If anybody needs a bulletin, we have another one or some more back there on the table. You can just raise your hand and get another one. And, so we made it to the evening service, 5.30, and Brother Ben's going to be preaching for us again. So, praise the Lord for that. And, so we have our service times there on that second page. Our month to date salvation is at one. But how many did we have today? Brother Donnie, in your group? Two? Okay. None? Ladies group? None? Okay. None? Okay. Alright, well we had two and then me and Brother Ben, we had three. So, five. We had five today. So, that's good. So, that brings our month to date. Salvation's up to six. We'll just keep working away at it, you know. And, so, and keep expecting mothers in prayer. Mrs. Cheyenne over there, she needs to get some prayer for this Thursday. And, you know, because we're going to be having that baby here soon. So, and then Mrs. Whitney Reed, the Reeds, they were here this morning. Pray for them. And Mrs. Rochelle Hill, pray for them as well. Their baby on the way. Pastor Shelly, his wife, pray for her. And then our Bible memory chapter is on there. The verse eight we just switched to for the, you know, the beginning of this week. And, so, you know, let's be diligent about that. Also, the house rules, not letting the kids run around everywhere. You know, tripping people up or anything. Also, if you haven't filled out an address card yet for our records, go ahead. We have plenty more, more of them back there. So, if anybody needs one of those, just come with, get me and I can help you. But, you know, they had the Galveston Soul Winning Marathon. If you didn't hear this morning, they had 61 people saved there yesterday. So, that was a good marathon. And, you know, the Easter Soul Winning Memorial Weekend is coming up. So, that'll be great. And then, you know, May 20th through 22nd is going to be the Men's Retreat, or the Mighty Men's Conference. And that'll be exciting. So, you know, make sure you got your time put in at work for that, because I need to do that as well. But, you know, we need to make sure that we're ready to be able to go. So, anyways, that would be great if you can make it to that. Also, our list of upcoming preachers. Brother Ben, he's here today. And then Pastor Shelly's coming this Thursday, March 11th. And Pastor Shelly's going to be back March 21st. Pastor Shelly's going to be back again on April 22nd. And then Pastor Thompson on April 25th. So, that'll be good. Some back-to-back good church services there. So, look forward to those dates. There's a place on the back for notes. Also, if you can, you might want to write this down, but Brother Tanner texted me and told me that this next Sunday at 2.30, we're going to start doing a children's choir rehearsal. And if you want any of your kids to be in the children's choir, and I don't know what the age cutoff is, you know, Brother Tyler and I'm not sure. I'm just kidding. So, if, you know, we'll get with Brother Jeremy and see if we can work you in. No. You know, I don't know what the age cutoff is, you know, but, you know, we'll figure that out. We'll take everybody we can get, okay? We're not going to turn away. If you go to church here, you can make it in for the children's choir. So, unfortunately, we won't be there, you know, because we're going to be gone with the little baby here for a couple weeks. But, you know, I might be able to try to come up here. I should be able to come up here. Maybe I can bring the kids, get Abel and Anna in there for the rehearsal. But, anyways, so, yeah, remember that next Sunday, 2.30, we're going to start doing a children's choir rehearsal. So, I don't know. We'll see who's leading that. I don't know any more details, though. Brother Tanner might be leading the, you know, children's choir. So, anyway, we're going to go to our next hymn, hymn number 140. We have an anchor. Hymn 140. All right, hymn 140 is a great hymn about putting your trust in Jesus in hard times. Number 140. Will your anchor hold in the storms of life, when the clouds unfold, their wings obstruct, when the strong tides lift and the cables strain, will your anchor drift or firm remain? We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast in shore while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. It is safely moored, swill the storm withstand. Fort is well secured by the Savior's hand, though the tempests rage and the wild winds blow. Not an angry wave shall our bark or flow. We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast in shore while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. When our eyes behold through the gathering night, the city of gold, our harbor bright, we shall anchor fast by the heavenly shore, with the storms all past forevermore. We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast in shore while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. Amen. And as the men take up the offering, we're going to have the Bible reading 1 Kings 21. 1 Kings chapter number 21, the Bible reads, And it came to pass after these things that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. And Ahab spoke unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house, and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it. Or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. And Ahab said to Ahab, The Lord forbid it me that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee. And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him. For he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad that thou eatest no bread? And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money. Or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it. And he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry. I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people, and set two men, sons of Belial before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king, and then carry him out and stone him that he may die. And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles, who were the inhabitants, in his city did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them, they proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people. And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him. And the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones that he died. Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead. And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money, for Naboth is not alive, but dead. And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria. Behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whether he is gone down to possess it. And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Hast thou killed and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the Lord, In the place where dogs lick the blood of Naboth, shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine? And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee, because thou hast sold thyself toward evil in the sight of the Lord. Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will make thine house like that of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah. For the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin. And of Jezebel also spake the Lord, saying, The dog shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dog shall eat, and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat. But there was none like unto Ahab which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel. And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? Because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days, but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house. Let's pray. Our Heavenly Father, God, we thank you for our church. We thank you for your brother Ben-Naim coming out to preach to us. We ask that you would fill him with your Holy Spirit and leave him as a vessel to preach your word today. In Jesus' name, Amen. I just made that alarm go off. Alright, well, you're there in 1 Kings chapter 21, and let's look at what the Bible says in verse 1. It says, And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. So the city of Jezreel, what are we learning so far here in this first verse? It contained a vineyard, and this vineyard was owned by Naboth. And it was near the palace of Ahab. Now, who's Ahab? Ahab is the king of Israel. And he has a wife. Her name is Jezebel. We're going to learn all about Jezebel here in a few moments. And basically what the Bible is telling us in 1 Kings 21, it says after these things. What happened? Well, in the previous chapter, as I try and clip my mic on here, you guys are going to have to wait a second. There we go. It says after these things, what happened in the previous chapter? Look, there's no do-overs when you're up here. Alright. Anyway, it says after these things. In 1 Kings 20, Ahab had engaged in a battle with the king of Syria. His name is Ben-Hadad. And instead of slaying Ben-Hadad, God had appointed him to destruction, by the way. He had appointed Ben-Hadad to destruction. Instead of slaying him according to God's will, he makes a covenant with him. So he's soft. He makes a covenant with him. And God rebukes him for that. So after these things, it's talking about the events that I just described for you that Ahab is rebuked for making a covenant with Ben-Hadad. And after he gets rebuked by God, he goes back to his palace and he's upset. Let's look at verse 2. And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house. And I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it, or if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. So Ahab tries to engage in eminent domain. What is that? It's when the government attempts to pay you to take your private property away from you. And that's what Ahab tries here with Naboth. The question is, well, does Naboth accept this offer? Look at verse 3. And Naboth said to Ahab, The Lord forbid it me that I should give the inheritance of my father's unto thee. And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased, because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him. For he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my father's. And he laid him down upon his bed and turned away his face and would eat no bread. So what exactly are we talking about? First of all, a vineyard is in view here. And a vineyard is essentially, it's a plantation of vines or grapes. And it produces grapes. Ahab, he's offering in exchange for this land a better vineyard. He's offering money. He's offering wealth. He's trying to purchase this from Naboth. Naboth refuses. He says, I'm not going to give you something that is my inheritance. He reveals that the vineyard is the inheritance of his father's. And Ahab, in response to what Naboth says to him, melts like a snowflake. You know, he's upset. He won't eat. He lies in his bed. And I guess he was triggered by this. And goes to his bed and he's upset and he's depressed about it. He doesn't like the response that he got. Well, his wife finds out. And the wife says, I'll get it for you. Here's a spoiler alert. She steals it. So the title of my sermon tonight is The Theft of Naboth's Vineyard. The Theft of Naboth's Vineyard. We see this story in 1 Kings chapter 21. I think there are five lessons we can derive from The Theft of Naboth's Vineyard. Lesson number one, no means no. No means no. We have to learn how to take no for an answer. And Jezebel evidently, Ahab's wife, couldn't take no for an answer. And instead of just accepting the fact that Naboth didn't want to sell his vineyard, that he didn't want to give up his inheritance, he didn't want to give up his vineyard, she steals it from him. She doesn't take no for an answer. What we have to understand in our Christian life is no means no. No means no. Take no for an answer. Don't be like Ahab who falls into depression and acts like a drama queen over it. Prideful people are the ones who are accustomed to always getting what they want every time. You look at the celebrities of our world today. They get everything they want. And the second someone tells them no, that's when their life spirals out of control. They can't handle it. You see this with spoiled children. When a spoiled child wants something and the parent says no, not going to happen, they end up throwing a fit. Ahab throws a fit, in a sense. Jezebel, his wife, didn't take no for an answer. And by extension, Ahab didn't either because he didn't prevent her from stealing this vineyard. Look at verse number 5. 1 Kings 21, verse 5. The Bible tells us there, But Jezebel his wife came to him and said unto him, Why is this thy spirit so sad that thou eatest no bread? So she's asking, What are you upset about? How come you're not eating? Verse 26, And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite. And he said unto him, and said unto him rather, Give me thy vineyard for money, or else if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it. And he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. Hey, you know, I tried to do eminent domain here, and he said no. And now he's whining about it. Now I'm sad. I'm not going to eat bread as a result. Verse 7, And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry. I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. Again, Jezebel, this is Ahab's wife. Who is she? She's the daughter of Ethbale, and she's wicked. She is what we can call a feminist. All right? You want to talk about feminism in the Bible? Well, Jezebel, I think, is the personification of that. She is a feminist. She ends up usurping her husband here, and we'll read about that here in moments. She makes Elijah her enemy, because Elijah, like I referenced in the morning sermon, had slayed the prophets of Baal. And she also eventually dies, by the way, at the behest of Jehu, the prophet of God. She dies courtesy of Eunuch, who tossed her down, and she splats on the ground. It's not a very pleasant way to go. Another way we could look at Jezebel, if you're looking for a modern application, you say, well, who could we look at today that would be reminiscent or that could be liken unto Jezebel? Not only is she a feminist, she would be sort of like Kamala Harris. You say, who's Kamala Harris? Well, you probably should know. It's the vice president, currently, of the United States of America, the Biden administration, which is not legitimate, because they stole the election. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together could figure that out. So modern day application of Jezebel is Kamala Harris, the VP. And Kamala Harris, by the way, had an affair at age 29, just so you know, with 60-year-old Willie Brown, in exchange for political advancement. That's Kamala Harris. You know what that makes her? A whore. So don't get mad at me when I call her a whore, because that's reality, and I'm not going to deny reality just because it hurts your feelings. W-H-O-R-E, whore. She's a whore, and she is a Jezebel. She's the personification of Jezebel. We also see in the New Testament that Jesus Christ himself, he actually uses, in the book of Revelation, he uses that word Jezebel as a pejorative. He uses that as a pejorative for a female teacher who had been engaging in filthiness and wickedness. Jezebel does not respect that no means no. Head over to Deuteronomy chapter 1, if you would, Deuteronomy chapter 21. She steps in, she says, I'll take the vineyard for you. I'll go ahead on your behalf and grab that vineyard away from Naboth and steal it away from Naboth. What I want to show you here is the inverse of a Jezebel, first of all because it's a man, and second of all because this is an individual who actually can take no for an answer. This is someone who can take no for an answer, and his name is Moses. His name is Moses. In Deuteronomy 1, look at verse 37 where the Bible read, Also the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither, but Joshua the son of Nun which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither, encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. With respect to the nation of Israel, Moses was told in Deuteronomy, here we see him recapping it in Deuteronomy 1, Moses was told, you are not going to receive this inheritance, and the reason why is because in the wilderness, Moses smote the rock twice. Now that pictures the fact that Moses, the rock would be Jesus Christ. Moses smote the rock twice. Well, here's the problem with that. Jesus only had to die one time. It ruined the picture of Christ that God was trying to articulate to Moses in the wilderness, and so that's why he was so angry with him. And Moses was told that he couldn't inherit the promised land. Another picture we see here is that Moses typifies the law. Now can the law get us into heaven? No. And so in that way, God's trying to send that message as well by not allowing Moses to receive the inheritance because he pictures the law, and the law can't get us to the promised land. God was angry with him because he smote the rock twice. In both cases, we're dealing with land. The thing is, Ahab's household couldn't take no for an answer. Moses could. He didn't try to inherit what God said he couldn't. He instead ordained Joshua to do so. He understood that's what was God's decree, and he was accepting of it. He accepted. He took no for an answer. We need to learn to do that ourselves in our lives. Let's take no for an answer. Head over to 1 Chronicles chapter 22 so I can show you another example of this in 1 Chronicles chapter 22. Let's look at another man who actually accepted that no means no. No means no. When it comes out of the mouth of God, there is no other alternative. Now, you can pray and perhaps ask for a different direction if you'd like, but ultimately, if that's what God's will is, if he says no, we have no choice but to acquiesce. 1 Chronicles 22 says in verse 6, then he called for Solomon his son and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel. David communicates to his son that he, in fact, is going to be the one that builds the temple of God. Look at verse 7. And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house under the name of the Lord my God. But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly and hast made great wars. I lost my place. Hold on a minute. And hast made great wars. Thou shalt not build a house under my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about. For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days. He shall build a house for my name, and he shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. Now, my son, the Lord be with thee and prosper that one. Build the house of the Lord thy God as he has said of thee. So David's explaining, you know what? I wanted to build God's temple. I wanted to build the house of God, but the Lord told me that because of the fact that I've shed so much blood that I wasn't qualified to do that. I wasn't qualified for that endeavor, but rather it was Solomon who was qualified. And so as a result, Solomon was going to be the one who builds the temple of God, not David. In a sense, David wanted to do something, but he was told no, and he took no for an answer. He understood that no means no, and he deputized Solomon, and he prayed for Solomon, and he exhorted Solomon to do this, to build the house of God. He didn't let his ego get in the way. He didn't let self-preservation get in the way. He realized that God's will was for Solomon to build the temple, not himself, and he accepted that. And we see in 1 Chronicles 22 that he, in fact, exhorts Solomon to do the job. Well, here's my question for you. If you had it in your heart, just like David had it in his heart to build the temple of God, if you have it in your heart, men, to one day be a pastor and the Word of God says that you're disqualified, my question for you is are you willing to take no for an answer? Do you understand that no means no? If you want to be a pastor one day, you want to strive for that office, but the Bible says you're disqualified because you've been married twice or you don't meet, and it's impossible for you to meet certain qualifications. Are you willing to take no for an answer? Do you understand that no means no? Do you understand that today? If you've been divorced and you're thinking to yourself, you know what, I really want to get married, but you see that the Bible says that you shouldn't be doing that, that the Bible says that getting remarried would be akin to committing adultery. Are you willing to take no for an answer today? Are you willing to understand that no means no? If you're dating a girl, or if a girl is dating a guy, and you find yourself in a situation where you have an opportunity perhaps to live together, and we all know what will lead next, and men, don't deny this, you live with a woman, you're going to be committing fornication. And if you try and tell me otherwise, then you either don't like her or you're a faggot. So those are the only two options. Look, if you understand what the Bible says about fornication, that we should wait until marriage, and you have an opportunity to live together, you find an apartment, it would be perfect, the rent is exactly what you're looking for, it's in a great location, but you're not married yet, are you willing to take no for an answer? Because the Bible says no. Are you willing to take no for an answer? And instead, get married first, and then go ahead and move in. If God emphatically says no, are you willing to take that as an answer? How about not necessarily if God is the one saying no, but what if it's your fellow brother or sister in Christ? What if it's as simple as you invite someone over to your house and they're like, no, I'm good. Are you willing to take that for an answer? Are you going to try and force them to be friends with you when they don't necessarily want to be? You know, we have to understand in our lives that no means no. Children, what you have to understand in your lives today is that when mom and dad says no, it means no. When mom and dad says no ice cream, when they say no ice cream before dinner, it means no. It means no ice cream before dinner. It means you listen to your parents. The Bible says, honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, in Exodus chapter 20, honor mom, honor dad. When they say no, it means no. And there's no way around it. And when God says no, we ought to accept no for an answer as well. Go back to 1 Kings 21. We know Jezebel couldn't take no for an answer. By extension, Ahab couldn't either because he did nothing to prevent his wife from stealing this vineyard. And that's the first lesson I think we can derive from this story. But what's the second lesson? I have five of them today if you're keeping score at home and wondering when we're going to get out of here. I have five. So when I get to the fifth