WEBVTT

00:00.000 --> 00:29.560
顆血 endlessly

15:59.560 --> 16:06.560
If you guys want to go ahead and find your hymnals, we're going to turn to page 397.

16:06.560 --> 16:14.560
It's page 397, Little as Much When God is in it.

16:14.560 --> 16:20.560
Page 397.

16:20.560 --> 16:34.560
In the harvest field now ripen, there's a work for all to do.

16:34.560 --> 16:42.560
Hark! the voice of God is calling to the harvest calling you.

16:42.560 --> 16:50.560
Little as much when God is in it, labor not for wealth or fame.

16:50.560 --> 16:58.560
There's a crown and you can win it if you'll go in Jesus' name.

16:58.560 --> 17:05.560
Does the place your call to labor seem so small and little known?

17:06.560 --> 17:13.560
It is great if God is in it and he'll not forget his own.

17:13.560 --> 17:21.560
Little as much when God is in it, labor not for wealth or fame.

17:21.560 --> 17:28.560
There's a crown and you can win it if you go in Jesus' name.

17:29.560 --> 17:36.560
Are you laid aside from service, body worn from toil and care?

17:36.560 --> 17:44.560
You can still be in the battle, in the sacred place of prayer.

17:44.560 --> 17:52.560
Little as much when God is in it, labor not for wealth or fame.

17:52.560 --> 17:59.560
There's a crown and you can win it if you'll go in Jesus' name.

17:59.560 --> 18:07.560
When the conflict here is ended and our race on earth is run,

18:07.560 --> 18:15.560
he will say to all the faithful, welcome home my child well done.

18:15.560 --> 18:23.560
Little as much when God is in it, labor not for wealth or fame.

18:23.560 --> 18:31.560
There's a crown and you can win it if you'll go in Jesus' name.

18:45.560 --> 18:50.560
Amen.

18:50.560 --> 18:55.560
Alright, if you want to take your hymnals we're going to turn to page number 230.

18:55.560 --> 19:04.560
Page number 230, heavenly sunlight.

19:04.560 --> 19:08.560
Page number 230.

19:08.560 --> 19:26.560
Walking in sunlight all of my journey over the mountains through the deep veil.

19:26.560 --> 19:35.560
Jesus has said I'll never forsake thee, promise divine that never can fail.

19:35.560 --> 19:45.560
Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight, flooding my soul with glory divine.

19:45.560 --> 19:55.560
Hallelujah, I am rejoicing, singing his praises, Jesus is mine.

19:55.560 --> 20:05.560
Shadows around me, shadows above me, never conceal my savior and God.

20:05.560 --> 20:15.560
He is the light and him is no darkness, ever I'm walking close to his side.

20:15.560 --> 20:25.560
Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight, flooding my soul with glory divine.

20:25.560 --> 20:35.560
Hallelujah, I am rejoicing, singing his praises, Jesus is mine.

20:35.560 --> 20:45.560
In the bright sunlight, ever rejoicing, pressing my way to mansions above,

20:45.560 --> 20:55.560
singing his praises, gladly I'm walking, walking in sunlight, sunlight of love.

20:55.560 --> 21:05.560
Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight, flooding my soul with glory divine.

21:05.560 --> 21:15.560
Hallelujah, I am rejoicing, singing his praises, Jesus is mine.

21:15.560 --> 21:21.560
Alright, excellent singing everybody. At this time we will have our announcements.

21:21.560 --> 21:30.560
Good morning everyone. The verse of the week is John 3 verse 17.

21:30.560 --> 21:36.560
John 3 verse 17. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world,

21:36.560 --> 21:42.560
but that the world through him might be saved. John 3 verse 17.

21:42.560 --> 21:45.560
Service time is 10.30 this morning, 3.30 this afternoon.

21:45.560 --> 21:50.560
Soul winning time will be 1.00 p.m. today and yesterday at 12.30.

21:50.560 --> 21:56.560
Salvation reports so far for April have been 16 and March was 32.

21:56.560 --> 22:01.560
For a total of 69 for the year so far. Attendance is down below.

22:01.560 --> 22:04.560
Currently we're going through a Bible memory challenge.

22:04.560 --> 22:10.560
We have a little less than a month now to memorize and recite 1 Corinthians chapter 13.

22:10.560 --> 22:18.560
Alright, today blessing. Brother Ramon has traveled here to preach for us this morning.

22:18.560 --> 22:20.560
We're really glad to have him from Vancouver.

22:20.560 --> 22:25.560
And it was a great fellowship last night and her soul winning went well yesterday as well.

22:25.560 --> 22:29.560
So just great to have you come visit us brother.

22:29.560 --> 22:34.560
May 2nd will be the ladies fellowship for Mother's Day.

22:34.560 --> 22:39.560
And just please let Miss Kylie know she's planning the food activity for Mother's Day.

22:39.560 --> 22:43.560
She's planning the food activities and it will be right after soul winning.

22:43.560 --> 22:47.560
I apologize, is that next? Is it very next week?

22:47.560 --> 22:49.560
Week after next.

22:49.560 --> 22:55.560
So coming up, but just to remind all the other men, Mother's Day is coming up.

22:55.560 --> 22:59.560
So it is next week.

22:59.560 --> 23:02.560
What about the scene at the EU, brother?

23:02.560 --> 23:07.560
Souls first, alright. We are a soul winning first church, alright.

23:07.560 --> 23:11.560
Keep focused on the prize. Thank you ladies.

23:11.560 --> 23:18.560
Now, week after next is May 8th, which will be the soul winning marathon.

23:18.560 --> 23:20.560
That's the CWU.

23:20.560 --> 23:24.560
That's in Ellensburg and it's going to be a start time of 10.45.

23:24.560 --> 23:29.560
And I didn't look up the travel, but I do believe it's like two and a half hours or so from here.

23:29.560 --> 23:33.560
Pending how much further you live in each direction.

23:33.560 --> 23:37.560
But just something to plan for if you want to join out there.

23:37.560 --> 23:41.560
And if you are going, please let brother Remy know just so he can organize.

23:41.560 --> 23:49.560
So I know Western State was very receptive, so hopefully Eastern State is as well.

23:49.560 --> 23:55.560
Coming up, just right after that, and that will be a Friday.

23:55.560 --> 24:00.560
Just remember, like when we do soul winning trips, a lot of times it's Saturday, but because it's a college,

24:00.560 --> 24:05.560
we don't want to go there on the weekend because, you know, hey, the workers there need to be saved too,

24:05.560 --> 24:08.560
but let's try to actually find when the people are there.

24:08.560 --> 24:11.560
So that is a Friday, just to remember.

24:11.560 --> 24:15.560
May 10th is Mother's Day.

24:15.560 --> 24:17.560
And go ahead and invite guests to come.

24:17.560 --> 24:21.560
We're going to have a special service message for that day.

24:21.560 --> 24:26.560
So just go out and try to invite people specifically for that service.

24:26.560 --> 24:33.560
Kids, your memory verse for these next couple weeks is John 15 verse 2.

24:33.560 --> 24:35.560
John 15 verse 2.

24:35.560 --> 24:40.560
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

24:40.560 --> 24:46.560
And if you can recite that to Miss Kylie, you will receive the reward of a piece of candy.

24:46.560 --> 24:49.560
So kids, that's your memory verse for this time.

24:49.560 --> 24:52.560
Rules are all familiar.

24:52.560 --> 24:56.560
Everyone here comes from sister churches, all relatively the same.

24:56.560 --> 25:00.560
And then donation information is down below.

25:00.560 --> 25:04.560
We have no more birthdays this month or anniversaries.

25:04.560 --> 25:11.560
If you have any other prayer requests, please just let the Thompson's know and they will add it to the prayer request.

25:11.560 --> 25:12.560
But with that, let's join.

25:22.560 --> 25:24.560
Thank you.

25:52.560 --> 25:54.560
Thank you.

26:22.560 --> 26:34.560
All right.

26:34.560 --> 26:41.560
If you want to take your Bibles or your Psalm books and turn to Psalm 139.

26:41.560 --> 26:43.560
That's Psalm 139.

26:43.560 --> 26:49.560
And if you don't have a Psalm book in front of you and you would like one, I have a couple up here that I can hand out.

26:49.560 --> 26:57.560
Psalm 139.

26:57.560 --> 27:06.560
Psalm 139 beginning in verse number 19.

27:06.560 --> 27:09.560
We will sing it out on the first.

27:09.560 --> 27:15.560
Surely thou will slay the wicked.

27:15.560 --> 27:21.560
Surely thou will slay the wicked, O God.

27:21.560 --> 27:27.560
Depart from me, therefore ye bloody men.

27:27.560 --> 27:32.560
Depart from me, therefore ye bloody men.

27:32.560 --> 27:38.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

27:38.560 --> 27:43.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

27:43.560 --> 27:49.560
And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee.

27:49.560 --> 27:54.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

27:54.560 --> 28:00.560
For they speak against thee wickedly.

28:00.560 --> 28:06.560
For they speak against thee wickedly.

28:06.560 --> 28:12.560
And thine enemies take thy name in vain.

28:12.560 --> 28:17.560
And thine enemies take thy name in vain.

28:17.560 --> 28:23.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

28:23.560 --> 28:28.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

28:28.560 --> 28:34.560
And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee.

28:34.560 --> 28:40.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

28:40.560 --> 28:46.560
I hate them with perfect hatred.

28:46.560 --> 28:52.560
I hate them with perfect hatred.

28:52.560 --> 28:58.560
I count them mine enemies.

28:58.560 --> 29:03.560
I count them mine enemies.

29:03.560 --> 29:08.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

29:08.560 --> 29:14.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

29:14.560 --> 29:20.560
And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee.

29:20.560 --> 29:25.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

29:26.560 --> 29:33.560
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee.

29:33.560 --> 29:35.560
Alright, excellent singing everybody.

29:35.560 --> 29:37.560
With apology please, pray for the offering.

29:37.560 --> 29:39.560
Amen.

30:07.560 --> 30:30.560
Welcome everybody to Shur Foundation Baptist Church.

30:30.560 --> 30:35.560
If you could go ahead and take your Bibles and turn to the book of Jude.

30:35.560 --> 30:41.560
The book of Jude will be our chapter this morning.

30:41.560 --> 30:46.560
And as always here at our church we read the entire chapter before the preaching.

30:46.560 --> 30:50.560
Jude, starting in verse 1, the Bible reads,

30:50.560 --> 30:55.560
Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James,

30:55.560 --> 31:02.560
to them that are sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus Christ and called,

31:02.560 --> 31:07.560
mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied, beloved.

31:07.560 --> 31:11.560
When I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation,

31:11.560 --> 31:18.560
it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith

31:18.560 --> 31:21.560
which was once delivered unto the saints.

31:21.560 --> 31:28.560
For there are certain men crept in unawares who were before of old ordained to this condemnation,

31:28.560 --> 31:38.560
ungodly men turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

31:38.560 --> 31:42.560
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this,

31:42.560 --> 31:50.560
how that the Lord having saved the people out of the land of Egypt afterward destroyed them that believed not.

31:50.560 --> 31:56.560
And the angels, which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation,

31:56.560 --> 32:03.560
he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

32:03.560 --> 32:08.560
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner,

32:08.560 --> 32:13.560
giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh,

32:13.560 --> 32:18.560
are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

32:18.560 --> 32:26.560
Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

32:26.560 --> 32:32.560
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses,

32:32.560 --> 32:39.560
durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

32:39.560 --> 32:43.560
But these speak evil of those things which they know not,

32:43.560 --> 32:49.560
but what things they know naturally as brute beasts, and those things they corrupt themselves,

32:49.560 --> 32:57.560
woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward,

32:57.560 --> 33:00.560
and perished in the gainsaying of Cory.

33:00.560 --> 33:07.560
These are spots in your feast of charity when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear,

33:07.560 --> 33:13.560
clouds they are without water, carried about of winds, trees whose fruit withereth,

33:13.560 --> 33:19.560
without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots, raging waves of the sea,

33:19.560 --> 33:26.560
foaming out their own shame, wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

33:26.560 --> 33:32.560
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,

33:32.560 --> 33:39.560
Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all,

33:39.560 --> 33:47.560
and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed,

33:47.560 --> 33:54.560
and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

33:54.560 --> 33:59.560
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts,

33:59.560 --> 34:07.560
and their mouths speaketh great swelling words, having men's person in admiration because of advantage.

34:07.560 --> 34:15.560
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

34:15.560 --> 34:23.560
how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

34:23.560 --> 34:29.560
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

34:29.560 --> 34:36.560
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

34:36.560 --> 34:44.560
keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life,

34:44.560 --> 34:50.560
and of some having compassion making a difference, and of others, save with fear,

34:50.560 --> 34:55.560
pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

34:55.560 --> 35:03.560
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory,

35:03.560 --> 35:16.560
with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

35:16.560 --> 35:19.560
Brother Remy, could you pray for the service?

35:19.560 --> 35:38.560
Amen.

35:38.560 --> 35:44.560
Amen. Well, it is an honor to be invited over here to see all the brethren in Spokane,

35:44.560 --> 35:48.560
and even somebody I met over in Idaho, I think it was, right? Idaho.

35:48.560 --> 35:52.560
And the family here visiting, that's really cool.

35:52.560 --> 35:58.560
We really miss Brother Remy. I know I want to thank Pastor, obviously, too, for giving us men an opportunity to preach.

35:58.560 --> 36:02.560
You know, we don't take it lightly. I know all you men that preach probably feel the same way.

36:02.560 --> 36:08.560
We miss him. A very faithful man, very faithful family that we love very much.

36:08.560 --> 36:16.560
And I know Pastor misses you all as well. But good to be here. You're there in Jude chapter 1.

36:16.560 --> 36:20.560
Well, it's the only chapter, but look at verse 1. It says,

36:20.560 --> 36:26.560
Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father,

36:26.560 --> 36:32.560
and preserved in Jesus Christ and called, Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied.

36:32.560 --> 36:36.560
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you the commons of the common salvation,

36:36.560 --> 36:41.560
it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith

36:41.560 --> 36:46.560
which was once delivered unto the saints. And the title of my sermon is,

36:46.560 --> 36:51.560
Contend for the Faith, KJV Only. Contend for the Faith, KJV Only. Let's pray.

36:51.560 --> 36:54.560
Heavenly Father, I thank you, Lord, for this great church here, Lord.

36:54.560 --> 36:58.560
I pray that you bless it and bless all the members and visitors as well, Lord,

36:58.560 --> 37:04.560
and just help this church to grow in you and just get out there and preach the gospel to the lost in this area.

37:04.560 --> 37:07.560
I pray that you fill me with your spirit and help me to preach this message you put on my heart.

37:07.560 --> 37:09.560
In Jesus' name, Amen. Amen.

