Okay we're in Genesis chapter 11 this evening, we're continuing 03:23.420 --> 03:28.900 our Bible study with the book of Genesis and this chapter is a very interesting one, one 03:28.900 --> 03:32.380 that a lot of people know about because of the fact that it highlights what we would 03:32.380 --> 03:36.380 commonly refer to as the Tower of Babel and obviously that's not necessarily what it's 03:36.380 --> 03:40.900 called within the chapter but because it's taking place in the geographical location 03:40.900 --> 03:45.940 that we would consider today to be Iraq in the Bible it's considered Babylon that's why 03:45.940 --> 03:51.660 they refer to it as the Tower of Babel. So after the flood Noah's descendants were commanded 03:51.660 --> 03:56.980 to replenish the earth right? God blesses the womb, he blesses Noah and his family and 03:56.980 --> 04:00.980 he tells them to just go make a lot of babies, replenish the earth but instead of actually 04:00.980 --> 04:06.420 spreading into all the earth what the world ends up doing is essentially collecting together in 04:06.420 --> 04:13.420 Shinar which later on of course is Babylon, Iraq is what we consider today to be and they 04:13.420 --> 04:20.020 essentially gather there together, unified together in their rebellion against God and 04:20.020 --> 04:25.020 so God has to intervene by confounding the languages and this is essentially where we 04:25.020 --> 04:30.620 find the beginning of all different types of languages in all the world. Look at verse 04:30.620 --> 04:36.780 number one here, we're going to look at the fact that there's centralized power in Shinar. 04:36.780 --> 04:42.100 It says in verse number one of chapter 11, and the whole earth was of one language and 04:42.100 --> 04:45.900 of one speech. Now we don't know for sure, be on the shadow of a doubt, if there was 04:45.900 --> 04:51.060 various languages before the flood but obviously if you have one family surviving the flood 04:51.060 --> 04:55.540 there's only one language that's being spoken and so although there are many people in the 04:55.540 --> 04:59.980 world at this particular time there's only one language being spoken and so we have the 04:59.980 --> 05:05.060 world speaking one unified language. Obviously you know 06:25.420 --> 06:29.580 they're not going to be able to build the tower high enough to get to heaven it's somewhat 06:29.580 --> 06:34.660 ridiculous to think that maybe there was someone there who literally thought that they can build 06:34.740 --> 06:40.340 this tower construct it until it reaches heaven. You know it's just as ridiculous as a person 06:40.340 --> 06:45.300 today thinking that they can work their way to heaven right. As ridiculous and absurd as it would 06:45.300 --> 06:51.620 be for these guys to think that they can literally band together be in unity construct the tower and 06:51.620 --> 06:57.940 reach the eternals well in like manner is just as stupid and may I say even retarded for anybody 06:57.940 --> 07:03.820 to think that they can do any type of commandments that they can work their way into it to the 07:03.820 --> 07:08.500 eternal by their own righteousness. The Bible says not by works of righteousness which we have 07:23.980 --> 07:29.380 done but according to his mercy he saved us and the entire Bible obviously but more specifically 07:29.380 --> 07:37.420 the New Testament emphasizes the fact that salvation eternal life heaven can only be obtained 07:37.420 --> 07:42.860 through our faith in Jesus Christ. Why is that? Well because of the fact that it's our faith that 07:42.860 --> 07:48.340 gives us access to the righteousness of Jesus right. You know there's only one righteous person 07:48.340 --> 07:54.060 who has ever existed who is perfect in all ways and that's the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible 07:54.060 --> 07:59.020 makes it abundantly clear that it that we can't earn eternal life by our own righteousness because 07:59.020 --> 08:04.180 our righteousness are as filthy rags. So it doesn't matter how high our tower gets right. 08:04.180 --> 08:09.580 Doesn't matter how many people you know agree with us regarding the construction of the tower 08:09.580 --> 08:16.180 to make it to heaven. It doesn't matter if you have 1.8 million people a part of one religion 08:16.180 --> 08:22.700 thinking that they can work their way to heaven it's not gonna work and so this is a ridiculous 08:22.700 --> 08:28.660 attempt by mankind to thinking that they can earn eternal life or they can get to heaven based 08:28.660 --> 08:34.780 upon building this tower. You know what they forgot to recognize is the fact that you know 08:34.780 --> 08:40.300 the Lord which we know to be in the New Testament being Jesus Christ he is the ladder that gets us 08:40.300 --> 08:46.100 into heaven right. It's not by our own construction but rather through Jesus Christ. You know you 08:46.100 --> 08:51.340 think of the dream that Jacob had where there's a ladder from the