WEBVTT

00:00.000 --> 00:19.880
Amen.

00:19.880 --> 00:24.840
So we're going to be reading out of Revelation chapter 5, so turn in your Bible, Revelation

00:24.840 --> 00:26.920
chapter 5.

00:26.920 --> 00:37.480
Let's follow along silently as we read Revelation chapter 5.

00:37.480 --> 00:40.320
Revelation chapter 5, the Bible reads,

00:40.320 --> 00:44.920
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on

00:44.920 --> 00:49.200
the backside, sealed with seven seals.

00:49.200 --> 00:53.640
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book

00:53.760 --> 00:55.920
and to loose the seals thereof.

00:55.920 --> 01:00.280
And no man in heaven nor on earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book,

01:00.280 --> 01:02.160
neither to look thereon.

01:02.160 --> 01:06.920
And I wept much because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look

01:06.920 --> 01:08.760
thereon.

01:08.760 --> 01:13.560
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not, behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah,

01:13.560 --> 01:19.240
the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals thereof.

01:19.280 --> 01:24.240
And I beheld and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of

01:24.240 --> 01:29.720
the elders stood a lamb, as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are

01:29.720 --> 01:33.800
the seven spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

01:33.800 --> 01:39.280
And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

01:39.280 --> 01:44.160
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the four and twenty elders fell down before

01:44.160 --> 01:48.920
the lamb, having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the

01:48.920 --> 01:50.960
prayers of saints.

01:50.960 --> 01:55.360
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and to open the seals

01:55.360 --> 02:00.440
thereof, for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood, out of every kindred

02:00.440 --> 02:08.880
and tongue and people and nation, and hast made us unto our God, kings and priests, and

02:08.880 --> 02:11.280
we shall reign on the earth.

02:11.280 --> 02:15.640
And I beheld and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne, and the beasts

02:15.720 --> 02:20.320
and the elders, and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands

02:20.320 --> 02:26.320
of thousands, saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power

02:26.320 --> 02:31.720
and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.

02:31.720 --> 02:36.040
And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as

02:36.040 --> 02:41.680
are in the sea and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing and honor and glory and

02:41.680 --> 02:46.960
power be unto him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the lamb forever and ever.

02:46.960 --> 02:49.000
And the four beasts said, Amen.

02:49.000 --> 02:53.960
And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped him that liveth forever and ever.

02:53.960 --> 02:54.960
Let's pray.

02:54.960 --> 02:57.080
Heavenly Father, thank you so much, Lord, for this church.

02:57.080 --> 03:00.920
I pray that you fill our pastor with your spirit as he reads the book or preaches the

03:00.920 --> 03:02.680
book of Revelation to us, Lord.

03:02.680 --> 03:04.960
Just give us ears to hear in Jesus' name, Amen.

03:04.960 --> 03:05.960
Amen.

03:06.240 --> 03:13.280
We're in Revelation chapter five and we've gotten through the seven different churches

03:13.280 --> 03:25.080
and we are now in chapter five and this is covering the book with the seven seals, this

03:25.080 --> 03:29.960
passage here and obviously a lot more than that, but that is, I guess the title of my

03:29.960 --> 03:33.360
sermon is the book with seven seals.

03:33.760 --> 03:36.320
And let's look at verse number one.

03:36.320 --> 03:40.920
The Bible says, And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written

03:40.920 --> 03:48.480
within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

03:48.480 --> 03:53.080
And so when it's the Bible saying book here, it's not a book as in like something that

03:53.080 --> 03:57.280
we would, you know, it's not the books as they're bound today, but probably more like

03:57.280 --> 04:03.280
a scroll that it's talking about because it has these seven seals covering over the

04:03.280 --> 04:04.720
top of it.

04:04.720 --> 04:11.040
That's more than likely what it's talking about, but it says it's sealed with seven

04:11.040 --> 04:18.320
seals this book and this book is a very powerful book because apparently people can't open

04:18.320 --> 04:20.240
it unless they're worthy.

04:20.240 --> 04:27.240
So the seals of wax though is normally what, if somebody had a roll, like if you ever see

04:27.240 --> 04:34.360
like ancient scrolls or just, you know, maybe seen, you know, scrolls in your life at all,

04:34.360 --> 04:39.080
you could seal those with, you know, some kind of wax, you know, and when people would

04:39.080 --> 04:43.160
take these from place to place, they'd put a seal on those things.

04:43.160 --> 04:47.760
They weren't to be broken unless the king said so, you know, in certain kingdoms like

04:47.760 --> 04:48.760
that.

04:48.760 --> 04:51.000
And that's how you would know that someone has opened the seal that wasn't supposed

04:51.000 --> 04:52.000
to open it.

04:52.000 --> 04:57.480
So here you have a seal, these seven seals that are on books so that it stops people

04:57.480 --> 05:03.360
from being able to open it and it's not just a physical thing, this is a spiritual thing.

05:03.360 --> 05:07.920
Only those that are worthy are able to open this book.

05:07.920 --> 05:12.580
And so those seals would ensure that they're not opened except by those that are allowed

05:12.580 --> 05:13.580
to open them.

05:13.580 --> 05:19.280
So, I mean, because we didn't have books bound like this until what the printing press was

05:20.120 --> 05:27.120
and before that was all, you know, scrolls or rolls as they're called in the Bible.

05:27.120 --> 05:38.240
So, yeah, anyway, but notice that it says that they're written within and on the backside

05:38.240 --> 05:40.920
proving that God is a conservationist.

05:40.920 --> 05:43.760
He didn't want to waste any paper.

05:43.760 --> 05:49.200
So apparently, I don't know if it's made out of paper or not, it doesn't really say, but

05:50.000 --> 05:55.600
when I get my sermon notes printed, I hate having the notes printed on front and back

05:55.600 --> 05:59.320
because sometimes it just messes me up and I'm going to lose track, especially if I haven't

05:59.320 --> 06:00.320
put the page number.

06:00.320 --> 06:05.920
Sometimes I forget to put a page number on my sermon notes and then that can really mess

06:05.920 --> 06:06.920
me up.

06:06.920 --> 06:11.240
I realize that I stapled one of the pages upside down too, so I'm going to have to flip

06:11.240 --> 06:13.720
it and get all crazy with it.

06:13.720 --> 06:18.680
But, yeah, I mean, I'm joking around about the conservation thing, but it's funny, we

06:18.680 --> 06:25.640
got a, I opened up the mail and I had a letter written to me that had one of our invitations

06:25.640 --> 06:32.400
in it and that's not the first time or probably the last time I ever had, you know, something

06:32.400 --> 06:38.600
put in the mail with our, I mean, I've had our invites mailed back to us, I don't know,

06:38.600 --> 06:42.640
lots of times though, more than, probably more than 10.

06:42.640 --> 06:48.200
And it's people that are mad because we left something on their door, you know, and really

06:48.200 --> 06:54.160
what they're mad about, they're not mad about the paper necessarily, you know, that's wasting

06:54.160 --> 06:59.280
trees lives or whatever, you know, trees lives matter, but according to some people, but

06:59.280 --> 07:04.040
I mean, it's funny because God's going to burn all those trees up when he, you know,

07:04.040 --> 07:05.880
is unleashing all these plagues on humanity.

07:05.880 --> 07:13.960
But anyway, I got this letter and it had a handwritten note on a piece of paper and it

07:13.960 --> 07:22.240
said, if you want to go to heaven, don't waste trees by cutting them down to make the garbage

07:22.240 --> 07:24.360
that you're putting on my door.

07:24.360 --> 07:29.440
So basically they're saying that I'm not going to go to heaven because we wasted trees lives

07:29.440 --> 07:34.600
in order to, you know, somebody had to cut a tree down to make those invites that we

07:34.600 --> 07:36.080
produce.

07:36.080 --> 07:40.640
And I've had that letter for a while and I just looked at it again the other day and

07:41.640 --> 07:45.520
got me, you know, I'm going to hell because, you know, we put an invitation on your door

07:45.520 --> 07:47.000
or something.

07:47.000 --> 07:51.240
But what I wanted to point out about that though, is that the note was written on a

07:51.240 --> 07:55.580
separate sheet of its own paper.

07:55.580 --> 07:58.960
And so she's getting on to me for cutting trees down.

07:58.960 --> 08:00.160
But what did she do?

08:00.160 --> 08:04.560
She took a she took the time, you know, out of her day, which, you know, time, time is

08:04.560 --> 08:08.040
money or time, you know, time is very valuable.

08:08.040 --> 08:13.000
But she took the time to take the invite, place it in an envelope, which I believe is

08:13.000 --> 08:16.600
also made out of paper, right?

08:16.600 --> 08:19.860
So she wrote a handwritten note on paper.

08:19.860 --> 08:23.280
She put it in an envelope made out of paper.

08:23.280 --> 08:29.760
And then she also wasted her carbon footprint by using a pencil, you know, she wasted the

08:30.320 --> 08:35.000
that's in that pencil, which could have been used for something else besides harassing

08:35.000 --> 08:36.000
a church.

08:36.000 --> 08:40.280
And, you know, the pencils made out of what are pencils made out of?

08:40.280 --> 08:42.560
Oh, they're made out of wood, aren't they?

08:42.560 --> 08:47.280
You know, and I could tell it wasn't done by like, you know, a, you know, a woodless,

08:47.280 --> 08:49.640
you know, the how they have the mechanical pencils.

08:49.640 --> 08:53.080
I could tell it wasn't by a mechanical pencil because it'd be really thin, you know, it

08:53.080 --> 08:56.900
was obvious that it was like a wooden pencil that they used.

08:56.900 --> 09:02.780
So they used a paper envelope, a piece of notebook paper.

09:02.780 --> 09:05.180
And they also put a stamp on it, too.

09:05.180 --> 09:08.600
So I'm pretty sure stamps are made out of paper also.

09:08.600 --> 09:12.140
And so she wasted all that those trees lies.

09:12.140 --> 09:14.420
I mean, talk about being a hypocrite.

09:14.420 --> 09:15.420
You're talking about me.

09:15.420 --> 09:19.900
You know, that that invitation is far more valuable than anything that she spent.

09:19.900 --> 09:21.420
It's far more valuable than any trees.

09:22.300 --> 09:28.980
And get saved by going to the links and, you know, maybe just learning Bible knowledge

09:28.980 --> 09:32.280
from the things that are on our website.

09:32.280 --> 09:35.680
But it's funny, she, you know, she thinks she's got me.

09:35.680 --> 09:39.540
But in reality, she's the big hypocrite for using a bunch of trees.

09:39.540 --> 09:42.140
Well, I mean, it probably didn't take a bunch of trees.

09:42.140 --> 09:43.140
But you know what I'm saying?

09:43.140 --> 09:51.220
That she's getting on to me about and just writing, you know, what she did is not showing

09:51.700 --> 09:54.140
that she loves trees necessarily to me.

09:54.140 --> 09:59.860
What she did shows that she hates God enough to where she took the time to mail that back

09:59.860 --> 10:00.860
to us.

10:00.860 --> 10:02.420
And she's not the only person who's ever done that.

10:02.420 --> 10:04.660
I've had that happen multiple times.

10:04.660 --> 10:10.660
But again, what a hypocrite, you know, telling me I'm going to hell because of trees.

10:10.660 --> 10:12.980
And then she uses trees to send the message.

10:12.980 --> 10:19.620
So and this is like one of those so-called little old ladies that just never believed

10:19.620 --> 10:21.140
in Jesus or something.

10:21.140 --> 10:25.580
You know, sometimes we look at people when they're old and they look innocent or whatever,

10:25.580 --> 10:27.300
and they seem like they're nice.

10:27.300 --> 10:29.900
But when you knock on their door and try to give them an invitation or try to preach the

10:29.900 --> 10:31.900
gospel to them, this is how they act.

10:31.900 --> 10:33.460
This is how they respond.

10:33.460 --> 10:38.340
And there are a lot of Karens out there in this generation.

10:38.340 --> 10:41.220
And there's a lot of, I guess you call them Kans or whatever.

10:41.220 --> 10:43.380
But there is a lot of Karens out there.

10:43.380 --> 10:45.980
They're, you know, I like to speak to the manager.

10:46.020 --> 10:52.260
And I get a lot of, I got a lot of messages on my phone with similar things and, you know,

10:52.260 --> 10:54.380
or just telling us not to come back or whatever.

10:54.380 --> 10:57.980
It's like they take the time instead of just saying, you know what, I'm not interested

10:57.980 --> 11:02.660
in throwing that in the trash, that they have to just call.

