(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) All right, Psalm 139 verse 19. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God. Depart from me, therefore ye bloody men, Depart from me, therefore ye bloody men. Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against me? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? And they speak against thee wickedly, Nor they speak against thee wickedly. And thine enemies take thy name in vain, And thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? I hate them with perfect hatred, I hate them with perfect hatred, I count them mine enemies, I count them mine enemies. Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? Do not I hate them, O Lord, I hate thee? All right, if you can open your Bibles to Revelation 14. Revelation 14. Brother Ryan, is this microphone good? Yeah. All right, awesome. All right, Revelation 14, verse 1. And I looked, and lo, a lamb stood on the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred forty and four thousand, having his father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder. And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps, and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts and the elders. And no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with woman, for they are virgins. These are they which follow the lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile, for they are without fault before the throne of God. And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come, and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of water. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, the great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying, with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast in his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their turment ascended up forever and ever. And they have no rest, day nor night, who worship the beast in his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints. Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ. And I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me, Right, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth. Yeah, save the spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them. And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, thrust in thy sickle, and reaped. For the time is come for thee to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple, which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire, and cried with a loud cry to him that had a sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and the blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horses bridle by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. Brother Robert, if you can pray for the sermon. Amen. All right, is my mic working, brother? Okay, great. Well, thank you all for being here. It's great to be here again. It's been a couple years since I last visited here. And thank you, Pastor Thompson, for being so gracious and inviting me, and flying me out here and all the accommodations. Everything's been great. You guys have a really beautiful city here. I am sorry for bringing the Texas heat. I am very sorry about that. But, you know, without the humidity, it actually feels just fine to me. You know, the breeze is cool. The shade is cool. So, yesterday I went out on a hike, and I was walking around town, and everyone looked like they were dying. And I was like, this is great. This is fine. So, it's a lot worse in Portland today, I hear. It's like 115 or something like that. So, craziness. But it's very great to see everyone, faces that have been here for many years, and lots of new faces as well. So, keep up the fight, and keep being faithful to the local church. Now, today we are in Revelation chapter 14. And the title of my sermon is Hell on Earth. Hell on Earth. Have you ever been out soul winning, and you ask someone, you know, hey, God forbid if you were to die today, are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven? And have you ever had someone say, well, I'm in hell right now. We're in hell right now. Now, look, that is one of the most stupid things a person can say. Because nothing a person can experience on this earth can be even close to the terrors, and to the horrible, horrible nature of the real hell. The real, literal, physical hell in the center of the earth. But you hear this all the time. And honestly, when I hear someone say that, my heart does go out to them. Because the reason that they're saying something like that is because they have a really messed up life. Is that not why they're saying it? They're saying, hey, I have a really screwed up life. You know, my life kind of resembles hell, in a sense, to where I feel like I'm living a hell on earth. And let me make it very clear, again, no suffering that you can experience on this earth can be even close to as bad as hell. But there are things in our life that we can experience that share some of the same attributes of things that the people experience in hell. To where you can experience things in your life that are similar in nature to what people experience in hell. To where you could actually have hell on earth for yourself. You could be living, your life could be a living hell, in a sense. Now, I made it very clear, hell is a lot worse than anything on this earth. But I want to talk about some ways that we can make our lives a living hell. Some way that people make their own lives a living hell today. And the goal of the sermon is so that we don't make decisions in our lives that would make our life a living hell. That is not what we want for our lives. That is not what God wants for our life. So what is one of the attributes that people experience in hell? What's one of the negative things about hell? Well, number one, the turmoil of having no remedy for your actions. People in hell have no remedy for their actions. They can't take anything back. They can't fix any mistake they made. They can never get things right. They can never escape the past. They will forever, for all of eternity, have the turmoil of having no remedy for their actions. Go to Revelation 14, look at verse number 10. It says, And they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast in his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Now these verses, specifically in context, are talking about people that take the mark of the beast. But this is just as true for every person who has ever been in hell or whoever will be in hell. They have no rest day nor night. Their smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever. And every single person in hell will for eternity have the turmoil of having no remedy for the things that they've done. They'll never be able to fix anything. It's a horrible, horrible aspect of hell. Go to Revelation chapter number 20. Revelation chapter number 20. Look at verse 10. