WEBVTT

25:30.000 --> 25:45.480
Alright everybody, welcome to everybody's about to search.

25:45.480 --> 25:46.480
You can find your seats and grab a song.

25:46.480 --> 25:47.480
Let's turn to page number 196.

25:47.480 --> 25:55.720
We're going to be singing I Will Sing the Wonder Story.

25:55.720 --> 25:57.900
Page number 196.

25:57.900 --> 26:11.420
I Will Sing the Wonder Story.

26:11.420 --> 26:12.420
Song number 196.

26:12.420 --> 26:14.620
Let's sing it out on the first.

26:14.620 --> 26:22.740
I will sing the wonder story of the Christ who died for me.

26:22.740 --> 26:31.360
How he left his home in glory for the cross of Calvary.

26:31.360 --> 26:42.760
Yes I'll sing the wonder story of the Christ who died for me.

26:43.260 --> 26:54.100
Sing it with the saints in glory gathered by the crystal sea.

26:54.100 --> 27:02.580
I was lost but Jesus found me, found the sheet that went astray.

27:02.580 --> 27:11.460
Through his loving arms around me drew me back into his way.

27:11.560 --> 27:22.640
Yes I'll sing the wonder story of the Christ who died for me.

27:22.640 --> 27:34.120
Sing it with the saints in glory gathered by the crystal sea.

27:34.140 --> 27:42.460
I was bruised but Jesus healed me, fame was I from many a foe.

27:42.460 --> 27:51.340
Side was gone and fears possessed me but he freed me from them all.

27:51.340 --> 28:02.700
Yes I'll sing the wonder story of the Christ who died for me.

28:02.720 --> 28:14.240
Sing it with the saints in glory gathered by the crystal sea.

28:14.240 --> 28:22.640
Days of darkness still come o'er me, sorrows past I often tread.

28:22.640 --> 28:31.680
But the Savior still is with me, by his hand I'm safely led.

28:31.700 --> 28:42.820
Yes I'll sing the wonder story of the Christ who died for me.

28:42.820 --> 28:53.180
Sing it with the saints in glory gathered by the crystal sea.

28:54.120 --> 29:02.680
He will keep me till the river rolls its waters at my feet.

29:02.680 --> 29:11.560
Then he'll bear me safely over where the loved ones I shall meet.

29:11.560 --> 29:22.880
Yes I'll sing the wonder story of the Christ who died for me.

29:22.880 --> 29:34.180
Sing it with the saints in glory gathered by the crystal sea.

29:52.880 --> 29:54.880
My faith has found a resting place.

29:54.880 --> 30:00.880
Song number 150, My faith has found a resting place.

30:00.880 --> 30:06.880
Song 150.

30:06.880 --> 30:14.880
Song 150, let's sing it on the first.

30:14.880 --> 30:23.880
My faith has found a resting place, not in device nor creed.

30:23.880 --> 30:32.880
I trust the ever living one, his wounds for me shall plead.

30:32.880 --> 30:42.880
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

30:42.880 --> 30:51.880
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

30:51.880 --> 31:00.880
Enough for me that Jesus says this ends my fear and doubt.

31:00.880 --> 31:09.880
A sinful soul I come to him, he'll never cast me out.

31:09.880 --> 31:19.880
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

31:19.880 --> 31:28.880
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

31:28.880 --> 31:37.880
My heart is leaning on the word, the written word of God.

31:37.880 --> 31:46.880
Salvation by my Savior's name, salvation through his blood.

31:46.880 --> 31:55.880
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

31:55.880 --> 32:04.880
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

32:04.880 --> 32:13.880
My great physician heals the sick, the lost he came to save.

32:13.880 --> 32:21.880
For me his precious blood he shed, for me his life he gave.

32:21.880 --> 32:30.880
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

32:30.880 --> 32:38.880
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

32:38.880 --> 32:41.880
Amen. Good to see you. At this time we'll have our announcements.

32:45.880 --> 32:50.880
Good morning everyone. The verse of the week is Proverbs 11, verse 1.

32:50.880 --> 32:53.880
Proverbs 11, verse 1.

32:53.880 --> 32:59.880
A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just wait is his delight.

32:59.880 --> 33:02.880
Proverbs 11, verse 1.

33:02.880 --> 33:07.880
Service times for this morning at 10.30 and 3.30 this afternoon, 6.30 on Wednesdays.

33:07.880 --> 33:12.880
Solving times for yesterday at 12.30 and today at 1.00.

33:12.880 --> 33:18.880
Salvation for February 11 and for March so far is 25.

33:18.880 --> 33:24.880
Amen. So that brings us to a total of 46 so far, halfway through March.

33:24.880 --> 33:28.880
We're almost halfway to the goal Remy sent out for us, so God bless.

33:28.880 --> 33:33.880
That does not mean slow down by the way, but it just means, hey we set a goal,

33:33.880 --> 33:39.880
we go out there, we be faithful, hey we're going to make it,

33:39.880 --> 33:43.880
I think we're going to make it halfway through, like before halfway, so that's just great.

33:43.880 --> 33:48.880
So attendance is down below. Upcoming events.

33:48.880 --> 33:54.880
We're in the middle of a Bible memory challenge, not just for the kids,

33:54.880 --> 34:00.880
it is for all, I think, if the kids can do it, but also for all those that, you know,

34:00.880 --> 34:06.880
hoary heads as well, that hey, it's Psalms 23, I know I've looked at it,

34:06.880 --> 34:10.880
I'm not ready to reverse, you know, say it all myself, about four of the verses down,

34:10.880 --> 34:13.880
but hey, it's for everyone. It's a beautiful verse.

34:13.880 --> 34:20.880
It's a verse that multiple, sorry, it's multiple chapter, or that psalm,

34:20.880 --> 34:24.880
is quoted in many ways, in many parts. It has many parts and it's quoted so much

34:24.880 --> 34:28.880
because it has so many beautiful verses in it. So it's a beautiful choice, I think,

34:28.880 --> 34:32.880
to start with our Bible memory verse. So hey, if you can memorize that,

34:32.880 --> 34:36.880
you got Brother Remy or Miss Kylie to recite it, and there's a small reward.

34:36.880 --> 34:40.880
So that's a great thing. March 29th, coming up very quickly,

34:40.880 --> 34:46.880
is the church anniversary weekend. Pastor Thompson is preaching both Sunday services,

34:46.880 --> 34:51.880
and more details will come. We've got a couple more weeks.

34:51.880 --> 34:56.880
April 1st is Lord's Supper, and no, that's not a joke. It's Lord's Supper.

34:56.880 --> 35:01.880
We're going to be doing that Wednesday night, so good to have that coming up.

35:01.880 --> 35:04.880
It's amazing. Easter's just coming right around the corner,

35:04.880 --> 35:10.880
because April 5th will be Easter Sunday, and basically we'll have a kids message,

35:10.880 --> 35:14.880
Easter service, so hey, and a pot look after the morning service.

35:14.880 --> 35:19.880
Hey, if you got family, friends, anyone you haven't felt comfortable inviting them,

35:19.880 --> 35:22.880
maybe just on regular week, hey, Easter is one of those times.

35:22.880 --> 35:26.880
We all have those family members or friends we know at most.

35:26.880 --> 35:30.880
They're Christmas, Easter, Christian, or even not even Christian.

35:30.880 --> 35:33.880
It's a good time to invite people, so let's see if we can get a few more people

35:33.880 --> 35:39.880
to visit for this Easter. April 12th will be the next men's preaching night,

35:39.880 --> 35:44.880
so looking forward to that. Just under a month to prepare for that,

35:44.880 --> 35:48.880
so we'll get probably in a couple more weeks those men that are going to volunteer for that,

35:48.880 --> 35:54.880
so looking forward to that. April 18th will be the Nez Prez Soul Winning,

35:54.880 --> 36:00.880
which will be down in Idaho. I'm going to mess up Orpheno.

36:00.880 --> 36:06.880
Or-o-fee-no. I apologize. Orpheno, and we're going to be also doing that

36:06.880 --> 36:11.880
with an Idaho church plant, so Brother David is going to come up as well.

36:11.880 --> 36:16.880
More details coming out, but hey, I mean the college was a great success.

36:16.880 --> 36:22.880
This should be a great success too, and if nothing else, what a beautiful trip to go down to.

36:22.880 --> 36:27.880
It is a beautiful part of the country. So those are upcoming events, a lot of things coming up.

36:27.880 --> 36:34.880
I know there's some traveling next week as well, but just pray for everyone's safety as they travel.

36:34.880 --> 36:39.880
Kids, your memory verse is Proverbs 16, verse 18.

36:39.880 --> 36:45.880
Proverbs 16, verse 18. Pride goeth before the destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

36:45.880 --> 36:50.880
Amen. That is just such a key verse. If you want to live a good life, if you can keep that in your mind,

36:50.880 --> 36:54.880
well, no matter your age, that is a very powerful verse.

36:54.880 --> 36:59.880
Rules are all the same down below. Highs are the same.

36:59.880 --> 37:07.880
Upcoming birthdays, just keep Caleb, which is tomorrow's, Kutsars in prayer.

37:07.880 --> 37:12.880
Obviously they're out for their newborn still, but keep them in prayer.

37:14.880 --> 37:19.880
We'll sing Caleb a birthday song. Anniversaries are coming up at the later of the month.

37:19.880 --> 37:25.880
The 30th will be the Grabers, the 31st will be the Hansons, so just keep that in mind.

37:25.880 --> 37:32.880
If you have any other prayer requests, please let the Thompson's know. They will get it into their prayer bulletin as well.

37:55.880 --> 37:57.880
Thank you.

38:25.880 --> 38:27.880
Thank you.

38:55.880 --> 38:57.880
Thank you.

39:25.880 --> 39:27.880
Thank you.

39:55.880 --> 39:57.880
Thank you.

40:25.880 --> 40:27.880
Amen.

40:36.880 --> 40:42.880
All right, our next song is song number 174. My Jesus, I love thee.

40:42.880 --> 40:47.880
Song number 174, My Jesus, I love thee.

40:55.880 --> 40:57.880
Song number 174.

41:02.880 --> 41:04.880
Song 174, let's get on the first.

41:04.880 --> 41:14.880
My Jesus, I love thee. I know thou art mine.

41:14.880 --> 41:24.880
For thee, O the follies of sin, I resign.

41:24.880 --> 41:34.880
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art thou.

41:34.880 --> 41:44.880
If ever I love thee, my Jesus, tis now.

41:44.880 --> 41:53.880
I love thee because thou hast first loved me.

41:53.880 --> 42:03.880
And purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree.

42:03.880 --> 42:13.880
I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow.

42:13.880 --> 42:23.880
If ever I love thee, my Jesus, tis now.

42:23.880 --> 42:32.880
I'll love thee in life. I will love thee in death.

42:32.880 --> 42:42.880
And praise thee as long as thou letest me breath.

42:42.880 --> 42:51.880
And say when the death due lies cold on my brow.

42:51.880 --> 43:01.880
If ever I love thee, my Jesus, tis now.

43:01.880 --> 43:10.880
In mansions of glory and endless delight.

43:10.880 --> 43:19.880
I'll ever adore thee in heaven so bright.

43:19.880 --> 43:29.880
I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow.

43:29.880 --> 43:38.880
If ever I love thee, my Jesus, tis now.

43:38.880 --> 43:42.880
Amen. Good scene. This time we'll have our offering.

43:42.880 --> 43:45.880
Brother Paul, could you bless the offering for us?

44:08.880 --> 44:10.880
Amen.

44:38.880 --> 44:46.880
Good morning everybody. If you could go ahead and take your Bibles and turn to Psalm 11.

44:46.880 --> 44:54.880
Psalm 11 will be our text this morning and as always here at our church we read the entire chapter before the preaching.

44:54.880 --> 45:03.880
Or excuse me, Psalm 11. I meant Proverbs 11. I apologize. Turn your Bibles to Proverbs 11.

45:03.880 --> 45:11.880
The Bible reads, A false balance is abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.

45:11.880 --> 45:17.880
When pride cometh, then cometh shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.

45:17.880 --> 45:25.880
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

45:25.880 --> 45:32.880
Riches profit not in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivereth from death.

45:32.880 --> 45:40.880
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

45:40.880 --> 45:48.880
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

45:48.880 --> 45:59.880
When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish, and the hope of the unjust and the hope of unjust men shall perish it.

45:59.880 --> 46:05.880
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

46:05.880 --> 46:13.880
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor, but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

46:13.880 --> 46:21.880
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth, and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

46:21.880 --> 46:29.880
By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

46:29.880 --> 46:36.880
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbor, but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

46:36.880 --> 46:44.880
A tale-bearer revealeth secrets, but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

46:44.880 --> 46:51.880
Where no counsel is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

46:51.880 --> 46:59.880
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it, and he that hateth suretyship is sure.

46:59.880 --> 47:06.880
A gracious woman retaineth honor, and strong men retain riches.

47:06.880 --> 47:14.880
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul, but he that is cruel troubleeth his own flesh.