11:02.660 --> 11:06.940
They use the phone, they call and they try to leave a message and just complain about

11:06.940 --> 11:12.540
it and they get their apartment manager all riled up and they call me and tell me, you're

11:12.540 --> 11:13.540
not allowed back.

11:13.580 --> 11:17.860
If you come back, your church comes back, we're going to trespass you.

11:17.860 --> 11:24.740
And it's like all that, all that effort because we came and just tried to get you saved and

11:24.740 --> 11:27.020
put an invitation on your door.

11:27.020 --> 11:30.940
I mean, they probably deal with more junk mail every single week.

11:30.940 --> 11:33.660
You know, I mean, I get all kinds, who gets junk mail in here?

11:33.660 --> 11:36.260
Yeah, it's kind of unavoidable.

11:36.260 --> 11:40.180
And you know what, most of the mail I get, I throw in the trash.

11:40.180 --> 11:42.540
I throw in the recycling bin.

11:42.540 --> 11:47.380
But you know, God forbid that we would put something on your door that would save your

11:47.380 --> 11:48.380
life.

11:48.380 --> 11:52.980
And you know, like I said, these are like the types of people that you would think,

11:52.980 --> 11:56.860
you know, according to Billy Graham, this person's saved.

11:56.860 --> 11:58.900
Because everybody's saved according to Billy Graham.

11:58.900 --> 12:03.340
I mean, he just said, you know, whether you come from the Muslim world or whether you

12:03.340 --> 12:08.300
come from the atheist world or the unbelieving world, I believe that they're part of the

12:08.300 --> 12:11.940
body of Christ and that they'll be in heaven with us someday.

12:12.340 --> 12:13.340
Right.

12:13.340 --> 12:14.340
It's pretty close.

12:14.340 --> 12:19.740
But and then the weirdo that he's talking to in that interview, his eyes look like,

12:19.740 --> 12:24.100
you know, he just left the what's that cult, the hell bop cult or whatever.

12:24.100 --> 12:25.100
It looks like that dude.

12:25.100 --> 12:30.620
He's like, there's a great wideness in the love of God and the forgiveness of God or

12:30.620 --> 12:31.620
something.

12:31.620 --> 12:32.620
It's like, that's a lie.

12:32.620 --> 12:35.700
That is a lie straight out of hell.

12:35.700 --> 12:39.380
And you know, there's a lot of people that are going to hell today and people just think,

12:39.380 --> 12:41.580
oh, well, that person doesn't deserve to go to hell.

12:42.220 --> 12:43.220
They're just living their life.

12:43.220 --> 12:46.220
Well, you know, this work, I'm in the book of Revelation.

12:46.220 --> 12:50.660
And there's a reason why God is so angry when he comes back and why he's destroying these

12:50.660 --> 12:53.980
unbelievers is because of probably just things like that.

12:53.980 --> 12:55.820
I mean, what was that meant to do?

12:55.820 --> 13:00.340
Discourage me, discourage our church from going and knocking on doors and leaving invitations

13:00.340 --> 13:01.740
out there.

13:01.740 --> 13:06.140
And you know, I only bring that up because the weight, you know, I talked about the wasting

13:06.140 --> 13:10.580
of the paper on the, you know, God doesn't waste paper on the scroll or whatever.

13:10.580 --> 13:15.940
But it's just like that person was such a major hypocrite and that lady is going to

13:15.940 --> 13:19.420
hell because she hasn't believed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

13:19.420 --> 13:23.180
It's not because she's not a good person or whatever.

13:23.180 --> 13:26.020
People die and go to hell because they don't believe.

13:26.020 --> 13:28.100
That's the real truth of the matter.

13:28.100 --> 13:30.940
And there's two types of people in this world, those that believe and those that believe

13:30.940 --> 13:31.940
not.

13:31.940 --> 13:34.540
And obviously she believes not.

13:34.540 --> 13:39.340
So that person needs to repent because the kingdom of God is at hand.

13:39.420 --> 13:40.420
Let's look at verse number two tonight.

13:40.420 --> 13:46.220
It says, and I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the

13:46.220 --> 13:50.580
book and to eluce the seals thereof?

13:50.580 --> 13:56.540
So again, there's this role in heaven, this book as it's called here with seven seals

13:56.540 --> 13:57.540
on it.

13:57.540 --> 14:03.820
And this, this, it says, notice it says a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice.

14:03.820 --> 14:05.540
And it's basically why?

14:05.540 --> 14:08.340
Because he wants everybody to hear, you know?

14:08.340 --> 14:15.540
And so obviously this is a question that is asked of humanity.

14:15.540 --> 14:18.020
Who can open this book?

14:18.020 --> 14:20.900
And look at what it says in verse three.

14:20.900 --> 14:25.740
It says, and no man in heaven, which proves that men are already in heaven, by the way,

14:25.740 --> 14:30.340
if they die, because how is there men in heaven according to that verse?

14:30.340 --> 14:32.740
Or how is there not, you know, people will say, well, there's soul sleep.

14:32.740 --> 14:36.340
It's like, no, there's no such thing as soul sleep.

14:36.340 --> 14:39.700
So your body rests in the earth, wherever that might be.

14:39.700 --> 14:42.980
But look at what it says, and no man in heaven nor in earth.

14:42.980 --> 14:44.580
So are there men in heaven right now?

14:44.580 --> 14:45.660
Yes, there are.

14:45.660 --> 14:49.420
Will there be men in heaven during this scene in heaven?

14:49.420 --> 14:50.500
Absolutely.

14:50.500 --> 14:54.540
And so to say that, that, you know, nobody goes to heaven until a certain time, that's

14:54.540 --> 14:55.780
just not true.

14:55.780 --> 14:59.180
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

14:59.180 --> 15:03.140
The day that we close our eyes and die, you know, if you're saved, you're going to go

15:03.140 --> 15:05.700
to heaven, straight to heaven.

15:05.740 --> 15:09.220
And you know, what kind of body you will have, I don't think you'll have a body because

15:09.220 --> 15:10.420
your body is down here.

15:10.420 --> 15:16.100
The body will be combined together back with your spirit and soul when Jesus comes back

15:16.100 --> 15:18.900
and resurrects your body.

15:18.900 --> 15:28.620
So but it says, no man is worthy to loose the seals in heaven or earth, nor to open

15:28.620 --> 15:29.620
the book.

15:29.620 --> 15:33.980
And it says, neither to look thereon.

15:33.980 --> 15:39.580
So they can't open it, they can't look at it.

15:39.580 --> 15:41.700
They're not able to loose the seals.

15:41.700 --> 15:47.340
No man in heaven nor in earth nor under the earth was able to open the book.

15:47.340 --> 15:50.860
So I mean, I think that that's covering everybody.

15:50.860 --> 15:52.380
And notice how it says under the earth.

15:52.380 --> 15:54.780
And I was trying to think of like, what does this mean?

15:54.780 --> 15:59.700
Well, obviously there's people that are under the earth that are, where are they at if they're

15:59.700 --> 16:00.700
under the earth?

16:00.700 --> 16:02.540
They're in hell, aren't they?

16:02.540 --> 16:10.020
So nobody in hell is worthy, nobody in heaven is worthy, nobody on the earth is worthy to

16:10.020 --> 16:11.900
do these things.

16:11.900 --> 16:17.500
And so this must be a pretty special book, a pretty powerful book that you have to be

16:17.500 --> 16:20.380
worthy in order to open it.

16:20.380 --> 16:25.860
And it says in verse four, it says, and I wept much because no man was found worthy

16:25.860 --> 16:29.460
to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

16:29.460 --> 16:31.180
They can't even look at it.

16:31.180 --> 16:32.860
You know, they see the book.

16:32.860 --> 16:34.620
It's like looking at arc welding or something.

16:34.620 --> 16:38.100
You know, you're not supposed to look at it because you could go blind.

16:38.100 --> 16:41.860
But really intense light can make you do that.

16:41.860 --> 16:43.380
But I don't know what it is about this book.

16:43.380 --> 16:47.780
But apparently it's something you can't even look at if you're not worthy.

16:47.780 --> 16:50.020
That's pretty wild, right?

16:50.020 --> 16:54.100
Verse five says, and one of the elders saith unto me, weep not.

16:54.100 --> 17:00.340
Behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the

17:00.340 --> 17:05.460
book and to loose the seven seals thereof.

17:05.460 --> 17:07.900
And this book, what is this book?

17:07.900 --> 17:11.060
This book proclaims judgment.

17:11.060 --> 17:13.020
It proclaims the judgment of God.

17:13.020 --> 17:16.760
And there's only one person that's able to open this book.

17:16.760 --> 17:24.920
And of course, it's saying the lion of the tribe of Judah and the root of David, he hath

17:24.920 --> 17:29.320
prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals thereof.

17:29.320 --> 17:36.560
So once this book gets cracked open, it's kind of like when a woman goes into labor,

17:36.560 --> 17:42.440
she starts escalating into the, she's dilated at two or one.

17:42.440 --> 17:47.440
So basically once this book gets open, all the seals have to get opened.

17:47.440 --> 17:51.880
And then the time period of Daniel's 70th week begins.

17:51.880 --> 17:57.440
And people say, well, there's no proof that Daniel's 70th week is real.

17:57.440 --> 18:02.060
They'll say that it's, you know, how do you, why do you think we're in a holding pattern?

18:02.060 --> 18:04.320
Why is it seven seals?

18:04.320 --> 18:06.480
Why what does it, what does seven seals represent?

18:06.480 --> 18:09.180
Well, it's seven judgments of God.

18:09.180 --> 18:13.960
There's a final seven years on the earth because we know that the final seven years midway

18:13.960 --> 18:17.640
between that seven years, the Antichrist is revealed.

18:17.640 --> 18:21.440
And that's what is the signal for Christians to run for their lives.

18:21.440 --> 18:25.960
And also the Jews that are there because there's obviously Jews there right now.

18:26.240 --> 18:28.280
And where's all this taking place?

18:28.280 --> 18:33.400
All this stuff is going to take place as far as like the showdown with Christ and the beast.

18:33.400 --> 18:34.920
That happens in Jerusalem.

18:34.920 --> 18:40.060
That happens in, or, you know, in the, in the, actually it happens in the, in Megiddo.

18:40.060 --> 18:41.240
That's where it kind of begins.

18:41.240 --> 18:47.820
And of course the Lord Jesus Christ is going to destroy his forces easily with both hands

18:47.820 --> 18:51.100
tied behind his back, blindfolded he could do it.

18:51.100 --> 18:53.560
So God is all powerful.

18:53.560 --> 18:54.760
Satan is not all powerful.

18:54.760 --> 18:58.880
His people are not all powerful and the beast certainly isn't all powerful.

18:58.880 --> 19:01.040
He might be able to kill some prophets.

19:01.040 --> 19:02.280
You know, he was given that power.

19:02.280 --> 19:06.320
He, you know, later on we'll, we'll study that, but he was given that power to come

19:06.320 --> 19:12.160
in and overcome, well, to overcome the saints also to make great speeches against heaven

19:12.160 --> 19:16.720
and against Christ and against his, the people that believe in him.

19:16.720 --> 19:20.900
And the devil has all this power during this time, but in reality, he doesn't have as much

19:20.900 --> 19:23.440
power as God, not even close.

19:23.520 --> 19:28.880
So when, when God, when Jesus returns with 10,000 of his saints, it's not going to be,

19:28.880 --> 19:32.240
it's like, it's almost just like, all right, throw them in the trash.

19:32.240 --> 19:33.240
That's it.

19:33.240 --> 19:39.040
It's not even really the climax of it is the fact that Jesus just comes back with all the

19:39.040 --> 19:40.040
saints.

19:40.040 --> 19:43.280
That's a, that's a, a dramatic scene, isn't it?

19:43.280 --> 19:48.360
But what's not dramatic is it's not like, and the beast gave, you know, a great fight

19:48.360 --> 19:50.480
to him or something.

19:50.480 --> 19:53.240
You know, he knocked the savior down, but the savior got back up.

19:53.240 --> 19:55.520
It's not like a Rocky movie like that.

19:55.520 --> 20:01.000
It's like, no, Jesus Christ is the heavyweight and, and greatest champion ever.

20:01.000 --> 20:04.360
I mean, who do you think guided the hands of some of these great warriors that we've

20:04.360 --> 20:05.640
had in our past?

20:05.640 --> 20:07.800
You know, David's mighty men.

20:07.800 --> 20:10.100
Who do you think gave those mighty men that power?

20:10.100 --> 20:11.480
And God's way more powerful.

20:11.480 --> 20:14.840
God can just, he can just make you cease to exist.

20:14.840 --> 20:17.640
Just he doesn't even have to snap his fingers.

