we preach the gospel. 00:27:50.190 --> 00:27:52.750 I mean, we're constantly talking about, emphasizing, 00:27:52.750 --> 00:27:55.150 thinking about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 00:27:55.150 --> 00:27:56.150 But I think it's a good thing 00:27:56.150 --> 00:27:58.500 just to set one day a year aside 00:27:58.500 --> 00:28:00.820 and just give special attention to this event 00:28:00.820 --> 00:28:03.240 because it's the most important event 00:28:03.240 --> 00:28:04.890 in the history of the universe. 00:28:04.890 --> 00:28:07.210 And a lot of people are down on Easter today and say, here, okay? 00:28:13.710 --> 00:28:15.310 We're not celebrating a bunny. 00:28:15.310 --> 00:28:17.290 We're not celebrating something weird like that. 00:28:17.290 --> 00:28:20.170 Like we are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 00:28:20.170 --> 00:28:22.250 I got three points for you this morning. 00:28:22.250 --> 00:28:26.130 Number one, the reality of the resurrection, Christ. 00:28:32.040 --> 00:28:34.380 This is a good time to address some of those things. 00:28:34.380 --> 00:28:37.030 And really I wanna go back before the resurrection 00:28:37.030 --> 00:28:40.100 to the death of Christ, because here's the thing. 00:28:40.100 --> 00:28:42.980 We can't have a resurrection of Jesus Christ 00:28:42.980 --> 00:28:45.370 unless Jesus actually died. 00:28:45.370 --> 00:28:46.730 Now there are religions out there. 00:28:46.730 --> 00:28:48.610 There are perversions of Christianity. 00:28:48.610 --> 00:28:52.320 And the big one that denies the death of Jesus Christ 00:28:52.320 --> 00:28:53.640 is Islam. 00:28:53.640 --> 00:28:57.110 Who's heard that Islam rejects the death of Jesus Christ? 00:28:57.110 --> 00:28:58.550 Only a few people have heard that. 00:28:58.550 --> 00:28:59.990 Islam teaches, of course, 00:28:59.990 --> 00:29:01.740 they act like they believe in Jesus. 00:29:01.740 --> 00:29:04.180 They act like they give honor to him as a prophet. 00:29:04.180 --> 00:29:05.000 But here's the thing. 00:29:05.000 --> 00:29:06.970 They believe damnable heresy about Jesus 00:29:06.970 --> 00:29:09.610 because they believe that Jesus never was killed, 00:29:09.610 --> 00:29:12.800 that he never died on the cross, that he never died at all. 00:29:12.800 --> 00:29:18.860 So let me read-- this is from the Surah and Nisa in the Koran. 00:29:18.860 --> 00:29:20.230 It says this. 00:29:20.230 --> 00:29:23.670 "And for they're saying, indeed, we have killed the Messiah, 00:29:23.670 --> 00:29:26.750 Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah. 00:29:26.750 --> 00:29:31.580 But they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him. 00:29:31.580 --> 00:29:35.160 But another was made to resemble to him. 00:29:35.160 --> 00:29:37.890 And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. 00:29:37.890 --> 00:29:40.700 They have no knowledge of it except the following 00:29:40.700 --> 00:29:41.730 of assumption. 00:29:41.730 --> 00:29:44.800 And they did not kill him for certain, rather, Allah 00:29:44.800 --> 00:29:46.440 raised him to himself. 00:29:46.440 --> 00:29:50.700 And ever is Allah exalted in might of Jesus Christ. 00:29:58.910 --> 00:30:01.860 Which here's the thing, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ 00:30:01.860 --> 00:30:05.120 is one of the most documented, well-known events 00:30:05.120 --> 00:30:06.360 in human history. 