00:00.000 --> 00:02.000
Good morning.

00:02.000 --> 00:06.100
Go ahead and open your Bibles to Proverbs 28.

00:06.100 --> 00:10.860
Proverbs 28, there should be a Bible in a seat in front of you if you need one.

00:10.860 --> 00:16.740
Proverbs 28, the Bible reads, The wicked flee when no man pursueth, but the righteous are

00:16.740 --> 00:18.700
bold as a lion.

00:18.700 --> 00:24.360
For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof, but by a man of understanding

00:24.360 --> 00:27.900
and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

00:27.940 --> 00:33.980
A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveeth no food.

00:33.980 --> 00:40.020
They that forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them.

00:40.020 --> 00:45.340
Evil men understand not judgment, but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

00:45.340 --> 00:51.700
Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness than he that is perverse in his ways, though

00:51.700 --> 00:53.300
he be rich.

00:53.300 --> 01:00.220
Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son, but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth

01:00.220 --> 01:01.620
his father.

01:01.620 --> 01:08.860
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseeth his substance, he shall gather it for that

01:08.860 --> 01:10.700
will pity the poor.

01:10.700 --> 01:16.620
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

01:16.620 --> 01:22.660
Whoso causeth the uprightness to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into

01:22.700 --> 01:27.940
his own pit, but the upright shall have good things in possession.

01:27.940 --> 01:33.420
The rich man is wise in his own conceit, but the poor that have understanding searcheth

01:33.420 --> 01:34.740
him out.

01:34.740 --> 01:41.380
When a righteous man do rejoice there is great glory, but when the wicked rise a man is hidden.

01:41.380 --> 01:47.780
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall

01:47.780 --> 01:49.500
have mercy.

01:49.500 --> 01:55.980
Happy is the man that fearth all way, but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into

01:55.980 --> 01:57.340
mischief.

01:57.340 --> 02:04.620
As a roaring lion and a raging bear, so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

02:04.620 --> 02:11.780
The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor, but he that hateth covetousness

02:11.780 --> 02:13.620
shall prolong his days.

02:13.620 --> 02:18.860
A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit.

02:18.900 --> 02:20.940
Let no man stay him.

02:20.940 --> 02:26.700
Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved, but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall

02:26.700 --> 02:27.900
at once.

02:27.900 --> 02:33.580
He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread, but he that followeth after vain

02:33.580 --> 02:36.500
persons shall have poverty enough.

02:36.500 --> 02:42.340
A faithful man shall bound with blessings, but he that maketh haste to be rich shall

02:42.340 --> 02:44.140
not be innocent.

02:44.140 --> 02:52.820
To have respect of persons is not good for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

02:52.820 --> 02:58.800
He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come

02:58.800 --> 03:00.100
upon him.

03:00.100 --> 03:05.740
He that rebukeeth a man afterwards shall find more favor than he that flattereth with the

03:05.740 --> 03:06.740
tongue.

03:06.740 --> 03:11.720
Whoso robeth his father or his mother and sayeth, It is no transgression.

03:11.720 --> 03:15.040
The same is the commandment of a destroyer.

03:15.040 --> 03:20.760
He that is of a proud heart stirth up strife, but he that putteth his trust in the Lord

03:20.760 --> 03:22.480
shall be made fat.

03:22.480 --> 03:29.800
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool, but whoso walketh wisely he shall be delivered.

03:29.800 --> 03:35.000
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack, but he that hideeth his eyes shall have many

03:35.000 --> 03:36.260
a curse.

03:36.260 --> 03:41.360
When a wicked rise men hide themselves, but when they perish the righteous increase.

03:41.400 --> 03:43.400
Brother Bill, if you could please pray for us.

03:43.400 --> 03:45.400
Heavenly Father, thank you for the reading of the Word.

03:45.400 --> 03:49.400
We pray that you understand it and apply it through our lives.

03:49.400 --> 03:51.400
We pray that you fill the path of the gospel to the Holy Ghost.

03:51.400 --> 03:55.400
We preach an edifying sermon to us and bless us here today.

03:55.400 --> 03:57.400
We pray Amen.

03:57.400 --> 03:59.400
Amen.

03:59.440 --> 04:05.440
That's the Book of Proverbs.

04:05.440 --> 04:11.440
But this morning I'm preaching a sermon titled Covering Sin.

04:11.440 --> 04:13.440
Covering Sin.

04:13.440 --> 04:17.440
Now, there's two main concepts of the Bible about covering sin.

04:17.440 --> 04:23.440
And you would think that it's always a negative connotation, but it also is a positive, there's

04:23.440 --> 04:25.440
a positive covering of sin.

04:25.440 --> 04:27.440
It's when our sins actually get covered.

04:27.480 --> 04:33.480
And so, you know, the first type of sin that's covered is sin that leads to failure.

04:33.480 --> 04:35.480
Sin that leads to failure.

04:35.480 --> 04:41.480
And then the second type is God's grace that covers sin.

04:41.480 --> 04:45.480
So I'm going to talk about both these concepts this morning.

04:45.480 --> 04:47.480
And so point number one, I'll just get right into it.

04:47.480 --> 04:51.480
Concealing sin that leads to failure is my first point.

04:51.480 --> 04:54.480
I only have two points this morning, and this is number one.

04:54.520 --> 04:56.520
Let's look down in our Bibles at verse number 13.

04:56.520 --> 05:04.520
The Bible says, He that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh.

05:04.520 --> 05:08.520
Oh, OK, I guess we're having technical difficulties.

05:08.520 --> 05:14.520
Oh, that helps if I plug the microphone in.

05:14.520 --> 05:16.520
Good night.

05:19.520 --> 05:21.520
Are you guys having trouble hearing?

05:21.560 --> 05:23.560
Are you guys having trouble hearing?

05:23.560 --> 05:25.560
Sorry about that.

05:25.560 --> 05:29.560
All right, let me get this fixed here.

05:33.560 --> 05:35.560
It helps if you grab the actual mic.

05:35.560 --> 05:39.560
All right, so can you put me on the mic again?

05:39.560 --> 05:40.560
Am I on the mic?

05:40.560 --> 05:41.560
Can you hear me?

05:41.560 --> 05:42.560
Check, check, check.

05:42.560 --> 05:43.560
OK, all right.

05:43.560 --> 05:48.560
So Proverbs 28 verse 13, the Bible says, He that covereth his sins shall not prosper,

05:48.600 --> 05:52.600
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

05:52.600 --> 05:56.600
So here you have both concepts here in this Proverb.

05:56.600 --> 06:00.600
So if you think that you're going to sin and just cover those things up,

06:00.600 --> 06:02.600
bad things are going to happen.

06:02.600 --> 06:04.600
Bad things are coming your way.

06:04.600 --> 06:06.600
God is not going to just put up with it forever.

06:06.600 --> 06:08.600
He will judge your sin.

06:08.600 --> 06:14.600
But then the second part of that is that whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

06:14.640 --> 06:16.640
So we have a God that's merciful towards us.

06:16.640 --> 06:22.640
And even when we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous.

06:22.640 --> 06:26.640
And He is our High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

06:26.640 --> 06:30.640
And He ever liveth to make intercession for us.

06:30.640 --> 06:38.640
But if we're just sinning and just trying to just hang on to that sin and refusing to get right,

06:38.640 --> 06:41.640
knowing that you're wrong but your heart is just hardened,

06:41.680 --> 06:44.680
God will then cloud up and rain on you.

06:44.680 --> 06:51.680
So it's just like if you're not a very forgiving person in this world as a Christian,

06:51.680 --> 06:53.680
the Bible says that we are supposed to forgive those.

06:53.680 --> 06:59.680
We ask God to forgive us our sins as we forgive those that trespass against us.

06:59.680 --> 07:02.680
Trespassing, meaning sinning against us.

07:02.680 --> 07:07.680
When people do something to you and then you, instead of forgiving them,

07:07.720 --> 07:10.720
you just continue to bear a grudge and get bitter,

07:10.720 --> 07:12.720
then you're not right with God.

07:12.720 --> 07:13.720
It's just plain and simple.

07:13.720 --> 07:17.720
And so when we have that kind of an attitude, it's just like, oh, I don't care.

07:17.720 --> 07:23.720
You just come up with whatever excuse you want to just continue to hate that person.

07:23.720 --> 07:25.720
That's a wicked attitude.

07:25.720 --> 07:28.720
And the Bible says that if you don't forgive others or trespasses,

07:28.720 --> 07:30.720
then God won't forgive you yours.

07:30.720 --> 07:33.720
And so that doesn't mean that overall you won't be saved.

07:33.760 --> 07:35.760
It just means the things that you do on this earth,

07:35.760 --> 07:40.760
say someone steals from you and then you're stealing from other people

07:40.760 --> 07:43.760
and you don't have mercy on that person when they ask you to forgive them,

07:43.760 --> 07:46.760
you're not going to get mercy when you're doing the same stuff.

07:46.760 --> 07:50.760
So that's basically how God looks at it.

07:50.760 --> 07:56.760
And so the best baseline for Christians is to try to be as forgiving as possible

07:56.760 --> 07:59.760
because look, God forgave us a huge debt.

07:59.760 --> 08:01.760
A debt that we could never repay.

08:01.800 --> 08:04.800
And it's a debt that is paid by the blood of Christ.

08:04.800 --> 08:05.800
I get that.

08:05.800 --> 08:08.800
But when we have this attitude that we're better than other people,

08:08.800 --> 08:12.800
we get up on a high horse and act like I would never do that,

08:12.800 --> 08:15.800
hey, take heed lest you fall, the Bible says.

08:15.800 --> 08:20.800
So we always have to have this kind of attitude as being forgiving towards others.

08:20.800 --> 08:25.800
Now I'm not saying if someone is some serial killer and kills your family,

08:25.800 --> 08:27.800
I don't think that it's wise to get up in court and say,

08:27.800 --> 08:28.800
I forgive you.

08:28.800 --> 08:29.800
I forgive you.

08:29.840 --> 08:31.840
I don't think that it's wise to get up in court and say,

08:31.840 --> 08:33.840
I forgive you, Jeffrey Dahmer, or whatever.

08:33.840 --> 08:34.840
That's ridiculous.

08:34.840 --> 08:37.840
You know, nobody's going to forgive that.

08:37.840 --> 08:43.840
And I think that sometimes Christians are used as tools of the devil

08:43.840 --> 08:45.840
to do these types of things to make you think that,

08:45.840 --> 08:48.840
oh yeah, these serial killers could be saved too.

08:48.840 --> 08:49.840
No, they can't.

08:49.840 --> 08:51.840
They've crossed the line a long time ago.

08:51.840 --> 08:52.840
They're perverts.

08:52.840 --> 08:53.840
They're serial killers.

08:53.840 --> 08:55.840
There's something wrong with them.

08:55.840 --> 08:56.840
They're psychopaths.

08:56.880 --> 09:01.880
Even mankind and their science has proven that psychopaths cannot be fixed.

09:01.880 --> 09:02.880
There's something wrong with them.

09:02.880 --> 09:03.880
They're broken.

09:03.880 --> 09:11.880
And so this morning, I know that this has been a topic that's been much discussed

09:11.880 --> 09:17.880
and much talked about, but there's the situation down at Verity Baptist Church.

09:17.880 --> 09:21.880
And so I do kind of want to address this matter somewhat.

09:21.880 --> 09:24.880
I'm not going to fully address the matter because there are still things

09:24.920 --> 09:28.920
that are forthcoming, and I want to let those people tell their story.

09:28.920 --> 09:29.920
OK?

09:29.920 --> 09:34.920
So what's been done to Pastor Stuckey is sin, and it's wicked,

09:34.920 --> 09:38.920
and he should have never been withheld those funds that he was supposed to get.

09:38.920 --> 09:41.920
I don't care what formula you come up with in your mind,

09:41.920 --> 09:44.920
100% of those should have gone to him and to his church.

09:44.920 --> 09:48.920
This whole weird funneling 50% after four years,

09:48.920 --> 09:50.920
I mean, that's just complete garbage.

09:50.920 --> 09:53.920
And to say you didn't know anything about it, I don't believe you.

09:53.960 --> 09:55.960
Because if that's the first thing that comes up,

09:55.960 --> 09:58.960
oh, hey, here's one of the first things that comes up.

09:58.960 --> 10:01.960
And then you send him an email saying, you know, we're going to,

10:01.960 --> 10:03.960
you know, this will fix this.

10:03.960 --> 10:08.960
We're going to generously allow you to have 100% of the donations

10:08.960 --> 10:09.960
that have been coming to you.

10:09.960 --> 10:11.960
It's just like, what in the world?

10:11.960 --> 10:13.960
So if you're a visitor here today, I'm sorry.

10:13.960 --> 10:17.960
I am going to preach about some stuff that's kind of like church drama a little bit,

10:17.960 --> 10:21.960
but there's a lot of drama in the Bible if you have ever read it.

10:22.000 --> 10:28.000
So anyway, so what was done to Brother Stuckey was not just unethical,

10:28.000 --> 10:31.000
OK, and that's what's being said down there.

10:31.000 --> 10:32.000
It was just unethical.

10:32.000 --> 10:33.000
No, it's sin.

10:33.000 --> 10:34.000
It's wicked.

10:34.000 --> 10:36.000
And it should have been dealt with.

10:36.000 --> 10:40.000
It should be thundered forth from the pulpit no matter who is sitting out in the audience.

10:40.000 --> 10:44.000
And if you don't want to preach what's right because his whole family

10:44.000 --> 10:47.000
is still sitting there in the audience, then maybe you should tell them to stay home

10:47.000 --> 10:51.000
for a service while you rip and preach the paint off the walls about this subject.

10:51.040 --> 10:59.040
So the matter of the missing missions money is an important matter to discuss.

10:59.040 --> 11:04.040
So as far as the moral sin committed by Pastor Jimenez,

11:04.040 --> 11:06.040
that would have to be another sermon.

11:06.040 --> 11:09.040
I'm not really going to discuss that, but I will say this.

11:09.040 --> 11:12.040
I know what they're saying it is, but what they're saying it is,

11:12.040 --> 11:17.040
and they're not even really saying it out loud, but if someone comes up and says,

11:17.080 --> 11:20.080
well, is it this, then the person will be like, thou sayest or something like that.

11:20.080 --> 11:23.080
After they say it, I'm not going to reveal what it is,

11:23.080 --> 11:26.080
and then anybody that comes up, they're just saying,

11:26.080 --> 11:29.080
you know, they're just acknowledging what it is.

11:29.080 --> 11:32.080
That's not taking the secret to your grave, by the way.

11:32.080 --> 11:40.080
So, but anyway, so, but that portion will probably get out as well,

11:40.080 --> 11:43.080
but you know, the puzzle has been coming together.

11:43.080 --> 11:45.080
Thursday night I kind of talked to our church off camera

11:45.120 --> 11:49.120
and just said, I'm conducting an investigation on my own.

11:49.120 --> 11:52.120
So, you know, I know there's been lots of investigations,

11:52.120 --> 11:56.120
lots of talk about this, but I was just kind of doing my own investigation

11:56.120 --> 11:59.120
because I think that you should get both sides of it, okay?

11:59.120 --> 12:03.120
So I told everybody that was here on Thursday night

12:03.120 --> 12:06.120
that I had some questions that I wanted to have answered,

12:06.120 --> 12:11.120
and those questions did not get answered, directly anyway.

12:11.160 --> 12:17.160
So I called Brother Oliver, it went straight to voicemail,

12:17.160 --> 12:19.160
but it went to voicemail after a couple of rings.

12:19.160 --> 12:21.160
He never calls me back.

12:21.160 --> 12:23.160
I call Pastor Buzarnski.

12:23.160 --> 12:26.160
He doesn't answer, so I text him and tell him,

12:26.160 --> 12:29.160
hey, I'm not just trying to attack you or something,

12:29.160 --> 12:32.160
I just want to know, you know, I just have a couple questions to ask.

12:32.160 --> 12:36.160
So then he relays his, you know, he wants to know what I want to talk to him about.

12:36.160 --> 12:38.160
Everything's been already answered in the video.