47:14.880 --> 47:24.880
The wicked worketh a deceitful work, but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

47:24.880 --> 47:33.880
As righteousness tendeth to life, so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

47:33.880 --> 47:43.880
They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord, but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

47:43.880 --> 47:52.880
Though hand joined in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished, but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

47:52.880 --> 48:01.880
As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

48:01.880 --> 48:09.880
The desire of the righteous is only good, but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

48:09.880 --> 48:19.880
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth, and there is that withholdeth more than is meat, but tendeth to poverty.

48:19.880 --> 48:26.880
The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

48:26.880 --> 48:34.880
He that withholdeth corn the people shall curse him, but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

48:34.880 --> 48:43.880
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favor, but he that seeketh mischief it shall come unto him.

48:43.880 --> 48:51.880
He that trusteth in his own riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

48:51.880 --> 48:59.880
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind, and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

48:59.880 --> 49:06.880
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise.

49:06.880 --> 49:15.880
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth, much more the wicked and the sinner.

49:15.880 --> 49:18.880
Brother Jake, could you please pray for the preaching?

49:21.880 --> 49:32.880
Amen.

49:32.880 --> 49:35.880
Amen. All right, we're there in Proverbs chapter number 11.

49:35.880 --> 49:38.880
We're going to look in at verse number 1, where the Bible says,

49:38.880 --> 49:43.880
A false balance is abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.

49:43.880 --> 49:47.880
And the title of my sermon this morning is A False Balance. Let's pray.

49:47.880 --> 49:50.880
Tell me, God, thank you so much for this wonderful day. Thank you so much for everything you do for us, God.

49:50.880 --> 49:52.880
Thank you so much for this church, God, and for everybody that showed up this morning, God.

49:52.880 --> 49:58.880
Thank you so much for the people that I know would show up if they weren't sick or having some kind of other ailment in their life, God.

49:58.880 --> 50:02.880
Thank you so much for the members of this church, God, who want to hear your word preached, God,

50:02.880 --> 50:06.880
and that I know that even when they're not attending in person, God, or listening online,

50:06.880 --> 50:09.880
I just thank you so much for all the blessings that you give for us.

50:09.880 --> 50:14.880
And thank you so much about all these things, God, for the people that we've been able to get saved this year, Lord.

50:14.880 --> 50:17.880
I just pray that, Lord, willing, you help us to get even more people saved.

50:17.880 --> 50:23.880
And I just pray that we could conquer the goal that we have for a hundred and go well past that if it's in your will, God.

50:23.880 --> 50:25.880
I pray that you be with me right now as I preach this sermon, God.

50:25.880 --> 50:31.880
Help me to preach words to the edifying people in this room and help me not to say what you don't want me to say and help me to say boldly what you do want me to say.

50:31.880 --> 50:34.880
Help me to go with the Holy Spirit. Just let me pray. Amen.

50:34.880 --> 50:37.880
Tell me about something like I said, again, is a false balance.

50:37.880 --> 50:40.880
And we're here in Proverbs 11. Today I'm going to be talking about money.

50:40.880 --> 50:43.880
And usually that would involve tithing.

50:43.880 --> 50:47.880
But we actually just talked about the topic of tithing in my first Corinthians 11.

50:47.880 --> 50:50.880
I wasn't even first with these letters. Actually, a couple of times back before that.

50:50.880 --> 50:53.880
Maybe it was eight. There's only parts now I even get lost myself.

50:53.880 --> 50:58.880
But somewhere in the Corinthian spectrum, there was a sermon about tithing.

50:58.880 --> 51:05.880
OK, so I'm not really be talking about it today or this morning, but I'm going to be talking about principles concerning money.

51:05.880 --> 51:12.880
And the first thing I want to bring up in this sermon is the structure of how our church works for transparency sake.

51:12.880 --> 51:15.880
And I'm sure that you all probably know this, but I felt like it was a good introduction.

51:15.880 --> 51:20.880
And it's a good thing to bring up every once in a while because there are people that are coming that are new really don't quite understand this.

51:20.880 --> 51:30.880
So the first thing I want to bring is that at this church, we are a church plant of Sher Foundation Baptist Church in Vancouver, Washington,

51:30.880 --> 51:35.880
which is to say that I am not pastor of this church. I'm a church plant leader.

51:35.880 --> 51:39.880
Now, sometimes you'll have people that are ordained as evangelists as church plant leaders.

51:39.880 --> 51:49.880
But this is not the case for me. But I am just a church plant leader and our pastor is Pastor Aaron Thompson in like I said, who happens to be my dad.

51:49.880 --> 51:58.880
And so when it comes to leadership and things like that, anything that's not delegated to me here is the responsibility and the decision of our pastor.

51:58.880 --> 52:07.880
And any kind of giant decisions or any doctrinal decisions or all decisions based on money is decided by our pastor, Pastor Aaron Thompson.

52:07.880 --> 52:19.880
And all of our ties go to Pastor Thompson. And the reason I air quote that is because really he's using the ties that we give him to pay the bills that we have here.

52:19.880 --> 52:24.880
So it's not like it's just like we're scraping by while he's like just hoarding all this money from these church plants.

52:24.880 --> 52:32.880
As a matter of fact, he is in the negative for this church. OK, so if people because people sometimes will be like, oh, yeah, it's the big money making scheme.

52:32.880 --> 52:41.880
It's like it's not a good one. If that's the case, it's like people like first of all, if you were trying to make money, you would keep as many church plans as you possibly can.

52:41.880 --> 52:47.880
But we see that that's not the case because our pastors are named to leaders and they're independent.

52:47.880 --> 52:50.880
They're not connected financially at all now. So that doesn't make sense.

52:50.880 --> 52:55.880
And also you wouldn't keep a plant on for, you know, five years if it was in the negative.

52:55.880 --> 52:59.880
If you're scared, if your plan was money. But the thing is, my dad doesn't care about the money.

52:59.880 --> 53:07.880
He wants to get people safe and praise God that we have people in this church that share his same vision and want people to get saved because make no mistake about it.

53:07.880 --> 53:10.880
And this is how to do my sermon. I always want to make sure that this is clear.

53:10.880 --> 53:19.880
The main purpose of this church, as long as I'm on site here, will always be getting people safe, will always be reaching this area with the gospel.

53:19.880 --> 53:25.880
That's why we need church plants. That's why we need people in the low Spokane area.

53:25.880 --> 53:31.880
That's why we don't all just move to Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Vancouver, because there's people here that need the gospel.

53:31.880 --> 53:36.880
But I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself, but I will just say again that if this is the money making scheme, it's not the good.

53:36.880 --> 53:44.880
It's not a good one. It's like I don't know anybody that's ever seen these videos on YouTube, but they'll have these Wall Street bets videos where these guys will like lose like hundreds of thousand dollars

53:44.880 --> 53:49.880
because they're putting money into the stock market and like dumb options and then they lose it all.

53:49.880 --> 53:58.880
But one of the memes that they'll always say in that is like, well, on the bright side, you might have lost, you know, $300,000, but you have permanent tax write offs for the rest of your life.

53:58.880 --> 54:04.880
It's like that's what it kind of reminds me of with this. It's like if that's the case, it's like the plan is to just have a tax write off.

54:04.880 --> 54:11.880
But this is nonsense. Clearly, I'm sure you got I'm confident that you got to see the heart of my dad as our pastor.

54:11.880 --> 54:19.880
But simply put, this all leads to this is that without this formula of a church plant, we would have no church here to go to in Spokane, Washington.

54:19.880 --> 54:24.880
Obviously, we go to a local one, but not one that we agree with doctrinally completely.

54:24.880 --> 54:33.880
And so there is a need for church plants, kind of like what I was just saying a little bit earlier that, you know, where because people this is this one that want to say about this.

54:33.880 --> 54:37.880
Some people will ask sometimes like, why do we have these church plants? What's the deal with this?

54:37.880 --> 54:43.880
You know, like, why do we have, you know, different church plants in like the UK or we did right in Canada and in Yakima?

54:43.880 --> 54:52.880
What's the point of this? It is again, it's to read that local area to Jesus Christ because unfortunately nowadays, Baptists have dropped the torch when it comes to soul winning.

54:52.880 --> 54:55.880
They dropped the torch when it comes to lots of doctrines, truly.

54:55.880 --> 55:04.880
But when we have a church plant that is from Church Foundation Baptist Church or any other of our like minded friends that believe us or believe like us on these doctrines,

55:04.880 --> 55:18.880
it makes it easier for people to gather together and hear good preaching and then to go out into their community and preach the proper gospel, not just repenting your sins, not just leaving a flyer on the door and booking away, but like real soul winning.

55:18.880 --> 55:21.880
So that's why we have this. And this is good for multiple reasons.

55:21.880 --> 55:31.880
Like even if you just think about this practically like for a church plant, number one, it allows a man to transition into being a leader rather than just being thrown right into the fire of being a pastor.

55:31.880 --> 55:34.880
And you can see how that's helpful because some people don't last the test of time.

55:34.880 --> 55:40.880
And there's some people that are wolves in sheep's clothing that you think are good people and they turn out to be deceivers.

55:40.880 --> 55:46.880
But when you have someone running a church plant for a little while, it allows you to see, hey, if they're really cut out for it or not.

55:46.880 --> 55:53.880
Yeah. But then it also allows a man to prove himself that he can handle being a leader, handle preaching the sermons, handle dealing with people.

55:53.880 --> 55:56.880
Because there's this thing about being a pastor or even being a preacher.

55:56.880 --> 55:59.880
There's so many aspects of it. Like we will also just think about the preaching.

55:59.880 --> 56:02.880
But it's like you have to counsel people. You have to make good decisions.

56:02.880 --> 56:06.880
You have to look at judgments and make the right judgment on something.

56:06.880 --> 56:09.880
You have to deal with people when they're not getting along.

56:09.880 --> 56:12.880
There's so many things that go into it. It's not just the preaching.

56:12.880 --> 56:17.880
The preaching is just on top of all of it. And of course, it's a huge point, but there's much more into being a leader.

56:17.880 --> 56:23.880
So when you're a church plant leader, it allows you to, you know, brave that transition a little bit better.

56:23.880 --> 56:35.880
But I'd also just say again that it allows that local community to reach their area with the gospel, because if we all just if every church plant was all in Vancouver, I don't even know if everybody could even move there.

56:35.880 --> 56:40.880
That just sounds like anyways, right? It's like, well, let's pack up and go to the promised land.

56:40.880 --> 56:46.880
But it's like when we're all spread out like this, it allows this area to be reached with the gospel or wherever the church plant is.

56:46.880 --> 56:59.880
But I say all this in this room this morning to you all because of the fact that I want to understand that a church plant, as good of an idea as it is, is not meant to be attached to its mother church forever.

56:59.880 --> 57:09.880
Eventually, they're supposed to come a day when the the the on site leader or some other man that's qualified that wants to fill that role gets hands laid on him.

57:09.880 --> 57:16.880
He's ordained as a pastor, and then he is cut off from the ability record of his mother church.

57:16.880 --> 57:28.880
That is the design of a church plant, not to just have, you know, like one giant like hive mind under, you know, the sure foundation logo or whatever it is to make more independent Baptist churches.

57:28.880 --> 57:38.880
Independent is our safety net from becoming something like a cult or becoming something like the Catholic Church, where we just got to believe everything that so and so says, because he's in charge of the whole thing.

57:38.880 --> 57:44.880
So go with you with the Genesis to verse number 23, Genesis to verse number 23.

57:44.880 --> 57:56.880
I bring this up because when a church is detached from their mother church, when a church plan, I should say, is detached from their mother church, they become their own independent Baptist church,

57:56.880 --> 58:03.880
which means that they are no longer attached to the church concerning finances or concerning authority.

58:03.880 --> 58:04.880
And it's very similar.

58:04.880 --> 58:21.880
This one having you go to Genesis to when someone moves out of their parents house when they get married, because, for example, when I was at my dad's house, when I was, you know, you know, a kid or even up to my personal opinion is that if you're at your parents house, even if you're 20, you're still under their authority.

58:21.880 --> 58:24.880
If they're paying your bills, if they're taking care of you, that's your authority.

58:24.880 --> 58:26.880
Like we have nowadays where it's like, oh, we're 18.

58:26.880 --> 58:28.880
Not the list of your parents anymore.

58:28.880 --> 58:30.880
Show me that in the Bible, because that's never there.

58:30.880 --> 58:37.880
You see in the Bible that a daughter or a son is under their parents authority and tell what we see in Genesis.

58:37.880 --> 58:40.880
They leave and cleave to spouse.

58:40.880 --> 58:42.880
That's that's the design of God Almighty.

58:42.880 --> 58:45.880
So if you have a problem with that, you have a problem with what God's design is.

58:46.880 --> 58:54.880
But I'd say this because I was kind of a side note to that that when I was under my parents roof, I was under their authority and they were responsible to provide for me financially.

58:54.880 --> 58:58.880
And I was responsible to submit to them income in totality.

58:58.880 --> 58:59.880
Right.