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. You say, hey, when is the torment going to stop for the people in hell, Brother Dylan? Never. Forever and ever. The beast, the false prophet, and all the unsafe people in Spokane, Washington that are going to go to hell. And all the unsafe people in all this world, their torment will never end. They will have no remedy for their actions forever. It's hell. That's a horrible, horrible aspect. Go to Luke chapter 16. Let's look at this again. Luke chapter number 16. We get a story of a man in hell. Look at verse number 19. Luke 16, 19. There was a certain rich man which was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus which was laid at his gate full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. So we have here two men. One went to Abraham's bosom, which is heaven, and one is in hell. And this is what he says in verse 24. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receiveth thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. Verse 26 is the key. And beside all this, between us and you, there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot. Neither can they pass to us that would come from thence. So the rich man in hell, he had one desire. He had the desire that someone would drip their finger in a glass of water and just drop a little drop on his tongue to cool him from his flame. Just to give him some relief. But guess when that remedy is coming for him? Guess when that relief is coming for him? Never. There's a great gulf fixed. Those that would go to him can't. Those that would go from him to Abraham's bosom can't go. It's eternal, and they have no remedy for their actions for all of eternity. It's a horrible, horrible thing. But you know what? There's people on this earth that can make certain decisions in their life to where when they cross a line, when they commit certain sins, when they make certain decisions in their life, they can be living with those consequences for the rest of their life, and there will never, ever be remedy for that person. There will never, ever be relief of the consequence that they've caused for themselves. Let's go to Proverbs. Proverbs chapter 29. And when you get to this place in your life, you're living a special kind of hell on earth when you have no remedy for your actions. Proverbs 29. Look at verse one. He, that being often reproved, hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. The Bible says if you're a person that's being reproved and you're hardening your neck, you're resisting the reproof, you're resisting the correction, you're resisting the wisdom. You're going to be destroyed. And here's the worst part about that destruction is that destruction is going to be without remedy, meaning you won't be able to fix what happens as a result of that sin. Now, let me just tell you, that's a place you do not want to get in your life. Stay there in Proverbs chapter number 29, and I'll read for you. 2 Timothy 3 16. It says, for all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. One of the aspects of the Word of God, one of the purposes of the Word of God is to reprove us, is to correct us, is to say, hey, here's what you're doing. Here's why it's wrong. Here's what's right. Here's how to do it right. That's what the Word of God does for us. But here's the thing, if you're the type of person where the Word of God is always trying to correct you, the Word of God is always trying to reprove you, your pastor's trying to reprove you, the preacher's trying to reprove you, your parents are trying to reprove you, your husband's trying to reprove you, and you want a heart in your neck, you don't want to listen to the correction in your life, guess what the Bible says is going to happen to you? The Bible says your destruction is going to come and that without remedy, meaning there'll be no fixing it, no solution, and that is a special type of hell. Let's go through a couple of Proverbs on this. Proverbs 6 verse 23, and we'll just rattle off a few of these. Proverbs 6 23, the Bible says, for the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. So the Bible, the commandment is a lamp, it illuminates for us, it tells us where we should go in our life, and it gives us instruction. Go to Proverbs 10 17. Flip the page there, Proverbs 10 17. He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction, but he that refuseth reproof erreth. So again, the Bible's painting this picture, you want to be the person that takes the instruction, takes the reproof, and don't refuse the reproof. Proverbs 12 one, flip over another page, Proverbs 12 one. Who so loveth instruction loveth knowledge, but he that hateth reproof is brutish. You know what brutish means? It means stupid. It means idiotic. He's saying if you're a type of person that hates being reproofed, that hates being corrected, that hates being challenged, then you are stupid. That's what God said. Now here's the thing, I love what Pastor Shelley says. He says that you can either receive reproof and feel stupid, or hate reproof and actually be stupid. Because here's the thing, if you're reproofed for something you did wrong, you're going to feel stupid because you got reproofed, because you were doing something wrong, because you were believing something wrong, you were teaching something wrong, you were whatever you were doing that was wrong, and now you're learning, okay, this is what's right, you're going to feel stupid. But if you don't receive the reproof, you know what, you just are stupid. I mean imagine if a person is just like preaching a sermon and just preaches all this false doctrine and the pastor never corrected it, it's like he might feel like he did a really great job, oh man, I preached a really great sermon, but it's like no, actually you're stupid. And we can all fall into the trap of doing things that are stupid, believing things that are stupid, saying things that are stupid, making decisions in our life that are stupid, but if we love reproof, at least we'll just look stupid for a minute and then not experience the death of having no reprieve from our mistakes, from our decisions that we make. Or you can just refuse reproof and actually be stupid, and actually experience all this shame in your life. Turn the page to Proverbs 13 18, Proverbs 13 18, poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction, but he that regardeth reproof shall be honored. You know what's coming for people that despise reproof? Poverty and shame. Those are two things that people don't want in their life, yet there's a lot of people that experience those things. Why? Because they don't like the reproof, that's why. Because they don't like the Bible correcting them, they don't like the preacher correcting them, they don't like anyone correcting them, and so they're just inviting for themselves to invite a living hell on their life is what they're doing. Proverbs 15 10, Proverbs 15 10, correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way, and he that hateth reproof shall die. Proverbs 15 32, he that refuseth instruction despises his own soul, but he that hearth reproof getteth understanding. The Bible has a pretty reoccurring theme here. You know, don't be the person that despises the correction that despises the reproof. If you're a wise person, if you love your own soul, you'll take that reproof. And here's the thing. The same reason why people go to