point, you'll know it's the last one. Lesson number two is this, be content with such things as you have. Be content with such things as you have. That's a direct quote from the word of God. 1 Kings 21 says in verse five, I had you go back there. It says in verse five, But Jezebel his wife came to him and said unto him, Why is this thy spirit so sad that thou eatest no bread? And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money, or else if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it. And he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. Ahab is perturbed, he's unsettled, he's discontented. Why? Because he couldn't procure Naboth's vineyard. Because of the fact that Naboth said no, I'm not going to sell it to you. And so as a result, Ahab is upset. And the reason why he's upset about this is because he doesn't have a gracious attitude. If he had a gracious attitude about what God had given him, then it wouldn't have bothered him that he couldn't obtain Naboth's vineyard. It wouldn't have bothered him. He wouldn't have been so upset as a result of this scenario, but instead he's depressed, he throws a temper tantrum over it. It's because he's not gracious. It's because he's not content. He's not thankful for the riches that he already has. And if you look at verse one of this chapter, I think we get a sense of just how much wealth Ahab had. Look at verse one of this chapter, verse one of 1 Kings 21. Notice it says, And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab. The palace of Ahab, king of Samaria. I don't live in a palace. I don't know how many people here do. And if you do, great. God's blessed you with one. Doesn't make you a bad person. Plenty of great men and women of God have had riches. Great men of God have had riches. Boaz being one of them, Abraham being one of them, Job being one of them. So I'm not against you if you have riches. But here's my point. Ahab had a palace. That means he probably had a pretty decent bank account. That means he probably had some wealth. In fact, we know that he had some wealth. And yet, despite the fact that he had a palace, that he lived in a palace, he just had to have that vineyard because it was within a close proximity to his palace. He couldn't be content with what he had. He couldn't be content with his palace. He just had to have that vineyard. He wasn't gracious. He wasn't thankful. What he had just wasn't enough for him. Head over to Hebrews 13, if you would. Hebrews chapter 13. Ahab was discontent. Ahab was perturbed. He was upset. He was depressed. He was dismayed. Because he wanted this vineyard, I bet every day he woke up, and this is conjecture on my part, but every day he woke up and probably had a visual of that vineyard and said, Man, I wish I could have that thing. Even though he woke up in a palace. Why not be thankful for the wealth you do have? Why not be thankful for what you do have? And I think the fact that Ahab had a visual of that vineyard every single day probably exacerbated his covetousness. And that's what it was. It was covetousness. Hebrews 13 tells us, let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as he had, for he had said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. Ahab should have been content with what he had. And you know what? You should too. You should be content with what you have as well. You may not live in an ivory house today. You may be renting an apartment, a modest apartment. You might not have the fanciest vehicle in the world, but what you do have is salvation. What you do have is a job. If you do have a job, you're working it right now to earn a paycheck to put food on the table for your family. I talked about that in the morning. You have the necessities in life. A lot of people out there don't have those things. The less fortunate would love to live in your run-down apartment if it is run-down. Even the ghettos that we go to today are like Beverly Hills compared to Iraq, compared to Afghanistan. You know, I've been to the Middle East. I can tell you this is true. Compared to North Korea, run by Kim Jong-un, the dictator who thinks he's God. You think those people have the apartment that you're living in today? You think they have food on demand? I mean, drive down the street here. You can go get a burger from some fast food joint for a dollar. Food is everywhere. Obviously, it's not very healthy for you, but you know my point, right? It's easy to procure a meal in America. We have everything we want. There are homeless people out there who are like extremely overweight, and they're poor. Our poor people, look, I'm just going to say it, our poor people are fat in America, all right? And yet in other countries, they're starving to death. Be content with what you have. Be thankful that you live in the United States of America. Yes, it's Babylon. I understand that. Yes, we preach against the wickedness of America every day, but I'm still thankful that I live here. I'm still thankful that I live in Texas, in fact. Okay, Oklahoma's good, too. I'm used to preaching in Texas, so excuse me there, but yeah, I am thankful I live in Texas, but you know what? I think you guys ought to be thankful that you live in Oklahoma City and in Oklahoma, because Oklahoma is not California, all right? Oklahoma's not exactly a liberal haven, so it's a good second place. Texas is first place. We can say Oklahoma is second, but you know the Bible, of course, Jesus said that the last shall be first, so you have that. But anyway, let's be thankful for where we live. Let's be content with the things that we have rather than upset about the things that we don't have. Let's be content with the things that we have rather than upset about the things that we don't have, like Ahab was. Ahab's covetousness, his discontent. I believe it was an impetus for him to allow his wife to then steal Naboth's vineyard. He sat back and did nothing while his wife engaged in that wickedness. And here's a caveat. Obviously, there's nothing wrong with wanting to upgrade things in your life or potentially trying to earn more money, earn a promotion or, you know, live in a bigger house or whatever. I don't think there's anything wrong with having goals for your life with respect to those carnal things, but at the end of the day, if that's what your life revolves around, if you just can't live with yourself unless you obtain materialistic items, then something's wrong. And that's what we see in this story. Head back over to 1 Kings 21, if you would, 1 Kings chapter 21, and we'll get into the third lesson here, the third lesson that I have. You know, you want to talk about being content. How about being content for your church? How about you be content about the fact that you have a church that you can congregate in where everybody's like-minded? You don't have to worry about pissing off the pastor because you believe in the poster of pre-wrath rapture or that you stand against Zionism. You all believe essentially the same doctrines. Obviously, if you put any two people in a room together, they'll probably find something that they disagree about. But in general, we're in agreement. The Bible says, can two walk together except they be agreed? This is a church in which you have like-minded believers coming to congregate three times a week and going out soul winning, and we're all like-minded. We all have the same interests. We all love the Lord. We all love the Bible. And you have a place in which you can do that. You know, I've heard from so many people who don't have a good church near their area that would kill for a place like this. There's places in our country, in