chapter. 39:33.040 --> 39:36.600 It's a great chapter on this topic which is unity. 39:36.600 --> 39:40.800 And let's read there starting in Ephesians chapter four verse number one. 39:40.800 --> 39:45.360 The Bible says this, I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you that you walk worthy 39:45.360 --> 39:51.040 of the vocation wherewith you are called with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, 39:51.040 --> 39:53.240 forbearing one another in love. 39:53.240 --> 39:58.960 Endeavoring, notice that endeavoring in verse three to keep the unity of the spirit in the 39:58.960 --> 40:00.500 bond of peace. 40:00.500 --> 40:05.440 There is one body and one spirit even as you are called and one hope of your calling. 40:05.440 --> 40:12.200 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and father of all who is above all and through 40:12.200 --> 40:15.400 all and in you all. 40:15.400 --> 40:19.560 And I love that beginning part of Ephesians four because it's really just hammering home 40:19.560 --> 40:23.800 this idea that Christians, we as saved Christians, we should have a lot of unity. 40:23.800 --> 40:26.680 And that is not something that really you can get. 40:26.680 --> 40:30.360 You cannot get the same level of unity that a saved person can have with another saved 40:30.360 --> 40:31.360 person. 40:31.360 --> 40:32.960 You can't get that with people in the world. 40:32.960 --> 40:34.320 And this kind of goes into that. 40:34.320 --> 40:38.400 It's just saying, hey, there's one Lord, one faith, one baptism. 40:38.400 --> 40:41.960 You know, despite our differences that we may have each our personal little quirks or 40:41.960 --> 40:44.560 whatever, we're all saved by the same Lord. 40:44.560 --> 40:45.560 Amen. 40:45.560 --> 40:47.120 We've all been baptized into the same salvation. 40:47.120 --> 40:48.120 Amen. 40:48.120 --> 40:52.200 And in the sense that like we've believed, therefore we've been baptized. 40:52.200 --> 40:56.480 There's one father like we don't have a different Jesus here that like, well, you have a little 40:56.480 --> 40:58.480 bit of a different Jesus than I do. 40:58.480 --> 41:00.280 But you know, we can come together and agree on something. 41:00.280 --> 41:02.180 Look, that's like a non-denom. 41:02.180 --> 41:04.680 That's like the ecumenicalism of the world. 41:04.680 --> 41:09.160 The Bible's teaching though here in Ephesians chapter four is that we have true unity. 41:09.160 --> 41:17.280 But despite that, despite that our unifying feature is God Almighty, one father, one Lord, 41:17.800 --> 41:19.000 one faith, one baptism. 41:19.000 --> 41:21.760 It tells us in verse three, notice the first word, endeavoring. 41:21.760 --> 41:27.240 It says endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit and the bond of peace. 41:27.240 --> 41:28.240 You know what? 41:28.240 --> 41:32.700 Despite the fact that we're all saved, despite the fact that we all believe the same gospel, 41:32.700 --> 41:35.680 despite the fact that we're all here at Anchor Baptist Church, despite the fact that we're 41:35.680 --> 41:40.160 all new IFB, we have to endeavor to keep the unity sometimes. 41:40.160 --> 41:41.760 Now, why is that true? 41:41.760 --> 41:44.640 Because it is not automatic. 41:44.640 --> 41:49.720 People want to find little discrepancies and little differences and they kind of want to 41:49.720 --> 41:55.400 feel special and they want, it's just human nature to try to like separate yourself from 41:55.400 --> 41:58.760 other people because you kind of think it makes you feel good sometimes, right? 41:58.760 --> 42:00.480 It's like, well, I'm not like that guy. 42:00.480 --> 42:02.160 Well, I mean, I might be saved. 42:02.160 --> 42:04.720 I might go to the same church, but I'm not like that guy, right? 42:04.720 --> 42:12.600 So there's this thought that creeps in even to Christians, right, of disunity, of kind 42:12.640 --> 42:14.680 of breaking up fellowship. 42:14.680 --> 42:18.640 Now, look, the Bible talks many times about good reasons to break fellowship. 42:18.640 --> 42:22.720 I mean, look, primary doctrines like the gospel, hey, there is no fellowship, but then that 42:22.720 --> 42:24.520 flies in the face. 42:24.520 --> 42:27.280 If it were like not true, that would fly in the face of this verse, right? 42:27.280 --> 42:30.320 Because this says one Lord, one faith, one baptism. 