the literal hell is the same reason why people create a living hell for themselves in this world. It's their pride, because they don't want to be corrected. They don't want to accept that the Bible says salvation is by faith alone. They don't want to accept that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins, and that it's a free gift. They don't want to accept that there's a God in heaven that is going to judge them for their life. And when they die, they will be judged. They don't want to accept that reproof. And the same people that create a living hell for themselves in this life are the same people that refuse God's reproof. They're too prideful to listen to correction. They're too prideful to listen to what the Bible says is best for their life. And people can make decisions to where they have to live with the consequences of their sin, and guess what? There's no remedy. Ever. Ever. What's an example of this? How about fornication? I'll read for you in 1 Corinthians. Stay there in Proverbs. Proverbs 5. I'll read for you 1 Corinthians 6, 18. The Bible says, excuse me, I'm losing my voice here. 1 Corinthians 16, 18. I find it funny how the Bible says that the person that despises correction, despises reproof, sins against his own soul. And here, we're told that the person that commits fornication sins against their own body. Now, here's the thing. If you're going to Sure Foundation Baptist Church, I guarantee you, you've heard this reproof many times. You've heard the preaching against fornication. Hopefully, you've read the Word of God and read that the Bible says to flee fornication. Now, is that the reproof that the world's giving today? Absolutely not. The world's saying, oh, if you love them, it's fine. One-night stands are fine. It doesn't matter if you're married or not. You can just go sleep with whoever you want. But the Bible says flee fornication, and if you commit fornication, you're actually sinning against your own body. You're sinning against yourself. What does that make me think of? Oh, someone that's brutish, someone that's stupid, that would sin against their own body. If you commit fornication, you're stupid. You're going to take the reproof, or are you going to despise the reproof and create a living hell for yourself that you can never escape? Proverbs 5, verse 1 says, my son, attend unto the Lord. Or are you going to despise the reproof and create a living hell for yourself that you can never escape? Proverbs 5, verse 1 says, my son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow down thine ear to mine understanding, that thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge. For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil. So oil and a honeycomb is a picture of something that's good, something that's desirable. And the Bible says that the strange woman could be desirable to you. But just because something's desirable to your eyes or to your flesh, does that mean that it's something that's good for you? Absolutely not. Verse 4, but her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Verse 5, her feet go down to death, her steps take hold on hell. Sounds like a living hell to be with this type of a woman. Verse 6, lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are movable that thou canst not know them. Hear me now, therefore, O you children. Here's God's word, begging to reprove you, begging to correct you. And depart not from the words of my mouth. Remove thy way far from her. Reminds me of flea fornication in 1 Corinthians 6. And come not nigh to the doors of her house, lest thou give thine honor unto others and thy years unto the cruel. When the Bible here is talking about honor, it's talking about your substance, your money. And the Bible says that if you go to this type of woman, you're going to be giving your honor unto others. Sounds like alimony, sounds like child support. How long does that stuff last with you again? Usually the rest of your life. Oh, is the court just going to excuse you? Oh, it's okay. You didn't know. You don't have to pay alimony. You don't have to pay child support. No, you know what it is? It's something that's not going to be reprieved. You're not going to have any remedy for that. Verse 10, lest strangers be filled with thy wealth and thy labors be in the house of a stranger. And thou mourn at the last when thy flesh and thy body are consumed. And say, how have I hated instruction? And my heart despised reproof. Not only can fornication cause you to give your wealth, your substance to other people, but also it could destroy your flesh and your body. When are you going to have reproof from that? When are you going to have remedy from that? Oh yeah, never. That's why it's like a living hell. I'll read for you some statistics from the CDC. This is a 2018 numbers. It said one out of every five Americans have an STD. You go out and you see all these people around one in five of them have an STD. 68 million people in our nation have one. Nearly half of newly acquired STDs came from those aged 15 to 24 years old. There will be an estimated $16 billion of lifetime medical costs for those infected in 2018 alone. Not including all the people that were infected back in the 60s that are still alive, in the 70s that are still alive, in the 80s. But just the people that were infected in 2018 will have $16 billion of medical costs in their lifetime. That's just unbelievable to me. And you know, teenagers they think that they know what's best for them. They want to just allow the flesh to run rampant. You say, I don't care what my pastor says. I don't care what the Bible says. I don't care what my mom and dad says. I'm just going to sow my wild oats. They'll make things right in the future. Hey, maybe not. Maybe God will be gracious to you. Maybe God will be merciful to you. But the Bible says, whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. So if you're one of God's children and you decide you want to go out and commit a fornication, I bet you you're going to be the one in five that gets the STD. Because God has already told you. And because you've hardened your neck. And so then that destruction comes. But you know what the worst part about that destruction is? Without remedy. That destruction comes and it's without remedy. Now, let me list to you a couple names of these diseases. And I'm not going to get into the symptoms because I don't want to know what the symptoms are to know that I don't want to have these. Who would like to have chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis, herpes, HIV, AIDS, human papillomavirus, pelvic inflammatory disease, syphilis, trichomoniasis, scabies, lice, mycoplasma genitalium, lymphogranuloma varenium, cankroid? I don't even know what half of those things are. And I don't care what they are to know that I don't want to have them. So I would rather just listen to God's instruction to flee fornication. Flee fornication, the Bible says. I'll take that over whatever the hell all this stuff is. Because guess what? That stuff has no remedy. You know when it's going to be cured? Never. You have it for the rest of your life. You never get to get rid