00:00.000 --> 00:02.000
!

02:30.640 --> 02:32.640
If you're on the Nation Baptist Church, you can find your seat in the grabba's phone book.

02:32.640 --> 02:35.120
Just turn to page number 150. We're going to be singing,

02:35.120 --> 02:37.040
My Faith Has Found a Resting Place.

02:40.880 --> 02:45.360
Page number 150, My Faith Has Found a Resting Place.

02:49.200 --> 02:52.000
Song 15, Sarah, let's sing it together on the first.

02:52.880 --> 03:00.880
My faith has found a resting place, not in devise nor creed.

03:01.840 --> 03:09.600
I trust the ever living one, his wounds for me shall plead.

03:10.800 --> 03:18.320
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

03:19.040 --> 03:27.760
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

03:27.760 --> 03:37.760
Enough for me that Jesus says this ends my fear and doubt.

03:37.760 --> 03:45.760
A sinful soul, I come to him, he'll never cast me out.

03:46.640 --> 03:54.000
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

03:56.000 --> 04:03.520
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

04:05.040 --> 04:12.640
My heart is leaning on the word, the written word of God.

04:13.600 --> 04:21.280
Salvation by my Savior's name, salvation through his blood.

04:22.320 --> 04:29.760
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

04:31.680 --> 04:39.120
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

04:39.520 --> 04:47.760
My great physician heals the sick, the lost he came to save.

04:48.720 --> 04:56.720
For me his precious blood he shed, for me his life he gave.

04:57.360 --> 05:05.760
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.

05:06.560 --> 05:15.280
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

05:15.280 --> 05:17.120
Amen. Good scene.

05:17.120 --> 05:18.560
Brother Jake, would you open up the water of prayer?

05:18.560 --> 05:20.960
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day.

05:20.960 --> 05:24.160
We thank you for the opportunity and the power of your soul.

05:24.160 --> 05:28.160
We thank you for that which is in our hearts and in our souls.

05:28.160 --> 05:32.160
We thank you for your grace that you have been given the opportunity to preach to Jesus.

05:32.160 --> 05:33.680
Amen.

05:33.680 --> 05:36.800
Our second song is song number 203, The Windows of Heaven.

05:40.720 --> 05:44.640
Song number 203, The Windows of Heaven.

05:51.040 --> 05:54.160
Song 203, let's sing it together on the first.

05:54.160 --> 06:01.440
The windows of heaven are open, the blessings are falling tonight.

06:02.240 --> 06:09.440
There's joy, joy, joy in my heart since Jesus made everything right.

06:10.400 --> 06:18.400
I gave him my old tattered garment, he gave me a robe of pure white.

06:18.400 --> 06:26.400
I'm feasting on menna from heaven and that's why I'm happy tonight.

06:27.120 --> 06:34.240
The windows of heaven are open, the blessings are falling tonight.

06:35.440 --> 06:42.320
There's joy, joy, joy in my heart since Jesus made everything right.

06:43.600 --> 06:50.560
I gave him my old tattered garment, he gave me a robe of pure white.

06:51.520 --> 06:58.320
I'm feasting on menna from heaven and that's why I'm happy tonight.

06:59.760 --> 07:00.240
Amen.

07:00.240 --> 07:00.880
Good sing.

07:00.880 --> 07:02.880
This time we'll have our announcements.

07:03.600 --> 07:07.280
Our verse of the week this week is Colossians 321 where the Bible says,

07:07.280 --> 07:11.760
Fathers, provoke not your children to anger lest they be discouraged,

07:11.760 --> 07:16.400
which is quite the parallel verse to what we read this morning in Ephesians chapter 6 verse number 4.

07:17.840 --> 07:20.000
What the heck is Bolton's Blake though?

07:21.360 --> 07:21.860
Awesome.

07:22.960 --> 07:24.240
All right, I'm getting set up up here.

07:24.240 --> 07:24.880
What's up with that?

07:27.280 --> 07:30.320
We're here at the Sunday night service where Jason's going to be preaching this sermon.

07:30.320 --> 07:32.880
It sounds like he's preaching on what it means to be a fundamentalist.

07:32.880 --> 07:34.560
I tried to tell him that he should name it,

07:34.560 --> 07:40.240
putting the fun in fundamentalism, but he did not go with that title so what can you do?

07:41.200 --> 07:43.040
But his title is way better anyways.

07:43.040 --> 07:47.840
But we just had our big old marathon that we did in Pullman, Washington,

07:47.840 --> 07:52.640
which we had technically 18 and then we got the 19 or the one after that.

07:52.640 --> 07:54.720
So Brother Jake did a video call so that's awesome.

07:54.720 --> 07:58.640
So the official number is what we'd say it would be 19.

08:07.360 --> 08:07.760
Nice.

08:07.760 --> 08:08.320
Praise God.

08:10.240 --> 08:12.080
But that's not attached to Pullman now is it?

08:12.080 --> 08:17.920
So we have a total then of 34.

08:20.480 --> 08:21.040
44.

08:21.680 --> 08:22.160
44.

08:22.160 --> 08:22.400
Okay.

08:22.400 --> 08:23.360
Oh, I'm tripping.

08:23.360 --> 08:24.720
Yeah, 44 for the year.

08:24.720 --> 08:25.280
Okay, awesome.

08:25.280 --> 08:26.000
Praise God then.

08:26.000 --> 08:26.400
That's great.

08:28.720 --> 08:33.040
Kids choir is going to be postponed until next week.

08:33.040 --> 08:36.000
We'll do that for the Easter service that we're going to be doing.

08:36.000 --> 08:37.680
We have the Bible memory challenge, which is started.

08:37.680 --> 08:38.560
So it's Psalms 23.

08:38.560 --> 08:41.840
I didn't even realize those bookmarks back there that we have have Psalm 23 on it.

08:41.840 --> 08:43.120
So that's super cool.

08:43.120 --> 08:47.120
So if you need one of those, you can grab one of those or just memorize the Bible.

08:47.120 --> 08:48.160
It's only six verses.

08:48.160 --> 08:50.960
So it should be a pretty easy set of verses.

08:50.960 --> 08:53.840
Most a lot of people have a lot of those verses memorized anyways.

08:53.840 --> 08:57.200
So it's not too bad of a challenge.

08:57.200 --> 08:59.360
I think just as more of like a test run.

08:59.360 --> 09:02.720
And then we're going to get into a bigger challenge after that.

09:02.720 --> 09:08.400
But also we have on March 29th, we have Pastor Thompson coming up to visit and to preach

09:08.400 --> 09:10.960
both sermons for our church anniversary.

09:10.960 --> 09:12.320
So that will be exciting.

09:14.560 --> 09:16.880
Been a hot second since he's come up here and preached.

09:16.880 --> 09:19.200
Tom, he's got a lot of plans to go to though.

09:19.200 --> 09:20.000
So I don't blame him.

09:20.000 --> 09:22.720
But yeah, I'm excited to have him come up and preach.

09:22.720 --> 09:24.880
It's always good to see my parents and our pastor.

09:24.880 --> 09:25.760
It's a two in one for me.

09:27.440 --> 09:30.000
Then we have April 12th, the men's preaching night.

09:30.000 --> 09:34.240
So I'm excited to see who's going to preach at that and what you guys are going to preach on.

09:34.240 --> 09:35.280
Like always.

09:35.600 --> 09:39.200
April 18th, we have the Nez Pier soul winning marathon,

09:40.160 --> 09:43.760
which will be with Brother David in Orphino, Idaho.

09:43.760 --> 09:45.680
So more details will come on that.

09:45.680 --> 09:50.960
But it looks like he's mostly taking up the planning for the maps as far as everything goes.

09:50.960 --> 09:52.720
He probably knows the area better than I do anyway.

09:52.720 --> 09:54.640
So that'll be good.

09:54.640 --> 09:58.480
We're looking forward to that and partnering with the Strait Baptist Church in Idaho.

10:00.240 --> 10:02.800
Our kids memory verse that we have for the week is

10:02.800 --> 10:07.840
Proverbs 16, 18, which is pride go up before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

10:08.480 --> 10:12.480
And we already sang Happy Birthday to little Titus, return four.

10:12.480 --> 10:16.240
So we'll just get into the prayer request and then we'll do our third song.

10:16.240 --> 10:16.720
Let's pray.

12:33.680 --> 12:56.800
outstanding

12:56.800 --> 13:07.600
Song number 238, Christ liveth in me.

13:07.600 --> 13:12.600
Song number 238.

13:12.600 --> 13:23.600
Song 238, let's sing it together on the first.

13:23.600 --> 13:34.600
Once far from God and dead in sin, no light my heart could see.

13:34.600 --> 13:44.600
But in God's word, the light I found, now Christ liveth in me.

13:44.600 --> 13:49.600
Christ liveth in me.

13:49.600 --> 13:53.600
Christ liveth in me.

13:53.600 --> 14:02.600
Oh, what a salvation this, that Christ liveth in me.

14:02.600 --> 14:13.600
As rays of light from yonder sun, the flowers of earth set free.

14:13.600 --> 14:23.600
So life and light and love came forth from Christ living in me.

14:23.600 --> 14:28.600
Christ liveth in me.

14:28.600 --> 14:33.600
Christ liveth in me.

14:34.600 --> 14:44.600
Oh, what a salvation this, that Christ liveth in me.

14:44.600 --> 14:55.600
As lives the flowers within the seed, as in the cull the tree.

14:55.600 --> 15:05.600
So praise the God of truth and grace, his spirit dwelleth in me.

15:05.600 --> 15:10.600
Christ liveth in me.

15:10.600 --> 15:15.600
Christ liveth in me.

15:15.600 --> 15:25.600
Oh, what a salvation this, that Christ liveth in me.

15:25.600 --> 15:36.600
With longing all my heart is filled, that I like him may be.

15:36.600 --> 15:46.600
As on the wondrous thought I dwell, that Christ liveth in me.

15:46.600 --> 15:51.600
Christ liveth in me.

15:51.600 --> 15:56.600
Christ liveth in me.

15:56.600 --> 16:06.600
Oh, what a salvation this, that Christ liveth in me.

16:56.600 --> 17:07.600
Welcome back everybody.

17:07.600 --> 17:11.600
If you could take your Bibles and turn to Psalm 11.

17:11.600 --> 17:15.600
Psalm 11 will be our text this afternoon.

17:15.600 --> 17:22.600
And as always, here at Sure Foundation Baptist Church, we read the entire chapter before the preaching.

17:23.600 --> 17:28.600
Psalm 11, the Bible reads.

17:28.600 --> 17:35.600
In the Lord put I my trust, how say ye to my soul, flee as a bird to your mountain.

17:35.600 --> 17:44.600
For lo the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

17:44.600 --> 17:48.600
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

17:48.600 --> 17:53.600
The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven.

17:53.600 --> 17:58.600
His eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men.

17:58.600 --> 18:04.600
The Lord trieth the righteous, but the wicked, and him that loveth violence, his soul hateth.

18:04.600 --> 18:11.600
Upon the wicked he shall reign snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest.

18:11.600 --> 18:23.600
This shall be the portion of their cup, for the righteous Lord loveth righteousness, and his countenance doth behold the upright.

18:23.600 --> 18:28.600
Let's pray for the sermon. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you God for this day. Thank you for this church.

18:28.600 --> 18:34.600
I pray that you'll fill Brother Jason with your Holy Spirit. Please give us ears to hear tonight. In Jesus' name, amen.

18:34.600 --> 18:39.600
Amen.

18:39.600 --> 18:44.600
Alright, so we're here in Psalm chapter number 11, and if you want to look down there, verse number 3, where it says,

18:44.600 --> 18:49.600
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

18:49.600 --> 18:56.600
And the title of my sermon this evening is, What is a Fundamentalist? What is a Fundamentalist?

18:56.600 --> 19:03.600
And you know, I did not name the sermon like Brother Robby wanted me to, you know, putting the fun back into fundamentalism.

19:03.600 --> 19:10.600
But I do have a little factoid for everybody. Did you know that the H in fundamentalism stands for happiness?

19:10.600 --> 19:15.600
Yeah, it's true if you didn't know that, you know, you've got to just go look it up.

19:15.600 --> 19:18.600
But you know, when people ask me, you know, like, what kind of a Christian are you?

19:18.600 --> 19:29.600
Oftentimes I like to say I'm an independent, fundamental, temperamental, pre-millennial, radical, right-wing, chicken-eating, soul-winning King James Baptist, and I'm happy about it, you know.

19:29.600 --> 19:36.600
We're not necessarily going to put the fun in fundamentalism tonight, but we are going to learn about what is a fundamentalist, okay?

19:36.600 --> 19:46.600
So, and it says here in Psalms chapter number 11, verse number 3, you know, it says, Hey, if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

19:46.600 --> 19:54.600
And that, of course, is because, you know, the foundations of any building or any structure are something that's extremely important.

19:54.600 --> 20:03.600
And if you don't have it, you know, if your foundations are screwed up or your foundations are messed up, you're going to have major problems. Amen.