20:17.640 --> 20:21.840
He ain't Thanos, you know, where you have to snap your fingers and have some jeweled

20:22.160 --> 20:23.920
glove on your hand or something.

20:23.920 --> 20:27.880
God can just say things and they happen.

20:27.880 --> 20:34.120
Molecules move, things happen, matter happens, and they're not, it's not even going to be

20:34.120 --> 20:35.920
a fight at all.

20:35.920 --> 20:37.880
It's really like, oh, that's the guy that huffed and puffed.

20:37.880 --> 20:41.640
Cause people are going to be like, that's the, they're going to narrowly look upon him

20:41.640 --> 20:44.920
and say, this is the man that brought, you know, that made the nations to tremble and

20:44.920 --> 20:46.120
all this stuff.

20:46.120 --> 20:49.800
Because really he's nothing compared to God and neither are his forces.

20:49.800 --> 20:53.000
But to us, they could be a little bit overwhelming.

20:53.000 --> 21:01.120
So so, and you know, when John says I wept much, it's just, you know, to him, it's just

21:01.120 --> 21:04.480
sad to see just how sinful humanity is.

21:04.480 --> 21:09.400
I mean, it surprised me that he's surprised though, because he knows the doctrine, but

21:09.400 --> 21:14.240
it seems like John is, gets a little out of sorts sometimes while he's, you know, talking

21:14.240 --> 21:15.240
about this stuff.

21:15.240 --> 21:19.640
I mean, he bows down and worships an angel or I mean, not an angel, but a man of God.

21:19.640 --> 21:22.880
He bows down and tries to worship another man and then he has to stop him.

21:22.880 --> 21:29.280
So sometimes John, you know, it's like he's weeping much and I get why he's weeping, but

21:29.280 --> 21:31.620
the lamb of God is the one that prevailed anyway.

21:31.620 --> 21:33.800
The only reason why we're saved is because of him.

21:33.800 --> 21:39.200
There's nobody that's worthy to open this book except for the Lord Jesus Christ.

21:39.200 --> 21:45.100
And it says the line of the tribe of Judah, the root of David hath prevailed.

21:45.100 --> 21:53.100
So you know, you might understand that and know this saying really well, but Jesus Christ

21:53.100 --> 21:57.140
being mentioned as the lion of the tribe of Judah, this is where it actually happens,

21:57.140 --> 21:58.140
right?

21:58.140 --> 22:01.940
This is where it's actually said he's the lion of the tribe of Judah.

22:01.940 --> 22:03.220
So and where does that come from?

22:03.220 --> 22:05.220
Well, it comes from several different places.

22:05.220 --> 22:09.300
I was actually surprised at how many different places in the Bible it actually alludes to

22:09.300 --> 22:12.100
this and probably more.

22:13.100 --> 22:16.100
Let's go ahead and take a look at Genesis chapter 49 this evening.

22:16.100 --> 22:20.100
Turn over to Genesis, keep your finger here in Revelation and we'll go to Genesis chapter

22:20.100 --> 22:21.100
number 49.

22:21.100 --> 22:23.100
Brother Ramon, could you grab my water please?

22:23.100 --> 22:24.100
I'm sorry, I forgot.

22:24.100 --> 22:28.100
I left it sitting there.

22:28.100 --> 22:29.100
Thank you so much.

22:29.100 --> 22:30.100
No, that one.

22:30.100 --> 22:31.100
That's good.

22:31.100 --> 22:33.100
Thank you.

22:33.100 --> 22:35.100
So Genesis chapter 49.

22:35.100 --> 22:36.100
Thank you, brother.

22:36.100 --> 22:39.100
Appreciate that.

22:39.100 --> 22:45.100
Genesis chapter 49 and verse number 8.

22:45.100 --> 22:50.100
The Bible says, Judah, and this is where Jacob's blessing the children of Israel, we talked

22:50.100 --> 22:57.100
about Moses blessing the children of Israel, but this is where the prophecy of Judah takes

22:57.100 --> 22:58.100
place.

22:58.100 --> 23:03.100
Genesis 49, 8, Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise.

23:03.100 --> 23:10.100
Thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies, thy father's children shall bow down before

23:10.100 --> 23:11.100
thee.

23:11.100 --> 23:15.100
And so remember Joseph is the one that actually had the dream that they were going to bow

23:15.100 --> 23:18.100
down and worship Joseph, right?

23:18.100 --> 23:20.100
And they basically, they did do that.

23:20.100 --> 23:25.100
He's a picture of Christ, but Joseph, you know, that tribe was not picked to bring forth

23:25.100 --> 23:26.100
the Messiah.

23:26.100 --> 23:31.100
You know, he was the best of the brothers for sure, but you know, God looked down the

23:31.100 --> 23:36.100
line and it's like, hey, there's some pretty quality people in Judah.

23:36.100 --> 23:44.100
But that's who he chose to make the line of the Lord Jesus Christ, his heritage or whatever

23:44.100 --> 23:48.100
is from Judah, the tribe of Judah.

23:48.100 --> 23:51.100
And what tribe was David a part of?

23:51.100 --> 23:52.100
Judah, right?

23:52.100 --> 23:56.100
So, and David of course is a man after God's own heart.

23:56.100 --> 24:01.100
So, but it says, and thy father's children shall bow down before thee.

24:01.100 --> 24:05.100
So, we're not supposed to bow down before anybody that's a man, right?

24:05.100 --> 24:09.100
We're not supposed to bow, like obviously kings, people would have to bow before kings

24:09.100 --> 24:11.100
and things like that.

24:11.100 --> 24:16.100
But it says that, you know, we're not supposed to worship anything but God.

24:16.100 --> 24:19.100
So, and it looks like they're doing what?

24:19.100 --> 24:22.100
It says, thy brethren shall praise.

24:22.100 --> 24:26.100
So, and it prays and bow down before him.

24:26.100 --> 24:29.100
It says Judah is a lion's whelp.

24:29.100 --> 24:30.100
What is a lion's whelp?

24:30.100 --> 24:34.100
It's like a younger lion, right?

24:34.100 --> 24:38.100
And it says, from the prey, my son, thou art gone up.

24:38.100 --> 24:39.100
He stooped down.

24:39.100 --> 24:43.100
He couched as a lion and as an old lion.

24:43.100 --> 24:44.100
Who shall rouse him up?

24:44.100 --> 24:51.100
This is very cryptic language here, but first it calls him a lion's whelp so he's the child

24:51.100 --> 24:53.100
of another lion, right?

24:53.100 --> 24:55.100
He's the cub of another lion.

24:55.100 --> 24:57.100
So, he's a lion's whelp.

24:57.100 --> 24:59.100
And so, what is Jesus Christ to God the Father?

24:59.100 --> 25:00.100
He's the Son, right?

25:00.100 --> 25:05.100
And so, it says, from the prey, my son, thou art gone up.

25:05.100 --> 25:11.100
Obviously, this is him talking to his actual son, but this is also Bible prophecy.

25:11.100 --> 25:19.100
So, he's not just, he's speaking in a way to where it's supposed to be cryptic and this is about the Messiah.

25:19.100 --> 25:21.100
It says, from the prey, my son, thou art gone up.

25:21.100 --> 25:22.100
He stooped down.

25:22.100 --> 25:26.100
He crouched as a lion and as an old lion.

25:26.100 --> 25:28.100
Who shall rouse him up?

25:28.100 --> 25:33.100
So, he calls him a lion's whelp at first and then he calls him an old lion.

25:33.100 --> 25:34.100
So, why?

25:34.100 --> 25:35.100
Because it's both.

25:35.100 --> 25:44.100
You know, people saw Jesus Christ as a young man, you know, in his early 30s and so he would be young, right?

25:44.100 --> 25:48.100
But he's also the Son of God and the Son of Mary.

25:48.100 --> 25:55.100
But then you have him being called an old lion.

25:55.100 --> 25:59.100
It's because the Bible says that Jesus is from old, from everlasting.

25:59.100 --> 26:04.100
So, it's not like he ever had a beginning because Jesus Christ has always existed.

26:04.100 --> 26:10.100
God the Father has always existed and the Holy Spirit has always existed because these three are one.

26:10.100 --> 26:15.100
And Jesus isn't a created being like the Jehovah's Witnesses like to say.

26:15.100 --> 26:17.100
They say that, oh, Jesus was created.

26:17.100 --> 26:19.100
He was Michael the Archangel and all this other stuff.

26:19.100 --> 26:21.100
The Bible does not teach that anywhere.

26:21.100 --> 26:30.100
I don't know where they think that they get that or whatever, but they're just making things up because they don't want Jesus to be God.

26:30.100 --> 26:38.100
So, this is where it talks about a lion and this prophecy about him being praised by his brethren.

26:38.100 --> 26:44.100
And he shall be on the, his hands shall be on the neck of his enemies and his father's children shall bow down.

26:44.100 --> 26:48.100
He's like a lion's whelp and he says, my son, thou art gone up.

26:48.100 --> 26:53.100
He's stooped down, he couched as a lion and as an old lion, who shall rouse him up?

26:53.100 --> 27:00.100
The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come.

27:00.100 --> 27:04.100
And unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

27:04.100 --> 27:11.100
And I kind of went into about what Shiloh means, but Shiloh is a reference to the Messiah, obviously,

27:11.100 --> 27:16.100
and that was a place where the children of Israel had the tabernacle at first.

27:16.100 --> 27:24.100
So, and so when it says, till Shiloh come, it's talking about, tell when Jesus comes and what happened,

27:24.100 --> 27:29.100
because it says, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

27:29.100 --> 27:35.100
So who gathered, I mean, when Jesus Christ was on the earth, people gathered to him in mass, didn't they?

27:35.100 --> 27:44.100
And also, just in life in general, for the last two thousand years, people have gathered and tried to become a part of Christianity

27:44.100 --> 27:52.100
and they gathered towards the Christ. Who can save him? He's that old lion, he's also that young lion.

27:52.100 --> 27:55.100
But it says, to him shall the gathering of the people be.

27:55.100 --> 27:56.100
And unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

27:56.100 --> 28:04.100
Ultimately, all people will be gathered to him when he comes back and we'll be reunited with our bodies and have everlasting life.

28:04.100 --> 28:10.100
We have everlasting life now. It's as if we already have it. We have it right now.

28:10.100 --> 28:16.100
So, but as far as the promise of our bodies being redeemed, we have to wait on that.

28:16.100 --> 28:23.100
So we're kind of in a unique position. You know, we're New Testament believers and we're kind of in a position where we're saved,

28:23.100 --> 28:26.100
but we're waiting for the redemption of our bodies.

28:26.100 --> 28:38.100
And it says, unto him shall the gathering of the people be, binding his foal unto the vine and his asses colts unto the choice vine.

28:38.100 --> 28:42.100
He washes garments in wine and his clothes and blood in the blood of grapes.

28:42.100 --> 28:51.100
And I feel, so obviously we have when Jesus made his triumphal entry, he told his disciples to go and grab an ass.

28:51.100 --> 28:56.100
And that's what Jesus rode on when he rode in to Jerusalem.

28:56.100 --> 28:59.100
So it has that kind of foreshadowing to it too.

28:59.100 --> 29:05.100
But then it says, and his ass is colt unto the choice vine.

29:05.100 --> 29:13.100
So there's one vine where life is sustained from in this world, and that's the vine that Christ provides for us.

29:13.100 --> 29:18.100
He is that vine. And you know, it says he washed his garments in wine.

29:19.100 --> 29:21.100
That's an interesting statement.

29:21.100 --> 29:25.100
But in the book of Revelation, it says that when he comes back, his robes will be red.

29:25.100 --> 29:29.100
So he's going to be wearing red. And what does that signify?

29:29.100 --> 29:31.100
Well, it signifies judgment.

29:31.100 --> 29:40.100
And you know, when you get blood on your clothes and you're wearing all red, it doesn't show up as much as it would if you were wearing all white.

29:40.100 --> 29:42.100
So he's not wearing all white when he comes back.

29:42.100 --> 29:49.100
He's going to be, and I think that this part of the prophecy is obviously talking about him going into Jerusalem.

29:49.100 --> 30:01.100
But then also when it says washed his garments in wine and his clothes in the blood of grapes, this is obviously talking about just his clothes being dyed red.

30:01.100 --> 30:07.100
But it says, and his eyes shall be red with wine and his teeth white with milk.

30:07.100 --> 30:13.100
And the Bible mentions that his eyes are like a flame of fire in chapter one.

30:13.100 --> 30:18.100
So look at Numbers chapter 24.

30:18.100 --> 30:26.100
So what are we looking at? Just verses that indicate and talk about Jesus being the line of the tribe of Judah.