of it. Here's another thing that can cause you to have a living hell on earth to where there's no remedy for your action. How about adultery? Go to Proverbs chapter number six, Proverbs six, Proverbs six thirty two. The Bible says, but whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding. And notice this familiar phrase again. He that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. Sounds like the same thing that was said about fornication. Sounds like the same thing that was said about someone that refuses instruction. A wound and dishonor shall he get. And notice this. And his reproach shall not be wiped away. When is a person who committed adultery going to have their reproach wiped away? It's not going to happen. Now obviously it's a sin that can be forgiven by God. All your sins are washed under the blood when you believe in Jesus Christ. But this reproach in the eyes of man is never going to go away. This reproach in the eyes of your spouse is never going to go away. And what is reproach? The dictionary definition of reproach is disgrace, discredit or blame. You will always have a disgrace of being an adulterer if that is something that you've done. You always have a discredit. You know, a pastor cannot be someone that's an adulterer. He's not blameless at that point. You have a blame. Now that doesn't mean that adulterers can't serve God. Obviously they can. And obviously they can walk away from those sins in the past and move on and forget those things which are behind pressing forth those things that are before. You know, aiming at the high mark of Jesus Christ. That's what we should do. But your blame is still there. You're not going to be a pastor if you've committed adultery. You're not going to be a pastor if you have multiple wives. If you've divorced one and have another. That reproach is not going to be wiped away. And so take this as a warning that there's things you can do that can cause your life to be a living hell. Why? Because you have no remedy for that action. Look at verse 34. For jealousy is the rage of a man. Therefore, he will not spare in the day of vengeance. He will not regard any ransom. Neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts. You know, you commit adultery with another man's wife. That might be a reproach. That might be a mistake that you're not going to have any remedy from because you might be able to beg for mercy from that man all you want, but he might just kill you. He might just murder you dead on the spot if you commit adultery with another man's wife. He said, what if I ask for forgiveness? What if I get on my knees and beg? He's not going to regard any ransom, though you give him many gifts. He might just kill you right then and there for doing it. And so guess what? There are some actions that you can take in this life to where if you do them, you might never have a reprieve from that action. And, you know, your spouse, you know that if so, if your spouse commits adultery on you, you know what the right thing is to do? Obviously, the Bible says that an altar should be put to death. That's not happening in our culture. But if your spouse commits adultery on you now, should you divorce them? No, you should forgive them. You should still love them. You should still forgive them. You should stay with your spouse. You should love them. But let me just tell you reality. That doesn't mean that's what every person is going to do. You see, there's right and wrong. And then there's reality. The right thing is if you commit adultery, the right thing is for your spouse to stay with you. But let me just tell you the reality. Your spouse may not stay with you. Your spouse may not forgive you. And so you want to play that. You want to roll the dice on that. Guess what? You go commit adultery, you might have a judgment on your life that you're never coming back from. You're never going to be able to fix that situation. Just like the people in hell can never fix anything that they do, there's some things you could do on this earth to where you cannot fix them. Not everything, but there are some things. How about alcohol? Go to Proverbs 23. Proverbs 23. You know, people that drink alcohol can do some things, can commit sins that causes them to live with the consequences of that action for the rest of their life. Look at Proverbs 23, 29. The Bible says, So the Bible lists all these horrible things, all this woe, misery, sorrow, redness of eyes, you know, getting in fights, having pains in your body, your eyes beholding strange women as things that happen to people. Terry Long at the wine, people that drink alcohol have all these horrible things happen to them in their life. And you can actually commit things while you're drinking alcohol that can cause you to live with the consequences of that for the rest of your life. Like committing fornication, like committing adultery, like, I don't know, getting in your car, driving down the road and killing someone's daughter, killing someone's son, killing someone's mom. Killing someone's wife. How are you going to bring them back? Oh, yeah, you can't, because it's something that you do that you can't fix. But guess what? It would have never happened if you listen to the proof of the Bible. It would have never happened if you would have listened to the proof of your pastor. It would have never happened if you listen to the proof of your mom or dad or whoever in your life is giving you sound wisdom. And so be very careful not to despise the reproof in your life, whether that's from God or from any authority that God has given you. Do not despise that reproof, because let me tell you what, you're going to eventually make your life a living hell. And you know what? When we go out soul winning and we say, they say that stupid phrase, I'm in hell right now. This is the kind of crap that they're dealing with, because their life kind of is a living hell because of all of these things. You want to talk about a group of people whose life is a living hell since we're in the month of June, since it's Pride Month. Let me tell you about a group of people whose lives are a living hell, people who have no remedy for their actions. And that is the Sodomites. The Sodomites have no reproof. They can never fix themselves. They can never change themselves. They can never put away the decisions that they've made or fix the things in their life. They're stuck. They're cursed. They're damned. They're living a living hell on this earth. You know, I bring these people up because today, this morning at Steadfast Baptist Church, all these Sodomites were protesting our church. And I looked at the security camera and from what I could count, it looked like it was between 30 and 40 Sodomites. But let's see what the Bible says about these people. Go to 2 Peter chapter 2. You know, Pastor Shelley preached a sermon last Sunday, and Steadfast Baptist Church has pretty much been getting a phone call or a message or an email almost every five minutes for seven days straight by these freak Sodomites for Pastor Shelley preaching the word of God against them. But let me tell you, these people, their lives are a living hell. They