37:09.560 --> 37:13.560
So I know this verse isn't necessarily talking about biblical preservation,

37:13.560 --> 37:20.560
but I still liked it because, you know, for one, I think it is a topic we really do need to contend for the faith on.

37:20.560 --> 37:26.560
I think we could kind of get in a little bit of a, you know, our own echo chamber where we understand that, like,

37:26.560 --> 37:29.560
we're KJV only, right? Like, we don't think too much about it.

37:29.560 --> 37:34.560
When you get out into the world, though, you see that people, they scoff at this idea.

37:34.560 --> 37:37.560
They're really resistant to this idea. They think we're weird.

37:37.560 --> 37:42.560
They think that it's even cultish or that, like, you know, we're just a bunch of weirdos.

37:42.560 --> 37:46.560
They make you feel that way. And it boggles my mind.

37:47.560 --> 37:54.560
It boggles my mind that we could believe in a God that wouldn't be powerful enough to preserve his word.

37:54.560 --> 37:58.560
And, you know, in this verse, it says we're preserved in Jesus Christ, right?

37:58.560 --> 38:00.560
So we're preserved in Jesus Christ.

38:00.560 --> 38:03.560
And the Bible says in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

38:03.560 --> 38:07.560
So the Bible is Jesus Christ. The word is Jesus Christ.

38:07.560 --> 38:12.560
We're preserved in him. We need it to get saved. We need it for everything that we do.

38:12.560 --> 38:15.560
Why would he not preserve it? It makes zero sense.

38:15.560 --> 38:17.560
And, you know, it makes me mad.

38:17.560 --> 38:20.560
But it was a topic that I was ignorant to.

38:20.560 --> 38:22.560
When I first got saved, I had no idea about it.

38:22.560 --> 38:28.560
Actually, I brought it up many times, and Bobby is the one who brought up the idea of KJV only to me.

38:28.560 --> 38:33.560
I had no idea, and I was actually a little bit like, I wasn't resistant to it because I was thinking,

38:33.560 --> 38:37.560
I better look into this, because these things were coming to my mind, how when I first was seeking God,

38:37.560 --> 38:42.560
I went to a Christian bookstore to buy a Bible, and I was blown away by all the different versions.

38:42.560 --> 38:48.560
And I'm like, I didn't even buy one. I walked in, and I'm like, dude, I went and asked the pastor, air quotes,

38:48.560 --> 38:50.560
because you find that out later.

38:50.560 --> 38:55.560
But I was like, why are there so many versions of the Bible? I thought there was one Bible.

38:55.560 --> 38:57.560
I literally thought there was one Bible.

38:57.560 --> 39:02.560
We had a KJV Bible in our house, and I didn't understand it, so I didn't read it very much.

39:02.560 --> 39:07.560
I was just like anybody else, you kind of get through Genesis, and then you're like, er, er.

39:07.560 --> 39:09.560
You know, like, you just stop.

39:10.560 --> 39:15.560
But his answer was just really, I didn't like, so it didn't sit well with me.

39:15.560 --> 39:19.560
So when she brought it up, I was just like, it kind of came out of nowhere,

39:19.560 --> 39:24.560
because she just kind of hammered me with what was wrong with this church all of a sudden.

39:24.560 --> 39:28.560
So it was just like all of a sudden, she couldn't take it anymore.

39:28.560 --> 39:33.560
And then she gave me this, she taught me, showed me about that, so I was a little kind of like,

39:33.560 --> 39:37.560
she's teaching me, I was just like a little prideful.

39:37.560 --> 39:40.560
You know, I'm like, oh man, she's showing me up here.

39:40.560 --> 39:44.560
But then I looked into it, I'm like, wow, like, there's a lot to this.

39:44.560 --> 39:47.560
And then it just made sense, all of it made sense.

39:47.560 --> 39:50.560
But so many people do not believe it.

39:50.560 --> 39:56.560
And you know, we should never be ashamed, we should never back down on this KJV-only stance.

39:56.560 --> 40:00.560
And it's really, I think, one of the most important doctrines out there.

40:00.560 --> 40:04.560
I mean, we speak English, we should be KJV-only.

40:04.560 --> 40:10.560
And the critics, they say, they do give lip service to the Bible being infallible and inspired,

40:10.560 --> 40:13.560
but it's only in the originals, right?

40:13.560 --> 40:15.560
So only the originals.

40:15.560 --> 40:19.560
God wasn't powerful enough to be able to, even though He made language,

40:19.560 --> 40:26.560
make sure that it got translated correctly or whatever for the people that needed it.

40:26.560 --> 40:28.560
It's ridiculous to me.

40:28.560 --> 40:34.560
It just flies against all the, so many Bible verses, it's not even funny.

40:34.560 --> 40:40.560
And you ask them, what are your verses to support this idea that God would just lose His Word?

40:40.560 --> 40:42.560
There isn't any.

40:42.560 --> 40:46.560
There isn't any verses that would be able to say, well, hey, you know,

40:46.560 --> 40:52.560
trust in man's wisdom over God because he might lose this or this might not be preserved.

40:52.560 --> 40:55.560
It's actually exactly the opposite.

40:55.560 --> 41:00.560
And, you know, they'll tell you that the KJVs also underwent revisions

41:00.560 --> 41:03.560
or that it has an archaic language, right?

41:03.560 --> 41:10.560
It hinders modern, stupid people who don't speak English well from being able to understand it.

41:10.560 --> 41:15.560
And I shouldn't say stupid people, but, you know, children can understand the Bible in our churches,

41:15.560 --> 41:20.560
so it makes no sense to say that just because society is trying to dumb down the English language,

41:20.560 --> 41:22.560
that we should also follow suit.

41:22.560 --> 41:27.560
And really they've been saying it since the Bible was around anyway, you know,

41:27.560 --> 41:31.560
because back in the day people were going to work in fields and people weren't necessarily going to school

41:31.560 --> 41:36.560
and they had to learn in different ways and the Bible was a way for people to actually get smart,

41:36.560 --> 41:39.560
you know, to study and learn the English language.

41:39.560 --> 41:40.560
And it's a beautiful book.

41:40.560 --> 41:42.560
It's a beautiful, accurate translation.

41:42.560 --> 41:47.560
And we know that, you know, so hopefully this doesn't turn too much into a lecture about that

41:47.560 --> 41:52.560
because I'm not trying to preach the preserved Bible or the New World Order Bible versions

41:52.560 --> 41:55.560
of these great documentaries that have been put out,

41:55.560 --> 42:01.560
but I do think that it's something that we should study up on and be able to give an answer to people

42:01.560 --> 42:07.560
why we believe so strongly that, you know, you should, if you speak English,

42:07.560 --> 42:10.560
you should only read the King James Bible, you know.

42:10.560 --> 42:14.560
And they say, oh, you create unnecessary division.

42:14.560 --> 42:19.560
Well, Jesus said, suppose that I have come to get peace on earth, I tell you, nay, but rather division.

42:19.560 --> 42:22.560
And this is a topic where you should be divided on.

42:22.560 --> 42:27.560
You shouldn't just accept it, you know, and really I had to, you know, tell my dad in a hard way

42:27.560 --> 42:31.560
and don't worry, he won't watch this sermon so it won't turn into like some cringe thing.

42:31.560 --> 42:37.560
But, you know, he gave all the family these new NIV, you know, study Bibles on top of,

42:37.560 --> 42:40.560
on top of being NIV, but it's also a study Bible.

42:40.560 --> 42:44.560
So you got to get some heretic telling you how to interpret it on top of that.

42:44.560 --> 42:46.560
And he gave it to all the kids.

42:46.560 --> 42:48.560
He gave it to all the family.

42:48.560 --> 42:51.560
He just bought this massive, you know, like stockpiled of them

42:51.560 --> 42:54.560
and just handed them out for Christmas or something like that.

42:54.560 --> 42:57.560
And I had to tell him I'm not giving those out, you know.

42:57.560 --> 43:01.560
I had to tell people, you should throw that away, you know, like, and I had tried to tell him.

43:01.560 --> 43:07.560
And, you know, this is where the understanding of why we believe what we do, you know,

43:07.560 --> 43:13.560
and just having charity and being able to do it without getting too upset is probably helpful, you know.

43:13.560 --> 43:18.560
Sometimes, you know, it's hard to speak to somebody like your dad when he's, you know, raised you.

43:18.560 --> 43:24.560
And, you know, it's like it's hard to even come at him and if he disagrees with you to kind of get through to him.

43:24.560 --> 43:27.560
But it sort of came to a head for me there.

43:27.560 --> 43:35.560
But it's ridiculous to think that if Jesus Christ is the Word of God, that God would have lost his son.

43:35.560 --> 43:41.560
You know, like, it makes no sense, you know, like, I know you've all been, people have been to Disneyland before.

43:41.560 --> 43:47.560
It's like, yeah, sorry, you know, God, you know, God, detention God, you left Jesus in Toontown or something.

43:47.560 --> 43:52.560
It's like, it's like God, just because I lose my keys every time I drive almost

43:52.560 --> 43:58.560
and I have to ask my wife where they are and she could attest to that doesn't mean God is like me, right.

43:58.560 --> 44:01.560
This is where people think God is like us.

44:01.560 --> 44:09.560
God is like, it's just this ridiculous line of thinking that, you know, it's a humanist type of an approach where, you know,

44:09.560 --> 44:15.560
they try to ascribe with like God to being like us or something or you just want a God in their own image.

44:15.560 --> 44:22.560
But, you know, thousands of time in the Bible, it testifies to the authority of his words, like, you know, speaking this,

44:22.560 --> 44:29.560
speaking to the spirit of the Lord coming upon the prophet or says the Lord has spoken it, thus say it the Lord, you know,

44:29.560 --> 44:34.560
like even the last book of the Bible says, right, for these words are true and faithful.

44:34.560 --> 44:37.560
And those are two separate things, true and faithful.

44:37.560 --> 44:40.560
And, you know, I'm going to speak to that a little down the road there.

44:40.560 --> 44:44.560
They might go together, but truth and faithfulness are two different things.

44:44.560 --> 44:49.560
The third verse of the Bible says, and God said, let there be light.

44:49.560 --> 44:57.560
And even a lot of Christians, you know, that don't believe in KJV only will believe that God created everything with the words of his mouth.

44:57.560 --> 45:07.560
Right. They'll believe that he did, you know, made the incredible like diversity that we see and all the complexity that they're finding out more and more by through through actual science that,

45:07.560 --> 45:09.560
well, this is looking a little sketchy for Big Bang.

45:09.560 --> 45:12.560
Right. They will believe that.

45:12.560 --> 45:16.560
But but they just get stuck on this idea that God could preserve his word.

45:16.560 --> 45:19.560
You know, it doesn't make any sense.

45:19.560 --> 45:23.560
And, you know, I got the idea to preach this.

45:24.560 --> 45:33.560
You know, I probably have too many notes, but it pastor Oz, he had recommended a book called Pure Words or something on his Facebook.

45:33.560 --> 45:36.560
And so I was like, you know, I'm going to study a little bit more into this.

45:36.560 --> 45:39.560
I've only got about a quarter of the way through the book, but it's a good book.

45:39.560 --> 45:46.560
It's a good book that does give you a lot of details that you might not have or maybe that weren't even in that documentary.

45:46.560 --> 45:52.560
But, you know, I'm going to just give some of the things in there that I thought were very interesting.

45:52.560 --> 45:55.560
And you all might know some of this stuff, too, already.

45:55.560 --> 45:58.560
Anyone that like maybe you're not like me.

45:58.560 --> 46:07.560
I mean, I once I once I learned about the King James only stance and got enough information to say, OK, I believe that, you know, I didn't do too much more.

46:07.560 --> 46:09.560
You know, I'm just like, OK, I believe that move on.

46:09.560 --> 46:11.560
It's like, you know, let's preach the gospel.

46:11.560 --> 46:12.560
Let's do certain things.

46:12.560 --> 46:15.560
So I didn't like I don't know some of these details.

46:15.560 --> 46:18.560
And again, I don't want to turn this into where I'm just giving you all this.

46:19.560 --> 46:24.560
But like basically like there was this rise of higher criticism against the received text.

46:24.560 --> 46:32.560
And, you know, it had stood uncontested and preserved like the Bible says it would be, you know, for almost like 1900 years.

46:32.560 --> 46:39.560
And, you know, high criticism, rationalism, spiritual humanism arose out of Europe and infiltrated Great Britain.

46:39.560 --> 46:41.560
You know, and humanism is just this idea.

46:41.560 --> 46:46.560
It's this philosophical and supposedly ethical stance that places humans above God.

46:46.560 --> 46:56.560
Essentially, it says that we have the ability to figure things out ourselves through science, through revelation, through, you know, whatever, just deciding what is best for society.

46:56.560 --> 47:13.560
So instead of thus say it, the Lord, it's the thus say it, Brother Travis, thus say it, you know, Brother Jason, you know, thus says, you know, whoever just insert, you know, and if you disagree with one another, then collectively, you know, we could figure out what's best for society.

47:13.560 --> 47:26.560
But what happens is that morality becomes fluid, you know, it becomes changing with the times, you know, if maybe this generation thought something was good, you know, and now they think it's bad or the other way around, then we just we just mold with the time.

47:26.560 --> 47:29.560
So instead of I am the Lord, I change not.

47:29.560 --> 47:31.560
It's like you could just change to whatever you want.

47:31.560 --> 47:33.560
You could be blown with every wind of doctrine.

47:33.560 --> 47:40.560
You just create a God that is in your own eyes because they say they don't like necessarily aren't against God.

47:40.560 --> 47:42.560
But as long as it's a God in their own image, that's a God.

47:42.560 --> 47:44.560
That's essentially what it boils down to.

47:44.560 --> 47:50.560
They'll believe that you can believe in a God as long as the God we all agree with, you know.

47:50.560 --> 47:56.560
And so sadly, a lot of Christians have turned into humanists basically because that's exactly what they do.

47:56.560 --> 47:59.560
And what they don't understand is these Bibles.

47:59.560 --> 48:01.560
They that's what that's what they do.

48:01.560 --> 48:07.560
They allow room for too much interpretation, too much difference, too much contradiction.

48:07.560 --> 48:17.560
And they'll give humanists like we'll say that, you know, you should base things off of what human beings can figure out, what we can find through the revelation and this and that.

48:17.560 --> 48:19.560
But it's a total lie anyways.

48:19.560 --> 48:27.560
They're total hypocrites because anyone who would believe the Big Bang theory and think that that is actual science, it's not been proven.

48:27.560 --> 48:29.560
It takes more faith, I think, than what we believe.

48:29.560 --> 48:31.560
You know, Jesus Christ was here on this earth.

48:31.560 --> 48:33.560
We're in 2026 because of him.

48:33.560 --> 48:41.560
You know, hundreds of witnesses, you know, but yet this is something that completely contradicts all of science that everything came from nothing.