00:30:06.360 --> 00:30:08.030 And here's how you know that Islam is just 00:30:08.030 --> 00:30:11.020 a stupid religion that is not based on reality or facts, 00:30:11.020 --> 00:30:14.410 is they deny the fact that Jesus even died. 00:30:14.410 --> 00:30:17.020 And here's the thing, the devil wants to deceive you 00:30:17.020 --> 00:30:19.510 with religions like Islam, because Islam, 00:30:19.510 --> 00:30:21.870 with their mouth, they'll speak positively 00:30:21.870 --> 00:30:24.570 of a guy named Jesus, but here's the thing, 00:30:24.570 --> 00:30:26.580 it's a different Jesus. 00:30:26.580 --> 00:30:30.160 Because the Jesus of the Bible died on the cross. 00:30:30.160 --> 00:30:31.780 And so preaching to Jesus that didn't die, 00:30:31.780 --> 00:30:33.360 guess what, that's another Jesus, 00:30:33.360 --> 00:30:35.370 that is a damnable heresy. 00:30:35.370 --> 00:30:40.730 Now go to Luke chapter number 23, Luke chapter number 23. 00:30:40.730 --> 00:30:43.460 You know, even many worldly scholars 00:30:43.460 --> 00:30:47.630 and atheists acknowledge the historicity of Jesus 00:30:47.630 --> 00:30:51.550 and the factual account of his crucifixion. 00:30:51.550 --> 00:30:53.720 Like when atheists have better doctrine 00:30:53.720 --> 00:30:55.000 about Jesus than your religion, 00:30:55.000 --> 00:30:57.860 that's a good sign that you're in a false religion. 00:30:57.860 --> 00:31:01.450 Look what the Bible says in Luke chapter number 23, verse 46. 00:31:01.450 --> 00:31:04.460 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, 00:31:04.460 --> 00:31:08.830 he said, "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit." 00:31:08.830 --> 00:31:11.760 And having said thus, he gave up the ghost. 00:31:11.760 --> 00:31:13.050 So what does the Bible say? 00:31:13.050 --> 00:31:16.840 The Bible says that Jesus died on the cross. 00:31:16.840 --> 00:31:19.590 When you see in the Bible someone giving up the ghost, 00:31:19.590 --> 00:31:22.530 that's a euphemism for them dying. 00:31:22.530 --> 00:31:25.330 So Jesus' last words is, "Father, into thy hands 00:31:25.330 --> 00:31:28.350 I commend my spirit," and he died. 00:31:28.350 --> 00:31:29.860 And of course, what's one of the reasons 00:31:29.860 --> 00:31:32.010 that Jesus said that is because he knew 00:31:32.010 --> 00:31:35.030 that God was gonna The sun goes down and night comes, right? 01:23:49.640 --> 01:23:53.860 Just like Jesus died and spiritual night came, you know? 01:23:53.860 --> 01:23:58.820 Jesus now, he's in heaven, he's not here in this world to bear witness of the light, to preach the gospel. 01:23:58.820 --> 01:24:03.910 But what happens? When the sun goes down, there's another light that comes up called the moon. 01:24:03.910 --> 01:24:07.140 Now what did Jesus say in Matthew 5 verse 14? 01:24:07.140 --> 01:24:14.440 He says, "Ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on an hill, cannot be hid." 01:24:14.440 --> 01:24:18.460 Let's go back to 2 Corinthians 4. So look, the sun is out, picturing Jesus Christ. 01:24:18.460 --> 01:24:22.520 He's the light of the world. The sun goes down, picturing Jesus leaving this world. 01:24:22.520 --> 01:24:25.490 What comes out? The moon. You know what that pictures? That pictures you and me. 01:24:25.490 --> 01:24:30.190 That pictures soul winners. Why? Because Jesus was the light of the world. 01:24:30.190 --> 01:24:33.160 Then He goes away. Now the moon is the light of the world. 01:24:33.160 --> 01:24:36.130 It gives light while the sun is gone, just like what we're supposed to do is say, 01:24:36.130 --> 01:24:41.240 "Hey, we are ambassadors for Christ. God's not going to come preach the gospel door-to-door to people, 01:24:45.200 --> 01:24:48.170 but here's what we're supposed to do. I love the sun, moon, and stars and creation because every time I see the sun, 01:24:56.370 --> 01:25:00.590 I think of Jesus Christ. And you know what?