hate themselves. They hate everyone else. And when they die, they're going to go to the living hell, the real hell, the literal hell. Everything about them is just a hell. Look at 2 Peter chapter 2, verse 12. But these as natural brute beasts. You know what brute beast means? It means dumb animal, stupid animal. And let me tell you, these people are some of the most stupid human beings alive on the planet. It's like you preach against the Sodomites. They're like, oh, you must be a closeted Sodomite. You must be a self-loathing Sodomite. You must be really, really gay since you preach against facts. And it's like, does that logic work anywhere else? It's like, okay, faggot, does that make you an independent fundamental Baptist since you hate us so much? It's like, oh, I guess you're a closeted Baptist preacher because you hate Pastor Shelley so much. Does that make any sense? What the hell? But you know what the Bible says? Brute beasts, stupid animals. That's why they message us saying, do you speak Latin? Do you know that the Old Testament was written in Latin? It wasn't written in Latin, you brute beast, you stupid dog. You don't know anything. You're a stupid animal. That's why they hate themselves so much. Made to be taken and destroyed. He said, what are these people's purpose? To be taken and destroyed. They speak evil of the things that they understand, not like the word of God, like Jesus Christ, like blaspheming him in every single email message phone call that they send. And I love it when these people do that. You know why? Because it proves the Bible true because the Bible says that they speak evil of those things, which they know not. And guess what? When they open their mouth, it's like, tada, Bible's true. Here you go. Opening your stupid brute beast mouth again, showing us exactly who you are and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness. You know what that reward is? Hell. How are they going to escape it? How are they going to escape that reproof? They're not. It's inescapable. It's a hell on earth. As they that count it pleasure to ride in the daytime. Spots they are in blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you. Having eyes full of adultery. When are they going to stop being adulterers? When are they going to stop sinning? Oh yeah, look at the next phrase. And that cannot cease from sin. They cannot stop. You say, when is the reprieve coming? When is the relief coming? When are they going to be able to change themselves? Never. They cannot cease from sin. Beguiling unstable souls. In heart they have exercised with covetous practices. Cursed children. They're cursed. They're damned. There's no hope for them. They are damned to hell. Jude says that they're twice dead. Look at Romans chapter one. These sodomites really are living a hell on earth. They are experiencing a hell on earth. And the judgment that God has given them of being turned over to reprobate mine. The judgment that God has given them of being given over to those vile affections. They're never escaping that judgment. There's no getting help for it. There's no rehabilitating them. There's no changing them. It's something that's there forever. And they can never change it. Romans 1 21. The Bible says, because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God. Neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations. And their foolish heart was darkened. You see, the Bible says that they knew God but they glorified him not as God. This is the type of person that they heard the reproof of God's word. They heard the reproof. Even creation itself, the Bible says, declares the Godhead. And so there's a lot of things you can understand just by creation itself. And there's a lot of things that God declares just by creation itself. But even that little reproof, these people didn't want to retain in their knowledge. Even that little reproof, these people hated. Proverbs chapter 1 talks about how they would none of my reproof. And so that's why these people end up becoming reprobates is because for the same reason why everyone else has turned their life into a living hell that we've talked about, what's the root cause? They would none of the reproof. That's the reason why they became the way that they are. Verse 22, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. So these vile affections that they were given over to, the recompense of their error, their vile affections, their reprobate mind, all the sick things that they do, all of that is the recompense of their error. All of that is the punishment that God has given them. And when is the remedy? When are these people getting remedy? Never. They're cursed. They're twice dead. They're brute beasts. They're never able to change. And that is why the Bible says that they should be put to death. Look at verse 28. And even as they did not like to retain God, in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient. Then it says being filled. Now, that phrase is very important because the Bible doesn't say that they are filled. The Bible says that they're being filled. So every single day that these reprobates are alive, they're getting worse and worse. They're getting more wicked than the day that they were before. Just like how every single Christian has a moment in time where they became born again, every single reprobate has a moment in time where they became twice dead, where they became a child of the devil. And let me tell you, just like how a baby Christian is not going to be on the same spiritual level as Pastor Thompson, a baby reprobate, someone that was just given over to a reprobate mind yesterday, isn't going to be Jeffrey Dahmer quite yet. Isn't going to be all of these extreme psychopaths quite yet. But they do have that capacity and here's the thing, they're being filled with it every day. Every day that they're allowed to live on this earth, they're getting more and more wicked. Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whispers, they're being filled with all these things every day. Back fighters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful, who knowing the judgment of God that they which commit such things are worthy of death. Not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them. Want to know why they're worthy of death? Because there's no remedy for them. There's no changing them. They're being filled more and more every single day. All they're doing is getting more and more wicked every day. And since there's no hope for them anyways, they are worthy to be put to death. They should be executed by the government. It's not something that we would ever take into our own hands. They like to lie and rail against us. Say that we say our congregations should murder homosexuals. That's never what any preacher in our movement has ever said. What we've always said is Leviticus 2013 teaches that a government should put these homosexuals to death. That is always what we have said. But why bring them up? Because doesn't that fit our point of the hell of never having a remedy for your action? That's the Sodomites right there. But there's another aspect that the people in hell experience that we can experience and people on this earth can experience obviously on a much lower level. But it's also the feeling of being alone. The feeling of being alone is something that people in hell experience and it's something that people on this earth can experience as well. Go to 2 Peter chapter number 2. 