20:03.600 --> 20:11.600
And foundations is synonymous with something that is fundamental. And you know, what is fundamental?

20:11.600 --> 20:15.600
Well, fundamental is basically, it's like the basics of something.

20:15.600 --> 20:21.600
Like if you could have like the fundamentals of football or the fundamentals, you know, of wrestling.

20:21.600 --> 20:34.600
And basically that would be like, you know, the very basic, you know, parts, the basic understanding of any sport or of like, you know, the fundamentals of a building, right?

20:34.600 --> 20:41.600
That would be like, you know, we're not necessarily talking about which kind of paint you're going to put on the interior when you're talking about the fundamentals of a building.

20:41.600 --> 20:47.600
You're talking about, OK, how thick is the foundation going to be? What kind of concrete is it going to be made out of?

20:47.600 --> 20:51.600
You know, how far down does, you know, do the piles have to go for this bridge?

20:51.600 --> 20:58.600
Like that's what we're talking about with fundamentals. You know, how much can this structural beam hold up?

20:58.600 --> 21:01.600
Right. That's what we're talking about when we're talking about fundamentals.

21:01.600 --> 21:04.600
We're talking about something that's like the core, the foundation of something. Right.

21:04.600 --> 21:10.600
And, of course, you know, if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

21:10.600 --> 21:17.600
And if you think of any skyscraper, if you have a foundation that gets destroyed, what's going to happen to that building?

21:17.600 --> 21:21.600
It's going down. It's not going to last long.

21:21.600 --> 21:26.600
You know, and it's important in any building to have, you know, have a sure foundation. Amen.

21:26.600 --> 21:30.600
And, you know, oftentimes you'll see you'll see houses many times that are built.

21:30.600 --> 21:39.600
And then like 10 years later, they'll call it settling, where basically the foundation, you know, it, you know, for when it was first built,

21:39.600 --> 21:43.600
it was built on maybe ground that wasn't solid. Right.

21:43.600 --> 21:49.600
And then over time it will settle. And then you'll see part of the house kind of like breaking away from another part of the house.

21:49.600 --> 21:53.600
You know, oftentimes the garage will have like an issue where it's like kind of breaking away from the house.

21:53.600 --> 21:58.600
Well, it's because that foundation was moving because the foundation wasn't sure.

21:58.600 --> 22:06.600
So you'll have other structural issues. You only have a big old crack form in the wall because of an issue with the foundations.

22:07.600 --> 22:12.600
And so, you know, when it comes to, you know, the religion, when it comes to Christianity, you know,

22:12.600 --> 22:19.600
the foundation is going to be something that's extraordinarily important because if you don't have your foundation correct,

22:19.600 --> 22:21.600
nothing else in the building is going to be correct.

22:21.600 --> 22:28.600
And of course, you know, the bigger the building, the taller the building, the more important that foundation becomes.

22:28.600 --> 22:36.600
You know, if you were making like a little teepee or whatever, you know, maybe the foundation isn't quite as important in a teepee.

22:36.600 --> 22:43.600
But, you know, when you're building like a 100-story building, all of a sudden that foundation becomes extraordinarily important. Right.

22:43.600 --> 22:49.600
And, you know, when it comes to religion, you know, we're not building a teepee with religion, my friend.

22:49.600 --> 22:54.600
You know, this is something that's an extremely important part of our lives.

22:54.600 --> 23:03.600
You know, if you want to play baseball and you never master the fundamentals of baseball, you know, you might not be a very good baseball player.

23:03.600 --> 23:08.600
But that's, you know, in the grand scheme of things, that's not the end of the world.

23:08.600 --> 23:14.600
Or if you don't master the fundamentals of like football or whatever, you know, you may not be a good football player.

23:14.600 --> 23:18.600
But in the grand scheme of things, it's okay. You're going to survive.

23:18.600 --> 23:24.600
You know, your life is probably going to turn out okay anyway, even though you weren't the best, you know, football player.

23:24.600 --> 23:34.600
But when it comes to religion, you know, that is going to play a major determining factor of how your life is going to turn out and potentially how your eternity turns out.

23:34.600 --> 23:43.600
Right. Because if you have your foundation screwed up when it comes to, for example, salvation, we'll get to that later, you know, your eternity is going to be screwed up.

23:43.600 --> 23:47.600
You know, so that's not like a little teepee, a teepee as part of your life.

23:47.600 --> 23:50.600
That's like a giant skyscraper that you're building your life in.

23:50.600 --> 23:55.600
Right. And so that foundation has to be sound.

23:55.600 --> 23:57.600
And go ahead and turn to Luke, chapter number six.

23:57.600 --> 24:00.600
I'm going to read for you First Corinthians three, verse number ten.

24:00.600 --> 24:10.600
It says, According to the grace of God, which is given unto me as a wise master builder, I've laid the foundation and another build it thereon.

24:10.600 --> 24:13.600
But let every man take heed how he build it thereon.

24:13.600 --> 24:20.600
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

24:20.600 --> 24:28.600
So the Bible here is telling us that, look, our foundation is built upon Jesus Christ.

24:28.600 --> 24:36.600
Amen. And of course, you know, you know, on to on top of that foundation, we're going to build all of our other doctrines.

24:36.600 --> 24:42.600
Right. But when we boil it down, you know, Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith.

24:42.600 --> 24:44.600
And what does the Bible say about Jesus Christ?

24:44.600 --> 24:48.600
Well, it says that he is the word and word was with God and the word was God.

24:48.600 --> 24:55.600
Right. So at the end of the day, the foundation that we're building our Christian life off of obviously is the Bible.

24:55.600 --> 25:00.600
And of course, you know, that's something that we've that we've preached, you know, six ways to Sunday.

25:00.600 --> 25:03.600
And so I'm not going to belabor that point too much.

25:03.600 --> 25:10.600
But we know that the foundation that we build upon is Jesus Christ, which would be the word of God.

25:10.600 --> 25:15.600
OK, which means we derive everything we believe about our religion from the Bible.

25:15.600 --> 25:24.600
You see, we don't we don't, you know, derive our doctrine, come up with it and then go searching the Bible to find out if there's different verses that will support our doctrine.

25:24.600 --> 25:28.600
But instead, we we go to the Bible to find out what our doctrine is.

25:28.600 --> 25:35.600
And then you can pull things from the world and pull things from logic or whatever to back up what the Bible already told us.

25:35.600 --> 25:39.600
You know, we're not working backwards the other way around.

25:39.600 --> 25:42.600
And so, you know, what what is a fundamentalist?

25:42.600 --> 25:46.600
Well, a fundamentalist is somebody that just actually believes what the Bible says.

25:46.600 --> 25:49.600
That's what a fundamentalist fundamentalist is.

25:49.600 --> 25:57.600
At the end of the day, it's somebody that just believes what the Bible says and somebody that believes what the Bible says is going to believe that salvation by the salvation is by grace of faith.

25:57.600 --> 26:02.600
And they're going to build their salvation on Jesus Christ instead of the shifting sands of their own works.

26:02.600 --> 26:06.600
OK, so I just you know, we'll get to that more here in just a minute.

26:06.600 --> 26:10.600
But if you're in Luke, chapter number six, look at verse number forty six.

26:10.600 --> 26:18.600
It says, And why call you me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say, for example, by like believing on him for salvation and nothing else.

26:18.600 --> 26:25.600
Right. Amen. It says, Whosoever cometh to me and hearth my sayings and do with them, I will show you to whom he is like.

26:25.600 --> 26:31.600
He's like a man which buildeth in house and diggeth deep and lay the foundation on a rock.

26:31.600 --> 26:40.600
And when the floods arose and the streams beat vehemently upon that house and could not shake it for it was founded upon a rock.

26:40.600 --> 26:52.600
But he that hearth and doeth not is like a man that without a foundation buildeth and house upon the earth against which the stream did beat vehemently.

26:52.600 --> 26:58.600
And immediately it fell and the ruin of that house was great.

26:58.600 --> 27:05.600
So Jesus here, he's laying out this parable of, you know, having two different people building on two different foundation.

27:05.600 --> 27:08.600
Basically, one guy builds his life.

27:08.600 --> 27:15.600
I would say on the Lord Jesus Christ, on the rock, on the solid rock, that solid foundations is not going to move.

27:15.600 --> 27:23.600
And his house remains standing through the storms, through the streams, through all the different problems.

27:23.600 --> 27:25.600
His house remains standing.

27:25.600 --> 27:29.600
And then, of course, the other guy, he builds his house just directly on the ground with no foundation at all.

27:29.600 --> 27:33.600
It's just, you know, basically dirt is his foundation.

27:33.600 --> 27:39.600
Right. So I'd be like building your, you know, somebody building, you know, their life basically on man's opinions.

27:39.600 --> 27:43.600
Right. Building their life on false doctrine, building their religious life.

27:43.600 --> 27:48.600
Their Christianity on false doctrine.

27:48.600 --> 27:53.600
You know, the storms and the winds are going to come and they're just going to destroy that house.

27:53.600 --> 28:03.600
Right. And so, you know, we need to make sure that our Christian life is built upon a solid foundation and solid doctrine.

28:03.600 --> 28:09.600
You know, because doctrine, you know, that's what is building our spiritual house.

28:09.600 --> 28:12.600
Right. Well, that's what's building our spiritual building.

28:12.600 --> 28:16.600
Is basically these different doctrines that we believe from the Bible.

28:16.600 --> 28:19.600
That's what our religious life is.

28:19.600 --> 28:23.600
And we need to build those doctrines based on what the Bible says.

28:23.600 --> 28:28.600
Amen. And that is what makes a fundamentalist a fundamentalist.

28:28.600 --> 28:32.600
Go ahead and turn to Hebrews chapter number six.

28:32.600 --> 28:41.600
And when we're going to we're going to get into some specific doctrines that we can look at to determine.

28:41.600 --> 28:44.600
OK, well, what what is what is fundamental doctrines?

28:44.600 --> 28:47.600
And we're going to get to that here in just a second.

28:47.600 --> 28:50.600
And in Hebrews chapter number six, look at verse number one.

28:50.600 --> 28:54.600
It says, Therefore, leaving the principalities of the doctrine of doctrine of Christ,

28:54.600 --> 29:01.600
the principalities of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection, not laying again

29:01.600 --> 29:08.560
the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of

29:08.560 --> 29:14.320
baptism and of laying on of hands and of the resurrection of the dead and of eternal judgment."

29:14.320 --> 29:19.720
So here in this verse it's saying, hey, we're going to leave these fundamental doctrines,

29:19.720 --> 29:20.720
right?

29:20.720 --> 29:22.600
They're going to move on to something else, right?

29:22.600 --> 29:29.520
But what I want to pull from these verses is what he gives the examples of these fundamental

29:29.520 --> 29:32.960
doctrines, these foundational doctrines, right?

29:32.960 --> 29:35.800
Because he lists off all of these doctrines.

29:35.800 --> 29:39.240
And I would say that the Bible is telling us, hey, look, these are fundamental doctrines.

29:39.240 --> 29:41.340
These are foundational doctrines, right?

29:41.340 --> 29:44.780
Because it says, hey, laying again the foundation, right?

29:44.780 --> 29:48.560
And we're going to just kind of go through these verses and take a look at some of these

29:48.560 --> 29:50.600
foundational doctrines.

29:50.800 --> 29:56.480
The first one is repentance from dead works, right?

29:56.480 --> 30:00.120
And of course, I think we all understand this pretty well.

30:00.120 --> 30:04.600
I'm not going to belabor any one of these, I don't think too much.

30:04.600 --> 30:05.960
Who knows?

30:05.960 --> 30:06.960
Maybe I will.

30:06.960 --> 30:09.120
But this first one is a pretty basic one.

30:09.120 --> 30:11.360
I think we all probably get this one pretty well.

30:11.360 --> 30:16.080
But of course, we know that salvation is not by works, right?

30:16.520 --> 30:20.700
So the Bible is saying here that there's something called repentance from dead works.

30:20.700 --> 30:21.700
And what is that?

30:21.700 --> 30:26.060
Well, that's basically somebody realizing, hey, my works don't get me to heaven.

30:26.060 --> 30:27.680
My works don't earn my way into heaven.

30:27.680 --> 30:32.780
I have to repent of thinking that they will get me into heaven and believe on the Lord

30:32.780 --> 30:34.880
Jesus Christ and receive the free gift of eternal life, right?

30:34.880 --> 30:37.840
And of course, we know Ephesians 2, 8, 9, it says, for by grace are you saved through

30:37.840 --> 30:43.180
faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should

30:43.180 --> 30:44.180
boast, right?

30:44.180 --> 30:46.740
So we have to turn from believing in those works to get us to heaven.

30:46.740 --> 30:52.140
We have to repent of that and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and what he did for us.

30:52.140 --> 30:53.740
Amen.

30:53.740 --> 30:58.260
And then there in Hebrews chapter number 6, it says, repentance from dead works and of

30:58.260 --> 31:00.460
faith toward God.

31:00.460 --> 31:01.700
Well, what is that?

31:01.700 --> 31:06.780
Well, in John 3, 36, it says, he that believeth on the Son, right?