48:41.560 --> 48:43.560
They readily believe that.

48:43.560 --> 48:46.560
Yet supposedly they believe in just the facts.

48:46.560 --> 48:47.560
It's garbage.

48:47.560 --> 48:48.560
They don't believe in the facts.

48:48.560 --> 48:51.560
They don't do what's best for society as a whole.

48:51.560 --> 48:56.560
I mean, it's there's just tons of things that that are against all of that, you know.

48:56.560 --> 49:00.560
And so there was this German scholar, Konstantin von Tiskindorf.

49:00.560 --> 49:04.560
So he actually began a quest to find old manuscripts of the Bible.

49:04.560 --> 49:06.560
And that was his ambition.

49:06.560 --> 49:09.560
That was his whole goal was to find these manuscripts, you know.

49:09.560 --> 49:26.560
And, you know, if you're against the Bible because he ascribed to these philosophies that I brought forth there, you know, and was against the Bible, against, you know, like they start questioning things about, you know, the miracles or, you know, the prophecies or, you know, just the very validity of God's word.

49:26.560 --> 49:28.560
You know, they're questioned all those things.

49:28.560 --> 49:31.560
And he had a quest to find these manuscripts.

49:31.560 --> 49:34.560
So, you know, and you all know some of this story, too.

49:34.560 --> 49:36.560
I would say most of you probably do.

49:36.560 --> 49:38.560
But he was against the Bible.

49:38.560 --> 49:41.560
And the very intent of his work was flawed.

49:41.560 --> 49:47.560
He was convinced all believers needed to abandon what had been passed down for generations as the word of God.

49:47.560 --> 49:58.560
And so in 1844, he discovered 129 loose leaves of a Greek translation of the Old Testament in St. Catherine's monastery at Mount Sinai that he believed dated back to the mid-fourth century.

49:58.560 --> 50:05.560
So he recounted in his writings, and tell me if this doesn't sound like the biggest load of crap that you've ever heard, but it says,

50:17.560 --> 50:46.560
So it doesn't take a brain surgeon to even read that and realize, like, if these monks were, like, you know, going to roast some marshmallows with it or something, it's like, this wasn't, they didn't think this was the word of God.

50:46.560 --> 50:50.560
You know, they're burning it. It was destined for the fire.

50:50.560 --> 50:54.560
Does that sound like something that has been preserved?

50:54.560 --> 50:59.560
I mean, I am sure the Baptists were just going nuts at this time.

50:59.560 --> 51:01.560
You know, like, the heretic.

51:01.560 --> 51:07.560
I mean, I'm sure that they didn't just get turned on this, but I'm sure some did because there is nothing new under the sun.

51:07.560 --> 51:11.560
And Baptists nowadays are allowing these other versions in.

51:11.560 --> 51:20.560
You know, they'll maybe from the pulpit only preach the King James, but they'll allow, and say, no big deal if you have another version in the Bible here.

51:20.560 --> 51:32.560
And so these stories, they changed too, and they really should have caused the actual God-fearing person to just toss this stuff in the fire too, like the monks were doing.

51:32.560 --> 51:39.560
But it says of the 129 leaves, like, he ended up securing like 43 of them with a promise that the rest wouldn't be burned.

51:39.560 --> 51:41.560
So he ended up leaving.

51:41.560 --> 51:56.560
And however, in 1853 when he returned, which was nine years later from when he originally went there, he learned that the remaining leaves had since been basically misplaced and assumed to have been destroyed.

51:56.560 --> 52:00.560
So they told him that they'd keep the rest for him, but they still destroyed it.

52:01.560 --> 52:05.560
I mean, it shows you what they actually really thought of what they had there.

52:05.560 --> 52:19.560
So then he returned six years later in 1859 with the support of the Russian Tsar, who was like considered the political protector of the Eastern Orthodox Church, which we know is heretical, to find the rest of anything that he could.

52:19.560 --> 52:23.560
So he went to try to, on a salvage mission, see if there was anything there.

52:23.560 --> 52:25.560
And check this out.

52:25.560 --> 52:26.560
Check this out.

52:26.560 --> 52:37.560
To his amazement, he was shown not only the missing portion of the Old Testament, but also a further 112 leaves of the Old Testament and a completed New Testament.

52:37.560 --> 52:46.560
So it went from everything got destroyed to all of a sudden he goes back and then there's all these, there's a whole new testament, 112 other leaves here.

52:46.560 --> 52:52.560
So Tiskendorf imagined that this to be an act of divine intervention, though obviously it wasn't.

52:52.560 --> 53:06.560
So starting from when he stumbled across a portion of these manuscripts 15 years prior, just before they're being destroyed, and then now all of a sudden they have all kinds of Bible, all kinds of supposedly Old Bible.

53:06.560 --> 53:12.560
And so their whole premise is that all these things are older so that older must be better.

53:12.560 --> 53:17.560
And we don't need to flush that out to know that that's just a stupid way to think.

53:17.560 --> 53:22.560
That doesn't make any sense just because it's older wouldn't mean that it would actually be true.

53:22.560 --> 53:23.560
Right.

53:23.560 --> 53:25.560
You know, but this Tiskendorf.

53:25.560 --> 53:41.560
So they're even at that time, not much after that time, somebody came forward, a guy, Seminodes, Constantine Seminodes, and he published a letter in the newspaper claiming that he personally had wrote some of these manuscripts that they supposedly found.

53:41.560 --> 53:44.560
And really, that's probably a time when the news wasn't as corrupt as it is now.

53:44.560 --> 53:46.560
So I mean, maybe it was it was true.

53:46.560 --> 53:48.560
But either way, we know it was a fraud.

53:48.560 --> 53:49.560
Right.

53:49.560 --> 53:53.560
We know because we know through the Bible, we don't like need some of these stories necessarily.

53:53.560 --> 53:57.560
But I think for some people, those stories are good to know.

53:57.560 --> 54:10.560
And, you know, even if this guy wasn't was making that up because apparently this guy was like a really renowned forger and had got out outed for what he was doing by this Tiskendorf guy.

54:10.560 --> 54:12.560
So, yeah, maybe they did have a beef.

54:12.560 --> 54:15.560
But there was other discrepancies like the color disc.

54:15.560 --> 54:18.560
There's color discrepancies in the leaves of the parchment.

54:18.560 --> 54:22.560
The quality of them was a little too fresh and supple to be like 1600 years old.

54:22.560 --> 54:23.560
Right.

54:23.560 --> 54:36.560
Not to mention, like, why would they just have it like very, very like preserved really like as it would be preserved if they found the whole New Testament and they found all these different leaves.

54:36.560 --> 54:41.560
I mean, is it really not how that you know how the Bible had been handed down in the past?

54:41.560 --> 54:45.560
So it really like it doesn't make sense anyway.

54:45.560 --> 54:50.560
It was it was it should have just been in the trash like they were like the monks were going to do.

54:50.560 --> 55:00.560
Then you have the codec codex Vaticanus, which we know that sounds too much like the Vatican because it is it's like the Vatican in Rome, which is the epicenter of the Catholic Church.

55:00.560 --> 55:03.560
And they found one tucked away in some secretive library.

55:03.560 --> 55:04.560
Right.

55:04.560 --> 55:13.560
And, you know, they said a lot of it probably originated from Egypt, which, you know, we know what the Bible says about Egypt and a lot of false doctrine comes out of Egypt.

55:13.560 --> 55:22.560
So and even these two codex disagree in thousands of places with with not only the vast majority of the Greek manuscripts, but they disagree with one another.

55:22.560 --> 55:23.560
Right.

55:23.560 --> 55:33.560
So there's even biblical principles that are just you have to throw in the trash to believe this to like Jude one three saying, you know, for one, the word was delivered to the saints.

55:33.560 --> 55:36.560
Because a lot of these people were not saved.

55:36.560 --> 55:45.560
Some of them even claim to be atheists or, you know, if they disagree with one another, Amos three, three says can two walk together except they be agreed.

55:45.560 --> 55:46.560
Right.

55:46.560 --> 55:50.560
So there's like, again, biblical principles that you have to throw in the trash.

55:50.560 --> 56:00.560
And there's no historical evidence that shows that Sinai Atticus or the Vaticanus were ever used in any church anywhere in the world before the 19th century.

56:00.560 --> 56:02.560
That's not preservation.

56:02.560 --> 56:11.560
I mean, that that is we should we should just be encouraged that we know that we have a Bible that we could believe in and rely on.

56:11.560 --> 56:13.560
It's the words of God.

56:13.560 --> 56:23.560
He was strong enough and able enough to keep them preserved and translated accurately exactly to the original text.

56:23.560 --> 56:26.560
We can have accurate translation of that.

56:26.560 --> 56:28.560
And again, there's there's tons of good sermons on that.

56:28.560 --> 56:33.560
You know, I don't want to beat that too much, but it's it's ridiculous.

56:33.560 --> 56:34.560
Turn to Psalm 138.

56:37.560 --> 56:40.560
Job even said, Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean thing?

56:40.560 --> 56:41.560
Not one.

56:41.560 --> 56:45.560
So you don't tell me you bring something destined for the fire and for the trash.

56:45.560 --> 56:47.560
And then that's the you know, that's the word of God.

56:47.560 --> 56:57.560
You know, when the Bible just puts such an emphasis on the word of God, just on the authority of it and just on its just it just places it in such high.

56:57.560 --> 57:00.560
And people will say we're straining at Nats.

57:00.560 --> 57:02.560
We're a cult for believing this.

57:02.560 --> 57:04.560
You know, people don't even know what a cult is.

57:04.560 --> 57:07.560
Show me why we're a cult with some Bible.

57:07.560 --> 57:11.560
Show me with the Bible, because I'll show you we are not a cult with the Bible.

57:11.560 --> 57:13.560
You know, it's like it.

57:13.560 --> 57:24.560
People just love to throw that out there because they look at stuff stuff up online and they see certain controversies and things like that, which all kinds of controversies and conspiracies are all in throughout the Bible.

57:25.560 --> 57:27.560
So it's not it's nothing new under the sun.

57:27.560 --> 57:34.560
You know, we're just living it out and we you know, but they don't know what a cult actually is, you know.

57:37.560 --> 57:38.560
Philippians 2 9.

57:38.560 --> 57:46.560
I'm going to read that to wherefore God hath also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name.

57:46.560 --> 57:48.560
So Jesus name is above every name.

57:48.560 --> 57:51.560
And again, I already said John 1 1.

57:51.560 --> 57:51.560

57:51.560 --> 57:52.560
Jesus is the word.

57:52.560 --> 57:53.560
Right.

57:53.560 --> 57:54.560
And his name is above every name.

57:54.560 --> 58:02.560
Again, this emphasis on just the word of God in general is is all throughout the Bible.

58:02.560 --> 58:04.560
I mean, you can't miss it.

58:04.560 --> 58:05.560
Something 138.

58:05.560 --> 58:06.560
Look at verse two.

58:06.560 --> 58:14.560
It says I will worship toward thy holy temple and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth.

58:14.560 --> 58:18.560
For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

58:18.560 --> 58:20.560
So the word of God is magnified.

58:20.560 --> 58:21.560
Right.

58:21.560 --> 58:26.560
And I want to let you know just to give you some contrast what some verses the NIV says.

58:26.560 --> 58:28.560
And I know this happens every now and then in sermon.

58:28.560 --> 58:30.560
So you probably know some of these.

58:30.560 --> 58:32.560
But you know, sometimes you forget.

58:32.560 --> 58:34.560
But these are good examples.

58:34.560 --> 58:40.560
You should have examples to to point out to people how the word of God is being twisted or turned.

58:40.560 --> 58:43.560
But here's what it says in the NIV.

58:43.560 --> 58:49.560
I will not bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness for you.

58:49.560 --> 58:54.560
Have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

58:54.560 --> 59:01.560
Is that anything like the verse I read where it says it it says truth.

59:01.560 --> 59:02.560
Right.

59:02.560 --> 59:06.560
And then it says magnify that word instead of exalted your solemn decree.

59:06.560 --> 59:07.560
What does that even mean?

59:07.560 --> 59:13.560
Exalted your faithfulness is about like loyalty and commitment and steadfast steadfastness.

59:13.560 --> 59:15.560
Truth is about accuracy.

59:15.560 --> 59:18.560
Reality and it corresponds to the facts.

59:18.560 --> 59:19.560
You know, they're not the same thing.

59:19.560 --> 59:21.560
But even though they can be interconnected.

59:21.560 --> 59:22.560
Right.

59:21.560 --> 59:24.560
But you could be faithful to something that's not true.

59:24.560 --> 59:25.560
Right.

59:25.560 --> 59:27.560
But God is about truth.

59:27.560 --> 59:28.560
Right.

59:28.560 --> 59:29.560
And yes, God is faithful.

59:29.560 --> 59:31.560
But God is faithful to truth.

59:31.560 --> 59:33.560
Not to his solemn decree.

59:33.560 --> 59:34.560
Right.

59:33.560 --> 59:36.560
Or whatever that stupid NIV says.

59:36.560 --> 59:39.560
Psalm 105 says for the Lord is good.

59:39.560 --> 59:41.560
His mercy is everlasting.

59:41.560 --> 59:43.560
And his truth is the truth.

59:43.560 --> 59:44.560
His mercy is everlasting.

59:44.560 --> 59:48.560
And his truth endureth to all generations.

59:48.560 --> 59:53.560
So his truth, which the Bible is truth, the Bible is God.

59:53.560 --> 59:55.560
It endures for all generations.

59:55.560 --> 59:58.560
That's a that's a verse that says God's going to preserve his word.

59:58.560 --> 01:00:03.560
You know, in false versions, they will attack key doctrines of the Bible.

01:00:03.560 --> 01:00:06.560
So you'll never see somebody with an NIV out there soul winning.

01:00:06.560 --> 01:00:07.560
Right.

01:00:07.560 --> 01:00:08.560
Do you ever see that?

01:00:08.560 --> 01:00:11.560
No, it's it's people with the King James Bible out there soul winning.

01:00:11.560 --> 01:00:12.560
Right.

01:00:12.560 --> 01:00:13.560
And here's why too.

01:00:13.560 --> 01:00:17.560
It's like Proverbs 1130 says the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.

01:00:17.560 --> 01:00:19.560
And he that winneth souls is wise.

01:00:19.560 --> 01:00:20.560
Right.

01:00:20.560 --> 01:00:21.560
This is where you get soul winning from.

01:00:21.560 --> 01:00:22.560
The verse you get soul winning from.

01:00:22.560 --> 01:00:25.560
This is what you know is a core tenet of our churches.

01:00:25.560 --> 01:00:26.560
Right.

01:00:26.560 --> 01:00:27.560
We go out and we win souls.

01:00:27.560 --> 01:00:29.560
We go out and preach the gospel.

01:00:29.560 --> 01:00:30.560
Right.