58:59.880 --> 59:06.880
But when I moved out and got married to my wife, I had that in bill accord cut off to where I'm no longer under the authority of my dad.

59:06.880 --> 59:09.880
I am my own authority now of my house.

59:09.880 --> 59:13.880
And my parents are no longer responsible to provide for me financially.

59:13.880 --> 59:16.880
I have to provide financially for my own family.

59:16.880 --> 59:18.880
And so you can kind of see the similarity right there.

59:18.880 --> 59:19.880
Yeah.

59:19.880 --> 59:25.880
Read Louis says in Genesis 22 or 23, it says, And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.

59:25.880 --> 59:28.880
She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man.

59:28.880 --> 59:35.880
Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh.

59:36.880 --> 59:42.880
So when a man leaves and cleaves, he is cut off from the authority and the finances of his mom and dad.

59:42.880 --> 59:45.880
And he becomes responsible for these things.

59:45.880 --> 59:47.880
And it's the same thing with the church plan.

59:47.880 --> 01:00:02.880
When a church plan is ordained, hasn't excuse me, a man ordained as a past them, they are cut off from the mother church and they are now responsible for submitting to that pastor locally and for handling their own finances, finances locally.

01:00:02.880 --> 01:00:09.880
So I've written this all up because, you know, I'm sure it's not really a mystery concerning this.

01:00:09.880 --> 01:00:10.880
Why bring this all up?

01:00:10.880 --> 01:00:16.880
But it's just basically recently we had this whole situation with Pastor Matthew Stuckey.

01:00:16.880 --> 01:00:31.880
And if you guys aren't aware of this, I'm going to kind of break it down just a little bit for you because this one's very simple to follow that we had a situation with Pastor Matthew Stuckey, who's a missionary to the Philippines, who's doing, by the way, a great work for God over there, getting thousands and thousands of people say praise God.

01:00:31.880 --> 01:00:33.880
And that area is super receptive.

01:00:33.880 --> 01:00:39.880
It's great that we have a good man on site that we know is preaching the gospel properly over there.

01:00:39.880 --> 01:00:46.880
But this and it goes even beyond that, just seeing his works like I know Pastor Stuckey personally and have known him for a long time now.

01:00:46.880 --> 01:00:51.880
Not that we're like best buds or anything like that, but it's like I've had multiple conversations with him.

01:00:51.880 --> 01:00:53.880
I've had multiple interactions with the guy.

01:00:53.880 --> 01:00:54.880
He's a stand up guy.

01:00:54.880 --> 01:00:55.880
He's a really good guy.

01:00:55.880 --> 01:01:01.880
He's one that I've always looked up to and thought he's a man of integrity and a man that is a great Christian.

01:01:01.880 --> 01:01:18.880
And it just basically came out that Pastor Stuckey, who was originally sent out already about this church in Sacramento as basically kind of like a church plan to be like a missionary plant has been getting funds stolen for years now from his church, just straight up stolen from him.

01:01:18.880 --> 01:01:28.880
Like because basically what is happening is this is that when you're overseas, it's way easier send someone funds bike if you just pull it into one place and have them send it.

01:01:28.880 --> 01:01:31.880
It's way easier than just having a bunch of individuals going and sending money.

01:01:31.880 --> 01:01:43.880
So it's like it's standard for missionaries that when they're over there that they'll have like their head church or the church they associate the most with to get all of their donations from America into that church.

01:01:43.880 --> 01:01:45.880
And then they'll send it over to the missionary.

01:01:45.880 --> 01:01:57.880
But what was happening in this situation is that there's being things marked for Verity Baptist Manila for Pastor Stuckey and for his church and they're just not getting over to him.

01:01:57.880 --> 01:01:59.880
He said none of them was getting over to him.

01:01:59.880 --> 01:02:10.880
And the thing is that someone might bring up like when he's a plant, OK, I can see someone kind of playing the games of like, well, technically a pastor can choose what he wants to do with the money while they're still attached.

01:02:10.880 --> 01:02:21.880
OK, while he's still a missionary, while he's still not his own independent church, because the reality is how we've always believed in the the eye in the new IP is that, you know, the pastor controls the money.

01:02:21.880 --> 01:02:22.880
That is how it is.

01:02:22.880 --> 01:02:32.880
OK, now if someone's sending money specifically for a missionary, even if you are attached and the pastor just decides to keep that for whatever reason, that is super morally questionable.

01:02:32.880 --> 01:02:34.880
It's like very ethically.

01:02:34.880 --> 01:02:38.880
Yeah, I want to say ethnically questionable.

01:02:38.880 --> 01:02:40.880
Ethically, it's definitely questionable.

01:02:40.880 --> 01:02:41.880
You'd be like, why?

01:02:41.880 --> 01:02:44.880
OK, especially if your church is doing good, you don't need the money.

01:02:44.880 --> 01:02:46.880
That's very, very weird.

01:02:46.880 --> 01:03:02.880
But here's the thing about this, that as soon as he gets ordained to be a pastor of that church, which he was ordained to be his own pastor in the Philippines, any money that was sent to Verity Baptist Church of Sacramento that was not given to him is stolen money.

01:03:02.880 --> 01:03:06.880
It's no longer just like, well, it's kind of, you know, hazy questionable.

01:03:06.880 --> 01:03:15.880
No, this is the model that we have as Baptist that when you're ordained as a Baptist pastor, you are completely cut off from the Mother Church.

01:03:15.880 --> 01:03:26.880
So if they're sending money to the Mother Church, the former church, like when they were connected, right, they're sending money to the Mother Church and that's not getting over to that new independent Baptist Church.

01:03:26.880 --> 01:03:29.880
That is just blatantly stealing.

01:03:29.880 --> 01:03:30.880
It's wrong.

01:03:30.880 --> 01:03:31.880
It's wicked as hell.

01:03:31.880 --> 01:03:32.880
It's evil.

01:03:32.880 --> 01:03:38.880
And that needs to be called out because here's the thing that bugs me about this, like me and a brother who used to live in the Philippines.

01:03:38.880 --> 01:03:46.880
OK, we were talking about in our class this week, like how like our model for the new I.B. we're always like saying like this is the way to go.

01:03:46.880 --> 01:03:55.880
Like we don't want to do deputation where it's like one missionary is bouncing around for like three years trying to just get pennies from multiple Baptist churches.

01:03:55.880 --> 01:04:04.880
Like it's awesome that we can just find one solid missionary and then just support him fully and make sure that he's taken care of someone that you know is going to get the job done.

01:04:04.880 --> 01:04:05.880
Like we're boasting about this.

01:04:05.880 --> 01:04:09.880
We're like this is the great and I think that's a great position, by the way.

01:04:09.880 --> 01:04:21.880
But it's like it comes come to find out that this guy who we think is being taken care of, who we think is being provided for like he should be because people sending donations to reach him in the Philippines.

01:04:21.880 --> 01:04:28.880
And that's what he's being taken care of is being taken advantage of the whole time from his sending pastor from his sending church.

01:04:28.880 --> 01:04:30.880
That is wicked as hell.

01:04:30.880 --> 01:04:35.880
And I just like cannot put myself in someone's shoes that would be doing something like that.

01:04:35.880 --> 01:04:37.880
How do you justify that in your mind?

01:04:37.880 --> 01:04:42.880
Just blatantly stealing money, not from just a wicked person that you don't like.

01:04:42.880 --> 01:04:49.880
We're talking about someone that's your brother and Christ, someone who's winning people that Jesus Christ that evil.

01:04:49.880 --> 01:04:58.880
And it needs to be condemned publicly and very harshly because here's the issues with this as well is that again, I know Pastor Suckey and he's a great man.

01:04:58.880 --> 01:05:01.880
But number two is that this is just straight up stealing.

01:05:01.880 --> 01:05:05.880
This is this is no different than me just reaching into someone's wallet and taking money out of it.

01:05:05.880 --> 01:05:07.880
It's just like happening overseas.

01:05:07.880 --> 01:05:12.880
OK, this also needs to be called out because this blasphemes the name of Jesus Christ.

01:05:12.880 --> 01:05:13.880
It brings shame to that.

01:05:13.880 --> 01:05:14.880
Our name is Baptist.

01:05:14.880 --> 01:05:18.880
If we don't condemn this and say this is wrong, this needs to be addressed.

01:05:18.880 --> 01:05:20.880
OK, we can't just sweep things like that under the rug.

01:05:20.880 --> 01:05:23.880
And it's unfortunate when you have to call things like that out.

01:05:23.880 --> 01:05:25.880
But that's your job as a pastor.

01:05:25.880 --> 01:05:27.880
It's your job as a Christian.

01:05:27.880 --> 01:05:33.880
When you see on justice like that, when you see wrongdoing like that, you have to label it as sin.

01:05:33.880 --> 01:05:34.880
You have to label it as wrong.

01:05:34.880 --> 01:05:42.880
But number four, this just puts an overall distrust in our system for sending money to missionaries anyways, because I don't know if you can relate to this.

01:05:42.880 --> 01:05:47.880
But a lot of times when people ask, you know, to give money to charities, I don't have anything wrong with doing that.

01:05:47.880 --> 01:05:49.880
And in fact, I will if I know it's a good charity.

01:05:49.880 --> 01:05:56.880
But sometimes I hear these horror stories and I get sketched out like I know at least OK, don't don't crucify me if I'm wrong.

01:05:56.880 --> 01:06:00.880
But to my knowledge, I'm pretty sure like Ronald McDonald's is pretty good for the charities.

01:06:00.880 --> 01:06:05.880
I know that our friend over in Verity had her baby taken care of by that charity.

01:06:05.880 --> 01:06:11.880
So I was like, you know, once I can verify this is a solid charity, I will give my money because we are supposed to be helping people with our money as Christians.

01:06:11.880 --> 01:06:12.880
No doubt about it.

01:06:12.880 --> 01:06:18.880
But when you have situations like this, it really makes it hard to be like, man, can I send my money over here?

01:06:18.880 --> 01:06:20.880
Like makes you lose trust.

01:06:20.880 --> 01:06:24.880
And that's wicked because it hinders the work of God that's happening over there.

01:06:24.880 --> 01:06:31.880
So we need to call this crap out and we need to make sure that when this stuff happens that we say, hey, this wrong and this is never going to happen again.

01:06:31.880 --> 01:06:32.880
Not on our watch.

01:06:32.880 --> 01:06:36.880
And if it happens again, then you're going to call it out again.

01:06:36.880 --> 01:06:42.880
We want to become like the Catholic Church just buries everything under the rug and look at the reputation that they have now.

01:06:42.880 --> 01:06:46.880
People everybody knows the Catholic Church is weirdos because they hide all the weird things that their priests do.

01:06:46.880 --> 01:06:48.880
I don't want to get off on the Catholic Church right now, though.

01:06:48.880 --> 01:06:51.880
I'm focused on this. OK, go to Proverbs 18 verse number 13, though.

01:06:51.880 --> 01:06:54.880
Proverbs 18 verse 13.

01:06:54.880 --> 01:07:04.880
I would say for clarification sake that the man who is responsible for the bulk of that, OK, if not all of it, is no longer the leader of Verity Baptist Church.

01:07:04.880 --> 01:07:12.880
Now they're under new leadership and that new leadership announced that they were going to pay the money back, which I'm glad because Pastor Matthew Suckey deserves that money.

01:07:12.880 --> 01:07:15.880
It is just stolen from him. OK.

01:07:15.880 --> 01:07:22.880
And I feel like that's not a controversial opinion, but I shared the announcements video from Verity saying like, hey, Pastor was on.

01:07:22.880 --> 01:07:24.880
He said he's going to share that he's going to pay the money back.

01:07:24.880 --> 01:07:26.880
This is awesome that he's going to do this.

01:07:26.880 --> 01:07:34.880
I feel like getting on there crashing out because I said this and I'm just going to like, how can you be mad that I'm happy that Pastor was on?

01:07:34.880 --> 01:07:36.880
He said he's going to pay the money back to Matthew Suckey.

01:07:36.880 --> 01:07:39.880
Is that a crime? Like, how do you find fault in that?

01:07:39.880 --> 01:07:41.880
It's so weird. And they're like, wait a minute.

01:07:41.880 --> 01:07:46.880
It's because he didn't say he was going to pay the money back until everybody called him out for it.

01:07:46.880 --> 01:07:55.880
It's like, OK, but this is a weird game that we're playing, though, because it's like you can't be like in one part and be like, hey, this guy's wicked because he's not paying this guy the money.

01:07:55.880 --> 01:07:59.880
And then turn around and be like, well, he's only paying them the money because we told him to.

01:07:59.880 --> 01:08:01.880
You're damned if you do and damned if you don't in that situation.

01:08:01.880 --> 01:08:04.880
That's crazy. OK, maybe he did pay the money because he got told to.

01:08:04.880 --> 01:08:06.880
Maybe he would have paid if he had gotten confronted beforehand.

01:08:06.880 --> 01:08:15.880
I don't know. But it's like if I'm just making a post saying I'm glad that Pastor Matthew Suckey is going to get paid that money, Lord willing, that the guy said he's going to pay him the money.