31:06.780 --> 31:10.060
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall

31:11.060 --> 31:14.260
of God abideth on him, right?

31:14.260 --> 31:16.340
So what is and of faith toward God?

31:16.340 --> 31:20.980
Well, that's putting your faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.

31:20.980 --> 31:22.180
Amen.

31:22.180 --> 31:27.380
And then there in Hebrews chapter number 6, again, it says, of the doctrine of baptism,

31:27.380 --> 31:28.380
right?

31:28.380 --> 31:31.780
And go ahead and turn to Romans chapter number 6.

31:31.780 --> 31:36.580
And so, you know, obviously, you know, the first kind of two examples there, they're

31:36.620 --> 31:40.020
kind of split up into two examples, you know, repentance from dead works and a faith toward

31:40.020 --> 31:41.020
God, right?

31:41.020 --> 31:43.780
That's basically that's your doctrine about salvation, right?

31:43.780 --> 31:48.340
You know, if you don't if you don't have that right, you just don't have anything right,

31:48.340 --> 31:49.340
right?

31:49.340 --> 31:53.980
That's that's a completely cracked and degraded and ruined foundation that you shouldn't be

31:53.980 --> 31:55.620
building anything on, right?

31:55.620 --> 32:00.420
You if that if that's somebody's foundation, obviously, they need to get a big old bulldozer,

32:00.420 --> 32:05.540
bulldoze that concrete out of there, you know, get a flat, nice flat plane, you know, maybe

32:05.700 --> 32:10.020
dig down some piles down into the dirt and then lay a new foundation actually get saved,

32:10.020 --> 32:11.020
right?

32:11.020 --> 32:14.540
And then they'll get the Holy Spirit and you know, the Holy Spirit will teach them all

32:14.540 --> 32:15.540
all things.

32:15.540 --> 32:16.540
Amen.

32:16.540 --> 32:21.660
And so, you know, without that foundation, you know, you're going nowhere, right?

32:21.660 --> 32:24.220
And so let's see here.

32:24.220 --> 32:25.220
Where was I going with that?

32:25.220 --> 32:27.420
So yeah, so basically, that's the doctrine of salvation.

32:27.420 --> 32:28.820
That's a foundational doctrine.

32:28.820 --> 32:29.880
That's kind of a basic one, right?

32:29.880 --> 32:33.160
But I think everybody in here understands that pretty well.

32:33.160 --> 32:36.280
So again, I don't want to belabor that point too much.

32:36.280 --> 32:38.840
And then the doctrine of baptism, right?

32:38.840 --> 32:44.160
This is this is another fundamental Baptist, what we are fundamental Baptist, right?

32:44.160 --> 32:47.000
This is another fundamental doctrine.

32:47.000 --> 32:52.640
And you know, this is one that there's a huge amount of so-called Christians out there that

32:52.640 --> 32:53.640
just get this wrong.

32:53.640 --> 32:55.680
And it's like, how do you get this wrong?

32:55.680 --> 32:59.360
There's a there's a huge amount of people that are that are basically baby sprinklers

32:59.360 --> 33:01.800
or baby baptizers.

33:02.240 --> 33:07.120
You know, it just completely conflicts with what the Bible says, right?

33:07.120 --> 33:09.640
Because it says in Romans chapter number six, verse number three, it says, Know ye

33:09.640 --> 33:16.520
not that that so many of us as we're baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.

33:16.520 --> 33:23.220
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death that like as Christ was raised

33:23.220 --> 33:29.480
up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of

33:29.480 --> 33:30.560
life.

33:30.560 --> 33:34.920
And so, you know, obviously, and we preach this many times, the baptism is a picture

33:34.920 --> 33:37.740
of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

33:37.740 --> 33:41.840
And so sprinkling a baby just doesn't picture that.

33:41.840 --> 33:44.200
It doesn't make any sense.

33:44.200 --> 33:45.200
Right.

33:45.200 --> 33:48.800
And by the way, the Bible is telling us here in Hebrews number six, this is a foundational

33:48.800 --> 33:49.800
doctrine.

33:49.800 --> 33:51.360
This is a fundamental doctrine.

33:51.360 --> 33:53.360
Like this is a basic doctrine.

33:53.360 --> 33:58.360
And if you can't get this doctrine right, I don't trust you with any other scriptures

33:58.360 --> 33:59.360
at all.

34:00.160 --> 34:02.360
I don't trust you with any other doctrine, any other interpretation, nothing else.

34:02.360 --> 34:07.560
It's like if you can't get baptism right, you know, how can I, I mean, what else could

34:07.560 --> 34:09.240
you possibly be getting right?

34:09.240 --> 34:15.760
I mean, again, these are very basic doctrines and there's, you know, okay, I'll admit it's

34:15.760 --> 34:20.280
maybe not as strong as salvation by grace or faith, maybe not as strong as once saved,

34:20.280 --> 34:21.280
always saved.

34:21.280 --> 34:24.360
I think those are the strongest doctrines in the whole Bible.

34:24.360 --> 34:27.920
But there's a lot of verses on baptism, my friend.

34:27.920 --> 34:32.120
I mean, you see Jesus, he's being baptized in the Jordan River and he comes up straight

34:32.120 --> 34:33.920
way up out of the water.

34:33.920 --> 34:34.920
Right.

34:34.920 --> 34:35.920
He wasn't being sprinkled.

34:35.920 --> 34:43.000
You know, and, you know, they, when the Ethiopian unit comes, you know, they go down into the

34:43.000 --> 34:44.000
water.

34:44.000 --> 34:48.080
He doesn't like whip out a cup, you know, that he's, that he has of holy water carrying

34:48.080 --> 34:50.560
around with him and just flicks him in the eye with it.

34:50.560 --> 34:53.520
You know, he doesn't, he doesn't bring it out and just, just be there and like flicks

34:53.520 --> 34:54.520
him in the eye.

34:54.520 --> 34:56.920
It's like, ah, you know, that's not what happened.

34:57.520 --> 34:59.960
You know, he takes him down into the water.

34:59.960 --> 35:02.640
You know, he goes out like way out into the water.

35:02.640 --> 35:03.640
Right.

35:03.640 --> 35:04.640
And it's like shallow or something.

35:04.640 --> 35:07.720
He goes like way out into the middle of the river and then just like flicks it.

35:07.720 --> 35:09.120
Like what, what are we talking about here?

35:09.120 --> 35:11.760
No, this isn't, that's, that's insanity, my friend.

35:11.760 --> 35:17.280
He gets dunked underwater and then, you know, symbolizing the burial and then he's raised

35:17.280 --> 35:18.280
up.

35:18.280 --> 35:22.720
It's like, you know, again, you know, this is, this is a basic doctrine that we preach

35:22.720 --> 35:25.840
many times, so I don't want to belabor that point too much.

35:25.840 --> 35:30.800
But again, you know, these are things that, that this, this is what a fundamentalist believes

35:30.800 --> 35:31.800
because why?

35:31.800 --> 35:33.480
Because this is a foundational doctrine.

35:33.480 --> 35:37.600
Like you can't, you can't be running around saying, I believe the Bible when you're sprinkling

35:37.600 --> 35:38.960
babies.

35:38.960 --> 35:43.800
You're not a Bible believer, my friend, if you, if you believe that you're not a fundamentalist.

35:43.800 --> 35:50.120
You know, and obviously, you know, I believe that all Christians should be fundamentalists.

35:50.120 --> 35:53.280
You know, being a fundamentalist is not a bad thing.

35:53.520 --> 35:58.880
Being a fundamentalist is a good thing when it comes to the Bible, my friend, you know,

35:58.880 --> 36:05.880
because a lot of times, you know, this is something that will be used as like a disparaging

36:05.880 --> 36:12.440
remark, you know, and especially, you know, especially when oftentimes fundamentalists

36:12.440 --> 36:16.760
get a bad rap for stuff that's actually not in the Bible.

36:16.760 --> 36:21.480
Like a perfect example of this is, you know, people all the time now, they're like, well,

36:21.520 --> 36:26.480
you know, these bunch of Zionists, these are a bunch of new evangelical fundamentalists

36:26.480 --> 36:30.080
that think that, you know, when the Jews rebuild their temple, it's going to, it's going to

36:30.080 --> 36:32.680
bring Jesus in or whatever.

36:32.680 --> 36:37.320
And it's like, yeah, you know, they're, they're using fundamentalism as kind of a negative

36:37.320 --> 36:38.680
term in that.

36:38.680 --> 36:43.560
And it's really frustrating because it's like, you know, Zionism is not part of fundamentalism,

36:43.560 --> 36:44.560
my friend.

36:44.560 --> 36:48.000
Like those are not actually fundamental Christians that are believing that, you know, obviously,

36:48.000 --> 36:51.840
I know that they're, you know, the vast majority of fundamental Baptists believe in that, but

36:51.840 --> 36:55.200
that specific doctrine, that's not a fundamental doctrine.

36:55.200 --> 36:57.280
You know, that's a false doctrine.

36:57.280 --> 37:00.280
Okay, that that pushes you away from fundamentalism, right?

37:00.280 --> 37:05.120
I mean, that's like, it's like, if I'm, if I'm judging like a church or whatever, whether

37:05.120 --> 37:09.480
or not they're fundamental, that's a demarcation against them being fundamental.

37:09.480 --> 37:11.600
You know, maybe they're getting all this other stuff, right?

37:11.600 --> 37:14.760
Maybe they're riding the King James, maybe they're right on salvation, they're right

37:14.760 --> 37:16.080
on baptism and all this other stuff.

37:16.160 --> 37:19.120
I was like, okay, well, they've got these fundamental doctrines, but like they've got

37:19.120 --> 37:23.080
this other, they got this doctrine, this false, that's wrong.

37:23.080 --> 37:26.480
Like that, that's a reason for me to put them out of the fundamental camp.

37:26.480 --> 37:30.360
You know, now I don't believe it does put them out of the camp, right?

37:30.360 --> 37:32.320
But it's a problem, my friend.

37:32.320 --> 37:39.440
And so anyways, but being a fundamentalist, that is a good term, that is a positive term.

37:39.440 --> 37:42.920
But you know, again, people of this world, they try to put a negative connotation on that.

37:42.920 --> 37:46.440
You know, they'll be like, you know, oh, well, you know, it's these fundamentalist

37:46.440 --> 37:49.160
Islam people or whatever.

37:49.160 --> 37:51.200
But you know, that's a false religion.

37:51.200 --> 37:54.640
You know, it's like, who cares about what the fundamentals of a false religion are?

37:54.640 --> 37:59.000
You know, I'm sure the fundamental, the fundamentals of Hinduism include throwing cow poo at your

37:59.000 --> 38:00.000
buddy's face.

38:00.000 --> 38:03.800
Well, then yeah, I don't want to be, I don't want to have anything to do with the fundamentals

38:03.800 --> 38:07.520
of Hinduism, right?

38:07.520 --> 38:08.520
That's disgusting to me.

38:08.520 --> 38:11.120
I just want to be a fundamental Baptist.

38:11.120 --> 38:13.080
I want to be a fundamental Christian, right?

38:13.080 --> 38:17.680
And on a fundamental Christian, if somebody actually just believes the Bible, they read

38:17.680 --> 38:22.080
the Bible and they just believe the doctrines coming from that, they're going to end up

38:22.080 --> 38:25.200
becoming a fundamental Baptist, my friend.

38:25.200 --> 38:26.200
Okay.

38:26.200 --> 38:30.160
You know, and of course, you know, there's like, there's like different, there's different

38:30.160 --> 38:33.080
like, kind of like flavors of fundamental Baptist, right?

38:33.080 --> 38:37.760
You know, we're a very particular favor, flavor of fundamental Baptist, right?

38:37.760 --> 38:39.360
Which I think is the most pure.

38:39.360 --> 38:40.360
Okay.

38:40.360 --> 38:45.160
Like, you know, I believe that this is like the cream of the crop of fundamentalism right

38:45.160 --> 38:47.160
here in this room here.

38:47.160 --> 38:48.160
Why?

38:48.160 --> 38:54.320
Because you know what, we got rid of all the bad doctrine that's been associated with fundamentalism

38:54.320 --> 38:55.320
over the years.

38:55.320 --> 38:57.520
We're trying to get rid of that junk, right?

38:57.520 --> 39:02.240
And we're just sticking with exactly what the Bible says, you know, and the Bible says,

39:02.240 --> 39:06.200
you know, in Galatians chapter number three, it says, if you'd be Abraham's, if you'd be

39:06.840 --> 39:09.280
Christ, then are you Abraham's seen, my friend.

39:09.280 --> 39:14.480
So, you know, Zionism again, once again is out the window.

39:14.480 --> 39:16.920
But where was I when this?

39:16.920 --> 39:17.920
All right.

39:17.920 --> 39:22.040
So we're talking about, we're talking about baptism, we're talking about fundamental doctrines.

39:22.040 --> 39:23.400
Baptism is a fundamental doctrine, right?

39:23.400 --> 39:30.960
You know, if somebody's rejecting baptism by immersion, they're missing a fundamental

39:30.960 --> 39:33.840
doctrine according to Hebrews chapter number six here.

