No we got to go out boldly and preach the gospel And I'm not saying being a jerk either Alright so we shouldn't be rude to people at the door And think about this There's those ring doorbell things all over the city Right all over every city When you go to the door You know and you see one of those things going like this You know this is 2021 soul-winding That means someone's listening to what you're saying That means someone's recording what you're saying So just be mindful of the things you're saying while you're going out But we need to go out boldly Proverbs chapter 28 verse number 1 I'll have you turn to Amos chapter 3 verse 8 Proverbs chapter 28 verse number 1 says The wicked flee when no man pursueth But the righteous are bold as a lion So hey if you're saved today that means you're righteous You have the righteousness of Christ imputed upon you And when you go out solely you should go out boldly And go out like a lion Go out and be bold Lions are bold aren't they? And hey when people When a lion roars people get afraid You know and You know obviously we're not trying to go out and scare people You know are you 100% sure if you die today you go to heaven You know We shouldn't be like that but What I'm saying is that we need to be bold We need to be bold like a lion would be bold And go out there and just preach the message Because the gospel still saves doesn't it? Amen it does so We should be bold with our message and not be afraid to preach what the Bible says No matter what it says Alright you can tell people in a nice way they're going to hell right? Amos chapter 3 verse 8 says The lion hath roared who will not fear The Lord hath spoken who can but prophesy Hey when the Lord's spoken it It's the truth it's God's word So why would we not go out and preach what God said to do And we should as righteous people and bold people Go out and preach the gospel with boldness Not milk toast Not half heartedly or haphazardly We need to go out with boldness And number 3 we need to go out zealously Zealously when we go out soul winning it should be a zealous thing Look at 2 Kings chapter 10 verse 15 2 Kings chapter 10 verse 15 While you're turning there I'm just going to start reading Because I don't have a lot of time It says that when he was departed thence He lied it on Jehonadab the son of Rahab Coming to meet him and he saluted him And said to him is thine heart right As my heart is with thy heart And Jehonadab answered it is If it be give me thine hand And he gave him his hand and he took him up into his chariot This is talking about You know just a man of God Jehu Going out and he driveth furiously right So there's a lot of people that are going to be driving out in their chariots From the parking lot today And so but he says hey He said come with me and see my zeal for the Lord So they made him ride in his chariot So Jehu says hey come on up and see the zeal That I'm going to go out with And obviously you're going to be driving out in your chariots All these different maps and locations But hey your soul winning partner should feel the zeal that you have for the Lord Hey it rubs off on people If you're out there and you're just like hey I want to knock doors I want to get people saved And your soul winning partner should feel that You should rub off on each other And that way you should go out and take things seriously And have eternity on your hearts also for other people You know zeal can be contagious You know that's why there's all these people in here That are ready to go soul winning because of preachers That would get up and thunder forth God's word And say hey let's go soul winning So don't be lackadaisical out there Be serious when you go out and out there And be zealous for the things of God And number four be spirit filled Turn to Ephesians chapter 5 verse 18 Ephesians chapter 5 verse 18 The Bible says And be not drunk with wine Wherein is excess But be filled with the Spirit It's a commandment of God to be filled with the Spirit And when you're out going soul winning You know the Holy Spirit is in you But don't you want to be filled with the Spirit When you're out soul winning You shouldn't be like three quarters full You should be full tilt ready to roll Filled with the Spirit Why do you think we sing the song before we go out And so we can get filled with the Spirit Because it says in verse number 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs Singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord So the Lord tells us a clue How do you get filled with the Spirit? Sing a song But here's the other thing you can do You can ask For God to fill you with his Spirit Turn to Luke chapter 11 verse 9 Luke chapter 11 verse 9 The Bible says in Luke chapter 11 verse number 9 And I say unto you Ask and it shall be given you Seek and ye shall find Knock and it shall be opened unto you For everyone that asketh receiveth And he that seeketh findeth And to him that knocketh it shall be opened What's the Bible saying here It's saying hey if you ask God's going to give it to you But you know a lot of people don't even ask to be filled with the Spirit Before they go out and go soul winning But you should And it says in verse 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father Will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he ask an egg will he offer him a scorpion? So what's he saying he's just basically Saying that hey if your kids will ask you for something good Are you going to give them something that's going to poison them or hurt them? Absolutely not and so in the same way God If you ask him Then he's going to give you good gifts too but look what it specifically says in verse 13 And if then being evil If you then being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children How much more shall your heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him So today before you go out soul winning Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit And you know what if you're filled with the Holy Spirit when you go out preaching And you're zealous And you're prayerful when you go out Then