01:08:15.880 --> 01:08:17.880
Why would you crucify him with that?

01:08:17.880 --> 01:08:23.880
People are so weird, man. They like they like if you don't believe everything that they believe sometimes, they'll just like light you up.

01:08:23.880 --> 01:08:25.880
And it's like I'm not your enemy friend.

01:08:25.880 --> 01:08:29.880
Those that again, people saying that I've saw this again.

01:08:29.880 --> 01:08:31.880
They do like Rami Thompson.

01:08:31.880 --> 01:08:33.880
He's not new. I be OK.

01:08:33.880 --> 01:08:35.880
I read one. I run.

01:08:35.880 --> 01:08:41.880
Excuse me. A new I.F.B. church plant under a new I.F.B. pastor with new I.F.B. believes.

01:08:41.880 --> 01:08:45.880
What do you call them? New I.F.B. Hello.

01:08:45.880 --> 01:08:49.880
Slander railing, by the way, people saying dumb stuff like that.

01:08:49.880 --> 01:08:50.880
I had someone message me about that post.

01:08:50.880 --> 01:08:51.880
So this one bringing it up.

01:08:51.880 --> 01:08:54.880
He said, you know, he was messaging.

01:08:54.880 --> 01:08:55.880
I see that I messaged him first.

01:08:55.880 --> 01:09:00.880
I asked him, I was like, because he commented on my post and said, are you even qualified to be a leader?

01:09:00.880 --> 01:09:04.880
I'm like, for sharing a video saying I'm happy that Pastor Suckey is going to get paid.

01:09:04.880 --> 01:09:07.880
What in the world are you even qualified to be a leader?

01:09:07.880 --> 01:09:09.880
And I was like, are you really this butthurt about this post that I made?

01:09:09.880 --> 01:09:10.880
That's exactly what I said to him.

01:09:10.880 --> 01:09:12.880
I was like, are you really this butthurt about this?

01:09:12.880 --> 01:09:13.880
I'm not butthurt.

01:09:13.880 --> 01:09:19.880
You're just you're harkening the Bible says if a servant harkened to lies or if the ruler of the world is a liar,

01:09:19.880 --> 01:09:22.880
or if the ruler harkened to lies, all of his servants are wicked.

01:09:22.880 --> 01:09:27.880
It's like, what lies that I harkened to that I said that happy that Pastor Bessarons, he was paying Matthew Suckey back.

01:09:27.880 --> 01:09:28.880
Dude, people are so weird.

01:09:28.880 --> 01:09:30.880
I cannot even I cannot with some people.

01:09:30.880 --> 01:09:35.880
This dude told me he said from that comment, he said, your reckoning is coming.

01:09:35.880 --> 01:09:36.880
Not an exaggeration.

01:09:36.880 --> 01:09:39.880
I can show you the screenshots rather than your reckoning is coming.

01:09:39.880 --> 01:09:42.880
OK, Batman, but what the heck is he talking about?

01:09:42.880 --> 01:09:47.880
My reckoning is coming because I'm apparently harkening to lies because I'm just saying like, hey,

01:09:47.880 --> 01:09:50.880
I am glad that pastor's took he's going to pay that guy back.

01:09:50.880 --> 01:09:51.880
Super weird.

01:09:51.880 --> 01:09:52.880
You guys are there in properties.

01:09:52.880 --> 01:09:54.880
Eighteen, thirteen, not pass.

01:09:54.880 --> 01:09:55.880
Bessarons.

01:09:55.880 --> 01:09:56.880
Yeah.

01:09:56.880 --> 01:09:58.880
What did I say?

01:09:58.880 --> 01:09:59.880
OK, that's it. Yeah.

01:09:59.880 --> 01:10:00.880
OK.

01:10:00.880 --> 01:10:01.880
Now they're going to cruise right for that to.

01:10:01.880 --> 01:10:02.880
OK, I'm cooked.

01:10:02.880 --> 01:10:05.880
Brother Ryan, edit that out of the sermon.

01:10:05.880 --> 01:10:06.880
OK.

01:10:06.880 --> 01:10:08.880
Now, how are they seen first or thirteen?

01:10:08.880 --> 01:10:09.880
That's where you guys are going.

01:10:09.880 --> 01:10:12.880
Or you guys maybe are already there.

01:10:12.880 --> 01:10:14.880
I just like I don't understand.

01:10:14.880 --> 01:10:17.880
Like Mike, I'm not even like say my whole position on this.

01:10:17.880 --> 01:10:21.880
The only thing I was saying online that I feel like are getting ticked off about me is I was just like,

01:10:21.880 --> 01:10:28.880
hey, I just want evidence that this guy knew that he was, you know, just royally screwing pastors.

01:10:28.880 --> 01:10:29.880
I got pastor's aren't you.

01:10:29.880 --> 01:10:30.880
OK, I want evidence.

01:10:30.880 --> 01:10:32.880
You can say, well, this is suspect.

01:10:32.880 --> 01:10:33.880
This is fishy.

01:10:33.880 --> 01:10:34.880
This is kind of weird.

01:10:34.880 --> 01:10:35.880
OK, maybe it is.

01:10:35.880 --> 01:10:37.880
OK, but here's my standard.

01:10:37.880 --> 01:10:43.880
I give people that are pastors the benefit of the doubt until concrete evidence shows that they're sitting.

01:10:43.880 --> 01:10:44.880
Period.

01:10:44.880 --> 01:10:47.880
Maybe your threshold of evidence is different than mine, but that is what it is.

01:10:47.880 --> 01:10:49.880
It's just a threshold of evidence difference.

01:10:49.880 --> 01:10:53.880
OK, there are some people that you'll give more benefit of the doubt for for whatever reasons.

01:10:53.880 --> 01:10:54.880
And this is OK.

01:10:54.880 --> 01:10:59.880
There's some of them people when they feel like they have enough evidence, I'm not condemning them for doing that.

01:10:59.880 --> 01:11:05.880
I'm just saying if I'm going to personally condemn someone, I need concrete evidence, not just here.

01:11:05.880 --> 01:11:09.880
They not just an extrapolation of 15 minutes of announcements on a YouTube page.

01:11:09.880 --> 01:11:12.880
Sorry, if you disagree with me, if you say it's clear, then that's your.

01:11:12.880 --> 01:11:13.880
This is the thing.

01:11:13.880 --> 01:11:15.880
God's going to judge you for what you say.

01:11:15.880 --> 01:11:17.880
And God's going to judge me for what I say one day.

01:11:17.880 --> 01:11:19.880
So if I'm not comfortable saying something, I'm just not.

01:11:19.880 --> 01:11:20.880
But here's the thing.

01:11:20.880 --> 01:11:21.880
He's saying, well, you're taking his side.

01:11:21.880 --> 01:11:22.880
No, I'm not.

01:11:22.880 --> 01:11:23.880
What in the world?

01:11:23.880 --> 01:11:24.880
Proverbs 18 13.

01:11:24.880 --> 01:11:25.880
Look what this says.

01:11:25.880 --> 01:11:29.880
It says, he that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame on him.

01:11:29.880 --> 01:11:36.880
The Bible says when you answer something before you know both sides of it, it's folly and it's shame to you.

01:11:36.880 --> 01:11:38.880
So let me just break this down for you.

01:11:38.880 --> 01:11:47.880
That if someone comes to me with an accusation for whatever reason and I say, hmm, OK, I see what you're saying.

01:11:47.880 --> 01:11:48.880
But you know what?

01:11:48.880 --> 01:11:51.880
I just need concrete evidence of that accusation.

01:11:51.880 --> 01:11:53.880
Whose side am I taking there?

01:11:53.880 --> 01:11:54.880
I'm not taking a side.

01:11:54.880 --> 01:11:56.880
I'm like, I want more evidence.

01:11:56.880 --> 01:11:58.880
OK, this guy is like, oh, you're taking his side.

01:11:58.880 --> 01:12:00.880
It's like, I'm just saying I want more evidence.

01:12:00.880 --> 01:12:01.880
Is that a crime to want that?

01:12:01.880 --> 01:12:06.880
Like, if I'm not ready to crucify someone, if I don't feel comfortable condemning someone, I'm at fault for that.

01:12:06.880 --> 01:12:08.880
Super weird, man.

01:12:08.880 --> 01:12:09.880
Mind your own business.

01:12:09.880 --> 01:12:11.880
This weirdo is going stock in my sermons anyways.

01:12:11.880 --> 01:12:12.880
Going and looking at all my sermons.

01:12:12.880 --> 01:12:14.880
If you don't like my sermons, then don't look at them.

01:12:14.880 --> 01:12:15.880
Super bizarre.

01:12:15.880 --> 01:12:16.880
OK, I'm preaching the internet over there.

01:12:16.880 --> 01:12:17.880
My bad.

01:12:17.880 --> 01:12:18.880
I usually don't do that.

01:12:18.880 --> 01:12:19.880
Go to James 1, verse number 19.

01:12:19.880 --> 01:12:21.880
James 1, verse number 19.

01:12:21.880 --> 01:12:27.880
I am not, but I am not just preaching the internet because I want you guys to know and you're the opinion that I care about that this is just lies.

01:12:27.880 --> 01:12:28.880
That this is just slander.

01:12:28.880 --> 01:12:30.880
That people just say these dumb things.

01:12:30.880 --> 01:12:34.880
And it's like, where is the proof that I hate the new IFB?

01:12:34.880 --> 01:12:35.880
Where's the proof of that?

01:12:35.880 --> 01:12:38.880
Where have I ever hinted anything like that ever?

01:12:38.880 --> 01:12:39.880
When have I?

01:12:39.880 --> 01:12:41.880
Who's heard me say one bad thing about Pastor Anderson?

01:12:41.880 --> 01:12:42.880
Tell me that.

01:12:42.880 --> 01:12:43.880
Nobody has.

01:12:43.880 --> 01:12:45.880
Who's heard me say something bad about Pastor Shelley?

01:12:45.880 --> 01:12:46.880
Nobody has.

01:12:46.880 --> 01:12:47.880
You know why?

01:12:47.880 --> 01:12:49.880
Because I like those men.

01:12:49.880 --> 01:12:51.880
Because I think they're godly men.

01:12:51.880 --> 01:12:57.880
Because I have respect for the things that they've done for me and for my family and for my church.

01:12:57.880 --> 01:13:00.880
If I don't agree with them about everything, that doesn't mean I hate them.

01:13:00.880 --> 01:13:01.880
You idiots.

01:13:01.880 --> 01:13:02.880
You morons.

01:13:02.880 --> 01:13:04.880
Man, let me just calm down.

01:13:04.880 --> 01:13:06.880
I get so sick of that crap.

01:13:06.880 --> 01:13:09.880
But you have to fit into this stupid box that everyone else does.

01:13:09.880 --> 01:13:10.880
You have to fit this perfectly.

01:13:10.880 --> 01:13:12.880
I'm just not that person.

01:13:12.880 --> 01:13:15.880
If that makes me new IFB, you're crucifying a man that doesn't have anything wrong with you.

01:13:15.880 --> 01:13:19.880
You're crucifying a man that has nothing against you or your pastor.

01:13:19.880 --> 01:13:21.880
Super bizarre.

01:13:21.880 --> 01:13:22.880
It's toxic.

01:13:22.880 --> 01:13:23.880
It's not good.

01:13:23.880 --> 01:13:25.880
It's not good for truth anyways.

01:13:25.880 --> 01:13:27.880
If I want to give someone the benefit of the doubt, look at the Bible.

01:13:27.880 --> 01:13:28.880
It says James 1.19.

01:13:28.880 --> 01:13:29.880
It says this.

01:13:29.880 --> 01:13:37.880
It says, wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to rap.

01:13:37.880 --> 01:13:38.880
That's the Bible, friend.

01:13:38.880 --> 01:13:42.880
Being slow to condemn people is not a terrible quality.

01:13:42.880 --> 01:13:44.880
It's a good quality from the Bible is what it teaches.

01:13:44.880 --> 01:13:50.880
So, but again, if you have your own threshold and you think, hey, guilt, well, then that's between you and God.

01:13:50.880 --> 01:13:52.880
But between me and God, I just don't feel comfortable.

01:13:52.880 --> 01:13:53.880
Whatever.

01:13:53.880 --> 01:13:56.880
But that doesn't mean that I take anybody's side because evidence can come out and I could sway either way.

01:13:56.880 --> 01:13:57.880
OK.

01:13:57.880 --> 01:14:01.880
You guys go back to 11 verse number one.

01:14:01.880 --> 01:14:02.880
Probably one.

01:14:02.880 --> 01:14:03.880
Sorry.

01:14:03.880 --> 01:14:04.880
That's a little bit of a side note.

01:14:04.880 --> 01:14:05.880
That kind of stuff, man.

01:14:05.880 --> 01:14:09.880
It just really grinds my gears, though, like this dumb witch hunt mentality.

01:14:09.880 --> 01:14:11.880
I just don't understand it.