the United States of America today where there's practically no good church in their area. They have to drive hours and hours and hours to find a semi-decent old IFB church where they're the only one who cares about evangelism, where no one believes like them on a large swath of the doctrines that we know and love in the word of God. There are people out there who have it a lot worse. And obviously, you can get into a line of thinking that says, well, pastor isn't always here, and I'm not so sure about this or whatever. But let me tell you something right now. The preaching that you get behind this pulpit is very good from the laymen here at this church. They're offering you more Bible than some of these dead as a doornail Baptist churches offer their congregation in an entire year. You're learning doctrine, and it's spirit-filled men who love the Bible. And so we ought to be thankful for our churches today. We ought to be thankful for steadfast Oklahoma City. We should be thankful for the fact that we have a place where we can all come together and serve the Lord, and we're in agreement. We're in agreement, and we all love the Lord, and we all believe essentially the same things. Be thankful for that. Don't nitpick your church. Don't nitpick your pastor. Don't nitpick Brother Tanner Fur. You know, I think he's doing a good job. Let's not nitpick Tanner Fur. Let's stand behind Brother Tanner Fur. Let's stand behind Pastor Jonathan Shelley, and let's be content with such things as we have. And let's not nitpick our church and our leadership. My third lesson is this. Don't be henpecked. Look at verse 5. But Jezebel, his wife, came to him and said unto him, Why is this thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread? I understand we read this earlier, but I just want to give you some context. Verse 6. And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money, or else if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it. And he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. And Jezebel, his wife, said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry. I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. Now notice this portion of scripture here. So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. Jezebel says, I'll go ahead and obtain the vineyard for you, and then she sends letters in her husband's name to do so. She sends letters in her husband's name. She writes letters on his behalf in his name to orchestrate the theft of Naboth's vineyard. Now think about this. What is Ahab doing allowing his wife to write letters on his behalf to engage in this wickedness? Why doesn't he take a stand and say, No, you can't do that. He instead allows his wife to steal the vineyard. He's influenced by Jezebel, and he sits on his hands, figuratively, as she schemes to obtain the vineyard for him. Writes letters in his name. Why? Because he's henpecked. Because she's the one running the show. She's Hillary Clinton. He's Bill Clinton. And anybody that knows anything about politics knows when Bill Clinton was the president, it really was Hillary. And look, Joe Biden supposedly is president, but he's president in name only. We all know who's really running the show. It's the whore, Kamala Harris. And you know who's really running the show? Above her is the globalist elites, the New World Order. Doesn't matter. Red, blue, right, left. If you're a Fox News Baptist, I know you're not liking this right now, but it doesn't matter what politician you support, they all prostitute themselves to the same donor class. They're all puppets. Joe Biden's a puppet, and Kamala is as well. But my point is this, that Ahab's not really in control here. It's Jezebel. And he's henpecked. He's weak. He's such a weak little sissy, effeminate, limp-wristed, fake man. Head over to 1 Timothy 2, if you would. 1 Timothy chapter 2. Some of you may know where I'm going with this. If you're a liberal, you might want to just leave now, I guess. I don't know. I hope you stay, though. If it offends you, then I think I'm doing my job. 1 Timothy 2 is where I had you turn. I'm going to read this from Ephesians 5. It says this, wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord. Interesting. So within the confines of marriage, it doesn't get any more clear than this. Within the confines of marriage, who's in charge? The man. The husband is in charge within the confines of marriage. Look, we're not Muslims here. I'm not saying put your wife in a hijab and force her to look down and not look you in the eye. That's what Muslims believe, that women can't even look men in the eye, and they enslave them. Not Muslims. I don't believe that. But you know what? The Bible does teach that men are the ones who ought to be leading their household. And men today are refusing to do this, and that's why so many of them are henpecked. In fact, that's the reason why our country is in such horrible shape. Because the men of the United States of America have gone soft. They're such effeminate little queer-based sissies, like Ahab. 1 Timothy 2. Actually, before I read this verse, I had a story for you. I was out soul winning. This was, I think, last year, maybe two years ago. I was out soul winning, and I knocked on this guy's door, and he seemed interested in the gospel. He seemed interested in the gospel, so I started going through the gospel with him, and I got to the portion of the gospel where I started explaining eternal security to this guy. And he was getting it. He was like, oh, that makes sense. Eternal life. You can't lose it. I see what you're saying. He's believing it. He's practically inches away from getting saved. And then his wife showed up. I guess the wife found out that he had been talking to somebody at the door, and so she walks up to him and says, who are you talking to? And then I interjected, well, my name's Ben. I'm with Steadfast Baptist Church. I'm just talking about the gospel here. You're more than welcome to listen if you'd like. And she goes, let me tell you something, all right? We don't believe one saved always saved in this house. It's like she overheard what I was saying. And she knew the doctrine was called one saved always saved. She literally said that to me verbatim. She goes, we don't believe one saved always saved in this house, all right? So you know what? Please go away. Walk away, because we don't believe that here. And then she told her husband, come on, let's go. And then she grabbed him and walked away and slammed the door. Now, this is a guy with no stones. This is a guy standing at his doorstep. He's about to get saved. And because his loud-mouthed Jezebel wife said, no, we don't believe one saved always saved in this house, you know what he should have said? I determine what we believe in this house. And you know what? I want to hear what this guy has to say, because what he's saying is derived from the word of God. But instead, he cowered away. He tucked his tail between his legs, and he cowered away, because his wife demanded him to do so, and he didn't get saved. And it's likely that he's going to die and go to hell, because he was henpecked, because he couldn't tell his wife no. Now, look, the Bible says husbands love your wives. We should be gracious unto our wives. We should love our wives. But you know what? We ought to also be leaders. Women are looking for leaders. You know, women, I'm sure if you could, you would say amen to that, right? Look, women want leaders today. Women want men who act like men today. And that guy didn't. And you know what? I hope he's listening to this sermon, and that he gets saved, and tells