39:34.480 --> 39:41.480
And it says that of laying on of hands and first Timothy four verse number 14, it says,

39:41.480 --> 39:46.880
neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy with the laying

39:46.880 --> 39:51.080
on of excuse me, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

39:51.080 --> 39:56.200
Now, you know, the laying on of hands, you know, this is basically this is why we don't,

39:56.200 --> 40:00.000
you know, like if somebody just like self ordain themselves, we're like, hey, this guy's

40:00.000 --> 40:01.000
squirrely.

40:01.000 --> 40:02.000
This guy's weird.

40:02.000 --> 40:03.000
Like we don't support that.

40:03.160 --> 40:05.160
We don't see that as a legitimate church.

40:05.160 --> 40:06.160
Right.

40:06.160 --> 40:07.160
Why?

40:07.160 --> 40:10.080
Because, you know, Timothy here, he was ordained by somebody.

40:10.080 --> 40:14.280
He was ordained here by the presbytery and somebody laid hands on him and said, hey,

40:14.280 --> 40:18.160
you know, you're going to start a New Testament church.

40:18.160 --> 40:19.160
OK.

40:19.160 --> 40:24.200
And so, you know, there's there's a certain authority structure that we abide by, you

40:24.200 --> 40:26.200
know, as Christians here in the New Testament.

40:26.200 --> 40:29.360
You know, it's not just like a free for all or anybody can just kind of do whatever they

40:29.360 --> 40:30.360
want.

40:30.360 --> 40:32.320
You can just start a church whenever and wherever you want.

40:32.640 --> 40:34.560
So there's a system in place.

40:34.560 --> 40:36.760
There's the laying on of hands that has to happen.

40:36.760 --> 40:37.760
Right.

40:37.760 --> 40:38.960
For it to be, you know, a biblical church.

40:38.960 --> 40:44.040
And of course, what goes along with that is other, you know, biblical standards that a

40:44.040 --> 40:49.000
man would have to meet before somebody can lay hands on him and be sent out to start

40:49.000 --> 40:51.200
a church or to take over a church.

40:51.200 --> 40:52.200
Right.

40:52.200 --> 40:55.880
And so, you know, according to Hebrews six, this is this is this is a basic foundational

40:55.880 --> 40:58.080
doctrine.

40:58.840 --> 41:02.760
And the first one is as as the resurrection of the dead.

41:02.760 --> 41:03.760
Right.

41:03.760 --> 41:10.320
So according to the Bible here, the resurrection of the dead is a basic fundamental doctrine.

41:10.320 --> 41:16.240
And you know, there's there's a there's, you know, there's this growing idea out there

41:16.240 --> 41:18.440
that completely screws this up.

41:18.440 --> 41:19.440
Right.

41:19.440 --> 41:21.920
And, you know, what is what is the resurrection of the dead?

41:21.920 --> 41:27.200
Well, go ahead and turn to first Thessalonians chapter number four.

41:27.320 --> 41:42.240
And of course, you know, the first resurrection of the dead would obviously be Jesus Christ.

41:42.240 --> 41:43.960
You know, rising again from the dead.

41:43.960 --> 41:45.960
That would be definitely a fundamental doctrine.

41:45.960 --> 41:49.500
Like there's no Christianity without that, my friend.

41:49.500 --> 41:53.720
But beyond that, obviously, you know, this is not just referring to Jesus Christ rising

41:53.720 --> 41:56.860
from the dead, but this is talking about the resurrection.

41:57.020 --> 41:58.620
This is talking about the rapture.

41:58.620 --> 41:59.620
Right.

41:59.620 --> 42:02.060
And it says here in first Thessalonians chapter number four, look at verse number 13.

42:02.060 --> 42:06.860
It says, but I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,

42:06.860 --> 42:11.540
that you sorrow not even as others which have no hope.

42:11.540 --> 42:17.480
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus

42:17.480 --> 42:20.140
will God bring with him.

42:20.140 --> 42:26.100
For this we say unto you by the world, by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive

42:26.180 --> 42:30.620
and remain under the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

42:30.620 --> 42:35.700
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel

42:35.700 --> 42:37.860
and with the trumpet of God.

42:37.860 --> 42:41.700
And the dead in Christ shall rise first.

42:41.700 --> 42:46.540
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds

42:46.540 --> 42:50.620
to meet, excuse me, to meet the Lord in the air.

42:50.620 --> 42:54.100
And so shall we ever be with the Lord.

42:54.100 --> 42:58.580
Therefore comfort one another with these words.

42:58.580 --> 43:04.980
Now obviously at this church we believe in the post-trib, pre-wrath rapture.

43:04.980 --> 43:08.980
We do not believe in the mid-trib rapture because we do not subscribe to the stupid

43:08.980 --> 43:11.660
idea that there's seven years of tribulation.

43:11.660 --> 43:13.500
It's never said in the Bible anywhere.

43:13.500 --> 43:17.740
We believe in the post-trib, pre-wrath rapture.

43:17.740 --> 43:23.420
But fundamentally though, we believe in a coming resurrection.

43:23.420 --> 43:25.980
We believe in a coming rapture.

43:25.980 --> 43:26.980
Okay?

43:26.980 --> 43:30.820
Now there's this belief out there called post-millennialism.

43:30.820 --> 43:35.660
And I believe also the all-millennialists, they probably have the exact same view.

43:35.660 --> 43:38.980
But this is what I know that the post-millennialists believe.

43:38.980 --> 43:41.860
They basically don't really believe in the rapture.

43:41.860 --> 43:44.900
I mean they say that they do.

43:44.900 --> 43:48.620
But when you find out what they actually believe about it, it's like, ah, that's not really

43:48.620 --> 43:50.340
the rapture now.

43:50.340 --> 43:53.180
Because okay, so here's what they believe about it though.

43:53.500 --> 43:55.500
We just read what the rapture is.

43:55.500 --> 44:00.100
It's basically, you know, the dead in Christ shall rise, right?

44:00.100 --> 44:04.060
And then the rest of us, which are alive and remain under the coming of the Lord, shall

44:04.060 --> 44:09.100
be caught up with him up in the clouds.

44:09.100 --> 44:10.100
Right?

44:10.100 --> 44:12.300
And the Bible does tell us when this happens.

44:12.300 --> 44:17.100
It tells us when it happens in Matthew chapter number 24, right?

44:17.100 --> 44:20.780
You know, it says after the tribulation of those days that, you know, the angels are

44:20.780 --> 44:25.460
going to be sent into the four winds to gather up the elect from the four winds of the earth.

44:25.460 --> 44:26.460
Right?

44:26.460 --> 44:32.460
And then if you read in Revelation 6 and 7, it's like all of a sudden there's this great

44:32.460 --> 44:34.700
multitude in heaven.

44:34.700 --> 44:37.740
You know, so we know where they go.

44:37.740 --> 44:39.900
When they're raptured, we know where God takes them.

44:39.900 --> 44:42.820
Takes them to heaven, right?

44:42.820 --> 44:44.500
But this is what the post-millennialists believe.

44:44.500 --> 44:47.740
They believe that because they, you know, they don't believe in the coming millennia

44:47.740 --> 44:51.940
reign of Christ, you know, which is just retarded.

44:51.940 --> 44:52.940
Right?

44:52.940 --> 44:55.460
But so they don't believe in the coming millennia reign of Christ.

44:55.460 --> 44:58.460
They think that like that already happened.

44:58.460 --> 45:03.500
You know, they think that when 70 A.D. happened, that was the entire book of Revelation that

45:03.500 --> 45:05.060
just played out already.

45:05.060 --> 45:07.300
It's like, what?

45:07.300 --> 45:08.460
You're insane.

45:08.460 --> 45:13.660
But so they think that we're not, you know, either, you know, the millennial reign basically

45:14.660 --> 45:18.940
And we're just like waiting for Christ to return and establish his kingdom upon this

45:18.940 --> 45:20.380
earth.

45:20.380 --> 45:22.620
And then once that happens, that's the end of everything.

45:22.620 --> 45:23.620
Right?

45:23.620 --> 45:28.500
And so they say, well, you know, because this is kind of a fly in the ointment for them.

45:28.500 --> 45:30.700
It's like, well, what about the rapture?

45:30.700 --> 45:33.860
I mean, it's kind of clearly laid out here in 1 Thessalonians 4.

45:33.860 --> 45:38.860
Like, I mean, we know you don't want there to be a rapture, but it's there.

45:38.860 --> 45:40.220
So they have to deal with these verses.

45:40.220 --> 45:41.220
Right?

45:41.660 --> 45:46.420
And they're like, well, you see, what happens is, is it's just like it's just like the parable

45:46.420 --> 45:52.540
of the ten virgins, because, you know, the virgins are like waiting outside of the house

45:52.540 --> 45:56.260
and then the bridegroom comes and then they go inside.

45:56.260 --> 45:58.260
That's the rapture.

45:58.260 --> 46:01.900
Because when Jesus comes, he's going to come down.

46:01.900 --> 46:04.900
We're going to like go up a little bit.

46:04.900 --> 46:05.900
We're going to say hi.

46:05.900 --> 46:07.900
And then we're going to come back down.

46:08.580 --> 46:10.580
It's like, what?

46:10.580 --> 46:13.580
That's not the rapture.

46:13.580 --> 46:14.580
They're like, oh, yeah, yeah, no, no, no.

46:14.580 --> 46:15.580
He's going to come down.

46:15.580 --> 46:17.580
He's going to descend into the clouds.

46:17.580 --> 46:19.980
And then like all the dead in Christ are going to rise.

46:19.980 --> 46:22.180
They're going to go up and they're going to meet him in the clouds.

46:22.180 --> 46:25.780
And then all the all they which are remained, they're going to go up.

46:25.780 --> 46:26.980
They're going to like float up.

46:26.980 --> 46:28.980
They're going to meet him in the clouds.

46:28.980 --> 46:30.980
You know, and then they're just going to go back down.

46:30.980 --> 46:32.980
It's like, what?

46:32.980 --> 46:34.580
What is this?

46:34.660 --> 46:38.660
But let me tell you, my friend, this is becoming more and more popular.

46:38.660 --> 46:41.660
You got a bunch of guys running around these post-millennialists.

46:41.660 --> 46:44.660
And let me tell you one thing.

46:44.660 --> 46:51.660
You know, if you find a post-millennialist, I'll find you somebody that does not believe in the King James Bible.

46:51.660 --> 46:54.660
You know, these guys running around like Doug Wilson.

46:54.660 --> 46:57.660
These guys are not King James only.

46:57.660 --> 46:58.660
And you know why?

46:58.660 --> 47:03.660
Because one of their major things, and I've covered this before when I talk about post-millennialism,

47:03.740 --> 47:08.740
but one of the one of the major things, this is like this is like the key.

47:08.740 --> 47:15.740
This is like the foundation of post-millennialism is in Matthew chapter number 24, you know,

47:15.740 --> 47:23.740
which is like one of the big it's probably like the prophecy chapter, you know, in the Gospels.

47:23.740 --> 47:24.740
Right.

47:24.740 --> 47:26.740
This is like the prophecy chapter.

47:26.740 --> 47:27.740
OK.

47:27.820 --> 47:34.820
In the new version of the Bible, when the disciples, they come and ask, you know, they said,

47:34.820 --> 47:37.820
he sat upon the Mount of Olives and disciples came to him, privately saying,

47:37.820 --> 47:43.820
tell us what shall these things be and what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world.

47:43.820 --> 47:44.820
Right.

47:44.820 --> 47:46.820
That's what the actual Bible says is the end of the world.

47:46.820 --> 47:53.820
Well, they hang their entire doctrine on that not being world and instead being age.

47:53.820 --> 47:54.820
Right.

47:54.900 --> 48:00.900
So that's why you're pretty much never going to find a post-millennialist that's King James only

48:00.900 --> 48:09.900
because you can't be King James only and be a post-millennialist at the same time because that just blows up your entire eschatology.

48:09.900 --> 48:16.900
Your entire, and times, and times, ah, your entire eschatology is just blown away.

48:16.900 --> 48:17.900
Right.

48:17.900 --> 48:20.900
Because they asked when was the end of the world?

48:20.900 --> 48:23.900
And it's like, OK, has the end of the world happened?

48:23.980 --> 48:27.980
No, let me, let me check outside real quick.

48:27.980 --> 48:30.980
You know, I know it's windy, but, you know, still there.

48:30.980 --> 48:31.980
Right.

48:31.980 --> 48:34.980
The end of the world hasn't happened yet, my friend.

48:34.980 --> 48:38.980
So it kind of destroys their entire doctrine.

48:38.980 --> 48:39.980
Right.

48:39.980 --> 48:50.980
You know, and so, but, but this, but this is, this is a fundamental doctrine, though, is, hey, Jesus Christ is going to return and there's going to be a rapture.

48:50.980 --> 48:51.980
OK.

48:52.060 --> 48:57.060
You know, the second coming of Christ is, is, is, you know, it's going to happen.

48:57.060 --> 48:58.060
OK.