01:14:11.880 --> 01:14:17.880
I don't understand why you're hating someone and why you're attacking someone that is not your enemy.

01:14:17.880 --> 01:14:20.880
Proverbs 11 verse number one.

01:14:20.880 --> 01:14:23.880
It says in Proverbs 11 verse number one, I was the part.

01:14:23.880 --> 01:14:30.880
I'm going to get into the main principles from this sermon now, but that was all kind of more introduction.

01:14:30.880 --> 01:14:31.880
I'm going to be quick.

01:14:31.880 --> 01:14:34.880
I'm not going to take very long with this, but the first I want to bring up concerning this whole situation,

01:14:34.880 --> 01:14:42.880
I think that you can apply this situation and it can be relevant to our daily life is we should understand that God hates dishonesty.

01:14:42.880 --> 01:14:45.880
God hates dishonesty and he hates stealing.

01:14:45.880 --> 01:14:51.880
What the Bible says right here, Proverbs 11, it says a false balance is an abomination to the Lord.

01:14:51.880 --> 01:14:54.880
But a just weight is his delight.

01:14:54.880 --> 01:14:55.880
I want you to picture this for a second.

01:14:55.880 --> 01:15:00.880
Like think about this really when you talk about a balance, like we're thinking about like an old school scale, right?

01:15:00.880 --> 01:15:01.880
That goes up and down.

01:15:01.880 --> 01:15:09.880
If you have a false balance, you can't really just like stack the weight on it to just make it too crazy or that's going to be obvious.

01:15:09.880 --> 01:15:11.880
But is, you know, being stolen, right?

01:15:11.880 --> 01:15:15.880
If it's like, it's like as soon as you put anything on it, like, well, it's not going to work out.

01:15:15.880 --> 01:15:16.880
Yeah.

01:15:16.880 --> 01:15:22.880
But the thing about a balance is that how they would get over on people is just like the Jews, like they would take the coins and they shave them.

01:15:22.880 --> 01:15:32.880
OK, it's kind of similar that they just put a little bit of weight extra on one side of the balance so that they could just slowly over time screw people over and steal from people little by little.

01:15:32.880 --> 01:15:34.880
And God said this is what's amazing.

01:15:34.880 --> 01:15:39.880
He got says this is an abomination in his sight that it's an abomination to the Lord.

01:15:39.880 --> 01:15:45.880
Even as something as tiny as that, we're talking about like little fractions of measurement that you're just getting a little bit over on your fellow.

01:15:45.880 --> 01:15:47.880
Man, it's an abomination before his sight.

01:15:47.880 --> 01:16:02.880
And what we should learn from that is this, that number one, God cares about us being just with our money, even to the smallest amounts, which is very interesting because, you know, it's just like the first thing that pops in my head about this.

01:16:02.880 --> 01:16:06.880
OK, I mean, it's those stupid bags that you have to buy at the grocery store nowadays.

01:16:06.880 --> 01:16:09.880
It's like I go there and I go to check out my stuff.

01:16:09.880 --> 01:16:12.880
And it's like I used to have just free bags.

01:16:12.880 --> 01:16:13.880
I had grace bags, right?

01:16:13.880 --> 01:16:16.880
They just like, hey, take as many as you want, right?

01:16:16.880 --> 01:16:18.880
And then now they're like, oh, how many did you take?

01:16:18.880 --> 01:16:21.880
And you're going to get charged for every bag that you take.

01:16:21.880 --> 01:16:22.880
Twelve cents.

01:16:22.880 --> 01:16:23.880
Twelve cents.

01:16:23.880 --> 01:16:23.880

01:16:23.880 --> 01:16:24.880
I was like, what in the world?

01:16:24.880 --> 01:16:27.880
So for a long time, OK, I'll confess my faults up here.

01:16:27.880 --> 01:16:29.880
There's a time when they first switched that and I was like protesting.

01:16:29.880 --> 01:16:30.880
I'm like, you know what?

01:16:30.880 --> 01:16:31.880
This is stupid.

01:16:31.880 --> 01:16:32.880
I'm not going to pay for no bag.

01:16:32.880 --> 01:16:34.880
But usually I take like, you know, one or two.

01:16:34.880 --> 01:16:36.880
It wasn't like I'm just taking like a whole rack of bags, right?

01:16:36.880 --> 01:16:38.880
But that's kind of how I justified in my mind.

01:16:38.880 --> 01:16:40.880
I was just like, you know, hey, it's just whatever.

01:16:40.880 --> 01:16:41.880
It's 12 cents.

01:16:41.880 --> 01:16:42.880
We're talking about 24 cents here.

01:16:42.880 --> 01:16:44.880
Is that really that big of a deal?

01:16:44.880 --> 01:16:46.880
But I actually read this verse a couple of times.

01:16:46.880 --> 01:16:49.880
I just read there in Proverbs 11, one, and it really did.

01:16:49.880 --> 01:16:52.880
This kind of sounds silly, but I did kind of hit my heart a little bit.

01:16:52.880 --> 01:16:56.880
It's just like, how much is the price that I am willing to sit against God for?

01:16:56.880 --> 01:16:58.880
Because you might just think yourself, well, it's so dumb.

01:16:58.880 --> 01:16:59.880
It's just 12 cents.

01:16:59.880 --> 01:17:00.880
But it's like, that is the point, though.

01:17:00.880 --> 01:17:02.880
It's just 12 cents.

01:17:02.880 --> 01:17:08.880
If I could pay 12 cents to not steal and to not, you know, do something that God says is abominable in his sight.

01:17:08.880 --> 01:17:10.880
Why wouldn't I just pay the money and do that?

01:17:10.880 --> 01:17:13.880
Now, again, this is not end all be all very clearly right.

01:17:13.880 --> 01:17:15.880
I'm sure other people have done this.

01:17:15.880 --> 01:17:18.880
OK, not the only wicked center that's done this in this room.

01:17:18.880 --> 01:17:24.880
But it should just kind of make you think, though, like it does care about even the smallest of things like that.

01:17:24.880 --> 01:17:27.880
That is something to consider that we're not just stealing things.

01:17:27.880 --> 01:17:29.880
And it is just like a tiny thing.

01:17:29.880 --> 01:17:33.880
But this is the principle that jumps out to me the most, because that's like the most evident example in my society.

01:17:33.880 --> 01:17:36.880
Where are we at here?

01:17:36.880 --> 01:17:37.880
You were in Proverbs.

01:17:37.880 --> 01:17:40.880
I'll go to first, Timothy six, verse number ten, first, Timothy six, verse number ten.

01:17:52.880 --> 01:17:56.880
First, Timothy six, verse number ten is where you guys are going to, though.

01:17:56.880 --> 01:18:06.880
Here's what the second thing I want to break about that we should learn from this is that if this is how God feels about us stealing just like little tiny things, just a little, you know, a little injustice in the balance.

01:18:06.880 --> 01:18:12.880
It's over time. Just getting a couple little bit more of, you know, some spices or herbs or gold or whatever it is.

01:18:12.880 --> 01:18:22.880
If God cares that much about that and he says it's an abomination, how much more of an abomination is it in his sight for us to just blatantly steal from our brothers and sisters in Christ?

01:18:22.880 --> 01:18:27.880
Like I was just like, I cannot like understand.

01:18:27.880 --> 01:18:32.880
Like, do people just not have a fear of God when it comes to taking his money?

01:18:32.880 --> 01:18:35.880
I went back there and I stole one dollar out of the tithe plate.

01:18:35.880 --> 01:18:38.880
I would be scared to death that God's going to strike me to death on the spot.

01:18:38.880 --> 01:18:40.880
Just don't touch God's money.

01:18:40.880 --> 01:18:41.880
That is insane.

01:18:41.880 --> 01:18:54.880
So how is it that you see all these examples in the Bible of people getting killed for money, people that are betraying others for money and they're getting killed or people that are having their lives ruined for just taking gold or for taking investments or whatever?

01:18:54.880 --> 01:18:56.880
How do you see that in the Bible?

01:18:56.880 --> 01:18:58.880
And then just thank yourself.

01:18:58.880 --> 01:19:00.880
You know, it'd be a great idea if I just stole God's money.

01:19:00.880 --> 01:19:01.880
It's insane.

01:19:01.880 --> 01:19:04.880
It surprised me every time, but it really shouldn't surprise me because you know why?

01:19:04.880 --> 01:19:15.880
Because what we see in the Bible right there where you guys are at is it says for the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after they have erred from the faith and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

01:19:15.880 --> 01:19:16.880
The love of money is the root of all evil.

01:19:16.880 --> 01:19:22.880
So when you see all these things happen, they're like, why is this almost every time you could tie it back to money?

01:19:22.880 --> 01:19:23.880
It's insane.

01:19:23.880 --> 01:19:26.880
I just cannot believe the fear that people don't have of God though concerning this.

01:19:26.880 --> 01:19:32.880
It's like the lesson you should take from this is this is that you reap you so at the end of the day.

01:19:32.880 --> 01:19:35.880
And if you reap the wind, you might just get the whirlwind.

01:19:35.880 --> 01:19:38.880
And in fact, you will reap the whirlwind because that's what the Bible says.

01:19:38.880 --> 01:19:42.880
So if you have any kind of injustice and like that in your life, you need to go to God.

01:19:42.880 --> 01:19:44.880
And first of all, you need to go to someone and make that right.

01:19:44.880 --> 01:19:47.880
And you need to go to God and tell him you're sorry for any of those things.

01:19:47.880 --> 01:19:53.880
I don't know about the money wise, but I'm talking about just in general, because it's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God.

01:19:53.880 --> 01:19:54.880
That's what the Bible says.

01:19:54.880 --> 01:19:57.880
It's a fearful thing to judge of God and it should scare us.

01:19:57.880 --> 01:19:58.880
And that's the thing.

01:19:58.880 --> 01:19:59.880
It should scare you.

01:19:59.880 --> 01:20:02.880
Not just like people get all this weird doctrine about the fear of the Lord.

01:20:02.880 --> 01:20:05.880
You should be scared of God Almighty, though.

01:20:05.880 --> 01:20:10.880
Truly, like I should just go back there and be like, oh, God's still going to have some grace with me.

01:20:10.880 --> 01:20:13.880
If I take this, it's like he might, but he could strike you dead.

01:20:13.880 --> 01:20:16.880
That's what we see in the Bible that God is patient with us.

01:20:16.880 --> 01:20:19.880
But when you just defy him, he'll he could strike you down the spot.

01:20:19.880 --> 01:20:22.880
We see that multiple times in the Bible.

01:20:22.880 --> 01:20:24.880
Fear God, fear God and keep his commandments.

01:20:24.880 --> 01:20:26.880
That's the whole duty of man is what the Bible says.

01:20:26.880 --> 01:20:29.880
Don't just like a oh, it's just a little bit of money.

01:20:29.880 --> 01:20:34.880
Who cares? Go to Matthew six, verse number 31, Matthew six, verse number 31.

01:20:35.880 --> 01:20:38.880
Rotting people of donations.

01:20:38.880 --> 01:20:40.880
I'm like, where is the fear of God from these?

01:20:40.880 --> 01:20:41.880
That is insane, dude.

01:20:41.880 --> 01:20:47.880
I cannot believe that that someone would like even think for a second that's OK.

01:20:47.880 --> 01:20:50.880
Matthew six, verse number 31.

01:20:50.880 --> 01:20:59.880
The third thing I want to point out to you about this as we move on to the next thing is that I want you to understand that as a Christian, if you're doing what God says, he will always provide for you, always provide for you.

01:20:59.880 --> 01:21:00.880
Because here's the thing about this.

01:21:00.880 --> 01:21:10.880
It's like, why would you expect God to provide for you in your church building if you're literally robbing another man of his funds in a foreign country?

01:21:10.880 --> 01:21:12.880
No wonder you're struggling to pay the bills.

01:21:12.880 --> 01:21:14.880
No wonder you haven't money issues.

01:21:14.880 --> 01:21:15.880
You know why?

01:21:15.880 --> 01:21:17.880
God doesn't respect that.

01:21:17.880 --> 01:21:21.880
And God will curse you in the areas that you're trying to get over on him.

01:21:21.880 --> 01:21:23.880
You see this all the time in the Bible.

01:21:23.880 --> 01:21:25.880
We're going to see later on in James getting a little bit ahead of myself.

01:21:25.880 --> 01:21:34.880
But you just realize this like it's like the last thing that you should do if you're starting to struggle and start to disobey the commandments of God, because then he doesn't promise to provide for you.

01:21:34.880 --> 01:21:35.880
Look what it says in Matthew six, 31.

01:21:35.880 --> 01:21:42.880
It says, Therefore, take no thought saying, What shall we eat or what shall we drink or wherewithal shall we be clothed?

01:21:42.880 --> 01:21:56.880
After all these things that the Gentiles seek for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

01:21:56.880 --> 01:22:07.880
I want to understand that we have a lifestyle now as like separated Christians where this world is kind of like not built for us, where the world wants to have two incomes in the house.

