that, right? So I think the kids will get involved with doing some of that stuff, maybe doing some panning. And it should be a lot of fun. So if you can make it out to that, we'd love to have you there. Of course, everything is free of charge, but we do ask that you just let us know that if you're coming specifically for lunch is what the sign-up sheet is for, just to make sure we have enough food. We're gonna be buying the tickets at the door this time. We don't need to have the tickets pre-purchased, which in some cases we do. So what we really need is if you plan on coming for lunch, at the lunch part for the homeschool field trip, sign up for that so that we can make sure we have enough food for everyone who plans on attending. Church anniversary picnic is June 25th. That's a Saturday, followed by that Sunday is going to be our big service there celebrating our anniversary. And then July 10th, we have Pastor Anderson is gonna be preaching for our church, both services on that Sunday. On the back, we have our upcoming birthdays and anniversaries for the month of April. Today is Vernon and Leah Miller's anniversary. So hopefully they're having a good time enjoying each other and enjoying their anniversary. And we love to see and celebrate anniversaries in church, especially in the day and age where so many people are not staying married in our American culture anymore. We love to celebrate marriages, especially marriages that have been going on for many, many years. So that's about it for our announcement. So I'm gonna ask, oh, one other announcement. Okay, I'll bring this up now. I don't like bringing up things when they're not really solid, but it is pretty exciting news. And I've already, you know, the cat's out of the bag a little bit. I've talked to a few people this morning, but I received an email from our landlord this week. And there's an opportunity potentially to expand and get some more space. So it is not set. I have not looked at any of the layouts or how everything would work. If it will work for us, I hope it will. It would be a great opportunity. It's much better than trying to find a place to move into because as we've been doing for a while, it's been very difficult trying to find another place to move to. So just be in prayer. Everything will work out for that. But I was excited to hear that that is potentially an option for us. And that's going to be one that I will be pursuing this week and see if that will work out for us. Hopefully the floor plan, everything will be able to just expand and continue to stay in our current area. That'd be ideal. This is exactly what I want to be able to have happen. And it'll provide an ample amount of space to continue to grow. So just pray about that this week, if you would. I appreciate it. And that is it for our announcement. So brother Peter, please come up and lead us in our next song. Oh, I'm sorry. One more thing, one more thing. I can't believe I almost forgot about this. We have a guest with us. Many of you, or a few of you were able to meet her last week that has done an interview and she's going to be filming and doing a little bit of just getting some shots of the crowd. Is there anyone here? Now, this is not the same as WSB Atlanta coming out and putting us on the evening news. This is for a project for a university that, she conducted an interview with me last week on what's going on with gender identity and the use of pronouns, a crazy use of pronouns these days. So I gave my thoughts on that, which I could probably fairly say is our thoughts as a church on that. And that went really well, but I'm just requesting, is there anyone that would be opposed to being on film? Like I said, it's going to be used for classroom. You said maybe on public, like a public broadcasting. Okay. If he likes it, right. So there's a possibility that it might go and be aired on. It's not a television, okay. Okay, so on a website. So is there anyone here? Because I'm concerned just about, if anyone here has concerns and be like, you know what, I really just don't want to have my face out there. Is there anyone that feels that way? And I won't feel any less. I just want to make sure that everyone's comfortable. If she takes some footage to be able to, it's potentially going to be up online. Very good. Just raise your hand if there's an issue. Okay. If you didn't feel comfortable raising your hand, you could talk to me in just a minute. But I think we're good. Feel free to get any type of footage you'd like from front or from back or whatever. However, that's going to work out for you. And that's it for the announcements. Thank you. Brother Peter, please. All right, church, if you can hold the hymnals of song number 15. Song number 15, lead me to count. Song number 15. All right, church, let's sing this out with all our hearts. King of my life, I crown thee now. And shall the glory be. Lest I forget thy form, crown, crown, lead me to Calvary. Lest I forget Castemini. Lest I forget thy agony. Lest I forget thy love for me. Lead me to Calvary. Show me the tomb where thou wast slain, tenderly worn and wed. Angels in protest, light of rain, guard in thee most how sad. Lest I forget Castemini. Lest I forget thy agony. Lest I forget thy love for me. Lead me to Calvary. Lead me like Mary through the gloom of with a gift to thee. Show to me now the empty tomb. Lead me to Calvary. Lest I forget Castemini. Lest I forget thy agony. Lest I forget thy love for me. Lead me to Calvary. May I be willing, Lord, to bear daily my cross for thee. Even thy love was great to share. Thou hast drawn for me. Lest I forget Castemini. Lest I forget thy agony. Lest I forget thy love for me. Lead me to Calvary. Amen, church. At this time, I ask the lushers to take a quick walk. I'll let your Sunday morning off. All right, church, while the offering plate is being passed around, if you could open up your Bibles to the Book of Luke, Chapter 3. That was the Book of Luke, Chapter 3, and as we do Castemini here at Stronghold Baptist Church, we're going to read the entire passage. I'm going to ask Brother Devin if he can please do that for us. Once again, that was Luke, Chapter 3. Now, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being Tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother, Philip, Tetrarch of Etraea, and of the region of Tranonditus and Licinius, the Tetrarch of Albany, Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John, the son of Zacharias, in the wilderness, and he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah, the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His path straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. Then said He to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of Him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father. For I say unto you that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees. Every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. And the people asked Him, saying, What shall we do then? He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none, and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed to you. And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And to them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely, and be content with your wages. And as the people were in expectation, and all men amused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ or not, John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water, but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose, He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire, whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner, but chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people, but here the tetrarch being reproved by him for Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison. Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also being baptized and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven which said, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, as was supposed the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, which was the son of Matvet, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchiah, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Matthathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Nahum, which was the son of Islai, which was the son of Nagi, which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Matthathias, which was the son of Simei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Judah, which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorababel, which was the son of Saliphael, which was the son of Mirai, which was the son of Melchiah, which was the son of Adai, which was the son of Kosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Ur, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Eleazar, which was the son of Joram, which was the son of Metethath, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Judah, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim, which was the son of Meliah, which was the son of Minan, which was the son of Metetha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David, which was the son of Jesse, which was the son of Obed, which was the son of Boaz, which was the son of Salmon, which was the son of Naysan, which was the son of Amenadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Isram, which was the son of Therese, which was the son of Judah, which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thera, which was the son of Nachor, which was the son of Saruk, which was the son of Aragua, which was the son of Felek, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Salah, which was the son of Canaan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sim, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech, which was the son of Methuselah, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Melaleel, which was the son of Canaan, which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Let's pray. Dear Lord, thank you for this chapter. I pray that you would bless our service now for us. Help Pastor as he comes to preach the word filled with your spirit. Help us all to please have ears to hear and help us to apply the things we hear this morning to our lives. To the best of our ability. And in Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Alright, the part of the passage I want to focus in on here in Luke chapter number 3 is starting there in verse number 10, where it says, And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? He answerth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats let him impart to him that hath none, and he that hath meat let him do likewise. Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely, and be content with your wages. And what we see here is people who have come to John the Baptist to get baptized, we have to assume these people are saved, right? So he's giving them instruction now after they're saved. Of course this isn't, you need to do these things to be saved, right? This isn't a works-based salvation. John the Baptist didn't preach works. No one preached works salvation. But what do we do after we're saved? Hey, what should we do now? You know, I just got saved. I'm born again. I'm a child of God. I want to do what's right. And we have different people that have different occupations and kind of in different situations that just come to them and say, Well, hey, so what am I supposed to do? What's right? What is the right thing to do, right? It's a great question. And honestly, these are a lot of the topics that I try to cover as a pastor for the church because, you know, if I just preach salvation every single service, you're going to be like, Great, I'm saved already, but what should I do, right? What's the right thing to do? We want to keep growing and doing what's right and gain favor with God and live a holy, separated life and continue to improve. So in the spirit of what's being mentioned here, and one of the things that you notice is that it's referring to people kind of based on their occupation, right? So when the publicans approach, a publican was like a tax collector. So they're coming to him and saying, Well, hey, what should we do? And when the publicans approach, he tells them, you know, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. So apparently, it was a common practice for publicans to not only charge the tax that's like the lawful tax or whatever on the land that they're supposed to collect, but they'd also get a little bit for themselves. Be like, Oh, yeah, well, you owe, you know, this, this, this and kind of skim a little off the top and put it in their pocket and make money that way. So he's saying, Don't do that, right? That's stealing. He's kind of calling that out. And sometimes people don't really think about things. Unfortunately, to me, it's pretty obvious. But if you have a tradition and kind of things that these are the way they go, and this is a fringe benefit of having a guy of this job and, Hey, this is what we're all doing. You kind of go along with that people have a tendency to go along with things like that without giving it much thought. But if you care about what's right, then John the Baptist tell him, Hey, this is what you just don't do that. Don't do that practice. And then the soldiers, of course, come to him and say, Hey, this is what you just don't do, right? He tells them first, do violence to no man. And they say, Well, they're soldiers. How could they do violence? Violence isn't, isn't just like doing harm, okay? So obviously, part of a soldier's job is going to be to fight battles or fight wars, right, or do some defending. When the Bible's talking about violence there, it's about like, you know, in a sense of violating somebody, right? So in a war, in a battle, in a combat situation, or, you know, you're defending your country, that is not what he's referring to as doing violence to no man, because you're a soldier, you'll be doing your job. Because otherwise, he would