his wife, look, this is what our house believes, and you ought to get saved, too, or you're going to split hell wide open. 1 Timothy 2 says in verse 12, but I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Women don't teach, according to God's word, and in fact, they're not supposed to usurp authority over the man. They're not supposed to usurp authority over the man. That means that female pastors are not really pastors. Female pastors are just rebellious. Female pastors just don't care for the word of God. You can't even give me the stupid, oh, that's Old Testament excuse, because this is the New Testament right here. The Bible says that I suffer not a woman to teach. And with these female, these Jezebels, these female pastors who resemble Jezebel, in fact, the Bible calls a female pastor Jezebel, by the way, because she's teaching. I don't know if she was a pastor or not, but she was teaching. My point is this. They're Jezebels. My point is this. They're disobedient. And here's my question. Where are their husbands? Imagine being the husband of a pastor who's a woman. It's like, good night. What happened to you? How pathetic. Man. Imagine being Kamala Harris' husband. Yeah, my wife's the vice president. Good night. How pathetic. These henpecked men who sit on their hands while their wives run the show. It's disgusting today. Makes me want to throw up. Jezebel ran the show. Make no mistake about it. She was in charge and she organized a scheme. She organized a conspiracy to steal Nabok's Vineyard. She organized a conspiracy. Yes, conspiracy theories can be true. And we see plenty of them in the Bible. Here we have a conspiracy against Naboth. A conspiracy, a scheme against him. He was falsely accused and then he was killed. He was falsely accused as a pretext to take his life. Kind of reminds me of someone. Kind of reminds me of the Lord Jesus Christ. And that's why my fourth lesson for you is that Naboth pictures Jesus. Naboth pictures Jesus. Head back over to 1 Kings 21 and we can look at these pictures together. Naboth is a type of Christ, in my opinion, for a multiplicity of reasons. One of them being that he was falsely accused and then put to death. We know that the same happened to Christ, but look at 1 Kings 21 verse 8. 1 Kings 21 verse 8, the Bible says, So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people, and set two men, sons of Belial before them, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king, and then carry him out and stone him that he may die. Now who are the sons of Belial here? These would be what the Bible describes as reprobates. You say, what's a reprobate? A reprobate is an individual who hates and rejects God to the point that God rejects them. And what ends up happening to these people is they're now capable of committing sins that fall outside of regular sin nature. This explains why we have psychopaths in the world today. This explains why we have pedophiles, or why we have sodomites, why we have faggots. Now I don't know if these sons of Belial were faggots. It's very possible that they were. Of course, Judges 19 describe them as sons of Belial. So they could have been fags, but they're chosen for a specific purpose. They're chosen to be false witnesses. They're chosen to witness against Naboth. And the reason why these specifically were chosen is because the Bible says about reprobates in 2 Timothy chapter 3, it says, it lists their attributes. It says that they're without natural affection, truce breakers, and then it also says that they're false accusers. That reprobates in 1 Timothy 3, 3, it says that they're false accusers. So where can we learn about the attributes of a reprobate? Well, one of the places that you can do so is in 1 Timothy chapter 3. Of course, Romans chapter 1 outlines the attributes of a reprobate. And we see, according to 1 Timothy 3, that they're false accusers, and confident, fierce, and despisers of those that are good. So they were the perfect candidates for this scheme that Jezebel had concocted to take Naboth's vineyard. The instruction to the elders and to the nobles was, hey, these sons of Belial are going to witness against Naboth. And the elders of the city, in my estimation, you can look at them as sort of like the Romans. And it's the sons of Belial who I look at and I think of the Jews. And it was the Jews who delivered, of course, Jesus Christ to the Roman Empire. Jezebel wants what? She wants an accusation of blasphemy. That's what she's looking for. She's looking for an accusation of blasphemy that can then be used as a pretext to stone Naboth with stones and then procure his vineyard. This has Jesus Christ written all over it. Head over to John 10, if you would, John chapter 10, and we'll look at that. I'll quote from Matthew 26, which says, Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said, Nevertheless, I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy. What further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. So the sons of Belial were deputized to witness against Naboth. And we know also that sons of Belial reprobate false prophets. They witnessed against the Lord Jesus Christ. They hated the Lord Jesus Christ. And in fact, Jesus said in Matthew chapter 23, How can ye escape the damnation of hell? Jesus propagated the reprobate doctrine, and even he believed that certain people could not get saved. Now remember, what did we see? What was the pattern of 1 Kings 21? An accusation of blasphemy followed by stoning. Well, look at John chapter 10 in verse 30. John chapter 10 in verse 30. The Bible says, I and my father are one. This is Jesus talking, and he means one in essence, by the way. He's not saying he is the father. He is saying that him and the father are one in essence. Look at verse 31. Then the Jews took up stones against again to stone him. Jesus answered them. Many good works have I showed you from my father. For which of those works do you stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy. So what did we see in 1 Kings chapter 21? That Jezebel wanted the sons of Belial to accuse Naboth of blasphemy against God and the king, and then to have him stoned. Here in John chapter 10, the Jews, who I'm likening unto the sons of Belial in 1 Kings 21, say, We don't stone thee for a good work, but rather because of the fact that you have committed blasphemy, and because that thou, being a man, maketh thyself God. When Jesus appealed to his deity that he is God, the Jews, because of their myopic view of who God is, they viewed that as blasphemy, and it was a false accusation. From their perspective, it wasn't because they actually believed that Jesus was just a man, but it was a false accusation against Christ because, of course, we know the reality that he is God manifest in the flesh. Jezebel wanted Naboth to be falsely accused of blasphemy and then stoned, and we see that pattern there in John chapter 10. Look over at, I should say, Matthew 26, if you would, Matthew chapter 26. Now remember, as you turn to Matthew 26, keep this in mind. The elders did as Jezebel instructed them to do in her letter. Matthew chapter 26, I think we see how that story pictures what happened to Christ in Matthew 26. Start in verse 57. Matthew 26, verse 57, where the Bible read, And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace and went in and sat with the servants to see the end. Now pay attention to this verse. Now the chief priests and elders and all the councils sought false witness against Jesus to put him to death. We see that the elders did Jezebel's bidding in 1 Kings chapter number 21. And the elders in Jerusalem, we know that they sought to put Jesus Christ to death. So both Naboth and Jesus were falsely accused of blasphemy. We know that both Naboth and Jesus were, that they dealt with enemies witnessing against them. That they dealt with enemies witnessing against them. That's true for both Naboth and Jesus. Now head back over to 1 Kings 21 and let's look over at some other pictures of Christ here in this story in 1 Kings chapter 21. Both Naboth and Jesus were stoned as a result of a false accusation. But we also see that they were tried in front of the people. 