God's going to grant those requests It's not a question of well if he's going to do it No it says how much more shall your heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask All you have to do is ask and he'll give it to you Right? And so Here's what you don't want to do though You don't want to go out acting fleshly You don't want to go out talking about things that are just pointless And obviously you go out with your soul winning partner And you start developing a friendship But if you're talking about working on Camaros the whole time You know I don't know if people like Camaros in here I was just picking a random car right But if you're just talking about the things of the world and then every door Then you're trying to get spiritual Hey be filled with the Spirit the whole time you're out there Talk about the things of God And you know obviously have fellowship and friendship But you know just think about this We're ambassadors for Christ out there You should be acting as an ambassador when you're going out Not like a clown or jesting fool Number five, ready to learn from others How should we go out soul winning? We should be ready to learn from others If you think you've arrived You know and you don't have anything else that you can learn Well then you're in a bad spot There's always something you can pick up from a soul winner And hey I'm not saying change everything that you do Because you saw some different presentation I'm just saying there's things there's tips that other soul winners can give you That's why it's good to go out with other soul winners sometimes Look at Proverbs chapter 27 verse number 17 Proverbs chapter 27 verse number 17 We looked at this verse yesterday It says iron sharpeneth iron so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend So when we're out there hey you're iron The other one's iron Sharpen each other Make each other better You're not supposed to go out and make somebody worse Make them better Be ready to learn from other people Some different soul winning techniques and tips So and hey while you're while I'm thinking about this You know don't go out with this attitude That's annoying attitude of a know-it-all Learn from each other Don't go out and just act like you know everything And try to control every situation Hey if it's somebody else's turn let them talk Don't interrupt them And it's really annoying when somebody tries to just keep interrupting you That's part one of the rules here Is that a silent partner is what? Silent Okay keep your mouth shut and let the other person talk And if they look at you like Mm-hmm Mm-hmm Then you know You know Then you can pass the baton and start talking But it's really rude And then you know then you feel like that you need to go back to Genesis And that person didn't go back to Genesis for you or something like that Hey just let them preach you know But hey if you're not ready to talk Then don't talk If you're not fully trained I mean obviously there's there's baby steps and things like that I'm not talking about that You know So silent partners you know they have to jump in And start kind of going a little bit at a time But what I'm saying is if you're completely not ready And you're just going out with this attitude that you know everything That's not a good attitude to have That's how to not go out So So And use the maps that are provided And do your best to check them off and turn them in like you're asked to So don't just crumble up the map and throw it and say I just knock whatever door I feel like knocking No This is an organized soul winning mission here And so it's very important that each door gets checked off And marked off And they need that for their To mark off the maps that they have Number six You need to be prepared There's a prepared place for a prepared person Romans chapter 1 verse 15 Turn over to Romans chapter 1 verse 15 Now let me give you a little caveat here If you're brand new I'm not expecting you to know all this stuff Okay If you're brand new and you're a silent partner you're there to learn So I'm not expecting you to know all the soul winning verses You know the first time you go out there or something But The Bible says in Romans chapter 1 verse 15 This is the apostle Paul speaking So as much as in me is I am ready to preach the gospel To you that are at Rome also Hey when you're out there be ready to go Don't you know don't go out there just lackadaisical Like I said you want to know the verses that you're supposed to be That you know Hey what if you didn't have a Bible with you Would you be able to lead someone to the Christ? Well hey learn the soul winning verses So that you can be ready to preach the gospel And hey anybody that walks across your path Just know that that could be a divine appointment You know someone's walking across your path Hey maybe you're supposed to be knocking these doors But if someone walks across your path Hey that might be an opportunity for you to get that person saved It's happened lots of times Who's had someone saved that just walked across your path Alright hands all over the building So be prepared to preach the gospel We should have that mentality It's not just the people that You know obviously we're knocking the doors But anybody you have a chance to talk to Just be in soul winning mode the whole time And ready to preach the gospel to anyone To every creature right So you know know the verses Know the verses So Psalm 119 verse 11 Says thy word have I hid mine heart That I might not sin against thee So but the key part I want you to think about here Is thy word God's word right Have I hid in my heart So hiding something in your heart When it's talking about this It's talking about memorizing scripture So you should have you know Some people want to you know I'm not knocking anybody that has hundreds of chapters memorized That's great But do you have the chapters for soul winning Because you know it's good to have chapters memorized But do you have the soul winning verses memorized That's really important So if you're gonna focus on something Focus on the soul