look at some announcements real quickly if you do not have a bulletin just raise your hand and one of our ushers can get one for you if you need a bulletin just put your hand up and we'll get one for you the verse this week 1 Timothy 2.7 where unto I am also ordained a preacher and an apostle I speak the truth in Christ and lie not a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity and of course today is our church's 13 year anniversary and we appreciate you being here on a Sunday night I guess that means we're teenagers now as a church which I expect most of you to start rebelling soon but we'll see how that goes hopefully not if you look at the announcements there of course our weekly church service time Sunday morning service 10.30 am we had a wonderful service this morning we're glad you're back out tonight for the evening service and we invite you to be here on Wednesday evening for the Bible study and we've got a couple of several special services coming up and we'll talk about that here in a minute our soul winning times our main soul winning times on Saturday mornings at 10 am then we have additional soul winning times on Thursdays Fridays and Sundays at 2 pm and if you are a soul winner don't forget please make sure you add your salvations on the communication card and put those into the offering plate as they go by so that we can update the bulletin with those numbers and of course if you did not finish a map make sure you clearly mark what was not done and put it in the bin in the foyer so that we can get that recycled through and if you finish the map and you just discard it throw it away we count it as done but if you did not finish just mark what was done what was not done put it in the bin and we'll get it recycled and make sure it gets done and if you're running late don't forget to call us at the number there 916-868-9080 let us know your plan on being there but you're running late that way we can make sure we have a our team captains our soul winning captains that they have a partner for you and a map and all the things that you need if you're a first time guest tonight we're glad you're with us we have a gift we'd like to give you as you walk out of the church building tonight if you go out our main foyer or our secondary foyer you'll see a little table set up and on that table you'll see these little gift bags please grab one on your way out as a gift from us to you for being our guest this evening there are several resources in this bag that we'd like you to have the one I like to highlight is this documentary that our church made it's called Being Baptist very well made very interesting we think you'll like it we want to give this to you as a gift so please make sure you don't leave here tonight without grabbing one of these gift bags and if you are a guest we'd ask that you please take a moment and fill out the communication card which is inserted in your bulletin and we'd love to have a record of your attendance we actually would like to send you a little gift but we need your information to do that so please take a moment to fill the card out when we're done with the announcement we're going to sing a song when we're done singing we're going to receive the offering and as the offering plate goes by you can drop this card in the offering plate if you notice there in the announcements we of course are a family integrated church children and infants are always welcome in the service we do not separate children from their parents for any reason we do have mother baby rooms and daddy rooms available for your convenience all the rooms have comfortable seating and monitors you can watch the service and listen to it so make sure you use those if you're not sure where they're at you can look at the back of the bulletin and you'll see a layout of our church building if you need to be baptized let us know we'd love to baptize you you can let us know on the back of your communication card just check off that you'd like information about baptism and we'll follow up with you and talk to you about that if you look at the announcements and upcoming events of course this morning was our family and friend day celebration and we were celebrating 13 years of ministry we gave out the anniversary mugs and the suckers the choir sang and the orchestra everything was perfect the food was perfect and I do want to announce that we had 279 in church this morning so praise the lord for that 13 year anniversary we had almost close to 300 people here and of course this auditorium doesn't sit 300 people so we've had several families in overflow and things like that but those are all those are good numbers and this is kind of the last big day we're having here in this building because the next big day that we I mean we'll have Christmas that's a little bit of a bigger push but the next real big day we'll have will be Easter and that'll be in our new building so this was the last kind of big day here and I preached on the subject this morning of that all the earth may know and in my mind it was kind of I'm not sure that this backdrop is going to make it to the new building I'm not sure that it'll fit or go with the whole theme over there maybe it will I haven't decided but we're kind of it's kind of my way of officially retiring the backdrop so I don't know we'll have to hang it somewhere or put it somewhere and we'll keep the theme but I just don't know if this specific backdrop is going to fit over there or if we have a place for it but we had good attendance this morning and tonight we have 189 in church tonight so praise