have to say, Well, quit your job, right? Because one of their duties is going to be to inflict harm on someone else in the course of being a soldier. So if doing violence to no man meant, Well, just go and quit your job, because then the next thing he says, and then also be happy with your wages, right? Be content with your wages. So obviously, he's not telling them to leave their jobs. Just stay there, be content with your wages, and do violence to no man. I mean, you're not going and doing anything extra that you shouldn't be doing. And we all know that this happens in warfare, too, right? Soldiers go forth, and they end up abusing, oftentimes, people of the land, and, you know, civilians. They'll go in, and they'll beat them up, or they'll steal from them, or, you know, there's worse things that happen, right, where they do violence to people. They're violating people. That's not your job, right? And that's what he's telling them. This is the right thing to do. Don't do those things. Don't violate people. Do violence to no man. And then we close there with, and he also says, neither accuse any falsely, right? You're not there to just start throwing out railing accusations against people to try to give yourself the, what you might think is the moral high ground to do something. Look, you don't know. You can't just go in and start accusing people falsely. Be content with your wages. And this is going to segue into what I really want to cover, and we're going to see a lot more examples of. But just the fact that John the Baptist is teaching these things is one of the reasons why I'm teaching this this morning, and the title of my sermon is Succeeding on the Job. Succeeding on the Job. And I was just talking to my wife about this yesterday. I don't even know why it came up. Well, I know why it came up. It doesn't matter why it came up. It really does. It's kind of a waste of time to go into all that. But I've noticed this. I don't know if you've noticed this or not, and I've been trying to figure out where the root is, where the cause is. But I've noticed in Georgia, and I don't know if it's, like I said, I'm not sure if this is a generational thing, an area thing, or both. Because I definitely see a generational thing, and I don't know if it's related to that. And it has to do with the quality of work and just the work ethic that people have to do a good job and just to work at all. I've come across, you know, the work pool here that I've noticed is terrible with trying to get people to work and to do a job. I mean, it's horrible. It's horrendous. It's to the point of ridiculousness, things that I never would have thought would happen in the real world just in Georgia. In general, I mean, I see things and experience where, you know, companies now are paying bonuses for people to show up to work on time. Yes, you heard that right. If you show up to work on time, not early, on time consistently for, say, a few months, you get a bonus to incentivize people to show up to work. You say, why wouldn't you just, I mean, why would you tolerate that? Why would you put up with that? Just fire the people. I mean, this is my mindset, right? Just fire the people. Well, part of the problem is finding someone that will actually show up to work. This is a problem. Now, if this is a problem, now, if this is the way the world is going, the world's going to do what the world does, right? The world is not of God. But shame on you if you're a Christian and you have the same work ethic as the world and you fall into this category of people who are not willing to do work are just lazy people. Lazy people. And like I said, I don't know if it has to do with the area, I don't know. I know when I grew up in Chicago, it was not like that at all. But maybe it's a generation thing. Because the other problem is when people grow up and have everything, things become easier and the expectations go up of what you think you should have. People have a tendency to have more of an entitlement attitude saying, well, I deserve this. This ought to come to me as opposed to I need to work. Nothing is given to me. Nothing is just granted. You have to work your tail off in order to get anything accomplished or get things done. And you're not promised any of those things. But as societies, as people get more wealthy, right, and times become easier, this unfortunately becomes a mindset that can get drilled into people and oftentimes parents are responsible for raising their children incorrectly because maybe you were brought up without having very much and you had to work real hard and you look at your children and say, well, I don't want them to have to suffer. I don't want them to have to go through the things that I went through, so I'm going to provide a need to work hard and go through tough times. No one wants to see people suffer. I'm not saying like you enjoy watching children suffer or just make your children suffer. I'm not saying that. But they need to learn how to go without. They need to learn what no means. They need to learn that they will not just get everything handed to them. You need to be able to teach them the difference in this world and that people will not just be handing it out. There are no handouts. There should be no handouts. Nothing's free. There may be handouts. The government does handouts but that's not free. We all pay for that. People have this concept and a lot of it's just ignorance of people thinking the government should be giving it to the government. It's taken from other people. Now look, I have no problem with charity. I think charity is great. I think giving and helping people who are less fortunate is a wonderful thing. Giving alms to people. That's a godly thing to do to be able to help people who are down and out that need some help. Amen. But you know what? That ought to be up to the government. You can talk to them. You can find out are they just going to take this money and go use it on drugs? Are they just going to take this money and go get drunk? Are they going to take this money and just go fornicate, commit adultery, sleep around, do drugs, drink alcohol, get drunk, sit on your lazy rear end and I'm going to support that? Absolutely not. Not going to happen. Oh, but we have to put these rules in place. Yeah, and then you keep building government to watch and bureaucracy to cover all this stuff and make sure. Tell me the program that hasn't ever had severe bleeding in the sense of not being able to manage where the funds are going properly and special interest not just getting all that money. But look, I don't want to get too political right now. I want to get to work. And if you follow these principles that we're going to go through here, it will help you personally. And you say, well, pass the versions. I don't have a job. I don't go to work. Maybe I'm a homemaker, right? I'm a wife. I stay home. I'm not going out. You have a job. You have a job. You have your wages. And if you're a homemaker, you say, well, I'm not making money. Be