earth reaching into heaven and 08:51.340 --> 08:57.740 the angels descending and ascending upon it that is Jesus Christ because in John chapter 1 we see 08:57.740 --> 09:03.180 that it's Jesus whose angels are descending upon and descending upon. It's essentially showing us 09:03.180 --> 09:08.680 that Jesus Christ is the ladder that gets us to heaven. We can only get to eternal life or get to 09:08.680 --> 09:15.020 heaven through Jesus. I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me. 09:15.020 --> 09:21.020 And so the tower represents man's attempt to work their way to heaven and folks make no mistake 09:21.020 --> 09:25.380 about it this is something we have constantly have to emphasize not just in church but we're 09:25.380 --> 09:31.460 out preaching the gospel because from the beginning this is what people have believed right. That 09:31.460 --> 09:37.780 somehow their morality can give them merit and grace with God and somehow their righteous works 09:37.780 --> 09:43.620 can earn them eternal life if they just do enough bond of peace meaning that we need to make 13:12.500 --> 13:17.620 sure that we are in agreement with the doctrines in this church you say what if we're not then go 13:17.620 --> 13:22.420 find a different church you're like what if I don't agree with you on this mess I like what you say 13:22.420 --> 13:26.180 about other stuff but when it comes to salvation I just don't agree then go find different tongues and tribes and nations would 22:33.300 --> 22:38.660 be in heaven right different various people from different walks of life different nations are 22:38.660 --> 22:44.820 going to believe on the Lord that is God's will he wants a variety of different people regardless 22:44.820 --> 22:50.740 of their ethnicity to be in heaven he does want the Indians to be in heaven okay he wants Jews to 22:50.740 --> 22:58.260 be in heaven he wants you know Iranians to be in heaven he wants Russians to be in heaven 22:58.820 --> 23:05.060 but he wants these nations to choose okay and so the tower of Babel said well what's wrong with 23:05.060 --> 23:11.780 the tower of Babel you know everyone agrees on one single objective to reach heaven here's the 23:11.780 --> 23:19.220 problem it's without God this is the major difference here that makes it extremely wicked 23:19.220 --> 23:26.020 and evil is that they are trying to do something that is good without God you understand what Christ is bad and so what this is is an 23:40.900 --> 23:46.420 objective for something that is good to reach the heavens and obviously they had other selfish 23:46.420 --> 23:51.780 desires which is to make a name for themselves but they had this objective to reach heaven but 23:51.780 --> 23:57.380 they wanted it without God and who do they have at the helm leading this project is Nimrod which 23:57.380 --> 24:04.900 is obviously a picture of the Antichrist okay and so it's important for us to recognize that although 24:04.900 --> 24:10.100 unity is important we don't want to just flippantly throw that word out there as though it's some sort 24:10.100 --> 24:16.980 of Christian virtue it's actually godless if you don't have biblical guidelines to guide it right 24:16.980 --> 24:23.780 we need to make sure that we are led by biblical standards and principles that tell us unity has 24:23.780 --> 24:30.420 to be obtained through the word of God and look even within Baptist churches 25:14.420 --> 25:19.220 can't come in here and try to say hey you need to put the star of remphan up or something 25:19.220 --> 25:24.420 we need to kind of remodel this place a little bit make it more judyizing or whatever you know 25:24.420 --> 25:30.820 that would be wrong and so there needs to be a difference between us and them the Bible says 25:30.820 --> 25:37.460 some have compassion making a difference making a distinction between the two and so that's important 25:37.460 --> 25:41.380 and look folks that's why labels are important right that's why when you came to this church it 25:41.380 --> 25:48.180 says first works Baptist church you know if if distinctions didn't matter then let's just all go 25:48.180 --> 25:53.620 to the Jehovah's Witness temple or whatever let's just go to the Morbid Tabernacle let's just go to 25:53.620 --> 25:57.380 some Pentecostal church because they say that they're Christians the reason we wouldn't go 25:57.380 --> 26:03.060 to places like that is because there a lot of them are cults who have transgressed the doctrines 26:03.060 --> 26:09.140 of Christ we want nothing to do with them okay very important go to Revelation chapter 13 if you would 26:09.140 --> 26:18.820 Revelation chapter 13 so what we have here is a hundred years after the flood you have humanity 26:19.380 --> 26:25.220 gathering together in Shinar they're dwelling in the land of Shinar and they come up with the 26:25.220 --> 26:30.900 objective to make a tower and a city or excuse me to make a city and a tower that will reach 26:30.900 --> 26:37.460 unto heaven