30:26.100 --> 30:30.100
Because if there was just one obscure passage, I think that people could try to dismiss that.

30:30.100 --> 30:37.100
But how can you dismiss multiple pictures in which Jesus Christ is portrayed as a lion?

30:37.100 --> 30:39.100
Well, look at Numbers 24.5.

30:39.100 --> 30:44.100
It says, how goodly, and this is Balaam making a prophecy he was supposed to be cursing the children.

30:44.100 --> 30:48.100
He was being paid as a false prophet to curse the children of Israel.

30:48.100 --> 30:51.100
But every time he opened up his mouth, he's blessing them.

30:51.100 --> 30:53.100
And he's pissing everybody off that paid him money.

30:53.100 --> 30:57.100
Like, I paid you to curse them, not to preach good things about them.

30:57.100 --> 31:02.100
But anyway, it says, and how goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel.

31:02.100 --> 31:10.100
As the valleys are, they spread forth, as gardens by the riverside, as the trees of linoleum,

31:10.100 --> 31:15.100
which the Lord hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

31:15.100 --> 31:21.100
He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters.

31:21.100 --> 31:23.100
And of course, that picture is the world, right?

31:23.100 --> 31:30.100
And his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.

31:30.100 --> 31:34.100
Of course, this is talking about the King of Kings, Lord Jesus Christ.

31:34.100 --> 31:36.100
But notice how it says Agag.

31:36.100 --> 31:44.100
So, and Agag, you know, from Numbers, it kind of seems like that would make it be like it's either a family name

31:44.100 --> 31:47.100
or the name of the kings of the Amalekites.

31:47.100 --> 31:55.100
You know how sometimes it'll say different names, and it's just their foreign word for king.

31:55.100 --> 32:04.100
It kind of makes me think that calling them Agag would be, it's either a family name that those kings descended from,

32:04.100 --> 32:10.100
and maybe that's true, because a lot of times, you know, succession of kings and princes and things like that

32:10.100 --> 32:15.100
and royal families are, you know, by, are you the firstborn of that family?

32:15.100 --> 32:18.100
So, but yeah, Agag.

32:18.100 --> 32:31.100
So, and Agag also, he's like an Esther, you know, that, Haman, the wicked one, is related to Agag.

32:31.100 --> 32:33.100
So, he's called the Agagite.

32:33.100 --> 32:36.100
So, these people are enemies of God.

32:36.100 --> 32:40.100
But apparently at this time, Agag was a big deal.

32:40.100 --> 32:41.100
But it says,

33:11.100 --> 33:15.100
So, I mean, there's no mistaking that it's talking about the line of the tribe of Judah right here.

33:15.100 --> 33:20.100
And it's kind of similar language to what Jacob said, who shall rouse him up.

33:20.100 --> 33:24.100
But here it says, he's, you know, who shall stir him up.

33:24.100 --> 33:26.100
And rouse and stir mean the same thing.

33:26.100 --> 33:31.100
So, he's basically building off of what Jacob has already said in his prophecy

33:31.100 --> 33:36.100
and talking about how he's going to be higher than all the different kings.

33:36.100 --> 33:39.100
And so, and that is he has the strength of a unicorn.

33:39.100 --> 33:44.100
And people are like, oh, a unicorn, yeah, like the mythical unicorn is real or something.

33:44.100 --> 33:46.100
People mock that kind of stuff.

33:46.100 --> 33:48.100
But what if it's just a rhinoceros?

33:48.100 --> 33:50.100
Aren't they strong?

33:50.100 --> 33:52.100
I mean, I wouldn't want to mess with one.

33:52.100 --> 33:59.100
So, I think that's probably what it's talking about, the one-horned unicorn, the rhinoceros.

33:59.100 --> 34:03.100
So, now let's turn to Hosea chapter 11.

34:03.100 --> 34:08.100
Hosea chapter 11, verse number 10, the Bible says,

34:08.100 --> 34:12.100
They shall walk after the Lord, he shall roar like a lion.

34:12.100 --> 34:17.100
When he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.

34:17.100 --> 34:20.100
And so, who's it talking about?

34:20.100 --> 34:23.100
They shall walk after the Lord, he shall roar like a lion.

34:23.100 --> 34:25.100
See that?

34:25.100 --> 34:30.100
And then it says, they shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt and as a dove out of the land of Assyria.

34:30.100 --> 34:33.100
And I will place them in their houses, saith the Lord.

34:33.100 --> 34:40.100
Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit.

34:40.100 --> 34:46.100
But Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with his saints.

34:46.100 --> 34:48.100
So, he's mentioning Judah here.

34:48.100 --> 34:53.100
Do you think that this is some kind of a coincidence or something that's talking about a lion, that it mentions Judah?

34:53.100 --> 34:54.100
I don't think it's a coincidence.

34:54.100 --> 34:56.100
I think it's talking about the same thing, right?

34:56.100 --> 34:58.100
Now, let's go to Joel chapter 3.

34:58.100 --> 35:00.100
Joel chapter 3, verse number 9.

35:03.100 --> 35:07.100
So, to say that Jesus wasn't prophesied in the Old Testament, that's crazy.

35:07.100 --> 35:11.100
And then the fact that the book of Revelation calls on the line of the tribe of Judah,

35:11.100 --> 35:17.100
then you can connect all those dots backwards and just see all the times that we were given clues in the Old Testament,

35:17.100 --> 35:19.100
the people were given clues in the Old Testament.

35:19.100 --> 35:23.100
And we in the New Testament have that advantage because the whole Bible is already written.

35:23.100 --> 35:31.100
And so, we have the, these people didn't have Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and all that kind of stuff, all the New Testament books.

35:31.100 --> 35:34.100
So, in the New Testament, it shines light on the Old Testament,

35:34.100 --> 35:39.100
just like the book of Revelation shines a light on Daniel and other Bible prophecies.

35:39.100 --> 35:41.100
So, look at Joel 3, 9. It says,

36:01.100 --> 36:10.100
So, what is he talking about?

36:10.100 --> 36:13.100
Well, let's continue on here. It says,

36:13.100 --> 36:30.100
Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, get you down, for the press is full, the fats overflow, for their wickedness is great.

36:30.100 --> 36:34.100
And, you know, basically the book of Revelation culminates in, you know,

36:34.100 --> 36:40.100
this is basically God just pouring his wrath out on an unbelieving and almost reprobate world.

36:40.100 --> 36:45.100
You know, if you want to do anything during that final seven years,

36:45.100 --> 36:49.100
it's going to be very difficult for Christians to operate during that time.

36:49.100 --> 36:53.100
And people say, well, the last time the church is mentioned is, you know,

36:53.100 --> 36:57.100
in the book of Revelation it's not mentioned after chapter 4 or whatever,

36:57.100 --> 37:01.100
but maybe organized church isn't going to be a thing.

37:01.100 --> 37:03.100
It's not like that hasn't happened in the past.

37:03.100 --> 37:07.100
I mean, during the reign of the Catholic church, you had to be underground.

37:07.100 --> 37:11.100
So, I mean, things are just going to be a lot different.

37:11.100 --> 37:16.100
And maybe it's not saying anything about the church because, you know, maybe you're not allowed to go to church.

37:16.100 --> 37:18.100
I mean, if they're chopping your head off for being unsaved,

37:18.100 --> 37:23.100
I doubt you're going to be able to just have a brick and mortar building where you're going to every week.

37:23.100 --> 37:27.100
So, and you're just dodging, you know, getting your head cut off or whatever.

37:27.100 --> 37:35.100
But it says, Multitudes and multitudes in the valley of decision for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

37:35.100 --> 37:39.100
The sun and the moon shall be darkened and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

37:39.100 --> 37:44.100
The Lord also shall roar out of Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem,

37:44.100 --> 37:46.100
and the heavens and the earth shall shake.

37:46.100 --> 37:51.100
But the Lord will be the hope of his people and the strength of the children of Israel.

37:51.100 --> 37:56.100
So, there you have the roar, what makes roars, lions.

37:56.100 --> 38:00.100
And if somebody has a smartphone, I forgot to put this in my notes,

38:00.100 --> 38:05.100
but look up where it says that the lion is the strongest of all beasts.

38:05.100 --> 38:09.100
I think that's, I can't remember exactly how it's worded, but if you can find that for me, let me know.

38:09.100 --> 38:17.100
But while you're looking for that, let's flip over to Amos chapter 3 verse 6.

38:17.100 --> 38:21.100
Amos chapter 3 verse 6.

38:21.100 --> 38:23.100
Let me know when you found it, whoever found it.

38:31.100 --> 38:34.100
Can't find it? Did I not give you the key words?

38:38.100 --> 38:40.100
Proverbs 30, 30.

38:40.100 --> 38:43.100
I'm going to flip over there real quick.

38:43.100 --> 38:45.100
Are you sure that's it?

38:46.100 --> 38:47.100
Okay.

38:52.100 --> 38:54.100
Proverbs 30, 30.

39:01.100 --> 39:08.100
Proverbs 30, verse number 30 says,

39:08.100 --> 39:14.100
A lion which is strongest among beasts and turneth not away for any.

39:14.100 --> 39:18.100
So, you know how people say, well, lion is the king of the jungle.

39:18.100 --> 39:23.100
Well, the reason why they say that, I mean, is probably because they got that from the Bible, I would say.

39:23.100 --> 39:27.100
And lions are strong, but it says the strongest among beasts.

39:27.100 --> 39:40.100
So, it makes sense that the lion of the tribe of Judah would be the beast that represents his strength because, you know, he's the, you know, because the lion is the strongest of all the beasts, right?

39:40.100 --> 39:46.100
So, Amos 3, 6 says, Shall a trumpet be blown in the city and the people not be afraid?

39:46.100 --> 39:50.100
Shall there be evil in a city and the Lord hath not done it?

39:50.100 --> 39:53.100
And by the way, evil just means harm, right?

39:53.100 --> 40:01.100
Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

40:01.100 --> 40:08.100
The lion hath roared. Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken. Who can but prophesy?

40:08.100 --> 40:16.100
So, it's categorically talking about this lion roaring and equating it with God who's spoken.

40:16.100 --> 40:22.100
And, you know, hey, if you heard a lion roaring and you were close to it, you'd be freaked out.

40:22.100 --> 40:26.100
I preached a sermon about the lions of the Savo that one time.

40:26.100 --> 40:37.100
And those lions were pretty scary at going and killing people in their tents and dragging them out, all these foreign workers that they brought over to build that railroad.

40:37.100 --> 40:42.100
And they had those two male lions that were stalking people and killing them at night.

40:42.100 --> 40:45.100
They were maneless lions, but they still could roar.

40:45.100 --> 40:53.100
And the difference between a cat that can roar, that's what makes them categorized as big cats.

40:53.100 --> 41:01.100
You know, you have that categorization in the scientific community or whatever that they're called big cats.

41:01.100 --> 41:08.100
But some cats can't roar. Some big cats can't roar. So I don't think that that really holds up to scrutiny.

41:08.100 --> 41:14.100
But, I mean, have you ever heard a tiger, you know, get all feisty and roar?

41:14.100 --> 41:19.100
Yeah, I mean, there's lots of different ones that can, but some can't do that.

41:19.100 --> 41:23.100
And so that's how they classify them, though, as a big cat or not.

41:23.100 --> 41:31.100
OK, so but when God thunders forth his word, the Bible says, who can but prophesy? Who can but preach?

41:31.100 --> 41:37.100
And so that kind of I mean, that's a lot of verses just talking about the the lion of the tribe of Judah.

41:37.100 --> 41:41.100
Now let's look at the root. So it calls them also the root of David, right?

41:41.100 --> 41:45.100
So let's I'm going to just read a go ahead and turn to Isaiah 31.

41:45.100 --> 41:47.100
I'm going to read Revelation five five again.

41:47.100 --> 41:57.100
Revelation five five says one of the elders said, saith unto me, We've not behold the lion of the tribe of Judah and the root of David hath prevailed to open the book and to lose the seven seals thereof.

41:57.100 --> 42:06.100
So when it gives us this imagery, it's that helps us to just go back and go, OK, well, what is what is the root of David?

42:06.100 --> 42:08.100
Where is this found in the Bible?

42:08.100 --> 42:13.100
And of course, there's multiple different places where you can find this.

42:13.100 --> 42:24.100
Isaiah 31, verse four, it says, For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, like as the lion and the young lion roaring his prey when the multitude of shepherds is called forth against him.

42:24.100 --> 42:29.100
He will not be afraid of their voice nor abase himself with the noise of them.

42:29.100 --> 42:32.100
So shall the host come down to fight for Mount Zion.

42:32.100 --> 42:36.100
I think I put that in the wrong spot. I did. So that's still concerning the lion.