01:00:30.560 --> 01:00:31.560
You know what the NIV says?

01:00:31.560 --> 01:00:34.560
You guys know what the NIV says on that one?

01:00:34.560 --> 01:00:36.560
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.

01:00:36.560 --> 01:00:41.560
And the one who is wise saves lives.

01:00:41.560 --> 01:00:43.560
It's not the same thing.

01:00:43.560 --> 01:00:45.560
So the doctors wise.

01:00:45.560 --> 01:00:46.560
Right.

01:00:46.560 --> 01:00:48.560
Your life and your soul are two different things.

01:00:48.560 --> 01:00:49.560
Right.

01:00:49.560 --> 01:00:50.560
We know that.

01:00:50.560 --> 01:00:51.560
Right.

01:00:51.560 --> 01:00:52.560
Your life is a different thing than your soul.

01:00:52.560 --> 01:00:56.560
So somebody who you know they maybe they invent something that saves lives.

01:00:56.560 --> 01:00:58.560
That's the same thing as somebody that's winning a soul.

01:00:58.560 --> 01:00:59.560
It's not the same thing.

01:00:59.560 --> 01:01:00.560
Right.

01:01:00.560 --> 01:01:02.560
No wonder they don't go soul winning.

01:01:02.560 --> 01:01:03.560
Right.

01:01:03.560 --> 01:01:07.560
So you got to be ready to contend though for your KJV only stance.

01:01:07.560 --> 01:01:08.560
Right.

01:01:08.560 --> 01:01:09.560
But with charity.

01:01:09.560 --> 01:01:10.560
Right.

01:01:10.560 --> 01:01:13.560
Because they tell us we're stupid for believing.

01:01:13.560 --> 01:01:17.560
Like we're stupid for believing that God would preserve his word.

01:01:17.560 --> 01:01:18.560
Right.

01:01:18.560 --> 01:01:19.560
They do believe that.

01:01:19.560 --> 01:01:20.560
You see it.

01:01:20.560 --> 01:01:24.560
You kind of feel the condescension when you're talking to somebody.

01:01:24.560 --> 01:01:27.560
They're just like really it's really annoying.

01:01:27.560 --> 01:01:31.560
I mean it's hard to kind of but you should try to be charitable with them because they're

01:01:31.560 --> 01:01:35.560
just ignorant like I was when I first started and I bristled a little bit at it at first

01:01:35.560 --> 01:01:36.560
too.

01:01:36.560 --> 01:01:37.560
Right.

01:01:37.560 --> 01:01:40.560
You got to be able to give an answer right to people.

01:01:40.560 --> 01:01:42.560
Turn to Hosea chapter 11.

01:01:42.560 --> 01:01:47.560
So I'll read what I'm going to read what the NIV says in Hosea chapter 11 first.

01:01:51.560 --> 01:01:53.560
Ephraim has surrounded me with lies.

01:01:53.560 --> 01:01:55.560
Israel with deceit.

01:01:55.560 --> 01:02:01.560
And Judah is unruly against God even against the faithful holy one.

01:02:01.560 --> 01:02:06.560
Let's look at what our Bible says.

01:02:06.560 --> 01:02:13.560
Ephraim compasses me about with lies and the house of Israel with deceit.

01:02:13.560 --> 01:02:18.560
But Judah yet ruleeth with God and is faithful with the saints.

01:02:18.560 --> 01:02:21.560
It's exactly the opposite thing.

01:02:21.560 --> 01:02:24.560
This is exactly the opposite thing.

01:02:24.560 --> 01:02:26.560
So you know but nothing to see here.

01:02:26.560 --> 01:02:28.560
You KJV weirdos.

01:02:28.560 --> 01:02:30.560
You know nothing's been changed.

01:02:30.560 --> 01:02:32.560
All the doctrines the same.

01:02:32.560 --> 01:02:34.560
You know they're this it's the same Bible.

01:02:34.560 --> 01:02:36.560
You're just making a mountain out of molehill.

01:02:36.560 --> 01:02:38.560
You know they tell you all these things.

01:02:38.560 --> 01:02:43.560
But the problem is is if you believe two contradictory things then you believe a lie.

01:02:43.560 --> 01:02:44.560
Right.

01:02:44.560 --> 01:02:45.560
That's what cognitive dissonance is.

01:02:45.560 --> 01:02:47.560
We always hear that fancy word.

01:02:47.560 --> 01:02:49.560
Those two words throw you know.

01:02:49.560 --> 01:02:50.560
But that's what it is.

01:02:50.560 --> 01:02:54.560
It's when you believe two opposing things to be true and they can't be true.

01:02:54.560 --> 01:02:58.560
And there's tons of those examples in the Bible.

01:02:58.560 --> 01:03:04.560
We're not going to go through all those things but like logic dictates that two opposing statements cannot both be true at the same time.

01:03:04.560 --> 01:03:07.560
So you're basically believing a lie.

01:03:07.560 --> 01:03:10.560
You're basically saying God is a liar because God is the word.

01:03:10.560 --> 01:03:11.560
Right.

01:03:11.560 --> 01:03:16.560
Last contrast I'll go to turn to second Corinthians chapter two.

01:03:16.560 --> 01:03:26.560
And this is relevant to what I'm talking about.

01:03:26.560 --> 01:03:39.560
Second Corinthians Corinthians 2 17 says for we are not as many which corrupt the word of God but as of sincerity but as of God in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

01:03:39.560 --> 01:03:44.560
The NIV says unlike so many we do not peddle the word of God for profit.

01:03:44.560 --> 01:03:50.560
On the contrary in Christ we speak before God with sincerity as those sent from God.

01:03:50.560 --> 01:03:53.560
We do not peddle the word of God for profit.

01:03:53.560 --> 01:04:00.560
It's not even doesn't even mean the same thing as corrupting the word of God which is what they do is what people do.

01:04:00.560 --> 01:04:08.560
It's it's pretty obvious to us but for some reason it goes right over the head of the majority of people that say they're Christian goes right over their head.

01:04:08.560 --> 01:04:09.560
It's dangerous.

01:04:09.560 --> 01:04:14.560
It's I think it's a blasphemous mindset to think that God couldn't preserve his work.

01:04:14.560 --> 01:04:16.560
It just it's it blows my mind.

01:04:16.560 --> 01:04:17.560
It really does.

01:04:17.560 --> 01:04:20.560
To think that like he can't do what he said he was going to do.

01:04:20.560 --> 01:04:31.560
You know and we know all the verses the words of Lord and pure words of silver tried in a furnace of earth pure fight seven times thou shall keep them O Lord thou shall preserve them from this generation forever.

01:04:31.560 --> 01:04:37.560
You all know the forever part forever doesn't mean forever to people who do not believe this right.

01:04:37.560 --> 01:04:40.560
And there's all kinds of verses like that.

01:04:40.560 --> 01:04:44.560
And then what you get though because there's nothing new under the sun you get.

01:04:44.560 --> 01:04:50.560
I just recently popped up in my feed so this is this happened just maybe a week or so ago.

01:04:50.560 --> 01:04:52.560
You might have probably you might have heard it too.

01:04:52.560 --> 01:05:00.560
You know I think if you're ever on Facebook which honestly I don't recommend but occasionally I do get on there.

01:05:00.560 --> 01:05:05.560
But when you're Christian and they'll do they'll pop some stuff up there maybe to rattle you rattle you up a little bit.

01:05:05.560 --> 01:05:09.560
But this bishop bishop I'll say big time quotes.

01:05:09.560 --> 01:05:11.560
He vet flunder.

01:05:11.560 --> 01:05:13.560
Did anyone heard of this person.

01:05:13.560 --> 01:05:16.560
He vet flunder the name alone right.

01:05:16.560 --> 01:05:18.560
It's like yeah exactly.

01:05:18.560 --> 01:05:19.560
That's what I thought.

01:05:19.560 --> 01:05:21.560
So here's what she said.

01:05:21.560 --> 01:05:24.560
This is a very dangerous thing that I'm about to say now.

01:05:24.560 --> 01:05:29.560
And hopefully I doubt she's thinking dangerous because God should just strike her down on the spot.

01:05:29.560 --> 01:05:31.560
But she says a bit dangerous.

01:05:31.560 --> 01:05:37.560
I'm of the opinion that we need a third testament because the Bible has become problematic.

01:05:37.560 --> 01:05:40.560
Slaves obey your masters as you do the Lord.

01:05:40.560 --> 01:05:42.560
It's in the text.

01:05:42.560 --> 01:05:48.560
Let the woman keep silent in the churches and if they have any questions let them ask their husbands at home.

01:05:48.560 --> 01:05:50.560
Now I'm a believer my whole heart.

01:05:50.560 --> 01:05:51.560
I trust God with my whole heart.

01:05:51.560 --> 01:05:54.560
I wake up in the morning talking to God and God talking to me.

01:05:54.560 --> 01:05:59.560
There's the God talking to me huh.

01:05:59.560 --> 01:06:06.560
But I'm completely frustrated with the ways in which the text speaks to the kind of vitriolic God that makes these kinds of things.

01:06:06.560 --> 01:06:12.560
She's calling God vitriolic for the word of God for what the words of God actually say.

01:06:12.560 --> 01:06:17.560
And people will say well it's in the book and I said well then we need to pull this that page out.

01:06:17.560 --> 01:06:19.560
And they said well you can't do it.

01:06:19.560 --> 01:06:20.560
It's the word of God.

01:06:20.560 --> 01:06:22.560
I said no it's the words about God.

01:06:22.560 --> 01:06:24.560
Come on now.

01:06:24.560 --> 01:06:26.560
But is it the word of God.

01:06:26.560 --> 01:06:28.560
Yea have God said.

01:06:28.560 --> 01:06:29.560
See there's nothing new under the sun.

01:06:29.560 --> 01:06:30.560
This is just demonic.

01:06:30.560 --> 01:06:31.560
This is a devil.

01:06:31.560 --> 01:06:32.560
No it's not.

01:06:32.560 --> 01:06:33.560
It's not.

01:06:33.560 --> 01:06:34.560
This is just demonic.

01:06:34.560 --> 01:06:35.560
This is a devil.

01:06:35.560 --> 01:06:37.560
No it's not the word of God.

01:06:37.560 --> 01:06:38.560
This is what she said.

01:06:38.560 --> 01:06:39.560
No it's not the word of God.

01:06:39.560 --> 01:06:41.560
The New Testament is not the word of God.

01:06:41.560 --> 01:06:42.560
That's what she said.

01:06:42.560 --> 01:06:47.560
The New Testament is not the lying disgusting woman.

01:06:47.560 --> 01:06:48.560
Right.

01:06:48.560 --> 01:06:49.560
What a devil.

01:06:49.560 --> 01:06:51.560
But you notice how like even feminism creeps into this.

01:06:51.560 --> 01:06:53.560
It is a problem of our age.

01:06:53.560 --> 01:06:54.560
Right.

01:06:54.560 --> 01:07:00.560
And that's why I think it kind of gets beat maybe a little on the hard hard side you know sometimes.

01:07:00.560 --> 01:07:02.560
But hey I don't fault the man of God.

01:07:02.560 --> 01:07:07.560
God had his prophets do some pretty gnarly things sometimes when it called for it within a society.

01:07:07.560 --> 01:07:08.560
I mean he called.

01:07:08.560 --> 01:07:10.560
Read the Bible.

01:07:10.560 --> 01:07:14.560
You know you know you guys are doing the Old Testament challenge right.

01:07:14.560 --> 01:07:15.560
I think that's awesome that Remy does.

01:07:15.560 --> 01:07:16.560
Brother Remy does that.

01:07:16.560 --> 01:07:21.560
But it yeah she throws in a verse about women being silent in the church.

01:07:21.560 --> 01:07:23.560
Hey take it up with God.

01:07:23.560 --> 01:07:24.560
Right.

01:07:24.560 --> 01:07:27.560
But they don't want they want this is they want a God in their own image.

01:07:27.560 --> 01:07:31.560
They'll believe the Bible if it conforms with the way they believe.

01:07:31.560 --> 01:07:34.560
If not tear it out if not write a New Testament.

01:07:34.560 --> 01:07:44.560
You think this is like a new sort of philosophy that this didn't happen when way back in the day when you know this guy was looking his mission was to find new text of the Bible.

01:07:44.560 --> 01:07:51.560
If you're if you're a mission is to be against God and be against the Bible you're probably going to find something even if it's forged.

01:07:51.560 --> 01:07:52.560
Right.

01:07:52.560 --> 01:07:54.560
You're going to find something to support it.

01:07:54.560 --> 01:07:58.560
So these remarks by this supposed bishop who is the senior.

01:07:58.560 --> 01:08:07.560
Refuge United Church of Christ in Oakland California and the presiding bishop of the Fellowship of Affirming Ministries.

01:08:07.560 --> 01:08:08.560
More like refuse.

01:08:08.560 --> 01:08:12.560
Refuse like trash like it's the city of garbage.

01:08:12.560 --> 01:08:13.560
Right.

01:08:13.560 --> 01:08:15.560
Because that's what this woman is is a piece of garbage.

01:08:15.560 --> 01:08:16.560
Right.

01:08:16.560 --> 01:08:17.560
Turn to Psalm 68.

01:08:17.560 --> 01:08:21.560
Psalm 68.

01:08:21.560 --> 01:08:23.560
So you know this is interesting.

01:08:23.560 --> 01:08:26.560
But I've heard a lot about that Masoretic text.

01:08:26.560 --> 01:08:28.560
But I didn't know much about the Masoretic.

01:08:28.560 --> 01:08:29.560
I mean you guys might.

01:08:29.560 --> 01:08:38.560
But this is where a lot of the text that we believe came from.

01:08:38.560 --> 01:08:39.560
It came from the Masoretic text.

01:08:39.560 --> 01:08:44.560
You know like that had been handed down been passed down from generation to generation.

01:08:44.560 --> 01:08:55.560
You know and God obviously knew that we would get to this point in history where we have thumb drives and we have like all this technology to keep things stored and keep it accurate.

01:08:55.560 --> 01:08:56.560
Keep it to the point.

01:08:56.560 --> 01:08:57.560
Keep it copied over.

01:08:57.560 --> 01:09:09.560
You know all these things with the King James Bible coincided with certain things like printing presses and things that like you know gave them the ability to mass produce it with accuracy and things like that.

01:09:09.560 --> 01:09:11.560
God knew that was going to happen.

01:09:11.560 --> 01:09:13.560
It's like give me a break.

01:09:13.560 --> 01:09:21.560
So 6811 says the Lord gave the word great gave the word great was the company of those that published it.

01:09:21.560 --> 01:09:23.560
God is the one who gave us the word of God.

01:09:23.560 --> 01:09:27.560
God preserved the word of God through the Masoretic text of the Old Testament Hebrew.

01:09:27.560 --> 01:09:31.560
Hebrew the received text from the traditional text family the New Testament Greek.