content with your budget. Be content with that amount of money that your husband's bringing home. If you have to go shopping or whatever it is, whatever the situation is in your family, be content with that. Be content with the amount of money you have. Be content with what you have to do. They murmur. And in the Bible, what happened when people complained? God killed them. It does sound funny, but it's real. That really happened. That made God really angry. And when wives complain, you don't make enough money, that makes husbands angry. And then when employees start complaining, I'm not making money. That makes bosses angry. And it's not going to help your situation. Complaining never helps. It's going to turn people against you. It's all it's going to do. You say, but it's not fair. I deserve more. I should have more. That all may be true. But complaining won't help you. And being discontent won't help you because here's the thing. God's promise to give cometh from above from the Father of Lights with whom is no variableness, right? We know that God provides for us and God has promised to provide for us. So wherever we are individually, don't go looking at what other people have. Don't be so concerned about this person. Brother so-and-so's got all this money. Doesn't matter. You have no idea. No clue. So you know what? Leave that alone. All you have to worry about is yourself. I'm going to do what I'm supposed to do. And I'm not going to complain about where I'm at because God allowed me to get to where I'm at. Now that also doesn't mean you can't look for another job. Right? And you can make an agreement with someone about how much money you're going to make when you accept a job. If you make an agreement with someone, yes, I agree to make this much money and I'm going to do this work for you, why are you going to complain when you feel like I'm going to get enough money? You made the agreement. Don't agree then. Don't say I'm willing to work for those wages if you're just not willing to work. And that doesn't happen the way they were promised to you. I told them find somewhere else to work. And especially these days, okay, right now in our time, you can find work anywhere. There are everybody's hiring. There is a, you know, the labor shortage. Yeah, there's definitely a labor shortage. And it's not just because there's not bodies there. There is a labor shortage. And these days, it's hard to even get people to have their bodies be there, let alone actually laboring. So this is a big deal. This is why I'm covering this and, you know, hopefully you don't fit in this category, but you know what, this is why we're going to cover this. We're going to look at what the scripture has to say. Turn to Colossians chapter 3 and we're going to see, well, how can you be content? First of all, be content with where you're at. First of all, just be content. Be a contented worker. That alone will do you well. And you know what, this used to be common knowledge back in my day, but this is, you know, there's some advantages. I'm always looking to be able to see if I could become, like, full-time just doing pastoring work, but I also enjoy my secular job because I still get to see a lot of other things that are happening in the world. And it allowed me to preach on some of this stuff, right, because I could see what's actually happening. I'm not just in a bubble of kind of, you know, just being here. But it used to be common knowledge, you know, you don't talk about how much you make either. That's a private thing. I mean, it was just like, you just knew that. I don't know where you learned that. I don't know where I learned it, but it just, everybody knew that. You don't talk about those things. And if you're content with your place and where you're at, you don't need to know what anyone else makes anyways. So don't ask. Because odds are, if you find out, you won't be happy, even if you don't. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. Worry about yourself. Colossians chapter 3. So much here. Verse number 22. The Bible says, servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh. Now, servants, it's not necessarily the same thing as slaves, okay? I know some modern translations say that, but if you are employed by someone else, you are a servant, okay? Because they would end up being your master. We call it boss, but it's the same thing he's talking about here. So what the Bible says, servants, don't freak out about that, but let's keep reading. Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye service as men-pleasers, but in singleness of the Lord and not unto men, knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance, for ye serve the Lord Christ, but he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done, and there is no respect of persons. So that verse number 22, it's saying not with eye service. When you're working for your master, when you're working for your boss, you don't work with eye service. What does that mean? It means people who all of a sudden get real busy when the boss shows up, right? They're sitting around, standing around, shooting the breeze, you know, kind of whatever, sitting down, just taking this really extended break, then they hear the boss is pulling up or whatever as they're walking around, they're just like boom, boom, and they pick up the broom, start sweeping, just whatever it is they're supposed to be doing, that's eye service. That's a man pleaser. That's just someone who wants to, okay, when I'm being watched, then I'm going to do my work. Look, that only goes so far because the boss is going to end up knowing how much you've actually gotten done because if you're just sitting around all the day and only doing things when he's looking, you won't get a lot of things done. And normally when you have a job, whatever your job is, it's going to be noticeable. Don't be foolish into thinking that you could just get away with that forever. You won't. You won't. And maybe you could retain your job if you're doing just enough to not be fired, but you will never succeed. And oftentimes those are the same people that say, well, I have been working here for five years, you should give me more work because you don't deserve it. But if we could have this attitude of instead of only working when the boss is looking, if you're one of those workers that can work without being supervised, guess what? Your value goes up. Employers love to have people that can do their job without you having to moderate them all the time because then that allows them to do other work and then everyone could be more serious and whatever you do, do it heartily, not grudgingly, but heartily. Have a good attitude for your work. Don't have a bad attitude. Don't be bitter and resentful, man, I got to do this job. Do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men. You work as if you're working for Jesus Christ himself, that that is your boss. Now, you walk into work with that mindset and say, hey, I'm working for