48:58.060 --> 49:06.060
Now, of course, you know, we differ from the vast majority of our fundamental brethren on the fact that we actually know when the timing is.

49:06.060 --> 49:07.060
OK.

49:07.060 --> 49:08.060
We don't screw up the timing like they do.

49:08.060 --> 49:21.060
And, you know, whenever, whenever you listen, if ever you listen to a post-millennialist talk about, you know, talk about these things, you know, they'll always generalize, you know, pre-millennialists.

49:21.140 --> 49:28.140
With dispensationalist and pre-tribbers, right, which is obviously annoying because that's, you know, that's, that's not what we believe.

49:28.140 --> 49:32.140
You know, we don't believe in a secret rapture that's nowhere in the Bible.

49:32.140 --> 49:35.140
You know, the Bible says here there's going to be a trumpet.

49:35.140 --> 49:37.140
You know, that's not very secret when you're sounding a trumpet.

49:37.140 --> 49:38.140
Right.

49:38.140 --> 49:42.140
And, you know, he's going to descend and the angels are going to go out into the four winds of the whole world.

49:42.140 --> 49:44.140
So it's going to be like a big major event.

49:44.140 --> 49:50.140
And there's other places in the Bible where it says it will be like lightning going from all the way from the east to the west.

49:50.220 --> 49:51.220
Right.

49:51.220 --> 49:52.220
Nobody's going to miss it.

49:52.220 --> 49:55.220
It's going to be a big, big deal.

49:55.220 --> 50:01.220
But the post-millennialists, I mean, they say that they believe in a rapture.

50:01.220 --> 50:11.220
But, you know, until until I was studying for the sermon, I actually didn't really know what post-millennialists post-millennialists believed about the rapture.

50:11.220 --> 50:17.220
Because, you know, they never talk about it because what they say is just is probably because it's so silly.

50:17.220 --> 50:18.220
They don't like talking about it.

50:18.220 --> 50:19.220
Right.

50:19.300 --> 50:21.300
They'd rather talk about, you know, something else.

50:21.300 --> 50:26.300
They'd rather talk about, you know, their new Bible versions in Matthew 24, where it says age instead of world.

50:26.300 --> 50:27.300
Right.

50:27.300 --> 50:30.300
And, you know, they'd rather talk about, you know, well, which generation is it?

50:30.300 --> 50:34.300
Because it says this generation, you know, in Matthew chapter number 24.

50:34.300 --> 50:40.300
And, you know, instead of realizing that their whole doctrine is dumb because the actual Bible says the end of the world.

50:40.300 --> 50:41.300
Right.

50:41.300 --> 50:48.300
And so at the end of the day, though, you know, this is this is this is a fundamental doctrine is the fact that we're going to be we're going to be raised.

50:48.380 --> 50:49.380
Again.

50:49.380 --> 50:54.380
OK, we're going to be we're not going to be you know, our bodies are not going to be dead in the ground forever.

50:54.380 --> 50:56.380
Our bodies are going to be resurrected.

50:56.380 --> 50:59.380
OK, and we're going to be made new.

50:59.380 --> 51:01.380
And we actually know when it's going to happen.

51:01.380 --> 51:09.380
Now, you know, if somebody doesn't get the timing of the rapture right, it's not it's like, OK, well, you know, you can still be a fundamentalist, I guess, if you screw up the timing.

51:09.380 --> 51:12.380
But it is weird, though, when the Bible is pretty clear about it.

51:12.380 --> 51:14.380
It's like not that ambiguous.

51:14.460 --> 51:17.460
There's actually pretty clear scriptures on when the rapture happens.

51:17.460 --> 51:21.460
OK, and the Bible here is telling us that it is a fundamental doctrine.

51:21.460 --> 51:27.460
But, you know, obviously, the important part of the fundamental doctrine is that Jesus is going to return and our bodies are going to be made new.

51:27.460 --> 51:28.460
We're going to be resurrected.

51:28.460 --> 51:31.460
That's kind of the important part about this doctrine.

51:31.460 --> 51:32.460
Right.

51:32.460 --> 51:33.460
And let's see here.

51:33.460 --> 51:38.460
So the resurrection that and this the next one is and of eternal judgment.

51:38.460 --> 51:39.460
Right.

51:39.460 --> 51:43.460
And the Bible says in Hebrews 927, it says, and after the resurrection, the resurrection is dead.

51:43.540 --> 51:46.540
And as it is appointed and a man wants to die.

51:46.540 --> 51:49.540
But after this, the judgment.

51:49.540 --> 51:52.540
And so, you know, this is a fundamental doctrine.

51:52.540 --> 51:55.540
I mean, and this this will be a fundamental doctrine for getting saved.

51:55.540 --> 51:56.540
Right.

51:56.540 --> 52:01.540
Because obviously, you know, there's a there's a judgment that we don't want to be partakers of.

52:01.540 --> 52:02.540
Right.

52:02.540 --> 52:04.540
And that's what we're being saved from.

52:04.540 --> 52:08.540
You know, we're being saved from being in front of the great white throne judgment.

52:08.540 --> 52:09.540
Right.

52:09.620 --> 52:16.620
Because when the great white throne judgment comes, those of us that are saved are not going to be judged out of the things which are written in the books.

52:16.620 --> 52:17.620
Right.

52:17.620 --> 52:18.620
We're not going to be part of that judgment.

52:18.620 --> 52:19.620
We're going to be there watching.

52:19.620 --> 52:23.620
But we are not going to be judged by those things which are are written in the books.

52:23.620 --> 52:28.620
And then, of course, you know, what happens to the people that are judged out of those things which are written in the books?

52:28.620 --> 52:29.620
Well, the Bible is very clear.

52:29.620 --> 52:32.620
It says they're cast into the lake of fire and death and hell were cast in the lake of fire.

52:32.620 --> 52:33.620
This is the second death.

52:33.700 --> 52:38.700
And whosoever is not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

52:38.700 --> 52:43.700
I mean, how about I mean, what what's the fundamental doctrine of Christianity?

52:43.700 --> 52:44.700
How about hell?

52:50.700 --> 52:53.700
You know, hell is a fundamental doctrine to Christianity.

52:53.700 --> 53:00.700
And these people running around screwing up hell as a doctrine, they are not fundamentalists.

53:00.780 --> 53:03.780
And I believe that probably 90 percent of them are not saved.

53:03.780 --> 53:04.780
Right.

53:04.780 --> 53:09.780
I mean, maybe somebody could get confused and somebody could brainwash them about hell or whatever.

53:09.780 --> 53:17.780
But let me tell you, my friend, all these different sects of Christianity, of so-called Christianity that are screwing up hell, they're not saved, my friend.

53:17.780 --> 53:24.780
And, you know, when these people are running around, you know, messing with the doctrine of hell and saying, well, it's not eternal.

53:24.780 --> 53:25.780
You just kind of burn up.

53:25.780 --> 53:26.780
You know what?

53:26.780 --> 53:29.780
You know what's so sick and disgusting about that?

53:29.860 --> 53:34.860
That lessens the sacrifice and the value of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

53:34.860 --> 53:35.860
Right.

53:35.860 --> 53:42.860
Because what you and me deserved for our sin was to be eternally damned to hell.

53:42.860 --> 53:43.860
Right.

53:43.860 --> 53:52.860
Like the Bible says, where it says, where the worm dith not and the fire is not quenched, where the Bible says the smoke of their torment arises up forever and ever.

53:52.860 --> 53:54.860
And there is no rest day or night.

53:54.860 --> 53:57.860
I mean, this is what the Bible says, my friends.

53:57.940 --> 53:59.940
And it says that's what we deserved.

53:59.940 --> 54:02.940
But Jesus took that punishment for us.

54:02.940 --> 54:07.940
But then people want to come along and then reduce the punishment and say, well, it's not that at all.

54:07.940 --> 54:15.940
I mean, basically, if you go from eternal punishment in hell to being burned up, that's basically you may as well make the punishment zero.

54:15.940 --> 54:16.940
Right.

54:16.940 --> 54:17.940
Yeah.

54:17.940 --> 54:24.940
Because, I mean, if you compare infinity to something that's temporary, at the end of the day, it's an infinite difference.

54:24.940 --> 54:25.940
Yeah.

54:25.940 --> 54:26.940
It's good.

54:27.020 --> 54:32.020
So in their minds, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is infinitely less valuable.

54:32.020 --> 54:36.020
So it's like an infinite slap in the face to Jesus Christ.

54:38.020 --> 54:40.020
Tampering with hell is a wicked doctrine.

54:40.020 --> 54:43.020
It's a fundamental doctrine to the Christian faith.

54:43.020 --> 54:52.020
Somebody is just rejecting the fact that hell is an eternal punishment where somebody goes after they die to be punished for their sins.

54:52.020 --> 54:56.020
I would say they just don't believe the Bible and they may as well just not be a Christian at all.

54:56.100 --> 54:58.100
Because you're getting that from somewhere else.

54:58.100 --> 55:00.100
That's not what the Bible said.

55:00.100 --> 55:03.100
And if somebody says, well, you know, I believe in hell.

55:03.100 --> 55:05.100
I just think it's temporary.

55:05.100 --> 55:07.100
You just don't understand what hell is supposed to be.

55:07.100 --> 55:10.100
You just don't believe in hell at all.

55:10.100 --> 55:11.100
Right.

55:11.100 --> 55:14.100
And so, you know, it's the eternal judgment.

55:14.100 --> 55:15.100
Right.

55:15.100 --> 55:17.100
It's not a temporary judgment.

55:17.100 --> 55:20.100
It's not something that just happens temporarily and then it's over.

55:20.100 --> 55:22.100
You know, it's not probation or whatever.

55:22.100 --> 55:25.100
It's eternal judgment, my friend.

55:25.180 --> 55:28.180
You know, and so this is a fundamental of the faith.

55:28.180 --> 55:34.180
And so, you know, these Seventh-day Adventists, you know, all these different Christian groups that what are they?

55:34.180 --> 55:36.180
Jehovah's Witnesses.

55:36.180 --> 55:41.180
You know, I don't know what the Mormons believe about, you know, and who cares what the Mormons believe anyway.

55:41.180 --> 55:42.180
Right.

55:42.180 --> 55:45.180
But, you know, they're not Christians.

55:45.180 --> 55:47.180
That's a cult.

55:47.180 --> 55:48.180
Right.

55:48.260 --> 55:49.260
Right.

55:49.260 --> 55:59.260
Any Christian group that's running around teaching that hell is temporary, that hell basically that's just saying that hell doesn't exist is a cult.

55:59.260 --> 56:00.260
OK.

56:00.260 --> 56:02.260
It's a false, wicked cult.

56:02.260 --> 56:05.260
And they're not part of Christianity.

56:05.260 --> 56:06.260
Let's see here.

56:06.260 --> 56:11.260
Go ahead and turn to Matthew chapter number 28.

56:11.260 --> 56:12.260
Matthew chapter number 28.

56:12.260 --> 56:14.260
So what are we talking about?

56:14.260 --> 56:16.260
We're talking about what is a fundamentalist.

56:16.260 --> 56:17.260
Right.

56:17.340 --> 56:18.340
What's a fundamentalist?

56:18.340 --> 56:21.340
Again, a fundamentalist is just somebody that believes what the Bible says.

56:21.340 --> 56:22.340
Right.

56:22.340 --> 56:27.340
So a fundamentalist comes to the Bible verse where it says, hey, the smoke of their torment arises up forever and ever.

56:27.340 --> 56:29.340
And there's no rest day or night.

56:29.340 --> 56:32.340
They're like, oh, well, I guess it's forever.

56:32.340 --> 56:41.340
You know, there's somebody that comes to a verse in the Bible where it says, you know, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

56:41.340 --> 56:46.340
They say, oh, well, I guess if you ask Jesus to save you, then he does.

56:46.420 --> 56:48.420
You know, imagine that.

56:48.420 --> 56:49.420
Right.

56:49.420 --> 57:00.420
Somebody that they come along a verse in the Bible where it says, hey, we're going to be caught up together with him and with the Lord, you know, and we shall ever be with the Lord.

57:00.420 --> 57:07.420
They're like, OK, well, I guess Jesus, he's going to return someday to, you know, gather his children to to to rapture the children.

57:07.420 --> 57:08.420
Right.

57:08.420 --> 57:10.420
It's somebody that they just believe the Bible.

57:10.420 --> 57:11.420
Right.

57:11.500 --> 57:20.500
You know, what about what about what about, you know, you know, me and Ryan were talking about this earlier, you know, so I don't want to ruin his sermon.

57:20.500 --> 57:23.500
Well, what about what about the Ministry of Reconciliation?

57:23.500 --> 57:25.500
You know, we're here in Matthew, chapter number 28.

57:25.500 --> 57:28.500
This is a pretty fundamental doctrine to Christianity, my friend.

57:28.500 --> 57:33.500
This isn't necessarily one of the ones that's listed, you know, in Hebrews, chapter number six.

57:33.500 --> 57:38.500
But look, Hebrews, chapter number six is not an exhaustive list of all the fundamental doctrines of the Bible.