12:38.160 --> 12:39.160
Well, no, it hasn't.

12:39.200 --> 12:41.200
It has not been answered.

12:41.200 --> 12:43.200
A lot of, you know, it's like we're transparent,

12:43.200 --> 12:46.200
we're just come up and ask us, and then like when people come up

12:46.200 --> 12:48.200
and ask them, they get stonewalled.

12:48.200 --> 12:52.200
And a couple people were actually kicked out of their church last night

12:52.200 --> 12:56.200
for actually, you know, telling people what's been going on.

12:56.200 --> 13:01.200
And so when you're doing a damage control emergency meeting

13:01.200 --> 13:04.200
and then throwing out the people that are telling people what's going on,

13:04.200 --> 13:05.200
that's a problem.

13:05.200 --> 13:07.200
That's covering sin.

13:07.240 --> 13:10.240
That is, you know, it's like they're being easier on the guy

13:10.240 --> 13:14.240
that left them high and dry and destroyed their church

13:14.240 --> 13:16.240
than they are on the person that is, you know,

13:16.240 --> 13:19.240
they're actually being hard on Pastor Stuckey

13:19.240 --> 13:21.240
who is actually the victim in this case.

13:21.240 --> 13:23.240
And it is victim blaming.

13:23.240 --> 13:24.240
It really is.

13:24.240 --> 13:27.240
And so you can say, well, he should have done this or he should have done that.

13:27.240 --> 13:30.240
Well, how about you shouldn't have been stealing from him for four years.

13:30.240 --> 13:31.240
How about that one?

13:31.240 --> 13:32.240
You know?

13:32.240 --> 13:34.240
And so that is what was happening.

13:34.240 --> 13:36.240
It's a fact.

13:36.280 --> 13:42.280
So, and I don't, you know, I don't remember money ever coming to our church,

13:42.280 --> 13:44.280
you know, directly for Matthew Stuckey.

13:44.280 --> 13:46.280
I can't remember if there was any other.

13:46.280 --> 13:48.280
I mean, I just honestly don't remember that.

13:48.280 --> 13:52.280
But there's no way I would have said, hey, you know, here,

13:52.280 --> 13:54.280
we're keeping his check or something.

13:54.280 --> 13:56.280
Like, that's ridiculous.

13:56.280 --> 13:57.280
I mean, I would not do that.

13:57.280 --> 14:03.280
So, and look, to say that you didn't know, but then you're just like,

14:03.280 --> 14:05.280
this is one of the first things that was brought to me.

14:05.320 --> 14:08.320
It's just like, you knew something was rotten.

14:08.320 --> 14:10.320
You knew something was bad.

14:10.320 --> 14:14.320
You just don't bother to even ask the CFO about these things.

14:14.320 --> 14:18.320
Like, supposedly he's the CFO, Pastor Stuckey, but he's not really, okay?

14:18.320 --> 14:19.320
I'm just saying.

14:19.320 --> 14:25.320
But you don't ask the guy that's been operating and doing your books for the last,

14:25.320 --> 14:28.320
however many years he's been, 10 years he's been doing it.

14:28.320 --> 14:31.320
You're not going to ask him any questions whatsoever.

14:31.360 --> 14:35.360
And then when it comes, when the line items come up about the missions,

14:35.360 --> 14:37.360
it's like, oh, no, we can't do that anymore.

14:37.360 --> 14:39.360
We've got to go give him 100%.

14:39.360 --> 14:42.360
Well, if he hasn't been getting 100%, don't you think he would track down?

14:42.360 --> 14:45.360
Like, how long has he not been getting 100%?

14:45.360 --> 14:49.360
You know, have some kind of question about that, but instead he just fires him?

14:49.360 --> 14:51.360
I mean, that doesn't look right.

14:51.360 --> 14:55.360
No matter whether you understood the whole deal or not, it doesn't look right.

14:55.360 --> 15:00.360
It doesn't seem right to anybody that has two eyeballs and a brain in the head.

15:00.400 --> 15:02.400
And a brain inside their head.

15:02.400 --> 15:04.400
So there's a lot of gaslighting going on.

15:04.400 --> 15:06.400
There's a lot of lying going on down there.

15:06.400 --> 15:10.400
And a lot of that's going to get revealed in the next days to come.

15:10.400 --> 15:12.400
So be prepared.

15:12.400 --> 15:16.400
I don't know at what avenue it's going to come, but I know I did talk to two witnesses

15:16.400 --> 15:18.400
last night and yesterday.

15:18.400 --> 15:22.400
You know, I talked for a long time getting their side of the story.

15:22.400 --> 15:27.400
And, you know, they've been wronged, but a lot of people in that church have been wronged.

15:27.440 --> 15:34.440
So as far as the moral sin of Pastor Jimenez, I'm not going to divulge that at this time.

15:34.440 --> 15:38.440
So because I, first of all, I just don't believe that that's all it is.

15:38.440 --> 15:41.440
I think that it's worse than what they're trying.

15:41.440 --> 15:45.440
It seems like they're trying to, like, throw the happy shiny thing out there.

15:45.440 --> 15:47.440
So people go, oh, it's just that.

15:47.440 --> 15:49.440
But it's more than just that.

15:49.440 --> 15:54.440
So anyway, people's lives have been majorly impacted.

15:54.480 --> 15:58.480
And Deacon, Oliver Gonzales, and Jared Pizarnski have been partakers in this.

15:58.480 --> 15:59.480
They have been.

15:59.480 --> 16:04.480
Whether they want to admit that or not, they have been partaking in a cover-up there.

16:04.480 --> 16:06.480
And I did try to call them.

16:06.480 --> 16:08.480
I tried to get their side.

16:08.480 --> 16:13.480
But, you know, it's weird when, you know, it's not like I was going to rip their heads off

16:13.480 --> 16:14.480
or something.

16:14.480 --> 16:17.480
I just wanted to find out what the answers to the questions I had were.

16:17.480 --> 16:21.480
And when you want to be that evasive about just answering some plain questions,

16:21.480 --> 16:23.480
that kind of concerns me a little bit.

16:23.520 --> 16:26.520
So, and to the two of the people that I...

16:26.520 --> 16:28.520
I'm just not even going to mention their names yet,

16:28.520 --> 16:31.520
because I want to make sure that this actually is going to come out.

16:31.520 --> 16:36.520
But the two people I talked to yesterday had some very interesting things to say

16:36.520 --> 16:41.520
about the S show that's going on down at Verity Baptist Church.

16:41.520 --> 16:43.520
It's just a complete dumpster fire.

16:43.520 --> 16:44.520
It really is.

16:44.520 --> 16:48.520
And Pastor Pizarnski wants to get up and cry about being attacked

16:48.520 --> 16:50.520
when he's the one that first attacked in the first place.

16:50.560 --> 16:51.560
That's what...

16:51.560 --> 16:52.560
I mean, it's funny.

16:52.560 --> 16:55.560
I like the analogy that Pastor Stuckey gave when he was like,

16:55.560 --> 16:57.560
if someone punches you in the face,

16:57.560 --> 16:58.560
you can't...

16:58.560 --> 17:02.560
when someone comes back and beats you up for punching them in the face,

17:02.560 --> 17:05.560
it's like, then you're going to cry about being attacked.

17:05.560 --> 17:07.560
It's like, he was like...

17:07.560 --> 17:10.560
I think he was the first person to come out and make a public statement

17:10.560 --> 17:12.560
and put stuff on his YouTube page.

17:12.560 --> 17:14.560
He put this little poster that he made,

17:14.560 --> 17:17.560
this little flyer that he put up on Facebook.

17:17.560 --> 17:19.560
You know, he doesn't use social media,

17:19.600 --> 17:22.600
but then he uses it to trash a pastor without any evidence

17:22.600 --> 17:24.600
based upon his own...

17:24.600 --> 17:27.600
just his own hard-heartedness towards this person.

17:27.600 --> 17:30.600
Pastor Pizarnski's hated Pastor Anderson for a long time,

17:30.600 --> 17:32.600
before he was a pastor,

17:32.600 --> 17:36.600
even back to when Pastor Shelley became the pastor at Steadfast.

17:36.600 --> 17:39.600
So that's how long he's had a problem with them.

17:39.600 --> 17:43.600
And then I guess he pretended to be good with them for a while,

17:43.600 --> 17:46.600
but then, you know, they got in a fight about, you know,

17:46.600 --> 17:48.600
the earth and stuff like that,

17:48.640 --> 17:50.640
or at some camp.

17:50.640 --> 17:53.640
I'm not saying he's a flat-earther or he's a geocitrus.

17:53.640 --> 17:58.640
I don't know, but, I mean, he was definitely arguing the side of it.

17:58.640 --> 18:00.640
So...

18:00.640 --> 18:04.640
But if you're just arguing the side of something just to be a contrarian,

18:04.640 --> 18:06.640
then that's kind of stupid, you know?

18:06.640 --> 18:11.640
Especially with someone that has like biology degrees and astrolog...

18:11.640 --> 18:13.640
I mean, he's been in...

18:13.640 --> 18:16.640
you know, he's got several degrees from college

18:16.680 --> 18:18.680
just because he gets bored or something.

18:18.680 --> 18:21.680
He just keeps learning and learning, you know?

18:21.680 --> 18:24.680
But anyway, you know, the geocentric earth

18:24.680 --> 18:26.680
has been debunked several times.

18:26.680 --> 18:30.680
So it's been debunked over, you know, multiple different ways.

18:30.680 --> 18:32.680
So I'm not going to get into that.

18:32.680 --> 18:34.680
It's getting too far into the weeds there.

18:34.680 --> 18:36.680
But...

18:36.680 --> 18:39.680
So I did get third-hand information back

18:39.680 --> 18:41.680
that supposedly they didn't know

18:41.720 --> 18:46.720
about the total, the totality of everything.

18:46.720 --> 18:50.720
And, you know, okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about that,

18:50.720 --> 18:53.720
but why is it being one of the first things brought up?

18:53.720 --> 18:56.720
Why are you firing said CFO

18:56.720 --> 18:59.720
without ever even talking to him about it at all?

18:59.720 --> 19:02.720
So I'm like, hey, you know, I noticed that there's this 50-50 deal going on.

19:02.720 --> 19:04.720
Like, can you explain this to me?

19:04.720 --> 19:05.720
Like, what was going on?

19:05.720 --> 19:08.720
Instead of just, we're going to give you 100% from now on

19:08.720 --> 19:10.720
with no explanations.

19:10.760 --> 19:12.760
And what it is is that he's mad.

19:12.760 --> 19:14.760
Probably the pastor stuck.

19:14.760 --> 19:16.760
He stuck up for Pastor Anderson in a couple posts

19:16.760 --> 19:18.760
over Facebook in the last year.

19:18.760 --> 19:21.760
And he probably didn't want to keep him as a missionary.

19:21.760 --> 19:23.760
So...

19:23.760 --> 19:25.760
But it's funny that, you know,

19:25.760 --> 19:27.760
Joshua Jimenez is on the payroll.

19:31.760 --> 19:35.760
So, you know, you're going to keep the pastor's son on staff

19:35.760 --> 19:37.760
and get rid of the, you know...

19:37.800 --> 19:40.800
And then now they're saying they're going to pay $2,000 a month back to him.

19:40.800 --> 19:43.800
That's pretty close to $2,700 that they were already going to give him anyway

19:43.800 --> 19:45.800
for being an employee there.

19:45.800 --> 19:47.800
So it's like now...

19:47.800 --> 19:49.800
I don't know.

19:49.800 --> 19:50.800
It's just bizarre.

19:50.800 --> 19:52.800
Now they have the money to do it, supposedly,

19:52.800 --> 19:56.800
and it's just the whole thing is just a complete train wreck.

19:56.800 --> 19:59.800
And so...

19:59.800 --> 20:02.800
Anyway, the people that I talked to yesterday,

20:02.800 --> 20:04.800
I believe that they're very credible witnesses.

20:04.800 --> 20:06.800
They were there.

20:06.840 --> 20:09.840
They actually asked these questions,

20:09.840 --> 20:13.840
some very hard questions to, you know, Roger Jimenez,

20:13.840 --> 20:16.840
to Oliver Gonzalez,

20:16.840 --> 20:18.840
and to Jerry Pizarnski.

20:18.840 --> 20:21.840
And when he said, hey, we need to know some of these things,

20:21.840 --> 20:25.840
then he got called into the office yesterday morning

20:25.840 --> 20:27.840
and told to not talk about it,

20:27.840 --> 20:29.840
according to this witness.

20:29.840 --> 20:33.840
And so that, you know, these people both left the church this last week.

20:33.880 --> 20:37.880
So...and these are people that are very loyal

20:37.880 --> 20:40.880
than were already for over nine years.

20:40.880 --> 20:42.880
And it really hurts them to have to do what they're doing,

20:42.880 --> 20:44.880
but now they're just smearing them

20:44.880 --> 20:47.880
and telling the church that they're marked.

20:47.880 --> 20:49.880
So they're marked, they're kicked out,

20:49.880 --> 20:53.880
even though they left, but they're marked and kicked out.

20:53.880 --> 20:57.880
And they're being told that they're lying about stuff.

20:57.880 --> 21:00.880
So like, you know, there's...

21:00.920 --> 21:03.920
Just to kind of fill you in a little bit,

21:03.920 --> 21:05.920
there's NDAs that have been signed,

21:05.920 --> 21:07.920
so that's probably part of the reason why

21:07.920 --> 21:10.920
you're not hearing what's been done.

21:10.920 --> 21:14.920
And, okay, I'm going to say this.

21:14.920 --> 21:18.920
Maybe it's not technically called an NDA,

21:18.920 --> 21:20.920
but whatever it is, it's a gag order

21:20.920 --> 21:23.920
to not talk about Pastor Jimenez's sin

21:23.920 --> 21:28.920
and to talk about, you know, anything to do with the church.

21:28.960 --> 21:32.960
So when the church leadership is gagged

21:32.960 --> 21:37.960
from the ending pastor, that's pretty bad.

21:37.960 --> 21:39.960
You can't even bring up what's happened.

21:39.960 --> 21:42.960
You can't tell people what's going on.

21:42.960 --> 21:47.960
And these things were disclosed, you know,

21:47.960 --> 21:48.960
not disclosed...

21:48.960 --> 21:51.960
They did not disclose these things to the whole church.

21:51.960 --> 21:53.960
And so basically they're hiding things from the church

21:53.960 --> 21:56.960
and then, you know, it's bad.

21:57.000 --> 21:59.000
You're going to see very soon how bad it really is.

21:59.000 --> 22:02.000
But apparently it's all the new IFBs' fault, though,

22:02.000 --> 22:05.000
that their church is getting destroyed.

22:05.000 --> 22:07.000
Of course, it's Pastor Anderson's fault.

22:07.000 --> 22:09.000
I guess apparently all they like to do

22:09.000 --> 22:11.000
is sit around and talk about how bad Pastor Anderson is

22:11.000 --> 22:13.000
and how bad of a deal they got

22:13.000 --> 22:15.000
from Pastor Anderson or whatever.

22:15.000 --> 22:20.000
So, but, you know, that's just...

22:20.000 --> 22:22.000
That's just like what little girls do

22:22.000 --> 22:25.000
is cry about how it's somebody else's fault.

22:25.040 --> 22:27.040
And no offense to little girls

22:27.040 --> 22:29.040
because little girls cry sometimes, you know.

22:29.040 --> 22:33.040
But I don't expect grown men to cry about being attacked

22:33.040 --> 22:34.040
when you attack them first.

22:34.040 --> 22:38.040
I mean, it's like you did it to yourself, man.

22:38.040 --> 22:40.040
And then the Bible has a principle

22:40.040 --> 22:42.040
called reaping and sowing.

22:42.040 --> 22:45.040
Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

22:45.040 --> 22:47.040
You know, you just go on a full attack

22:47.040 --> 22:50.040
and attack somebody and then preach a sermon series

22:50.040 --> 22:53.040
based on a false scripture that's not...

22:53.040 --> 22:54.040
I mean, it's not a false scripture,

22:54.080 --> 22:57.080
but it's a scripture that's not interpreted correctly.