Jesus Christ, are you going to be showing up late if Jesus Christ were your boss, your savior, who suffered and bled and died for you on the cross, he's your boss, are you just going to be like, oh, hey man, what's up? Yeah, I overslept a little bit. Sorry. Yeah, you've been doing that all week. I mean, would you treat Jesus that way? No. What about the effort you put in? I mean, if you're working as if you're working for the Lord, your actions and your labor should change. And I'm telling you, this will bless you later. In the long run, you will succeed. Because here's the thing, and here's the bottom line, if you say, yeah, but every time I've ever put forth my best effort and I worked real hard, I've never gotten anything, I never got bonuses, but look at what the Bible says here. It says, knowing that of the Lord, you shall receive the reward of the inheritance for you serve the Lord Christ. God is going to take care of you. At the end of the day, God makes everything right. He will work through God's timing. And, you know, younger people, if you see somebody 20, 30 years older than you that has been successful in business, they weren't where they're at now at your age. Okay? You see someone like, oh, man, they make all this money or whatever, and they're making six figures. They were working hard as a younger person and not making that much. Right? And after time and you keep working and keep working and keep working, you know, eventually you'll be successful. It happens. And the bottom line at the end of the day, if you don't receive financial, because, you know, who cares about making tons of money anyways, that's not the point of it. But God sees the work that you do. And God will bless you one way or another. It doesn't have to be all financial riches. In fact, that's not always even a blessing. Honestly, it's not. It could be distractions. You know, the Bible talks about the cares of this world and the riches of this world end up working for Christ. And I may not want to have all that, but here's the thing. We ought to be good examples. We ought to be working hard diligently as if we're working for Christ regardless of the money that you end up bringing home. That's what's right. That's what we should be doing. Turn, if you would, to Genesis Chapter 47 because, you know what, opportunity goes to those who are working hard. When you work, when you establish yourself as a hard worker, I've had this personally experience and I've seen other people, same thing. You know, you can work consistently, consistently. Not only should the people within your own organization see that you're a hard worker, people in other organizations will end up seeing you depending on your level of communications and stuff with other people. And they'll be taking notice of other places when people see the type of worker that you are. But you know what? People don't see that in the course of six months or three months or even a year. I mean, it could take years of you just working, working, working, working, working. Keep your head down. Work, work, work, work, work. And then people will be like, man, you know, so-and-so's really good. I mean, they're reliable. Love to have that person working for me. Some of the things aren't working out that great for you. Maybe your employer is not doing you well or whatever. Your doors will open up. You have opportunity. Opportunity, Genesis Chapter 47, verse number five, the Bible says, And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee. So this is when Joseph's family was born. And verse six says, The land of Egypt is before thee. So first of all, because Joseph was a good employee, because Joseph was faithful, because Joseph was a good servant, and we're going to get into Joseph in just a little bit and use him as an example of someone who really does a great job and is blessed of God. Make no mistake, everyone that we're going to look at is blessed of God, but they also say, God is going to bless people. It's because of their work. It's because of what they're doing with their time. He's not just blessing people who are just lazy and don't want to do anything. He's not. Now, we don't want to confuse and just saying, well, I did all this and everything is because me, me, me, right? Hey, God blesses you, but he's not blessing those that are just busy. And let's keep reading here. The Bible says in verse 6, the land of Egypt is before thee. In the best of the land, make thy father and brethren to dwell. So he's giving them the best of the land. In the land of Goshen, let them dwell. And if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle. So he's saying, and if you happen to know anyone, out of the land of activity, yeah, make them ruler over my stuff. That's where the opportunity comes from. You stay active. You stay busy. You work hard. Those opportunities will come your way. Stay in Genesis. Go over to Genesis chapter 30. I'm going to read a couple passages for you. Being faithful in every job that you do, even the seemingly unrighteous mammon. For you, verse number 10, the Bible reads, and this was Jesus teaching, okay? Obviously scripture, scripture, but Jesus himself is teaching this lesson in Luke 16. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much. And he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, mammon just the money, you commit to your trust the true riches. And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? Basically, he's saying the way that you work and your faithfulness in the smallest of things and other people's stuff is going to show how you're going to be later on. What makes you think you're going to be any different if all of a sudden now you have a, oh, you have more importance and you have a better job. No, you're going to keep the pattern and just keep looking for the next thing and think that you deserve it. And Jesus said, if you're faithful in that which is least you're going to be faithful in much. Hey, whatever the smallest thing is, if you could be reliable dependable, yes, I know that Brother Pete will get this done. It doesn't matter what the job is done, that's where you want to be. You want to be that faithful person. Faithful means you're reliable, dependable, that the boss can trust you to get a job done. And he's saying, if you're not even faithful with the unrighteous mammon, you know, if you're just wasteful with the money and just don't care and just, he says, who's going to give you the true riches? So you can't even manage the whole thing. And if you can't be faithful in a small task, why would I give you a bigger task to do? Right? We need to be, no matter what your job is, do it well, do it as if Christ is your boss. Have that faithfulness so that you can just be the person who's relied on to do whatever needs to be done. You follow these, I'm telling you, you're going to be successful. I have one more example for you in Joshua, and we're going to get to Genesis. You're in Genesis 30, stay there because we're going to see multiple examples of this. But another key to being successful is to live righteously. Do what's right because you want God to be with you. You want God on your side. And this goes for all of life in general anyways. If God is with you, who could be against you, if God before us, right, who could be against us, we want God with us. And this is mentioned multiple times in scripture as well. Joshua chapter 1, and you're in Genesis 30, just hang tight. Verse number 7 of the Bible says, Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee, turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, which Moses gave you. Do what I told you to do. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein, for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. So you want to have good success, you want to be prosperous, meditate in the law of God in doing what's right. And then in verse 9 it says, Have not I commanded thee, be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Hey, follow God's law, be righteous, do what's right, God will be with you. God promises you'll have good success, you'll be prosperous. Genesis chapter 30, look at verse number 25, we're going to see an example here with Jacob. He says, I have sworn Joseph that Jacob said unto Laban, send me away that I may go unto mine own place and to my country. Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served thee and let me go, for thou knowest my service which I have done thee. And Laban said unto him, I pray thee if I have found favor in thine eyes, tarry, for I have learned by experience that the Lord hath blessed me for thy sake. So what's going on here? Jacob is asking Laban to leave. He's worked for Laban now for a long time, seven years for Rachel, seven years for Leah, and I think like another six years just for his own stuff, right? So like 20 years he's been working for Laban. And now he's like, look, I'm ready to kind of go off on my own now, I've served you quite a bit. And Laban's asking him to stay. So he says, Terry, it means no, I started working here and I know what I have now. And I've been blessed because of you, because God blessed you. Because Jacob was doing what was right. You know, before Jacob came into the land is when he kind of called on the Lord and was getting right with God and saying, you know what, you'll be my God in Bethel before he ended up going into the land. And we could, again, assume that he's been following God because here he is 20 years later trying to lead and we see that God has blessed him. And even Laban can see that. Verse 28 says, and he said, appoint me thy wages and I will give it. Now he had to work real hard for 20 years, but now he's at the point where he could name his price. His value has grown so high he's proven his worth through himself working very hard and then God blessing him for his righteousness, for just doing what needed to be done and having a godly attitude towards his work and God blessed him for that. So now he's at the point where he's saying, well, just tell me what you want to make. It's yours. Verse 29. And he said unto him, thou knowest how I have served thee and how thy cattle was with me. For it was little which thou hatched before I came and it is now increased unto a multitude and the Lord hath blessed thee since my coming and now when shall I provide for mine own house also. He's basically saying like I need to like provide for my house. I've been working for you and you've been blessed and you've increased. It's time for me to go take care of my family now. I will pass through all thy flock today removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle and all brown cattle among the sheep and the spotted and speckled among the goats and of such shall be my hire. So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come. So he's saying here's what I'm going to do. We're just going to remove the speckled, the spotted, like these animals from your herd. These are going to be my hire. And we can assume that those were probably not the majority. Those were the smaller number of animals, maybe the less favored even among the cattle that Laban had. So he's saying just give me these. Because then he says so shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come when it shall come for my hire before thy face. So he says in the future now when they've already calved, my righteousness is going to show you my hire. I mean it's basically like people I look at as a gamble but it wasn't a gamble. He's saying he's trusting that God is going to do this. That God is just going to provide for him. And that's a whole other sermon. I don't want to get too deep into this story. And he says for everyone that is not speckled and spotted their own appearance and Laban said behold I would it might be according to thy word. So Laban agrees to this. And I'm not going to go through the rest of the story. You could read about that how ultimately God does end up blessing them and they mate during, he puts the read down and all this other stuff. There's this whole process but at the end of the day God is the one who blesses Jacob for what he did for his life. Because now he's starting to see the impact of wow I mean I'm going to lose all this stuff because he thinks it's all his. But he agreed to it. And this was a theme with Laban too. We're going to see this in a minute that Laban was not the most righteous employer. Well you know we're going to see is that Jacob was a righteous employee. He just stayed the course and did what was right which is why God was with him and blessed him because he maintained the right attitude. Verse number one in chapter 31 the Bible reads and he heard the words of Laban's sons saying Jacob had taken away all that was our fathers and of that which was our fathers had he gotten all this glory. So now they're starting to say well he's just getting all this stuff from our dad. No they made an agreement and this is what happened. And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban and behold it was not toward him as before. So now you know Laban's getting angry about all this stuff. Jacob did nothing wrong and the Lord said unto Jacob return unto the land of thy fathers and thy kindred and I will be with thee. So now God's commanded him hey it's time for you to move on. And Jacob of course is going to obey God's command. He promises to be with him which is great news because and you know notice often times when God commands people to do something there's always an obstacle there's always opposition. There's opposition here. Laban's angry. Laban's going to want him to still stay and figure out a way to try to take back from him or whatever all this stuff. There's a there's an opposition but you know what Jacob follows but the God of my father has been with me and you know that with all my power I have served your father. Righteous. All his power he's serving. He's serving Laban like he's working for the Lord Jesus Christ. He's playing that out in this story here and your father had deceived