because they don't want to be scattered in all the earth and we can surmise that Nimrod 26:37.460 --> 26:42.900 according to Genesis chapter 10 is the one responsible with heading up this this this 26:42.900 --> 26:48.260 project because it tells us that this is the beginning of his kingdom in Babel so it's possible 26:48.260 --> 26:54.180 that Nimrod was the one responsible for this so obviously this pictures represents man's attempt 26:54.180 --> 27:00.500 to work their way to heaven without God but it also foreshadows Satan's plan for centralized power 27:00.500 --> 27:07.940 okay and this is very important because this kind of gives us the first indicators here that Satan 27:08.980 --> 27:15.220 is seeking to create a unified people in this world again without God right and there's no 27:15.220 --> 27:20.580 coincidence that it's called the Tower of Babel it's in Babel and then you have what's called end 27:20.580 --> 27:28.340 times mystery Babylon okay that is essentially being used as a footstool in order to create 27:28.340 --> 27:34.660 the one world government one world financial system one world religion with the Antichrist 27:34.660 --> 27:39.540 at the helm heading the entire thing up look at Revelation 13 and verse number one it says and I 27:39.540 --> 27:45.060 stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise up out of the sea having seven heads and 27:45.940 --> 27:51.860 and upon his horns ten crowns and upon his heads the name of blasphemy and the beast which I saw 27:51.860 --> 27:55.940 was likened to a leopard and his feet were as the feet of a bear and his mouth is the mouth of a 27:55.940 --> 28:00.260 lion and the dragon give him his power in his seat and great authority now this is important 28:00.260 --> 28:05.940 in Revelation 13 you essentially have John describing this imagery that he's seen and it 28:05.940 --> 28:13.220 represents the Antichrist but it also represents his kingdom so when the Bible talks about the beast 28:13.220 --> 28:19.300 obviously we know it's referring to the man of sin the son of perdition but it also represents 28:19.300 --> 28:26.260 his kingdom okay and so we have this beast coming up out of the sea and it's somewhat of a conglomerate 28:26.260 --> 28:32.820 of various beasts right different creatures we have the leopard we have the lion we have the bear 28:32.820 --> 28:39.300 and then the dragon who obviously is satan is the one who's giving this beast the power to reign over 28:39.300 --> 28:44.180 the world now what's interesting about this is that back in the book of Daniel you have some 28:44.180 --> 28:49.220 prophetic imagery being given to Daniel and it's very similar to what we see here in Revelation 13 28:49.220 --> 28:56.500 right you have the difference being is that in the vision of Daniel you have various beasts coming 28:56.500 --> 29:02.500 up out of the sea so these are individual kingdoms right starting off with Babylon and then you go 29:02.500 --> 29:07.460 into the Medo-Persian Empire the Grecian Empire and then ultimately it's the Roman Empire all 29:07.460 --> 29:15.140 represented by a different animal but it starts off with the the Babylonians right Nebuchadnezzar 29:15.140 --> 29:21.140 who is essentially reigning there and he has a very powerful kingdom so when you look at that 29:21.140 --> 29:26.020 and you compare to what we see in Revelation chapter 13 Revelation 13 is a conglomerate 29:26.020 --> 29:32.740 of those previous kingdoms it's almost like you know the Antichrist is actually accomplishing 29:32.740 --> 29:38.740 what previous kingdoms failed to do right you have the kingdom of Babylon the Medo-Persian Empire 29:38.740 --> 29:45.140 the Grecian Empire all these empires sought to take over the world okay and to overcome the 29:45.140 --> 29:50.980 world and to a certain degree they kind of did right they essentially conquered the known world 29:50.980 --> 29:57.220 at that time but they didn't really succeed at conquering the entire world under its empire for 29:57.220 --> 30:03.780 a long period of time whereas the Antichrist is actually going to succeed in ruling over the 30:03.780 --> 30:08.340 entire world this is not something that is just localized because a lot of times people will look 30:08.340 --> 30:13.460 at Revelation 13 like the Preterists will look at Revelation 13 and the events and end times prophecy 30:13.460 --> 30:19.460 and just think well this is already past this is more of a local thing but no Revelation 13 30:19.460 --> 30:27.060 debunks that because this is an empire on a global scale the Bible says that all the people 30:27.060 --> 30:33.220 in the world worship the beast understand implying that it's just all nations tongues 30:33.220 --> 30:39.940 that are under the delusional influence of the Antichrist okay the point that I'm making here 30:39.940 --> 30:47.140 is that what we see here is a progression of Satan's attempt to unify the world under a 30:47.140 --> 30:54.260 particular empire okay it