01:09:31.560 --> 01:09:46.560
And like I said in a time when we didn't have all these things like memory cards and stuff like that the Masoretic were God fearing men who painstakingly preserved and handed down the word of God painstakingly like things that people wouldn't do nowadays.

01:09:46.560 --> 01:09:49.560
I'm sure you know we're kind of in a more of a lazy type of society.

01:09:49.560 --> 01:09:59.560
I hate said I mean it's like I know that we're hard workers you know as Baptist who believe the Bible but most you know it's a scary place out there.

01:09:59.560 --> 01:10:01.560
I mean people customer services downhill.

01:10:01.560 --> 01:10:04.560
I mean it's like people don't really care what they do.

01:10:04.560 --> 01:10:08.560
You know people are just fine to just be a bum nowadays really.

01:10:08.560 --> 01:10:11.560
It's like that's why there's so many more bums than even when I was younger.

01:10:11.560 --> 01:10:15.560
I mean bums are everywhere but God preserved his word.

01:10:15.560 --> 01:10:22.560
And so they Masoretic comes from the Hebrew word massar meaning to hand down.

01:10:22.560 --> 01:10:27.560
And you know they weren't careless scribes or you know just casual copyists right.

01:10:27.560 --> 01:10:31.560
They were guardians and they were devoted to maintaining the purity of the Bible.

01:10:31.560 --> 01:10:33.560
And so I'll just read.

01:10:33.560 --> 01:10:35.560
So there's this book by.

01:10:35.560 --> 01:10:39.560
Let's see.

01:10:40.560 --> 01:10:42.560
His name is.

01:10:42.560 --> 01:10:44.560
Herbert Sumner.

01:10:44.560 --> 01:10:48.560
And he listed some of the there's this 1937 book.

01:10:48.560 --> 01:10:57.560
You know in the in the biblical introduction he looked at the eight rules that the Israelites used to copy the scrolls of the Old Testament scripture to preserve the word of God.

01:10:57.560 --> 01:10:59.560
And you know it's crazy.

01:10:59.560 --> 01:11:04.560
I'm just going to read these just because it just shows you how serious they took it right.

01:11:04.560 --> 01:11:07.560
This wasn't just like the way people are nowadays.

01:11:07.560 --> 01:11:25.560
The parchment had to be made from the skin of a clean animal had to be prepared by them only the by Jew only skins were fastened together by strings taken from clean animals also each column had to have no less than 48 no more than 60 lines the entire copy must be first line.

01:11:25.560 --> 01:11:31.560
The ink had to be no other color than black and must be prepared according to a specific recipe.

01:11:32.560 --> 01:11:34.560
Order letter could be written from memory.

01:11:34.560 --> 01:11:43.560
This they describe had to have an authentic copy before him and he must read and pronounce aloud each word before writing it.

01:11:43.560 --> 01:11:49.560
He had to pronounce every word before he wrote it down with an authentic copy before him and he had to say it out loud.

01:11:49.560 --> 01:11:50.560
Right.

01:11:50.560 --> 01:11:53.560
Not just see it in his mind right not just have it by memory.

01:11:53.560 --> 01:11:56.560
He had to he had to see it and say it.

01:11:56.560 --> 01:12:00.560
And this was to avoid any errors any duplications of emissions etc.

01:12:00.560 --> 01:12:15.560
He must reverently wipe his pen each time before writing the word God and he must wash his whole body before writing the name Jehovah lest the holy name be contaminated strict rules given were given concerning forms of the letter spaces between letters words sections.

01:12:15.560 --> 01:12:18.560
The use of the pen the color of the parchment etc.

01:12:18.560 --> 01:12:26.560
The revision of the role must be made within 30 days after the work was finished otherwise it was worthless one mistake on a sheet condemn that sheet.

01:12:26.560 --> 01:12:30.560
If three mistakes were found on any page the entire manuscript was condemned.

01:12:30.560 --> 01:12:38.560
So if they got all the way from my Genesis to Malachi and they found three mistakes they would start over again from Genesis and go all the way to Malachi again.

01:12:38.560 --> 01:12:42.560
I mean every word in every letter were counted.

01:12:42.560 --> 01:12:46.560
They counted every word in every letter every John Tittle.

01:12:46.560 --> 01:12:46.560

01:12:46.560 --> 01:12:48.560
That's what the Bible says.

01:12:48.560 --> 01:12:49.560
We're counted.

01:12:49.560 --> 01:12:52.560
I mean talk about like trying to be exact.

01:12:52.560 --> 01:13:01.560
You know if if a letter were omitted or an extra letter inserted or if one letter touched another the manuscript was condemned and destroyed at once.

01:13:01.560 --> 01:13:03.560
I mean that seems crazy right.

01:13:03.560 --> 01:13:11.560
But that's how I mean God used men to do just like he used the prophets holy men spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

01:13:11.560 --> 01:13:14.560
God also used men that he knew were going to be like this.

01:13:14.560 --> 01:13:19.560
You know we're going to take it seriously and they were going to make sure that it was passed down.

01:13:19.560 --> 01:13:33.560
And this was all that this is what was handed down to get us to where we were when the King James Bible was translated from these types of texts that had been passed down and thousands of manuscripts were were found and they agreed with each other.

01:13:33.560 --> 01:13:35.560
The majority of them agreed with each other.

01:13:35.560 --> 01:13:36.560
That's right.

01:13:36.560 --> 01:13:36.560

01:13:36.560 --> 01:13:38.560
We it was preserved.

01:13:38.560 --> 01:13:39.560
Right.

01:13:39.560 --> 01:13:40.560
They weren't.

01:13:40.560 --> 01:13:42.560
And this wasn't just casually accepted by believers either.

01:13:42.560 --> 01:13:47.560
This you know this was faithfully embraced as the word of God this whole time.

01:13:47.560 --> 01:13:48.560
Right.

01:13:48.560 --> 01:13:51.560
I mean it was received not rejected.

01:13:51.560 --> 01:13:52.560
It was preserved.

01:13:52.560 --> 01:14:00.560
You know and then like for the New Testament Greek 5400 plus manuscripts and fragment fragments have been discovered.

01:14:00.560 --> 01:14:03.560
And you know over 90 percent agree with one another.

01:14:03.560 --> 01:14:10.560
And you know to make it known what is known as the traditional text family the remaining managed manuscripts make up the other two groups.

01:14:10.560 --> 01:14:14.560
So the word of God is preserved.

01:14:14.560 --> 01:14:15.560
It is preserved.

01:14:15.560 --> 01:14:19.560
And you love your King James Bible study it memorize it.

01:14:19.560 --> 01:14:27.560
You know I think that Brother Remy is doing a great job encouraging you all to read your Bible and to study your Bible.

01:14:27.560 --> 01:14:29.560
I mean I saw you man just recently did like some popcorn preaching.

01:14:29.560 --> 01:14:30.560
I was impressed.

01:14:30.560 --> 01:14:32.560
I was like good job.

01:14:32.560 --> 01:14:36.560
Oh I was like damn pastor doesn't implement that right.

01:14:36.560 --> 01:14:38.560
But like hey be ready though.

01:14:38.560 --> 01:14:40.560
You know we should be ready.

01:14:40.560 --> 01:14:46.560
We should know our Bible enough to get up here and get a topic thrown our way and be able to open the Bible and say why we believe it.

01:14:46.560 --> 01:14:48.560
We should be able to do that.

01:14:48.560 --> 01:14:51.560
So that's talk about exhorting one another.

01:14:51.560 --> 01:14:53.560
That is how you exhort one another.

01:14:53.560 --> 01:14:55.560
That's what makes church so so good.

01:14:55.560 --> 01:14:57.560
Don't tell me church isn't important.

01:14:57.560 --> 01:15:02.560
People are trying to say church isn't important or you know everybody gets the same rewards.

01:15:02.560 --> 01:15:03.560
Just stay home.

01:15:04.560 --> 01:15:13.560
I mean if somebody actually believes that God just wanted you to figure out salvation for yourself and then just stay home and just live your best life now you're insane.

01:15:13.560 --> 01:15:18.560
I mean this life is faster than the blink of an eye when you throw it to a turn when you compare it to eternity.

01:15:18.560 --> 01:15:22.560
It's faster than the blink of an eye.

01:15:22.560 --> 01:15:26.560
Why would he want you to not share your faith and preach the gospel and get other people saved.

01:15:26.560 --> 01:15:28.560
God is not willing that any should perish.

01:15:28.560 --> 01:15:30.560
I mean come on.

01:15:30.560 --> 01:15:31.560
Church isn't important.

01:15:31.560 --> 01:15:34.560
Church is of the utmost of importance.

01:15:34.560 --> 01:15:37.560
It is of the utmost of importance.

01:15:37.560 --> 01:15:39.560
I mean Christ died for the church.

01:15:39.560 --> 01:15:40.560
He's the head of the church.

01:15:40.560 --> 01:15:42.560
It's like church is important.

01:15:42.560 --> 01:15:46.560
And I think that you know exhorting doing these new things.

01:15:46.560 --> 01:15:52.560
I'm like hey I like the new I like that Old Testament challenge because you know everyone does the New Testament challenge right.

01:15:52.560 --> 01:15:54.560
And it's it's one month.

01:15:54.560 --> 01:15:55.560
It's fast.

01:15:55.560 --> 01:15:58.560
And then you have 11 more months of the year.

01:15:58.560 --> 01:15:59.560
And guess what.

01:15:59.560 --> 01:16:03.560
Sometimes people don't even get the New Testament done in those 11 months.

01:16:03.560 --> 01:16:04.560
Why.

01:16:04.560 --> 01:16:06.560
Because you're not getting pushed.

01:16:06.560 --> 01:16:07.560
You don't have the challenge.

01:16:07.560 --> 01:16:08.560
So it's a great thing.

01:16:08.560 --> 01:16:11.560
I hope I hope that gets spread out to everybody.

01:16:11.560 --> 01:16:12.560
I hope everybody does.

01:16:12.560 --> 01:16:14.560
I mean maybe other churches are doing it too.

01:16:14.560 --> 01:16:17.560
And I think I think pastor brought it up to some.

01:16:17.560 --> 01:16:18.560
He's like yeah we should probably.

01:16:18.560 --> 01:16:19.560
That's a good idea.

01:16:19.560 --> 01:16:21.560
You know he's like you know we were talking about it.

01:16:21.560 --> 01:16:27.560
But you know and then this this that there there's multiple revisions of the King James Bible.

01:16:27.560 --> 01:16:29.560
Really when you look into it it's garbage.

01:16:29.560 --> 01:16:34.560
It should just be you know additions of the Bible really because they were changing.

01:16:34.560 --> 01:16:49.560
And again we probably know this but they were just changing like spelling issues or you know standardizing things like changing from son so and any to son so and right correcting punctuation or printer errors.

01:16:49.560 --> 01:16:51.560
It wasn't like departing from the math.

01:16:52.560 --> 01:16:55.560
Like what all the new versions of the Bible are doing.

01:16:55.560 --> 01:16:58.560
It wasn't departing from the received text.

01:16:58.560 --> 01:16:59.560
It was right.

01:16:59.560 --> 01:17:01.560
It was just correcting little things.

01:17:01.560 --> 01:17:01.560

01:17:01.560 --> 01:17:08.560
So it's it's just a lie to say oh well your Bible's also are you reading the same thing they did in 1611 or whatever.

01:17:08.560 --> 01:17:09.560
It is the same thing.

01:17:09.560 --> 01:17:10.560
It's the same words.

01:17:10.560 --> 01:17:11.560
It's the same thing.

01:17:12.560 --> 01:17:19.560
I just want to read that because in a book defending the King James Bible by the way D.A.

01:17:19.560 --> 01:17:24.560
Waite said that it was only like point zero five percent change from the original like very minor changes.

01:17:24.560 --> 01:17:26.560
Wasn't anything big at all.

01:17:26.560 --> 01:17:40.560
But the Bible says this book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth but thou shalt meditate there in day and night that thou may as observe to do according to all that is written there in all that is written there in for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous.

01:17:40.560 --> 01:17:43.560
And then thou shalt have good success.

01:17:43.560 --> 01:17:47.560
So everything we contend for is from the word of God.

01:17:47.560 --> 01:17:56.560
And if the if the law of God shouldn't depart from our mouth so that we could do everything according to how God wants us to do it why would he let it get lost.

01:17:57.560 --> 01:18:00.560
It's insanity that people believe this.

01:18:00.560 --> 01:18:04.560
I it blows my mind and I know I'm preaching to the choir right now.

01:18:04.560 --> 01:18:11.560
But like it's it's a frustrating thing because you know we don't think too much about it even out there preaching the gospel.

01:18:11.560 --> 01:18:25.560
It does come up more often now I think than what I remember when I first started soul winning because now we have like a ton of Preserve Bible DVDs that we hand out you know and so that it can be on your mind a little bit more.

01:18:25.560 --> 01:18:30.560
But it is good to ask them what kind of Bible do you have a Bible.

01:18:30.560 --> 01:18:31.560
What kind of Bible do you have.

01:18:31.560 --> 01:18:33.560
Give them a King James Bible.

01:18:33.560 --> 01:18:50.560
That's why we get Bibles so we can hand them out to people you know talk to them a little bit about why it is so important that the Bible you read because you know and it's hard at the door to give them all this this knowledge you know and you have to want it right.

01:18:50.560 --> 01:18:57.560
You know we think everybody is going to be like we were where we got all this truth and we just like wanted more truth right.

01:18:57.560 --> 01:19:01.560
Some people are just totally content to not go to hell and amen.

01:19:01.560 --> 01:19:08.560
Like we don't want them to go to hell so you know the people that just scoff on like whoa did they go to church did they get baptized and all that.

01:19:08.560 --> 01:19:18.560
Hey it's free will they have to want it to they have to want that truth and then if they seek it they're going to find it just like we did and then they would end up in a church like this.

01:19:18.560 --> 01:19:27.560
But it is good to at least try it's good to at least try to give them some knowledge right and let them know that God preserved his word.

01:19:27.560 --> 01:19:29.560
It is critical that it's preserved.

01:19:29.560 --> 01:19:37.560
If you're saved by the word of God I mean you read this Bible and you realize it's critical that God would have preserved it.

01:19:38.560 --> 01:19:44.560
And even our opinions right they should be filtered through the pure word of God right turn to Hebrews chapter four.

01:19:45.560 --> 01:19:58.560
Everything we think and believe all of our thoughts all of our ways of doing things all you know how we work at our jobs we were just talking about this last night with brother Paul you know all the all that we do all the opinions.

01:19:58.560 --> 01:20:03.560
That we form all of them should come from the word of God that's what the Bible even says.

01:20:03.560 --> 01:20:09.560
So again why would God not preserve it if that's the case.