42:36.100 --> 42:37.100
OK, let's talk about the branch.

42:37.100 --> 42:44.100
Isaiah 11, sorry, Isaiah 11, verse one, but there's another lion verse for you, though.

42:44.100 --> 42:55.100
But Isaiah 11, verse number one, the Bible says, And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse and a branch shall grow out of his roots.

42:55.100 --> 42:58.100
So here you have that reference.

42:58.100 --> 43:02.100
And it says, In the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him.

43:02.100 --> 43:09.100
This is actually a key passage about the Lord Jesus Christ because there's lots of things that we're dealing with tonight that are in this text.

43:09.100 --> 43:17.100
It says, The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

43:17.100 --> 43:21.100
That's seven spirits, right? But this is the spirit of the Lord.

43:21.100 --> 43:25.100
It says, And shall make him a quick understanding in the fear of the Lord.

43:25.100 --> 43:30.100
And he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.

43:30.100 --> 43:37.100
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth.

43:37.100 --> 43:40.100
And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth.

43:40.100 --> 43:43.100
And with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

43:43.100 --> 43:49.100
So how does he kill people? I already mentioned this, but how does he kill this army when he comes back?

43:49.100 --> 43:52.100
Well, his mouth is like it says it has a two edged sword coming out of it.

43:52.100 --> 43:56.100
So basically, I mean, what do swords do? They kill people, right?

43:57.100 --> 44:00.100
I mean, if you use them correctly, they're designed to kill people.

44:00.100 --> 44:05.100
So if he has a sword coming out of his mouth, what is it saying? That the words out of his mouth can kill you.

44:05.100 --> 44:08.100
The words out of his mouth can kill you or make people alive.

44:08.100 --> 44:12.100
But, you know, at this time he's going to be killing a lot of people.

44:12.100 --> 44:16.100
It says, I only believe in nice Jesus.

44:16.100 --> 44:23.100
Well, you know, the Bible talks about, you know, the not so nice Jesus also.

44:23.100 --> 44:28.100
But look what it says. So it says, he shall, he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth.

44:28.100 --> 44:31.100
And with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

44:31.100 --> 44:34.100
And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins.

44:34.100 --> 44:36.100
And faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

44:36.100 --> 44:39.100
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb.

44:39.100 --> 44:41.100
And the leopard shall lie down with the kid.

44:41.100 --> 44:47.100
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together and a little child shall lead them.

44:47.100 --> 44:51.100
The changes that Jesus makes after he comes back and slays the wicked,

44:51.100 --> 44:54.100
we're going to enter into this thousand year reign of Christ.

44:54.100 --> 44:57.100
And it sounds like he changes some things.

44:57.100 --> 45:02.100
You know, wolves generally are not something that would lie down and dwell with a lamb, are they?

45:02.100 --> 45:04.100
That's dinner normally.

45:04.100 --> 45:08.100
And the leopard lie down with the kid. That's a goat, right?

45:08.100 --> 45:11.100
Leopards don't normally just hang out with goats. They eat them.

45:11.100 --> 45:14.100
And the calf and the young lion.

45:14.100 --> 45:18.100
So, I mean, how many times have you seen lions in these, you know,

45:18.100 --> 45:21.100
Who remembers Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom?

45:21.100 --> 45:23.100
All right, the old people.

45:23.100 --> 45:25.100
The older people.

45:25.100 --> 45:28.100
But I used to watch that as a kid. I loved that show.

45:28.100 --> 45:30.100
But they don't really show stuff like that anymore.

45:30.100 --> 45:34.100
They used to show some pretty, you know, gangster stuff that, you know, these animals would do.

45:34.100 --> 45:38.100
But they don't like to show animals being hurt on television necessarily anymore.

45:38.100 --> 45:42.100
You know, with Animal Planet and all the worshipers of animals out there.

45:42.100 --> 45:47.100
You know, they'll show things, but they won't really show the things like they did back then.

45:47.100 --> 45:52.100
I mean, who remembers? I mean, they would show some pretty gnarly stuff on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

45:52.100 --> 45:55.100
But I felt like that came on Sunday nights. Am I wrong about that?

45:55.100 --> 45:58.100
Didn't it come on Sunday night? Yeah.

45:58.100 --> 46:01.100
So it's been a long time since I even thought about that.

46:01.100 --> 46:03.100
It just kind of popped into my mind when I was talking about this.

46:03.100 --> 46:07.100
But it says in the cat, so the cow and the bear shall feed.

46:07.100 --> 46:14.100
And your young one shall lie down together and the lion shall eat straw like an ox.

46:14.100 --> 46:18.100
I think I skipped the part up top where it says in the calf and the young lion and the fatling together and the little child.

46:18.100 --> 46:22.100
No, okay, I got it. So anyway, the lion shall eat straw like an ox.

46:22.100 --> 46:28.100
So what's that saying? That animals were vegetarians before, so they're probably going to be like that again.

46:28.100 --> 46:33.100
I mean, do lions eat grass? No, they don't.

46:33.100 --> 46:35.100
But it sounds like they're going to in the future.

46:35.100 --> 46:39.100
So that's just how much change happens when the Lord Jesus Christ comes.

46:39.100 --> 46:44.100
He's going to show people how a real king rules, how real government's supposed to work.

46:44.100 --> 46:50.100
And he's going to be ruling with a rod of iron, the Bible says.

46:50.100 --> 46:54.100
And guess what? We'll have rule with him.

46:54.100 --> 46:57.100
So I don't know how that's going to work.

46:57.100 --> 46:59.100
He's going to give certain cities to certain people or something.

46:59.100 --> 47:04.100
I don't know exactly how it all works, but I know that we're going to rule and reign with him as kings and priests.

47:04.100 --> 47:09.100
So it says, and the suckling child shall play on the whole of the asp.

47:09.100 --> 47:11.100
This is poisonous snakes, right?

47:11.100 --> 47:16.100
And the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice den.

47:16.100 --> 47:19.100
Again, another type of poisonous snake.

47:19.100 --> 47:25.100
And normally if a little child went near a snake, they'd bite him and kill them.

47:25.100 --> 47:28.100
It says, they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain,

47:28.100 --> 47:33.100
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

47:33.100 --> 47:41.100
So imagine an earth where everybody is saved, where everybody is living in peace and tranquility for the most part.

47:41.100 --> 47:47.100
And I'm not saying that everybody in the millennial reign is going to be saved as they go into the millennial reign.

47:47.100 --> 47:55.100
The Bible's real clear that the devil has one more last, he comes back for one last scare, like a scary movie or something.

47:55.100 --> 47:57.100
But God lets him loose.

47:57.100 --> 48:00.100
And then he collects the trash from all around the world.

48:00.100 --> 48:03.100
And then he comes and brings all the garbage with him.

48:03.100 --> 48:06.100
And then God's just going to destroy him with fire.

48:06.100 --> 48:07.100
Okay?

48:07.100 --> 48:08.100
And that's it.

48:08.100 --> 48:12.100
That's the end of our enemies being around us ever again.

48:12.100 --> 48:20.100
It says, and in that day shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people.

48:20.100 --> 48:25.100
To it shall the Gentiles seek, and his rest shall be glorious.

48:26.100 --> 48:30.100
So it's speaking of different times.

48:30.100 --> 48:36.100
Like if we didn't have the New Testament to kind of guide us into this, this would be like gobbledygook to us a lot of it.

48:36.100 --> 48:43.100
But since we have the New Testament, since we know about the Lord Jesus Christ, then we can figure all this stuff out.

48:43.100 --> 48:46.100
So when it's talking about the root of Jesse, it's talking about the Lord Jesus Christ.

48:46.100 --> 48:51.100
He is, you know, obviously Jesus challenged and said if he's his son, how is he his Lord?

48:51.100 --> 48:56.100
But he's his son just by being, you know, born from his family line.

48:56.100 --> 48:57.100
Okay?

48:57.100 --> 49:00.100
So, and which again, that doesn't even matter anymore.

49:00.100 --> 49:08.100
But the fact that it did matter when Jesus was on this earth, though, it says, let's turn to Jeremiah chapter 23.

49:08.100 --> 49:10.100
Jeremiah chapter 23.

49:10.100 --> 49:12.100
So first, I brought up the line of the tribe of Judah.

49:12.100 --> 49:17.100
I went through many verses that obviously allude to the same things.

49:17.100 --> 49:23.100
And again, the things in the Old Testament were kind of coded for us, coded for the people that lived back then.

49:23.100 --> 49:27.100
They didn't really understand fully what all that stuff meant.

49:27.100 --> 49:31.100
Because in Daniel's prophecy, those seals were shut up.

49:31.100 --> 49:33.100
All those things were sealed until the day of the end.

49:33.100 --> 49:38.100
But then Jesus Christ in Revelation, he's like, you know, I want everybody to know what's going on.

49:38.100 --> 49:40.100
So it's a little bit different.

49:40.100 --> 49:45.100
Obviously, we don't know everything about how every single instance is going to play out.

49:45.100 --> 49:53.100
But I mean, our countries went and killed, you know, the leader of Iran was a lot yesterday.

49:53.100 --> 49:56.100
I mean, wars and rumors of wars.

49:56.100 --> 50:00.100
I mean, it's just I don't know, man.

50:00.100 --> 50:02.100
I'm not really for war.

50:02.100 --> 50:05.100
But obviously, I don't like innocent people being killed either.

50:05.100 --> 50:07.100
But who knows how that all started?

50:07.100 --> 50:15.100
I mean, the CIA likes to go in and do a bunch of stuff to have revolutions happen in countries so they can take them over.

50:15.100 --> 50:18.100
So it's not like that's not out of the realm of possibility.

50:18.100 --> 50:23.100
And of course, Israel's really happy that we came and took them out because they can never fight their own battles.

50:23.100 --> 50:28.100
They always have to have somebody else to do their dirty work for them, just like when they killed Jesus.

50:28.100 --> 50:29.100
They're responsible for them being killed.

50:29.100 --> 50:32.100
But who do they actually carry out the sentence?

50:32.100 --> 50:33.100
The Romans.

50:33.100 --> 50:35.100
So and that's just how they are.

50:35.100 --> 50:36.100
They're users.

50:36.100 --> 50:45.100
And and and so they're using the United States for billions of dollars in war and all these weapons and things like that.

50:45.100 --> 50:48.100
But they're also using us to actually fight the battles.

50:48.100 --> 50:54.100
It's like, why are we giving them all this money for for military stuff and then they can't go and fight their own battles on their own?

50:54.100 --> 51:00.100
They need the United States to do it for them because everybody else would freak out if they didn't have us to back them up.

51:00.100 --> 51:04.100
It's like that meme, you know, where that wrestlers like smiling or whatever.

51:04.100 --> 51:08.100
And then behind him is the Undertaker, the wrestling Undertaker.

51:08.100 --> 51:13.100
It's like, you know, Israel, like, come on, you know, like he's the they're the cocky ones.

51:13.100 --> 51:18.100
But they only do that because they actually have someone backing them up from behind in reality.

51:18.100 --> 51:21.100
I mean, the meme doesn't really make sense in that way.

51:21.100 --> 51:27.100
But I mean, it just reminded me of that picture, you know, or, you know, if you had like tough friends growing up or whatever,

51:27.100 --> 51:33.100
there's people that will they can't fight, but they'll pick on someone else because they know that their big friends are going to beat them up.

51:33.100 --> 51:37.100
And I definitely know about that from times past.

51:37.100 --> 51:42.100
So but anyway, let's look at Jeremiah.

51:42.100 --> 51:45.100
So we already looked at Jeremiah 23, verse five.

51:45.100 --> 51:58.100
The Bible says, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous branch and a king shall reign and prosper and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

51:58.100 --> 52:03.100
In his days, Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely.

52:03.100 --> 52:09.100
And this is his name, whereby he shall be called the Lord, our righteousness.

52:09.100 --> 52:13.100
And isn't it funny how the Jews, they just can never figure out that Jesus is the Christ.

52:13.100 --> 52:16.100
But it's like it's talking about this guy being a king.

52:16.100 --> 52:18.100
It's talking about Jesus, obviously.

52:18.100 --> 52:20.100
He's the line of the tribe of Judah.

52:20.100 --> 52:21.100
He's the branch of David.

52:21.100 --> 52:23.100
I mean, the Jews knew this.

52:23.100 --> 52:29.100
But then they must have skipped the part where it says he's going to be called the Lord, our righteousness.

52:29.100 --> 52:32.100
So what does that mean?

52:32.100 --> 52:36.100
Well, he's God and he's our righteousness.

52:36.100 --> 52:37.100
How is he our righteousness?