57:38.500 --> 57:39.500
Right.

57:39.580 --> 57:42.580
And it's not all the fundamental doctrines of Christianity because this is a big one, my friend.

57:42.580 --> 57:53.580
And in Matthew, chapter number 28, verse number 19 says, Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I've commanded you.

57:53.580 --> 57:56.580
And lo, I am with you always, even on the end of the world.

57:56.580 --> 57:57.580
Amen.

57:57.580 --> 58:01.580
Notice there, it says the end of the world, not end of the age.

58:01.580 --> 58:02.580
Right.

58:02.660 --> 58:09.660
But, you know, the Great Commission is a fundamental doctrine, is it not?

58:09.660 --> 58:14.660
I mean, this is the last thing that Jesus Christ told to the disciples before he went up into heaven.

58:14.660 --> 58:16.660
So this is a fundamental doctrine.

58:16.660 --> 58:20.660
And so, you know, and what is the Great Commission?

58:20.660 --> 58:23.660
Well, obviously, you know, we've talked about this many times.

58:23.660 --> 58:30.660
It's preaching the gospel, basically getting people saved, getting them baptized, and then teaching them Bible doctrine.

58:30.740 --> 58:35.740
OK, that's the threefold ministry of the Great Commission.

58:35.740 --> 58:43.740
But, you know, we covered baptism already, you know, and I'm currently doing the Bible teaching right now, so we're not going to, you know, we're doing that, right?

58:43.740 --> 58:46.740
So but I want to talk about that first part for a second.

58:46.740 --> 58:52.740
You know, going out and preaching gospel, getting people saved is a fundamental part of Christianity.

58:52.740 --> 58:57.740
Jesus said, If you be followers of me, I will make you fishers of men.

58:57.820 --> 59:00.820
He didn't say some of you will make fishers of men.

59:00.820 --> 59:03.820
He didn't say, well, the ones that have the special talent for it, I'll make fishers of men.

59:03.820 --> 59:07.820
He said, No, if you follow me, you will become a fisher of man.

59:07.820 --> 59:13.820
OK, it's not optional to be an actual follower of Jesus Christ.

59:13.820 --> 59:19.820
OK, to be a follower of Jesus Christ, you know, hey, what did he say in Luke chapter six?

59:19.820 --> 59:22.820
And why call you me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

59:22.900 --> 59:29.900
That the last commandment that Jesus gave us is, hey, go, you know, go preach the gospel to every creature, right?

59:29.900 --> 59:35.900
And, you know, as as a fundamental Baptist, you know, I want to do that correctly.

59:35.900 --> 59:37.900
I want to do that the right way.

59:37.900 --> 59:44.900
You know, what I want to do as a fundamental Baptist is I want to make it as easy as possible for people to get saved.

59:44.900 --> 59:47.900
I'm not interested in making it hard.

59:47.980 --> 59:56.980
OK, now a lot of fundamental Baptists have had some issues and have some problems with getting people saved.

59:56.980 --> 01:00:04.980
OK, they want to spiritualize everything and they want to cast stumbling blocks and stones in front of people for them to get saved.

01:00:04.980 --> 01:00:07.980
They're trying to make it more difficult than it actually is.

01:00:07.980 --> 01:00:12.980
You know, and I believe that this church, we do a good job of making it easy for people to get saved.

01:00:12.980 --> 01:00:15.980
But, you know, you know, and how do we do that?

01:00:16.060 --> 01:00:21.060
Well, obviously, you know, we do what's called confrontational soul winning, where we confront people with the gospel.

01:00:21.060 --> 01:00:24.060
We straight up ask them, hey, do you know that you're going to heaven when you die?

01:00:24.060 --> 01:00:25.060
Right?

01:00:25.060 --> 01:00:28.060
And if so, why do you think that?

01:00:28.060 --> 01:00:30.060
And if not, can I show you?

01:00:30.060 --> 01:00:31.060
Right?

01:00:31.060 --> 01:00:34.060
Because the Bible tells us how we can know to go to heaven.

01:00:34.060 --> 01:00:37.060
The Bible gives us all kinds of different scriptures on how we can know that we're on our way to heaven.

01:00:37.060 --> 01:00:38.060
Amen?

01:00:38.060 --> 01:00:39.060
And so we just show them.

01:00:39.060 --> 01:00:41.060
We show them how they can know, right?

01:00:41.060 --> 01:00:43.060
We show them, hey, look, you're a sinner.

01:00:43.060 --> 01:00:44.060
Look, you deserve hell.

01:00:44.140 --> 01:00:47.140
Look, Jesus Christ paid for all of your sins.

01:00:47.140 --> 01:00:50.140
Look, salvation is a free gift and all you have to do is put your faith in him.

01:00:50.140 --> 01:00:52.140
In order to get it.

01:00:52.140 --> 01:00:53.140
What are we doing?

01:00:53.140 --> 01:00:55.140
We're trying to make it easy for people to get saved.

01:00:55.140 --> 01:00:59.140
We're trying to break it down, make it make it easy for them to understand.

01:00:59.140 --> 01:01:01.140
You know what we don't do?

01:01:01.140 --> 01:01:03.140
We don't have them go to church for three years.

01:01:03.140 --> 01:01:08.140
And then when they asked to get saved, hand them a tract and say, read that and get yourself saved.

01:01:08.140 --> 01:01:09.140
What is that?

01:01:09.140 --> 01:01:12.140
You know, that's a problem in the fundamental Baptist movement.

01:01:12.220 --> 01:01:18.220
You know, if somebody has skin cancer, and I'm the, if I'm the doctor and somebody comes in with skin cancer,

01:01:18.220 --> 01:01:22.220
I'm not going to hand them directions on how to perform skin cancer surgery.

01:01:22.220 --> 01:01:24.220
And I say, here's some scalpels.

01:01:24.220 --> 01:01:27.220
Why don't you do perform surgery on yourself?

01:01:27.220 --> 01:01:28.220
Why don't you get rid of your cancer?

01:01:28.220 --> 01:01:30.220
No, they need help.

01:01:30.220 --> 01:01:32.220
They don't know how to get saved.

01:01:32.220 --> 01:01:34.220
They need somebody to show them how to get saved.

01:01:34.220 --> 01:01:37.220
That's what the Great Commission is.

01:01:37.220 --> 01:01:40.220
It's showing people how to be saved because they don't know how.

01:01:40.300 --> 01:01:43.300
And giving somebody an instruction manual just, hey, read this.

01:01:43.300 --> 01:01:44.300
You know what the Bible says?

01:01:44.300 --> 01:01:47.300
The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

01:01:47.300 --> 01:01:51.300
The Bible never says anywhere that people are going to read the Bible and get themselves saved.

01:01:51.300 --> 01:01:53.300
That's false doctrine, my friend.

01:01:53.300 --> 01:01:54.300
It's not true.

01:01:54.300 --> 01:01:55.300
That's not right.

01:01:55.300 --> 01:01:57.300
We need to help people get saved.

01:01:57.300 --> 01:02:02.300
OK, and, you know, I'm, you know, again, this is not what we do here.

01:02:02.300 --> 01:02:05.300
Nobody here is doing this, but I just get fired up when I hear about stuff like this.

01:02:05.300 --> 01:02:07.300
It makes me mad.

01:02:07.380 --> 01:02:10.380
And you know what else we do to help people get saved?

01:02:10.380 --> 01:02:12.380
We help them pray.

01:02:12.380 --> 01:02:14.380
We don't force people to make up their own prayer.

01:02:14.380 --> 01:02:15.380
Why?

01:02:15.380 --> 01:02:17.380
Because they've never prayed before.

01:02:17.380 --> 01:02:20.380
This is the first time they're actually calling upon the name of the Lord.

01:02:20.380 --> 01:02:22.380
They've never talked to God before.

01:02:22.380 --> 01:02:23.380
They don't know.

01:02:23.380 --> 01:02:24.380
How are they going to know what to do?

01:02:24.380 --> 01:02:26.380
How are they going to know what to say?

01:02:26.380 --> 01:02:29.380
This is what we're removing the stumbling blocks.

01:02:29.380 --> 01:02:31.380
We're making it easy.

01:02:31.380 --> 01:02:34.380
We're like we're trying to straighten the path, right?

01:02:34.380 --> 01:02:36.380
We're trying to straighten the path.

01:02:36.460 --> 01:02:38.460
I mean, there's limbs and stuff.

01:02:38.460 --> 01:02:40.460
We're trying to cut down the limbs in the trail.

01:02:40.460 --> 01:02:42.460
We're trying to pave it.

01:02:42.460 --> 01:02:44.460
We're making it easy, right?

01:02:44.460 --> 01:02:54.460
That's the job of an ambassador for Christ, is to go out, make the gospel clear, and help them believe in Jesus.

01:02:54.460 --> 01:02:55.460
Right?

01:02:55.460 --> 01:02:56.460
That's our job.

01:02:56.460 --> 01:03:01.460
You know, and, you know, a lot of the old IFB has a problem with this.

01:03:01.460 --> 01:03:04.460
A lot of them have an issue with this, where they want to over-spirit.

01:03:04.540 --> 01:03:07.540
Like they think they're more spiritual because they don't force people to pray.

01:03:07.540 --> 01:03:10.540
So you're just making it hard for them.

01:03:10.540 --> 01:03:12.540
That's all that is.

01:03:12.540 --> 01:03:14.540
You know, and you know what it is?

01:03:14.540 --> 01:03:17.540
It's people that don't want to help people get saved.

01:03:17.540 --> 01:03:19.540
They don't want to go soul winning.

01:03:19.540 --> 01:03:26.540
You know, for whatever reason, they don't want to preach the gospel, so they come up with, well, you know, it's just more spiritual if they force them to make their own prayer.

01:03:26.540 --> 01:03:29.540
You know, and just handing tracks to people.

01:03:29.540 --> 01:03:30.540
But here's the thing.

01:03:30.620 --> 01:03:33.620
You know, people grow up in an environment where they're doing that.

01:03:33.620 --> 01:03:34.620
Right?

01:03:34.620 --> 01:03:46.620
And so, I mean, if you go to a church your whole life where it's like, well, just hand somebody a track and hope they get saved by themselves, you know, you're probably going to end up doing something like that too.

01:03:46.620 --> 01:03:49.620
So it's a problem with the leadership of the old IFB.

01:03:49.620 --> 01:03:59.620
You know, instead of sticking by the old paths, you know, because this used to be like the bread and butter of the old IFB.

01:03:59.700 --> 01:04:04.700
I mean, a major thing that Jack Howell preached all the time is soul winning.

01:04:04.700 --> 01:04:09.700
You know, that was one of his most famous sermons.

01:04:09.700 --> 01:04:13.700
You know, it was the four, how did it go?

01:04:13.700 --> 01:04:15.700
The four calls for soul winning, right?

01:04:15.700 --> 01:04:22.700
You know, and he'd get up there and he's rocking the thing back and forth, pulpit or whatever, and you know, he's making a big deal out of it.

01:04:22.700 --> 01:04:23.700
Why?

01:04:23.700 --> 01:04:25.700
Because that's what the fundamentalist movement was built on.

01:04:25.700 --> 01:04:27.700
The soul winning, my friend.

01:04:27.780 --> 01:04:32.780
And you know what, Jack Howells, he preached a good soul winning message, my friend.

01:04:32.780 --> 01:04:36.780
And you know what, the old IFB would be wise to get back to that.

01:04:36.780 --> 01:04:40.780
Instead of this just over-spiritualizing, well, I don't force people to pray.

01:04:40.780 --> 01:04:42.780
You know, that's just foolishness right there.

01:04:42.780 --> 01:04:48.780
You know, it's like they think it's just less spiritual or something.

01:04:48.780 --> 01:04:49.780
Well, why?

01:04:49.780 --> 01:04:50.780
Why is it less spiritual?

01:04:50.780 --> 01:04:51.780
Explain it to me.

01:04:51.780 --> 01:04:52.780
Make it make sense.

01:04:52.780 --> 01:04:54.780
Why is it less spiritual to help people pray?

01:04:54.860 --> 01:04:57.860
There's nothing unspiritual about it at all.

01:04:57.860 --> 01:04:59.860
I mean, I don't know.

01:04:59.860 --> 01:05:01.860
It's just insane to me and it makes me mad.

01:05:01.860 --> 01:05:03.860
Maybe you can see that.

01:05:03.860 --> 01:05:05.860
Maybe it's coming across in the sermon.

01:05:05.860 --> 01:05:09.860
But Isaiah, go ahead and turn to Isaiah chapter number 58.

01:05:09.860 --> 01:05:13.860
But you know, soul winning again, it's a fundamental doctrine, right?

01:05:13.860 --> 01:05:16.860
And I believe that we should just be doing it right.

01:05:16.860 --> 01:05:18.860
We should be making it easy for people to get saved.

01:05:18.860 --> 01:05:20.860
We shouldn't be making it hard, right?

01:05:20.860 --> 01:05:23.860
You know, as a person, I think it's important to be doing it right.