22:57.080 --> 23:00.080
You know, you're going to have problems.

23:00.080 --> 23:03.080
And that's why I said I don't care what smoke comes to him

23:03.080 --> 23:06.080
or any of the pastors that just came out with no evidence

23:06.080 --> 23:10.080
just believing these kids when their stories don't add up.

23:10.080 --> 23:12.080
And let me just tell you something right now.

23:12.080 --> 23:14.080
If their stories don't add up

23:14.080 --> 23:16.080
and they're different from each other's,

23:16.080 --> 23:19.080
vastly different, it's not true.

23:19.080 --> 23:21.080
You cannot count their witness.

23:21.080 --> 23:22.080
I don't care...

23:22.120 --> 23:23.120
Look, in a court of law,

23:23.120 --> 23:25.120
once you're found lying about a matter,

23:25.120 --> 23:27.120
the matter at hand,

23:27.120 --> 23:30.120
your testimony is completely dismissed.

23:30.120 --> 23:32.120
I mean, look it up.

23:32.120 --> 23:36.120
So, again, no lies of the truth, the Bible says.

23:36.120 --> 23:40.120
So if your premise starts out with lies,

23:40.120 --> 23:41.120
then what else are you lying about?

23:41.120 --> 23:45.120
How can you trust anything else that they say after that?

23:45.120 --> 23:46.120
Okay?

23:46.120 --> 23:47.120
And look, you can get off into the weeds

23:47.120 --> 23:49.120
about all these different things,

23:49.120 --> 23:51.120
but the fact remains that there's still no evidence

23:51.160 --> 23:53.160
that Pastor Anderson beat his wife

23:53.160 --> 23:56.160
or beat his kids in a way where

23:56.160 --> 24:00.160
there's lashes on their back and all this other stuff.

24:00.160 --> 24:04.160
It's just, you know, if you already want to hate somebody,

24:04.160 --> 24:06.160
and I've talked about this before,

24:06.160 --> 24:08.160
if you already want to hate somebody

24:08.160 --> 24:10.160
and then you just...

24:10.160 --> 24:13.160
Everything they do, yep, he did it, yep, uh-huh, I believe it.

24:13.160 --> 24:15.160
That's not right judgment.

24:15.160 --> 24:17.160
That is not right judgment.

24:17.160 --> 24:19.160
It doesn't matter what they did before.

24:19.200 --> 24:21.200
If someone lies before,

24:21.200 --> 24:23.200
and then you're saying they're lying now

24:23.200 --> 24:26.200
because they're a known liar, well, everybody's a liar.

24:26.200 --> 24:28.200
But are you lying about the matter at hand?

24:28.200 --> 24:29.200
Because...

24:29.200 --> 24:31.200
And then it's just someone maybe has murdered someone

24:31.200 --> 24:33.200
in the past and they didn't get the death penalty

24:33.200 --> 24:34.200
and they're out of jail, it's like,

24:34.200 --> 24:35.200
hey, did you murder...

24:35.200 --> 24:37.200
Let's check and see if he murdered them, you know?

24:37.200 --> 24:41.200
And in today's society, I guess that could happen, okay?

24:41.200 --> 24:44.200
People get let out of jail on, you know, with no bail,

24:44.200 --> 24:45.200
you know, on stuff today.

24:45.200 --> 24:48.200
But I'm just saying it shouldn't be like that.

24:48.240 --> 24:50.240
But, I mean, you can't just say that,

24:50.240 --> 24:52.240
oh, he did it because he murdered somebody 20 years ago.

24:52.240 --> 24:54.240
You have to actually look at the evidence

24:54.240 --> 24:56.240
and see whether it's true or not.

24:56.240 --> 24:58.240
And that's called judging righteous judgment.

24:58.240 --> 25:01.240
So turn to 1 Corinthians 5.

25:01.240 --> 25:02.240
Keep your finger...

25:02.240 --> 25:03.240
Well, you don't have to keep your finger here,

25:03.240 --> 25:05.240
but we're gonna come back to Proverbs in a bit.

25:05.240 --> 25:08.240
But, look, you can't just sit there

25:08.240 --> 25:10.240
and blame Pastor Anderson for everything

25:10.240 --> 25:13.240
and blame the new IFB for your church getting smoked.

25:13.240 --> 25:15.240
How is it always somebody else's fault

25:15.280 --> 25:17.280
but you never blame the actual person

25:17.280 --> 25:19.280
who screwed your church over?

25:19.280 --> 25:20.280
Amen.

25:20.280 --> 25:22.280
And, look, let me just tell you this.

25:22.280 --> 25:23.280
I love Pastor Jimenez.

25:23.280 --> 25:24.280
I don't like him.

25:24.280 --> 25:25.280
I love him.

25:25.280 --> 25:27.280
And he's not Pastor Jimenez.

25:27.280 --> 25:29.280
I just keep calling him that out of habit.

25:29.280 --> 25:31.280
But I do love him.

25:31.280 --> 25:34.280
And I hope he gets right, but he's unrepentant.

25:34.280 --> 25:37.280
And he's just...

25:37.280 --> 25:40.280
I feel like he's controlling Verity

25:40.280 --> 25:43.280
in a way where all his family still goes there.

25:43.320 --> 25:46.320
Like, why would you let your family go back to that church?

25:46.320 --> 25:48.320
You should let that church be.

25:48.320 --> 25:51.320
You should let them move on and quit haunting

25:51.320 --> 25:53.320
the halls of that church and the pews of that church

25:53.320 --> 25:55.320
with your family members.

25:55.320 --> 25:58.320
And, you know, it's putting a compromising position

25:58.320 --> 26:00.320
on the coming in pastor.

26:00.320 --> 26:02.320
And the pastor there is being a respecter of persons

26:02.320 --> 26:03.320
because of that.

26:03.320 --> 26:05.320
He doesn't want them to leave the church.

26:05.320 --> 26:07.320
He doesn't want them to go away from the church.

26:07.320 --> 26:10.320
And it's like, well, I mean, why are you letting them go there?

26:10.320 --> 26:12.320
Oh, because they're gonna miss their friends.

26:12.360 --> 26:15.360
So family is more important than friends, okay?

26:15.360 --> 26:17.360
You gotta take care of your family first.

26:17.360 --> 26:20.360
And just who cares about the friends?

26:20.360 --> 26:21.360
They'll make new friends.

26:21.360 --> 26:23.360
Kids make friends all the time.

26:23.360 --> 26:25.360
It's like, oh, I'll never have another friend again.

26:25.360 --> 26:28.360
I mean, we've moved before, and our kids were the same way.

26:28.360 --> 26:30.360
And it's like, but they made new friends.

26:30.360 --> 26:33.360
It's like, at the time, it's the end of a teenager's life

26:33.360 --> 26:34.360
when they...

26:34.360 --> 26:36.360
But you're not gonna be friends with that teenager

26:36.360 --> 26:38.360
20 years from down the road.

26:38.360 --> 26:40.360
More than likely.

26:40.400 --> 26:42.400
The people you went to high school with,

26:42.400 --> 26:44.400
you're probably not gonna still be friends

26:44.400 --> 26:45.400
with most of those people.

26:45.400 --> 26:47.400
Even though, oh, it's the best of times or whatever.

26:47.400 --> 26:48.400
No.

26:48.400 --> 26:52.400
Who here is still friends with their high school best friend?

26:52.400 --> 26:54.400
Bill, that's it.

26:54.400 --> 26:55.400
Because he's nice.

26:55.400 --> 26:56.400
No, I'm just kidding.

26:56.400 --> 26:57.400
Miss Olleh.

26:57.400 --> 26:58.400
Two people.

26:58.400 --> 27:00.400
I mean, that's just how rare it is.

27:00.400 --> 27:04.400
So I mean, I'm still friends with friends from high school,

27:04.400 --> 27:07.400
a couple of them, but most of them I can't be friends with.

27:07.440 --> 27:12.440
Anyway, 1 Corinthians, chapter 5, the Bible says,

27:12.440 --> 27:15.440
it is reported commonly that there is a fornication among you

27:15.440 --> 27:19.440
and such fornication is not so much as named among the Gentiles

27:19.440 --> 27:22.440
that one should have his father's wife.

27:22.440 --> 27:24.440
Now, of course, this isn't what has happened,

27:24.440 --> 27:28.440
but the point I want to show you here is that it says in verse 2,

27:28.440 --> 27:31.440
and you're puffed up and have not rather mourned

27:31.440 --> 27:34.440
that he that hath done this deed might be taken away

27:34.440 --> 27:35.440
from among you.

27:35.480 --> 27:38.480
And look, if he still has a major imprint in that church,

27:38.480 --> 27:41.480
if he's the one that picked the new pastor,

27:41.480 --> 27:43.480
that's a problem.

27:43.480 --> 27:46.480
Why are you letting somebody that's disgraced themselves

27:46.480 --> 27:49.480
and had to resign at the drop of a hat,

27:49.480 --> 27:51.480
look, if it's what they're saying it is,

27:51.480 --> 27:56.480
then the reaction to what the sin that is being said it is

27:56.480 --> 27:59.480
in behind the scenes or whatever,

27:59.480 --> 28:03.480
does not match the reaction, is what I'm saying.

28:03.520 --> 28:07.520
And look, I'm not trying to downplay what they're saying it is

28:07.520 --> 28:08.520
as being a sin.

28:08.520 --> 28:10.520
Of course it is, of course it's wicked,

28:10.520 --> 28:14.520
but it's not what warrants what has taken place since then.

28:14.520 --> 28:17.520
And like I said, I can't give out all the details right now,

28:17.520 --> 28:19.520
but I have heard myself from the two witnesses,

28:19.520 --> 28:23.520
so anything that I say has been corroborated by two witnesses.

28:23.520 --> 28:26.520
So I'll just say that.

28:26.520 --> 28:29.520
But I'll let the men that are going to come forward

28:29.520 --> 28:32.520
and their wives know what they're saying,

28:32.560 --> 28:35.560
and their wives know about what happened too.

28:35.560 --> 28:38.560
But I'll let that be revealed by those guys

28:38.560 --> 28:41.560
in whatever capacity they want to.

28:44.560 --> 28:45.560
So it says,

28:45.560 --> 28:48.560
But you're puffed up and have not rather mourned

28:48.560 --> 28:51.560
that he that has done this deed may be taken away from among you.

28:51.560 --> 28:53.560
Look, and this is the attitude that Verity's had.

28:53.560 --> 28:55.560
They've had a puffed up attitude.

28:55.560 --> 28:57.560
It's all Pastor Anderson's fault.

28:57.560 --> 28:58.560
That dang new IFB,

28:58.560 --> 29:01.560
we would have been able to move on if it wasn't for that dang new IFB,

29:01.600 --> 29:05.600
but you need to move on by telling what happened

29:05.600 --> 29:07.600
and stop gaslighting your people,

29:07.600 --> 29:09.600
stop gaslighting the internet,

29:09.600 --> 29:11.600
stop gaslighting people.

29:11.600 --> 29:14.600
And look, some of the people that go there are good people that I love.

29:14.600 --> 29:16.600
And they probably don't love me right now,

29:16.600 --> 29:17.600
but that's okay.

29:17.600 --> 29:19.600
I still love them.

29:19.600 --> 29:22.600
And look, and I'm not trying to destroy their church.

29:22.600 --> 29:24.600
They've done that already.

29:24.600 --> 29:26.600
They've allowed that to happen to them.

29:26.600 --> 29:28.600
And look, the people aren't going to necessarily be able to fight

29:28.600 --> 29:30.600
and stand up for themselves,

29:30.640 --> 29:33.640
but people that actually have two eyeballs and a brain there

29:33.640 --> 29:35.640
and that are not still sucked into all this,

29:35.640 --> 29:38.640
they're like, they're looking at things

29:38.640 --> 29:40.640
and they're like, hey, there's something wrong here.

29:40.640 --> 29:42.640
There's no transparency here.

29:42.640 --> 29:44.640
The new pastor should just be transparent

29:44.640 --> 29:46.640
and tell them everything that they want to know.

29:46.640 --> 29:48.640
Instead, he's just like,

29:48.640 --> 29:50.640
Stucky's fault,

29:50.640 --> 29:51.640
Pastor Anderson's fault.

29:51.640 --> 29:54.640
Take some accountability for what you've done

29:54.640 --> 29:56.640
and what your previous pastor has done.

29:56.640 --> 29:58.640
And stop being a respecter of persons

29:58.680 --> 30:00.680
and families all sitting in the pews

30:00.680 --> 30:02.680
and you just don't want to preach hard against it.

30:02.680 --> 30:04.680
Tell them to stay home.

30:04.680 --> 30:05.680
Stay home.

30:05.680 --> 30:08.680
I'm going to rip your husband to pieces.

30:08.680 --> 30:11.680
But it's like, oh, well, we just want a place for them.

30:11.680 --> 30:14.680
There's plenty of churches in that Sacramento area

30:14.680 --> 30:15.680
where they can go to church at.

30:15.680 --> 30:17.680
They don't have to go to that one.

30:17.680 --> 30:20.680
But then, you know, he doesn't like Pioneer either.

30:22.680 --> 30:23.680
Some people don't like Pioneer.

30:23.680 --> 30:25.680
Okay, well, there's Regency.

30:25.680 --> 30:27.680
And then there's another church

30:27.720 --> 30:29.720
that's called Grace Baptist or something.

30:29.720 --> 30:31.720
But you can go someplace else,

30:31.720 --> 30:32.720
but have your family with you.

30:32.720 --> 30:35.720
I mean, I just don't understand how you could be

30:35.720 --> 30:38.720
a pastor and, you know, leading your family to church

30:38.720 --> 30:40.720
and then now you're just letting your family

30:40.720 --> 30:42.720
go to a church that you destroyed

30:42.720 --> 30:43.720
and then you're going to some other church.

30:43.720 --> 30:45.720
That's just weird.

30:45.720 --> 30:47.720
And it seems like it's almost like some of them

30:47.720 --> 30:48.720
are there to be gatekeepers

30:48.720 --> 30:50.720
so that nobody tells the secret or something.

30:50.720 --> 30:53.720
Nobody reveals what's going on.

30:53.720 --> 30:56.720
There's a lot of bad things going on there.

30:56.760 --> 31:00.760
So, and it says, verse 3,

31:00.760 --> 31:04.760
For I verily as present in body but present,

31:04.760 --> 31:06.760
absent in body, excuse me, but present in spirit

31:06.760 --> 31:09.760
have judged already as though I were present

31:09.760 --> 31:12.760
concerning him that hath so done this deed.

31:12.760 --> 31:14.760
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ

31:14.760 --> 31:16.760
when you're gathered together in my spirit

31:16.760 --> 31:18.760
with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ

31:18.760 --> 31:19.760
to deliver such an one unto Satan

31:19.760 --> 31:21.760
for the destruction of the flesh

31:21.760 --> 31:23.760
that the spirit may be saved

31:23.760 --> 31:25.760
in the day of the Lord Jesus.

31:26.760 --> 31:28.760
Your glorying is not good.

31:28.760 --> 31:29.760
Know ye not that a little leaven

31:29.760 --> 31:31.760
leaveneth the whole lump?

31:31.760 --> 31:34.760
And so they're glorying, they're acting like

31:34.760 --> 31:36.760
hey, we've got to remember everything that's positive

31:36.760 --> 31:38.760
and look, I preach a sermon that was

31:38.760 --> 31:41.760
hey, you know, someone gets killed

31:41.760 --> 31:44.760
and one of God's anointed people

31:44.760 --> 31:46.760
go down in flames or whatever

31:46.760 --> 31:50.760
that we shouldn't just bash them to death

31:50.760 --> 31:53.760
but what has been done needs to be acknowledged.

31:53.760 --> 31:55.760
David acknowledged his sin.

31:55.800 --> 31:58.800
You know, so it does need to be acknowledged

31:58.800 --> 31:59.800
but what's Saul's attitude?

31:59.800 --> 32:02.800
Saul's attitude, oh, the people, it's their fault.

32:02.800 --> 32:04.800
It's the people's fault.

32:04.800 --> 32:05.800
That's the Saul attitude.