52:37.100 --> 52:43.100
Well, because he spilled his blood and died for us on the cross and so that our sins can be forgiven.

52:43.100 --> 52:46.100
So that name makes sense, doesn't it?

52:46.100 --> 52:48.100
He should be called the Lord, our righteousness.

52:48.100 --> 52:51.100
It's not, hey, the Lord and I got my own righteousness.

52:51.100 --> 52:54.100
But this should just show you that works are not going to get you there.

52:54.100 --> 52:58.100
Unless you have the righteousness of the Lord upon you, you're going to die and go to hell.

52:58.100 --> 53:02.100
Just like the lady that sent that invitation, you know, back to me.

53:02.100 --> 53:06.100
And she loves trees more than she loves God.

53:06.100 --> 53:08.100
Probably loves animals more than she loves God.

53:08.100 --> 53:11.100
It's kind of a downward spiral in society.

53:11.100 --> 53:16.100
Look at Jeremiah 33 verse 14.

53:16.100 --> 53:24.100
So again, there's several places we can go to where it speaks of this king that it's talking about.

53:24.100 --> 53:27.100
This Lord, our righteousness is going to be a king.

53:27.100 --> 53:31.100
And he's the lion from the tribe of Judah.

53:31.100 --> 53:35.100
He's obviously from David, who's from Judah.

53:35.100 --> 53:40.100
The prophecies going back to Jacob, those are very old prophecies.

53:40.100 --> 53:42.100
Look at Jeremiah 33 verse 14 says,

53:42.100 --> 53:46.100
Behold the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing,

53:46.100 --> 53:50.100
which I have promised unto the house of Israel, and to the house of Judah.

53:50.100 --> 53:52.100
What does that mean?

53:52.100 --> 53:56.100
I thought that they were just saved because they believe the law.

53:56.100 --> 53:58.100
They believe in Moses.

53:58.100 --> 54:00.100
I mean, that's what they say today, right?

54:00.100 --> 54:04.100
But what God promised unto the house of Israel, this is the Jews.

54:04.100 --> 54:07.100
This is the house of Israel.

54:07.100 --> 54:10.100
His descendants is what it's talking about right here.

54:10.100 --> 54:14.100
Obviously, the spiritual application is spiritual save people later on.

54:14.100 --> 54:16.100
But anyway, it says, in those days at that time,

54:16.100 --> 54:22.100
will I cause the branch of righteousness to grow up unto David,

54:22.100 --> 54:26.100
and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

54:26.100 --> 54:30.100
In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely.

54:30.100 --> 54:35.100
And this is the name wherewith she shall be called the Lord our righteousness.

54:35.100 --> 54:37.100
So Jerusalem will dwell safely.

54:37.100 --> 54:39.100
Where is Jesus going to reign from?

54:39.100 --> 54:41.100
He's going to reign from Jerusalem.

54:41.100 --> 54:43.100
That's where his throne is going to be.

54:43.100 --> 54:45.100
It says, For thus saith the Lord,

54:45.100 --> 54:49.100
David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel.

54:49.100 --> 54:55.100
Neither shall his priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings,

54:55.100 --> 55:00.100
and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

55:00.100 --> 55:03.100
So that's very interesting, isn't it?

55:03.100 --> 55:06.100
Because it's saying that this person, you know, he's a king,

55:06.100 --> 55:09.100
and then again, the Lord our righteousness,

55:09.100 --> 55:12.100
which is alluding back to chapter 23.

55:12.100 --> 55:18.100
But then it says that David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel,

55:18.100 --> 55:21.100
because Jesus Christ is a king forever.

55:21.100 --> 55:25.100
And he's also a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

55:25.100 --> 55:29.100
So that covers verse 17 and verse 18,

55:29.100 --> 55:33.100
because that offering lasts forever.

55:33.100 --> 55:41.100
So when it says that neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings,

55:41.100 --> 55:47.100
he takes the place of the Levites, and he is that sacrifice for us.

55:47.100 --> 55:52.100
So this is the God man, Jesus Christ, that is talking about in this passage.

55:52.100 --> 55:57.100
And these mysteries for us in this verse,

55:57.100 --> 56:01.100
with just two brief things in verse number five back in Revelation,

56:01.100 --> 56:06.100
it says the line of the tribe of Judah, and the lion, and also the root.

56:06.100 --> 56:10.100
So I mean, I know I painstakingly went through all that stuff.

56:10.100 --> 56:13.100
Let's look at one more about the branch though.

56:13.100 --> 56:16.100
Because I mean, look, all these writers getting together,

56:16.100 --> 56:19.100
and having the same mind, and having similar things being said,

56:19.100 --> 56:21.100
this was not done strategically.

56:21.100 --> 56:24.100
This is over hundreds and thousands and thousands of years.

56:24.100 --> 56:26.100
So how could they know all this?

56:26.100 --> 56:28.100
Well, it's the Spirit of God.

56:28.100 --> 56:30.100
Zechariah 6, 12 says,

56:30.100 --> 56:45.100
And he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord.

56:45.100 --> 56:50.100
And obviously it's talking, it's Zerubbabel being foreshadowed as Christ,

56:50.100 --> 56:55.100
but the real branch is the Lord Jesus Christ, obviously, from the other passages,

56:55.100 --> 56:56.100
and from the book of Revelation.

56:56.100 --> 56:59.100
It tells us who that root is.

56:59.100 --> 57:03.100
Even he shall build the temple of the Lord, and he shall bear the glory,

57:03.100 --> 57:08.100
and shall sit and rule upon his throne, and he shall be priest upon his throne.

57:08.100 --> 57:09.100
That's interesting.

57:09.100 --> 57:11.100
So he's the king and the priest.

57:11.100 --> 57:15.100
See how it says, all the doctrine that we believe is in the New Testament,

57:15.100 --> 57:20.100
it's just you have to dig to find it, you have to have the New Testament shed the light on it,

57:20.100 --> 57:25.100
but it says that he shall rule upon his throne, and he shall be a priest upon his throne.

57:25.100 --> 57:28.100
So he's a king and a priest, isn't that what Jesus Christ is?

57:28.100 --> 57:32.100
And the council of peace shall be between them both.

57:32.100 --> 57:35.100
So back in our text, let's go back to Revelation chapter 5.

57:35.100 --> 57:43.100
It says, And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not, behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah,

57:43.100 --> 57:51.100
and the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

57:51.100 --> 57:57.100
And so praise God, you know, the lion, he's also the king, the lion of the tribe of Judah,

57:57.100 --> 58:01.100
he's the king of kings and lord of lords, and he's also that branch,

58:01.100 --> 58:04.100
and the root in which our faith and religion is fed from.

58:04.100 --> 58:10.100
He's the source, you know, and that's why he said, you know, how is David his lord,

58:10.100 --> 58:13.100
if he says, My lord said unto my lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

58:13.100 --> 58:17.100
till thine enemies are made his footstool, or become his footstool.

58:17.100 --> 58:21.100
So let's look at verse 6.

58:21.100 --> 58:26.100
It says, And I beheld and lo in the midst of the throne,

58:26.100 --> 58:29.100
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders,

58:29.100 --> 58:36.100
stood a lamb, as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes,

58:36.100 --> 58:41.100
which are the seven spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

58:41.100 --> 58:45.100
So this is the picture. I mean, do you think that Jesus is a literal lamb up there?

58:45.100 --> 58:49.100
No, he's not a literal lamb, but he's pictured as a lamb

58:49.100 --> 58:56.100
because lambs are innocent, lambs are white as snow, lambs are, you know,

58:56.100 --> 59:01.100
the lamb was sacrificed for us, and that's why he's pictured as a lamb.

59:01.100 --> 59:06.100
This is why he's worthy. This is telling us why he's worthy to do it and nobody else is.

59:06.100 --> 59:08.100
That's what I'm getting out of it.

59:08.100 --> 59:11.100
So that in the midst of the throne of the four beasts,

59:11.100 --> 59:14.100
in the midst of the elders, stood a lamb, as it had been slain,

59:14.100 --> 59:17.100
having seven horns and seven eyes.

59:17.100 --> 59:22.100
So again, this represents what? Do you think Jesus literally has seven eyes?

59:22.100 --> 59:25.100
Do you think he literally has seven horns? No.

59:25.100 --> 59:31.100
He's talking about a symbolic animal that doesn't exist,

59:31.100 --> 59:34.100
but as far as having seven eyes and seven horns,

59:34.100 --> 59:37.100
which are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

59:37.100 --> 59:42.100
So this is telling us, you know, in Isaiah 11, it talks about those seven spirits.

59:42.100 --> 59:44.100
That's what it's talking about.

59:44.100 --> 59:48.100
Now let's look at John chapter 1, John chapter 1,

59:48.100 --> 59:53.100
because when John the Baptist was preaching about the Lord Jesus Christ coming,

59:53.100 --> 59:56.100
he's, you know, he's prophesying to people saying,

59:56.100 --> 01:00:01.100
hey, I'm not the Messiah, there's somebody else that is, and he's coming after me.

01:00:01.100 --> 01:00:03.100
And John 1.29 says,

01:00:03.100 --> 01:00:06.100
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him,

01:00:06.100 --> 01:00:11.100
and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

01:00:11.100 --> 01:00:14.100
It's not an accidental statement. That's an actual fact.

01:00:14.100 --> 01:00:16.100
But what is he calling him? The Lamb of God.

01:00:16.100 --> 01:00:18.100
What do we see in Revelation chapter 5?

01:00:18.100 --> 01:00:20.100
That there stood a lamb as it had been slain.

01:00:20.100 --> 01:00:22.100
So this is showing us the picture.

01:00:22.100 --> 01:00:25.100
And he taketh away the sin of the world.

01:00:25.100 --> 01:00:31.100
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me,

01:00:31.100 --> 01:00:33.100
for he was before me.

01:00:33.100 --> 01:00:38.100
But see, that only makes sense in a spiritual way,

01:00:38.100 --> 01:00:42.100
because who's the older child actually?

01:00:42.100 --> 01:00:44.100
John is the older child.

01:00:44.100 --> 01:00:46.100
John was born before Jesus.

01:00:46.100 --> 01:00:53.100
Mary was pregnant, but her family, you know, Elizabeth, was already with child,

01:00:53.100 --> 01:00:59.100
and the babe leaped in her womb when Mary came into the presence of the same, at the same time.

01:00:59.100 --> 01:01:05.100
So he's saying, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me, for he was before me.

01:01:05.100 --> 01:01:10.100
Yeah, he truly was, because he's that old lion, but he's also that young lion.

01:01:10.100 --> 01:01:15.100
It says, And I knew him not, but that he should be manifest to Israel,

01:01:15.100 --> 01:01:18.100
therefore my come baptizing with water.

01:01:18.100 --> 01:01:23.100
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove,

01:01:23.100 --> 01:01:26.100
and it abode upon him, and I knew him not.

01:01:26.100 --> 01:01:31.100
But he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me,

01:01:31.100 --> 01:01:39.100
upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him the same as he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

01:01:39.100 --> 01:01:43.100
And I saw and bare record that this is the Son of God.

01:01:43.100 --> 01:01:50.100
So this is, of course, John the apostle speaking about these things that John the Baptist saw

01:01:50.100 --> 01:01:53.100
and recording the things that John the Baptist said.

01:01:53.100 --> 01:01:58.100
But what's interesting is that it says, upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit.

01:01:58.100 --> 01:02:05.100
So there's these people that like to attack us when we say that God has a body.

01:02:05.100 --> 01:02:08.100
You know, he does have a body or whatever.

01:02:08.100 --> 01:02:15.100
He doesn't have a real body, it's just an essence or something, and they get all this Catholic mumbo jumbo out.

01:02:15.100 --> 01:02:22.100
But in reality, did John see the Spirit?

01:02:22.100 --> 01:02:29.100
And then in Luke when it says descending in a bodily shape like a dove, the Holy Spirit.

01:02:29.100 --> 01:02:37.100
So if the Holy Spirit had a bodily shape when he saw, I mean, obviously the Spirit is invisible to our eyes unless he wants to appear to us.

01:02:37.100 --> 01:02:44.100
But it's just saying that he descended like a dove, you know, doves, they fly a certain way, and that's kind of how, what he saw.

01:02:44.100 --> 01:02:52.100
But he said the person that you see, the Spirit descending and remaining on him, that same as he was baptized with the Holy Ghost.

01:02:52.100 --> 01:02:57.100
So John actually saw the Holy Ghost. Isn't that what it says?

01:02:57.100 --> 01:03:01.100
He saw the Holy Ghost come down and abide upon him.