42:30.320 --> 42:33.840 Hello, I don't have the same Lord as the Church of Christ. 42:33.840 --> 42:36.840 I don't have the same Lord as the Catholic Church. 42:36.840 --> 42:39.060 They're serving their little G gods. 42:39.060 --> 42:40.780 They don't have the right gospel. 42:40.780 --> 42:42.680 They don't have the right salvation. 42:42.680 --> 42:44.240 We do, right? 42:44.240 --> 42:47.380 So there are good reasons to break fellowship, right? 42:47.380 --> 42:48.860 How about Bible versions? 42:48.860 --> 42:52.620 Look, I don't want to have fellowship with the church that's using the NIV. 42:52.620 --> 42:55.740 I don't want to have fellowship with a church that's using the ESV. 42:55.740 --> 42:56.740 Why? 42:56.740 --> 43:04.420 Because there's one Lord and God, Jesus Christ, is the Word and His Word is pure. 43:04.420 --> 43:08.900 I'm not going to play around with mixing and meddling with another Bible version. 43:09.500 --> 43:12.180 Now those are good reasons to break fellowship, right? 43:12.180 --> 43:15.220 Like hey, there are some reasons we should mark and avoid some people. 43:15.220 --> 43:18.420 Roman Shepard 16 talks about that, which pastor just went through in the midweek. 43:18.420 --> 43:22.440 There are reasons to mark and break fellowship, but here's the reality. 43:22.440 --> 43:23.720 Here's the other side of the coin. 43:23.720 --> 43:26.060 There are bad reasons to break fellowship. 43:26.060 --> 43:31.620 And that's my sermon this morning is this, bad reasons to break fellowship. 43:31.620 --> 43:34.460 Pastor just preached in Romans 16 about good reasons to break fellowship. 43:34.460 --> 43:35.460 How's that? 43:35.460 --> 43:36.460 How about this? 43:36.460 --> 43:42.220 That unsaved false prophet that the old IFB loves, he's a false prophet. 43:42.220 --> 43:44.140 He preaches work salvation. 43:44.140 --> 43:45.580 We should have nothing to do with him. 43:45.580 --> 43:47.460 Oh, but he's people, what are some of these bad reasons that people break fellowship? 44:32.780 --> 44:35.100 Turn if you would to Romans chapter number 14. 44:35.100 --> 44:37.020 You can lose your place in Ephesians 4. 44:37.020 --> 44:44.180 Turn to Romans chapter number 14. 44:44.180 --> 44:48.900 And look, the reason I'm bringing this up, let me just caveat, not caveat, excuse me, 44:48.900 --> 44:52.700 let me just contextualize is what I mean to say this really quickly. 44:52.700 --> 44:57.580 I'm not talking about the world breaking fellowship with us and I'm not talking about us having 44:57.580 --> 44:59.400 no fellowship with the world. 44:59.400 --> 45:01.380 That makes sense, right? 45:01.380 --> 45:04.500 Friendship of the world is enmity with God, period. 45:04.500 --> 45:11.860 What I'm talking about are saved people breaking fellowship with other saved people over stupid 45:11.860 --> 45:17.620 reasons, over bad reasons, over wicked, I submit to you, reasons. 45:17.620 --> 45:23.900 Here's one bad reason to break fellowship over secondary doctrines. 45:23.900 --> 45:25.940 And boy do we just see this. 45:25.940 --> 45:31.340 If you don't think this is real, go look at the comments on pastor's sermon about the 45:31.340 --> 45:34.060 rapture, the timing of the rapture. 45:34.180 --> 45:38.660 Boy, are there saved people out there that will break fellowship with you at the drop 45:38.660 --> 45:39.660 of a hat? 45:39.660 --> 45:40.660 Why? 45:40.660 --> 45:41.660 Because we have the wrong gospel? 45:41.660 --> 45:42.660 No. 45:42.660 --> 45:44.060 Because you're not using the King James? 45:44.060 --> 45:45.060 No. 45:45.060 --> 45:46.940 Because you're preaching like muddy work? 45:46.940 --> 45:47.940 No. 45:47.940 --> 45:50.780 Because you have a different secondary doctrine than them. 45:50.780 --> 45:52.820 And look, they're wrong anyway. 45:52.820 --> 45:54.860 The rapture happens after the tribulation. 45:54.860 --> 46:39.180 Number 1, secondary doctrines. 46:39.180 --> 46:44.100 Romans 14 verse 1 says this, him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful 46:44.100 --> 46:45.100 disputations. 46:45.100 --> 46:46.100 You know what that means? 46:46.100 --> 46:50.340 I'm going to receive the pre-tribber, but it's not going to make me doubt the post-trib 46:50.340 --> 46:51.340 rapture. 46:51.340 --> 46:54.340 Like, hey, I'll fellowship with you, but you're wrong. 46:54.340 --> 46:55.340 And that's okay. 46:55.340 --> 46:56.340 We're all wrong on something. 