32:05.800 --> 32:07.800
See, the difference between David and Saul is

32:07.800 --> 32:09.800
Saul actually didn't take accountability

32:09.800 --> 32:12.800
for the things he did and David did.

32:12.800 --> 32:14.800
That's why God had mercy on David

32:14.800 --> 32:16.800
and he didn't have mercy on Saul

32:16.800 --> 32:18.800
because Saul was really just making excuses

32:18.800 --> 32:20.800
as to why it was somebody else's fault.

32:20.800 --> 32:22.800
The people grabbed of the best of the sheep

32:22.800 --> 32:23.800
and all that stuff.

32:23.840 --> 32:26.840
No, there's two different attitudes.

32:26.840 --> 32:28.840
You know, if he, and look,

32:28.840 --> 32:31.840
I just think that he should have just moved on.

32:31.840 --> 32:33.840
Let that church, you know, quit haunting that church

32:33.840 --> 32:34.840
with all your family members

32:34.840 --> 32:36.840
and let that church move on

32:36.840 --> 32:37.840
and you need to get rid of Oliver

32:37.840 --> 32:40.840
and you need to get rid of Pastor Buzarnsky.

32:40.840 --> 32:41.840
Just plain and simple.

32:41.840 --> 32:44.840
You're going to see why soon enough

32:44.840 --> 32:46.840
but it's bad, it's bad.

32:46.840 --> 32:48.840
They've been lying to their people.

32:48.840 --> 32:49.840
They've been making stuff up

32:49.840 --> 32:52.840
and it's just, and then blaming the wrong people.

32:52.880 --> 32:54.880
Blaming the wrong people, of course.

32:54.880 --> 32:59.880
So, lots of lies are being told around the camp there.

32:59.880 --> 33:00.880
Verse 6,

33:10.880 --> 33:13.880
for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.

33:13.880 --> 33:15.880
Look, this passage is about

33:15.880 --> 33:17.880
getting rid of people that shouldn't be in church

33:17.880 --> 33:21.880
because they're going to be a cancer inside your church.

33:21.920 --> 33:22.920
Their leaven is going to grow.

33:22.920 --> 33:23.920
Their sin is going to grow

33:23.920 --> 33:25.920
and infest the rest of the church.

33:25.920 --> 33:27.920
And so you have to get them out of there.

33:27.920 --> 33:28.920
Okay?

33:28.920 --> 33:31.920
So, not just let their whole family stay there

33:31.920 --> 33:33.920
and just always looking at the pastor.

33:33.920 --> 33:34.920
What's he going to say?

33:34.920 --> 33:36.920
What's he going to say about them?

33:36.920 --> 33:39.920
You know, and then, how'd you hear that?

33:39.920 --> 33:41.920
You know, just this kind of stuff.

33:41.920 --> 33:44.920
And people are afraid probably to even speak up

33:44.920 --> 33:45.920
and say anything because, you know,

33:45.920 --> 33:47.920
pastor Mendes can do no wrong, apparently.

33:47.920 --> 33:50.920
What he did wasn't sin.

33:50.960 --> 33:55.960
It was just, you know, it was just not really,

33:57.960 --> 33:59.960
what's the word I'm trying to think of?

34:01.960 --> 34:03.960
Yeah, optimal, but it's not that.

34:03.960 --> 34:07.960
It's unethical.

34:07.960 --> 34:09.960
Yeah, it's just unethical.

34:09.960 --> 34:10.960
No, it's sin.

34:10.960 --> 34:12.960
You have to call it what it is.

34:12.960 --> 34:16.960
But you're going to just call out the guy that got victimized.

34:16.960 --> 34:17.960
It's just not right.

34:17.960 --> 34:19.960
The Bible says, go ahead and turn to Luke 12.

34:20.000 --> 34:23.000
I'm going to read Luke 8, 17.

34:23.000 --> 34:24.000
Luke 8, 17 says,

34:24.000 --> 34:27.000
For nothing is secret that shall not be made manifest,

34:27.000 --> 34:32.000
neither anything hid that shall not be known and come abroad.

34:34.000 --> 34:37.000
So, and then that last verse in 1 Corinthians,

34:37.000 --> 34:38.000
I already had you turn away from it,

34:38.000 --> 34:39.000
but it says,

34:39.000 --> 34:41.000
Therefore let us keep the feast not with old leaven,

34:41.000 --> 34:44.000
neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness,

34:44.000 --> 34:48.000
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

34:48.040 --> 34:50.040
There has to be truth.

34:50.040 --> 34:53.040
Your church can't be based on lies.

34:53.040 --> 34:56.040
And you have to be sincere, you have to have truth.

34:56.040 --> 34:58.040
And look, we're going to take the Lord's Supper,

34:58.040 --> 35:00.040
and I think this directly applies.

35:00.040 --> 35:02.040
Why was he using that imagery?

35:02.040 --> 35:05.040
Because Christ our Lord is our Passover,

35:05.040 --> 35:10.040
and when those types of sins are being done in the church,

35:10.040 --> 35:14.040
you've got to get rid of that element and completely squash it.

35:14.040 --> 35:16.040
So again, I do love the people,

35:16.080 --> 35:18.080
a lot of the people of Verity Baptist Church,

35:18.080 --> 35:21.080
but they're being lied to and things are being covered up,

35:21.080 --> 35:24.080
and they will get revealed very soon.

35:24.080 --> 35:26.080
Luke chapter 12 verse 1, the Bible says,

35:26.080 --> 35:30.080
In the meantime, when there were gathered together

35:30.080 --> 35:32.080
an innumerable multitude of people

35:32.080 --> 35:34.080
and so much that they trod one upon another,

35:34.080 --> 35:36.080
He began to say unto His disciples,

35:36.080 --> 35:40.080
First of all, be wary of the leaven of the Pharisees,

35:40.080 --> 35:42.080
which is hypocrisy.

35:42.080 --> 35:45.080
For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed

35:45.120 --> 35:48.120
neither hid that shall not be known.

35:48.120 --> 35:52.120
So look, these things, you can try to cover them

35:52.120 --> 35:53.120
as long as you want,

35:53.120 --> 35:55.120
but eventually they're going to come to the surface.

35:55.120 --> 35:57.120
The truth is going to come out.

35:57.120 --> 36:00.120
And people are just like, I need to know the truth.

36:00.120 --> 36:02.120
They're like, you can't handle the truth or whatever,

36:02.120 --> 36:05.120
but they can handle the truth.

36:05.120 --> 36:07.120
They need to handle the truth and then get past it

36:07.120 --> 36:09.120
and move forward as a church

36:09.120 --> 36:11.120
and move forward without people that are going to sit there

36:11.120 --> 36:13.120
and gaslight and lie to them.

36:13.160 --> 36:15.160
Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness

36:15.160 --> 36:17.160
shall be heard in the light,

36:17.160 --> 36:19.160
and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets

36:19.160 --> 36:21.160
shall be proclaimed on the housetops.

36:21.160 --> 36:23.160
And I say unto you, my friends,

36:23.160 --> 36:25.160
be not afraid of them that kill the body

36:25.160 --> 36:28.160
and after that have no more that they can do.

36:28.160 --> 36:30.160
But I will forewarn you of whom ye shall fear.

36:30.160 --> 36:33.160
Fear Him which after he hath killed

36:33.160 --> 36:36.160
hath power to cast into hell.

36:36.160 --> 36:38.160
Yea, I say unto you, fear Him.

36:38.160 --> 36:40.160
So look, the fear of God is something

36:40.160 --> 36:42.160
that's very important in our lives.

36:42.200 --> 36:44.200
And if you're fearing the people

36:44.200 --> 36:46.200
more than you're fearing what God is going to do,

36:46.200 --> 36:48.200
you've got a problem on your hands.

36:48.200 --> 36:50.200
If you're fearing the eyes of the pastor's family

36:50.200 --> 36:52.200
that's still sitting in the church there

36:52.200 --> 36:54.200
and you're fearing the rest of the people

36:54.200 --> 36:55.200
that are loyal to them,

36:55.200 --> 36:57.200
you're compromised already.

36:57.200 --> 36:58.200
You might as well just resign

36:58.200 --> 37:00.200
and just go back to Fresno or something.

37:00.200 --> 37:02.200
Because you're compromised,

37:02.200 --> 37:03.200
you're not saying the truth,

37:03.200 --> 37:05.200
you're not ripping on it.

37:05.200 --> 37:07.200
And look, I don't want to preach against

37:07.200 --> 37:09.200
the former Pastor Jimenez.

37:09.200 --> 37:10.200
I don't.

37:10.240 --> 37:12.240
But these things do have,

37:12.240 --> 37:14.240
this has to be talked about.

37:14.240 --> 37:15.240
This has to be preached about.

37:15.240 --> 37:19.240
Look, and this is what I said to Jared in my text message.

37:19.240 --> 37:22.240
I said, whether people like it or not,

37:22.240 --> 37:23.240
our church is intertwined with the name

37:23.240 --> 37:24.240
of Verity Baptist Church

37:24.240 --> 37:26.240
because we were the first church

37:26.240 --> 37:28.240
that was started by Pastor Jimenez.

37:28.240 --> 37:30.240
So it is important to people in our church

37:30.240 --> 37:32.240
because a lot of people love him too.

37:32.240 --> 37:34.240
And some people didn't really know him that well

37:34.240 --> 37:35.240
that are here now,

37:35.240 --> 37:36.240
but there's a lot of people here

37:36.240 --> 37:38.240
that have been with us from the beginning.

37:38.280 --> 37:41.280
And so it is something I can't just pretend

37:41.280 --> 37:43.280
like this isn't happening.

37:43.280 --> 37:45.280
Okay, and I'm not going to.

37:45.280 --> 37:49.280
And so like I said, do I like Roger Jimenez?

37:49.280 --> 37:51.280
No, I love him.

37:51.280 --> 37:54.280
And I think it's important that,

37:54.280 --> 37:56.280
you know, it's like Nathan the prophet loved David,

37:56.280 --> 37:58.280
but he still rebuked him to his face

37:58.280 --> 38:00.280
and told him, thou art the man.

38:00.280 --> 38:03.280
So that needs to happen.

38:03.280 --> 38:05.280
And they're not doing that.

38:05.320 --> 38:07.320
And they're not doing that.

38:07.320 --> 38:09.320
And it seems that he's still ruling

38:09.320 --> 38:10.320
over that church's leadership

38:10.320 --> 38:14.320
with fear of threats of being sued

38:14.320 --> 38:16.320
and all kinds of stuff like that,

38:16.320 --> 38:18.320
which is wicked.

38:18.320 --> 38:20.320
1 Corinthians 6, we're not supposed to have

38:20.320 --> 38:22.320
lawsuits against other believers,

38:22.320 --> 38:23.320
just plain and simple.

38:23.320 --> 38:26.320
So if you're having people sign some kind of,

38:26.320 --> 38:27.320
whatever you want to call it,

38:27.320 --> 38:28.320
I'm not going to say,

38:28.320 --> 38:30.320
I don't want to get sued for saying it's an NDA,

38:30.360 --> 38:36.360
but it's some kind of separation of employment clause

38:36.360 --> 38:39.360
that they were told that they had to sign.

38:39.360 --> 38:41.360
And from what I've heard, they have signed it.

38:41.360 --> 38:43.360
And then last night, they were telling their people

38:43.360 --> 38:44.360
that they didn't sign anything.

38:44.360 --> 38:47.360
So I don't know.

38:47.360 --> 38:50.360
I guess, you know, we might not ever know

38:50.360 --> 38:51.360
the full truth of that matter,

38:51.360 --> 38:55.360
but I know for a fact that they were doing NDAs on people

38:55.360 --> 38:58.360
and they were calling it NDAs.

38:58.360 --> 38:59.360
That I do know.

38:59.400 --> 39:01.400
So...

39:03.400 --> 39:05.400
And let's see, so...

39:05.400 --> 39:08.400
And look, people are leaving that church in droves.

39:08.400 --> 39:10.400
They are, you know,

39:10.400 --> 39:12.400
how many more have to come against the church

39:12.400 --> 39:14.400
and spill the tea before people will just wake up?

39:14.400 --> 39:17.400
There's a lot of, like, inner fighting on the internet

39:17.400 --> 39:18.400
about all this stuff.

39:18.400 --> 39:20.400
I've been trying to stay away from it.

39:20.400 --> 39:22.400
I really have not gone to any of the messages

39:22.400 --> 39:25.400
and message boards or whatever, the groups.

39:25.440 --> 39:26.440
I haven't been...

39:26.440 --> 39:31.440
I've not let that influence my decision-making on this at all.

39:31.440 --> 39:33.440
I just have clearly stayed away from it.

39:33.440 --> 39:36.440
And I've barely been on Facebook at all.

39:36.440 --> 39:39.440
And I've just stayed out of the groups,

39:39.440 --> 39:41.440
not being involved in it.

39:41.440 --> 39:46.440
Because I just wanted to make a decision based upon the facts

39:46.440 --> 39:50.440
and not just how my heart feels about the situation.

39:50.440 --> 39:52.440
We never should make decisions like that.

39:52.480 --> 39:57.480
So, anyway, I've made my decision from the start about what...

39:57.480 --> 39:59.480
And I've stuck by this the whole time.

39:59.480 --> 40:02.480
When all this stuff with Pastor Anderson first came out,

40:02.480 --> 40:04.480
the first sermon I preached about it

40:04.480 --> 40:06.480
and I still stick by that sermon

40:06.480 --> 40:08.480
is that until there's two or three witnesses

40:08.480 --> 40:11.480
and there's evidence, I will not believe it.

40:11.480 --> 40:13.480
You can't just believe something because you...

40:13.480 --> 40:14.480
Oh, I think that it...

40:14.480 --> 40:16.480
You know, how did he lose the heart of his children?

40:16.480 --> 40:19.480
Look, it doesn't matter what you think.

40:19.480 --> 40:21.480
What is the answer?

40:21.520 --> 40:23.520
What does the evidence say?

40:23.520 --> 40:25.520
Because if they're saying that there's lashes on their back

40:25.520 --> 40:28.520
that are drawing blood, where's the marks?

40:28.520 --> 40:32.520
Their backs are as smooth as a baby's bottom.

40:32.520 --> 40:34.520
If they're going out with their shirts off,

40:34.520 --> 40:36.520
swimming in the public, I doubt very much

40:36.520 --> 40:39.520
that they have giant lash marks that are bleeding on their back.

40:39.520 --> 40:41.520
Nobody's going to do that.

40:41.520 --> 40:44.520
Every time CPS has gone there, everything is cool.

40:44.520 --> 40:47.520
It's not like they just know that CPS is going to arrive.

40:47.520 --> 40:49.520
And when they come every day,

40:49.560 --> 40:51.560
I mean, multiple times a day,

40:51.560 --> 40:53.560
then, you know, this is like...

40:53.560 --> 40:55.560
You can feed into these lies all you want

40:55.560 --> 40:57.560
and just believe...

40:57.560 --> 40:59.560
I just want to believe the kids!

40:59.560 --> 41:01.560
And this is what was said.

41:01.560 --> 41:03.560
This is exactly what was said, I believe Miriam.

41:03.560 --> 41:05.560
I believe the kids.

41:05.560 --> 41:07.560
It's just like, well, why do you believe them?

41:07.560 --> 41:10.560
Because their stories don't match up.

41:10.560 --> 41:12.560
I mean, does anybody really think

41:12.560 --> 41:14.560
that Pastor Anderson was going to kill his daughter

41:14.560 --> 41:16.560
and dump her in the swamp somewhere?

41:16.560 --> 41:18.560
Because that's what she said.

41:18.600 --> 41:20.600
And anybody that was ever around her,

41:20.600 --> 41:23.600
because she came to our churches when he came to preach sometimes,

41:23.600 --> 41:25.600
and they were cutting it up and laughing,

41:25.600 --> 41:27.600
I don't think that's the face of somebody

41:27.600 --> 41:29.600
that's afraid that her dad's going to kill her.

41:29.600 --> 41:31.600
I'm sorry, I don't believe that.

41:33.600 --> 41:35.600
And there's still...