winning verses first So you can go out there and be effective And be ready to preach the gospel Number seven Go out in faith How should we go out We should go out in faith Turn to Psalm 126 verse 6 Psalm 126 verse 6 See a lot of people you know you think Oh we're going out soul winning in California You know nobody's gonna get saved That's not true That's not true You need to go out with faith Go out with faith and know That when the gospel is getting preached People are gonna get saved Do you run into some neighborhoods Hey we run into neighborhoods all the time In Vancouver that people aren't wanting to hear But you know what people always seem to get saved Every single week when we go out Cause if we go out People are gonna get saved Look at Psalm 126 verse 6 It says he that goeth forth and weepeth Bearing precious seed Shall what's it say Doubtless That means you know it's gonna happen There's no doubt about it So it says come again with rejoicing Bringing his sheaves with him This is talking and referring to soul winning There's no doubt about it folks You're gonna get people saved if you go out Hey is someone gonna get saved today Maybe Have faith Don't go Oh man we're in the Sikh neighborhood again You know Hey Those Sikhs can get saved too Anybody can get saved At any time we're out going soul winning Cause the gospel has not lost its power Amen People are still gonna get saved And that's what God He chose the foolishness of preaching to save them That believe right So he's chosen that mode So if we go out and do what God said to do It's gonna be a doubtless thing So we need to go out with faith Knowing that people are gonna get saved Don't have an attitude Oh people aren't gonna get saved Hey people might get saved People get saved all the time in rich neighborhoods when we go I mean they're not every door Some doors But even rich people can get saved Nothing's impossible with God right Is anything too hard for the Lord Nothing's too hard for the Lord Number 8 We need to go out with compassion We need to go out with compassion What does that mean Caring about people Looking at someone's plight in life And caring about that person But when we're talking about compassion What I'm talking about compassion is compassion for that person's soul That person has an eternal destiny And some people Most people are going to hell But you know what we can change Lives just by going out and preaching The message that Jesus told us to preach Look at Jude 21 Jude 21 Jude 21 It says keep yourselves in the love of God Looking for the mercy Of our Lord Jesus Christ Unto eternal life But don't you think we should be looking for other people's mercy We got mercy Someone came and talked to us Someone made a video that people got saved The Bible Way to Heaven Who got saved watching the Bible Way to Heaven video Raise your hands Look at that Lots of people Someone shared the gospel with you Someone just took the time to share the gospel with you It's called compassion Someone cared about your soul And wanted you to get saved Now we should be out with the same attitude Where instead of looking at them like they're scum Look at them like that's a soul That has an eternal destiny And we need to go out there with the compassion For people that want to change their destiny Right So look at what it says in verse 22 And if some have Compassion Making a difference If you care about people A tear in your eye And you care about those people People are going to get saved And you know what it's going to do? It's going to make a difference in their life It's going to make a huge difference It's the difference between heaven and hell It's the difference between being judged And being righteous It's the difference between Their whole life changing We always teach A changed life doesn't necessarily mean No one's saved or not saved It does though You might not be able to see the change in that person's life But that change happened if they got saved If they believed on Christ It says in verse 23 And others saved with fear Pulling them out of the fire Hating even the garments Spotted by the flesh You know what A good fireman Is always going to go in And try to save people If they're a bad fireman They're going to just sit there and let it burn There's a lot of bad fireman Christians out there today That aren't going And trying to pull people out of the fire Obviously this is Trying to give us a visual Application Because fires have been happening in people's houses For thousands of years They might not have always had the same Sophisticated systems that we have But people still burn And die in fires all the time You know what There's a whole multitude of people That are going to a great fire And hey you know You want to have compassion on someone You want to make a difference Save with fear Sometimes people need to have the hell scared into them They need to have You know You need to just nail down hell for them So that they understand just how bad And how harsh it's really going to be And we need to go out there with an attitude of compassion And say we're going to save people We're going to pull them out of the fire We're going to be a good Christian fireman Turn to Matthew chapter 9 And we'll end here Matthew chapter 9 verse 36 This is the attitude that Jesus had when he went out And he looked at the people And he saw their plight in life Matthew chapter 9 verse 36 It's talking about Jesus But when he saw The multitudes He was moved with compassion It's not enough to just care You have to be moved and go out And say I'm going to get people saved I'm going to preach the gospel to people I care about this person You might not even know them You probably won't know them But you know what In heaven someday You might not even remember their name You might not remember them for the rest of your life But you're going to say Thank you so much for getting me saved Jesus was moved with compassion Because they fainted And were scattered abroad As sheep having no shepherd Jesus cared about people We're not supposed to go out there with this attitude Where you don't want to