1 Kings 21 says in verse 11, 1 Kings 21 verse 11, And the men of this city, even the elders and the nobles who were in the inhabitants of the city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them. And as it was written in the letters which he had sent unto them, they proclaimed a fast and set Naboth on high among the people. Just as Jesus was tried, he was tried in front of the people, Naboth was tried in front of the people as well. Look at verse 13 I should say, 1 Kings 21 verse 13, And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before them. And the men of Belial witnessed against them, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city and stoned him with stones that he died. Naboth dies outside of the city limits. That's another picture of Christ. Because the Bible tells us in Hebrews chapter 13, Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. He died in Golgotha. It was outside of the gates of Jerusalem. Jesus died without the gate and we know that Naboth, he died outside of the city. So we see another picture there. Look at verse 14, Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned and is dead. And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money, for Naboth is not alive but dead. And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it. Naboth is stoned, Naboth is killed. Jezebel's scheme, her conspiracy against him, is successful. It's successful and Ahab obtains the vineyard. Now recall this. Naboth pictures Jesus in the sense that he was murdered, but why was he murdered? One of the reasons, in fact the main reason in 1 Kings 21 that Naboth was murdered, is foreign inheritance. Well that's one of the reasons Jesus Christ himself was murdered. And if you would, head over to John chapter 11, John chapter 11. And as you do that, I'm going to quote a couple of verses from Matthew chapter 21. Now Matthew chapter 21, it's the parable of the householder, and it also describes a vineyard. As you're turning to John chapter 11, I'm going to read from you from Matthew 21. Now the servants in the parable of the householder, they picture the prophets. They're persecuted for, of course, promoting the truth. Matthew 21 says, And last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. And when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. Jesus is the son in that parable. And he was killed, why? So that the inheritance can be seized. The vineyard in that parable, I believe, is the kingdom of God. Well, Naboth can also be viewed as the son in the parable of the householder in Matthew chapter 21. And the vineyard, we know, was the inheritance of his father. We know that Ahab wanted that inheritance, and Jezebel killed Naboth for it. Well, the Jews, they also wanted an inheritance, and that's one of the reasons why they killed the Lord Jesus Christ. John chapter 11, where I had you turn, look at verse 47. Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? For this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him. And the Romans, pay attention to this, shall come and take away both our place and nation. That's their inheritance, that they wanted to retain their place, their nation. What were they concerned about? Land. What did Ahab want? Land, and Naboth was killed for it. What did the Jews want to retain? Land. In both cases, both parties were concerned about land, and it resulted in the death of someone who didn't deserve to die. And that's what we see here with respect to Naboth and his vineyard, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Naboth was killed to satisfy the greed of Ahab, just to assure us one of the reasons Jesus Christ was killed is to satisfy the greed of the Jews. They were afraid that the Romans would take their nation from them. Head over to 1 Kings chapter 21, and I'll go over my final lesson that we can learn from this story. 1 Kings chapter 21. So there are a lot of different pictures of Christ here in this story, and I think this is one of them. Naboth killed to satisfy Ahab's greed, and Jesus crucified, among other reasons, to satisfy the greed of the Jews who were worried that the Romans shall come and take away both our place and our nation. They both were concerned with that which is carnal. They were both concerned with land. Now here's my final lesson. Sin has consequences. Now that's pretty obvious, I understand that, but I think that's personified here in the story. Sin has consequences. That's my final lesson. We see that God sends Elijah to proclaim a message from God. Look at 1 Kings 21 verse 20. And Ahab said to Elijah, Has thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee, and because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord, behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel. Skip down to verse 23 for sake of time. And of Jezebel also spake the Lord, saying, The dog shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. Ahab ends up sort of humbling himself after this. But we see that God promises vengeance. God promises vengeance here for what happened to Naboth because sin has consequences. And if you think you can run away from the Lord Jesus Christ, you can run away from God, after you transgress his law, you're sorely mistaken. Sin has consequences, and it's going to catch up to you. And make no mistake about it, it caught up to Jezebel. It caught up to Ahab. We'll see what turned out to be her eventual downfall. Psalm 94, you don't have to turn there. It says, Lord, how long shall the wicked triumph? The question is asked, how long are these wicked transgressors of God's law going to triumph? It seems like the most detestable people on the planet have all the riches. They have all the fame. They have everything they could ever want in this life. And I think it's a legitimate question to ask. How long are they going to triumph for? How long are they going to procure all these riches and all this honor in this life before God finally comes down on them? It says, how long shall they utter and speak hard things and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? They brag about themselves. They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage. These wicked people hate God and they hate his people. They hate us. They hate Christians. And they're going to do everything in their power to stymie the work of the Lord from being done because they hate Christianity and they hate Christians and they hate you and they hate your family and they hate your children. That's the reality of the elites, the globalist elites, the New World Order establishment, whatever you want to call them. But it says in verse 23 of this chapter, And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off in their own wickedness. Yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off. That's what Psalm 94 says and I'm quoting for you. God eventually is going to cut them off. Now even if it doesn't happen in this life, it's going to happen when they experience hell, when they experience the lake of fire, when they experience the second death. That's when everything they've ever done in this