41:35.600 --> 41:39.600
Guess what? There's still no evidence after over a year and a half.

41:39.600 --> 41:42.600
So no matter how many people try to convince me,

41:42.600 --> 41:44.600
it's just not going to happen unless I see the proof.

41:44.600 --> 41:46.600
And I don't think it's ever going to manifest.

41:46.640 --> 41:48.640
But I'll tell you what is proven,

41:48.640 --> 41:50.640
that everybody that's just come out against him hard,

41:50.640 --> 41:53.640
their church is no longer what it used to be.

41:53.640 --> 41:56.640
Even Pastor Buzarnski's church in Fresno, gone.

41:56.640 --> 41:58.640
Joe Jones' church, gone.

41:58.640 --> 42:03.640
He's just a...what, a free gracer now or something?

42:03.640 --> 42:06.640
I'm a free gracer, but not like on his level.

42:06.640 --> 42:10.640
I mean, he done threw away the Baptist's name and everything.

42:10.640 --> 42:13.640
But both of those guys,

42:13.680 --> 42:16.680
both got information that I was told,

42:16.680 --> 42:19.680
and I just...when I was told this information,

42:19.680 --> 42:22.680
it was by one witness.

42:22.680 --> 42:25.680
Even if a pastor comes to you and tells you something,

42:25.680 --> 42:27.680
just because that pastor told you something,

42:27.680 --> 42:30.680
it doesn't mean that that pastor is telling the truth.

42:30.680 --> 42:34.680
So when I was told this bit of information,

42:34.680 --> 42:38.680
I just dismissed it because I'm not going to take the accusation

42:38.680 --> 42:41.680
against an elder by one witness.

42:41.720 --> 42:44.720
But as soon as those guys heard that same thing that I heard,

42:44.720 --> 42:47.720
they're making...they're putting things on their Facebook pages

42:47.720 --> 42:49.720
telling you how they believe the kids.

42:49.720 --> 42:51.720
Now they believe somebody else.

42:51.720 --> 42:55.720
They believe their pastor sending pastors what they did

42:55.720 --> 42:59.720
without thinking about how to judge correctly.

42:59.720 --> 43:01.720
Turn to Numbers, chapter 32.

43:01.720 --> 43:03.720
Numbers, chapter 32.

43:07.720 --> 43:09.720
Numbers, chapter 32.

43:11.720 --> 43:14.720
So is the new IFB the problem?

43:14.720 --> 43:16.720
That's what Verity's problem is?

43:16.720 --> 43:18.720
No, I mean, they...

43:18.720 --> 43:21.720
Look, Pastor Arman is coined the term new IFB.

43:21.720 --> 43:23.720
He coined the term.

43:23.720 --> 43:25.720
We call it that because of him.

43:25.720 --> 43:28.720
That was a new IFB church, and now it's definitely not that.

43:28.720 --> 43:32.720
It's called, we sit around and talk about the new IFB.

43:32.720 --> 43:36.720
That's...I mean, it's completely changed

43:36.720 --> 43:39.720
in what the mission was from the beginning.

43:39.760 --> 43:41.760
What made Verity great, their heart...

43:41.760 --> 43:43.760
Pastor Arman has preached some of the greatest sermons

43:43.760 --> 43:45.760
that I've ever heard.

43:45.760 --> 43:49.760
I will never...I will never, like, say that he didn't do

43:49.760 --> 43:51.760
great things for us because he did.

43:51.760 --> 43:56.760
But it's just the new IFB isn't your problem.

43:56.760 --> 43:59.760
It's like going against the new IFB was your problem

43:59.760 --> 44:01.760
and lying about people.

44:01.760 --> 44:03.760
That's the problem.

44:03.760 --> 44:05.760
So Numbers 32, 22 says,

44:05.800 --> 44:07.800
So it's talking about the...

44:07.800 --> 44:09.800
doing what you say you're going to do, basically.

44:09.800 --> 44:11.800
But it says,

44:15.800 --> 44:17.800
So when you don't do the things that you say you're going to do,

44:17.800 --> 44:19.800
you're sinning against the Lord.

44:19.800 --> 44:21.800
It says,

44:21.800 --> 44:23.800
That's a scary verse.

44:23.800 --> 44:25.800
That verse scares me.

44:25.800 --> 44:27.800
I'm going to be a little bit scared.

44:27.800 --> 44:29.800
I'm going to be a little bit scared.

44:29.800 --> 44:31.800
I'm going to be a little bit scared.

44:31.800 --> 44:33.800
I'm going to be a little bit scared.

44:33.840 --> 44:35.840
That verse scares me.

44:35.840 --> 44:37.840
And if you're afraid of God at all,

44:37.840 --> 44:39.840
that verse should scare you too.

44:39.840 --> 44:42.840
Because be sure your sin will find you out.

44:42.840 --> 44:45.840
That's like... does sin have its own agenda?

44:45.840 --> 44:48.840
It finds you out because God is going to make sure

44:48.840 --> 44:50.840
that the sin is found out.

44:50.840 --> 44:52.840
That's why.

44:52.840 --> 44:55.840
It's not sin, you know, just sin is like some entity or something.

44:55.840 --> 44:58.840
But your sin will find you out means that God's going to make

44:58.840 --> 45:00.840
sure that people find out about your sin.

45:00.880 --> 45:03.880
Especially when you're refusing to confess and forsake that sin

45:03.880 --> 45:07.880
and just continue to just keep doing it over and over again.

45:07.880 --> 45:09.880
It says,

45:09.880 --> 45:11.880
Build you your cities for your little ones

45:11.880 --> 45:13.880
and folds for your sheep

45:13.880 --> 45:16.880
and do that which have proceeded out of your mouth.

45:16.880 --> 45:20.880
So God really is a stickler about doing what you say you're going to do.

45:20.880 --> 45:22.880
So,

45:22.880 --> 45:24.880
Nehemiah chapter...

45:24.880 --> 45:26.880
We'll skip Nehemiah chapter.

45:26.880 --> 45:28.880
I'll just actually read Nehemiah 4-5.

45:28.920 --> 45:30.920
I'm going to turn to Genesis 3.

45:30.920 --> 45:32.920
Genesis 3, because I've got to hurry here.

45:32.920 --> 45:35.920
But Nehemiah 4-5 says,

45:35.920 --> 45:38.920
And cover not their iniquity

45:38.920 --> 45:41.920
and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee.

45:41.920 --> 45:44.920
For they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

45:44.920 --> 45:48.920
So this is when Sam, Belat, and Tobiah, and all them

45:48.920 --> 45:50.920
were trying to taunt the people of God

45:50.920 --> 45:52.920
when they were trying to build this wall.

45:52.920 --> 45:54.920
But,

45:54.960 --> 45:57.960
He's clearly preaching for them

45:57.960 --> 46:00.960
for God to not cover their iniquity.

46:00.960 --> 46:02.960
So when your iniquity is not covered,

46:02.960 --> 46:05.960
you've got trouble coming your way.

46:05.960 --> 46:07.960
And I'm not saying this is like some reprobate situation,

46:07.960 --> 46:09.960
but I'm just saying,

46:09.960 --> 46:12.960
God has His limits to the things that He's going to allow to be covered

46:12.960 --> 46:16.960
and God hearkened unto the prophet Nehemiah,

46:16.960 --> 46:18.960
well, whatever Nehemiah was,

46:18.960 --> 46:21.960
the governor of the building program there.

46:21.960 --> 46:23.960
So, here in Genesis 3-6,

46:24.000 --> 46:27.000
here's an example of the first people

46:27.000 --> 46:28.000
trying to cover their sin.

46:28.000 --> 46:31.000
I mean, this has been going on since the Garden of Eden, guys.

46:31.000 --> 46:32.000
It says,

46:32.000 --> 46:34.000
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food

46:34.000 --> 46:36.000
and that it was pleasant to the eyes

46:36.000 --> 46:38.000
and a tree to be desired to make one wise,

46:38.000 --> 46:40.000
she took of the fruit thereof

46:40.000 --> 46:43.000
and did eat and gave also unto her husband,

46:43.000 --> 46:44.000
and he did eat.

46:44.000 --> 46:47.000
So did he, did she had to like pull a gun to his head

46:47.000 --> 46:48.000
and say, eat the food?

46:48.000 --> 46:49.000
No.

46:49.000 --> 46:52.000
He just, she handed it to him and he ate it too.

46:52.040 --> 46:54.040
So he had a choice in the matter,

46:54.040 --> 46:55.040
whether to do it or not.

46:55.040 --> 46:56.040
And it says,

46:56.040 --> 46:57.040
And the eyes of them both were open

46:57.040 --> 46:59.040
and they knew that they were naked

46:59.040 --> 47:01.040
and they sewed fig leaves together

47:01.040 --> 47:03.040
and made themselves aprons.

47:03.040 --> 47:05.040
And they heard the voice of the Lord God

47:05.040 --> 47:07.040
calling in the garden in the cool of the day

47:07.040 --> 47:09.040
and Adam and his wife hid themselves

47:09.040 --> 47:11.040
from the presence of the Lord God

47:11.040 --> 47:12.040
among the trees of the garden.

47:12.040 --> 47:15.040
So, they sinned, they knew that they were naked,

47:15.040 --> 47:18.040
and so they tried to physically do something

47:18.040 --> 47:20.040
to cover up themselves,

47:20.040 --> 47:21.040
so because they knew they were naked,

47:21.080 --> 47:23.080
and then they tried to hide from God.

47:23.080 --> 47:26.080
This is like the opposite thing that you should do.

47:26.080 --> 47:29.080
When you know you're zeroed in on

47:29.080 --> 47:32.080
just confess and forsake, okay?

47:32.080 --> 47:34.080
But Adam doesn't do that.

47:34.080 --> 47:37.080
He blames Eve, his wife, for what he did.

47:37.080 --> 47:41.080
And then he blames God for giving him his wife.

47:41.080 --> 47:43.080
But who did he hold responsible,

47:43.080 --> 47:44.080
did God put up with that?

47:44.080 --> 47:48.080
Did God say, oh no, you know, you're right, Adam.

47:48.080 --> 47:49.080
I forgive you.

47:49.080 --> 47:50.080
You will not die.

47:50.120 --> 47:51.120
No, you will not die.

47:51.120 --> 47:54.120
No, he's like, he still condemns him

47:54.120 --> 47:58.120
for, and then death passes upon all men

47:58.120 --> 48:02.120
for all sin, so man is actually the one

48:02.120 --> 48:04.120
that is in trouble more than the woman is

48:04.120 --> 48:07.120
in this situation because he knew better.

48:07.120 --> 48:09.120
He was not beguiled.

48:09.120 --> 48:11.120
He just willingly partook.

48:11.120 --> 48:12.120
Amen.

48:12.120 --> 48:16.120
And they're both trying to hide their sins together.

48:16.120 --> 48:17.120
Ananias and Sapphira, same thing.

48:17.120 --> 48:19.120
They try to hide their sins,

48:19.160 --> 48:21.160
and then they're questioned independently

48:21.160 --> 48:23.160
of each other, and they drop dead

48:23.160 --> 48:25.160
because they lied to the Holy Ghost.

48:25.160 --> 48:28.160
So the best thing to do is to not hide among the trees,

48:28.160 --> 48:30.160
to sew yourself some little aprons

48:30.160 --> 48:31.160
and try to get away with what you're doing,

48:31.160 --> 48:34.160
but you need to confess and forsake your sin,

48:34.160 --> 48:36.160
and God's going to have mercy on you, right?

48:36.160 --> 48:41.160
And so Genesis 4.

48:41.160 --> 48:44.160
So as a result of this, the next generation

48:44.160 --> 48:46.160
has problems covering up their sin too.

48:46.200 --> 48:49.200
And Cain, he might have been somewhat

48:49.200 --> 48:50.200
of a little serial killer himself,

48:50.200 --> 48:53.200
but I'm somewhat of a serial killer myself.

48:53.200 --> 48:55.200
I don't know if he was a serial killer,

48:55.200 --> 48:56.200
but he was definitely a murderer.

48:56.200 --> 48:59.200
And it says in Genesis 4.1,

48:59.200 --> 49:01.200
And Adam knew Eve his wife,

49:01.200 --> 49:02.200
and she conceived him, bare Cain,

49:02.200 --> 49:04.200
and said, I've gotten a man from the Lord,

49:04.200 --> 49:06.200
and she again bare his brother Abel,

49:06.200 --> 49:08.200
and Abel was a keeper of sheep,

49:08.200 --> 49:10.200
but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

49:10.200 --> 49:12.200
In the process of time it came to pass

49:12.200 --> 49:14.200
that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground

49:14.240 --> 49:16.240
an offering unto the Lord,

49:16.240 --> 49:19.240
and Abel he also brought of the first things of the flock

49:19.240 --> 49:21.240
and of the fat thereof,

49:21.240 --> 49:23.240
and the Lord had respect unto Abel

49:23.240 --> 49:25.240
and to his offering.

49:25.240 --> 49:27.240
But unto Cain and to his offering

49:27.240 --> 49:28.240
he had not respect,

49:28.240 --> 49:29.240
and Cain was very wroth,

49:29.240 --> 49:30.240
and his countenance fell.

49:30.240 --> 49:31.240
And the Lord said unto Cain,

49:31.240 --> 49:32.240
Why art thou wroth,

49:32.240 --> 49:34.240
and why is thy countenance falling?

49:34.240 --> 49:36.240
If thou doest well,

49:36.240 --> 49:38.240
thou shalt thou not be accepted.

49:38.240 --> 49:39.240
And if thou doest not well,

49:39.240 --> 49:41.240
sin lieth at the door.

49:41.240 --> 49:43.240
And unto thee shall be his desire

49:43.280 --> 49:45.280
and thou shalt rule over him.

49:45.280 --> 49:47.280
And Cain talked with Abel his brother

49:47.280 --> 49:49.280
and it came to pass when they were in the field

49:49.280 --> 49:51.280
that Cain rose up against Abel his brother

49:51.280 --> 49:52.280
and slew him.

49:52.280 --> 49:53.280
And the Lord said unto Cain,

49:53.280 --> 49:55.280
Where is Abel thy brother?

49:55.280 --> 49:56.280
And he said, I know not.

49:56.280 --> 49:58.280
Am I my brother's keeper?

49:58.280 --> 50:00.280
So, I mean it doesn't say that he hid the body

50:00.280 --> 50:02.280
but he obviously did because where is he at?

50:02.280 --> 50:04.280
He's hidden.

50:04.280 --> 50:06.280
So he wants to cover up his sin.

50:06.280 --> 50:08.280
What do people do when they kill somebody?

50:08.280 --> 50:09.280
They want to cover it up, right?

50:09.280 --> 50:11.280
And so there's not a lot of people probably on the earth

50:11.280 --> 50:12.280
at this time.

50:12.320 --> 50:15.320
So it's not like, you know, you can just,

50:15.320 --> 50:16.320
oh, someone just disappears

50:16.320 --> 50:17.320
and you don't know where they went.

50:17.320 --> 50:18.320
Oh, where did they go?

50:18.320 --> 50:22.320
You know, this is the first born son,

50:22.320 --> 50:25.320
Cain getting rid of the second born son, Abel.

50:25.320 --> 50:28.320
And so he's like, where is he at?

50:28.320 --> 50:30.320
And he says, Am I my brother's keeper?

50:30.320 --> 50:32.320
And he said, What hast thou done?

50:32.320 --> 50:34.320
The voice of thy brother's blood cryeth unto me

50:34.320 --> 50:35.320
from the ground.

50:35.320 --> 50:37.320
And now art thou cursed from the earth

50:37.320 --> 50:41.320
which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood

50:41.360 --> 50:42.360
from my hand.

50:42.360 --> 50:44.360
When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth

50:44.360 --> 50:47.360
yield unto thee her strength, a fugitive and a vagabond,

50:47.360 --> 50:50.360
shalt thou be in the earth, and Cain sendeth the Lord

50:50.360 --> 50:52.360
my punishment is greater than I can bear.