46:56.340 --> 47:01.220 I guarantee if we all could just like download our understanding of the Bible and all the 47:01.220 --> 47:04.860 doctrines of the Bible and laid them out next to each other, none of us would agree 100%. 47:04.860 --> 47:07.300 They're going to be weird secondary areas where we just disagree. 47:07.300 --> 47:08.660 We have a different view. 47:08.660 --> 47:09.940 That's okay. 47:09.940 --> 47:11.980 We don't have to break fellowship over that. 47:11.980 --> 47:12.980 Right? 47:12.980 --> 47:13.980 We're understanding this. 47:13.980 --> 47:16.460 Romans 14 verse 1, we just read verse 2, it says why? 47:16.460 --> 47:19.100 For one believeth that he may eat all things. 47:19.100 --> 47:21.420 Another who is weak eateth herbs. 47:21.420 --> 47:26.340 It's like, hey, another who is wrong believes the pre-trib rapture. 47:26.340 --> 47:29.260 Verse 3, let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not. 47:29.260 --> 47:30.780 And let not him which eateth not judge him. 47:30.780 --> 47:32.620 He that eateth for God hath received him. 47:32.620 --> 47:34.820 Who art thou that judgeth another man's servant? 47:34.820 --> 47:36.780 To his own master he standeth or falleth. 47:36.780 --> 47:40.180 Yea, he shall be holding up for God is able to make him stand. 47:40.180 --> 47:41.180 Look at verse number 5. 47:41.180 --> 47:42.180 It even goes on. 47:42.180 --> 47:44.620 One man esteemeth one day above another. 47:44.620 --> 47:46.380 Another esteemeth every day alike. 47:46.380 --> 47:49.260 Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 47:49.260 --> 47:51.660 He that regardeth the day regardeth it unto the Lord. 47:51.660 --> 47:56.180 And he that regardeth not the day to the Lord, he doth not regard it. 47:56.180 --> 47:58.700 He that eateth, eateth to the Lord. 47:58.700 --> 48:01.140 Do you see what Romans 14 is bringing up? 48:01.140 --> 48:02.380 It's kind of like Ephesians 4. 48:02.380 --> 48:08.020 Is it one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father overall? 48:08.020 --> 48:12.700 Romans 14 is like, hey, if they're celebrating this holiday, which that's another example 48:12.700 --> 48:14.700 that I'm going to get into, let them celebrate it unto the Lord. 48:14.700 --> 48:17.940 And if they're not doing it, well then let them not do it unto the Lord. 48:17.940 --> 48:22.260 Hey, we're all still saved by the same God. 48:22.260 --> 48:23.260 What does it matter? 48:23.260 --> 48:25.140 Who are you that judges another man's servant? 48:25.140 --> 48:26.940 We'll pick up there the latter half of verse 6. 48:27.940 --> 48:30.940 Then it says, for he that giveth, excuse me, for he giveth God thanks. 48:30.940 --> 48:33.940 Talking about the one that eats to the Lord. 48:33.940 --> 48:38.940 And he that eateth not to the Lord, he eateth not and giveth God thanks. 48:38.940 --> 48:42.460 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 48:42.460 --> 48:45.000 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord. 48:45.000 --> 48:47.240 Whether we die, we die unto the Lord. 48:47.240 --> 48:49.700 Whether we live therefore or die, we are the Lord's. 48:49.700 --> 48:50.700 I like how this is just repeated. 48:50.700 --> 48:51.700 It's like, are you alive? 48:51.700 --> 48:53.060 You're living for God. 48:53.060 --> 48:54.060 Are you dead? 48:54.060 --> 48:55.060 We'll die for God. 48:55.060 --> 48:56.940 Whether you're alive or dead, it's for God. 48:56.940 --> 49:00.300 Look, it's still the same concept as Ephesians 4 is telling us. 49:00.300 --> 49:04.060 It's one God, one faith, one baptism. 49:04.060 --> 49:09.820 Now, this is a vitri—the pre-trib rapture is one I kind of want to park it on of a reason 49:09.820 --> 49:10.820 for separation. 49:10.820 --> 49:13.500 And I'm not going to explain the truth of that doctrine. 49:13.500 --> 49:17.860 If you want that, go back and look at Pastor Sermon from last weekend and read the comments 49:17.860 --> 49:18.860 and read the Facebook comments. 49:18.860 --> 49:21.500 I think it's like hundreds. 49:21.500 --> 49:24.980 It's like four or five hundred comments on the Facebook post alone. 49:24.980 --> 49:27.820 And boy, it's a bunch of mad boomers. 49:27.820 --> 49:29.380 And I'm just telling you what it actually is. 49:29.380 --> 49:30.380 That's just the reality. 49:30.380 --> 49:31.980 I'm not trying to be some type of