01:05:23.940 --> 01:05:26.940
You know, and maybe a lot of people, they just need some training,

01:05:26.940 --> 01:05:29.940
you know, on how to make it easy, right?

01:05:29.940 --> 01:05:31.940
And why we're making it easy, right?

01:05:31.940 --> 01:05:35.940
You know, sometimes people just need a kick in the pants for them to get it right.

01:05:35.940 --> 01:05:36.940
Amen?

01:05:36.940 --> 01:05:39.940
And you know, another thing about fundamentalists,

01:05:39.940 --> 01:05:42.940
how about another fundamental doctrine that, you know,

01:05:42.940 --> 01:05:46.940
that we expect to have and expect to see at a fundamental church

01:05:46.940 --> 01:05:48.940
is how about hard preaching, right?

01:05:48.940 --> 01:05:51.940
You know, Isaiah chapter 58, it says, verse number one,

01:05:52.020 --> 01:05:55.020
it says, cry loud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet

01:05:55.020 --> 01:05:58.020
and show my people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sin.

01:05:58.020 --> 01:06:00.020
You know what?

01:06:00.020 --> 01:06:01.020
Excuse me.

01:06:01.020 --> 01:06:05.020
A fundamental part of Christianity is hard preaching.

01:06:05.020 --> 01:06:07.020
Why?

01:06:07.020 --> 01:06:09.020
Because we're all sinful, right?

01:06:09.020 --> 01:06:11.020
We all screw up in some way.

01:06:11.020 --> 01:06:14.020
You know, there's a lot of fundamental Baptists that grew up in a church

01:06:14.020 --> 01:06:16.020
where they're making it hard for people to get saved.

01:06:16.020 --> 01:06:20.020
Well, they need some hard preaching to get that stupidity out of them, right?

01:06:20.100 --> 01:06:24.100
And so, you know, again, though, I use that example of soul winning, right?

01:06:24.100 --> 01:06:27.100
But look, we all have issues and problems in our lives

01:06:27.100 --> 01:06:31.100
and we need hard preaching to get, help us get the sin out of our lives.

01:06:31.100 --> 01:06:33.100
That's a part of Christianity, my friend.

01:06:33.100 --> 01:06:36.100
You know, we preach to people all the time, hey, look, you know,

01:06:36.100 --> 01:06:39.100
for you to be saved, you don't have to do any works,

01:06:39.100 --> 01:06:41.100
you don't have to get any sins out of your lives,

01:06:41.100 --> 01:06:43.100
you don't have to do any of that.

01:06:43.100 --> 01:06:46.100
All you have to do is put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, right?

01:06:46.100 --> 01:06:47.100
But guess what?

01:06:47.100 --> 01:06:49.100
That's not all of Christianity.

01:06:49.180 --> 01:06:51.180
It's like, hey, you need to get right.

01:06:51.180 --> 01:06:53.180
Hey, you need to stop screwing up.

01:06:53.180 --> 01:06:55.180
Hey, you need to get sin out of your life, right?

01:06:55.180 --> 01:06:57.180
And so what do we need for that?

01:06:57.180 --> 01:06:59.180
We need hard preaching.

01:06:59.180 --> 01:07:01.180
This is part of Christianity.

01:07:01.180 --> 01:07:03.180
And what, you know, what's hard preaching?

01:07:03.180 --> 01:07:07.180
It's preaching that's going to specifically help you

01:07:07.180 --> 01:07:10.180
to correct problems and issues in your life, right?

01:07:10.180 --> 01:07:17.180
And so, you know, it's just, it's part of, it's part of Christianity.

01:07:17.260 --> 01:07:23.260
And, you know, we don't, we don't need any more preaching in this world.

01:07:23.260 --> 01:07:27.260
It's just this, this soft, pathetic preaching where you never change anything.

01:07:27.260 --> 01:07:30.260
You know, I went to, you know, a new evangelical church

01:07:30.260 --> 01:07:32.260
until I was like 14 years old.

01:07:32.260 --> 01:07:34.260
I went to a Nazarene church for five years.

01:07:34.260 --> 01:07:40.260
You know, and in those churches, I can't even remember hardly any of the preaching at all

01:07:40.260 --> 01:07:42.260
because it was just forgettable.

01:07:42.260 --> 01:07:43.260
Why?

01:07:43.260 --> 01:07:45.260
Because none of it was hard.

01:07:45.340 --> 01:07:48.340
I never had my stove stepped on.

01:07:48.340 --> 01:07:52.340
You know, I probably wasn't even paying hardly any attention half the time.

01:07:52.340 --> 01:07:54.340
And, you know, in the Nazarene church, I was a little bit older.

01:07:54.340 --> 01:07:56.340
You know, I was, I was paying attention.

01:07:56.340 --> 01:08:01.340
And, you know, I can only remember like a couple things that were ever taught at that church.

01:08:01.340 --> 01:08:06.340
You know, I remember this, the preacher up there, the pastor up there,

01:08:06.340 --> 01:08:09.340
he was saying like, he was like, oh yeah, you know, I don't think there's any problem

01:08:09.340 --> 01:08:10.340
with having a bunch of different Bible versions.

01:08:10.340 --> 01:08:13.340
I want people to be able to help and understand, read the Bible or whatever.

01:08:13.420 --> 01:08:16.420
You know, so I can remember him teaching false doctrine.

01:08:16.420 --> 01:08:17.420
Right?

01:08:17.420 --> 01:08:20.420
Well, I can hardly remember anything else.

01:08:20.420 --> 01:08:21.420
Why?

01:08:21.420 --> 01:08:26.420
Because, I mean, I mean, it's just like, you know, reading some Bible story and then,

01:08:26.420 --> 01:08:29.420
you know, a little bit of light preaching, a little sermonette or whatever.

01:08:29.420 --> 01:08:33.420
And, you know, did I ever leave like a changed person?

01:08:33.420 --> 01:08:35.420
No, no.

01:08:35.420 --> 01:08:38.420
And so, you know, we need, we need hard biblical preaching.

01:08:38.420 --> 01:08:39.420
Right?

01:08:39.420 --> 01:08:42.420
And it says in 2nd Timothy chapter number four, verse number one, it says,

01:08:42.500 --> 01:08:43.500
Right?

01:09:08.500 --> 01:09:11.500
So, what is the Bible saying here?

01:09:11.580 --> 01:09:14.580
We need to preach the Bible.

01:09:14.580 --> 01:09:15.580
Right?

01:09:16.580 --> 01:09:18.580
Seems like a fundamental doctrine to me.

01:09:18.580 --> 01:09:22.580
Like, we're not getting up here and preaching my own opinion and preaching just what I think.

01:09:22.580 --> 01:09:23.580
Right?

01:09:23.580 --> 01:09:24.580
We're preaching the Bible.

01:09:24.580 --> 01:09:25.580
Right?

01:09:25.580 --> 01:09:31.580
Like, we're preaching about, you know, how soul winning is making it easy for people to get saved.

01:09:31.580 --> 01:09:32.580
Right?

01:09:32.580 --> 01:09:40.580
And, but people, they want to have these fables and these itching ears and they want to hear some alternative way of doing soul winning.

01:09:40.660 --> 01:09:41.660
Right?

01:09:41.660 --> 01:09:43.660
Where you're just doing door hangers.

01:09:43.660 --> 01:09:50.660
You know, I heard in a Baptist church one time, you know, they're like, oh, well, you know, you can just, you can just go up the door.

01:09:50.660 --> 01:09:51.660
You know, you knock on the door.

01:09:51.660 --> 01:09:55.660
You just hand them the invitation and you say, we're inviting people to church.

01:09:55.660 --> 01:09:57.660
And then you say, haven't I, Stan?

01:09:57.660 --> 01:09:58.660
You run away.

01:09:58.660 --> 01:10:00.660
And there's, is that soul winning?

01:10:00.660 --> 01:10:01.660
Yes.

01:10:01.660 --> 01:10:03.660
Yes, that's soul winning.

01:10:03.660 --> 01:10:09.660
You know what that, but the truth about that is though, if you go by what the Bible says, that's not soul winning.

01:10:09.740 --> 01:10:10.740
Why?

01:10:10.740 --> 01:10:18.740
Because soul winning is preaching the gospel to every creature and is handing somebody a tract preaching gospel?

01:10:18.740 --> 01:10:19.740
No.

01:10:19.740 --> 01:10:20.740
You know what?

01:10:20.740 --> 01:10:26.740
And really the only reason why we even have the invites is as an icebreaker.

01:10:26.740 --> 01:10:27.740
Because it's awkward.

01:10:27.740 --> 01:10:31.740
It would be really awkward to just be like knock on somebody's door and they open the door.

01:10:31.740 --> 01:10:34.740
We're just like, hey, we're from a Baptist church.

01:10:34.740 --> 01:10:36.740
Are you going to heaven when you die?

01:10:36.740 --> 01:10:38.740
That'd be awkward, right?

01:10:38.820 --> 01:10:44.820
It makes it way better to be like, here, we're from a Baptist church, right?

01:10:44.820 --> 01:10:46.820
It's just 10 times better, right?

01:10:46.820 --> 01:10:50.820
And so, you know, that's what that is for, right?

01:10:50.820 --> 01:10:55.820
We're not just handing out invites just for the sake of handing out invites, right?

01:10:55.820 --> 01:10:58.820
I mean, how many people have actually come to our church due to the invite?

01:10:58.820 --> 01:10:59.820
Five?

01:10:59.820 --> 01:11:01.820
You know, and how many years?

01:11:01.820 --> 01:11:07.820
I mean, we've been here seven years and we've had five people come because of the invite, right?

01:11:07.900 --> 01:11:12.900
So the invite is not there to get people to come to our church.

01:11:12.900 --> 01:11:15.900
It's a great side effect whenever it happens, amen?

01:11:15.900 --> 01:11:18.900
We love it when people show up because of the invite.

01:11:18.900 --> 01:11:20.900
But that's not the purpose, right?

01:11:20.900 --> 01:11:27.900
But, you know, again, the Bible says, you know, we're ambassadors for Christ, right?

01:11:27.900 --> 01:11:30.900
We're trying to reconcile people to Christ, right?

01:11:30.980 --> 01:11:37.980
We're going and negotiating, you know, with people to get them to come on to Christ's side, right?

01:11:37.980 --> 01:11:40.980
I mean, that's what, like, an ambassador is going to be doing.

01:11:40.980 --> 01:11:42.980
He's, like, negotiating, right?

01:11:42.980 --> 01:11:45.980
And, you know, the negotiator, again, he's supposed to try to make it easy

01:11:45.980 --> 01:11:48.980
because we want everybody that can possibly come to come on our side

01:11:48.980 --> 01:11:51.980
so we're going to make it as easy as possible, right?

01:11:51.980 --> 01:11:52.980
Amen?

01:11:52.980 --> 01:11:56.980
And so, again, you know, we need biblical preaching, right?

01:11:57.060 --> 01:12:02.060
And, you know, this is something that a lot of fundamental Baptists have screwed up on over the years,

01:12:02.060 --> 01:12:07.060
you know, where they're getting up and they're preaching a lot of unbiblical doctrines.

01:12:07.060 --> 01:12:10.060
Like, you know, they're getting up and they're preaching dispensationalism.

01:12:10.060 --> 01:12:12.060
Sorry, my friend, that's not in the Bible.

01:12:12.060 --> 01:12:16.060
You know, they're getting up and they're preaching, you know, these weird sermons

01:12:16.060 --> 01:12:18.060
where they're making salvation confusing.

01:12:18.060 --> 01:12:22.060
And, you know, unfortunately, a lot of fundamental Baptists are just wrong on salvation.

01:12:22.060 --> 01:12:26.060
They have a repent of your sins, a false doctrine, and they're just wrong.

01:12:26.140 --> 01:12:31.140
And they need to scrape that foundation and they need to pour it again and get salvation right.

01:12:31.140 --> 01:12:36.140
Okay, they need to have, you know, Bible preaching, right?

01:12:36.140 --> 01:12:41.140
And so, you know, again, what's a fundamentalist?

01:12:41.140 --> 01:12:46.140
Well, that's somebody that just picks up the Bible, reads it, and believes what it says.

01:12:46.140 --> 01:12:51.140
You know, and, you know, again, there's kind of like these different levels of fundamentalism, right?

01:12:51.140 --> 01:12:55.140
You know, because, like, you have certain, like, fundamental Baptists

01:12:55.220 --> 01:13:00.220
that are just not even saved, like Stacely Shiflett, this guy, you know, he's not even saved.

01:13:00.220 --> 01:13:03.220
So he shouldn't be calling himself a fundamental Baptist.

01:13:03.220 --> 01:13:06.220
He should be just like a Methodist or something else, right?

01:13:06.220 --> 01:13:10.220
You know, or a Catholic. He can be a Catholic, he can be a Methodist, he can be a Presbyterian.

01:13:10.220 --> 01:13:12.220
He can be pretty much anything else.

01:13:12.220 --> 01:13:15.220
He should link up with, like, Doug Wilson and have a false Bible version.

01:13:15.220 --> 01:13:19.220
I mean, if you're going to get salvation wrong, you may as well go all the way, right?