2 Peter chapter number 2. 2 Peter 2 verse 4. For if God spared not the angels that sinned but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto judgment. The Bible often refers to hell as outer darkness. Hell is a place that is completely dark. And if you're in a place that's completely dark, if you couldn't even see the hand in front of your face, you know what you're going to feel? Alone. Even though there's fire in hell, even though people are burning in hell, they can't see. It's dark. That's a horrible, horrible thing, isn't it? That's a scary thing. Turn to Mark and I'll read for you Revelation 14 11. It says, and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever. Now, have you ever seen a really, really big fire, a building fire, a power plant or something like really big? There's a lot of smoke in that, right? Or I know there's often woodland forest fires here. And when that happens, sometimes you can't really see, right? Well, hell is just contained and it's just smoke filled. And so the people in hell, they can't see anything. And so they feel alone. They have this feeling of being alone. You're there in Mark. Did I have you turn to Mark? I'm sorry, turn to Luke 15. Luke 15. This is something that people can experience on earth, obviously, the feeling of being alone. And when people tell us when we're also winning, I'm in hell right now. This is also one of the things that often is going on in their life where they're alone. But just like the first point we talked about, how it was their own fault for rejecting the reproof. Oftentimes, the reason why people experience this type of hell in their life of feeling alone, sadly, it's because of their own fault. Obviously, you know, if you're being persecuted for righteousness sake and your family and your friends forsake you, then that's not your own fault. But let's just be honest. Most people that are alone in their life are alone because of their own fault. It's their own fault that they're experiencing that type of hell. Now look at Luke 15 is the story of the prodigal son. In verse 11, it says, And he said, A certain man had two sons, and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. He divided unto them his living. So this son is very short sighted. He wants his inheritance right now. Give it to me now. I want to experience the pleasures of life right now. And so he's willing to flush away his future for the pleasures that he's receiving right now. And this is often the mistake that people make who end up being alone in their life is the give it to me now mentality. Look at verse 13 and not many days after the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country and there wasted his substance with riotous living. So he's being irresponsible. Let me ask you a question. Is him wasting his substance with riotous living his dad's fault? Is it his brother's fault? Is it his church's fault? Or is it his own fault? It's his own fault. He's wasting his inheritance. He was stupid to ask for his inheritance early, and he's stupid for wasting it all. It's his own fault that he's gotten himself into this situation. Look at verse 14. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in the land, and he began to be in want. And he went and journeyed himself to a citizen of that country. And he sent him into the fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat. And no man gave unto him. Guess what? He feels alone right now. He's here with the pigs. He's, you know, barely staying alive. He's starving pretty much. And no man is giving unto him. This is a feeling of being alone. Now, why did he get in this situation? Because of his own irresponsibility. Because of his own selfishness. And oftentimes, people make selfish decisions. People make irresponsible decisions in their life to where now they're dealing with the consequences of what? Being alone. And that's kind of a hell on earth, is it not? I mean, the people in hell, they can't see anything. They feel alone. And the people on this earth that make this mistake, they feel alone too. And when we're talking to people, that's usually what they're dealing with. Verse 17. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I perish with hunger. And so now he's suffering with that regret. That regret of the foolish decisions he's made. But just because he's sorry, just because he regrets it, does that change his reality? Nope. Life is tough. And life will teach us real quick when we make decisions like this. When we don't care about making responsible decisions, it'll teach you real quick. Because it'll put you in a spot like this where you're alone. So how can we avoid being put into this situation? How can we avoid coming to a spot in this world where we just feel alone? Obviously, it's by investing in other people. It's by being a selfless person. Now, hey, like I said, if you find yourself alone because of righteousness sake, I mean, Jesus Christ was alone. Jesus Christ was forsaken of all of his disciples. He was forsaken of God the Father. He was alone. But that wasn't because of his fault. That was because he was taking all of our sins in himself. But look, here's how you avoid being alone, except for that rare exception of persecution for righteousness sake. Invest in other people. Invest in other people. How about your children? Psalm 127, I'll read for you, verse three says, Lo, children are in heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. You want to know why a lot of people end their life alone? Because they didn't have any kids. And I'm not saying through any not any fault of their own, like, you know, they're infertile, their wife can't bear children or anything like that. It's a sort of physical problem where God just doesn't bless them. But I'm talking about people that just don't have kids because they're selfish because they don't want to have kids. Because, you know, I had a family member of mine who he got married and as a prerequisite to his wife getting married to him, he made her tie her tubes before the marriage. You know what that is? A selfish person, a person who may end up in their life completely alone. And guess whose fault it's going to be? Their own. Because they didn't invest in anyone else because they wanted to go and waste their substance with riotous living instead of buckling down, getting a job, you know, protecting your wife, providing for your wife and raising your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Hey, when you do that, the Bible says you're happy. When your quiver is full of those arrows, you're happy. And guess what? You're not going to be alone. You know, a lot of times big families, they'll complain, oh, it's so loud in here. I can never get time to myself. You know what, though? It'd be a lot worse to be alone. It'd be a lot worse to be alone. Sometimes it is hard having