hear the gospel Let's just be rude to them Let's say something stupid At their door so they can hear when we walk away Don't have that attitude Don't have that attitude So it says And then saith he to his disciples The harvest truly Is plenteous But the laborers are few And that is true The laborers are few And he said pray therefore The Lord of the harvest They will send forth laborers Into his harvest And I just want to close with this thought That you know my first point We need to go out prayerfully But we need to When we're not soul winning We need to remember to pray For the Lord to send out laborers What's he telling his disciples Pray therefore The Lord of the harvest There's a lot of people out there That are scattered abroad There's a lot of people out there That are fainting But Jesus wants to have compassion on that person You know it takes a spirit filled soul winner To go out and bring that compassion to people Amen So how we go out soul winning is Important Before we go out today I just wanted to Bring all this stuff to your remembrance So that we can go out With the right attitude And all these points that I made They're very important points Obviously I could preach a way longer sermon about this But we need to get out there And get some people saved and pull them out of the fire Amen Let's pray for these things And bring some sinners to Christ today Heavenly Father we thank you Lord so much For this great group of soul winners I pray Lord That each one of us would go out And think about these things that were said And that they would apply them in their Christian lives I pray that we'd see a multitude of people saved Pray for all the rest of the Red Hot Preaching Conference And it's just been great so far Lord We really just married but you're here by yourself For soul winning To go into the fellowship hall You guys, I'm going to get up and move quickly Get up and move Not now, not now, not now I'm saying when I tell you to I like it But we'll need you to move in that direction But we'll need kind of clear Clear the way For the captains, just know that Brother Oliver is going to be the runner back and forth If you need to pair people up or whatever Be looking for brother Oliver in regards to that When you get partnered The soul winning captains are going to give you your resources They're going to give you your you're familiar with that But we have a show called Rooted and Grounded It shows on Monday evenings at 5 pm Here in the Sacramento On channel 19, 14, channel 20 Don't ask me why we haven't been kicked off yet But we pay a lot of money for it That's probably why The Bible's way to heaven on the back And all sorts of different things That's what you'll be giving out You'll also be getting these psychopath reprobate And we have these little booklets Called What the Bible says About how to know you're on your way to heaven And it's pretty much our Bible Way to Heaven Presentation transcribed We had it professionally edited Into a little booklet essay form So we've been giving these out to people And it explains how you can know for sure So if you go through the gospel and you're not able to finish Or whatever, you can hand this out to somebody And give those out So you should be getting these three resources Your team captains will have those for you You'll also have your maps And let me just quickly explain this I know many of you have been to our church before But some of you have not What you're going to be handed is a little packet that looks like this This packet will have two maps You're going to probably be partnered with one person And then two other soul winners On the other side You'll be on one side of the street The other soul winners on the other side of the street There's two maps for the two groups For example, let's say two couples Will probably have the two husbands on one side When you get the map You'll get a picture of the actual area You'll see a line That actually surrounds the area we want you to do So whatever the border is The inside of that Is what we want you to do You'll see a little marker with an address on the map That will be your meeting point On the second page We actually have the directions for you Just in case you don't have a GPS From the church address to the meeting point Of where you're going to meet your group If you don't have a GPS You can just put in the address there You will meet at that point With your soul winning partners Have a quick prayer And then knock out that area If you finish the map You completely finish it There's nothing else to do You can discard it You can throw it away And we will count it as done If you did not finish the map Please clearly mark what was done Or give it to one of our staff guys or whatever Because we'll make sure to go back and finish up Whatever was not done If you have a teenager And you do not want them to go with somebody That you don't know Then keep them with you If you have a teenager and they're older They're a soul winner and you're comfortable with them going That's fine Don't have them go somewhere and then say Oh no I don't want them to go with If you don't want them to go with someone, keep them with you The couples or whatever you're doing In regards to that And just help us out We have hundreds of people here today And realize that it's very difficult to pair This many people So it's going to take a little bit of time Just have some patience And please do me a favor Don't argue with your captain They're going to try to do their best But just realize When you've got this many people There's no way they can take requests Just be easy going And help us with that We would appreciate that Last year we had a record breaking attendance For our soul winners And last year we had 254 In our soul winning time That went for the Red Hot Preaching Conference Let me just ask real quickly Does anybody know of any other soul winning event That had more than 254 That was our record last year I think that was the new IFB record But does anybody know of any event That had more than 254 Because we're going to put it in the new IFB record