50:52.360 --> 50:54.360
Behold, thou hast driven me out this day

50:54.360 --> 50:58.360
from the face of the earth, and from my face shall it be hid

50:58.360 --> 51:00.360
and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth

51:00.360 --> 51:03.360
and it shall come to pass that every one that findeth me

51:03.360 --> 51:04.360
shall slay me.

51:04.360 --> 51:07.360
So he said he can't bear this punishment.

51:07.360 --> 51:10.360
Well, maybe you shouldn't have tried to hide your sin then.

51:10.400 --> 51:12.400
Maybe when God asked you, What have you done?

51:12.400 --> 51:13.400
I killed my brother.

51:13.400 --> 51:17.400
I'm sorry, Lord, I got envious or whatever.

51:17.400 --> 51:18.400
He doesn't do that though.

51:18.400 --> 51:22.400
He hides his sin, he tries to, but God sees everything.

51:22.400 --> 51:23.400
He already knew what would happen.

51:23.400 --> 51:26.400
He's just questioning them to see what he's going to say.

51:26.400 --> 51:31.400
So we want God to have mercy on us in our life.

51:31.400 --> 51:34.400
But sometimes people are past the point of forgiveness

51:34.400 --> 51:37.400
like Nehemiah was talking about,

51:37.400 --> 51:38.400
and their sins can't be covered.

51:38.440 --> 51:43.440
I preached about this in 3 Samuel last Thursday night

51:43.440 --> 51:51.440
how there are no offering would be acceptable to cover

51:51.440 --> 51:54.440
for the sins of his reprobate sons.

51:54.440 --> 51:57.440
So I mean, there's a point that you can get past with God

51:57.440 --> 52:00.440
and obviously it's a very small percentage of people,

52:00.440 --> 52:01.440
but it's still true.

52:01.440 --> 52:06.440
So, but if we as Christians will confess our sins

52:06.480 --> 52:08.480
to God, He's going to forgive us.

52:08.480 --> 52:09.480
He's going to have mercy on us.

52:09.480 --> 52:11.480
You know, the Bible said, like tonight we're going to take

52:11.480 --> 52:12.480
the Lord's Supper.

52:12.480 --> 52:16.480
It says, Let a man examine himself and then partake.

52:16.480 --> 52:19.480
So we should be examining ourselves,

52:19.480 --> 52:22.480
where we're at as Christians, and not just,

52:22.480 --> 52:24.480
oh, let's just cover this one up for a while.

52:24.480 --> 52:28.480
You just bury that sin that you have instead of dealing with it

52:28.480 --> 52:30.480
because sometimes we just have to deal with it

52:30.480 --> 52:32.480
and confess and forsake those sins

52:32.480 --> 52:35.480
and God will have mercy on us.

52:35.520 --> 52:38.520
Look back at Proverbs chapter 28 verse 13,

52:38.520 --> 52:41.520
my second point, which is going to have to be fast,

52:41.520 --> 52:44.520
God's grace covers sins through forgiveness.

52:44.520 --> 52:46.520
So there's the bad covering up of sins,

52:46.520 --> 52:49.520
where you're covering up sins to get away with things,

52:49.520 --> 52:52.520
but look, God, everything is naked in God's eyes.

52:52.520 --> 52:55.520
You can't hide it anyway.

52:55.520 --> 52:58.520
In Revelation chapter 6, they ask the rocks

52:58.520 --> 53:00.520
and the mountains to fall on them

53:00.520 --> 53:02.520
because they don't want God's faith,

53:02.520 --> 53:04.520
they don't want to see the rocks fall on them

53:04.560 --> 53:06.560
because they don't want to see the wrath of the Lamb.

53:06.560 --> 53:08.560
They want to hide themselves from the wrath of the Lamb,

53:08.560 --> 53:09.560
but they can't.

53:09.560 --> 53:11.560
He can see through mountains,

53:11.560 --> 53:13.560
He can see through your little apron that you have on,

53:13.560 --> 53:17.560
He can see your skimpy apron bathing suit,

53:17.560 --> 53:19.560
He can see, you know,

53:19.560 --> 53:21.560
nothing is hidden from His eyes.

53:21.560 --> 53:23.560
He can see everything.

53:23.560 --> 53:25.560
And the reason I say that is because

53:25.560 --> 53:29.560
Adam and Eve, they try to cover themselves

53:29.560 --> 53:32.560
with aprons and with plants,

53:32.600 --> 53:35.600
which obviously is a picture of them trying to do works,

53:35.600 --> 53:37.600
right, to cover up.

53:37.600 --> 53:40.600
But, you know, God covered them with coats of skins

53:40.600 --> 53:43.600
and is like, here's the real covering that you need,

53:43.600 --> 53:44.600
and that represents what?

53:44.600 --> 53:47.600
The blood, the blood of Christ.

53:47.600 --> 53:50.600
And so that's the only way we can truly get our sins covered.

53:50.600 --> 53:52.600
If you're not saved this morning,

53:52.600 --> 53:54.600
then your sins are not covered

53:54.600 --> 53:56.600
and you're under God's wrath,

53:56.600 --> 53:58.600
whether you like that or not.

53:58.600 --> 54:00.600
You know, if you die unsaved, you're going to die

54:00.640 --> 54:02.640
and you're going to split hell wide open,

54:02.640 --> 54:04.640
you're going to go straight to hell.

54:04.640 --> 54:06.640
And what a sad testimony it is when someone said,

54:06.640 --> 54:08.640
well, I've been going to such-and-such church

54:08.640 --> 54:12.640
for 40 years and they're still lost.

54:12.640 --> 54:14.640
I mean, it's sad. That's sad.

54:14.640 --> 54:16.640
And people will say, well,

54:16.640 --> 54:17.640
this is just what I've always believed.

54:17.640 --> 54:19.640
This is what my family believes.

54:19.640 --> 54:21.640
Those are not excuses.

54:21.640 --> 54:24.640
You have to own up and you have to get saved the right way.

54:24.640 --> 54:26.640
But we're back in our verse there.

54:26.640 --> 54:28.640
It says in Proverbs 28 verse 13, it says,

54:28.680 --> 54:31.680
David covereth his sins shall not prosper.

54:31.680 --> 54:33.680
So we already saw that in point number one.

54:33.680 --> 54:35.680
Look, Cain didn't prosper.

54:35.680 --> 54:37.680
And Adam and Eve didn't prosper

54:37.680 --> 54:39.680
when they tried to cover their sins.

54:39.680 --> 54:41.680
And look, nobody is going to prosper

54:41.680 --> 54:43.680
when they try to cover up their sins.

54:43.680 --> 54:45.680
David tried to cover up his sins.

54:45.680 --> 54:47.680
He tried. He even had somebody killed for it.

54:47.680 --> 54:50.680
But when he was confronted with it,

54:50.680 --> 54:52.680
he did the right thing though.

54:52.680 --> 54:55.680
And he didn't try to cover up any further.

54:55.680 --> 54:57.680
And he was punished for it.

54:57.720 --> 54:58.720
Severely.

54:58.720 --> 55:01.720
So Proverbs 28 verse 13 says,

55:01.720 --> 55:03.720
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper,

55:03.720 --> 55:05.720
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them

55:05.720 --> 55:07.720
shall have mercy.

55:07.720 --> 55:09.720
So the second part of this sermon

55:09.720 --> 55:11.720
is talking about God's mercy

55:11.720 --> 55:12.720
when we what?

55:12.720 --> 55:14.720
Confess and forsake those sins.

55:14.720 --> 55:17.720
So look, everybody has sin in their life.

55:17.720 --> 55:18.720
Everybody does.

55:18.720 --> 55:21.720
But again, we should always be trying to work

55:21.720 --> 55:25.720
towards the goal of getting sin out of our lives.

55:25.760 --> 55:26.760
And the longer we're Christians,

55:26.760 --> 55:28.760
the better at it we should be.

55:28.760 --> 55:30.760
But you know, there's some of those ones

55:30.760 --> 55:31.760
that are the high places in our lives.

55:31.760 --> 55:33.760
The ones that you don't want to tear down.

55:33.760 --> 55:35.760
You know, the pair of pants

55:35.760 --> 55:36.760
that the ladies have in their closet

55:36.760 --> 55:37.760
that they just want

55:37.760 --> 55:38.760
or are waiting to break out

55:38.760 --> 55:40.760
when they get a chance.

55:40.760 --> 55:42.760
I like to use that one.

55:42.760 --> 55:43.760
It's just funny to me.

55:43.760 --> 55:45.760
But guys, you know,

55:45.760 --> 55:47.760
we have our own little things that we like to,

55:47.760 --> 55:50.760
our own high places that we don't want to tear down.

55:50.760 --> 55:52.760
And like those high places that

55:52.760 --> 55:53.760
were never torn down

55:53.800 --> 55:55.800
is a picture of basically,

55:55.800 --> 55:57.800
yeah, they were right with God to a certain extent,

55:57.800 --> 55:59.800
but there's always something in their life

55:59.800 --> 56:00.800
that was jamming them up.

56:00.800 --> 56:04.800
So turn to, well, I'm just going to go ahead

56:04.800 --> 56:06.800
and read Psalm 32,

56:06.800 --> 56:08.800
but you go to Romans 4, 6.

56:08.800 --> 56:11.800
And this is what Romans 4 is quoted from.

56:11.800 --> 56:12.800
Psalm 32 is,

56:12.800 --> 56:15.800
Psalm of David blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven

56:15.800 --> 56:17.800
and whose sin is covered.

56:17.800 --> 56:21.800
Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity

56:21.840 --> 56:24.840
and in whose spirit there is no guile.

56:24.840 --> 56:29.840
So David here is saying this truth also.

56:29.840 --> 56:31.840
Hey, blessed is those whose sins are forgiven

56:31.840 --> 56:33.840
and sin is covered,

56:33.840 --> 56:34.840
because everybody has sin.

56:34.840 --> 56:37.840
But you know, if you're not saved, you're not blessed.

56:37.840 --> 56:39.840
And if you're saved and you're not confessing

56:39.840 --> 56:42.840
and going to God with your sins,

56:42.840 --> 56:46.840
then he's going to whip you.

56:46.840 --> 56:47.840
So, you know, spirit,

56:47.840 --> 56:48.840
I'm not saying he's going to come down

56:48.840 --> 56:49.840
with a literal paddle

56:49.880 --> 56:51.880
and whip you or a whip,

56:51.880 --> 56:53.880
but it's going to be things done in your life.

56:53.880 --> 56:57.880
And you'll know this is God chasing me.

56:57.880 --> 56:58.880
This is God dealing with me.

56:58.880 --> 57:00.880
And he doesn't really want to do that.

57:00.880 --> 57:02.880
You know, like, I think in parents,

57:02.880 --> 57:04.880
we get this from God

57:04.880 --> 57:06.880
where we want to give our kids a pass

57:06.880 --> 57:07.880
when they do something.

57:07.880 --> 57:09.880
We don't always want to spank them.

57:09.880 --> 57:10.880
And it's like that's,

57:10.880 --> 57:13.880
but that's something that God puts into us as mankind

57:13.880 --> 57:15.880
because, you know, most people,

57:15.880 --> 57:17.880
but some people just to an extreme

57:17.920 --> 57:19.920
just let their kids get away with stuff,

57:19.920 --> 57:20.920
and that's wrong.

57:20.920 --> 57:23.920
But we should be long-suffering with our kids.

57:23.920 --> 57:24.920
We should teach them.

57:24.920 --> 57:27.920
We should give them grace in times

57:27.920 --> 57:28.920
and just tell them,

57:28.920 --> 57:29.920
hey, but the next time you do that,

57:29.920 --> 57:31.920
it's going to be the cord.

57:31.920 --> 57:32.920
No, I'm just kidding.

57:32.920 --> 57:35.920
It's going to be the belt.

57:35.920 --> 57:37.920
It's going to be, you know, something.

57:37.920 --> 57:38.920
It could be the cord.

57:38.920 --> 57:39.920
I don't know.

57:39.920 --> 57:40.920
I'm teasing.

57:40.920 --> 57:45.920
But anyway, so you're in Romans 4, 6.

57:45.960 --> 57:46.960
Romans 4, 6 it says,

57:46.960 --> 57:50.960
even as David also described with the blessedness of the man

57:50.960 --> 57:54.960
unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.

57:54.960 --> 57:57.960
So look, we're not saved by our works.

57:57.960 --> 57:59.960
You know, confessing and forsaking our sin,

57:59.960 --> 58:01.960
like a lot of people that we talk to at doors,

58:01.960 --> 58:05.960
they'll say, well, as long as I, you know, repent,

58:05.960 --> 58:07.960
I'm still going to go to heaven.

58:07.960 --> 58:09.960
But then I ask it, well, what if you die sinning?

58:09.960 --> 58:12.960
What if, like, the last act you do on this earth is sinning?

58:12.960 --> 58:14.960
And most people probably don't think about that,

58:15.000 --> 58:18.000
but how many people do you think have died sinning?

58:18.000 --> 58:20.000
There's probably been a lot of people that God's just like,

58:20.000 --> 58:23.000
all right, last chance, you're done.

58:23.000 --> 58:26.000
Heart attack, you know, or whatever.

58:26.000 --> 58:28.000
Or like King Saul, you know,

58:28.000 --> 58:30.000
he made sure he was killed on the battlefield

58:30.000 --> 58:32.000
and what was his last thing that he did?

58:32.000 --> 58:35.000
He sinned by killing himself on the battlefield

58:35.000 --> 58:36.000
because, I mean, obviously,

58:36.000 --> 58:38.000
he didn't want the Philistines to do weird things to him,

58:38.000 --> 58:42.000
but he died sinning.

58:42.040 --> 58:44.040
And so it's possible to die sinning,

58:44.040 --> 58:46.040
but some people think that if you died sinning,

58:46.040 --> 58:49.040
you'd go to hell because, oh, you didn't ask for forgiveness.

58:49.040 --> 58:51.040
Well, this is like, God's not like the genie in the bottle

58:51.040 --> 58:53.040
that you have to just rub the lamp every time

58:53.040 --> 58:54.040
that you do something wrong.

58:54.040 --> 58:56.040
Forgive me, Lord, forgive me, Lord.

58:56.040 --> 58:58.040
Give me this, give me that, give me that.

58:58.040 --> 59:00.040
Look, that's not how God is.

59:00.040 --> 59:04.040
But he will forgive us sin when we ask him,

59:04.040 --> 59:06.040
and when we get right with him,

59:06.040 --> 59:08.040
he wants us to get right with him.

59:08.080 --> 59:14.080
I mean, don't go too long with trying to get right with him.

59:14.080 --> 59:16.080
Don't go too long where you're just not on your knees

59:16.080 --> 59:18.080
begging him for mercy

59:18.080 --> 59:21.080
because we all do things that we shouldn't do.

59:21.080 --> 59:22.080
It's just a fact.

59:22.080 --> 59:25.080
So don't act like you're the only one

59:25.080 --> 59:28.080
that's sinless in this room or something.

59:28.080 --> 59:32.080
Yeah, we're in Romans 4, 6, and 7.

59:32.080 --> 59:34.080
It says, saying,

59:34.120 --> 59:35.120
saying,

59:43.120 --> 59:45.120
See, your sins are,

59:45.120 --> 59:48.120
if you're saved, your sins are already forgiven

59:48.120 --> 59:50.120
and your sins are already covered

59:50.120 --> 59:52.120
and you're blessed

59:52.120 --> 59:54.120
because God will not impute sin.

59:54.120 --> 59:58.120
And this is, but this is talking about your overall,

59:58.120 --> 01:00:00.120
your overall in Christ.

01:00:00.120 --> 01:00:02.120
You know, because you can die sinning.

01:00:02.160 --> 01:00:03.160
But you know what?

01:00:03.160 --> 01:00:05.160
You're going to go straight to heaven.

01:00:05.160 --> 01:00:07.160
You just messed up to the point

01:00:07.160 --> 01:00:09.160
where God just took you off the planet

01:00:09.160 --> 01:00:11.160
because he had no more use for you.

01:00:11.160 --> 01:00:15.160
Turn to 1 John, 1 John 1.

01:00:19.160 --> 01:00:21.160
Now look, we want to get mercy.