all the kids screaming, okay? I'm glad that I don't have to write my sermons at home because I don't know how I would do it sometimes. But look, I would rather the screaming, the turmoil, the chaos, whatever it is, than being alone because I didn't invest in my children, because I was too selfish to have kids because I didn't want to invest in other people. How about your parents? I'll read for you Exodus 2012, honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. The Bible says it's a commandment to honor your father and your mother. It doesn't say honor your father and your mother if they're fundamental Baptists that believe everything like you do. It's not what the Bible says. The Bible says to honor your mother and your father. And you know what? People are so prideful that they want to just ditch their parents. They just want to throw them behind their back after raising them for 18, 20, in these days sometimes 30, 35 years after all that they've done for you and just throwing them behind your back. It's wicked as hell. And you know what? You reap what you sow. And if you want to not invest in your parents, you want to not invest in your children, you might just find yourself in a place where you're alone and your life is a living hell. How about your friends? Go to John 3 and I'll read for you Proverbs 27, 10. Thine own friend and my father's friend forsake not. It's really hard nowadays to find a good friend. It's really hard nowadays to find a faithful friend. And when you've found that friend, don't just forsake them. Don't just give up on your guys' friendship because you had a fight once because you disagree on one tertiary doctrine because you don't believe that the two witnesses are brother Josh and brother Tony in Vancouver. Look, don't just forsake your friends just because you have differences. It's good that we have differences. I have many great friends, you know, a lot of them at Sure Foundation and Steadfast. And guess what? I don't agree with every single thing that all of my friends believe and say and do, but I love my friends and I'm not going to just forsake them. And people shouldn't just forsake their friends for the stupidest things because when you don't, when you do that kind of stuff, when you don't invest in your friends and you just care about yourself, you want to be selfish. You might end up in your life in a place where you feel alone and you have no friends. Why? Because of your own fault. And guess what? Now your life is a type of living hell because you feel alone. How about church? You know, not forsaking the assembly of ourselves together. Invest into your church. Don't just throw away your church. After all that God has blessed you with over the years, all the souls that are being saved, all the people that are growing in the Lord, all the new faces. Look, when God is building this church, when you're investing into it, don't just give up on it. Don't just turn on it. Don't just turn your back on it or become a rebel and start just going against the church. Because guess what? You reap what you sow. And when you throw away all the blessings that God gives you, like this young man, the prodigal son, you might just find yourself completely alone. So look, God has blessed you with this church. Don't throw it away. Invest into it. Love it. You know, instead of complaining about everything, why don't you make it better? Why don't you actually, instead of just complaining and giving all these problems, why don't you just offer solutions? Why don't you try? Why don't you keep your mouth shut and actually do something, help clean the building, help lead a soul winning time, rather than just turning your back on the church and just criticizing the church, criticizing the pastor. It's wicked. The last thing, the last thing that people on earth can experience, that's an attribute of hell, is the pain of being unforgiven. The pain of being unforgiven. And this closely ties to what we just talked about, about investing in other people. But you're in John chapter 3. Let's look at John 3.18, it says, He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He that believeth on the Son of God hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. You say, when will the people in hell just be forgiven for what they've done? When will they be able to just live it down a little bit? The cross word that they said, the impure thought that they had, cutting someone off in traffic and cursing them or whatever, all the things that they've done, when are they going to be able to live it down? Never. The wrath of God abides on these people in hell for all of eternity. They're never forgiven. They never have any relief of having their sins forgiven. Hey, isn't it blessing to be saved and to have all of your sins forgiven? Every single thing you've ever done in the past, right now and in the future, all of it's forgiven. You don't have to experience that type of hell, that kind of pain of being unforgiven. Have you ever had someone not forgive you when you wanted them to forgive you? When you're asking them to forgive you? When you have a right heart towards them and they don't forgive you? That sucks. That's a type of hell. Aren't you glad that Jesus didn't do that to you when you called upon the name of the Lord? When you asked him to forgive you of your sins and you called upon him for salvation, he didn't say, no, I don't forgive you. But guess what? That's what he says to everyone in hell. That's what he says to everyone that refuses the reproof of the word of God, that doesn't want to accept him. They'll never experience forgiveness. Go to 2 Thessalonians 1. 2 Thessalonians 1, verse 8. In flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power. When will these people stop being destroyed? Never. It's everlasting destruction. It's God taking vengeance on you for eternity, for your sins. That's hell. And guess what? Sometimes people on this earth experience this type of hell when they have the pain of being unforgiven. The people in hell can never be forgiven. And sometimes people on this earth are unforgiven. But just like the other two examples, you want to guess whose fault this normally is? It's usually their own fault. Not saying every single time, but usually when people don't forgive you, it's because you're reaping what you've sown. It's because you weren't forgiving to other people, and now people aren't being forgiving to you. Go to Mark. I'm sorry, let's skip that for the sake of time. Let's go to Luke chapter 17. Luke 17. Let's understand the commandment of God in regards of forgiveness. Luke 17, verse 3. This is Jesus speaking. He said, Take heed to yourselves. If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him, and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day, turn to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him. So the commandment of God, the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ, is that if your brother trespasses against you, he repents, he asks you for forgiveness, thou shalt forgive him. It's not optional. You don't get to think, ah, should I forgive my brother when he asks me for forgiveness? No, it's