the lord for that and I'm glad that you're here that's a great Sunday evening attendance as well and of course we've got our evangelist Matthew Stuckey and his family with us this week and brother Stuckey is going to be preaching for us tonight and I'm glad you're here for that and you're going to be blessed to hear him preach he'll be preaching for us tonight and he'll be preaching for us on Wednesday night on September 13th at 7 pm so please make the effort to be here for both of course you're here tonight but be back on Wednesday night you're not going to want to miss it we don't know how long it'll be before he comes back but it'll be a little while so you're not going to want to miss his preaching on Wednesday night and then next Sunday Sunday September 17th we're having a special service on the morning and the evening because in the morning I'm going to be preaching an ordination service and then I'll be ordaining our evangelist Matthew Stuckey as a pastor so we'll be ordaining him as a pastor and right now the way it works is that he's been the evangelist in the Philippines and it's been under our authority my authority I've been the pastor I mean honestly for the last several years he's been running everything over there and I don't worry about it but now he'll officially be the pastor of those churches and we're excited about that so we'll be ordaining him and having his ordination service I'll be preaching in the morning and ordaining him that morning and then that night next Sunday night Pastor Aaron Thompson from Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Vancouver Washington he's going to be preaching as well and he'll be with us for the ordination and then after the evening service we're going to have a potluck in our fellowship hall so just make plans for that, make plans to attend, make plans to bring food and we'll have a good time with that. Homeschool group they have PE class this Thursday September 14th at 10am and of course Brother Stuckey is going to be the fill in PE coach for the boys this week so make sure you don't miss that and then there's other things there for you to look at please don't forget to turn your cell phones off or place them on silent during the service they're not a distraction to anybody if you look at the back of the bulletin birthdays and anniversaries for the month of September today is my sister Miss Michelle Cruz's birthday September 10th and then later this week we have Miss Kathy Maples has a birthday on September 15th, Miss Patricia Courtney has a birthday on September 15th and my daughter Hannah Jimenez has a birthday on September 16th Praise Report, Money Matters all those things are there for you to look at and like I said tonight we're going to have Evangelist Matthew Stuckey preaching for us and I mean obviously Brother Stuckey worked here for us and was here at our church and Miss Tan for many years and many of you know them obviously we consider them family a lot of you are probably newer and don't know them I'm just curious raise your hand if you've never met Brother Stuckey or Miss Tan before for most of you he's new and so I'm glad that you're here we of course miss them very much and having them here makes me realize even more how much we miss them so I'm actually not going to ordain him and we're just not going to let him go back but I'm going to send Brother Shaw and Brother Oliver to the Philippines I'd send Brother David but his wife might not like that but otherwise they won't care so I'm just kidding, I'm kidding so we're glad, we're obviously we miss Brother Stuckey and Miss Tan and we're glad they're here we're glad to enjoy him so I'm glad that you'll be here for his preaching. Okay I think that's it for all the announcements so let's go ahead and we're going to sing the chorus of the week and we'll sing Lord I need you as we prepare to receive the offering tonight and let's go ahead and sing this out on the first Sometimes my life seems gentle and blessings flood my way I turn my knees away from you and soon forget to pray but when the sky goes darker and the race turns to fear my anxious voice cries upward with words long to hear Lord I need you when the sea of life is calm oh Lord I live ever when the wind is blowing strong whether trials come or cease keep me always on my knees Lord I need you Lord I live ever That was good but I'm sure you can do better alright so let's sing it out on the second and don't yell but open your mouth it doesn't work if you try to sing with your mouth closed alright so open your mouth and let's sing it with passion on the second Lord help me to remember I'm weak but you are strong I cannot take apart from you Lord Lord you are my sound although I know you wander and most in all I do I'll be my stern so I will bang on you Lord I need you when the sea of life is calm oh Lord I need you when the wind is blowing so ever try and come or cease keep me always on my knees Lord I need you Lord I need you Good singing Father guys come up and help us with the offering at this time and let's go in and bow our heads and have a word of prayer Heavenly Father Lord we do love you we thank you for allowing us to gather together tonight Lord we pray that you bless the offering the gift and the giver and Lord I do pray for a special anointing on evangelist Stuckey tonight as he preaches for us Lord we pray that you fill in with your spirit Lord I pray that you would help us to have listening ears and Lord help us to be able to draw closer to you in Jesus name we pray Amen . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