01:00:21.160 --> 01:00:25.160
Look, this is the, right here is the formula

01:00:25.160 --> 01:00:28.160
of going to God and getting mercy.

01:00:28.160 --> 01:00:29.160
And this is not talking about salvation.

01:00:29.200 --> 01:00:31.200
This is talking about having,

01:00:31.200 --> 01:00:34.200
it's kind of like when you do something wrong

01:00:34.200 --> 01:00:36.200
to your brother or sister

01:00:36.200 --> 01:00:39.200
or you break your parents' rules

01:00:39.200 --> 01:00:41.200
or something when you're growing up.

01:00:43.200 --> 01:00:46.200
That, you know, if you ask your parents to forgive you

01:00:46.200 --> 01:00:47.200
for not cleaning your room

01:00:47.200 --> 01:00:48.200
when you said you were going to,

01:00:48.200 --> 01:00:50.200
they're going to forgive you in most cases

01:00:50.200 --> 01:00:51.200
unless they're just weird or whatever.

01:00:51.200 --> 01:00:54.200
But, you know, or maybe it takes a little bit of time

01:00:54.200 --> 01:00:56.200
to calm down.

01:00:56.240 --> 01:00:58.240
But, you know, if we,

01:00:58.240 --> 01:01:00.240
I think it's a lot better as children

01:01:00.240 --> 01:01:01.240
if you just go and tell your parents,

01:01:01.240 --> 01:01:02.240
hey, I did this wrong,

01:01:02.240 --> 01:01:05.240
instead of them having to beat it out of you or something.

01:01:05.240 --> 01:01:07.240
What did you do?

01:01:07.240 --> 01:01:09.240
Confess, you know.

01:01:10.240 --> 01:01:12.240
Like parents just,

01:01:12.240 --> 01:01:13.240
and there's a lot of times when I would just say,

01:01:13.240 --> 01:01:15.240
hey, if you just tell me the truth,

01:01:15.240 --> 01:01:17.240
then you're not going to get in trouble.

01:01:17.240 --> 01:01:19.240
And I really meant that.

01:01:19.240 --> 01:01:20.240
At least you're not going to get in trouble

01:01:20.240 --> 01:01:22.240
as much as you were going to get in trouble.

01:01:22.240 --> 01:01:24.240
But see, look, God's like that too.

01:01:24.280 --> 01:01:25.280
Even though He has mercy on us

01:01:25.280 --> 01:01:27.280
when we confess and forgive,

01:01:27.280 --> 01:01:29.280
it doesn't mean there's not consequences to what we did.

01:01:29.280 --> 01:01:32.280
So if we think there's no consequences every time,

01:01:32.280 --> 01:01:34.280
just we just have to rub the lamp or something,

01:01:34.280 --> 01:01:36.280
that's not what this is.

01:01:36.280 --> 01:01:38.280
But look what it says though.

01:01:38.280 --> 01:01:39.280
It says in verse 6,

01:01:39.280 --> 01:01:40.280
it says,

01:01:40.280 --> 01:01:41.280
If we say we have fellowship with Him

01:01:41.280 --> 01:01:42.280
and walk in darkness,

01:01:42.280 --> 01:01:44.280
we lie and do not the truth.

01:01:44.280 --> 01:01:45.280
But if we walk in the light,

01:01:45.280 --> 01:01:46.280
as He is in the light,

01:01:46.280 --> 01:01:48.280
we have fellowship one with another

01:01:48.280 --> 01:01:50.280
and the blood of Jesus Christ,

01:01:50.280 --> 01:01:53.280
His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

01:01:54.280 --> 01:01:56.280
Look, that covers us.

01:01:56.280 --> 01:01:58.280
His blood covers our sin.

01:01:58.280 --> 01:01:59.280
It says,

01:01:59.280 --> 01:02:00.280
If we say we have no sin,

01:02:00.280 --> 01:02:01.280
we deceive ourselves

01:02:01.280 --> 01:02:04.280
and the truth is not in us.

01:02:04.280 --> 01:02:05.280
It doesn't mean you're not saved.

01:02:05.280 --> 01:02:08.280
It just means that you're lacking truth in your life

01:02:08.280 --> 01:02:11.280
and you're deceiving yourself by saying you don't have sin.

01:02:11.280 --> 01:02:13.280
Oh, that's not a sin.

01:02:13.280 --> 01:02:16.280
The Bible words chapter and verse on that,

01:02:16.280 --> 01:02:17.280
that that's sin.

01:02:17.280 --> 01:02:20.280
Well, I mean, some things,

01:02:20.280 --> 01:02:21.280
you might not think it's sin

01:02:21.280 --> 01:02:23.280
because you want to just keep getting away with it.

01:02:23.320 --> 01:02:24.320
You know, you can make excuses.

01:02:24.320 --> 01:02:27.320
People make excuses for themselves all the time

01:02:27.320 --> 01:02:28.320
about the things that they do.

01:02:28.320 --> 01:02:31.320
Well, yeah, but that's not, yeah, it is.

01:02:31.320 --> 01:02:33.320
Instead of just having a hard heart about it,

01:02:33.320 --> 01:02:34.320
just confess.

01:02:34.320 --> 01:02:35.320
It says,

01:02:35.320 --> 01:02:36.320
If we confess our sins,

01:02:36.320 --> 01:02:39.320
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

01:02:39.320 --> 01:02:42.320
and to cleanse us from some of the unrighteousness.

01:02:42.320 --> 01:02:43.320
Is that what it says?

01:02:43.320 --> 01:02:45.320
No, it says all unrighteousness.

01:02:45.320 --> 01:02:48.320
So that's all we have to do is go to God

01:02:48.320 --> 01:02:50.320
and ask Him to forgive us.

01:02:50.320 --> 01:02:51.320
And it says,

01:02:51.360 --> 01:02:52.360
He's faithful.

01:02:52.360 --> 01:02:53.360
We're not faithful.

01:02:53.360 --> 01:02:54.360
He's faithful.

01:02:54.360 --> 01:02:55.360
But, you know, we should be faithful

01:02:55.360 --> 01:02:58.360
at least to go and confess our sins, at least.

01:02:58.360 --> 01:03:02.360
And He's just, He's faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

01:03:02.360 --> 01:03:04.360
And He wants to cleanse us from that unrighteousness.

01:03:04.360 --> 01:03:05.360
It says,

01:03:05.360 --> 01:03:07.360
If we say that we have not sinned,

01:03:07.360 --> 01:03:10.360
we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

01:03:10.360 --> 01:03:11.360
So don't go around just saying,

01:03:11.360 --> 01:03:12.360
I haven't sinned, I haven't sinned.

01:03:12.360 --> 01:03:14.360
Just admit what you've done

01:03:14.360 --> 01:03:17.360
and confess it and forsake it.

01:03:17.360 --> 01:03:18.360
First Peter chapter four,

01:03:18.400 --> 01:03:19.400
almost done here.

01:03:19.400 --> 01:03:20.400
We've got two minutes.

01:03:20.400 --> 01:03:22.400
I don't know if it's going to be two minutes,

01:03:22.400 --> 01:03:24.400
but it's going to be quick.

01:03:24.400 --> 01:03:25.400
All right.

01:03:25.400 --> 01:03:29.400
And above all things have fervent charity,

01:03:29.400 --> 01:03:32.400
1 Peter 4, 8, among yourselves,

01:03:32.400 --> 01:03:36.400
for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

01:03:36.400 --> 01:03:38.400
And so, like, does our good,

01:03:38.400 --> 01:03:41.400
do our good works have some sort of favor with God?

01:03:41.400 --> 01:03:43.400
Well, the Bible says right here,

01:03:43.440 --> 01:03:45.440
I'm not saying that you just do good works

01:03:45.440 --> 01:03:46.440
and you're going to get saved,

01:03:46.440 --> 01:03:48.440
that you're saved because of your good works.

01:03:48.440 --> 01:03:49.440
That's not what it's saying.

01:03:49.440 --> 01:03:51.440
But God will have mercy on us

01:03:51.440 --> 01:03:53.440
when we have mercy on other people.

01:03:53.440 --> 01:03:54.440
Hey, you got saved by someone,

01:03:54.440 --> 01:03:56.440
why don't you go out and get somebody else saved?

01:03:56.440 --> 01:03:57.440
That's love.

01:03:57.440 --> 01:03:59.440
That's charity.

01:03:59.440 --> 01:04:00.440
Doing things for people

01:04:00.440 --> 01:04:01.440
that can't do things back for you,

01:04:01.440 --> 01:04:03.440
that's love, that's charity.

01:04:03.440 --> 01:04:06.440
That's something that God has done for you.

01:04:06.440 --> 01:04:08.440
And so, I'm going to go ahead and say,

01:04:08.440 --> 01:04:09.440
I'm going to go ahead and say,

01:04:09.440 --> 01:04:10.440
I'm going to go ahead and say,

01:04:10.480 --> 01:04:11.480
That's love, that's charity.

01:04:11.480 --> 01:04:14.480
That's something that God,

01:04:14.480 --> 01:04:18.480
he's not going to necessarily give you all the smoke

01:04:18.480 --> 01:04:20.480
for the things that you're doing wrong.

01:04:20.480 --> 01:04:22.480
So, James chapter 5, verse 19,

01:04:22.480 --> 01:04:24.480
James 5, 19, the Bible says,

01:04:24.480 --> 01:04:29.480
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth

01:04:29.480 --> 01:04:30.480
and one convert him,

01:04:30.480 --> 01:04:33.480
let him know that he which converted the sinner

01:04:33.480 --> 01:04:36.480
from the error of his way shall save a soul from death

01:04:36.480 --> 01:04:39.480
and shall hide a multitude of sins.

01:04:39.520 --> 01:04:42.520
So, helping people get right with God.

01:04:42.520 --> 01:04:44.520
And look, my intention this morning

01:04:44.520 --> 01:04:46.520
wasn't to just try to beat up on verity,

01:04:46.520 --> 01:04:47.520
beat up on pastor minutes.

01:04:47.520 --> 01:04:50.520
It's not what I'm, you know, beat up on all these people.

01:04:50.520 --> 01:04:56.520
But, you know, in the sake of helping convert someone

01:04:56.520 --> 01:04:57.520
from the error of their way,

01:04:57.520 --> 01:04:59.520
that's what the purpose of Bible preaching is

01:04:59.520 --> 01:05:00.520
in a lot of ways.

01:05:00.520 --> 01:05:03.520
Is that we need to call things out,

01:05:03.520 --> 01:05:04.520
we can't just sweep them under the rug,

01:05:04.520 --> 01:05:07.520
it has to be brought to the surface.

01:05:07.560 --> 01:05:10.560
And then restoration can happen.

01:05:10.560 --> 01:05:13.560
So, but when you convert a sinner

01:05:13.560 --> 01:05:14.560
from the error of their way,

01:05:14.560 --> 01:05:16.560
you've saved their soul from death

01:05:16.560 --> 01:05:18.560
and shall hide a multitude of sins.

01:05:18.560 --> 01:05:21.560
So, it's a good thing to help people

01:05:21.560 --> 01:05:23.560
to realize where they're at.

01:05:23.560 --> 01:05:25.560
Galatians 6, 1, Galatians 6, 1,

01:05:25.560 --> 01:05:27.560
it's the last passage I'm going to have you turn to

01:05:27.560 --> 01:05:28.560
and we'll be done.

01:05:28.560 --> 01:05:31.560
Galatians 6, 1.

01:05:31.600 --> 01:05:34.600
Why is this sermon also,

01:05:34.600 --> 01:05:36.600
I mean, this sermon should be applicable to us too.

01:05:36.600 --> 01:05:37.600
We're taking the Lord's Supper,

01:05:37.600 --> 01:05:39.600
we're asked to examine ourselves

01:05:39.600 --> 01:05:42.600
and the Bible's given us the formula.

01:05:42.600 --> 01:05:44.600
Hey, confess your sins, I'm faithful and just,

01:05:44.600 --> 01:05:47.600
forgive them and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

01:05:47.600 --> 01:05:50.600
You know, when you have a lot of charity

01:05:50.600 --> 01:05:53.600
in your heart towards other people,

01:05:53.600 --> 01:05:55.600
it covers a multitude of sins.

01:05:55.600 --> 01:05:58.600
And when you convert a sinner from the error of their way,

01:05:58.640 --> 01:06:00.640
tell them their Ouija board's wrong.

01:06:00.640 --> 01:06:04.640
You know, I'm going to invite them to a barbecue first

01:06:04.640 --> 01:06:06.640
and then, you know, over time,

01:06:06.640 --> 01:06:08.640
I'm going to let them know that their Ouija board's wrong.

01:06:08.640 --> 01:06:10.640
No, just tell them right now.

01:06:10.640 --> 01:06:12.640
I mean, there's nothing wrong with that.

01:06:12.640 --> 01:06:13.640
Especially if somebody's saved.

01:06:13.640 --> 01:06:16.640
Obviously, people that are not saved,

01:06:16.640 --> 01:06:18.640
you know, telling them their Ouija board is wrong

01:06:18.640 --> 01:06:19.640
is just like, they're like,

01:06:19.640 --> 01:06:22.640
what, what are you talking about, you weird Christian?

01:06:22.640 --> 01:06:23.640
But someone that's saved that still has one,

01:06:23.640 --> 01:06:25.640
it's like, you need to get that out of their head.

01:06:25.640 --> 01:06:27.640
You know, you're not going to be able to do that.

01:06:27.680 --> 01:06:29.680
You need to get that out of the house.

01:06:29.680 --> 01:06:31.680
You know, get those demons out of here.

01:06:31.680 --> 01:06:33.680
They have a portal from underneath your bed

01:06:33.680 --> 01:06:34.680
where you're hiding it.

01:06:34.680 --> 01:06:37.680
So anyway, Galatians 6-1,

01:06:37.680 --> 01:06:39.680
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault,

01:06:39.680 --> 01:06:41.680
ye which are spiritual restore such a one

01:06:41.680 --> 01:06:42.680
in the spirit of meekness,

01:06:42.680 --> 01:06:45.680
considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

01:06:45.680 --> 01:06:46.680
Look, if it's a place that you're weak in,

01:06:46.680 --> 01:06:49.680
you're not the one to be the doctor.

01:06:49.680 --> 01:06:51.680
Okay, let somebody else help them.

01:06:51.680 --> 01:06:53.680
But, so we've got to consider,

01:06:53.680 --> 01:06:54.680
you've got to consider yourself

01:06:54.680 --> 01:06:56.680
whether that's going to make you fall too.

01:06:56.720 --> 01:07:00.720
But, if someone's overtaken in a fault,

01:07:00.720 --> 01:07:02.720
if you're spiritual,

01:07:02.720 --> 01:07:04.720
you should try to restore that person.

01:07:04.720 --> 01:07:06.720
And it says, bury one another's burdens

01:07:06.720 --> 01:07:08.720
and so fulfill the law of Christ.

01:07:08.720 --> 01:07:09.720
Look, we bury each other's burdens.

01:07:09.720 --> 01:07:10.720
Like, what does that mean?

01:07:10.720 --> 01:07:11.720
You help lift.

01:07:11.720 --> 01:07:14.720
Team lift is something that you see on boxes sometimes

01:07:14.720 --> 01:07:16.720
when a box is too heavy for you to pick up.

01:07:16.720 --> 01:07:19.720
And we should learn to help each other

01:07:19.720 --> 01:07:23.720
and be team members and help people lift.

01:07:23.720 --> 01:07:24.720
What?

01:07:24.760 --> 01:07:26.760
And so fulfill the law of Christ.

01:07:26.760 --> 01:07:28.760
For if a man think himself to be something

01:07:28.760 --> 01:07:30.760
when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

01:07:30.760 --> 01:07:35.760
But let every man prove his own work

01:07:35.760 --> 01:07:42.760
and then he shall have rejoicing in himself

01:07:42.760 --> 01:07:44.760
alone and not another.

01:07:44.760 --> 01:07:47.760
For every man shall bear his own burden.

01:07:47.760 --> 01:07:50.760
So, why is it saying to bear one another's burdens,

01:07:50.760 --> 01:07:52.760
but it says, but every man shall bear his own burden?