me and changed my wages 10 times. So he was not dealt with appropriately but you know what the end of the matter the end of the matter is that he ends up being blessed. God takes care of it in the end. Don't forget he worked for 20 years. OK. So you work for a year going oh man I'm not you know forget this and here's here's another bad attitude that I see. Well if you're going to pay me you know ten dollars an hour then I'm just going to work like it's ten dollars an hour. Seriously. It's the worst attitude to have. It is not going to help you at all. Look. And who wins that situation. Nobody. No one wins. You're never going to be happy. Work hard. Make the investment. Show that you're worth it. Prove it. You think you're this great man. Why would anyone believe you're worth that if you can't even do the simple jobs that pay ten dollars an hour and you have a bad attitude about that. Yeah. No way do I want to give you a more important job. No way. Verse seven here says and your father to see me and change my wages 10 times but God suffered thus the speckled shall be thy wages then all the cattle bear speckled and if he said thus the ring strike shall be thy higher then bear all the cattle ring strike he's basically saying it doesn't matter what the deal would have been because God would have just made it so that I would have gotten all this stuff because God blessed me. Thus God had taken away the cattle of your father and given them to me. God made it right in the end and behold the Rams which leaped upon the cattle were ring strike speckled and grizzled and he's kind of explained how he knew what to ask for when he made that deal. He gives he explains his vision that he had an angel of God spake unto me in a dream saying Jacob and I said here am I and he said lift up now that eyes and see all the Rams which leap upon the cattle ring strike speckled and grizzled for I have seen all that laben do with unto me now arise get thee out from this land and return unto the land of thy kindred. Jump down to verse number 38. This is where he's talking to Laben and he says this 20 years have I been with thee thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young and the Rams of thy flock have I not eaten that which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee I bear the loss of it of my hand didst thou require it whether stolen by day or stolen by night. And look this is how he was wronged as well he's just going further to explain the things that happened on the job where laben held Jacob responsible when when an animal died he paid for it Jacob paid for it it wasn't even his it all belonged on the laben but it's like that's your responsibility you have to pay for that you're going to incur that loss and he says if something was stolen he says by day or by night now normally what would be right in by night that's not your responsibility like you can't tell you just you can't see those things if that happens you know it's unfortunate but that wouldn't be have been Jacob's responsibility saying well it's day or night I was still responsible for that you still took it out of my check right thus I was in the day the drought consumed me and the frost by night and my sleep departed from my nice he's like I was out there in the field day and night in the elements I labored for you I suffered for you thus have I been 20 years in my house I served thee 14 years for thy two daughters and six years for thy cattle and now has changed my wages ten times except the God of my father the God of Abraham the fear of Isaac had been with me surely thou had sent me away now empties like I know you you would have sent me away empty if God didn't intervene and that may be the way it is at your job you have faith in God that we want God with us that's what I was explaining you know hey if God is with you then we don't have to worry about the the the way that people can mistreat you on the job you just keep working and that's what Jacob did he kept working anyways he suffered the loss and kept working he didn't just throw up his hands he didn't just get lazy he kept working and God blessed him for it one more example turn to Genesis chapter 39 and we'll see Joseph and if you think Jacob had it bad with his wages being changed ten times and being out in the field and you know having to suffer these losses that's nothing compared to what the Joseph went through because at least he was still you know being in the field and you know having to suffer these losses that's nothing compared to what the Joseph went through because he was still maintaining his job and was still receiving from the work of his hand and and didn't spend any time in prisons right it's kind of a big deal he had his freedom still he worked for for daughters he worked for cattle he was receiving wages he was a free man Joseph on the other hand was kidnapped and sold into slavery but you know we see from Joseph every situation he's in he's still like doing his best and he's doing his best and working hard and not losing hope and doing what he's just what he can do in his situation to serve the Lord and to be right and to be righteous even when when bad things happen that were not his fault at all when it would have been very easy to complain and be bitter and say oh man I mean I'm falsely accused everything else I shouldn't be here man you expect me to work now like no he he continues to work and he continues to be elevated because God lifts him up because of his faithfulness because of his hard work verse number one chapter 39 Bible says and Joseph was brought down to Egypt in Potiphar an officer of Pharaoh captain of the guard an Egyptian bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites which had brought him down thither and the Lord was with Joseph hmm sounds familiar right with Joseph and the Lord was with Jacob sounds familiar right wasn't the Lord with Jacob too didn't Joshua say hey you know God saved the Lord you know I'll be with you and make you prosperous and successful if you if you just can do righteously the Lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian he was a prosperous man as a slave because God was with him and why was God with him because he was doing what's right he's doing what he's supposed to be doing he's doing what's right to the best he can he's following Lord verse three and his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand people will pay attention to that wow everything this guy's doing it just like it's like he's got the Midas touch right it's turning into gold everything he's working on is being blessed everything he does is is coming into this you know multiplying it's you know he's being productive bosses pay attention to that and say well I'm going to give you more because I like this I like the pattern I like the growth let's keep you doing more and Joseph found grace in his sight verse four and he served him and he made him overseer over his house and all that he had he put into his hand and