thou shalt. There's no exceptions. You must forgive your brother. Now what happens if you don't forgive? Go to Mark chapter number 11. Mark chapter number 11. So we understand what the command is. Well, what's the consequence if you don't? Mark chapter 11, verse 24. Mark 11, verse 24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any, that your father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, here's the consequence, neither will your father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. So again, we see what happens. You reap what you sow. When someone sins against you, they ask you for forgiveness, and you don't forgive them, God's going to then not forgive you. Obviously not in regards to salvation, but in regards of having a daily walk with the Lord, having fellowship, having a close relationship with the Lord. If you're not forgiving your brothers, he's going to be hanging everything over your head just like you hang everything over your brother's head. Every word that you say, every impure thought that you have, he's going to be spanking you and coming down on you twice as hard. Why? Because that's how you are to other people. And so guess what? The people in their lives where they're like, man, no one forgives me. I have this pain of being unforgiven. Do you forgive others? Because you might be in that position because of your own doing. And so if you find yourself in that position, whether today or sometime in the future, you know, ask yourself, why did I get to this spot? Is it because it's something I did? Let me tell you, most likely that is the answer. Most likely it's because you weren't following what Jesus said, and so now your father in heaven is hanging everything over your head, just like you hung everything over your brother's head. Go to Luke 15. I'll read for you Psalms 18 verse 25. The Bible says, With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful. With an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. Hey, great news. If you're merciful and upright, God's going to be that way with you. Okay, here's the bad news, or here's still some good here. With the pure that will shew thyself pure, here's the bad news. With the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. So you want to be froward? You want to be against everything? You want to be against everything your brother does? Well, God's going to be against you. God's going to be froward to you. Luke 15. So we read the beginning of the story of the prodigal son, but notice how it ends here. Luke 15 18. I will arise and go to my father and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. Make me as one of the hired servants. So he's in his heart here. He's planning to go ask for forgiveness. He's planning to make things right, which is the right thing to do. Verse 20, and he rose and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. So the father, he wasn't waiting for him to get down on his hands and knees and forgive him. Oh, great ways off. He had compassion on his son. That's how forgiving this father was. And that's how forgiving God is to us, right? That's how forgiving Jesus Christ is for us. But guess what? That's the same way you should be. Don't make your brothers and sisters get on their hands and knees and grovel and beg you three times a day for forgiveness. Look, a simple, I'm sorry, it should be done. Flush it. Get it gone. Because if you don't, then that's how God's going to treat you. Verse 21, and the son said unto him, father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight and am no more worthy to be called thy son. You see, life humbled this man, didn't it? Life showed this man what's up. Verse 22, but the father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe and put it on him and put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet. Bring hither the fatted calf and kill it and let us eat and be merry. For this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found and they began to be merry. I love the reaction of this father because he's so happy to have a son back. He's so happy to have his son learning his lesson and getting things right in his life. And so you, whether it's your son, whether it's your mom, your dad, your brother in Christ, when they come to you for forgiveness, be happy about it. Don't hang it over their head. You know, the Bible doesn't tell us how God blessed this father in the future, but I guarantee you that God was very merciful with his dad because this dad was very merciful to his son. So if that's how you want to be treated by God, treat others that same way. Don't create a living hell in your life where no one will forgive you just like the people in the literal hell because you wouldn't forgive others. So just in review here, what are some things that people experience in hell that can be experienced on earth? Number one, the turmoil of having no remedy for your actions, never being able to fix things. That's something that we don't want to have in our life. Number two, the feeling of being alone. Number three, the pain of being unforgiven. You know, thank God if you're saved in this room today, you'll never have to experience those pains and those turmoils in the literal hell. Thank God for that. And when we're out soul winning, when people tell us I'm living in hell right now, just think, this is the kind of stuff that they're probably dealing with. And yeah, it is probably their fault. And yeah, they did probably despise reproof from their pastor, from the Bible, from their friends, from their mom and dad. And yeah, they probably were selfish and didn't invest in other people's lives. And you know what, they probably are unforgiven by other people because they treat other people like jerks, but that shouldn't stop us from loving them. Because even though we were that way, spiritually, God still reached out and forgave us. And so we need to continue to go out and preach the gospel to them so that they don't experience a hell that's literal and so that their life can get better, so their lives won't become a living hell. And with that, let's have a word of prayer. Lord, thank you so much for this day and thank you for the word of God that can reprove us, that can instruct us, that can correct us. And thank you for Pastor Thompson that does the same for this congregation and all the godly authorities and examples in this room and in our lives that can lead us in the way we should go. I pray that we would always accept the reproof that you give us. I pray that you would bless this church in the remainder of our day. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, Daniel's getting pizza and I'm not a song leader, so I'm not going to attempt that, so we'll just end it here. Let's bow our heads. Father, thank you for the message that Brother Oz gave us. I ask that you just break us to our hearts, that we remember what he said, that we don't make our life a living hell, that we do the things that are pleasing his sight. I just ask that you bless the food and fellowship coming up and you'll bless the soul winning afterwards. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