01:22:07.880 --> 01:22:12.880
And we preach that what the Bible says that it's supposed to be the man that's the breadwinner and the woman that's supposed to stay home.

01:22:12.880 --> 01:22:13.880
If that's your situation, obviously, right?

01:22:13.880 --> 01:22:22.880
There's different situations out there and that we teach that we should have jobs that allow us to come to church on Sundays and allow us to come to church on Wednesdays.

01:22:22.880 --> 01:22:24.880
There's a lot of other jobs out there that you can get.

01:22:24.880 --> 01:22:28.880
As a matter of fact, at my work right now, there's a job that just sounds like a dream to me.

01:22:28.880 --> 01:22:30.880
It's like you work three days a week.

01:22:30.880 --> 01:22:34.880
You do like I think it was 14 hour shifts or something crazy like that, which kind of sounds crazy.

01:22:34.880 --> 01:22:36.880
But three days a week, that's sick.

01:22:36.880 --> 01:22:39.880
But the schedule is like Saturday, Sunday, Monday or something like that.

01:22:39.880 --> 01:22:41.880
It's like, OK, well, I can't do that.

01:22:41.880 --> 01:22:42.880
It'd be nice, though.

01:22:42.880 --> 01:22:47.880
These are sacrifices we have to make as Christians that you just got to realize, hey, not everything in this world is for us.

01:22:47.880 --> 01:22:58.880
But the reason I'm bringing this up is because if God is commanding us in these parameters, you should realize that he will take care of us within these parameters that if you say, hey, you know what?

01:22:58.880 --> 01:23:05.880
This job offered me a bunch of money, but I have to work just, you know, 12 hours or whatever, 14 hours on Wednesday, 14 hours on Sunday.

01:23:05.880 --> 01:23:07.880
It's just like only those two days like that.

01:23:07.880 --> 01:23:13.880
It's like, hey, God, you're not going to provide for you if you do that, because that's not you seeking the kingdom of God first.

01:23:13.880 --> 01:23:17.880
But if you say, hey, I'm not going to take that, you know that God's going to provide for you.

01:23:17.880 --> 01:23:18.880
He promises to provide for us.

01:23:18.880 --> 01:23:26.880
That's what we just read the verses that God knows all the needs that we have, all the physical needs that we have, all the financial needs that we have.

01:23:26.880 --> 01:23:27.880
He knows them.

01:23:27.880 --> 01:23:29.880
He knows the sparrows that fall out of the tree.

01:23:29.880 --> 01:23:31.880
He knows the hairs that are on her head.

01:23:31.880 --> 01:23:33.880
He knows everything in this universe.

01:23:33.880 --> 01:23:37.880
So you shouldn't just be concerned to be like, I wonder if God's going to provide for me.

01:23:37.880 --> 01:23:38.880
He promised he would right there.

01:23:38.880 --> 01:23:42.880
If you're seeking him first, he will provide for you.

01:23:42.880 --> 01:23:53.880
And people like I brought this up before, but I think it's a good point that like people will be like they'll trust in God and they'll believe the gospel very easily, which is like a huge deal.

01:23:53.880 --> 01:23:54.880
Like it's like your eternal damnation.

01:23:54.880 --> 01:23:55.880
People like, oh, yeah, I walk by faith.

01:23:55.880 --> 01:23:56.880
I believe that 100 percent.

01:23:56.880 --> 01:23:57.880
Right. That's the true word of God.

01:23:57.880 --> 01:23:58.880
And that's the true gospel.

01:23:58.880 --> 01:23:59.880
Right.

01:23:59.880 --> 01:24:06.880
But then like when God says something, that's like a lesser promise as in like it's not as important as eternal damnation or eternal, you know, heaven.

01:24:06.880 --> 01:24:07.880
Right.

01:24:07.880 --> 01:24:08.880
When he says, I'm going to provide for you.

01:24:08.880 --> 01:24:15.880
If you follow me, people just like cannot like just put their faith in this for some reason, or they'll do it for a little bit of a time and then they just fall away from it.

01:24:15.880 --> 01:24:23.880
It's like, listen, God, the same God that promises you eternal security and that it's once you always save is the same God that said that he will give all the things that you need.

01:24:23.880 --> 01:24:24.880
He will give all these things.

01:24:24.880 --> 01:24:27.880
He will add all these things unto you if you seek him first.

01:24:27.880 --> 01:24:28.880
So take him at his word.

01:24:28.880 --> 01:24:29.880
God cannot lie.

01:24:29.880 --> 01:24:30.880
We obviously all know this.

01:24:30.880 --> 01:24:31.880
Yeah.

01:24:31.880 --> 01:24:35.880
So have faith in him and don't start to because this is the one this will be able to start to do.

01:24:35.880 --> 01:24:39.880
They start to panic and they start to be like, oh, we're we're going to be short.

01:24:39.880 --> 01:24:40.880
So, you know, what am I going to do?

01:24:40.880 --> 01:24:45.880
I'm going to like take on an extra job or I'm going to take on like a different job that makes me tell more money.

01:24:45.880 --> 01:24:49.880
But then I can't go to church anymore or they'll find some kind of work around.

01:24:49.880 --> 01:24:53.880
But it's like, dude, you should just realize these are temptations of the devil.

01:24:53.880 --> 01:25:01.880
The devil would want nothing more than to get you distracted on some dumb job that doesn't let you go to church on Sundays or that pays a ton of money.

01:25:01.880 --> 01:25:03.880
But that never lets you see your family either.

01:25:03.880 --> 01:25:05.880
It's another thing to consider as well.

01:25:05.880 --> 01:25:06.880
Don't fall for this trap.

01:25:06.880 --> 01:25:09.880
If you are following what God says, he will provide for you.

01:25:09.880 --> 01:25:11.880
It's a promise from him.

01:25:11.880 --> 01:25:12.880
So don't even doubt it for a second.

01:25:12.880 --> 01:25:14.880
And obviously, sometimes it's easier said than done.

01:25:14.880 --> 01:25:22.880
And sometimes people are people sometimes people are just more prone to being anxious and to being stressed out.

01:25:22.880 --> 01:25:23.880
I understand this.

01:25:23.880 --> 01:25:24.880
That's really not my personality.

01:25:24.880 --> 01:25:32.880
I'm just like very chill until the fault actions like big chillin a lot of times like I don't know, Kylie's and Kylie is not always stressed out about finances.

01:25:32.880 --> 01:25:35.880
But once in a while she gets stressed out about she's like, what are we going to do?

01:25:35.880 --> 01:25:37.880
And I'm like, God's going to provide for us.

01:25:37.880 --> 01:25:38.880
Period. He said he's going to.

01:25:38.880 --> 01:25:40.880
It's not even a sweat off my back.

01:25:40.880 --> 01:25:41.880
That's usually not.

01:25:41.880 --> 01:25:42.880
I guess we're going to go homeless.

01:25:42.880 --> 01:25:44.880
I guess I guess the kids are going to starve.

01:25:44.880 --> 01:25:46.880
I mean, what are we going to do?

01:25:46.880 --> 01:25:50.880
It's like, you know, because like it's like it kind of gets her to smile too.

01:25:50.880 --> 01:25:53.880
It's like that's it's true that like that's not going to happen to us.

01:25:53.880 --> 01:25:54.880
You know why?

01:25:54.880 --> 01:25:56.880
Because the Bible says that God will take care of us.

01:25:56.880 --> 01:26:00.880
Go to Psalms 37 as a matter of fact, Psalms 37 verse number 25.

01:26:00.880 --> 01:26:03.880
God will take care of us if we're following him.

01:26:03.880 --> 01:26:07.880
If we're seeking first the kingdom of God, it shouldn't even be a sweat off our back.

01:26:07.880 --> 01:26:10.880
And I would say there is a side note as well to you to the men out there.

01:26:10.880 --> 01:26:14.880
When your wife is nervous, because usually it should be your wife being more nervous than you are.

01:26:14.880 --> 01:26:16.880
That's why God has you as a leader.

01:26:16.880 --> 01:26:21.880
Anyways, be a rock to your wife, be an anchor to your wife, be someone that boosts her confidence,

01:26:21.880 --> 01:26:25.880
not that like entertains these these worries and these stresses.

01:26:25.880 --> 01:26:30.880
That's part of being a man is being the one who shoulders the emotional burden in the family

01:26:30.880 --> 01:26:33.880
and who shoulders the stress of the finances of the family.

01:26:33.880 --> 01:26:34.880
That should be all you.

01:26:34.880 --> 01:26:36.880
And you should be cool and collected about that.

01:26:36.880 --> 01:26:39.880
Maybe there's rare exceptions, but you should be cool and collected about that to give you the strength

01:26:39.880 --> 01:26:41.880
to be collected about that to give your wife confidence.

01:26:41.880 --> 01:26:43.880
That's what people need in a leader.

01:26:43.880 --> 01:26:44.880
You need confidence.

01:26:44.880 --> 01:26:47.880
Like you don't want to go to your husband and be like, I don't know if we're going to, you know,

01:26:47.880 --> 01:26:49.880
I don't know if we're going to be able to pay rent this month.

01:26:49.880 --> 01:26:50.880
And then he like starts crying too.

01:26:50.880 --> 01:26:52.880
It's like, what are we going to do?

01:26:52.880 --> 01:26:55.880
It's like that'd be crazy, wouldn't it?

01:26:55.880 --> 01:26:57.880
That's not that's not a leader at that point.

01:26:57.880 --> 01:26:58.880
That's not being a man at that point.

01:26:58.880 --> 01:27:00.880
Definitely.

01:27:00.880 --> 01:27:01.880
You know what a real man would say about that?

01:27:01.880 --> 01:27:02.880
Anyways, it's like, you know what?

01:27:02.880 --> 01:27:04.880
No, we won't because I'll go get a second job.

01:27:04.880 --> 01:27:05.880
That's what it takes.

01:27:05.880 --> 01:27:06.880
Like I'll go out and door dash.

01:27:06.880 --> 01:27:07.880
That's what it takes.

01:27:07.880 --> 01:27:09.880
I'll go out there and I'll sell my Xbox.

01:27:09.880 --> 01:27:10.880
That's what it takes.

01:27:10.880 --> 01:27:11.880
Okay.

01:27:11.880 --> 01:27:12.880
That's what a man's going to do.

01:27:12.880 --> 01:27:15.880
Fixing those problems and not just some men.

01:27:15.880 --> 01:27:16.880
Some men need to hear this though.

01:27:16.880 --> 01:27:20.880
Like some men just like sit there their whole life and they're just like can never get on their feet financially.

01:27:20.880 --> 01:27:21.880
And I'm like, what are you doing?

01:27:21.880 --> 01:27:24.880
Like as a man, you can fix things.

01:27:24.880 --> 01:27:25.880
It's in your DNA.

01:27:25.880 --> 01:27:30.880
It's in your nature to want to provide and want to better yourself in this life.

01:27:30.880 --> 01:27:32.880
Maybe laziness corrupts a little bit.

01:27:32.880 --> 01:27:38.880
But dude, I just can't understand like these people that will like work at like, you know, a fast food job and they'll make that their career.

01:27:38.880 --> 01:27:40.880
It's like, dude, this is not a career.

01:27:40.880 --> 01:27:41.880
This is a job.

01:27:41.880 --> 01:27:45.880
A temporary job is what it should be for you to get to the next place in your life.

01:27:45.880 --> 01:27:46.880
Okay.

01:27:46.880 --> 01:27:47.880
Like, I don't know.

01:27:47.880 --> 01:27:49.880
People, men, some men need to hear that.

01:27:49.880 --> 01:27:50.880
I'm off the track.

01:27:50.880 --> 01:27:51.880
Where are we even talking about?

01:27:51.880 --> 01:27:53.880
Oh, Psalms 37 verse 25.

01:27:53.880 --> 01:28:00.880
It says, I have been young and now I'm old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.

01:28:00.880 --> 01:28:01.880
This is the psalmist that says this.

01:28:01.880 --> 01:28:02.880
He says, you know what?

01:28:02.880 --> 01:28:05.880
The righteous are not just forsaken by God Almighty.

01:28:05.880 --> 01:28:07.880
God always has us in his mind.

01:28:07.880 --> 01:28:14.880
We teaches us right there and that his seed is not just begging for bread that God will provide for you.

01:28:14.880 --> 01:28:15.880
It is a fact.

01:28:15.880 --> 01:28:19.880
But the caveat to that is you have to be seeking him.

01:28:19.880 --> 01:28:23.880
You can't just be like, have him in your back pocket and then be like, why aren't you providing for me?

01:28:23.880 --> 01:28:26.880
God, it's like, well, are you seeking the kingdom of God first?

01:28:26.880 --> 01:28:29.880
Because he says, if you do that, he will provide for you.

01:28:29.880 --> 01:28:31.880
And that doesn't always just mean that you'll have a cush life.

01:28:31.880 --> 01:28:33.880
So I don't think that either.

01:28:33.880 --> 01:28:35.880
But it does mean that he's not going to forsake you.

01:28:35.880 --> 01:28:38.880
Like the psalmist says right here, he's not going to be like you begging for bread.