01:20:09.560 --> 01:20:20.560
Of course he would you think he's going to like well you know sorry I got lost into a hole for fifteen hundred years and you didn't know but you know I guess you're going to be beaten with a little fewer stripes.

01:20:21.560 --> 01:20:26.560
So it's stupid it's it's it's retarded it really is.

01:20:26.560 --> 01:20:32.560
Hebrews four to look at verse eleven it says let us labor therefore to enter into the into that rest.

01:20:32.560 --> 01:20:35.560
Let any man fall after the some example of unbelief.

01:20:36.560 --> 01:20:51.560
The same example of unbelief for the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints of moral and as a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

01:20:52.560 --> 01:21:00.560
So hey contend for the faith the Bible is quick and powerful it's not quick and powerful if you don't even know what it says or if it's accurate.

01:21:00.560 --> 01:21:12.560
It's not quick and powerful if they got lost you can't trust it you get to just kind of figure out how you want it to be you know if it just if you just if if it's something that you disagree with and you could say well you know what.

01:21:12.560 --> 01:21:28.560
You never know mankind is the one who you know preserved preserved it so it's probably tainted you know we can't have the the accuracy unless it's in the originals if we can go back and have those it's it's insane you know and we should contend for the faith.

01:21:29.560 --> 01:21:40.560
You know but not for the wrong types of things right because again the Bible should be how we line things up it's the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart and I was listening to I listened to brother Remy's sermons as much as I can and.

01:21:40.560 --> 01:21:56.560
I was unaware of that he was like considered he's preaching something about saying like he wasn't new I have been enough or something like that or like I'm like what why why does he even have to preach about that really it's like we should contend for the right things and you know.

01:21:57.560 --> 01:22:02.560
We're not just all cookie cutter but if you say you're new I have been I'd say then you're new I be.

01:22:03.560 --> 01:22:20.560
You're willing to say that sometimes it's like I feel like churches get more grace just because they don't you know openly hate us they'll just like you know they you're like that friend you don't you'll you'll talk to elsewhere but if you go to lunch you know you're going to kind of ignore them or whatever like you know that's how we're okay with those kind of pastor sometimes.

01:22:20.560 --> 01:22:36.560
I mean did did Paul say the Corinthians weren't new I have been enough I mean I mean they were pretty messed up right you know we don't always have to have like the same exact line thought process but like.

01:22:36.560 --> 01:22:53.560
Or with each other in the main things let's just keep it at the main things that's insane man I mean it you know it really it kind of pissed me off really like or to or to just like claim that he's like just he just riding the coattails of pastor Thompson you know nepotism at its best.

01:22:53.560 --> 01:23:09.560
It's like that's insane anybody who's ever went to church with brother Remy hey brother Remy like he wasn't at our church first service he was actually they were getting married that's how I always remember around the time we came to that church pastor was gone so they were at his wedding.

01:23:09.560 --> 01:23:25.560
And and so but I've been with the at the church since that time and saw what a faithful family that they are so anyone who would say I mean that's what it should be our pastor is not a respecter of persons.

01:23:25.560 --> 01:23:38.560
That's what God God is the one who set up family lines of things if you read your Bible it's all over the Bible I mean the priests were hand down I mean it wasn't about the fact that like they were doing something wrong because they were doing something wrong.

01:23:38.560 --> 01:23:56.560
Because they shouldn't have been handing things down to their son it's about those sons that did something wrong because God is not a respecter of persons God is he's looking at our heart he's looking at the way we do things and you know you have to have a desire to do a job like that like leading a church.

01:23:56.560 --> 01:24:16.560
It's not for the wimpy men out there I'll tell you that because you have to put up with a lot right you have to deal with a lot you have to have a thick skin right I don't think that I would want to do it you know but that's why we should be more supportive of that and encourage that instead of trying to kind of knock that down.

01:24:16.560 --> 01:24:24.560
I mean I see all these morning quarterbacks out there they have so much to say against the man of God right but they're not doing it.

01:24:24.560 --> 01:24:27.560
That's weak man that is so weak.

01:24:27.560 --> 01:24:29.560
That is so weak.

01:24:29.560 --> 01:24:50.560
You know but yeah pastor Thompson of anyone that any pastor I've ever dealt with like had any sort of interactions with is the least respecter persons that I that I would ever that I've ever known that as far as in this role, you know that he's supposed to he tries to line things up.

01:24:50.560 --> 01:25:19.560
And you know obviously if it's your son you're going to love them in a different way but you know it's it's like you know there's a dearth in the world today of men that actually want to be a pastor don't discourage somebody from that job you know read first Timothy you know chapter three or Titus one right do they faithfully preach the word do they live a godly life you know are they sure showing fruit you know to this to the calling of you know or their desire to do this job right you know and if placing it said to you know.

01:25:20.560 --> 01:25:50.560
Put people in these churches it didn't say you know unless it's your unless it's your son you know don't don't do it then now right I could see somebody having that opinion but you know I would I would contend that that doesn't necessarily line up with the Bible though you know I mean the Bible's full of passing things down in family situations and you do see good examples of in bad examples of that right but you see good examples and bad examples of that in the world too right there's there's like family businesses that are like great and you love to go there.

01:25:50.560 --> 01:26:08.560
And they do an excellent job right because those people those sons or daughters or whoever is participating care about it they had the desire to do it you know but then you probably have examples where they didn't want to do it and they were lazy and they didn't you know and then they do a crappy job right and then the place falls apart you know but it in.

01:26:08.560 --> 01:26:38.560
As far as in a spiritual sense if they have a desire and they're faithful and they work hard and they meet the qualifications we should support them you know it's as long as it's done according to God's standards hey God said like I said he set up he set up a system of priesthood you know we're all priest do and really too when you think about it we're all family you know we're all brothers and sisters right that's how you know it's like you get nervous to preach but then you realize hey you're you're amongst

01:26:38.560 --> 01:27:08.560
the family you're amongst the people that you love you know I was just talking about this after before the service it's like hey it's not a big deal right it you know that they're going to if you fumble up a little bit who cares not everybody pitches the same way you know sometimes God uses a lot of people that fumbled with their speech not everybody has to preach as good as you know the pastors you see online just because we're at a time in history where you could actually watch everybody online and you couldn't do that before you're getting letters from them and and.

01:27:08.560 --> 01:27:13.160
Who doesn't know that a letter sometimes doesn't even translate very well I mean.

01:27:14.200 --> 01:27:31.880
Believe me I've sent a numerous amount of text that I I just wish I wouldn't have sent because they read something different than what I meant in my heart right but now we get to see stuff you know and and just but don't use that to just go against people right.

01:27:31.880 --> 01:27:32.400
The.

01:27:33.240 --> 01:27:43.480
Ephesians 411 to 12 says and he gave some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ.

01:27:44.400 --> 01:28:01.760
There's no verse that says but you know not if he's related to the pastor right then it's not you know half off limits right Jesus and disciples they included biological brothers whole households believed and served together you got like a killer and Priscilla you know Paul and Timothy and tight it Paul.

01:28:01.920 --> 01:28:11.960
Both Timothy and Titus his sons in the faith and that's kind of speaks to what I'm talking about that we're all we're all just like family you get somebody saved and I guess I wouldn't do it but you can call him your son in the faith I guess you know.

01:28:12.600 --> 01:28:25.200
It's like hey I was reminded that I went so many for the first time with brother Travis but I I would never call my son in the face but I'm sure you probably got these people saved and that's why he's doing that but like you know hey.

01:28:26.160 --> 01:28:38.400
Even Jesus right he said like who is my mother who is my brethren right it's people that do the will of God if they're doing the will of God hey their family anyways you know and it should be about that.

01:28:39.360 --> 01:28:48.640
Right it's like these these men in the Bible that are these passed down bloodlines because obviously Jesus came from passed down from the line that David.

01:28:49.040 --> 01:29:01.880
Right this these family lines you know God God didn't think there was anything wrong with it you know what God doesn't like is if you're a respecter of persons to the point where you would just like disregard what God wanted you to do.

01:29:02.400 --> 01:29:13.520
And just do something different because of your your son or daughter you know and that's where you see these men getting in trouble with God but not once did he ever say you know why did you put your son in this position.

01:29:14.040 --> 01:29:24.800
You know it's like it just doesn't make sense you know it's it if somebody wants to have the job it's a good thing to want to do that's what the Bible says and I'm sure you all think that.

01:29:25.800 --> 01:29:28.680
I was called a pastor but brother Remy is a blessing here.

01:29:29.760 --> 01:29:37.480
And it you know if you did if you didn't we'll take him back so so forget you guys because he is and I know that he is right.

01:29:37.600 --> 01:29:38.240
I know that he is right.

01:29:39.440 --> 01:29:51.600
Of the truth I perceive God is no respecter of persons right there is no respect of persons with God James two nine says but if you have respect to persons he commits sin and are convinced of the laws transgressors so you know.

01:29:51.600 --> 01:30:00.760
Leader should be based on he's my son they should be based on right they should be on the ability to teach and preach which I believe brother Remy has that gift.

01:30:01.120 --> 01:30:09.640
You know and I think he's a great preacher I always enjoyed when brother Remy pre so did my wife she always would say man he always cuts to the heart.

01:30:10.280 --> 01:30:24.560
So he's always preaches something that is like nails me and you know it's that's good you know to not be afraid to preach things that are hard you know but that's what that's what he does I think you know turn to Matthew chapter five.

01:30:25.880 --> 01:30:26.160
You know.

01:30:27.360 --> 01:30:33.360
We all know we all know we're related but you know you're you never know if somebody is going to go from brethren to Gallagher.

01:30:34.200 --> 01:30:48.560
Just you just can't you can't predict that right i've seen some pretty amazing pastors you know put some lemons I guess you'd say into onto their pulpits and stuff and they didn't know I saw this recent post come up.

01:30:48.800 --> 01:30:57.840
We're rich red hot t-shirt and you can believe the false prophets that were on that thing I mean Tyler doka was on it that guy's claim to be Jesus.

01:30:58.520 --> 01:31:13.040
He was on a red hot t-shirt you guys know that I couldn't believe it so hey even these even godly men could put somebody you know in a in a position that maybe it shouldn't have been in.

01:31:13.640 --> 01:31:25.440
You know it has nothing to do with your your father or whatever right it really doesn't I don't think God sees it like that at all I mean I'm telling you man that t-shirt everybody on it was bad.

01:31:26.560 --> 01:31:37.400
But like maybe pastor ederson and I don't know pastor Jimenez was even on that one he probably was because he started the red hot I think but I think they're like the only two well they're really only they're only two really.

01:31:39.680 --> 01:31:41.280
It's like we're all family though right.

01:31:43.940 --> 01:32:10.420
Mathолет asylum consultant Bryan anthem fantasesting aired Palestinian

01:32:10.420 --> 01:32:12.620
the fact that we're all family.

01:32:12.620 --> 01:32:15.220
I just was gonna have you turn to that.

01:32:15.220 --> 01:32:18.300
Maybe I had something, you know what?

01:32:18.300 --> 01:32:20.380
I'm running low on time, so forget it.

01:32:20.380 --> 01:32:23.580
Matthew 12, though, 48 and 50 says,

01:32:23.580 --> 01:32:25.860
but he answered and said unto him that told him,

01:32:25.860 --> 01:32:28.700
"'Who is my mother and who are my brethren?'

01:32:28.700 --> 01:32:30.740
And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples

01:32:30.740 --> 01:32:33.580
and said, "'Behold, my mother and my brethren,

01:32:33.580 --> 01:32:36.260
"'for whosoever shall do the will of my father

01:32:36.260 --> 01:32:38.420
"'which is in heaven the same as my brother

01:32:38.460 --> 01:32:40.820
"'and sister and mother.'"

01:32:40.820 --> 01:32:43.420
We're all related, you know?

01:32:43.420 --> 01:32:46.260
So God's not a respecter of persons,

01:32:46.260 --> 01:32:49.560
and that includes Brother Remy.

01:32:51.020 --> 01:32:54.300
And also, we're independent churches, right?

01:32:54.300 --> 01:32:56.980
So nobody can say a pastor is a respecter of persons.

01:32:56.980 --> 01:33:00.020
We don't all have to align in every single thing.

01:33:00.020 --> 01:33:02.300
That's what turns it a little cultish,

01:33:02.300 --> 01:33:05.520
where you have to have exactly the same opinion.

01:33:05.520 --> 01:33:07.720
That's where it gets a little bit weird, right?

01:33:07.720 --> 01:33:09.760
The Bible says in Galatians 1-10,

01:33:09.760 --> 01:33:11.480
for do I now persuade men or God,

01:33:11.480 --> 01:33:13.120
or do I seek to please men?

01:33:13.120 --> 01:33:14.540
For if I yet pleased men,

01:33:14.540 --> 01:33:16.360
I should not be the servant of Christ.

01:33:16.360 --> 01:33:18.880
You should be willing to have your own opinion and stance.

01:33:18.880 --> 01:33:21.120
It's like, hey, should you back it up with the Bible?

01:33:21.120 --> 01:33:22.440
Absolutely, of course.

01:33:22.440 --> 01:33:24.400
You should be able to say why you believe what you believe

01:33:24.400 --> 01:33:25.600
because of the Bible.

01:33:25.600 --> 01:33:28.240
But you know, there's still an opinion

01:33:28.240 --> 01:33:30.400
or a take you can have on a situation

01:33:30.400 --> 01:33:33.680
that can differ slightly from somebody else.

01:33:33.680 --> 01:33:34.640
It's like, that's insane.

01:33:34.640 --> 01:33:37.300
That's where it could start to get weird.

01:33:38.720 --> 01:33:41.560
And my opinions are gonna come from the Bible.

01:33:41.560 --> 01:33:43.060
Turn to Mark chapter three.

01:33:45.000 --> 01:33:47.760
If you're already in 12, just back it up a little bit.

01:33:50.080 --> 01:33:52.160
But you know, we should never look for people

01:33:52.160 --> 01:33:54.120
to be screwing up either, right?

01:33:55.480 --> 01:33:59.140
I always think it's like pitiful and pathetic, right?

01:33:59.140 --> 01:34:01.220
And strange that these trash can churches,

01:34:01.220 --> 01:34:03.540
like they watch every sermon.

01:34:03.540 --> 01:34:07.120
They try, they're just waiting for like a clip, right?

01:34:07.680 --> 01:34:11.400
Was that, were they able to do that in the Bible time?

01:34:11.400 --> 01:34:14.200
No, they weren't able to do that, right?

01:34:14.200 --> 01:34:17.360
But now they can, so you have these weirdos

01:34:17.360 --> 01:34:20.720
that can't move on with their lives that watch everything.

01:34:20.720 --> 01:34:22.560
Or they have their minions do it and pass,

01:34:22.560 --> 01:34:24.280
oh, they're like, some pastors are like,

01:34:24.280 --> 01:34:25.240
well, I don't watch it.