it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house and over all that he had that the Lord blessed the Egyptians house for Joseph's sake and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house and in the field and he left all that he had in Joseph's hand and he knew not ought he had saved the bread which he did eat and Joseph was a goodly person and well favored even being as a slave now after this of course he's falsely accused of doing something he didn't do and he gets thrown into prison for that but even you know he's stolen the slavery and now he's falsely accused going to prison he still does what's right he doesn't lose the righteousness of how he's supposed to behave and and and live right verse 20 jump down verse 20 because we're not going to read that whole story and Joseph's master was in the place where the king's prisoners were bound and he was there in the prison but the Lord was with Joseph so again we see God is still with Joseph and that's key and I can't overstate this enough the Lord being with these people is where this true blessing comes from but at the same time God is not just blessing everybody you know there's specific reasons and traits and characteristics that we can see that Jacob and Joseph both possessed as to why God was with them so much but the Lord is with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison and the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison and whatsoever they did whatever position he's in you're in the prison now okay well I'm going to be faithful in doing that you're a slave here well I'm going to be faithful in that you know whatever it is he's being faithful he's reliable he's dependable he's doing what's right he has integrity he's not going to steal well I'm a slave so I'm going to take everything I can because this isn't right I don't belong here so I'm just going to you know justify myself stealing or doing things with integrity he had respect to law the Lord and lived that way and don't ever get that attitude either think well the boss isn't paying me enough so you know I'm going to take everything I can get here to try to compensate for that it's wicked you will not be blessed for stealing anything on the job even stealing time yes you heard that right stealing time you say this goes back to the same attitude well if you're only going to pay me this much then that's what you're going to get no you're being paid a wage to do work not to sit on your rear end and you know it's not your job to decide how much you're going to work you're being paid to do a job for every hour you're clocked in you're supposed to be working and if you're not doing that you're stealing you're not keeping your end of the agreement obviously there's times where there's set breaks and or certain things certain things are being paid forward by the boss I'm not talking about that right but you have this bad attitude of not working and thinking it's because well I'm not getting paid enough not only is that not going to bless you it's going to it's going to work against you and it's wrong verse 23 says the keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand because the Lord was with him and that which he did the Lord made it to him Joseph was humble no job was too low for him and this is the last point that I just want to drive home God exalts the humble and he's going to abase or bring low bring down the proud the proud is going to say I'm too good for that job I'm not going to do that that's beneath me you're proud boss tells you to do a job you know what you do it that's right I have a pretty elevated position in my in my secular job pretty pretty high up there okay if the boss said go clean the bathrooms go scrub the toilets you know I'm going to say yes sir and I'm going to do it and you know what I'm going to do a good job at it too I'm not just going to go there I clean the toilets it's going to be okay I'm going to do it I'm going to do it I'm going to do it I'm going to do it I'm going to do it it's going to be clean I'll tell you what it's you're going to you're going to walk people walking in and go man that's a clean toilet hey that's how we should take our job right whatever the job is that's how Joseph did it why do you think he was elevated to those position because he was working like he was working for the Lord and Lord saw that he's like you know what I'm going to elevate that he was humble Jesus You want to exalt yourself you think you're all that and you and lift yourself up and you're too good for things You're gonna be brought down and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted Humility on the job will let you do whatever the task is you do that task like you're serving Jesus Christ You do righteously and God will be with you And that's how you'll succeed and don't you know, I'm not talking this isn't a prosperity gospel first of all Nothing is promised you God, you know, what's promised you food and clothing. You're a child of God you do what's right That's what you're promised But you want I mean honestly you follow these biblical principles these biblical examples. You will succeed you will achieve success But this success doesn't come in a year into this this comes over time It's an investment of just doing right day in day out Working hard you will achieve success It's powers ever pray an award prayer, excuse me Dear Lord, we love you. We thank you so much for the instruction that we received from the Bible Lord I pray that you please help us at least as Christians have a good testimony to have That people can see a difference in us in all areas of life dear Lord And one of those being the way that we work and the way that we approach our jobs dear Lord I know I spoke a lot today about Literally working for another person maybe an employment But this goes for all of us the way that we work we have we have jobs to do to when we serve you Lord and all of our service here and within the church and our service at work for another employer or our service at home Dear Lord, whatever our positions are in we could all value from Having this mindset of whatever we're gonna do. We're gonna do it heartily We're gonna serve even if the thing isn't directly Serving you like a secular job dear Lord but we're gonna work as if we're serving you all the time that help us to maintain this attitude help us to have a Good humble attitude that that has and that we could have integrity and just serve you in righteousness dear Lord We'd love you to Jesus name. We pray. Amen All right, we're gonna sing one last song before we're dismissed brother Peter, please come up and lead us Song number 402 Song 402 our best It's a newer song So let's do our best to sing this out and you know what the Bible commands us to sing a new song unto the Lord So I'm gonna help you with that today. Let's sing out song 402 Best Not for the praise of man, but for the Lord Every word for Jesus will be Ah On the last Oh We work for Jesus These may be small Our best star Oh, amen church great singing.