01:13:19.220 --> 01:13:23.220
And distinguish yourself from the actual Baptist, okay?

01:13:23.300 --> 01:13:29.300
But, you know, but then you have kind of the general life be where, you know, they got salvation right.

01:13:29.300 --> 01:13:31.300
You know, they've got the King James Bible.

01:13:31.300 --> 01:13:34.300
You know, they're not post-millennial, right?

01:13:34.300 --> 01:13:37.300
They might be screwed up on dispensationalism, whatever.

01:13:37.300 --> 01:13:41.300
But, you know, but they're still a fundamentalist, right?

01:13:41.300 --> 01:13:44.300
But then you kind of boil those things away, get rid of the false doctrine,

01:13:44.300 --> 01:13:48.300
and you get rid of, you know, the Zionism and the dispensationalism,

01:13:48.300 --> 01:13:52.300
and you get rid of the bad soul-witting practices.

01:13:52.380 --> 01:13:57.380
You get rid of all that, you know, and eventually you just become new IFB, right?

01:13:57.380 --> 01:14:01.380
You just become, you know, the pure fundamental Baptist, right?

01:14:01.380 --> 01:14:06.380
And in Isaiah chapter number 58, if you want to go back there,

01:14:12.380 --> 01:14:16.380
back to Isaiah chapter number 58, look at verse number 12.

01:14:16.460 --> 01:14:19.460
And they shall be, excuse me,

01:14:36.460 --> 01:14:41.460
And so, you know, in this, we'll call this the building of fundamentalism, right?

01:14:41.540 --> 01:14:46.540
In this building of fundamentalism, you know, over the years,

01:14:46.540 --> 01:14:50.540
there's different people that come along, like vandals, right?

01:14:50.540 --> 01:14:55.540
You know, I guess that's the Idaho Vandals, that's their mascot, right?

01:14:55.540 --> 01:14:57.540
You know, you've got these vandals coming in,

01:14:57.540 --> 01:15:00.540
and they're punching holes in the wall, and they're scratching things up,

01:15:00.540 --> 01:15:03.540
and they're messing stuff up, right?

01:15:03.540 --> 01:15:06.540
And so, you know, eventually somebody's got to come along,

01:15:06.540 --> 01:15:10.540
and they're like, hey, there's these problems with our building here.

01:15:10.620 --> 01:15:14.620
Let's get some mortar, let's get some bricks, let's get some timber,

01:15:14.620 --> 01:15:17.620
let's get some drywall, or whatever, if we're in America.

01:15:17.620 --> 01:15:20.620
We need to fix these problems with the temple.

01:15:20.620 --> 01:15:24.620
We've got to fix these problems with our building of fundamentalism here.

01:15:24.620 --> 01:15:25.620
There are some issues.

01:15:25.620 --> 01:15:28.620
And so, in every generation, you know, there's got to be somebody

01:15:28.620 --> 01:15:31.620
that comes along and does an inspection.

01:15:31.620 --> 01:15:34.620
We need a building inspection on fundamentalism today, my friend,

01:15:34.620 --> 01:15:38.620
that comes along and looks around, finds the cracks,

01:15:38.700 --> 01:15:41.700
and identifies the problems and the issues, right?

01:15:41.700 --> 01:15:44.700
Now, hopefully, there's nothing wrong with the foundation, right?

01:15:44.700 --> 01:15:46.700
Because, you know, we're believing in Jesus Christ,

01:15:46.700 --> 01:15:50.700
we're King James only, you know, we're not off on some weird squirrely doctrine

01:15:50.700 --> 01:15:52.700
of repent of your sins or something like that, right?

01:15:52.700 --> 01:15:55.700
So the foundation's good, we've inspected it, it's fine,

01:15:55.700 --> 01:15:58.700
but you know what, there's a major crack in the wall over there

01:15:58.700 --> 01:16:00.700
called dispensationalism.

01:16:00.700 --> 01:16:02.700
There's a major crack in the wall over there

01:16:02.700 --> 01:16:05.700
called the pre-tribulational rapture, right?

01:16:05.780 --> 01:16:08.780
We need to come in and, hey, we're going to fix that crack.

01:16:08.780 --> 01:16:13.780
You know, there's a leak in the ceiling called bad soul winning practices

01:16:13.780 --> 01:16:17.780
and it's causing mold and it's causing damage

01:16:17.780 --> 01:16:18.780
throughout the building, right?

01:16:18.780 --> 01:16:21.780
We're going to get up there, we're going to fix that leak.

01:16:21.780 --> 01:16:22.780
Right?

01:16:22.780 --> 01:16:26.780
And I believe every generation needs to have a group of people

01:16:26.780 --> 01:16:29.780
that come in and they're inspecting that building

01:16:29.780 --> 01:16:32.780
and finding the issues and finding the problems, right?

01:16:32.780 --> 01:16:33.780
And fixing them.

01:16:33.860 --> 01:16:36.860
Because you know what, we could just be, you know,

01:16:36.860 --> 01:16:41.860
if we're just lazy and we just decide, no, you know, it's fine,

01:16:41.860 --> 01:16:43.860
what we've been doing here has been working

01:16:43.860 --> 01:16:47.860
and we just kind of let the doctrine just kind of creep away

01:16:47.860 --> 01:16:50.860
and let the doctrine get bad,

01:16:50.860 --> 01:16:54.860
where we're not making our doctrine clear,

01:16:54.860 --> 01:16:58.860
and we're not being clear about the Trinity, right?

01:16:58.860 --> 01:17:01.860
All of a sudden we're all wishy-washy on the Trinity,

01:17:01.940 --> 01:17:03.940
and we're going back on what we said about the Trinity

01:17:03.940 --> 01:17:04.940
and all of a sudden we're just agreeing

01:17:04.940 --> 01:17:07.940
with whatever the Catholics said for some stupid reason,

01:17:07.940 --> 01:17:08.940
which, you know, if the Catholics,

01:17:08.940 --> 01:17:11.940
I mean, why would we agree on the Catholics,

01:17:11.940 --> 01:17:14.940
we're just going to assume that the Catholics are just always correct

01:17:14.940 --> 01:17:16.940
in the Trinity just because that's what the Catholics said?

01:17:16.940 --> 01:17:17.940
No!

01:17:17.940 --> 01:17:20.940
The Catholics, okay, in general, I suppose the Catholics,

01:17:20.940 --> 01:17:22.940
they get that there's the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

01:17:22.940 --> 01:17:26.940
Okay, we agree on the Trinity, you know, to that effect, right?

01:17:26.940 --> 01:17:29.940
But if you get down, you're digging deep on the Trinity

01:17:30.020 --> 01:17:32.020
and you're just going with what the Catholics says

01:17:32.020 --> 01:17:35.020
instead of what the Bible says, that's a problem, my friend!

01:17:35.020 --> 01:17:39.020
So we shouldn't be lazy and just let, you know, let the building decay.

01:17:39.020 --> 01:17:42.020
We can't be letting the building decay.

01:17:42.020 --> 01:17:44.020
We need to tighten things up on the Trinity

01:17:44.020 --> 01:17:46.020
and make sure people aren't being screwed up

01:17:46.020 --> 01:17:48.020
and messed up on the Trinity, my friend.

01:17:48.020 --> 01:17:50.020
We need to tighten these things up

01:17:50.020 --> 01:17:52.020
and we need to inspect the building

01:17:52.020 --> 01:17:55.020
and check for problems, right?

01:17:55.020 --> 01:17:58.020
You know, every once in a while you need to peek up into the attic

01:17:58.100 --> 01:18:01.100
and make sure you don't have water damage coming in, right?

01:18:01.100 --> 01:18:04.100
And peek up into the attic and check and make sure

01:18:04.100 --> 01:18:08.100
that the two by fours and everything are actually up to code.

01:18:08.100 --> 01:18:10.100
Make sure they're actually two by fours.

01:18:10.100 --> 01:18:12.100
You know, instead of lap boarding or something like that,

01:18:12.100 --> 01:18:14.100
holding up the roof under your garage,

01:18:14.100 --> 01:18:16.100
it's like, oh, that's not good, right?

01:18:16.100 --> 01:18:19.100
And so, you know, we need to go through and inspect

01:18:19.100 --> 01:18:22.100
and make sure, okay, is this fundamental?

01:18:22.100 --> 01:18:24.100
Is this truly fundamental, right?

01:18:24.100 --> 01:18:26.100
Because there's a lot of different issues

01:18:26.180 --> 01:18:28.180
and a lot of different problems that can come up

01:18:28.180 --> 01:18:31.180
where it's like, hey, this isn't matching what the Bible says.

01:18:31.180 --> 01:18:34.180
And we need to sweep out that bad doctrine.

01:18:34.180 --> 01:18:37.180
You know, we need to, you know, we come in

01:18:37.180 --> 01:18:39.180
and there's a bunch of bricks broken out in the wall.

01:18:39.180 --> 01:18:41.180
We need to sweep out all the debris,

01:18:41.180 --> 01:18:45.180
get rid of it, clean it up, and patch that wall, my friend.

01:18:45.180 --> 01:18:46.180
You know what?

01:18:46.180 --> 01:18:48.180
I believe that that's a big thing that this church is doing.

01:18:48.180 --> 01:18:51.180
You know, we're getting rid of the bad doctrine

01:18:51.180 --> 01:18:53.180
out of fundamentalism.

01:18:53.180 --> 01:18:54.180
We're getting rid of it.

01:18:54.260 --> 01:18:57.260
We're just going with what the Bible actually says, my friend.

01:18:57.260 --> 01:18:59.260
Let's go ahead and bow our heads in our word of prayer.

01:18:59.260 --> 01:19:01.260
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this day, Lord.

01:19:01.260 --> 01:19:02.260
I thank you for everything you've done for us.

01:19:02.260 --> 01:19:04.260
We thank you for your word that we have,

01:19:04.260 --> 01:19:06.260
that we can learn all of these basic truths

01:19:06.260 --> 01:19:10.260
and then we can build our spiritual life

01:19:10.260 --> 01:19:12.260
on those doctrines, Lord.

01:19:12.260 --> 01:19:13.260
And I pray that you please bless us as we go.

01:19:13.260 --> 01:19:15.260
In dear Jesus' name, amen.

01:19:15.340 --> 01:19:16.340
Amen.

01:19:22.340 --> 01:19:24.340
And get some Brother Jay Center.

01:19:24.340 --> 01:19:25.340
Last one is song number 250,

01:19:25.340 --> 01:19:27.340
Burdens Are Lifted at Calvary.

01:19:28.340 --> 01:19:30.340
Song number 250,

01:19:30.340 --> 01:19:32.340
Burdens Are Lifted at Calvary.

01:19:39.340 --> 01:19:41.340
Let's sing it together on the first.

01:19:41.420 --> 01:19:45.420
Days are filled with sorrow and care.

01:19:45.420 --> 01:19:49.420
Hearts are lonely and drear.

01:19:49.420 --> 01:19:53.420
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:19:53.420 --> 01:19:58.420
Jesus is very near.

01:19:58.420 --> 01:20:02.420
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:20:02.420 --> 01:20:07.420
Calvary, Calvary.

01:20:07.500 --> 01:20:11.500
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:20:11.500 --> 01:20:16.500
Jesus is very near.

01:20:16.500 --> 01:20:20.500
Cast your care on Jesus today.

01:20:20.500 --> 01:20:24.500
Leave your worry and fear.

01:20:24.500 --> 01:20:29.500
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:20:29.500 --> 01:20:33.500
Jesus is very near.

01:20:33.580 --> 01:20:37.580
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:20:37.580 --> 01:20:42.580
Calvary, Calvary.

01:20:42.580 --> 01:20:46.580
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:20:46.580 --> 01:20:50.580
Jesus is very near.

01:20:50.580 --> 01:20:55.580
Troubled soul, the Savior can see

01:20:55.580 --> 01:20:59.580
every heartache and tear.

01:20:59.660 --> 01:21:03.660
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:21:03.660 --> 01:21:07.660
Jesus is very near.

01:21:07.660 --> 01:21:12.660
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:21:12.660 --> 01:21:16.660
Calvary, Calvary.

01:21:16.660 --> 01:21:21.660
Burdens are lifted at Calvary.

01:21:21.660 --> 01:21:24.660
Jesus is very near.

01:21:24.660 --> 01:21:26.660
Amen.

01:21:26.660 --> 01:21:27.660
Good to see you, Brother Ryan.

01:21:27.660 --> 01:21:28.660
Could you close the water prayer?

01:21:28.740 --> 01:21:29.740
Could you close the water prayer?

01:21:29.740 --> 01:21:34.740
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you God for this church and preaching here, Lord.

01:21:34.740 --> 01:21:39.740
I pray God that you will use our church as a beacon of light

01:21:39.740 --> 01:21:46.740
to just rebuild the bad doctrine that's been affecting fundamentalism.

01:21:46.740 --> 01:21:50.740
And I just pray God that you will help us and bless us here in Jesus' name.

01:21:50.740 --> 01:21:53.740
Amen.