01:34:25.240 --> 01:34:26.720
Somebody just sends it to me.

01:34:26.720 --> 01:34:29.260
They want that, they want that.

01:34:29.260 --> 01:34:30.600
But they're looking for something

01:34:30.600 --> 01:34:34.080
and we should never be like this, right?

01:34:34.120 --> 01:34:37.920
Have that trash can, it's not normal behavior, right?

01:34:37.920 --> 01:34:39.920
You know what normal Christians do?

01:34:39.920 --> 01:34:42.440
They watch sermons for edification.

01:34:42.440 --> 01:34:44.360
They watch, like I watch Brother Remy

01:34:44.360 --> 01:34:47.300
for edification from his sermons.

01:34:47.300 --> 01:34:49.080
I watch some of the other pastors.

01:34:49.080 --> 01:34:52.000
I watch Pastor Anderson, I watch Pastor Shelley,

01:34:52.000 --> 01:34:53.440
I watch Pastor Mejia.

01:34:53.440 --> 01:34:54.520
You know, you can't watch everybody,

01:34:54.520 --> 01:34:57.640
but you know, I try to watch as much as I can too.

01:34:58.840 --> 01:35:00.640
But I watch Brother Sean Conlon.

01:35:00.640 --> 01:35:03.080
I try to watch our churches, right, too.

01:35:03.080 --> 01:35:05.640
Because I work from home, so I have the benefit

01:35:05.640 --> 01:35:08.840
of being able to at least even have them on while I work.

01:35:08.840 --> 01:35:12.120
That is a blessing that most people do not have.

01:35:12.120 --> 01:35:14.680
So you don't get everything, but you get a lot.

01:35:14.680 --> 01:35:17.520
But you watch it for edification.

01:35:17.520 --> 01:35:20.420
That's what a normal person does.

01:35:20.420 --> 01:35:22.360
You know what a weirdo does?

01:35:22.360 --> 01:35:26.120
They watch it so they can see where you screw up

01:35:26.120 --> 01:35:28.960
or find something to blame you with, right?

01:35:29.780 --> 01:35:30.840
That's wicked.

01:35:30.840 --> 01:35:32.720
That's like a Pharisee, right?

01:35:33.320 --> 01:35:34.240
Look at verse two, it says,

01:35:34.240 --> 01:35:37.040
And they watched him, whether he would heal

01:35:37.040 --> 01:35:40.000
on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.

01:35:40.000 --> 01:35:42.720
See, that's a Pharisee type of a mentality.

01:35:42.720 --> 01:35:44.260
That's a wicked mentality.

01:35:44.260 --> 01:35:45.980
Somebody who just watches your sermon

01:35:45.980 --> 01:35:47.760
so that they can just like find something

01:35:47.760 --> 01:35:49.200
to throw in your face.

01:35:49.200 --> 01:35:52.640
Dude, stay away from a wicked person like that.

01:35:52.640 --> 01:35:54.540
It's trashcan behavior.

01:35:54.540 --> 01:35:57.480
So if that ever infiltrated into our churches,

01:35:57.480 --> 01:35:59.020
it should be called out.

01:35:59.020 --> 01:36:00.160
Because you know what?

01:36:00.160 --> 01:36:02.920
Those people that exhibit the trashcan behavior

01:36:02.920 --> 01:36:05.800
usually turn into trashcan people, right?

01:36:05.800 --> 01:36:07.960
They're people that get called out.

01:36:07.960 --> 01:36:09.380
Because they don't see that they've got

01:36:09.380 --> 01:36:11.240
this big old beam in their eye.

01:36:12.360 --> 01:36:13.880
And then they're trying to point out a moat

01:36:13.880 --> 01:36:14.920
in somebody else's eye.

01:36:14.920 --> 01:36:17.320
And then if you try to highlight that to them,

01:36:17.320 --> 01:36:19.000
then they're, oh man, they're screaming.

01:36:19.000 --> 01:36:21.440
All of a sudden, they know the Bible all of a sudden.

01:36:21.440 --> 01:36:23.160
They're just like, oh, look what he's doing.

01:36:23.160 --> 01:36:25.080
He's calling me out.

01:36:25.080 --> 01:36:26.360
Shut up.

01:36:26.360 --> 01:36:29.400
You're watching sermons so that you could call people out.

01:36:30.840 --> 01:36:32.320
I hear that this stuff happens.

01:36:32.320 --> 01:36:33.480
It's wicked.

01:36:33.480 --> 01:36:35.680
The Bible says in Psalm 37, 32,

01:36:35.680 --> 01:36:39.360
the wicked watches the righteous and seek it to slay him.

01:36:39.360 --> 01:36:40.880
We should never have that attitude

01:36:40.880 --> 01:36:43.520
where you hate your brother because you're a murderer.

01:36:44.620 --> 01:36:47.080
It's the wicked that are watching righteous people

01:36:47.080 --> 01:36:49.320
just to look for them to fall.

01:36:49.320 --> 01:36:53.780
It's a Pharisee, holier than thou type behavior.

01:36:53.780 --> 01:36:55.120
You're lying in wait.

01:36:55.120 --> 01:36:56.640
You're a whisperer, you're a backbiter,

01:36:56.640 --> 01:36:59.520
you're a gossiper, you're a tale bearer.

01:36:59.520 --> 01:37:01.560
It's a wicked, it's not normal.

01:37:01.560 --> 01:37:03.520
It is not a normal behavior.

01:37:03.520 --> 01:37:05.240
John 13, 34, 35 says,

01:37:05.240 --> 01:37:06.560
A new commandment I give unto you

01:37:06.560 --> 01:37:08.800
that ye love one another as I have loved you

01:37:08.800 --> 01:37:10.500
and ye also love one another.

01:37:10.500 --> 01:37:13.400
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples

01:37:13.400 --> 01:37:15.160
if ye have loved one to another.

01:37:15.160 --> 01:37:16.720
We're supposed to love one another.

01:37:16.720 --> 01:37:20.240
I mean, and that transcends everything.

01:37:20.240 --> 01:37:22.200
That goes to the other churches as well.

01:37:22.200 --> 01:37:24.880
That's why you could be so happy and blessed

01:37:24.880 --> 01:37:26.440
to see people you just barely met.

01:37:26.440 --> 01:37:28.280
Like, you know, I keep bringing them up,

01:37:28.280 --> 01:37:30.960
but like, it's nice to see them.

01:37:30.960 --> 01:37:33.000
I still remember going soul-winding with them.

01:37:33.000 --> 01:37:36.080
You know, and it's like you're visiting family again.

01:37:36.080 --> 01:37:37.720
It's not like weird or anything.

01:37:37.720 --> 01:37:39.480
We go out to dinner and we just can't leave.

01:37:39.480 --> 01:37:40.960
We're stuck in the parking lot.

01:37:40.960 --> 01:37:42.800
You know, just keep talking and talking,

01:37:42.800 --> 01:37:44.400
and next thing you know, brother Ryan's like,

01:37:44.400 --> 01:37:46.640
did you stay up till midnight too?

01:37:46.640 --> 01:37:48.080
I couldn't even sleep.

01:37:48.080 --> 01:37:50.240
You know, like, you get like amped up

01:37:50.240 --> 01:37:52.360
because you get encouraged, you get it refreshed.

01:37:52.360 --> 01:37:54.920
We should be looking to encourage and refresh one another,

01:37:54.920 --> 01:37:57.120
not beat one another down.

01:37:57.120 --> 01:37:59.320
It's like, that's wicked.

01:37:59.320 --> 01:38:01.960
You know, and 1 Peter 4, 8 says,

01:38:01.960 --> 01:38:06.880
and above all things have fervent charity among yourselves,

01:38:06.880 --> 01:38:10.040
for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

01:38:10.040 --> 01:38:13.120
It didn't say, you know, charity uncovers all the things

01:38:13.120 --> 01:38:15.840
that I see that you're screwing up on.

01:38:15.840 --> 01:38:17.000
That's a weirdo.

01:38:17.000 --> 01:38:18.080
That's a weirdo, right?

01:38:18.080 --> 01:38:20.640
And I love my pastor because he believes this verse.

01:38:20.640 --> 01:38:24.320
My pastor has fervent charity, right?

01:38:24.320 --> 01:38:25.640
And that's his son.

01:38:25.640 --> 01:38:28.440
I believe brother Reming has fervent charity too, right?

01:38:29.840 --> 01:38:30.940
You don't have to turn there,

01:38:30.940 --> 01:38:33.600
but the charity chapter in 1 Corinthians says,

01:38:33.600 --> 01:38:37.680
charity suffereth long and is kind.

01:38:37.680 --> 01:38:40.520
Charity envieth not, charity vaunteth not itself up,

01:38:40.520 --> 01:38:44.760
is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly,

01:38:44.760 --> 01:38:47.920
seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,

01:38:47.920 --> 01:38:52.060
thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity,

01:38:52.060 --> 01:38:55.280
but rejoiceth in truth, beareth all things.

01:38:55.920 --> 01:38:57.000
It didn't say beareth some things.

01:38:57.000 --> 01:38:59.040
Beareth all things, right?

01:38:59.040 --> 01:39:01.220
Believeth all things.

01:39:01.220 --> 01:39:03.520
And that doesn't mean like you just believe anything

01:39:03.520 --> 01:39:04.800
that even if it's not true, right?

01:39:04.800 --> 01:39:07.560
It means you think the best of somebody, right?

01:39:07.560 --> 01:39:10.760
You believe that, hey, their intentions are right.

01:39:10.760 --> 01:39:12.760
Maybe if you have a question about something,

01:39:12.760 --> 01:39:14.440
you could ask somebody about something too

01:39:14.440 --> 01:39:16.440
if you kind of disagree on a topic,

01:39:16.440 --> 01:39:19.800
but you're not thinking the worst of them, right?

01:39:19.800 --> 01:39:23.140
Hopeeth all things, endureth all things, right?

01:39:23.140 --> 01:39:26.540
It's best to believe the best about the brethren, right?

01:39:27.460 --> 01:39:29.460
And obviously we all say by faith we know that,

01:39:29.460 --> 01:39:33.500
but through our love of the word of God,

01:39:33.500 --> 01:39:36.580
we add to that faith charity, right?

01:39:37.900 --> 01:39:39.480
Content for that faith too.

01:39:39.480 --> 01:39:42.020
Second Peter 1.5 through seven says,

01:39:42.020 --> 01:39:44.220
"'And besides this, giving all diligence

01:39:44.220 --> 01:39:46.860
"'and to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,

01:39:46.860 --> 01:39:49.540
"'and to knowledge temperance, and temperance patience,

01:39:49.540 --> 01:39:51.840
"'and to patience godliness, and to godliness,

01:39:51.880 --> 01:39:53.160
"'and to brotherly kindness,

01:39:53.160 --> 01:39:56.840
"'and to brotherly kindness, charity.'"

01:39:56.840 --> 01:40:00.220
It's like the culmination of your faith, charity, right?

01:40:01.320 --> 01:40:03.360
And that's actually what will endure.

01:40:03.360 --> 01:40:04.960
It is the culmination of your faith,

01:40:04.960 --> 01:40:07.560
but if you show me someone who's just watching sermons

01:40:07.560 --> 01:40:08.940
to find something that's wrong,

01:40:08.940 --> 01:40:12.100
I'm gonna show you a wicked person with no charity, right?

01:40:13.040 --> 01:40:14.920
Probably has a lot of beams in their eye,

01:40:14.920 --> 01:40:17.840
but somehow with that impeded vision,

01:40:17.840 --> 01:40:20.000
they could see all your moats, right?

01:40:21.000 --> 01:40:23.600
It's like, and they're just waiting to point them out.

01:40:23.600 --> 01:40:25.040
It's just that critical person.

01:40:25.040 --> 01:40:27.400
It's like, hey, that's disgusting.

01:40:29.900 --> 01:40:31.900
It's something we should never do, right?

01:40:33.760 --> 01:40:35.560
We gotta contend for the right things.

01:40:35.560 --> 01:40:39.840
Stick to things too that you actually can know,

01:40:39.840 --> 01:40:41.560
I will add too, right?

01:40:41.560 --> 01:40:44.340
I hate this when people actually form their judgment

01:40:44.340 --> 01:40:46.540
of things they couldn't possibly know.

01:40:47.560 --> 01:40:49.080
Righteous judgment.

01:40:49.080 --> 01:40:52.080
It's not righteous judgment to base what you believe

01:40:52.080 --> 01:40:55.160
and think off of the things that you could not possibly know.

01:40:55.160 --> 01:40:57.640
I mean, I saw this happen a lot, really,

01:40:57.640 --> 01:41:00.880
in a lot of scenarios that would cause

01:41:00.880 --> 01:41:03.200
like the new IV drama and stuff like that, right?

01:41:03.200 --> 01:41:04.760
Even with Pastor Anderson, right?

01:41:04.760 --> 01:41:08.320
It's happened to our pastor, where people have made

01:41:08.320 --> 01:41:10.720
judgment against him for the things

01:41:10.720 --> 01:41:13.640
that they did not know at all.

01:41:13.640 --> 01:41:16.360
And it's wicked, because we're supposed

01:41:16.360 --> 01:41:18.020
to have righteous judgment.

01:41:18.020 --> 01:41:21.020
Righteous judgment means you would know it,

01:41:21.020 --> 01:41:23.240
because it's based on truth.

01:41:23.240 --> 01:41:25.740
It's based on actual truth,

01:41:25.740 --> 01:41:28.340
truth that you actually would know.

01:41:28.340 --> 01:41:30.700
And a lot of people do not know some of the things

01:41:30.700 --> 01:41:33.700
that they exhibit judgment on.

01:41:33.700 --> 01:41:34.740
I think that's wicked.

01:41:35.700 --> 01:41:38.380
You know, like for example, I have a strong opinion

01:41:38.380 --> 01:41:40.860
about who silenced Snakey, you know?

01:41:40.860 --> 01:41:44.500
But you guys don't know the Snakey story, probably.

01:41:44.500 --> 01:41:46.920
I see some confused looks over here, right?

01:41:46.960 --> 01:41:48.840
Maybe Brother Remy will tell you about Snakey.

01:41:48.840 --> 01:41:50.940
He preached about him in a sermon, you know?

01:41:50.940 --> 01:41:52.960
But I'm not gonna base my judgment

01:41:52.960 --> 01:41:55.760
against who I believe was the culprit.

01:41:55.760 --> 01:41:57.800
I wasn't there, right?

01:41:57.800 --> 01:42:00.280
So it's like, I couldn't possibly know.

01:42:00.280 --> 01:42:02.520
I wasn't in his house, right?

01:42:02.520 --> 01:42:04.720
So it's just an example that none of you know,

01:42:04.720 --> 01:42:06.760
because everyone looks confused right now,

01:42:06.760 --> 01:42:07.760
besides Brother Remy.