starts off in Genesis 11 with the Tower of Babel under Nimrod that fails 30:54.980 --> 31:00.900 later on what we see is the Babylonian Empire take over that fail fails then the Spirit of Babylon 31:00.900 --> 31:04.900 goes to the Medo-Persians then it goes to the Grecians and then the Romans take over and the 31:04.900 --> 31:11.060 Romans they actually keep this power for quite some time right but even then it fails as well 31:11.540 --> 31:18.340 and now we have a new Babylon okay because in the book of Revelation chapter 17 and 18 31:18.340 --> 31:24.020 talk about mystery Babylon which is going to be an empire that the Antichrist utilizes 31:24.580 --> 31:30.340 in order to establish his one world government one world financial system one world religion 31:31.060 --> 31:36.980 now the only similarities that we actually have when it comes to the Antichrist's empire compared 31:36.980 --> 31:43.140 to the empires that came before him is the amount of time that he rules for because a lot of these 31:43.140 --> 31:49.060 empires didn't necessarily they didn't necessarily have a whole lot of longevity within them they 31:49.060 --> 31:55.140 end up getting destroyed and they didn't you know reign for for for long periods of time and the 31:55.140 --> 32:00.340 same goes with the empire of the Antichrist his empire literally only lasts for three and a half 32:00.340 --> 32:06.020 years because when you look at Daniel's 70th week which is the seven-year period highlighted in the 32:06.020 --> 32:10.900 book of Revelation it's composed of three and a half years of tribulation three and a half years 32:10.900 --> 32:17.140 of God's wrath and those seven years that's being highlighted in the book of Revelation you know the 32:17.140 --> 32:24.020 Antichrist is not ruling for those entire seven years and in fact we have the Antichrist coming 32:24.020 --> 32:28.900 on the scene in the beginning and the Bible says that a crown is given to him and he's going forth 32:28.900 --> 32:35.140 conquering and to conquer but we know that he's not yet ruling as of yet being the one who just 32:35.140 --> 32:41.380 takes over the entire world because according to Revelation 18 he's ruling with you know 10 other 32:41.380 --> 32:48.500 kings and these other kings have their own sovereign power it's not until the Antichrist 32:48.500 --> 32:54.340 receives the deadly wound to the head his deadly wound is healed he comes back to life he goes 32:54.340 --> 33:00.580 into the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God then those 10 kings give their power onto the 33:00.660 --> 33:06.180 beast right they basically say like you're the man you're the leader of the club now you know we 33:06.180 --> 33:11.140 were all co-ruling but now you're the main man this is the guy that we got to follow or whatever 33:11.140 --> 33:16.260 and they relinquish their power to give it into the beast and it's at that point that you have the 33:16.260 --> 33:21.140 new world order and folks make no mistake about it the new world order is a opinion you know or some biased opinion against 34:33.620 --> 34:39.300 them it's just it's a biblical concept you know it's no no one can really deny that okay 34:40.900 --> 34:48.260 and so obviously when we look at current history current events and match it up to what's going on 34:48.260 --> 34:54.420 in the bible you can kind of see some of the you know the precursors to establishing already going to heaven there's nothing you can do to stop us you might as well just utilize it 35:16.100 --> 35:22.420 when in rome amen but let's just be honest a lot of this stuff is going to be used in order to 35:22.420 --> 35:28.100 establish the one the new world order okay the one world currency one world financial system 35:28.100 --> 35:33.140 and you know when you look at revelation chapter six you kind of see how those first four horsemen 35:33.140 --> 35:38.260 of the apocalypse are essentially being used as a springboard to essentially establish this one 35:38.260 --> 35:43.220 world government because you have the first four horsemen of the apocalypse you have the anti-christ 35:43.300 --> 35:47.860 you have wars and rumors of wars famines pestilences death on a got people calling anything the mark of the beast nowadays 36:08.900 --> 36:12.580 back in 2020 the vaccine was the mark of the beast some people were saying right 36:13.220 --> 36:17.780 you know anything could be the mark of the beast and i personally think that that's done by design 36:19.060 --> 36:25.220 i don't think that's on accident i think you know people have to say things like that place maybe this we're just interpreting it wrong okay but really what 37:06.820 --> 37:12.260 it is is that you know the bible tells us that there's going to come a time mox scoffers in the 37:12.260 --> 37:16.900 last day who shall scoff at the bible right saying where is the promise of his coming 37:16.900 --> 37:21.380 for since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the