01:28:38.880 --> 01:28:42.880
He's not going to let you get to the point where you really do go homeless and you can't provide for your family.

01:28:42.880 --> 01:28:44.880
If you're seeking him first, he will provide.

01:28:44.880 --> 01:28:51.880
I'm joined that in a lot, but I want you to register that in your brain because people make dumb decisions based on money a lot as Christians.

01:28:51.880 --> 01:28:53.880
I go, man, there's a great job.

01:28:53.880 --> 01:28:58.880
And, you know, I don't even try to think of what is a dumb state.

01:28:58.880 --> 01:28:59.880
What's a dumb state?

01:28:59.880 --> 01:29:00.880
Who is it going to go?

01:29:00.880 --> 01:29:01.880
Say Montana.

01:29:01.880 --> 01:29:02.880
Montana is pretty dumb.

01:29:02.880 --> 01:29:04.880
Yeah, OK.

01:29:04.880 --> 01:29:06.880
Like what's a dirt state out there?

01:29:06.880 --> 01:29:08.880
Like there's some, there's some Maine.

01:29:08.880 --> 01:29:09.880
Who's going to Maine?

01:29:09.880 --> 01:29:10.880
Right.

01:29:10.880 --> 01:29:11.880
Yeah.

01:29:11.880 --> 01:29:12.880
Rhode Island.

01:29:12.880 --> 01:29:13.880
What?

01:29:13.880 --> 01:29:17.880
Oh, yeah, I'm going to make three hundred thousand dollars a year, but I just got to go to the middle of nowhere and have no church.

01:29:17.880 --> 01:29:19.880
It's like not a good deal then friend.

01:29:19.880 --> 01:29:21.880
Oh, forsake the love of money.

01:29:21.880 --> 01:29:22.880
Forsake that.

01:29:22.880 --> 01:29:24.880
Because if you do, God will provide for you always.

01:29:24.880 --> 01:29:26.880
He always will provide for you.

01:29:26.880 --> 01:29:27.880
Hopefully that ingredients you bring.

01:29:27.880 --> 01:29:30.880
The second thing I want to bring about this is this is that the laborer is worthy of his reward.

01:29:30.880 --> 01:29:35.880
Go to James five verse number one, James five verse number one.

01:29:35.880 --> 01:29:37.880
We're going to start pretty short here.

01:29:37.880 --> 01:29:38.880
Here.

01:29:38.880 --> 01:29:41.880
Just stay with me for a second.

01:29:41.880 --> 01:29:46.880
James five verse number one is where you guys are going to.

01:29:46.880 --> 01:29:51.880
And obviously, I hope you would always add your own caveat that there's different exceptions, different situations.

01:29:51.880 --> 01:29:52.880
We understand this.

01:29:53.880 --> 01:29:57.880
Even like I'm thinking, for example, like there was a guy recently that I heard where like his dad was dying.

01:29:57.880 --> 01:29:59.880
So he like moves to that state to take care of his dad.

01:29:59.880 --> 01:30:00.880
Hey, that's a noble cause.

01:30:00.880 --> 01:30:01.880
Right.

01:30:01.880 --> 01:30:03.880
You're supposed to honor your father and mother is what the Bible teaches.

01:30:03.880 --> 01:30:04.880
So there are exceptions.

01:30:04.880 --> 01:30:05.880
OK, so bear with me.

01:30:05.880 --> 01:30:06.880
Hopefully.

01:30:06.880 --> 01:30:10.880
I mean, I always that but I always feel like I have to do that because someone's going to just be offended by it.

01:30:10.880 --> 01:30:12.880
I'm like, brother, I'm not a retard.

01:30:12.880 --> 01:30:14.880
Like I do not just go up here and say things like just randomly.

01:30:14.880 --> 01:30:15.880
OK.

01:30:15.880 --> 01:30:16.880
OK.

01:30:16.880 --> 01:30:17.880
James five one.

01:30:18.880 --> 01:30:25.880
James five verse number one, it says, Go to now you rich men, weeping howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

01:30:25.880 --> 01:30:28.880
Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth eaten.

01:30:28.880 --> 01:30:34.880
Your gold and silver is tinkered and the rest of them shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.

01:30:34.880 --> 01:30:37.880
You have heaped treasure together for the last days.

01:30:37.880 --> 01:30:44.880
Behold, the higher the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which of you, which is of you, kept back by fraud, cry it and cry.

01:30:44.880 --> 01:30:49.880
And the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaya.

01:30:49.880 --> 01:30:54.880
So I just want to see if number one right here, this is like James bringing up the rich men doing this.

01:30:54.880 --> 01:30:58.880
And this is kind of like a leftist stereotype about like, oh, the rich, the rich, the rich.

01:30:58.880 --> 01:31:04.880
You can see here that this is something that the rich have done from the foundation of time that the rich people will hoard money and they'll screw over people that are poor.

01:31:04.880 --> 01:31:06.880
You see it right there in the Bible itself.

01:31:06.880 --> 01:31:08.880
That doesn't mean every rich man is evil.

01:31:08.880 --> 01:31:09.880
That's not true.

01:31:09.880 --> 01:31:10.880
But we do see that there's a pattern.

01:31:10.880 --> 01:31:14.880
So I don't understand why Christians will be simping for like bazillionaires.

01:31:14.880 --> 01:31:18.880
Sometimes it's like, why are we sitting for this man, especially someone like Bill Gates?

01:31:18.880 --> 01:31:20.880
Don't sit for that. He's wicked as hell.

01:31:20.880 --> 01:31:22.880
Don't you get me started on that, though.

01:31:22.880 --> 01:31:24.880
Go to first Timothy five or number 18.

01:31:24.880 --> 01:31:32.880
The thing they want to bring up about that is that that's what I was going to talk about earlier when it's talking about because these rich men are withholding their money from the laborers.

01:31:32.880 --> 01:31:34.880
What's happening to their money that they're holding?

01:31:34.880 --> 01:31:39.880
Says that their silver is tinkered and it's rusting away that God curses you where you try to get one over on him.

01:31:39.880 --> 01:31:45.880
That should also be something that you register in your mind like God deals with you according to your sins.

01:31:45.880 --> 01:31:46.880
So that should scare you.

01:31:46.880 --> 01:31:48.880
So if you're stealing money, it's never going to be enough for you.

01:31:48.880 --> 01:31:50.880
If lying, it's never going to be enough for you.

01:31:50.880 --> 01:31:52.880
There's no sin in this life.

01:31:52.880 --> 01:31:55.880
We're going to get one over on God because he's not mocked is what we see.

01:31:55.880 --> 01:31:58.880
But the reason I titled this like, you know, the labor is worthy of his reward.

01:31:58.880 --> 01:32:03.880
I know I just talked about this in Corinthians, but what time is it more evident than right now that that should be talked about?

01:32:03.880 --> 01:32:08.880
That listen to me, it is wrong to pay people dirt cheap wages.

01:32:08.880 --> 01:32:09.880
This is not biblical.

01:32:09.880 --> 01:32:14.880
OK, just paying people pennies so that they have to scrape by is not a Bible quality.

01:32:14.880 --> 01:32:16.880
It's not a Christian quality.

01:32:16.880 --> 01:32:25.880
The wind says there in First Timothy 518, it says for the scripture say it shall not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn and the laborer is worthy of his reward.

01:32:25.880 --> 01:32:28.880
And go to Colossians 4, 1 Colossians 4, verse number one, really quickly.

01:32:28.880 --> 01:32:31.880
Only have like two more places and we'll be done with the sermon.

01:32:32.880 --> 01:32:41.880
I talked about this a lot, but we there's like a culture amongst Baptists, though, and I'm not about the are Baptist per se, but I am talking about like the old school Baptist, like Hiles, for example.

01:32:42.880 --> 01:32:43.880
Who has a lot of good things about them.

01:32:43.880 --> 01:32:49.880
But one of the things I do remember is that my pastor telling me that they would just screw all their employees on their wages.

01:32:49.880 --> 01:32:50.880
It's like they did.

01:32:50.880 --> 01:32:57.880
It was like a game to them to see how little they could pay the people that work for them and like the people that are on their staff or whatever.

01:32:57.880 --> 01:33:00.880
It was a game to them to see how much they could basically short people.

01:33:01.880 --> 01:33:02.880
This is not of God, though.

01:33:02.880 --> 01:33:03.880
This is not right.

01:33:03.880 --> 01:33:05.880
The laborer is worthy of his reward.

01:33:05.880 --> 01:33:12.880
That doesn't mean that every award you have to get has to be some crazy gift, but it does mean that people should be paid what they deserve.

01:33:12.880 --> 01:33:13.880
What's what they deserve, what they're owed.

01:33:13.880 --> 01:33:16.880
OK, that's what we see in Colossians 4, 1.

01:33:16.880 --> 01:33:24.880
It says masters given to your servants that which is just and equal, knowing that you also have a master in heaven.

01:33:24.880 --> 01:33:30.880
So what we should take from that is that obviously if you're paying someone to work for you, you should pay them that which is just and that which is equal.

01:33:30.880 --> 01:33:36.880
That's what the Bible literally says, not just like having people scrape by with the wages that you're giving them.

01:33:36.880 --> 01:33:37.880
It's not right.

01:33:37.880 --> 01:33:40.880
And he says right there, think the fact that you have a master in heaven as well.

01:33:40.880 --> 01:33:46.880
And if that's how you're treating people, it should be a scary thought for you to think that God could also do that to you.

01:33:46.880 --> 01:33:48.880
You're like, oh, you're going to pay people pennies.

01:33:48.880 --> 01:33:50.880
Your awards are also going to be relative to that.

01:33:50.880 --> 01:33:51.880
They're going to be pennies as well.

01:33:51.880 --> 01:33:52.880
You think you're doing all this work.

01:33:52.880 --> 01:33:53.880
God, I did all this great work.

01:33:53.880 --> 01:33:55.880
He's like, yeah, but so are the people that were working for you.

01:33:55.880 --> 01:33:56.880
And what did you pay them?

01:33:56.880 --> 01:33:57.880
It should scare you.

01:33:57.880 --> 01:33:58.880
It's Christian.

01:33:58.880 --> 01:33:59.880
It's a sobering thought.

01:33:59.880 --> 01:34:00.880
Very interesting.

01:34:00.880 --> 01:34:06.880
Go to the last place I go is Proverbs 6 verse 16, Proverbs 6 verse number 16.

01:34:06.880 --> 01:34:11.880
People what they deserve because here's the thing.

01:34:11.880 --> 01:34:12.880
You talk about that.

01:34:12.880 --> 01:34:22.880
Like some of I saw some people say about the Philippines and I understand this because I kind of was thinking this not not to a major degree, but I was just thinking like, oh, well, if you're getting paid in the Philippines, it's got to be big money.

01:34:22.880 --> 01:34:27.880
Because compared to America, you know, the money goes a long ways over there is what I'd say.

01:34:27.880 --> 01:34:28.880
But here's the thing about this.

01:34:28.880 --> 01:34:31.880
And this is what the guy was telling me in my class.

01:34:31.880 --> 01:34:34.880
He lives used to live in the Philippines and he's American.

01:34:34.880 --> 01:34:36.880
So he knows exactly what the deal is with that over there.

01:34:36.880 --> 01:34:42.880
He was saying when he looked at those payments for Matthew Stuckey over there, he was like, they're laughable, laughable.

01:34:42.880 --> 01:34:43.880
He said it's terrible.

01:34:43.880 --> 01:34:44.880
He's like, you're scraping by.

01:34:44.880 --> 01:34:48.880
He's like, that's not enough to survive on because he said over there, people think it's all great.

01:34:49.880 --> 01:34:54.880
But it's like you have to think you have like health care that you're going to have to pay a ton of money for over there.

01:34:54.880 --> 01:34:56.880
And he said they have an American tax over there.

01:34:56.880 --> 01:34:59.880
So it's not like you just go over there and be like, oh, yeah, I'm just going to make all this money.

01:34:59.880 --> 01:35:02.880
It's like the government always finds a way to get their money.

01:35:02.880 --> 01:35:07.880
OK, so I thought that was a good insight from him because he lived in the Philippines.

01:35:07.880 --> 01:35:08.880
Now he lives in America, but he's an American.

01:35:08.880 --> 01:35:14.880
OK, so he's just like when he when he told me that, I was just like, man, that's it's crazy to get that insight on that.

01:35:14.880 --> 01:35:17.880
It's not it's not like he's just like living over like a king over there.

01:35:17.880 --> 01:35:19.880
He's the his name is Brother Sam.

01:35:19.880 --> 01:35:23.880
He told me he was like, that is him scraping by over there.

01:35:23.880 --> 01:35:27.880
I can tell for someone who's getting so many people say over there, why would that be your attitude?

01:35:27.880 --> 01:35:28.880
Isn't that so weird?

01:35:28.880 --> 01:35:37.880
Why would you want to screw your brother or sister in Christ over, especially when they're doing a good work for God, when you want to pay them more so that they can reach more people?