01:42:07.760 --> 01:42:09.540
But ask him about Snakey,

01:42:09.540 --> 01:42:11.600
maybe he'll bring it up in a sermon.

01:42:11.600 --> 01:42:14.740
But back to contending, turn to Matthew chapter six.

01:42:17.600 --> 01:42:19.760
If the word of God, oh man, I'm over, I'm sorry.

01:42:19.760 --> 01:42:21.940
If the word of God, though, is as important

01:42:21.940 --> 01:42:23.960
as we believe that it is,

01:42:25.880 --> 01:42:27.800
God has to have preserved it.

01:42:30.640 --> 01:42:31.860
He has to have preserved it,

01:42:31.860 --> 01:42:33.180
because Romans 5.13 says,

01:42:33.180 --> 01:42:34.800
"'For until the law, sin was in the world,

01:42:34.800 --> 01:42:37.540
"'but sin is not imputed when there is no law.'"

01:42:37.540 --> 01:42:39.160
So if there wasn't any law of God,

01:42:39.160 --> 01:42:41.660
sin wouldn't be imputed on us.

01:42:41.660 --> 01:42:44.360
They had to know what they're doing wrong, right?

01:42:44.360 --> 01:42:45.920
They had to have been told by God.

01:42:45.920 --> 01:42:49.320
But if you can't even trust the accuracy of it,

01:42:49.320 --> 01:42:50.680
if he didn't preserve it,

01:42:50.680 --> 01:42:52.680
if you couldn't say that this is really what,

01:42:52.680 --> 01:42:54.280
thus saith the Lord,

01:42:54.280 --> 01:42:56.200
I mean, that'd be kind of mean

01:42:56.200 --> 01:42:58.040
if he held it against you then.

01:42:58.040 --> 01:42:59.900
I mean, it has to be preserved.

01:43:03.320 --> 01:43:04.480
Job said,

01:43:04.480 --> 01:43:06.200
"'But he knoweth the way that I take,

01:43:06.200 --> 01:43:07.980
"'when he hath tried me, I shall come forth his goal,

01:43:07.980 --> 01:43:10.060
"'and my foot hath held his steps,

01:43:10.060 --> 01:43:11.740
"'his way have I kept and not declined,

01:43:11.740 --> 01:43:13.740
"'neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips,

01:43:13.740 --> 01:43:16.580
"'I have esteemed the words of his mouth

01:43:16.580 --> 01:43:18.740
"'more than my necessary food.'"

01:43:20.140 --> 01:43:24.220
So it's better than your food, the word of God.

01:43:24.220 --> 01:43:26.880
It's more important and necessary to you

01:43:26.880 --> 01:43:27.980
than the food that we eat,

01:43:27.980 --> 01:43:30.020
which if you don't eat it, you'll die.

01:43:30.020 --> 01:43:32.780
So if it's that important,

01:43:32.780 --> 01:43:35.180
if God is gonna test us by it, right,

01:43:35.180 --> 01:43:36.600
he's going to prove us.

01:43:36.600 --> 01:43:37.860
That's what he does.

01:43:37.860 --> 01:43:40.820
That's why it is important not to just get saved

01:43:40.820 --> 01:43:43.380
any which way you want, although you can.

01:43:43.380 --> 01:43:45.660
But it's not a good way to live, right?

01:43:45.660 --> 01:43:48.180
Or your obedience is gonna be tied directly

01:43:48.180 --> 01:43:51.820
to how much you actually read that word of God

01:43:51.820 --> 01:43:55.020
and hear that word of God and do it also, right?

01:43:55.020 --> 01:43:56.620
Not for your salvation, right?

01:43:56.620 --> 01:43:58.940
For James 2, you know, faith without works is dead,

01:43:58.940 --> 01:44:00.880
is because it's alone,

01:44:00.880 --> 01:44:02.260
because you're not doing the things

01:44:02.260 --> 01:44:05.100
that would show people that you have that faith

01:44:05.100 --> 01:44:07.800
and that you love God and that you love your fellow man.

01:44:07.800 --> 01:44:10.500
You know, you should be doing the things of God, you should,

01:44:10.500 --> 01:44:13.180
but you only must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

01:44:13.180 --> 01:44:15.700
We all know that, right?

01:44:15.700 --> 01:44:20.700
And I told you to turn to Matthew 6, 11.

01:44:22.060 --> 01:44:24.100
It says, give us this day our daily bread.

01:44:25.540 --> 01:44:26.980
I guess I didn't have to have you turn all the way there

01:44:26.980 --> 01:44:28.900
for that, I could have just told you that one.

01:44:28.900 --> 01:44:31.940
I just wanted you to turn to Psalm.

01:44:31.940 --> 01:44:35.100
I didn't include that in here, turn to this very often.

01:44:35.100 --> 01:44:38.660
But you know, it's, God will prove what's in your heart.

01:44:38.660 --> 01:44:41.100
He is, the word of God is a discerner of the thoughts

01:44:41.100 --> 01:44:42.140
and intents of the heart.

01:44:42.140 --> 01:44:44.260
So again, it's gotta be preserved

01:44:44.260 --> 01:44:46.580
if it's what's used to discern the thoughts

01:44:46.580 --> 01:44:47.900
and intents of our heart.

01:44:47.900 --> 01:44:50.100
And we know that that is true.

01:44:50.100 --> 01:44:52.740
I mean, there's so many verses, it's like,

01:44:52.740 --> 01:44:55.060
I'm already over, but like, there's just tons of verses.

01:44:55.060 --> 01:44:57.860
Thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law,

01:44:57.860 --> 01:44:59.260
it says in Deuteronomy.

01:44:59.260 --> 01:45:03.140
It says, cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words

01:45:03.140 --> 01:45:05.820
of this law to do them, and all the people shall say,

01:45:05.820 --> 01:45:06.660
Amen.

01:45:06.660 --> 01:45:07.740
Amen.

01:45:07.740 --> 01:45:09.420
Maybe not all the people, but.

01:45:09.420 --> 01:45:11.400
We're in church, but that is what the verse said.

01:45:11.400 --> 01:45:12.480
I'm just reading the verse.

01:45:12.480 --> 01:45:17.000
You know, but, thou shalt not go aside from any of the words

01:45:17.000 --> 01:45:18.760
which I command thee this day, God said,

01:45:18.760 --> 01:45:20.560
to the right hand or to the left,

01:45:20.560 --> 01:45:22.440
to go to other gods to serve them.

01:45:22.440 --> 01:45:24.560
But yet, he didn't preserve it.

01:45:24.560 --> 01:45:27.720
But you can't go to the right or the left.

01:45:27.720 --> 01:45:29.960
But you can't know, it's just like the map's

01:45:29.960 --> 01:45:31.640
all screwed up though.

01:45:31.640 --> 01:45:32.920
It doesn't make any sense.

01:45:32.920 --> 01:45:34.920
He says all the words.

01:45:34.920 --> 01:45:37.620
Do these scoffers have an all the word Bible?

01:45:38.960 --> 01:45:40.280
They don't.

01:45:41.000 --> 01:45:42.440
But we do.

01:45:42.440 --> 01:45:45.360
I mean, it's insane.

01:45:45.360 --> 01:45:47.160
I mean, it is insane.

01:45:47.160 --> 01:45:50.200
And just because I've got way too much, way too many pages.

01:45:50.200 --> 01:45:53.120
I told Brother Remy I probably could have done a part two.

01:45:54.160 --> 01:45:58.680
But, it's like, there's a, let's just turn to Isaiah

01:45:58.680 --> 01:46:01.540
chapter 40, we'll just finish with this one.

01:46:01.540 --> 01:46:04.820
Look, the attack though on the King James Bible is real.

01:46:04.820 --> 01:46:09.820
It is something that like, it should make us want

01:46:09.820 --> 01:46:11.300
to defend it, it really should.

01:46:11.300 --> 01:46:15.220
And with the Bible, but also learn what you can

01:46:15.220 --> 01:46:18.820
about some of these points that people use against us.

01:46:18.820 --> 01:46:22.580
Because we do know that if God says anything

01:46:22.580 --> 01:46:26.300
that's not true, then God is a liar.

01:46:26.300 --> 01:46:28.060
And God is not a liar.

01:46:28.060 --> 01:46:29.140
We know that.

01:46:29.140 --> 01:46:31.700
None of those people would say that they believe that he is,

01:46:31.700 --> 01:46:33.860
but they have to actually believe that

01:46:33.860 --> 01:46:35.740
to say that he couldn't preserve the word of God

01:46:35.740 --> 01:46:38.540
because there's just too many verses that have been.

01:46:40.500 --> 01:46:44.180
That speak to him saying, hey, not one jot or tittle.

01:46:44.180 --> 01:46:46.740
Don't change it, your name's getting removed

01:46:46.740 --> 01:46:47.820
from the book of life.

01:46:47.820 --> 01:46:51.380
I mean, the consequences are pretty dire, right?

01:46:51.380 --> 01:46:56.140
But yet, still, it's not preserved.

01:46:56.140 --> 01:46:59.780
It doesn't make sense at all.

01:46:59.780 --> 01:47:02.740
And it should cause us to just wanna really be

01:47:02.740 --> 01:47:04.140
well-versed on the topic.

01:47:04.140 --> 01:47:08.920
Isaiah 48 says, the grass witheredeth, the flower fadedeth,

01:47:08.960 --> 01:47:13.960
but the words of our God shall stand forever.

01:47:13.980 --> 01:47:15.720
Forever, believe that.

01:47:15.720 --> 01:47:17.280
We believe that, right?

01:47:17.280 --> 01:47:19.200
I know it's an echo chamber a bit in here.

01:47:19.200 --> 01:47:20.400
I can even hear it in the mic.

01:47:20.400 --> 01:47:25.400
But it is true, and we have to be willing to scream

01:47:26.320 --> 01:47:29.320
that from the housetops and be proud of it.

01:47:29.320 --> 01:47:30.360
Be proud of it.

01:47:30.360 --> 01:47:33.880
There are actually, I'll just say this just to say

01:47:33.880 --> 01:47:35.000
it's kind of embarrassing.

01:47:35.000 --> 01:47:37.360
There was a time where sometimes I didn't wanna wear

01:47:37.360 --> 01:47:40.560
my KJV-only shirt just because somebody might look at me

01:47:40.560 --> 01:47:42.640
and say something weird because I started getting

01:47:42.640 --> 01:47:47.120
so much grief for it when I had just become KJV-only

01:47:47.120 --> 01:47:51.160
and stuff like, you wanna support and stuff like that.

01:47:51.160 --> 01:47:52.800
Don't be like that.

01:47:52.800 --> 01:47:56.720
Don't let the world conform you into their ways of thinking.

01:47:56.720 --> 01:47:59.160
Stand on the word of God because we do have a Bible

01:47:59.160 --> 01:48:00.080
we can count on.

01:48:00.080 --> 01:48:03.040
We know it, but let's read it, let's study it,

01:48:03.040 --> 01:48:04.400
meditate on it.

01:48:04.400 --> 01:48:06.580
Every day is our daily bread.

01:48:06.580 --> 01:48:10.500
And let's support the KJV-only stance.

01:48:10.500 --> 01:48:12.060
Contend for the faith with that.

01:48:12.060 --> 01:48:12.900
Let's pray.

01:48:12.900 --> 01:48:14.340
Dear Heavenly Father, I just thank you for the word of God.

01:48:14.340 --> 01:48:16.220
I thank you for how much it means to us

01:48:16.220 --> 01:48:18.020
for every aspect of our lives.

01:48:18.020 --> 01:48:21.300
I pray that we would all just grow in faith and charity

01:48:21.300 --> 01:48:23.140
and that we would cherish the word of God

01:48:23.140 --> 01:48:25.700
and study it and memorize it and learn it

01:48:25.700 --> 01:48:29.300
and just seek to please you and be pleasing in your sight,

01:48:29.300 --> 01:48:30.140
Lord.

01:48:30.140 --> 01:48:32.660
Help us out slowly today and for the remainder of the day

01:48:32.660 --> 01:48:33.500
as well.

01:48:33.500 --> 01:48:34.320
In Jesus' name, amen.

01:48:34.320 --> 01:48:35.160
Amen.

01:48:36.580 --> 01:48:37.420
Amen.

01:48:42.460 --> 01:48:44.220
All right, if you wanna go ahead and take your hymn rolls,

01:48:44.220 --> 01:48:46.580
we're gonna turn to page number 44.

01:48:51.940 --> 01:48:54.820
Page number 44.

01:48:57.300 --> 01:48:59.140
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:49:02.980 --> 01:49:05.180
Page number 44.

01:49:06.580 --> 01:49:09.340
["Land of Rest"]

01:49:14.460 --> 01:49:19.380
O land of rest for thee we sigh,

01:49:19.380 --> 01:49:24.140
when will the moment come

01:49:24.140 --> 01:49:29.020
when I shall lay my armor by

01:49:29.020 --> 01:49:33.660
and dwell in peace at home.

01:49:33.700 --> 01:49:38.580
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:49:38.580 --> 01:49:43.260
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:49:43.260 --> 01:49:47.980
We'll work till Jesus comes

01:49:47.980 --> 01:49:52.700
and we'll be gathered home.

01:49:52.700 --> 01:49:57.700
To Jesus Christ I flee for as he bade me cease to roam

01:49:57.700 --> 01:50:02.700
and lean for succor on his breast

01:50:02.700 --> 01:50:07.700
till he'll be gathered home.

01:50:07.700 --> 01:50:12.700
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:50:12.700 --> 01:50:17.700
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:50:17.700 --> 01:50:22.700
We'll work till Jesus comes

01:50:22.700 --> 01:50:25.700
and we'll be gathered home.

01:50:25.700 --> 01:50:30.700
I sought out once my Savior's side,

01:50:30.700 --> 01:50:34.700
no more my steps shall roam.

01:50:34.700 --> 01:50:39.700
With him I'll breathe much chilling tide

01:50:39.700 --> 01:50:44.700
and reach my heavenly home.

01:50:44.700 --> 01:50:49.700
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:50:49.700 --> 01:50:54.700
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:50:54.700 --> 01:50:59.700
We'll work till Jesus comes.

01:50:59.700 --> 01:51:04.700
We'll work till Jesus comes

01:51:04.700 --> 01:51:07.700
and we'll be gathered home.

01:51:07.700 --> 01:51:09.700
Alright, excellent singing everybody.

01:51:09.700 --> 01:51:11.700
Brother Paul, would you please close the door of prayer?

01:51:11.700 --> 01:51:13.700
Thank you so much for allowing us to give this press.

01:51:13.700 --> 01:51:17.700
We have finally announced that the Lord gave us truly pure words

01:51:17.700 --> 01:51:20.700
so that it's not defiled in the world.

01:51:20.700 --> 01:51:21.700
Amen.

01:51:24.700 --> 01:51:25.700
Amen.