life, all the bloodshed, all of the corruption, the crony capitalism, the theft, the murder, all of it, that's when they're going to be recompensed for it if it doesn't happen in this life. And we see that with respect to Ahab and Jezebel, they ravaged Israel with idolatry, with abominations. Jezebel even wanted Elijah to be killed because he stood up to and slayed, he took out the prophets of Baal and Jezebel wanted him dead. Jezebel hated the prophets of God. She hated God. She worshipped the devil and her and her husband spiritually destroyed Israel. They ravaged Israel. But you know what, they didn't get away with it. Go to 2 Kings 9 and let's see what happens to them. Just as sure as Ahab and Jezebel didn't get away with what they did to God's nation, the wicked today are not going to get away with what they're doing to the United States of America, with what they're doing to God's people. They're not going to get away with it. And again, even if they die of old age, even if it doesn't happen in this life, I can guarantee you that when they experience the fiery torments of hell, that's going to be a lot worse than anything that could possibly come to pass in this life. I can guarantee you that. So don't get discouraged. Yeah, George Soros is 165 years old and I wish he was dead 50 years ago, trust me. But he's going to hell. That's a lot worse than whatever comes to pass for him in this life. But with Ahab and Jezebel, specifically Jezebel, she had a really bad end. She actually did get recompensed for her evil in this life because sin has consequences. We know that King Joram of the house of Ahab, he was cast down where? In the field of Naboth. In the field of Naboth and so Naboth was avenged for what Jezebel had done to him. King Joram of the house of Ahab. The house of Ahab was cursed by God. Now Ahab humbled himself, but that doesn't mean that God's judgment didn't fall on the next generation. And sometimes sin has consequences that are generational. It's true. If a father is exceedingly sinful and exceedingly wicked, oftentimes the children are as well. It's sad. But I like meeting people who have broken that pattern. And although their family hates the Lord and doesn't want anything to do with the gospel, they themselves have chosen a different path. And they can take their family name in a new direction and say, you know what? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. And we will walk as children of light like we talked about in the morning. Wickedness begets wickedness. God will recompense evil. Don't be discouraged at the prosperity of the wicked. And listen, pay attention to this, okay? Don't be afraid of whatever presidential administration gets elected. It doesn't matter what filthy Democrat dog becomes president. It doesn't matter. Look, don't be afraid of Joe Biden. He's an old, senile, degenerate, reprobate pervert. Don't be afraid of him. If God be for us, who can be against us? God's going to take care of him. Don't be afraid of Joe Biden. Don't be afraid of the whore Kamala Harris. Don't be afraid of Nancy Pelosi. She looks like a witch anyway, and it looks like she's five seconds away from dying. She looks like she already is dead. I know she's twice dead, but she looks like she already is physically dead. I don't think zombies are real, but if they are, Nancy Pelosi. Don't be afraid of these people. Don't let them discourage you. Let them have the U.S. Senate. Let them have the presidency. So what? They don't have salvation. That's what matters. Don't let that discourage you that they're in power right now. Don't be afraid of them either. You know, the Bible says, against such there is no law. Go ahead, I dare them to try and make soul winning illegal. We're still going to do it. It doesn't matter. 2 Kings 9, look at verse 30. It says, And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her face and tired her head and looked out at a window. And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimrai Pius who slew his master? And he lifted up his face to the window and said, Who is on my side? Who? And they looked out to him, two or three eunuchs, and he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down, and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall and on the horses, and he trode her underfoot. This is, again, not a very fun way to go. Kind of a graphic death here. Verse 34, And when he was come in, he did eat and drink and said, Go, see now this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter. And they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands. Jezebel takes a fall, and her body essentially disintegrates on impact. There's nothing left other than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands. Sin has consequences. In this life, she chose to serve Satan. In this life, she chose to forsake the God of Israel, the God of the Bible. In this life, she chose idolatry and abominations and filthiness and degeneracy. She chose that. And she also chose to steal Naboth's vineyard on behalf of her henpecked husband, and this is what happened as a result. Sin has consequences. Jehu asks, Who is on my side? Who? The eunuchs, who have more stones than some Baptist preachers today, toss her down. Jezebel trodden underfoot. There's virtually nothing left of her body. There's virtually nothing left of her body. Folks, here's the reality. The God-hating Washington, D.C. establishment, they're eventually going to fall. Just as Jezebel fell at the behest of Jehu, who said, Who's on my side? Who? They tossed down the Washington, D.C. establishment, who hate God. The New World Order elites, who hate God. George Soros and Bill Gates and all these people. They're going to fall one day at the behest of Jesus Christ, because sin has consequences. And Jezebel fell to her death. Man, that's a violent way to go, isn't it? That's not how I would choose to go at all. I'd probably pick anything. There's probably a few things that are worse, but this is bad. This is really bad. Proverbs 21 says, It is joy to the just to do judgment, but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. Destruction awaits the workers of iniquity. Don't be discouraged by their prosperity. Destruction awaits the workers of iniquity. Don't ever be afraid of what they might do in power, because God's on our side, and that's all that matters. He wasn't on the side of Jezebel, and she fell to her death. God will deal with these people in due time, just like he dealt with Jezebel, and just like he dealt with the house of Ahab. So here are the five lessons to recap. Lesson number one, no means no. Lesson number two, be content with such things as you have. Lesson number three, don't be hand-pecked. That applies to the men, obviously. Lesson number four, Naboth pictures Jesus. And lesson number five, sin has consequences. These are the lessons we can derive from the story, and I appreciate you listening. Let's bow our heads for a word of prayer. Father God, I thank you so much for this chapter, and I pray also, Lord, that you would help us as we go through and read your word that we would look out for pictures of Christ, but also that you would help us to make application to our lives today so that we can be better Christians. And we understand that these things are written for our admonition, and I pray, Lord, that you would just help us to recognize that and continue to read our Bibles and look for these lessons ourselves in our own personal Bible reading so that we can serve you better. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. Our 170 for our last hymn. Number 170, Hallelujah, what a Savior.