01:03:01.100 --> 01:03:04.100
And I saw and bear record that this is the Son of God.

01:03:04.100 --> 01:03:07.100
So now back to our text here in Revelation.

01:03:07.100 --> 01:03:12.100
But the main reason I want to show you that is because John calls him the Lamb of God,

01:03:12.100 --> 01:03:14.100
the Lamb of God, which take it away the sin of the world.

01:03:14.100 --> 01:03:22.100
And then, you know, obviously the Book of Revelation is just going to, you know, we're really getting all that stuff because of Revelation.

01:03:22.100 --> 01:03:27.100
We know the things that we know about the Bible because, you know, when it talks about prophecy and things like that,

01:03:27.100 --> 01:03:37.100
because the Book of Revelation unlocks those things for us, because there's no other passage in the Bible that says that he's the Lion of the Tribe of Judah besides Revelation.

01:03:37.100 --> 01:03:41.100
Right. So and then obviously it identifies him as the branch.

01:03:41.100 --> 01:03:47.100
Verse seven says, And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

01:03:47.100 --> 01:03:51.100
Who's that? That's God the Father.

01:03:51.100 --> 01:03:57.100
God the Father is on the throne. And it says he took the book out of his right hand.

01:03:57.100 --> 01:04:05.100
Now, when it talks about the Bible talks about right hand, and obviously Jesus Christ is called the right hand of God a lot of times in the scriptures.

01:04:05.100 --> 01:04:11.100
I think I went through a study with that at one point where I just showed all the verses where it says the right hand, the right hand.

01:04:11.100 --> 01:04:19.100
And you're like, well, why not the left hand? Because it's symbolically, you know, and most people are dominantly right handed, aren't they?

01:04:19.100 --> 01:04:26.100
Most people are not left handed. Who's left handed in here? Anybody? Oh, what do you know? Yeah. Who's right handed?

01:04:26.100 --> 01:04:34.100
You got to be one of the other, right? So but like that's why the scripture kind of I think because that's the power arm for most people.

01:04:34.100 --> 01:04:39.100
So God the Father sitting on the throne. Oh, wait, but he's not really on the throne. That's just the essence or whatever.

01:04:39.100 --> 01:04:44.100
No, he's sitting on the throne and in order to sit, don't you have to have a body? Yeah.

01:04:44.100 --> 01:04:51.100
So I'm not saying his body is like ours. I'm not saying that, you know, and the Bible says no man can see the Father and live.

01:04:51.100 --> 01:04:54.100
You can't see his face and live. OK.

01:04:54.100 --> 01:05:00.100
Moses just saw his hindered parts and glowed for 40 or, you know, he his face shown.

01:05:00.100 --> 01:05:06.100
And people couldn't even look at him. And, you know, he would have God told it because Moses said, I want to see what you look like.

01:05:06.100 --> 01:05:10.100
And then he's like, I'll let you see the higher parts. But if you look at my face, you're going to die.

01:05:10.100 --> 01:05:14.100
Anybody that looks at God's face is going to die. But you have him on the throne here.

01:05:14.100 --> 01:05:25.100
And Jesus takes the book out of God the Father's right hand, which is his dominant, you know, the dominant hand or whatever, showing that that's what the power of God and and him is set upon the throne.

01:05:25.100 --> 01:05:34.100
Obviously, that's the father. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the four and 20 elders fell down before the lamb.

01:05:34.100 --> 01:05:42.100
The lamb, of course, is Jesus picturing the sacrifice and the sinlessness as the reason why he prevailed.

01:05:42.100 --> 01:05:50.100
Of course, I just went through that. But having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of the saints.

01:05:51.100 --> 01:05:57.100
So they fall down before Jesus and worship him here.

01:05:57.100 --> 01:06:02.100
So it's interesting how John is told to not worship that man.

01:06:02.100 --> 01:06:06.100
And later on in Revelation, Chapter 22, I think is where it's at.

01:06:06.100 --> 01:06:11.100
But he says, don't worship me. I'm a fellow servant like you, one of the prophets.

01:06:11.100 --> 01:06:17.100
But then when they all bow down and worship Jesus, that's OK. Why is that OK? Because he's God.

01:06:17.100 --> 01:06:25.100
That's why it's OK. I mean, all these people that say Jesus isn't God, how can you say that when the Bible calls him the king of kings and Lord of lords?

01:06:25.100 --> 01:06:31.100
And it says that he's the almighty. He's the almighty. I mean, what does that mean?

01:06:31.100 --> 01:06:38.100
He's God, right? So. And so interesting part in this very last of this verse, though, it says,

01:06:38.100 --> 01:06:48.100
It says having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of the saints.

01:06:48.100 --> 01:06:56.100
So apparently the prayers of the saints get caught up into these vials and they call it odors.

01:06:56.100 --> 01:07:00.100
They smell like something, right? Which are the prayers of the saints.

01:07:00.100 --> 01:07:09.100
So when you know, if you're saved today, you are a saint. You don't have to be Mother Teresa or, you know, have done some kind of miracle on the earth or whatever.

01:07:09.100 --> 01:07:18.100
Like the Catholic Church says, you know, St. Christopher and St. All these different saints, those are just gods that they worship that were in the Pantheon in reality.

01:07:18.100 --> 01:07:29.100
But it says that these are the prayers of the saints. And so just know this, that your prayers are kept for God to basically to for God to look at later or smell the odors.

01:07:29.100 --> 01:07:37.100
It says how many? Oh, wait, let's go and turn to Psalm chapter 56 verse eight.

01:07:37.100 --> 01:07:41.100
So if your prayers are kept.

01:07:41.100 --> 01:07:50.100
In a vial is how full is your vial? How full is that vial? Is it half full? Do they have to get a bigger beaker or?

01:07:50.100 --> 01:07:59.100
Or, you know, do you have any prayers that are in there? I mean, I think it's an interesting topic.

01:07:59.100 --> 01:08:08.100
But Psalm chapter 56 verse eight, the Bible says thou tell us my wanderings, put down my tears into thy bottle.

01:08:08.100 --> 01:08:14.100
Are they not in thy book? So this is David and this is kind of cryptic.

01:08:14.100 --> 01:08:22.100
But, you know, those tears are not just like tears that someone's weeping because they saw a sad movie or something.

01:08:22.100 --> 01:08:32.100
These are tears of persecution. These are tears of people that are, you know, that have cried out to God and wept before him.

01:08:32.100 --> 01:08:38.100
And it says back in our text, it says, actually, no, go to Revelation eight, Revelation eight.

01:08:38.100 --> 01:08:45.100
Because later on, these these vials in a few chapters are going to be used for a purpose.

01:08:45.100 --> 01:08:51.100
It says in Revelation eight, three, it says, Another angel came and stood at the altar having a golden censer.

01:08:51.100 --> 01:09:02.100
And there was given unto him much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar, which was before the throne.

01:09:02.100 --> 01:09:06.100
So is there an altar in heaven? Yes, there is.

01:09:06.100 --> 01:09:12.100
What goes on it? Hamburger? Steak? No, our prayers.

01:09:12.100 --> 01:09:19.100
And so when the picture of offering incense is what? The picture of prayer being rising up to God.

01:09:19.100 --> 01:09:27.100
Right. And it says, And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angels hand.

01:09:27.100 --> 01:09:33.100
And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire of the altar and cast it into the earth.

01:09:33.100 --> 01:09:39.100
And there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake.

01:09:39.100 --> 01:09:49.100
And so essentially these prayers where people are weeping, these prayers that are prayers about people that are persecuted and harmed,

01:09:49.100 --> 01:09:56.100
God's going to take those and the angel puts that censer, he puts fire on it, and then it's cast to the earth.

01:09:56.100 --> 01:10:00.100
And because God is the one I talked about this this morning, but God is the one that takes vengeance for us.

01:10:00.100 --> 01:10:03.100
So the things that he's doing to the earth aren't just for his sake.

01:10:03.100 --> 01:10:09.100
They're also for the saint's sake, because his you know, the Bible says that we're killed all the day long.

01:10:09.100 --> 01:10:12.100
Obviously, we haven't had anybody that got killed like that.

01:10:12.100 --> 01:10:15.100
But throughout the throughout time, this has been a thing.

01:10:15.100 --> 01:10:19.100
And, you know, we live, you know, we don't know what's going to happen in our lives.

01:10:19.100 --> 01:10:22.100
I mean, what's going to happen five years from now in your life?

01:10:22.100 --> 01:10:23.100
We don't really know.

01:10:23.100 --> 01:10:26.100
So we could be that generation that suffers this persecution.

01:10:26.100 --> 01:10:28.100
And we've had it easy for so long.

01:10:28.100 --> 01:10:31.100
You know, it wouldn't really surprise me if it did happen.

01:10:31.100 --> 01:10:42.100
But Psalm 141 verse one says, Lord, I cry unto thee, make haste unto me, give ear unto my voice.

01:10:42.100 --> 01:10:51.100
When I cry unto thee, let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

01:10:52.100 --> 01:10:58.100
So, you know, God looks at prayers as a valuable thing, and he loves to hear the prayers of the saints.

01:10:58.100 --> 01:11:00.100
And he wants us to pray to him.

01:11:00.100 --> 01:11:01.100
He's our God.

01:11:01.100 --> 01:11:05.100
He's our Father, our Heavenly Father, and he wants to hear from us.

01:11:05.100 --> 01:11:07.100
It says that when he looked on him.

01:11:07.100 --> 01:11:08.100
Oh, I'm sorry.

01:11:08.100 --> 01:11:10.100
Turn to actually turn to Luke chapter 10.

01:11:10.100 --> 01:11:12.100
I'm going to read Acts 10 for Acts 10.

01:11:12.100 --> 01:11:17.100
Four says that when he looked on him, he was afraid and said, What is it, Lord?

01:11:17.100 --> 01:11:22.100
And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

01:11:22.100 --> 01:11:24.100
Why does God keep our prayers?

01:11:24.100 --> 01:11:26.100
Because he wants to remember them.

01:11:26.100 --> 01:11:29.100
You know, and I don't know how he catches our prayers like that.

01:11:29.100 --> 01:11:30.100
I mean, but he is God.

01:11:30.100 --> 01:11:36.100
So I don't know how those prayers get into a little vial, but I do believe that those vials exist.

01:11:36.100 --> 01:11:40.100
They're not just some fake story or something that those these things actually exist.

01:11:40.100 --> 01:11:42.100
And God wants to hear from us.

01:11:42.100 --> 01:11:46.100
And he has good memories of us praying to him and crying out to him.

01:11:46.100 --> 01:11:51.100
And a lot of times I think that we don't really take prayer seriously as we should.

01:11:51.100 --> 01:11:55.100
And obviously, I'm just like anybody else.

01:11:55.100 --> 01:12:04.100
I think that everybody has struggles when it comes to prayer and you know, just because it's hard work to pray.

01:12:04.100 --> 01:12:05.100
You're like, No, it's easy.

01:12:05.100 --> 01:12:06.100
It's not.

01:12:06.100 --> 01:12:13.100
I mean, because if you're if you're praying, I think I think the best kind of prayer is the prayer that you do on your knees.

01:12:13.100 --> 01:12:16.100
And it shows that you're humble to God.

01:12:16.100 --> 01:12:19.100
I'm not saying that you have to pray on your knees or God's not going to hear your prayers.

01:12:19.100 --> 01:12:27.100
But, you know, when we're going through a really hard time and the way we pray is a lot more intense.

01:12:27.100 --> 01:12:32.100
You know, if you're about to get killed, your prayers become really intense really fast, don't they?

01:12:32.100 --> 01:12:39.100
If you think that somebody is in danger, you think if someone is going to die because of something, you are different about it than you would normally be.

01:12:39.100 --> 01:12:47.100
I think sometimes I'm just saying I think that sometimes we're a little flippant with our prayers and we need to realize that God keeps track of them.

01:12:47.100 --> 01:12:54.100
And he also can tell the ones that are kind of, you know, just going through the motions and the ones that are actually heartfelt from our hearts.

01:12:54.100 --> 01:12:55.100
Right.

01:12:55.100 --> 01:13:01.100
It says in Luke chapter one verse 10, it says the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

01:13:01.100 --> 01:13:05.100
So it's interesting that it's at the time of incense.

01:13:05.100 --> 01:13:06.100
Right.

01:13:06.100 --> 01:13:12.100
And there appeared unto him an angel the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

01:13:12.100 --> 01:13:16.100
And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled and fear fell upon him.

01:13:16.100 --> 01:13:20.100
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias, for thy prayer is heard.

01:13:20.100 --> 01:13:25.100
And thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son and thou shalt call his name John.