01:35:37.880 --> 01:35:43.880
But when you get focused on your own bills and we get focused on your own life, you stop thinking about the spiritual things.

01:35:43.880 --> 01:35:45.880
And this is what happened in this scenario.

01:35:45.880 --> 01:35:46.880
Very unfortunately.

01:35:46.880 --> 01:35:48.880
OK, it's just it's tough, man.

01:35:48.880 --> 01:35:56.880
Like I was I told you guys before, but it's just like I cannot believe that this is what the state of things have went with everything there blows me away.

01:35:56.880 --> 01:36:02.880
Proverbs 12 verse number 12, it says, lying lips are an abomination of the Lord, but they that deal truly are his delight.

01:36:02.880 --> 01:36:04.880
The last thing I want to talk about, and it's going to be very simple.

01:36:04.880 --> 01:36:09.880
I'm going to end the sermon is is that lying is an abomination before God Almighty.

01:36:10.880 --> 01:36:12.880
Very clearly, you guys are there in part six or 16.

01:36:12.880 --> 01:36:33.880
It says to as well, it says these six things that the Lord is seven or an abomination of him, a proud look, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that divides imaginations, wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speak of lies and he that sow with discord among the brethren.

01:36:33.880 --> 01:36:40.880
What's so interesting to me about this that he lists off these seven things and two of them are lying or at least forms of lying right here.

01:36:40.880 --> 01:36:45.880
That's to show you that God like I like a double hatred for a double hatred for dishonesty.

01:36:45.880 --> 01:36:51.880
And that should also be something that we realize as Christians because we get this idea sometimes that like, oh, lying isn't that big of a deal.

01:36:51.880 --> 01:36:55.880
Even we say it out so many, you know, it's like we like he's pairing the liars with the murderers.

01:36:55.880 --> 01:37:02.880
And we all understand that the reason why he does this to some degree is because he does want us all to understand that sin is sin and it will damn you to hell.

01:37:02.880 --> 01:37:11.880
But here's the thing about lying is that God hates lying is what he specifically says that it is something that he is an abomination to him.

01:37:11.880 --> 01:37:14.880
And we should not take that lightly because he doesn't say this about all sense.

01:37:14.880 --> 01:37:17.880
I'm sure that God hates sin all sin in some form.

01:37:17.880 --> 01:37:25.880
But it's like he specifically singles out lying twice right here in this power that to show us that this is a big deal to God Almighty.

01:37:25.880 --> 01:37:35.880
And so just the little white lies that we tell are not acceptable before God in any scenario because this is what people do sometimes sometimes to save their own butts.

01:37:35.880 --> 01:37:38.880
The law about things and they'll think it's a noble cause.

01:37:38.880 --> 01:37:43.880
But listen to me, it is never a noble cause when you're just lying to save your own skin period.

01:37:43.880 --> 01:37:46.880
God demands honesty.

01:37:46.880 --> 01:37:50.880
God demands you to be upright and just because that's how he is.

01:37:50.880 --> 01:37:54.880
And it's an abomination to not walk like this as God Almighty does as well.

01:37:54.880 --> 01:37:58.880
And we saw here that he hates the balance, but he also hates because it's wrong.

01:37:58.880 --> 01:38:01.880
I mean, really stealing and lying are like basically cousins to each other.

01:38:01.880 --> 01:38:03.880
They're like the same thing.

01:38:03.880 --> 01:38:06.880
But you should realize that God has a special hatred for those kinds of things.

01:38:06.880 --> 01:38:11.880
So I is unacceptable as a Christian, whether it's to save your own skin.

01:38:11.880 --> 01:38:12.880
I'm talking about like a little thing.

01:38:12.880 --> 01:38:15.880
We understand what I'm saying right there or whether just like a little white lie.

01:38:15.880 --> 01:38:16.880
OK, no such thing.

01:38:16.880 --> 01:38:22.880
Every single lie, every single sentence one would tell you on or would would say on this earth would damn you to hell.

01:38:22.880 --> 01:38:27.880
That's the truth of the matter, which means they're not small, which means they're not tiny in any scenario.

01:38:27.880 --> 01:38:34.880
So bringing up accusations against people just to save your own skin, not acceptable, not OK.

01:38:34.880 --> 01:38:40.880
Just playing games with your words, being sceptical with your words to get one over on someone.

01:38:40.880 --> 01:38:42.880
Not OK before God Almighty.

01:38:42.880 --> 01:38:45.880
Deceitful, it's wicked as hell is what the Bible teaches.

01:38:45.880 --> 01:38:49.880
So we as Christians need to walk in truth and righteousness.

01:38:49.880 --> 01:38:51.880
This is what the Bible is teaching right here very clearly.

01:38:51.880 --> 01:38:55.880
And I'm sure you can see the connection to this whole situation with all three of these things.

01:38:55.880 --> 01:38:56.880
It's very obvious.

01:38:56.880 --> 01:38:59.880
But in Pimp's on my book, because I'll close on this thought too.

01:38:59.880 --> 01:39:03.880
Sometimes people will be like, oh, the drama, the drama, like why we all preach about the drama?

01:39:03.880 --> 01:39:05.880
But I'm just like, this is relevant.

01:39:05.880 --> 01:39:07.880
Like, doesn't this make sense to preach about right now?

01:39:07.880 --> 01:39:09.880
You're like, hey, something bad's happening.

01:39:09.880 --> 01:39:11.880
Let's address it. That's edifying to everybody in this room.

01:39:11.880 --> 01:39:12.880
Why would I do that?

01:39:12.880 --> 01:39:15.880
It's not like I'm only talking about the drama and just like my opinions about it.

01:39:15.880 --> 01:39:16.880
I'm like, this is what's wrong.

01:39:16.880 --> 01:39:17.880
And here's what the Bible says.

01:39:17.880 --> 01:39:20.880
Here's what we can learn from this real life situation.

01:39:20.880 --> 01:39:26.880
I think it's really the best way to learn things from the Bible when you're comparing it from to something in real life, because then it's tangible to you.

01:39:26.880 --> 01:39:30.880
Then you can like kind of see it and you're like, oh, this makes a lot of sense.

01:39:30.880 --> 01:39:31.880
But so I'm closing for this.

01:39:31.880 --> 01:39:34.880
I just say this, that stealing is an abomination.

01:39:34.880 --> 01:39:36.880
God will judge you for the things you do.

01:39:36.880 --> 01:39:38.880
That should terrify you on this earth.

01:39:38.880 --> 01:39:44.880
Don't start to disobey the commandments because you're scared that God's not going to provide for you or that you have to like provide for yourself.

01:39:44.880 --> 01:39:47.880
This is the opposite of what you should be doing.

01:39:47.880 --> 01:39:48.880
You should go to this is what you should do.

01:39:48.880 --> 01:39:56.880
You should go to God in prayer and say, listen, God, I've been doing everything that you've asked of me and I feel like I'm not being provided for.

01:39:56.880 --> 01:39:57.880
Will you help me here?

01:39:57.880 --> 01:39:59.880
And God, we know he's going to take care of you because he promises it.

01:39:59.880 --> 01:40:00.880
That's what you should do.

01:40:00.880 --> 01:40:03.880
Not just like I guess this Christianity anything doesn't work.

01:40:03.880 --> 01:40:06.880
I'm moving to, you know, Minnesota or something like that.

01:40:06.880 --> 01:40:08.880
OK, something like that.

01:40:08.880 --> 01:40:10.880
I got to get the Vikings.

01:40:10.880 --> 01:40:12.880
OK, we'll come up with a dumb state of venture.

01:40:12.880 --> 01:40:16.880
The second thing is, is that the labor is worthy of his reward.

01:40:16.880 --> 01:40:24.880
You should not be screwing people, whether you're paying someone to do a work for you, whether you're running a business or whether it's just an odd job that someone's doing for you.

01:40:24.880 --> 01:40:24.880

01:40:24.880 --> 01:40:25.880
It's good idea as well.

01:40:25.880 --> 01:40:32.880
Like in our culture, tipping people, if someone is a waitress to you and they're like serving you properly, give them a proper tip for it.

01:40:32.880 --> 01:40:35.880
Doesn't have to be, you know, 50 percent of the bill or whatever.

01:40:35.880 --> 01:40:36.880
They always have these weird amounts.

01:40:36.880 --> 01:40:40.880
OK, if I'm typing 10 percent to God, a waitress is not any more than that.

01:40:40.880 --> 01:40:42.880
OK, amen, amen.

01:40:42.880 --> 01:40:45.880
But but they like they're making their wages off of tips.

01:40:45.880 --> 01:40:46.880
So it's like that's something.

01:40:46.880 --> 01:40:47.880
Same thing with haircuts, by the way.

01:40:47.880 --> 01:40:48.880
But there's a there's a lot of things.

01:40:48.880 --> 01:40:50.880
Door dash to is another one.

01:40:50.880 --> 01:40:52.880
You kind of learn those things when you actually like get involved.

01:40:52.880 --> 01:40:53.880
But this is neither here nor there.

01:40:53.880 --> 01:40:54.880
The labor is worthy of his reward, though.

01:40:54.880 --> 01:40:58.880
My point is pay people what they're owed when you when they do a service for you.

01:40:58.880 --> 01:41:01.880
The last thing is that lying is an abomination before God.

01:41:01.880 --> 01:41:02.880
God hates lying.

01:41:02.880 --> 01:41:04.880
He mentioned it twice specifically.

01:41:04.880 --> 01:41:10.880
And we should be concerned about truth as Christians, not just when it benefits us, but at all costs.

01:41:10.880 --> 01:41:12.880
That's what the psalm says that we sing often.

01:41:12.880 --> 01:41:15.880
Right. He that swears to his own hurt and change it not.

01:41:15.880 --> 01:41:18.880
You stick to the truth, even if to your own hurt, even to your own suffering.

01:41:18.880 --> 01:41:19.880
That's what the Bible says.

01:41:19.880 --> 01:41:20.880
That's integrity.

01:41:20.880 --> 01:41:22.880
That's what we should be about as Christians.

01:41:22.880 --> 01:41:23.880
That'll be in. So let's pray.

01:41:23.880 --> 01:41:24.880
Give the God these wonderful day.

01:41:24.880 --> 01:41:26.880
Thank you so much for everything you do for us, God.

01:41:26.880 --> 01:41:30.880
Thank you so much for the great things that we've been able to do at this church.

01:41:30.880 --> 01:41:31.880
God, your power this year.

01:41:31.880 --> 01:41:34.880
God, all the people that have heard the gospel and gotten saved.

01:41:34.880 --> 01:41:40.880
I just pray that you would increase us more, God, in that regard, help us to get more people saved and more people to get baptized and more people to come to church and join.

01:41:40.880 --> 01:41:44.880
I just pray that you be with the preaching tonight, God.

01:41:44.880 --> 01:41:46.880
And I pray that you'd fill them with your Holy Spirit.

01:41:46.880 --> 01:41:51.880
I just pray that you would help our church, God, to keep our focus on you truly.

01:41:51.880 --> 01:42:04.880
And I pray that through the drama, God, and through the the wrong of this situation and through the heartbreak that we feel sometimes for people not living up to our expectations or for people just doing things that we don't understand.

01:42:04.880 --> 01:42:09.880
God, I just pray that you'd help us to realize that through this all we have to keep our focus on you.

01:42:09.880 --> 01:42:12.880
And you are the most important in this world.

01:42:12.880 --> 01:42:15.880
So in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

01:42:15.880 --> 01:42:27.880
Last song is going to be song number 185, My Savior's Love.

01:42:27.880 --> 01:42:36.880
Song number 185, My Savior's Love.

01:42:36.880 --> 01:42:38.880
Let's sing it together on the first.

01:43:06.880 --> 01:43:16.880
How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior's love for me.

01:43:16.880 --> 01:43:25.880
For me it was in the garden, he prayed not my will but thine.

01:43:25.880 --> 01:43:34.880
He had no tears for his own grief, but sweat drops of blood for mine.

01:43:34.880 --> 01:43:43.880
How marvelous, how wonderful, and my song shall ever be.

01:43:43.880 --> 01:43:53.880
How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior's love for me.

01:43:53.880 --> 01:44:02.880
He took my sins and my sorrows, he made them his very own.

01:44:02.880 --> 01:44:11.880
He bore the burden to Calvary and suffered and died alone.

01:44:11.880 --> 01:44:20.880
How marvelous, how wonderful, and my song shall ever be.

01:44:20.880 --> 01:44:29.880
How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior's love for me.

01:44:29.880 --> 01:44:39.880
On the last, when with the ransomed in glory his faith I at last shall see.

01:44:39.880 --> 01:44:49.880
T'will be my joy through the ages to sing of his love for me.

01:44:49.880 --> 01:44:58.880
How marvelous, how wonderful, and my song shall ever be.

01:44:58.880 --> 01:45:08.880
How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior's love for me.

01:45:28.880 --> 01:45:30.880
Thank you.

01:45:58.880 --> 01:46:00.880
Thank you.

01:46:28.880 --> 01:46:30.880
Thank you.