01:07:52.800 --> 01:07:55.800
Because ultimately, you're responsible for yourself.

01:07:55.800 --> 01:07:56.800
That's why.

01:07:56.800 --> 01:07:59.800
So, Christianity is a team sport.

01:07:59.800 --> 01:08:02.800
We're all working together for one purpose.

01:08:02.800 --> 01:08:07.800
But your individual efforts help the team out.

01:08:07.800 --> 01:08:09.800
It's like wrestling.

01:08:09.800 --> 01:08:11.800
You might have a couple people lose the match,

01:08:11.800 --> 01:08:14.800
and the points for the team in wrestling

01:08:14.800 --> 01:08:18.800
are gauged based upon the individual's performances.

01:08:18.800 --> 01:08:20.800
So, it's like that in Christianity, apparently, too.

01:08:20.840 --> 01:08:22.840
Every man is going to bear his own burdens.

01:08:22.840 --> 01:08:25.840
It's not like you can say, well, he's helping me lift the burden.

01:08:25.840 --> 01:08:28.840
He's going soul winning for me.

01:08:28.840 --> 01:08:31.840
Hey, if you can walk, if you can get around to the doors,

01:08:31.840 --> 01:08:32.840
you should go soul winning.

01:08:32.840 --> 01:08:33.840
All right?

01:08:33.840 --> 01:08:35.840
There's no excuse for you to not go.

01:08:35.840 --> 01:08:38.840
It says, and let him that is taught in the word

01:08:38.840 --> 01:08:42.840
communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

01:08:42.840 --> 01:08:43.840
Be not deceived.

01:08:43.840 --> 01:08:46.840
God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth,

01:08:46.840 --> 01:08:47.840
that shall he also reap.

01:08:47.840 --> 01:08:48.840
Hey, what's the point of that?

01:08:48.880 --> 01:08:49.880
That's good.

01:08:49.880 --> 01:08:51.880
You're going to reap good things back from that.

01:08:51.880 --> 01:08:54.880
But if you're not, then you're going to reap

01:08:54.880 --> 01:08:56.880
the things of the flesh.

01:08:56.880 --> 01:08:59.880
It says, for he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh

01:08:59.880 --> 01:09:00.880
reap corruption.

01:09:00.880 --> 01:09:03.880
But he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit

01:09:03.880 --> 01:09:05.880
reap life everlasting.

01:09:05.880 --> 01:09:07.880
And let us not be weary in well doing,

01:09:07.880 --> 01:09:10.880
for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

01:09:10.880 --> 01:09:12.880
Don't get discouraged.

01:09:12.880 --> 01:09:14.880
You're going to reap good things back from that.

01:09:14.920 --> 01:09:16.920
We shall reap if we faint not.

01:09:16.920 --> 01:09:19.920
Don't get discouraged by things that are going on around you

01:09:19.920 --> 01:09:22.920
or by what so and so is doing or what so and so happened.

01:09:22.920 --> 01:09:24.920
Look, a lot of times in situations like what's

01:09:24.920 --> 01:09:26.920
been going on down there, people get disillusioned

01:09:26.920 --> 01:09:27.920
with Christianity.

01:09:27.920 --> 01:09:29.920
And they're like, why are, you know,

01:09:29.920 --> 01:09:30.920
why is this all happening?

01:09:30.920 --> 01:09:32.920
Well, it doesn't really matter because we're supposed

01:09:32.920 --> 01:09:35.920
to be serving the Lord Jesus Christ and not men.

01:09:35.920 --> 01:09:37.920
We don't put men up on pedestals.

01:09:37.920 --> 01:09:38.920
Men fall.

01:09:38.920 --> 01:09:39.920
Men sin.

01:09:39.920 --> 01:09:40.920
Men do wrong.

01:09:40.920 --> 01:09:42.920
Follow them while they follow Christ.

01:09:42.960 --> 01:09:45.960
But don't just sit there and just get discouraged

01:09:45.960 --> 01:09:47.960
because it says, let us not be weary in well doing,

01:09:47.960 --> 01:09:49.960
for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

01:09:49.960 --> 01:09:50.960
Don't faint.

01:09:50.960 --> 01:09:52.960
That means don't fade away from Christianity.

01:09:52.960 --> 01:09:53.960
Don't leave.

01:09:53.960 --> 01:09:56.960
Don't, you know, like, it's like if you're all in a race,

01:09:56.960 --> 01:09:58.960
you know, you want to finish the race.

01:09:58.960 --> 01:10:00.960
The apostle Paul says he finished the race.

01:10:00.960 --> 01:10:02.960
He finished.

01:10:02.960 --> 01:10:05.960
And that's what's important for us to not get so discouraged

01:10:05.960 --> 01:10:06.960
about things like this.

01:10:06.960 --> 01:10:07.960
Look, it is discouraging.

01:10:07.960 --> 01:10:08.960
I understand.

01:10:08.960 --> 01:10:10.960
I've shed my tears about this.

01:10:10.960 --> 01:10:11.960
Like, literally.

01:10:12.000 --> 01:10:15.000
But, you know, we have to move on.

01:10:15.000 --> 01:10:16.000
We have to move forward.

01:10:16.000 --> 01:10:17.000
We have to push forward.

01:10:17.000 --> 01:10:21.000
Don't just get all, oh, no, all Christianity is bad.

01:10:21.000 --> 01:10:22.000
No, it's not.

01:10:22.000 --> 01:10:23.000
It's not.

01:10:23.000 --> 01:10:25.000
Christianity is good.

01:10:25.000 --> 01:10:28.000
Christianity is the best thing that we have in this world.

01:10:28.000 --> 01:10:31.000
It's the only thing holding back the darkness in this world.

01:10:31.000 --> 01:10:34.000
And you might not think it's holding it back, but it is.

01:10:34.000 --> 01:10:35.000
It is holding it back.

01:10:35.000 --> 01:10:38.000
And, you know, it's up to, you know, every man shall

01:10:38.000 --> 01:10:39.000
bear his own burdens.

01:10:39.000 --> 01:10:40.000
Yes.

01:10:40.040 --> 01:10:42.040
Why don't you bear your burdens then?

01:10:42.040 --> 01:10:45.040
And if somebody can help you with the burdens you have,

01:10:45.040 --> 01:10:46.040
that's great.

01:10:46.040 --> 01:10:48.040
But ultimately we're responsible for ourself

01:10:48.040 --> 01:10:50.040
and not for what other people do.

01:10:50.040 --> 01:10:54.040
It's not Matthew Stuckey's fault that he was a victim.

01:10:54.040 --> 01:10:55.040
Okay?

01:10:55.040 --> 01:10:57.040
Quit victim blaming people.

01:10:57.040 --> 01:10:58.040
It's not his fault.

01:10:58.040 --> 01:11:01.040
You're like, well, he should have done this

01:11:01.040 --> 01:11:02.040
and he should have done that.

01:11:02.040 --> 01:11:05.040
Well, you don't know the situation unless you're actually in it.

01:11:05.040 --> 01:11:07.040
So walk a mile.

01:11:07.040 --> 01:11:09.040
There's a term called walk a mile on my moccasins.

01:11:09.080 --> 01:11:11.080
Walk a mile on my moccasins or whatever, right?

01:11:11.080 --> 01:11:13.080
That's an old person's term, I guess.

01:11:13.080 --> 01:11:15.080
But what's moccasins?

01:11:17.080 --> 01:11:19.080
Native American shoes.

01:11:19.080 --> 01:11:20.080
No.

01:11:20.080 --> 01:11:23.080
But, you know, it's hard to judge a situation

01:11:23.080 --> 01:11:24.080
when you're not in it.

01:11:24.080 --> 01:11:28.080
You don't, I mean, you're not that person.

01:11:28.080 --> 01:11:31.080
So look, just do your best to take, you know,

01:11:31.080 --> 01:11:33.080
obviously we want to take care of other people,

01:11:33.080 --> 01:11:36.080
but ultimately we're responsible for our own stuff.

01:11:36.080 --> 01:11:37.080
Mankind.

01:11:37.120 --> 01:11:39.120
So the key differences in the covering,

01:11:39.120 --> 01:11:41.120
just to wrap it up here,

01:11:41.120 --> 01:11:44.120
that mankind likes to hide things.

01:11:44.120 --> 01:11:46.120
They like to conceal their sin.

01:11:46.120 --> 01:11:48.120
And concealing out of sin of fear or pride

01:11:48.120 --> 01:11:52.120
is condemned and brings failure every single time.

01:11:52.120 --> 01:11:56.120
But we have a God that covers our sins.

01:11:56.120 --> 01:11:58.120
It's not like the other religions.

01:11:58.120 --> 01:12:01.120
The other religions, it's like, was he good enough?

01:12:01.120 --> 01:12:02.120
Was he bad enough?

01:12:02.120 --> 01:12:04.120
No, they're all going, those people are,

01:12:04.120 --> 01:12:06.120
sorry, but they're all going to hell.

01:12:06.160 --> 01:12:07.160
It's not based upon our works.

01:12:07.160 --> 01:12:10.160
We have to put our faith in Jesus Christ to be saved.

01:12:10.160 --> 01:12:12.160
God covers sin through atonement

01:12:12.160 --> 01:12:14.160
by blotting those sins out

01:12:14.160 --> 01:12:17.160
and by removing them from his memory.

01:12:17.160 --> 01:12:18.160
He forgets them.

01:12:18.160 --> 01:12:20.160
I'm glad he does.

01:12:20.160 --> 01:12:24.160
So, and then, love as a covering.

01:12:24.160 --> 01:12:27.160
Christians cover sins by forgiving others,

01:12:27.160 --> 01:12:30.160
refusing to dwell on faults,

01:12:30.160 --> 01:12:33.160
and showing charity in soul,

01:12:33.160 --> 01:12:35.160
and, you know, some of those things are soul winning

01:12:35.200 --> 01:12:36.200
and, of course, just helping others

01:12:36.200 --> 01:12:38.200
that can't help, you know,

01:12:38.200 --> 01:12:39.200
can't do anything back for you.

01:12:39.200 --> 01:12:41.200
That's, you know, charity.

01:12:41.200 --> 01:12:45.200
So, and then true forgiveness requires confession.

01:12:45.200 --> 01:12:46.200
If you actually want to get forgiven

01:12:46.200 --> 01:12:47.200
for something that you're doing,

01:12:47.200 --> 01:12:49.200
you need to tell God that.

01:12:49.200 --> 01:12:51.200
You need to confess your sins to God.

01:12:51.200 --> 01:12:54.200
So, not to be saved, but to be right with him.

01:12:54.200 --> 01:12:57.200
Just like when your parents are upset with you,

01:12:57.200 --> 01:12:59.200
just tell them you're sorry.

01:12:59.200 --> 01:13:01.200
Don't be, don't get hard hearted.

01:13:01.200 --> 01:13:03.200
If your spouse does something against you,

01:13:03.200 --> 01:13:04.200
don't be hard hearted.

01:13:04.240 --> 01:13:06.240
Be willing to forgive.

01:13:06.240 --> 01:13:08.240
You know, we all have problems,

01:13:08.240 --> 01:13:11.240
and, you know, we need to,

01:13:11.240 --> 01:13:12.240
we need to stick it out.

01:13:12.240 --> 01:13:15.240
You made vows, keep them.

01:13:15.240 --> 01:13:19.240
And so God covers sins

01:13:19.240 --> 01:13:22.240
by not imputing iniquity to the believer.

01:13:22.240 --> 01:13:27.240
And if man forgives, they get forgiven.

01:13:27.240 --> 01:13:31.240
So when we forgive people that trespass against us,

01:13:31.280 --> 01:13:34.280
then God forgives us, our trespasses here too.

01:13:34.280 --> 01:13:36.280
And if you hold grudges and refuse to forgive,

01:13:36.280 --> 01:13:39.280
then God will not forgive you for those things.

01:13:39.280 --> 01:13:40.280
And you'll make sure that all the smoke

01:13:40.280 --> 01:13:43.280
that's coming to them is going to come to you also.

01:13:43.280 --> 01:13:45.280
And we reap what we sow.

01:13:45.280 --> 01:13:49.280
So, but let's not let these ugly things discourage us.

01:13:49.280 --> 01:13:50.280
And in the coming days,

01:13:50.280 --> 01:13:51.280
I'm sure there's going to be a lot more

01:13:51.280 --> 01:13:53.280
discouragement about it.

01:13:53.280 --> 01:13:57.280
But you just, look, keep your eyes on Jesus.

01:13:57.280 --> 01:14:00.280
Looking at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,

01:14:00.320 --> 01:14:03.320
Pastor Jimenez is not the author and finisher of your faith.

01:14:03.320 --> 01:14:04.320
Pastor Anderson is not the author

01:14:04.320 --> 01:14:06.320
and finisher of your faith.

01:14:06.320 --> 01:14:07.320
You know, Pastor Shelley is not

01:14:07.320 --> 01:14:09.320
the author and finisher of your faith.

01:14:09.320 --> 01:14:11.320
You know, whatever preacher you like

01:14:11.320 --> 01:14:12.320
is not the author and finisher of your faith.

01:14:12.320 --> 01:14:15.320
It's Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith.

01:14:15.320 --> 01:14:18.320
And we got to keep our eyes on him and him alone.

01:14:18.320 --> 01:14:21.320
And obviously we follow men that follow God,

01:14:21.320 --> 01:14:22.320
but if they fall off the cliff

01:14:22.320 --> 01:14:25.320
or if they fall into sin, that's their problem.

01:14:25.320 --> 01:14:27.320
They bear their own burdens.

01:14:27.320 --> 01:14:28.320
Yeah, we can try to lift them up

01:14:28.360 --> 01:14:30.360
and help them out, but, you know, eventually,

01:14:30.360 --> 01:14:33.360
but if they won't even confess what they've done,

01:14:33.360 --> 01:14:35.360
if they won't even tell people what they've done,

01:14:35.360 --> 01:14:37.360
they're still trying to hide it.

01:14:37.360 --> 01:14:43.360
And when you have the church that is helping

01:14:43.360 --> 01:14:45.360
cover those things up, that's not good.

01:14:45.360 --> 01:14:46.360
It's not good.

01:14:46.360 --> 01:14:49.360
And so, look, I'm not saying that people need to hear

01:14:49.360 --> 01:14:53.360
every gory detail, but there needs to be a reckoning

01:14:53.360 --> 01:14:55.360
about this.

01:14:55.360 --> 01:14:57.360
Quit trying to hide and cover things up.

01:14:57.400 --> 01:15:00.400
And then God's going to forgive you too, you know.

01:15:00.400 --> 01:15:02.400
Confess and forsake your sins,

01:15:02.400 --> 01:15:04.400
and God will forgive you.

01:15:04.400 --> 01:15:05.400
Let's pray.

01:15:05.400 --> 01:15:07.400
Lord, we thank you so much for the Bible.

01:15:07.400 --> 01:15:09.400
And I pray that you'd help us, Lord,

01:15:09.400 --> 01:15:11.400
even as the afternoon continues on,

01:15:11.400 --> 01:15:14.400
that we would examine the things in our lives

01:15:14.400 --> 01:15:16.400
that we need to get rid of

01:15:16.400 --> 01:15:17.400
and the things that we have faults in.

01:15:17.400 --> 01:15:20.400
And Lord, help us to confess those things before you.

01:15:20.400 --> 01:15:23.400
Help us to have unity in our church.

01:15:23.400 --> 01:15:25.400
And I pray that you would help us

01:15:25.440 --> 01:15:28.440
to really just think about the things that you've done for us,

01:15:28.440 --> 01:15:30.440
how you bled and died for us,

01:15:30.440 --> 01:15:34.440
and how your sins, or your blood covers us

01:15:34.440 --> 01:15:36.440
from all sins, Lord.

01:15:36.440 --> 01:15:38.440
And we thank you for all the people

01:15:38.440 --> 01:15:39.440
that came to church this morning.

01:15:39.440 --> 01:15:42.440
We pray that you just bless them all in a special way.

01:15:42.440 --> 01:15:44.440
In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