01:13:25.100 --> 01:13:29.100
And thou shalt have joy and gladness and many shall rejoice at his birth.

01:13:30.100 --> 01:13:37.100
And the reason why I want to show this to you is because, you know, you kind of have a little bit of the same picture in heaven, the angel with the incense.

01:13:37.100 --> 01:13:38.100
But when is this happening?

01:13:38.100 --> 01:13:45.100
You know, at the time of incense, when they're supposed to offer the incense in the temple and Zacharias, of course, was a priest.

01:13:45.100 --> 01:13:51.100
And so he was doing his they had those those cycles that they had to do certain months of the year.

01:13:51.100 --> 01:13:55.100
And so they kind of switched off the Levi's kind of switched off and things like that.

01:13:55.100 --> 01:13:57.100
I went through that in my first Chronicle series.

01:13:57.100 --> 01:14:04.100
But David organized the priest to have their certain time periods where they would be serving and then they got to go and go home and do their thing.

01:14:04.100 --> 01:14:11.100
But it says that that God has heard their prayer.

01:14:11.100 --> 01:14:15.100
What was their prayer that his wife would not be barren?

01:14:15.100 --> 01:14:17.100
Elizabeth wanted to have a son.

01:14:17.100 --> 01:14:21.100
That's that seems to be like a constant theme throughout the Bible.

01:14:21.100 --> 01:14:22.100
They're barren.

01:14:22.100 --> 01:14:25.100
And like, hey, if you're barren, you want to have children.

01:14:25.100 --> 01:14:26.100
It's a big deal to you.

01:14:26.100 --> 01:14:30.100
If you don't have children, it's you know, some people, that's a big deal.

01:14:30.100 --> 01:14:33.100
And obviously, they've been praying for that for a while.

01:14:33.100 --> 01:14:38.100
But it says, let's see.

01:14:41.100 --> 01:14:42.100
My prayers.

01:14:42.100 --> 01:14:45.100
So fear not, Zacharias, for thy prayer is heard.

01:14:45.100 --> 01:14:48.100
It's not like he was praying right then and there about the situation.

01:14:48.100 --> 01:14:53.100
So obviously, God is remembering and telling him the things that he prayed about earlier.

01:14:53.100 --> 01:14:59.100
And in Acts chapter 10, the prayer of what I read is that, you know, Cornelius,

01:14:59.100 --> 01:15:05.100
what I was talking about was that his alms were come before a memorial for God.

01:15:05.100 --> 01:15:07.100
Cornelius wasn't saved.

01:15:07.100 --> 01:15:12.100
But God knew that he was seeking truth and that he wanted to serve God.

01:15:12.100 --> 01:15:14.100
He just didn't know how to get saved.

01:15:14.100 --> 01:15:18.100
And that's why he sent Peter to Joppa to have them get saved.

01:15:18.100 --> 01:15:24.100
So Revelation 5, 9 says, and they sung a new song, saying thou art worthy to take the book

01:15:24.100 --> 01:15:26.100
and to open the seals thereof.

01:15:26.100 --> 01:15:29.100
So they all began singing this new song, right?

01:15:29.100 --> 01:15:35.100
For thou was slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred.

01:15:35.100 --> 01:15:36.100
What does that mean?

01:15:36.100 --> 01:15:40.100
Every family and tongue and people and nation.

01:15:40.100 --> 01:15:44.100
So it says he's redeemed us out of all these different places.

01:15:44.100 --> 01:15:45.100
So what does that tell you?

01:15:45.100 --> 01:15:50.100
That people in every nation and every family, there's somebody that's saved.

01:15:50.100 --> 01:15:55.100
So it might not be very many people, but it says every nation, doesn't it?

01:15:55.100 --> 01:15:59.100
Every people, every tongue, every language is what that means.

01:15:59.100 --> 01:16:02.100
Every kindred, every family.

01:16:02.100 --> 01:16:08.100
So, and again, this proves that saved people are of all nations of the earth.

01:16:08.100 --> 01:16:12.100
That's why the house of God is a house of prayer to all nations.

01:16:12.100 --> 01:16:17.100
And so that's how it's supposed to be.

01:16:17.100 --> 01:16:25.100
Verse 10, and has made us unto our God kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.

01:16:25.100 --> 01:16:29.100
And again, this is exciting, because right now we're not really reigning over anything.

01:16:29.100 --> 01:16:34.100
We kind of get told what to do, what taxes to pay, all this and that.

01:16:34.100 --> 01:16:38.100
And it's like, do you realize you're talking to a king right now?

01:16:38.100 --> 01:16:43.100
I'm not saying we should have that attitude, but it's true.

01:16:43.100 --> 01:16:50.100
Someday we will reign with Christ as kings and priests, serving him.

01:16:50.100 --> 01:16:54.100
And reigning over, like, well, what are we going to reign over?

01:16:54.100 --> 01:16:55.100
Everybody's saved.

01:16:55.100 --> 01:16:57.100
No, not everybody's saved during the morning they will reign.

01:16:57.100 --> 01:16:59.100
People will enter in that are not saved.

01:16:59.100 --> 01:17:02.100
There will be a lot of people that aren't saved during that time.

01:17:02.100 --> 01:17:07.100
So it says, and I beheld, and I will be held, and I will be saved.

01:17:07.100 --> 01:17:12.100
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne,

01:17:12.100 --> 01:17:19.100
and the beasts and the elders, and the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000 and thousands of thousands.

01:17:19.100 --> 01:17:25.100
So this could be interpreted to mean there's just a lot of people.

01:17:25.100 --> 01:17:27.100
You can't really count them.

01:17:27.100 --> 01:17:31.100
But I mean, 10,000 times 10,000 is 100 million, isn't it?

01:17:31.100 --> 01:17:35.100
So and then it says, and thousands of thousands.

01:17:35.100 --> 01:17:38.100
So a thousand thousands, a million.

01:17:38.100 --> 01:17:40.100
So what, 101 million?

01:17:40.100 --> 01:17:41.100
I don't know.

01:17:41.100 --> 01:17:44.100
I think it's just kind of generally given us a big number.

01:17:44.100 --> 01:17:47.100
I don't know if it's exactly that many people or whatever.

01:17:47.100 --> 01:17:53.100
But yeah, so it's not just the angels.

01:17:53.100 --> 01:17:55.100
It's not just the beasts.

01:17:55.100 --> 01:17:56.100
It's not just the elders.

01:17:56.100 --> 01:18:00.100
It's the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000.

01:18:00.100 --> 01:18:02.100
But wasn't there only four beasts?

01:18:02.100 --> 01:18:04.100
Wasn't there only 24 elders?

01:18:04.100 --> 01:18:12.100
And it doesn't really say how many angels, but the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000 and thousands of thousands.

01:18:12.100 --> 01:18:15.100
So there are a lot of people that are saved.

01:18:15.100 --> 01:18:22.100
But in comparison to how many the population of the earth is, that's not a big percentage, is it?

01:18:22.100 --> 01:18:26.100
Comparatively speaking to all the people that have ever been born from the time of Cain and Abel.

01:18:26.100 --> 01:18:29.100
And we don't know how many people were on the earth when God flooded the earth.

01:18:29.100 --> 01:18:35.100
But they had like 1,500, 1,600 years or whatever to populate the earth.

01:18:35.100 --> 01:18:37.100
And they didn't have the health problems that we have.

01:18:37.100 --> 01:18:39.100
They didn't have the bad food that we have.

01:18:39.100 --> 01:18:44.100
They didn't have the technology, at least that we know of, that we have now.

01:18:44.100 --> 01:18:48.100
So anyway, let's move to verse 11.

01:18:48.100 --> 01:18:53.100
It says, I beheld and heard the voice of many angels round about the throne of the beasts and the elders.

01:18:53.100 --> 01:18:57.100
And the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000 and thousands of thousands.

01:18:57.100 --> 01:18:59.100
So lots of people.

01:18:59.100 --> 01:19:11.100
And verse 12, saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb, which was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.

01:19:11.100 --> 01:19:13.100
That's a lot of different things.

01:19:13.100 --> 01:19:14.100
So let's see this.

01:19:14.100 --> 01:19:16.100
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.

01:19:16.100 --> 01:19:18.100
Seven things.

01:19:18.100 --> 01:19:19.100
That he's worthy.

01:19:19.100 --> 01:19:21.100
The Lamb is worthy.

01:19:21.100 --> 01:19:22.100
And not anybody else.

01:19:22.100 --> 01:19:23.100
And why is he worthy?

01:19:23.100 --> 01:19:25.100
What's it give the reason for?

01:19:25.100 --> 01:19:27.100
Why is he worthy?

01:19:27.100 --> 01:19:30.100
Because he's the one that prevailed.

01:19:30.100 --> 01:19:34.100
He's the one that was worthy because he was slain.

01:19:34.100 --> 01:19:37.100
He was killed for our sins and he didn't deserve it.

01:19:37.100 --> 01:19:43.100
He died and went to hell and suffered in hell for three days and three nights.

01:19:43.100 --> 01:19:45.100
And so he is worthy.

01:19:45.100 --> 01:19:51.100
And when he went to hell, he suffered like as it were as the worst person that ever walked the face of the planet.

01:19:51.100 --> 01:19:53.100
And he didn't deserve that.

01:19:53.100 --> 01:19:56.100
I mean, that must have been pretty horrific.

01:19:56.100 --> 01:20:03.100
And to the point where he's crying out to God, just like we would cry out if we were in trouble, he's crying out to God for him to do something.

01:20:03.100 --> 01:20:09.100
And so God let him be there for three days and three nights and during the worst punishment of anybody.

01:20:09.100 --> 01:20:15.100
Because if you have all that sin upon you, you're probably going to get the worst punishment because there's lower levels of hell.

01:20:15.100 --> 01:20:19.100
And, you know, there's different degrees of things.

01:20:19.100 --> 01:20:32.100
So if Jesus took on all those sins, every serial killer, every rapist, every homo, you know, all these sins upon him, then, you know, he's going to get the worst damage when he goes down there.

01:20:32.100 --> 01:20:35.100
And so but it's as if he suffered for all eternity.

01:20:35.100 --> 01:20:39.100
But since he didn't deserve to go there, God raised him from the dead.

01:20:39.100 --> 01:20:42.100
And so the mission was complete.

01:20:42.100 --> 01:20:43.100
That's what makes him worthy.

01:20:43.100 --> 01:20:45.100
Nobody else could do the things that he did.

01:20:46.100 --> 01:21:04.100
It says in every creature which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea and all that are in them heard I saying blessing and honor and glory and power be to end that sit upon the throne and unto the lamb forever and ever.

01:21:04.100 --> 01:21:06.100
So here John's fist pumping.

01:21:06.100 --> 01:21:07.100
He's saying the same things, right?

01:21:07.100 --> 01:21:14.100
He's like, yeah, this is like this is like a rally party, you know, because he's about to open up the seals of this book.

01:21:14.100 --> 01:21:19.100
And of course, we have to wait till next Sunday night to get into the seven seals.

01:21:19.100 --> 01:21:25.100
But once those seals are broken open, then stuff starts to happen.

01:21:25.100 --> 01:21:27.100
Bad things start to happen to people.

01:21:27.100 --> 01:21:29.100
And it just kind of culminates.

01:21:29.100 --> 01:21:36.100
And so just like a preview of next week, you know, Jesus is Jesus is great day of wrath has come.

01:21:37.100 --> 01:21:41.100
You know, people want to say that the book of Revelation is in order.

01:21:41.100 --> 01:21:51.100
Well, if that's true, then the tribulation is over according to the verses of Matthew chapter 24 coinciding with these and with first Thessalonians.

01:21:51.100 --> 01:21:52.100
But we'll have to get to that next week.

01:21:52.100 --> 01:21:53.100
Let's pray.

01:21:53.100 --> 01:21:57.100
Lord, we thank you so much for a great day in church for the four people that got saved out.

01:21:57.100 --> 01:22:06.100
I pray that you just be with them, Lord, you'd help them and that they might be able to attend our church and get baptized or whatever.

01:22:06.100 --> 01:22:10.100
And Lord, for the guy that brother Alex got saved, I pray that he would come to church and get baptized.

01:22:10.100 --> 01:22:17.100
And we thank you, Lord, for the blessings of soul winning for the blessings of this church and pray that you just help everybody feel better.

01:22:17.100 --> 01:22:19.100
That's sick, including myself.

01:22:19.100 --> 01:22:31.100
And Lord, I pray that you would just help us to get into your house and help us to just have a fire in our heart to be here, to be in church.

01:22:31.100 --> 01:22:33.100
And it's in Jesus name we pray.

01:22:33.100 --> 01:22:34.100
Amen.
